Possible natural treatments for infertility in development

August 2, 2011 by

Antioxidants can be found in many fruits such as pomegranates and blueberries. They are also abundant in chocolate, tea and some vegetables.Antioxidants have been shown to have many possible health benefits, such has helping to rid the body of toxins that come from everyday pollutants. New research suggests that antioxidants may play a role in helping men and women with infertility issues.

Although findings are still inconclusive, data indicates that antioxidants may improve fertility and clinical trials are being conducted to determine how effective these natural compounds will be. If successful, researchers hope these treatments could be applied to high blood pressure and congestive heart failure problems as well.

“If oxidative stress is an underlying factor causing infertility, which we think the evidence points to, we should be able to do something about it,” said researcher Tony Hagen. “This might help prevent other critical health problems as well, at an early stage when nutritional therapies often work best.”

Chocolate contains L-Arginine as do nuts and caffeine.. L-arginine is an amino acid that the body uses to make nitric oxide, a substance signals smooth muscle surrounding blood vessels to relax, which dilates the blood vessels and increases blood flow. A natural alternative to Viagra.

I’m glad you brought up these points. It’s so true! My heart goes out to all of you that are in this situation. For all of you who are TTC, here’s a story for you. My wife and I tried to have children for over 3 years. We were contemplating IVF and adoption, but just trying to save up the money for either was an obstacle. Finally, a family member told us about a product called BeeFertile. It’s a natural fertility product – no prescription required. It’s a 2 part kit and has Royal Jelly in it, which is supposed to be really good for increasing fertility. We were skeptical, but decided to try it. It was so much cheaper than having to take fertility testing, etc. So they tell you that it takes 3-6 months for it to work. I’m happy to report that only after 3 months of taking the kit, my wife was PPT!!! Check it out: http://www.beefertile.com

yeah,… they say that caffeine (tea, coffee) can make sperm swim faster .

… though the trade off is DNA damage in sperm and during pregnancy of drinking moms.

hmmm, chocolates have theobromine … similar to caffeine, any reseach done on theobromine?

what antioxidants dont address is the chemicals leaking from all plastics into your body … hormone disruptors which lessen fertility and testosterone levels
