Eight Dead In Ohio Shooting Rampage
COPLEY TOWNSHIP, Ohio, Aug. 7 (UPI) — A man went on a shooting rampage in Copley Township, Ohio, Sunday, leaving eight people dead, including the gunman, police said.
Copley Police Chief Michael Mier told newsnet5.com the first 911 call was placed about 11 a.m. Sunday about a shooting near Schocalog Road and Goodenough Avenue, 40 miles south of Cleveland.
Police killed the suspect after he shot at law enforcement officials. One woman shot by the gunman survived and was in intensive care at Akron General Hospital.
Police said the shootings took place at at least four different locations. They have not released information on the suspect or his motive.
