      Last, I’d like to know how bad taxpayers were screwed so we could have the dubious pleasure of ‘redistributing wealth’ in his direction. He could have had as good a time by taking everyone out to the nearest McDonald’s.

        Obama must be ecstatic about the downgrade, otherwise, how could he be so happy and smiling at his Fundraising Birthday Party. That was the epitome of CLASS WARFARE at $38,500 per seat. I would hesitate to have dinner with him, if he paid me $38,500, even though it would offset my SS cuts over the last 2 years.

    Let me see if I can get this right. We now have a “Super” congress. If my facts are right, this “congress” will consist of an even number of democrats and republicans. Then I heard if these guys can’t agree on a “compromise”, none other than Obummer will be the tie breaker. Now what could possibly go wrong if this is true??
    They always say, “you can drive a horse to drink, but you can’t make him smoke”. Wait, is that how it goes? Anyway, the democrats seem to be capable of leading these so called senior republican members of congress around by their noses. Then to make matters worse, the guys we elected who were supposed to make sure this kind of stuff didn’t happen, jumped on the bandwagon and helped give Obummer a deal to further rob the future citizens of the country of their freedom and cash.
    I believe it is time to remove the rest of the deadwood from congress in 2012. Then the “freshmen” that survive this catastrophe, will be senior members of congress. Maybe in the next three or four election cycles we can elect a congress that works for the people.

      The problem is, Rick, she is illiterate in terms of reading comprehension. Asking her to understand the US Constitution and the Declaration is like telling your dog to set the plane on autopilot so the two of you could play rummy in flight.

        My late wife had reading comprehension problems, but she had the God given sense to ask questions, and if she still didn’t understand she just told me to read it to her so she could understand. That’s the difference between an intelligent person and one who just doesn’t care. She also understood the Constitution because she always asked questions. Even though I hated school, because of her, I’m glad my parents, who cared about us, insisted we get a good education.
