Formal U.N. Complaint Filed Against Israel

BEIRUT, Lebanon, Aug. 3 (UPI) — Lebanon filed a formal complaint with the United Nations Wednesday accusing an Israeli patrol of illegal entry into Lebanese territory July 1, officials said.

The complaint, submitted by Lebanon’s Foreign Ministry, said the Israeli patrol engaged in a brief confrontation with the Lebanese Army after crossing the Wazzani River into Lebanon, The Daily Star of Beirut reported.

The fighting did not lead to any casualties.

Lebanon’s Foreign Ministry said the incident represented a violation and abuse of Lebanon’s sovereignty.

It was also a violation of U.N. Security Resolution 1701, international law and the U.N. charter, the complaint said.

    The mentality at the UN sure is consistent. They consistently sound like scribes found in the old [Bible] days. I’m sure the Israelis have ways to deal with never-ending UN suggestions.
    I’d say a special, heavy duty shredder would be the first part of the process. Close to the shredder would be a special toilet that will suck down anything.
    I guess they could burn the UN’s suggestions, but then they might get into trouble with the UN’s tree-hugging, Mama Earth psychotics. Myself, I’d use the letters for toilet paper. Then, I’d send it back to the source, and let them take care of the rest of the “process.”
    It may be the one thing they know how to do and get it right the first time. They’ve been doing that for MANY years. Who says the UN serves absolutely no purpose?
