Triple Slaying-suicide Probed In Maryland

BROOKLYN PARK, Md., Aug. 7 (UPI) — A Maryland man shot a woman and two teenagers to death Sunday before killing himself, authorities said.
Anne Arundel County Police Lt. J.D. Batten said officers were sent to a townhouse in Brooklyn Park about 9 a.m. after the mother of a man who lived there said she had gone to the home with another relative after receiving a disturbing text message from her son, The Baltimore Sun reported.
As officers were talking with her outside, “they heard a single gunshot from inside the home,” Batten said. “Right now all indications are that this was a murder suicide — that the male shot and killed the other three persons and then shot himself as the officers were talking to his mother.”
The names and relationships of the victims, who all apparently lived in the home together, had not been released.
