OREBO, Sweden, Aug. 3 (UPI) — Police in Sweden say they are searching for a woman who allegedly attacked a group of teenagers with a bow and arrow.
The teens told police a woman wearing “strange, old clothes” approached them Monday near a school in the central Swedish city of Orebo, The Local reported.
The woman put a metal-tipped arrow into the bow and fired at them from close range, the teenagers said.
The youths, none of whom were injured, fled the area.
Police said they were searching for the woman, described as being between 20 and 40 years old, after receiving a number of tips Tuesday.
“I’ve never experienced a case like this and haven’t heard of anything like it either,” police investigator Malin Nilsson said.
Investigators say the woman may have been involved in some kind of fantasy or role-playing game.
