Bulger Girlfriend Indicted On Conspiracy
BOSTON, Aug. 11 (UPI) — Catherine Greig, girlfriend of Boston gangster James Whitey Bulger, was indicted Thursday by a federal grand jury on conspiracy charges, prosecutors said.
Greig, 60, of Quincy, Mass., was charged with conspiracy to harbor and conceal a fugitive, The Boston Globe reported.
The U.S. attorney’s office said Greig knew of a warrant for Bulger and conspired to prevent his arrest.
Greig was arrested with Bulger, 81, in June in Santa Monica, Calif. He has been charged with involvement in 19 murders.
Greig faces a possible sentence of five years in prison.
