Is Rick Perry 'What America Needs'?

Is Rick Perry 'What America Needs'?

Texas Governor Rick Perry has long played with the idea of running for the Presidency in 2012. However, a recent interview reveals that the Governor is increasingly likely to officially enter the race.

“I’m not ready to tell you that I’m ready to announce that I’m in,” Perry told The Des Moines Register in a phone interview. “But I’m getting more and more comfortable every day that this is what I’ve been called to do. This is what America needs.”

Perry, a favorite among some Tea Party activists, has been lauded a potential game-changer in the Republican field of candidates, with the name recognition to potentially draw support away from both Representative Michele Bachmann (R-Minn.) and former Massachusetts Governor Mitt Romney.

Perry may also garner support from his fellow Republican Governors, many of whom have not yet officially endorsed a candidate.

“The prospect of a bid by Texas Gov. Rick Perry, which looks more realistic every day, has also piqued the interest of some GOP executives who admire his jobs record and potential to bridge the divide between establishment Republicans and grassroots elements of the party,” a blog for CNN.com reported. “(Virginia Governor Bob) McDonnell reserved special praise for Perry, calling him ‘the kind of guy that can win’ the nomination because of his broad appeal to tea party activists, social conservatives and business-types.”

Still, Perry stopped far short of making any formal declarations in the Des Moines Register interview, saying, “I’ll be real honest with you, I don’t wake up in the morning — never did and still don’t today — and say, ‘Gee, I want to be president of the United States.’”

Perry is governor of the state where I live. He is an accomplished politician and he does things that will advance his political career just as most politicians. You never really know what they will do until they have the office. I must admit that Texas has a strong economy and in my area there are a number of help wanted signs up so he must be doing something right… Not sure if I want him for president though, he’s been a politician too long and I believe he has ties to the Bilderburg Group.

  • hicusdicus

The people who could truly turn things around will never be allowed to be candidates for any government office. Give it up folks our country is drowning. The struggle will continue for a while longer and we will run out of gasps and it will be over.

  • Lost in Paradise

I would really like to see Bachmann get it,but It will be some sleeze like Perry or the one we have now. We surely do not need another rabbit, so that leaves Cain out. Paul would be a good choice. Problem is Americans like the sleeze and slick types. If a decent honest person comes along they spit on him.

I also believe the only way a republican will get elected, is to lie about everything, and tell them what they want to hear. I think us conservatives are greatly outnumbered, and need to adopt some of the lefts tactics.

Who ever runs, needs to be very careful what they say. Most are trying to appeal to conservatives, and I think that will be their downfall. If they talk about birth rights, or gays, they may never get elected. There are some subjects best left alone, until you get elected. Some of them are already flapping their gums too much about things that should not be brought up.

    • meteorlady

If they are high profile like Romney and Perry, plus have a gift for speaking, they get media attention. If they tell the truth and tell it like it really is, they get called radicals, far right, etc. and they have no chance for gaining the platform needed to get elected.

Ron Paul is a perfect example of such bias. He’s not a particularly eloquent speaker, but he tells the truth. He’s perhaps too intelligent for the average entitlement hog or liberal to understand, and he is for this country and not for the political machine.

Maybe we should all campaign for him and write him if he’s not “chosen” to run on the ticket. that would certainly make the media and politicians sit up and take notice.

      • http://?? Joe H.

        Meteorlady,
A better example would be Duncan Hunter Sr!! How much did you hear of him during his run for the repub nomination in 2008?? not much, right? Even less than Mr Paul!!

  • Watching and Listening

I am learning about texas governor Rick Perry, Hasn’t he done some good things conserning their money, and he is a tea party favorite, so that tells me some positive things about him, however, I see what the comments are here, and I’ve never lived in Texas, so I don’t know
anything positively. I try to keep an open mind.,

    • Lost in Paradise

He could get elected, because he is connected in the correct places, and is another slick con-artist like all the rest, like the current slime ball, and slick Willy.

      • meteorlady

Not sure if he’s a really slick con-artist or not. But Texas IS thriving in the mist of this economic down turn so something is going right. We need to face the fact that EVERY SINGLE PERSON that is running for office is hand picked by either of the two parties. It’s worse on the Democratic side of the fence because if we elect someone out of the primaries and caucuses, they can over-ride that with their “Super Delegates” which are nothing more than hacks for the liberals.

    • Average Joe

“and he is a tea party favorite, so that tells me”

That the tea Party isn’t doing their homework!

  • Bootsaddle

This is good information. If true, I will have to mark him off the list of potentials for the office. I am an Independent and I am having trouble finding someone clean enough and strong enough to get the US out of this hole we’re in. Truthfully we have not dug the hole – we have been duped repeatedly by large groups of people intent on either stealing us blind or enslaving us to Global Dominance or both. I will get back to my research again. In my research I found that Timothy Geithner was listed in the Trilateral Commission (founded by the Rockfellers) as a “Former Member in Public Service” as was Lael Brainard – U.S. Department of Treasury. Dianne Feinstein, Charles Rangel, Condoleezza Rice and John D.Rockfeller IV are all current members. Does anyone know anything about a gentleman by the name of Luis Rubio – President for the Center of Research for Development (CIDAC), Mexico City, DF? Bill Clinton is a member of Bilderberg. Thomas E. Donilon is a member of both Bilderberg and Trilateral. Donilon was listed in Trilateral and “Former Merber in Public Service” – U.S. Deputy national Security Advisor. I pulled both lists in 2011. Amazing what you can find out there. The George Soros group is very large – there weren’t a lot of names in his groups, just the names of the Organizations he funds. The list was very long. I spend a few hours every week just tracking groups & names. It is very interesting how I keep running into the same names in multiple sites.

    • Lost in Paradise

DId you find Bachmann and Paul in there anywhere.I wonder about them, even though they seem to be the best choice at the moment. It is a difficult choice at best for a career politician. It would be better to have more of a volunteer base for our government and maybe only one term.I think for a congress person or a senator to be in for life is really really wrong and not good for us.

    • meteorlady

Who you won’t find is Ron Paul…..

  • http://toast.net Lous

WELL IF THOSE WHO RUN TO ELECT RICK PERRY FOR PRESIDENT,THEY MIGHT GET THOSE GROUPS ALONG WITH PERRY. BILDENBURG GROUP,, C F R TRILATERAL COMMISSION. NAFTA HIGHWAY, NORTH AMERICAN UNION. JUST RICK PERRY SAYS THE NAME OF JESUS, DOES HIS RUN FOR PRESIDENCY ALL RIGHT. AMERICA !!!YOU GOT TO DO YOUR HOME WORK, AND THINK WHICH ONE YOU WANT TO HAVE AS PRESIDENT. JUST BECAUSE THERE’S DEMOCRAT OBAMA, THERE CAN BE A REPUBLICAN OBAMA AS WELL. LOOK GOOD, SMELL GOOD, AND WALK GOOD, DOES NOT MAKE THEIR RUN FOR PRESIDENT ALRIGHT. DO YOUR HOME WORK ON EACH CANDIDATE FOR PRESIDENT.

    • Bootsaddle

Lous – You must have a new source (where did you get your info)? I did not find Rick Perry’s name in either of the listings I pulled. Bilderberg’s list was from 1982 onward and the Trilateral listing was as of February 2011.

      • PamR

Google Bilderberg 2011. Scroll down to The Rockfeller World Order and the High Priests of Globalization by Andrew Gavin Marshall. Most any site will list those that have joined meetings.

  • JOHN DOE

No to Perry. We don’t need another prima donna for a President. We want some one like George Washington. Go inot office and then out and go back to the farm and let others run the country for awhile.

  • JOHN DOE

Perry is too much like B.O., Smells just as bad! Tried to force landowners out of their property and give it to a foreign country. Toll roads with no ending to the money they capture. (his deal smells badddd) We don’t want or need that attitude in Texas or in Washington D.C.
Not trustworthy!! Vote for a tea-party rep or a GOOOH rep. We want conservative no non-sense true Texans for Texans… We don’t want a con artists to represent us….

HEY YOU ALL ARE THINKING . . WHICH IS GOOD . . KEEP IT UP . . WE’VE GOT TO CLEAN UP WASHINGTON D.D. WHICH IS THE MOST IMPORTANT THING FOR AMERICA . . WE’VE GOT TO GET BACK TO OUR CONSTITUTION AND WHEN SOMEONE TRIES TO CHANGE OR ALTER IT, THEY MUST GO . .

    • Born in America

      OOPS ~ THAT’S WASHINGTON D.C. ~ SORRY TYPO

      • Lost in Paradise

No problem, I like the D.D. better, but I cannot say it here.

  • gypsy

I say anyone BUT Obama mama. Im a Texan he has a 50 50 record but has left some un finish business here so that I consider failing right now. I think Bachmann is our next President if people can handle a women run our country. I think she can handle it besides they run most homes and so on and I know that is not easy.

  • Michael

Folks, Perry is an opportunist of the first magnitude. Recall he ran Bill Clinton’s campaign in Texas and to me, that is not the mark of a conservative. Oh yes, he says he has seen the light and perhaps he has, but I would not trust him any further than I would Pelosi, Reid or McConnell.

  • http://www.spiritjewelry.info Suzanne

Rick Perry is NOT a Tea Party person! He is a Bilderberger. He was a Democrat until Carl Rove reinvented him as a Republican. He is another RINO corporatist that’s been looting and plundering Texas for his entire tenure in office… trying his best to give away huge chunks of Texas state money to foreign owned corporations. Remember that his campaign donors got the contract for every female in Texas to get the $2000 Gardasil HPV vaccination series, he awarded the contract for the NAFTA Trans-Texas Corridor to a foreign company (until the public outcry), and a bunchload of other things.
This is one guy we DON’T want in the White House. He’s every bit as bad as Obama and the Bush Crime Family.
If anything, he’s one of the people who need to be rounded up and hung, along with every other corrupt politician and bankster.

    • gypsy

He has left un finish business like SB9 he should had recall another special session to take care of Texas business but he is to busy run for President when he should have taken care of Texas. Just Sharing BUT he would do better then Obama Mama

  • Bruce Porter Sr

Nope, check the record and his recent moves to avoid signing a bill to protect his citizens against the TSA gropings.
He’s just another Bush, better looking with a better grasp of English. The GOP establishment is obviously getting scared that Romney won’t win. Best dream for them is Romney and Perry on the same ticket.

    • Lost in Paradise

YOu think its bad now it might be worse in other important areas and same ones as now. Bad choice.

  • http://iflyupsidedown.com JerryJoeBob

I’d vote for an oil can before Obama.

    • Michael

If you vote for Perry you will be voting for a snake oil salesman.

      • http://?? Joe H.

        Michael,
At least he is an AMERICAN born snake oil salesman and NOT a MUSLIM!!!

      • Average Joe

Sorry, I will no longer vote for “the lesser of two evils”…..I will vote my concious….and if my candidate of choice is not in the election, I will vote….as Richard Pryor said in “Brewsters Millions”, NONE OF THE ABOVE
….The lesser of two evils….is still evil.

    • gypsy

      me too

  • http://iflyupsidedown.com Jerry Kemp

Run Perry, run! I’ll send money and work and campaign for you.

Also choose Rubio, West or Bachmann as your VP.

    • juswonderin

Hey, I think West & Rubio would be the dreamteam that we need. The biggist problem with that is that neither one of them is running. I also like Christie but again, not running. Why do we not support the ones that would be best for our country? We should take advantage of them & their values before we totally lose our country! I’m sad that the best is not running. Ofcourse I really like Ron Paul.

  • Bill

Another Globalist, Just another of the same that is already in there!

  • gml

I would vote for a carrot if he could take Obama out!

Perry, West, Bachmann, I wish Rubio!

    • gypsy

I wish we could have a ticket Bachmann and West man that would sum it all up no one could use race card

      • juswonderin

Gypsy, I’m thinking along those lines also! I really like Allen West & Bachman, but West says NO! In my opinion, what he has said so far, is exactly what we need & Bachman stands pretty stong & she’s not backing down on the budget, ObamaCare, & other issues. She’s taking a lot of heat & I’m really disappointed that she’s not being supported by the party … republican party AND the tea party! I’m not enthused with Newt, Pawlenty, Romney. They all seem to be more of an elitist leaning in their stance on things. I believe that Newt is a globalist also & I’m pretty sure that Romney is & it’s all about $$$$, big money & Romney is the only one that’s making much headway in that area.

      • Average Joe

Bachman lost my vote when she voted to extend the Un-patriotic “Patriot Act”. Bachman?…not on my watch!

Ron Paul / Andrew Napolitano 2012!

      • Cawmun Cents

Eventually you will find fault with nearly every candidate. My take on Ron Paul is that he is much like Neville Chamberlain when you take into account his foreign policy.Lets just wait until someone attacks us first instead of being pro-active.That strategy worked somewhat in the twentieth century, but now(in todays world)it is suicidal. So there is my dirty laundry about Ron Paul.Nobody is perfect, but we had better find someone who can really win against Obama,or to vote will mean abosolutely nothing.-CC.

      • Average Joe

How many countries in the world have the capability to launch a nuke at the US?…. Very few
How many countries in the world have the capabilies to “sneak up” on the continental US?….ZIP,Zilch, Nada.
How many people can sneak accross our borders and enter the US for dubious reasons?…..hundreds of thousands a year.
Now given those facts, where should we be prioritizing our “defense strategies”?

I really don’t see any country from the middle east (Small to non-existent military stregnth) attacking us.About the only country I would be worried about is N. Korea (and only because Kim Jong-il is a bit on the crazy side).
I am guessing that you are one of those people that don’t understand blowback….meaning that people are tired of the US “occupying” their sovereign nations…..and that makes them angry….it would make me angry. Maybe you need to watch the movie “Red Dawn” in order to get a bit of perspective on the subject of occupation.
While you are free to believe as you wish…it might be in your best interest to look at things from a different perspective than the “American” perspective.

      • Ret_MSgt

There is no way on earth I could vote for Bachman. The others have potential but not her. Rewrite history, deny or avoid addressing what has been said about her clinic. How is that any different than what we have/ I am looking for someone anyone that if they make a mistake they own up to it. I am tried of the political mumbo jumbo most of them talk. None of these people are perfect. None of them make the water they walk on. None of them can part the Red Sea. I am not looking for a savor, I am looking for an honest person. We all make mistakes but if you can’t own up to them I have no time to listen to anything you say.

  • gml

From what I have been able to gleen from my research on the subject of the Bilderberg connection with Perry is that he MAY have attended a meeting in either 1997 or 1999 and never again. He was also not Bush’s best friend either. I am still out on the subject of Perry but if he would choose Rubio as his running mate I think he could take the country in a landslide. Bachmann maybe. I think he is our man to close the border which is what is important for our state. Who is going to take his place a Governor of Texas???? Big question!

    • gypsy

I hope someone who can finish there business

    • PamR

There are so many sites on Bilderberg. Check out another. One that I read said he joined in 2000 and is current. A really informative site is Bilderberg 2011 then click on The Rockfeller World Order and the High Priests of Globalization, by Andrew Gavin Marshall. Hope this info helps you. God bless America.

  • newspooner

Perry wanted to mandate that all teenage girls in Texas must get the Gardasil innoculation to prevent some kind of STD which they can prevent by simply not getting involved in improper activities. This is as bad as mandating that all 18 year olds must do community or national “service” because it is their “patriotic obligation” as “citizens”. That is about as unAmerican as anything. You own your body, and the government should not have any right to tell you what to do with it, where you should live, what you should do for work, or make any claim that you “owe” something to society. While Perry might be on the correct side of many issues, this elitist, orwellian attitude makes him just another anti-freedom politician. If you think that the office of President is important, then you should only support a candidate who is 100% on the side of freedom. You can find one in Texas, but it isn’t Rick Pderry.

    • gml

Perry was trying to bring down the cost of this very important innoculation. My Mother died from this cancer and I immediately thought it was a good thing. It is so expensive that the girls with the highest risk cannot get it. Childhood immunizations are no longer mandatory and you should really consider what his actions could have meant for the girls in the highest risk group are loosing out on. Don’t be so narrow minded. No one is more conservative than I but one can always say no.

      • newspooner

There is NO legitimacy to forced innoculations! There is NO legitimacy to a military draft or compulsory community or national service! You own your body; the government does not. You should make the choices about what is best for you. It is a case of freedom vs. slavery.

      • Lost in Paradise

You are right on Spooner, and it should remain that way.

      • hicusdicus

Freedom does not mean you can do what you want with no obligation to society or the rule of law. If you intend to follow this line of thinking you better own a gun and be ready to use it.

      • TML

@hicusdicus – Freedom is about trusting that individuals can make better choices than the government can make for us. Freedom does mean being able to do what you what, so long as you don’t hurt them physically or financially. It certainly does NOT mean blind obedience to the rule of law.

“If a law is unjust, not only is a man right to disobey it, he is obligated to do so” – Thomas Jefferson

      • http://?? Joe H.

        gml,
you might want to check a little closer on those childhood vaccinations. Try to register a child for public school without them!!
        Ain’t gonna happen!

  • s c

Even in politics, you can’t turn your back on common sense (though most airheads in Washington do try). A politician who relies on compromise to ‘get things done’ is NOT a doer. That jerk is a wishy-washy, worthless, closet, career criminal.
From what I’ve heard, Perry is exactly that, and probably more. If you compare Perry with Paul, Perry shows himself to be a classic Republipukin#%*up. Paul leaves Perry in the dust.
So, if you think a true conservative wants a damned Texas-to-Canada superhighway, then you don’t need a computer or a special committee to see that Perry is NOT a conservative. What other secrets/flaws are in Perry’s closet?
So WHY would anyone want another rump-for-sale, geekoid yahoo in the White House?

    • professor

The “Corridor” connects Mexico and Canada, by crossing Texas. This Corridor will facilitate the emergence of the “North American Union!”
The NAU is meant to transformation Mexico, Canada and the U. S. into one entity. Eventually,as it is planned, there will be no borders, no sovereignty, no Constitution, no dollars…. We will be citizens of the “Union.” It is to be used as a first-step toward the “One World Order.”

The Bilderbergs can claim the most powerful, in our government, as members! But, they are not the most powerful group! There is still another about which even less is known…its members are the “World Elites.”

  • Mike

If you want the world’s most powerful globalists, the Bilderbergs, choosing the president of the United States again – Rick Perry is your man.

    • Michael J.

      Mike,
You stole my line. Glad to see that other people are aware of Perry’s allegiances. First thing to consider these days when sizing up a candidate is an initial Google search (or any other search engine) to uncover any Bilderberg, CFR or Trilat affiliations.

      • Fernando Vasquez

TRUE1 PEOPLE DONT REALIZE PERRY IS SLICKER THAN AN EEL. CORRUPT WHY DO YOU THINK HE HAS REMAIND IN OFFICE A CAREER POLITICIANS SINCE BASICALLY HIS LATE TEENS. HE HAS KEPT OTHER REPUBLICAN CANDIDATES AT BAY SO HE HAS NO PRIMARY A TACTIC USED BY THE REPUBLICAN PARTY OF NY STATE FOR MANY DECADES. WHILE MAKING DEALS WITH DEMOCRATS TO GIVE HIM WEAK CANDIDATES. IT IS FRUSTRATING GIVING OUR MONEY AWAY FOR SO MANY MEXICANS TO COME AND GET FREE SERVICES AT HOSPITALS AND CLINICS. FRUSTRATING TO SEE SO MANY MEXICAN LICENSE PLATES AT CONSTRUCTION SITES. ALL TO THE CURTESY OF RICK PERRY.

      • juswonderin

I KNOW that the construciton jobs should go to the American workers! But I’ve heard how these construction companies really abuse the Mexicans by paying them in cash & that way they don’t have to pay for workman’s comp, insurance & union wages!! I’ve heard they also work them from sun-up to sun-down & the companies don’t have to pay them overtime. It’s good to know Perry’s stance on the immigration subject! Thanks!!

      • Nadzieja Batki

What you are wanting is that each and every individual be a moral and responsible human being. This is not happening and will not happen any time soon. This is the most basic of reasons why the frustration is happening in this country. If we have this much evil there must be enough people doing the evil. How is anyone going to stop the evil from happening? In that we have to be careful that we in turn don’t become the tyrants we abhore.

      • Lost in Paradise

No offense Fernando, but where did you immigrate from. Iam only curious, and not meaning anything bad to you. You are obviouly a true American.

      • juswonderin

Thanks for the information about the Bilderburgs & the Trilateral Commission & how they back candidates. I was not aware of the tie to them until I researched a little bit regarding their role in our politics! They are the epitimy of the ONE WORLD ORDER/GOVERMENT!!! This administration is doing all it can to destroy our freedoms, rights, our Constitution!! All for political & financial gain & also fame!! I HATE THOSE ORGANIZATIONS!!! I would hope that EVERY AMERICAN will look it up & also about the Federal Reserve & to audit the Treasury Dept!!!

    • Johnny Hiott

You hit the nail on the head Mike ! Perry is following in the footsteps of bill clinton who also sought and got the blessings
      of the bilderberg group.

  • 1minuteman

perry wimped out on the TSA bill in texas. he dragged his feet till they ran out of time while making it look like they were all for passing it. this was his chance to show he had whatit takes to take on the socialists led by obama and reid and pelosi and he failed. we need people who will stand firm and not back down like bachman and i wish he run allen west.

    • wandamurline

You can thank the House big guy Strauss and Dewhurst for the TSA deal…they are the ones who caved. Dewhurts actually thinks he can take Hutchison’s place when she retires….NOT.

    • http://google gary gerke

Boy, some of you don’t have a clue about why he couldn’t sign the tsa bill. The administration threatened Texas with a no fly zone, that would be a death sentence for the Texas economy. Think about that for a minute!

      • professor

We don’t need a guy that “crumbles” under a threat (especially a threat that couldn’t possibly be enforced!)

    • PamR

Rick Perry is one of the socialists. Check it out at Bilderberg. He will be backed by the same group that backed Obama, Clinton, Ford. They are all for a One World Government. We’re in for a hard and long fight to save America.

  • Bob

I would love to have the chance to vote for Perry. He seems to be what this country needs – an upstanding man of principle and faith unlike the degenerate marxist/atheist/lieberal we have in office today.

    • Donna

      You are sooooo right!

      • Donna

this was my reply to Mike not to Bob! Perry has too many dark sides!

      • skip

The best thing he has had ever said is wanting Texas to secede. And then begged for a US bailout for the fires sweeping his state. What is is real stance? Can ‘t have it both ways.

    • wandamurline

He has been my governor for years…he has done some things that I did not like, but you cannot please everyone all the time. Overall, he has been a true conservative and Christian. He is having a day of prayer in Houston on August 6th, and some dingy organization from Minnesota is suing him over it…isn’t that ridiculous. What right do they have to sue my state? Anyways, we’ll have our day of prayer and you can count on it…Perry is not good at backing down from anything.

    • Fernando Vasquez

BEFORE SO MANY IDIOTS JUST LIKE THE ONES THAT CAME OUT IN DROVES VOTING FOR OBAMA LOOK FOR A REPUBLICAN MESSIAH, THINK FIRST!!! RICK PERRY HAS THE WORST WORKMENS COMP LAWS IN THE NATION AND REFUSES TO DO TO ANYTHING AMONG MANY THINGS WRONG WITH THE STATE.

RICK PERRY HAS ALLOWED SO MANY MEXICANS TO COME TO TEXAS FOR FREE HEALTH CARE. GO TO ANY CLINIC, ANY HOSPITAL IN TEXAS AND THERE ARE MEXICAN WOMEN COMING TO TEXAS FOR BIRTH AND FREE SERVICES ALL PAID FOR BY OUR MONEY. GO TO ANY CONSTRUCTION SITE AND ALL YOU SEE ARE MEXICAN LICENSE PLATES AT CONSTRUCTION SITES. MEXICAN WORKERS COME HERE GET OUT MONEY THEN GO BACK HOME EITHER EVERYDAY OR EVERYDAY OR EVERY WEEKEND. THIS AND MUST WORST IS WHAT WILL COME FROM A RICK PERRY PRESIDENCY.

FURTHER, HE ALREADY HAS BEGUN THE TIES WITH THE CORRUPT NY STATE REPUBLICAN PARTY THAT HAS BEEN LIKENED TO THE OLD SOVIET UNION. NOW PATAKI’S SON (PATAKI WAS THE GOVERNOR OF NY) WHO IS ON PERRY’S PAYROLL AND JUST MOVED TO TEXAS (CEDAR PARK). THERE IS A DEAL ALREADY BEING MADE WITH NY. CALIFORNIA THE WORST ECONOMIC STATE IS PUSHING FOR RICK PERRY, NOW WHY IS THAT?

      • Gordon Selfridge

Not his fault. If he )gonerner/state) said ‘no more’ they would be in violation of some kind of stupid law.

      • meteorlady

While I live in Texas, I must say that the immigration problem is not Perry’s to solve. he has written, called and personally visited Obama to get our borders secured and he has gotten no where, just like all the other governors. We have a good economy, houses are depreciating less than other states, and as far as workmens’ comp goes, I don’t care if anyone every collects. It’s a corrupt and fraud ridden system and needs to be redone or ended. As a small business owner, I can tell you that I have had some about 10 bogus claims filed in the last 7 years. It’s becoming epidemic to rip off the system.

      • C130 Gunship

meteorlady…..The hell with Perry, the Texas legislature should pass bills making mandatory 5 years hard prison time for all illegals caught here over the age of 18, all under that age go back to wherever they are from. Not a citizen without health care or money? no heath care-period. No anchor baby bull$hit-period. All costs to lock up and process illegals in Texas deducted from any foreign aide packages. Any and all non citizens caught smuggling drugs across the border to be tried, and imprisoned, costs charged back to their home county. Any illegals caught forfeit all assets in the USA (house, car, bank accounts, etc.). Any illegals caught driving drunk, or without car insurance, 5 years hard time…(same for citizens) In the case of death due to DWI, 25 years hard time, no parole, kicked out of the USA, all costs charged back to their home country. Any illegal caught the 2nd time, tried and shot.

Hard times call for hard solutions

Just abolish the 14th amendment like they did the 18th. That would get rid of the anchor baby issue as well as the equal protection clause that causes so many lawsuits. As we all already know, everyone is equal, some are just more equal than others.

I can see from yours and many other supporters of Rick, that one of your primary reasons is his religion. The MUST be a better reason than that to vote for a president.

And I’d say he has no ‘good’ principles after he forced dangerous vaccinations on little girls. I’ve heard other things, but that’s the one crime against a free people I can not dismiss.

  • TIME

    In a word, NO.

    • C130 Gunship

Time……NO! Twice…..Here’s what Vox Day has to say about him:

Gov. Perry has been a decent governor. Like another ex-Democratic governor, Ronald Reagan, he is good on taxes and bad on borrowing. However, his track record on parental rights and corporate corruption is an awful one, as can be seen by his 2007 executive order requiring $360 Gardasil vaccinations for all Texas girls over the age of 11. Nor did he lift a finger to stop his own State Department of Family and Protective Services when it ran wild in 2008 and kidnapped 468 children on the basis of a single false accusation made by a crazy woman in Colorado. I am not aware of Perry troubling to discipline any of his criminally wayward employees after the fact, either.

This does not mean Rick Perry cannot defeat Obama. Any Republican who wins the nomination has an excellent chance to win the presidential election in 2012. The problem is that a Perry victory would be a pyrrhic one that could be even more damaging to the nation, and to the Republican Party, than George W. Bush’s two victories were. Despite his past success, Perry’s gubernatorial record indicates that he is totally unequipped to deal with the challenge of an economy that has been artificially, and temporarily, propped up by a $4.1 trillion (82.9 percent) increase in federal debt over the last 11 quarters.

      Perry ain’t the Republican ‘Messiah’

      • ONTIME

Real Republicans don’t want a messaiah they want someone with a track record of wins against the Deemers and a good chance to knock this chi town commie out of office. I just finished a investment in TX and it was a pleasure to do biz, while I was there I asked questions about Perry and for the most part got favorable input. The hard part will be to stop the growth of govenment and reduce the size by 20%.

Right on TIME!! Perry is a Globalist, member of Bilderberg’s, CFR member, Wants to build the super hiway, and give it to Spain, and they can make BILLIONS, making it a toll road!! Soft on immigration, supported Gore for President! Forced Gardisill on young women, many died, others suffered permmanent health damage…and…it’s still being forced upon them!! We might as well keep Obozo, our Liar in chief in, there wouldn’t be a nickels worth of difference!!!

      • C130 Gunship

EddieW…..I’m no fan of ‘Prick Fairy’ but please provide your source of “many died, others suffered permmanent health damage.”

        Thanks

      • libertytrain

Google it – there’s a lot of info out there.

      • C130 Gunship

libertytrain……Did that, still haven’t found ‘many deaths’

      • libertytrain

        http://washingtonexaminer.com/blogs/beltway-confidential/update-foia-uncovers-16-new-gardasil-related-deaths
this talks about 16 new deaths; another actual Government site referred to at least 39 deaths – still considering it safe. I don’t know why you are having difficulty finding it. Google deaths from gardisil – very easy. Many many links.

      • PamR

Rick Perry has been a Bilderberg since 2000. Obama was chosen by Bilderberg and they are still backing him. Great! Bilderberg backing the Democrat and Republican presidential race. They can’t loose.

      • Bus

“Liar in thief” I like that.

    • Average Joe

      I must concur…Hell NO!
