Four-year-old Girl Allegedly Found Naked With Neighbor

REDLANDS, Calif., Aug. 10 (UPI) — A California man says he found his 4-year-old daughter naked in a neighbor’s apartment with the unclothed 52-year-old man, police said.
The father called Redlands police and waited for them outside the neighbor’s door, The (Riverside) Press-Enterprise reported. Terence Anthony Giberson was arrested Monday night.
“He showed remarkable restraint in getting his daughter out safely and leaving the rest to the police,” Carl Baker, a spokesman for the city, said Tuesday of the father.
Police said the little girl was playing outside the apartment complex when she disappeared. Her mother allegedly found a drinking cup outside Giberson’s apartment door and knocked, getting no answer.
The father broke down the door after the parents allegedly saw their daughter at a window, naked and crying.
Giberson was being held in lieu of $500,000 bail in the San Bernardino County Jail. Police said he refused to come out for about half an hour after they arrived and cut his wrist in what appeared to be an unsuccessful suicide attempt.
