Al Gore's Profanity-Filled Rant Against Climate Change Naysayers

Al Gore's Profanity-Filled Rant Against Climate Change Naysayers

Former Vice President Al Gore spoke at an Aspen Institute media forum on Thursday, discussing a subject with which he has become synonymous: global warming.

According to Real Aspen, Gore referenced the book Merchants of Doubt: How a Handful of Scientists Obscured the Truth on Issues from Tobacco Smoke to Global Warming by Naomi Oreskes and Erik M. Conway, which discusses how corporate lobbyists have influenced the climate change debate.

Gore reportedly said tobacco companies “succeeded in delaying the implementation of the surgeon general’s report for 40 years — 40 years! In every one of those 40 years the average number of Americans killed by cigarettes each year exceeded the total number of Americans killed in all of World War II: 450,000 per year. My sister was one of them… It was evil, evil, evil.”

Gore then said that a similar lobbying model “was transported whole cloth into the climate debate. And some of the exact same people — I can go down a list of their names — are involved in this. And so what do they do? They pay pseudo scientists to pretend to be scientists to put out the message: ‘This climate thing, it’s nonsense. Man-made CO2 doesn’t trap heat. It may be volcanoes.’ Bulls–t! ‘It may be sun spots.’ Bulls–t! ‘It’s not getting warmer.’ Bulls–t!”

According to the blog, then “Gore lamented the diminished role that reason and fact-based analysis play in modern U.S. politics.”

One of the real problems with global warming is the belief by many that man is more powerful than any natural thing that might ever have existed. So therefore man MUST be the cause of this problem – after all, man is all-powerful! He can control nature! He can stop earthquakes! (Well, maybe not.) He can control the sea! (It always goes out again after you order it to if you wait long enough.) He can control God! (At least the gays say we can.)

    • TML

I agree, but I think George Carlin say’s it best without any scientific mumbo jumbo… lol

“And the greatest arrogance of all: save the planet. What? Are these f–king people kidding me? Save the planet? We don’t even know how to take care of ourselves yet. We haven’t learned how to care for one another, we’re gonna save the f–king planet?

…the planet is doing great. Been here four and a half billion years. Did you ever think about the arithmetic? The planet has been here four and a half billion years. We’ve been here, what, a hundred thousand? Maybe two hundred thousand? And we’ve only been engaged in heavy industry for a little over two hundred years. Two hundred years versus four and a half billion. And we have the CONCEIT to think that somehow we’re a threat? That somehow we’re gonna put in jeopardy this beautiful little blue-green ball that’s just a-floatin’ around the sun?

The planet has been through a lot worse than us. Been through all kinds of things worse than us. Been through earthquakes, volcanoes, plate tectonics, continental drift, solar flares, sun spots, magnetic storms, the magnetic reversal of the poles…hundreds of thousands of years of bombardment by comets and asteroids and meteors, worlwide floods, tidal waves, worldwide fires, erosion, cosmic rays, recurring ice ages…And we think some plastic bags, and some aluminum cans are going to make a difference?”

      • hicusdicus

Whoa dude, what do you mean four and a half billion years old. The earth is only 6000 years old. You need to bone up on the bible and get your facts straight.

      • JeffH

hicusdicus, take a hiatus…according to wiki, “Earth formed 4.54 billion years ago, and life appeared on its surface within one billion years”

      • Dale on the left coast

        wiki was there I assume . . . LOL

      • Kate8

JeffH – Don’t you ever wonder how they get those numbers? 4.54 billion? Really?

Millions, billions, gazillions. Who cares. You just can’t establish something that far back. I think they make most of that stuff up.

        @Kate8 – Unlike religion, right?

      • JeffH

Kate8, it sure is…hey but global warming/climate change is the result of man…the Ice Age be damned.

That’s why they wouldn’t let my elementary kids use it for data collection nor as a reference on their reports.

I don’t buy the ‘pretender’ scientists ginormous billion of years… how the heck to they know? They have an ‘agenda’ and it isn’t TRUTH.

The Bible tells us how old the earth is… I’ll stick to TRUTH.

Yeah, and earth is still flat, and the sun still revolves around the earth.

    Attention:

    Science News:
Rising Carbon Dioxide Could Reverse Drying Effects of Higher Temperatures On Rangelands
ScienceDaily (Aug. 4, 2011) — Rising carbon dioxide (CO2) levels can reverse the drying effects of predicted higher temperatures on semi-arid rangelands, according to a study published in the journal Nature by a team of U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) and university scientists.
    Prairie Restoration
    Scientific opinion on climate change
Warmer temperatures increase water loss to the atmosphere, leading to drier soils. In contrast, higher CO2 levels cause leaf stomatal pores to partly close, lessening the amount of water vapor that escapes and the amount of water plants draw from soil. This new study finds that CO2 does more to counterbalance warming-induced water loss than previously expected. In fact, simulations of levels of warming and CO2 predicted for later this century demonstrated no net change in soil water, and actually increased levels of plant growth for warm-season grasses.

“By combining higher temperatures with elevated CO2 levels in an experiment on actual rangeland, these researchers are developing the scientific knowledge base to help prepare managers of the world’s rangelands for what is likely to happen as climate changes in the future,” said Edward B. Knipling, administrator of the Agricultural Research Service (ARS), USDA’s principal intramural scientific research agency.

The results cover the first four years of the eight-year Prairie Heating and CO2 Enrichment (PHACE) experiment on native northern mixed grass rangeland. The study is being conducted by the ARS Rangeland Resources Research Unit (RRRU) at the High Plains Grasslands Research Station near Cheyenne, Wyo.

ARS plant physiologist Jack Morgan leads the study, which uses both CO2 pipelines and thermal infrared heaters to simulate global warming conditions predicted for the end of the century: 600 parts per million (ppm) of CO2 — compared to today’s average 390 ppm — and day/night temperatures raised by 3 and 5 degrees Fahrenheit, respectively.

Based on these findings, warmer temperatures would likely play a role in changing the relative success of various grass types. “Only the warm-season grasses had their growth boosted higher by CO2 and warmer temperatures,” Morgan said. “If this leads to a competitive advantage for warm-season grasses, it may increase the challenges faced by ranchers who desire cool-season grasses for early-season forage.”

Elise Pendall and David Williams at the University of Wyoming at Laramie and Matthew Wallenstein at Colorado State University at Fort Collins also are participating in the study, which will be completed in 2013. Retired ARS soil scientist Bruce Kimball, designer of the infrared heater system, is helping conduct the study. Kimball serves as a research collaborator at the ARS U.S. Arid-Land Agricultural Research Center in Maricopa, Ariz.

Grass-dominated, dry rangelands account for approximately a third of Earth’s land surface, providing most of the forage eaten by livestock. This research, the first of its kind on this scale for rangelands, supports the USDA priority of helping farmers and ranchers throughout the United States and the rest of the world best adapt production practices to variable climate patterns.

Morgan said more research is needed to determine how the water-savings effect applies over the long run and in other types of semi-arid rangelands as well as to croplands in semi-arid areas. “It is important to understand that CO2 only offset the direct effects of warming on soil water in this experiment, and that it is unlikely to offset more severe drought due to combined warming and reduced precipitation projected for many regions of the world,” he said.

In addition to ARS funding, the research is supported by grants from the National Science Foundation, the U.S. Department of Energy, and USDA’s National Institute of Food and Agriculture

So what has this got to do with the exhaust pipe on my car, the amount beans I eat and the carbon tax?

      • http://Moreexpensive,moreunknowproblems. Lewis Munn

IF they can be used to raise the taxes, ie, better control your actions, politicians will do just that, as Obama gets laws through to raise the cost of energy until he collars the money supply so we have to bow the head for the yoke! Controlling the climate can be a most powerful, and despicable, way to force people to do what a dictator wants.

    • Karolyn

“proven to be lies and bogus science”

Proof can be found to discredit just about anybody or anything. It just depends on who you’re listening to and what you believe to be true. I’m sure I could find people who could discredit those you reference! :-) Truth is in the eye of the beholder!

      • hicusdicus

Boy howdy karoln, did you ever say a mouth full. Just look at all the nonsense connected to religion and so called god.

And, pray tell, who do you think deposited your hiney on this planet? Oh, that’s right, some bunch of scientists, eh? Some smarty-pants guys in lab coats just down the hallway. Oh, it was your parents wasn’t it? And where did your parents arrive from? Those lab coat guys? Nah, didn’t think so. Trust me, we ain’t all that and we didn’t get here by our stupid selves. We are not the sharpest tack in the box on the intelligence tree of the Universe. But, I don’t suppose you have any inclination toward Divine Intervention, though, do you? I’ll err on the side of the Holy Trinity, you keep on cruising down that path of yours.

Didn’t Fat Al and his buddy from NASA Hansen tell us in the 90′s that the ocean would rise 30 FEET by TODAY??? Didn’t they say the Arctic would be open water??? They LIED!!! Al got Rich with his krazy movie . . . that a judge in Britain banned because it contained Zero Science. Al is a “Con Man” . . . just as he was back in the day when he was Stealing Oil Rights from the Indians.

      • Isaac Davis

No, the truth is in the facts, mathematically provable facts. We aren’t in a courtroom debating some perps actions in a dark alley, and basing the juries decision on evidence, we are basing the rhetoric of gorebull warming (I love that one) on scientific facts that are vast and impeccable. Ice core samples from polar studies show that about every 150,000 years the Earth cycles through very warm and very cool periods…the cooling periods lasting much longer–go look it up and debate the facts. We are at the end of a warming period. When will humans ever learn that we aren’t some miscreants deposited on the Earth from another planet to junk it up, but we are just as much a part of this earth as ants and cockroaches and bacteria. We just have opposing thumbs. We have no more control of the planetary thermostat as we do of painting the moon green, but you’ll believe a crack-pot politican with an audience of jackasses every time. Show me any crowd of humans who have ever stopped a tornado, ever caused the sun not to rise and set, ever stopped the flow of sand on a beach, ever fixed a drought or prevented a flood. The Earth’s climate is changing…it’s called weather.

      • Stickwoman Red

Yes, it is weather. Period. End of discussion. Man cannot affect the weather. We can pollute the earth, water and skies, but we cannot change the seasons, change the temperature or the amount of precipitation the Earth receives. One of the hottest decades ocurred between 1880 and 1890, well before the Industrial Revolution began, thus warming the planet as Gore and the other mythical hockeystick graphic chart makers claim. Why ANYONE continues to believe a word that comes out of his fat face, is beyond me! But as P.T. Barnum said, “There is a sucker born every minute!”

      • Jana

        Stickwoman Red,
        You rock.

      • babybikerbabe

No truth is truth – like gravity kills. Truth is NOT in the eye of the beholder. That is opinion.

And we all know about opinions – they are like a**holes – everyone has them. Some are just more pronounced than others.

      • Kate8

Karolyn – Those who are refuting global warming aren’t doing it to make billions. Maybe trillions. They’re doing it because it’s a huge lie being put forth for purposes of controlling every move we make, every breath we take.

Always follow the money (and the power).

  • 2WarAbnVet

Only Al can save us from “Man Bear Pig”! (and get rich doing it)

  • Boliver

It cetainly sounds as if Al Gore has reached the Tipping Point.

    • eddie47d

Global Warming is a debatable subject and not an unreasonable assumption. Time will tell who is right and who is wrong. Massive and unusual forest fires in Russia and Australia. More than unusual flooding in the Himalayas. Glaciers disappearing from Mt Kilimanjaro. Glacier National Park once had 150 glaciers and now is down to about 25 in a short period of time. The volume of tornado’s and flooding in the Southeast and Midwest. As the earth warms more heat rises and creates a larger moisture pattern such as in our Northeast. Thus we have more powerful snowstorms. The Arctic Circle has lost just over a third of it’s mass in about a 5 year period. That has beat any ice age retreating by a long shot. Glaciers in South America have also dissappeared which is what produces fresh water supplies in the summer. Not a serious problem, then think again. What is causing the increase in droughts in Africa and the Western parts of our nation. What about ice bergs melting in the Antarctic region which is effecting the salt content of the oceans and ocean flow patterns. All this could be from solar flares from the sun but why call something a hoax when it it happening in front of our eyes. Some things we can’t do a thing about ( like solar flares) but pollution is effecting the atmosphere and the acidity of our oceans so neither side should be working with a closed mind. What I have read there is two layers of pollution (man made)in the atmosphere. One is heavy and trapping in the heat and the other thousands of miles higher is much lighter although keeping more heat from entering. Yes indeed man is changing what goes on in the natural world so keep the debate open.

      • tweezel

The debate really is not “Does global warming exist,” but it is “Does MAN-MADE Global Warming Exist.” The question is do governments have the right to take its citizen’s money to “fight” a problem that wasn’t caused by them? If it turns out the man’s impact is 2% and nature is 98%, we don’t have the technical means to mitigate CO2 concentrations in the atmosphere to any meaningful extent. On the other hand, the scheme is an effective way to transfer vast amounts of wealth through CO2 taxes and regulations.

It has been pointed out many times that CO2 is a far less effective greenhouse gas than methane or water vapor. So perhaps we should consider taxing cows (they emit methane) and clouds ;-)

By the way, there is no Earth atmosphere “thousands of miles higher.” I don’t know from where you get your information, but it has flaws.

      • Song

good points tweezel as for eddie, the more I read his posts, the more I am convinced he just makes things up as he goes.

      • JeffH

tweezel says “The debate really is not “Does global warming exist,” but it is “Does MAN-MADE Global Warming Exist.” ”

Thank you for that ovelooked and honest statement of fact.

Not being a member of the “scientific community” I will go out on a limb(all be it a very stable limb) and say that “global warming(climate change) has been a part of the world since it’s ceation.
I don’t believe the sharpest minds in history can debunk that statement…does that make me a genius for stating the obvious? No!

A little common sense goes a long way…Al Gore should try it sometime.

      • Jana

        Tweezel,Song, and JeffH,

        Hurrayyyyyy for common sense.
There are always the fear mongers out there who aren’t happy unless they promote more fear. Hmmm another word is terrorize people.

Yep, the leftists in our midst are terrorists.

      • Kate8

Jana – And they accuse US of fear mongering.

Everything they do is about fear. We’re either running out, using up, melting, freezing, killing off, over-populating, polluting, or otherwise irreparably damaging the Earth.

They just don’t believe anything is renewing, regenerating, self-limiting or durable. They think forcing austerity on us the way to save the world. And they try to destroy man’s incentive to innovate. In fact, they seek to destoy man altogether, while attempting to appear altruistic.

In other words, they have no faith outside of themselves and their small thinking.

Talk about the sky is falling.

      • eddie47d

tweezel: You are correct in saying that our atmosphere is not thousands of miles up and I should have said hundreds. More accurately 300-372 miles in depth.

      • Dale on the left coast

Edie . . . all you talking points are “Patent NONSENSE” . . .all have been Debunked by Real Scientists in the last few years.

        Anthropogenic Gorebull Warming . . . is a MYTH!!! . . .
The Reality is . . . the world has been Much Colder than today . . . and Much Warmer than today . . . so what’s the big deal???

      • Dick Hamilton

you get more icebergs when ice is soft, breaking, melting, not when it’s cold. I wonder how you’ll feel when the average sea level rises by 2 meters?

      • Isaac Davis

You believe that the Earth’s atmosphere is “thousands” of miles deep?
        eddie-u-cate yourself:
        http://www.srh.noaa.gov/jetstream/atmos/layers.htm
        Thermosphere
Above the mesosphere the thermosphere extends up to near 375 miles (600 km) above the earth. This layer is known as the upper atmosphere.

The gases of the thermosphere are increasingly thinner than in the mesosphere. As such, incoming high energy ultraviolet and x-ray radiation from the sun, absorbed by the molecules in this layer, causes a large temperature increase.

Because of this absorption, the temperature increases with height and can reach as high as 3,600°F (2,000°C) near the top of this layer; however, despite the high temperature, this layer of the atmosphere would still feel very cold to our skin because of the extremely thin air. The total amount of energy from the very few molecules in this layer is not enough to heat our skin.

Facts, and not your rhetoric, prove what is real vs. propaganda.

      • http://Moreexpensive,moreunknowproblems. Lewis Munn

Did man cause the huge trees to grow in Greenland 5000 years ago? That are melting out now? Or grapes to grow abundantly in Iceland in the times of the Vikings? Did man cause the Maunder minimum and the little ice age in the 1700′s? If man causes climate change, he works it both ways, it would appear.

And from the ice records, has been doing so for millions of years, in a regular cycle, which just happens to coincide with an earthly orbital cycle.

Now, if you check, you will find that man-made dust cools the atmosphere, just like dust from huge volcanic explosions does, and did twice in the 1800′s. Now Al Gore comes along and wants all dust cleaned up, and the rate of warming is rising fast as dust is removed from the atmosphere. Seems not to be working like he wanted???

The global warming has gone faster and faster as man has removed the dust from the atmosphere and let the sun’s heat down to the surface! Al Gore’s cleanup is counterproductive, it appears.

Lots more where Al Gore deliberately faked things to get his empire and riches going, no matter how much it hurt mankind in general.

What is wrong with you people! Don’t you know that there will be no January 28, 2016? Al Gore said we only have ten years left (he made this statement on Jan 27, 2008)! We are half way there! What shall we do? As I see it, there are two options, first we could bury our head in the sand, or option two we could have a five year party. What do ya think about the party option? Got beer?

  • Milissa

Read Global Warming and other Eco Myths. It does a great job of debunking the claims of the global warming/global cooling/climate change crowd.
And didn’t they find that the global warming crowd had cooked the books with their findings? Bullsh1t yourself, Mr. Gore!

  • http://adrianvance.blogspot.com Adrian Vance

CO2 is a trace gas in air and insignificant by definition. It is one-seventh the absorber of IR (heat) energy from sunlight compared to water vapor which has 80 times as many molecules generating 560 times as much heat as CO2 or 99.8% of it. CO2 only makes 0.2% of “global warming,” but…

Carbon combustion generates 80% of all our power. Political control and taxing of carbon would give the elected ruling class more money and power than anything since the signing of the Magna Carta in 1215 AD. It is just that simple. Anthropogenic global warming is a fraud for money and power.

For sharp analysis, science and humor see The Two Minute Conservative at http://adrianvance.blogspot.com Now on Kindle.

    • Boliver

Also, less than one third of all CO2 is manmade. Much of the increased CO2 over the last century has been a RESULT of warming, not the main driver. Convection (wind patterns, ocean currents), solar activity and the effect of clouds have as great an influence or greater than greenhouse gases. Manmade greenhouse gases have a pretty small influence on earth’s climate. It’s Al Gore who has a fever.

  • COTUS

    Useful Idiot

Gore’s ex-wife could tell us everything we need to know about him. Basically, all we need to know is that he is truly the product of a mindset that shakes its collective fist at truth and common sense on a daily basis. The only way such a LOSER could close to being in the W H as a prez says much about the abomination we call politics.
He’s a con artist. While he’s not very bright, he has lots of “help” to keep him filthy rich (I thought that was a sin among “elites”). It would be nice to know how much money he lost through the divorce, but that’s a side issue for now. Gore makes me think of some people I’ve met who are so defective that they can’t get through the day without LOTS of help.
And yet that raunchy mule’s rump almost oozed his way into the W H. What standards his braindead followers must have, eh? Like icon, like follower. Ugghhh!
Maybe we should put this Mama Earther/high priest of global warming on the spot, and encourage him to take in polar bears and other species as pets. I’m sure he can communicate with them. He might even be able to get them registered as voters.
Bummer can’t always rely on dead voters, so between polar bears and killer whales (use your imagination, folks), Gore might be able to keep Bummer in politics. Think of the possibilities (I’m sure his sheeplers are doing just that).

For the great day of their wrath has come, and who can stand?”

        Revelation 6 : 15-17

Here The Bible tells us that all the evil rulers and enslaved people and free people who HAVE NOT BELIEVED that Jesus Christ is Lord… will hide in CAVES in the mountains among the ROCKS [after the seven year Tribulation] to get away from the wrath (of God and) Jesus who is the Lamb and who sits on the throne. The lost people want the ROCKS to fall on them and hide them…ouch… as they are scared to death at this prophecy time where the Lord will take His wrath or punishment out on them for their disbelief, disobedience, defiance, arrogance, and harm they have done to His children… the Believers, and all His Creation.

Looks like in the end your ‘chicken little’ will be doing just that… looking for a cave to hide in.

    • Christin

      sc,

I find it just amazing that since the Scientists and others scam artists’ e-mails have exposed Global Warming as a rigged HOAX…. that Gore still continues to put his fingers in his ears and say la-la-la nobody exposed the TRUTH and I can still act indignant and continue to spew more LIES and NO ONE will contest him publicly… lame stream media, bought and paid for by TPTB (aka devil worshipers).

      • Jana

        Christin,
But he still has such loyal followers why should he stop. Look at eddie and Roy major. Wow such supposedly smart people being led around by their noses. Some people are so gullible.

      • JeffH

Jana, I’ll give eddie some credit for his passion towards the environment and I’m very sure he does as much as he can for it, but unfortunately he’s been tricked into the “man made” idea and hoax to the point of extremism..that’s, to me, is over the line and a pill that’s hard to swallow. Some are just more easily duped than others in that regard.

      • eddie47d

Was that a backhanded compliment Jeff? Naw it must have been a illusion. How many times have you been duped by Wall Street ,banksters or other shady operators? Some of you are very gullible on financial issues because the same things happen over and over. You have your opinions and I have mine so we can each call the other down if that pleases you.

  • Baf

Remember people….. this is the man that invented the internet….. what a fricken joke of a human being. He has to push this agenda because he has no other skills to earn money with. He did learn early in life from his politician father, that there is a sucker born every minute. If you are a smooth talker, you can convince a lot of people to buy what you’re selling……. wow…. does this sound familiar?

    • JUKEBOX

He also said that his Daddy created the Interstate Highway System, so I guess that means Gore’s daddy was really President Eisenhower.

      • always right

Acttually the early Romans invented the interstate highway system and some of their roads are still around. The Germans refined it into the Autobahn, which Eisenhower saw and admired in WWII as it allowed faster travel for both sides than any other means. That was what inspired him to jumpstart the interstate highway system.

  • Waldomountaionman

Al is just a damn good snake oil salesman oops I mean politician. I would love to see him and OBAMBAM go head to head, that would be a show that would make it prefectly clear to everyone how far out there both are. But it would probably wind up hanging on a chad, it would just be impossible to determine which is the king of bull.

  • Warrior

What’s really amazing is the fact that there is an actual audience he preaches to. Personally, I would attend an event where Al would strap himself to a solar panel at high noon.

  • Johnny Hiott

It is truly amazing after the idiotic rants of this lunitic that anyone would even bother to publish his speakings. He rants about the dangers of cigarette smoking. Personally I don’t think that is any of his business what others do with their lives. For that matter he is a liar as it has never been proven that cigarette smoking causes lung cancer. Granted anything in excess can be potentially harmful. What about alcohol ? Drunk drivers have killed and maimed many more innocent people than cigarettes ever have, yet there are still commericals advertising it !
Dan Quayle was banished from the world for his spelling of “potato”. This lunitic gore is so moronic he probably doesn’t even know what a potato is ! Enough is enough, lock him up for being a sexual preditor in Wash. state. Lock him in an insane assylum. All it takes to have an insane assylum is an empty room and the right kind of people. I cannot understand why any intelligent person would even give this nut the time of day. He has duped America out of millions of dollars with his war against industry, freedom and America. It’s time to ignor him and pray that he will go away !

    • eddie47d

Smoke your brains out Johnny..err lungs. Corporate leaders in the Tobacco world lied and denied for more than 40 years. Like any good capitalist sheeple you believe anything that the Corporate world tells you as long as the big bucks keep flowing in. That is why you allowed Big Pharma to sneak in it’s evil practices. You were to enthralled by the big numbers and the newest cash cow to “invade” our free market system. The Banksters didn’t even have to wear masks while they robbed this country but the darlings on the Right didn’t even blink an eye to expose their fraud. As a matter of fact they obstructed Financial Reform which allows these crooks to continue in their sordid ways. Are you aware that the Koch brothers spent millions in trying to debunk Global Warming and payed scientists and pundits bundles of money to write articles against Climate Change. Global Warming or anything related to the environment would be bad for their businesses so he made sure the truth be damned. Is Al Gore a saint? Hardly, but he doesn’t even come close to the bull crap pulled by the self righteous Right and their in plain sight shenanigans. Will you take them on? I doubt it for their immoral behavior makes the free marketeers wealthy while the nation as a whole suffers.

      • Roy Major

When the conservatives start conserving and realizing that they have about six other reasons to transition to clean and safe energy, our country will make some progress with a new clean economy.

      • Song

Both of you, Edie and Roy, are so bull of BS that it is no wonder you blindly follow the likes of Al Gore. The old mantra that conservatives don’t value clean air and clean water et al., is old, tired, worn out and completely untrue. Neither of you even address the hypocrisy known as Al Gore. Conservatives, unlike yourselves, don’t need government to tell them what is best for them, we happen to be well-educated and in many cases outdoorsmen that have been practicing conversation long before it ever became the “green” thing to do.

      • Jana

        Song,
You said it so very correctly.
We didn’t need someone to tell us to conserve. We have been practicing this pretty much all of our lives. Even to the point in the kitchen we have been washing aluminum foil and reusing it, washing out plastic freezer bags and reusing them etc.
Right now in this triple digit heat we are experiencing here in Texas we have our ac set on 82 and use a fan in the room where we are.

Even when they told us to water in the early morning as watering during the night would cause mold on the grass, I still watered at night as I saw no mold, and felt this was wiser. Now it is mandatory.

Liberals always seem to hold themselves in such high esteem, and feel they are so much smarter and wiser than anyone else. Watch how they vote, it shows they are definitely not smarter.

      • Jana

        Sure Roy M,
And they even have little children on the radio telling adults how to conserve. Laughable. Talk about the blind leading the stupid.

You would follow someone who doesn’t practice what he preaches. What about using your brain and good common sense. In other words, think.

      • Kate8

Jana – Asking a liberal to think is practically blasphemy to them.

When their “leaders” speak, they parrot. That’s all they need to know. Makes them feel safe, I guess.

They are taught not to question Leftist dogma. Thinking only gets them ostracized, and they so need to feel that they belong.

      • eddie47d

Jana; Is your water board Liberal or are you just using that as an excuse to bash Liberals for your water problems. I will give you credit for washing that aluminum foil and reusing it. When I recycle I try and use as little water as possible to clean food cans.

      • eddie47d

Oh Kate; Why are you so wrong on some issues. You are not the only one with “all the answers”. Just ask Jeff H who thinks he does or …myself. LOL

      • eddie47d

Good for you Song I’m sure you are a great defender of the outdoors as far as your personal enjoyment goes. The Clean Air Act and Clean Water Act have been repeating “watered” down by Conservatives or at least by those who vote for those Conservatives. It’s great to love nature and fresh air but if you allow certain people in Congress to do otherwise would be counterproductive to your very beliefs.

      • s c

R, to paraphrase one of your like-minded bunkies who repeats himself often on this website, ‘take your meds.’ So, is your favorite drug Thorazine or Prozac? Now, pull up your mental pants, exit the website and get yourself some friends who have at least ONE foot in the real world.

      • JeffH

eddie says: “Are you aware that the Koch brothers spent millions in trying to debunk Global Warming and payed scientists and pundits bundles of money to write articles against Climate Change.”

eddie, you’re so sly…”debunk Global Warmig”? Try to be a little more honest here, it’s called “debunking MAN MADE Global Warming”…you green tooths can be so deceptive.

Of course, thousands in the scientific community have debunked the ideas of man made global warming without any Koch money, but alas, Al, eddie, Barack and Van Jones are all of the same mold who support and are supported by a common thread…unions and in particular, the AFL-CIO/SEIU who are investing heavily into the rescue of America with a radical progressive plan green plan and their perverse version of the “American Dream.” They’re calling for “21st century energy jobs” and multibillion dollar “investments” in America’s infrastructure…wasn’t there a near trillion dollar stimulus package that was supposed to address these ideas?

And remember this, while Van Jones and his union pals talk a lofty game about protecting American workers and creating American green jobs, they march in lockstep with the open-borders lobby and promoters of another blanket illegal alien amnesty.

As for the green jobs racket, gobs of Obama money has already been spent on them — and unemployment has continued to hover near double digits. Obam’a and Van Jones’ pipe dream jobs would be better dubbed “brown jobs” to reflect the color of the sewer down which untold millions have been flushed in the name of environmental stimulus salvation. There’s also a distinctly blue tint to these supposedly eco-friendly green jobs. Blue, that is, for partisan Democratic agendas and allies. Federal green jobs funds have subsidized, among others, the SEIU’s nationalized health care activists in Maryland, the UAW Labor Employment and Training Corporation, the Blue Green Alliance (a union conglomerate), the 1199 SEIU Family of Funds and a United Steelworkers front group, the Institute for Career Development.

This is the same old call for continued wealth redistribution from taxpayers to Democratic special interests from a failed prophet of green jobs boondogglery. Sound familiar? Van Jones may have left Washington, but his spirit, alas, is alive and well in his mentor’s nightmare policies.

Since it was exposed that global warming ‘proof’ was really just predicted outcome from computer models, Al Gore should have had enough sense to distance himself. When it was revealed that researchers had the thermometers removed from any place that didn’t show warming, global warming believers should’ve realized they were being deceived. Further, when it was revealed that all peer articles, that showed that warming was a natural occurence and not man-made, were squashed believers should have been skeptical. Perhaps believers need a reminder of the true facts. If man were actually responsible, each man should be compelled to lower his carbon footprint and live responsibly. Gore has at least one 28,000 sf house. So, the biggest fool pushing the fake global warming issue is an enormous energy waster. What does that tell us about Gore’s sincerity or believabliity?

    • http://www.easyinvest.co.za peter

To Ellen – remember that he aspired to be President of the USA. That should tell us everything about his sincerity or believability. Do not believe anything that any Presidential candidate tells you at all. It is all about their own ego and self enrichment and has absolutely nothing to do with your well being or that of your Beloved Country. There is not one politician on Planet Earth that knows the meaning of sincerity, integrity or truth – nay, not one at all!

We are all suckers and are doomed to enslavement by the elites until we wake up and say “No More!” That is exactly what is happening with the disgruntled youth today – stick around, you ain’t seen nothing yet and the next President who tries to bulldoze his/her way to glory will get the very shortest end of the stick and if Obama serves another term, which unfortunately seems to be on the cards, then his demise can be forecast with considerable confidence.Uneasy lies the head that wears a crown has never been more appropriate and I just wonder if he realizes just how dangerously he is living right now.
You cannot just blame evrybody else for your own shortcomings all the time, but if you look in the mirror and cannot see the problem then you are definitely on life support or just convinced that you are invincible or able to bull…. your way out of any situation. He may go down as the greatest confidence trickster of all time. That is how I see him and am entirely unable to fall for his rhetoric, bragging and blaming. May the Good Lord have mercy on the USA.

    • Ken Deaver

I seems that Mr. Gore does not “bring out the best” in us. He evokes
our cynicism. That aside, I would like to have known what else he said. Did he read off any of the names on his “enemies list?” I wonder if that would have been as fictional as the many dire predictions he has made? Seriously, I’d like to hear him out on that, and have the opportunity for some of us to do some careful fact
checking. With regard to the 40 year delay on the “Surgeon General’s report” appearing on cigarette packs, I would say this: For most of my life I have heard the coment from people about friends and relatives who died of lung cancer and emphysema, that “he (or she) was a HEAVER SMOKER. We ALL knew cigarettes were bad for us. The tobacco companies didn’t force us at the point of a gun to smoke. But again, Common Sense did not win out, even though smoking was a known “clear and PRESENT danger.” Right now, the Global Warming Panic is a major tool in the hands of those who want Nanny State Socialism that will regulate virtually everything in our lives. Now that possibility IS a CLEAR AND PRESENT DANGER!

  • http://ahalbert@smart-technology.net Allan

I take it Al’s investments in climate related businesses are being hurt by increasing skepticism toward what he claims.

  • Shootist

If there’s anybody who ought to know about bulls__t, it’s Al Gore. His home consumes more power in a month than mine does in a year. And, of course, that couldn’t add to global warming, at least not the way he sees it. Hypocrisy, thy name is Al!

    • skippy

But shootist…do you ‘buy’ your carbon off sets from HIS farm, like HE does??!! Yea, right, like THAT helps~~~~ :)

    • joe conservative

Big Al’s house is less “green” than George Dubaya’s home in Texas, for cryin’ out loud, dontchaknow. He owns a staple of extended cab SUV’s (which he rails against every chance he gets about “others” driving the same SUV’s that he does), the boy even flies in private or leased executive jets (hey, didn’t oBAMA take square aim at the “evil” executives flying around in their corporate jets – ye-e-ea, well, Al is one of those “evil” people.. I mean, as per the “false profit” oBAMA), his “scientists” get caught telling other scientists to doctor up the climate findings to hide the truth via email and all this plastic “do as I say not as I do” jerk has to say is that “…well I have ‘green’ credits”, what!? Yea, he could be having a melt down – that’s a lot of garbage poor Al has to deal with every time he looks in the mirror.

  • skippy

Hahahhaaa…I heard that rant on the news last night!!! LMAO!! This guy is really having some kind of ‘meltdown’…too bad, hate to see anyone go through that. I also heard a rumor that the democraps might just run him against Obamageddon!!! THAT would be interesting to see those two go at it!

Mr. Gore and his legions of hollywood nitwits can spout off about climate change until they are blue in the face; the fact is…we aren’t as easily led as the overpaid starlets and ego driven frat boys of the big screen or the useless parasitic prigs at the UN. The earth may be in a warming cycle, but it is not caused by man and core samples indicate it is normal for the earth to do so. Mr. Gore is quite pleased with himself, as he is a part of the brain-fart that was finally able to come up with a way to tax the very air we breathe!

    • Roy Major

That’s the point. It’s all about the “air we breath>” The fossil fuel cos. think they have a right to pollute the air we breathe bought and paid for congress, lobyists, and debunking book while 430,000 born and unborn die each year from mercury and other particulates that they spew into the air.

      • Dale on the left coast

Especially from the mandated new florescent lamps, that if broken mean a multi-thousand dollar cleanup from the Hazmat people.

The deaths and illnesses in less developed countries from broken and disposed of circular florescents is mounting fast, but supressed by the major news services!

      • always right

430,000 born and unborn? And how many “unborn” die from abortion, one of el gordo gore’s favorite things to promote? Here are your number: WORLDWIDE

Number of abortions per year: Approximately 42 Million
Number of abortions per day: Approximately 115,000

        Where abortions occur:
83% of all abortions are obtained in developing countries and 17% occur in developed countries.

© Copyright 1996-2008, The Alan Guttmacher Institute. (www.agi-usa.org)

        UNITED STATES

Number of abortions per year: 1.37 Million (1996)
Number of abortions per day: Approximately 3,700

        Who’s having abortions (age)?
52% of women obtaining abortions in the U.S. are younger than 25: Women aged 20-24 obtain 32% of all abortions; Teenagers obtain 20% and girls under 15 account for 1.2%.

…so if you’re going to tout something dangerous to the born & unborn, start there. And there’s a reason for burning (misnamed) “fossil” fuels. Have a nice day, Mr. Delusional.

    • Stickwoman Red

Gore and his merry-men of Global Warming myth-makers are simply liars! The European Cold Wave 2009-2010 was the coldest and deadliest winter with 90 deaths attributed to either the cold weather or snow. Also the UK saw the coldest winter in 30 years as well as my home state of Michigan, which 2011 placed in history as the 11th snowiest and 6th coldest winter since they began recording temps/snowfall in 1880. In March 2011, 49 states received snow simultaneously on the same day with only Hawaii not getting any even on their volcano peaks. An independent Finnish scientist whose only job in the world is to measure ice in and around the Arctic Circle and report on it. He found in the year 2009 that the Arctic’s ice indeed had changed. . . did not lose an inch, or 1/2 inch or even a 1/4 inch, but in fact had gained 2″! So goes the myth about global warming, er, oops, I mean, “climate change”. All the Demon-craps are nothing but liars from the Oval Office down to washed-up hacks like Gore!

      • Ron

Did you notice this last winter where it was cold, no Gore Where it was hot, Gore! coincidence? I wonder.

      • Wyrdwolf

Yeah we had a snowstorm in New Orleans 2009.

Again as I have said before at first Al even Fooled me, well that is until I started really looking at what he presented as FACT.
Then only to find it was all just a well written FICTION novel.
By the way a Damm good one at that, give credit where credit is due. Afterall he has made in sales from his verbose rhetoric around $800 Million dollars, NOW thats damm good as far as sales of a product thats totaly flawed goes!

      • TIME

        Hey 45,

But as you noted old Al’s getting ready, I hear he is looking into a nice little farm with a small 38,000 sqft main house and a 8500 sqft guest house, this place is also complete with servant quarters a well appointed 300 sqft room for 30 Illegals to live in.

But I don’t want anyone to miss one of his great speaches about Global warming, so get your tickets now for just $200.00 per ticket! And the best part is he will fly in on his jet to save our planet! Thank Al for being Al.

Global Warming, Climate Change, what ever you call it, it has got to be the greatest Ponzi scheme/scam ever perpetrated not only on the American public, but the whole world. Albert Gore Jr is one of the biggest frauds ever tured loose by the Liberal Lying Media.

      • Kate8

USAF – True, but he’s really just another mouthpiece for the NWO elite. Kind of like Odumbo. They think people love them, so they prop them up in front of a prompter and watch the simpletons swoon.

Al learned well from his daddy about how to launder money from his supporters. That way, it was all legal income.

      • USAF VET

I knew this Dofus was trouble when I first met him, but I didn’t know he would rise to such level of stupidity. When I encountered him in Nashville, many years ago it was on the night of his fathers defeat. That was the night Bill Brock beat Albert Gore for the Senate seat in Tn. Albert Gore Jr showed up in the wrong place and he was 3 sheets in the wind and reeked of pot smoke. I never realized that this primadonna would one day cost me money due to his ignorance. He has never had an original thought in his life, he got into politics because he wasn’t qualified to do anything else. He failed law school, theology school, journalism school. What was left but to follow his daddy’s coattails and go into politics since the only thing he could do was talk. Why do you think Slick Willy chose him as his running mate, because he was so intelligent? No, all Slick Willy wanted was an ignorant “Yes” man who wouldn’t challenge him on anything he did, and that’s what he got. Albert Gore Jr (he’s not Al Gore, that was his daddy)cries when he doesn’t get his way. A good example is his tirade in Vail Colorado. I can just hear his irritating voice echoing down the Rockies as he screams B U L L S * * *!!!!!

      • JUKEBOX

When I used to call on customers in Carthage, I could not find too many people who had any kind of deep admiration for the Gore family. I was also told by a former Democrat Governor of TN that you could not trust Jr. or believe anything he said, and that was over 25 years ago.

      • Lil

        I LOVE your comment.
You spoke the truth about this looser who ironically became the vp of this country. I remember his debates with Ross Perot, I felt punching his stupid face, what an arrogant ignorant.
Everything what Ross Perot warned us then, became reality these days.
No wonder this country went down with presidents and vp’s we had in the last 20 years or so.

Hey folks, remember Bill Cosby’s friend Fat Albert. Well, he’s back but he’s not as funny, even kinda scarey knowing someone like that is loose in our country.

Science is not proven by profanity, in fact, profanity is resorted to when reason fails.

Science repeatedly proves Mr. Gore wrong, but he still manages to afflict us economically through politics, and will not quit.

Of course, by deluding people, he makes his fortunes so he can have all his energy profligate mansions. Bet he chuckles half the night at the foolish Liberals who believe him and even fudge the data to make him look right. It is surprising, after all the scandals and all the proven data now that he is wrong, he still manages to pull the wool over so many powerful eyes, tho some money in the wool probably helps.
