Some Tea Party figures upset at Boehner’s leadership

Several prominent figures in the Tea Party movement have been highly critical of House Speaker John Boehner’s (R-Ohio) handling of the debt ceiling.
“Boehner must go,” Judson Phillips, the founder of Tea Party Nation, wrote in a blog post. “We need a Speaker who is a leader. We need someone with courage and vision. Boehner has none of those qualities. He is not a leader… John Boehner simply wishes to be the manager in chief of the welfare state.”
Fox News reports that Phillips isn’t the only one in the Tea Party disappointed in lawmakers in Congress. The Tea Party Patriots conducted an informal poll and found that 81.5 percent of respondents were “not satisfied with the leadership of the House.”
Many people in the movement were reportedly disappointed with Boehner’s deficit plan as analysis revealed that it would not save as much money as was initially claimed and it includes the raising of the debt ceiling.
Boehner and other GOP figures are currently attempting to get enough support to get the Speaker’s bill to pass through the house, according to Fox News.
