Search Still On For ‘crime Spree’ Siblings

TAMPA, Fla., Aug. 9 (UPI) — The FBI says a massive search is ongoing for three Florida siblings on the run after allegedly shooting at a police officer and later robbing a bank.
The search for 29-year-old Lee Grace Dougherty and her two brothers, Dylan, 26, and Ryan, 21, began after a police officer in Zephyrhills, Fla., tried to stop a car for speeding and was led on a high-speed chase during which the occupants of the car fired on him before evading the chase, CBS News reported Tuesday.
Police say following the chase the group robbed a bank in Valdosta, Ga.
They fired shots into the air before leaving with an unknown amount of money, witnesses said.
Police say they believe the siblings may have been planning their crime spree for some time after a search of a home where the suspects reportedly lived discovered a sophisticated underground bunker system.
The trio should be considered armed and dangerous, authorities said.
“We don’t want people to think that these are just three kids,” Pasco County Sheriff Chris Nocco said from Tampa. “These are three felony (offenders). They’ve actually committed numerous felonies throughout their lives. They’re street-smart. They know what they’re doing, and we need the public’s assistance to help capture them.”
