Thinking: Grover Norquist did give the GOP a little slack finally by saying letting the Bush tax cuts expire on their own is not a vote for a tax hike.Therefore they will not be going against the pledge.He realizes how devastated the American economy is suffering due to these taxes and the inability of Washington being able to function with all this lost revenue.

Just like business as usual, the subject is raising the debt ceiling and the guff offs are trying to work on the budget. It is money already spent and they are playing see what can happen. There is lots of waste and a huge lack of revenue. On one side of the room we have those who bypass their oath of office in favor of Grover’s pledge and on the other side where if cutting social security will get the whole bunch voted out of office.

Every time one of the parties presents a budget you can be assured the cuts will pertain to the other party’s agenda. For example, when the Republicans present a budget, their cuts will be aimed at Democratic agendas-same when the Democrats present a budget, they will aim at GOP sponsored agendas. All these parties are doing is attempting to destroy the other party. Remember, they are thinking of the next election. It would be a “shame” if anything good came out of their posturing. Not that it will make any difference, but I’d like to know if that $227 million “cut” was done to the GOP’s ‘budget.’ Or did the Prez’s mysteriously MISSING budget somehow appear and get trimmed by a mere $227 million?
