Teen Guilty Of Killing Girlfriend

SWANSEA, Wales, July 28 (UPI) — A Welsh 16-year-old has been convicted of killing his former girlfriend on a dare from a friend.
A judge ruled after Wednesday’s verdict in Swansea Crown Court that Joshua Davies could be identified by name, The Daily Telegraph reported.
“This is a crime that has affected a small enclosed community,” Justice Lloyd Jones said, referring to the village of Aberkenfig, where both Davies and Rebecca Aylward lived. “It is right that the public should know that there has been a conviction and who is convicted.”
During the trial, friends said Davies met often for breakfast said he often talked of killing Rebecca, 15, When he asked one what he would give him if he actually killed her, the friend replied, “I would buy you breakfast.”
Prosecutors said Davies made an appointment to meet Rebecca and then killed her with a rock. Her mother, Sonia Aylward, said Rebecca thought Davies wanted her to be his girlfriend again.
“She got up at six o’clock that morning to get ready and to do her make-up,” Sonia Aylward said. “She put on her new clothes, bought the day before, she was wearing them for the first time.”
The judge postponed sentencing pending a psychiatric evaluation.
