The Imperial President

July 18, 2011 by

The Imperial President

Having just shed the shackles of monarchy, the Founding Fathers were loath to establish a government with an all-powerful chief executive. To prevent it, they created a government divided into three equal branches. Their idea was that each branch would check the other in order to limit government’s growth.

But the anti-Federalist Cato, thought to be New York Governor George Clinton, warned in Letter V to the citizens of New York that the compact under consideration did not provide strong enough checks and balances. He wrote:

Before the existence of express political compacts it was reasonably implied that the magistrate should govern with wisdom and Justice, but mere implication was too feeble to restrain the unbridled ambition of a bad man, or afford security against negligence, cruelty, or any other defect of mind. It is alledged that the opinions and manners of the people of America, are capable to resist and prevent an extension of prerogative or oppression; but you must recollect that opinion and manners are mutable, and may not always be a permanent obstruction against the encroachments of government; that the progress of a commercial society begets luxury, the parent of inequality, the foe to virtue, and the enemy to restraint; and that ambition and voluptuousness aided by flattery, will teach magistrates, where limits are not explicitly fixed to have separate and distinct interests from the people, besides it will not be denied that government assimilates the manners and opinions of the community to it. Therefore, a general presumption that rulers will govern well is not a sufficient security. You are then under a sacred obligation to provide for the safety of your posterity, and would you now basely desert their interests, when by a small share of prudence you may transmit to them a beautiful political patrimony, that will prevent the necessity of their travelling through seas of blood to obtain that, which your wisdom might have secured: It is a duty you owe likewise to your own reputation, for you have a great name to lose; you are characterised as cautious, prudent and jealous in politics; whence is it therefore, that you are about to precipitate yourselves into a sea of uncertainty, and adopt a system so vague, and which has discarded so many of your valuable rights. Is it because you do not believe that an American can be a tyrant? If this be the case you rest on a weak basis; Americans are like other men in similar situations, when the manners and opinions of the community are changed by the causes I mentioned before, and your political compact inexplicit, your posterity will find that great power connected with ambition, luxury, and flattery, will as readily produce a Caesar, Caligula, Nero, and Domitian in America, as the same causes did in the Roman empire.

Sadly, it turns out he was correct. Congress has abdicated its responsibility, the Federal judiciary has become the oligarchy Thomas Jefferson warned about, and the result is we now have an imperial Presidency.

The imperial Presidency has its roots in 1861 and Abraham Lincoln, who had no regard for the Constitution and the rule of law.

The Southern States had every right to secede under the Constitution. In his inaugural address, President Thomas Jefferson said, “If there be any among us who would wish to dissolve this Union or to change its republican form, let them stand undisturbed as monuments of the safety with which error of opinion may be tolerated where reason is left free to combat it.”

As Judge Andrew P. Napolitano states in his book, The Constitution in Exile, in a later speech Jefferson, discussing the possibility of States seceding, said, “God bless them both and keep them in the union if it be for their good, but separate them if it be better.”

“Lincoln’s act of sending troops to Virginia triggered the armed conflict that became the Civil War,” Napolitano writes. “He did so under the premise that war was necessary to preserve the union. But the truth is that Lincoln had several other options to exhaust before resorting to warfare — and that’s only after we observe that the Southern states had the right to secede from the Union if they wished to do so.”

During the period from April 12, 1861 — when first engagement of the Civil War took place — until his death April 14, 1865, Lincoln ordered the murder of civilians, declared martial law, shut down convening State legislatures, arrested State politicians and journalists, closed newspapers, suspended habeas corpus, seized vast amounts of property without compensating the owners, imprisoned Northern citizens without trial, conducted a war without Congressional approval, ignored orders of the Supreme Court, consented in — and encouraged — the commission of war crimes by his generals, and oversaw the illegal creation of the State of West Virginia.

Even Lincoln historian apologists accuse Lincoln of being a dictator. They just seem to believe he was a “good” dictator because they support what he did during his dictatorship. But tyranny is tyranny.

“Lincoln took all of these actions in the name of preserving (emphasis in original) constitutional government. It’s hard to imagine something more tyrannical than a central government that suppresses life, speech, and political expression with such drastic measures,” Napolitano writes.

Lincoln’s actions effectively ended the prospect of nullification and gutted the 10th Amendment. And ever since Lincoln got away with trampling the Constitution, Presidents, Congresses and Federal judges have been writing laws and issuing edicts and orders in violation of the Constitution and its enumerated powers. In other words, they do what they want, ignoring the rule of law.

The three branches, envisioned by the Founders as a set of checks against one another, became partners in crime. They consolidated their power over those they governed and set about entrenching themselves and enriching themselves, their political parties and their cronies.

Following the events of 9/11, Congress granted President George W. Bush sweeping powers to make war on terrorists and imprison Americans without trail. Like Lincoln, Bush suspended habeas corpus. Congress also passed the liberty-crushing USA Patriot Act that gave law enforcement agencies broad powers to eavesdrop, search and surveil Americans.

As the economy crashed in 2008, Bush — under the guise of “saving” the economy — looted the Treasury to make sure his Treasury Secretary’s old firm, Goldman Sachs, made out like a bandit. It turns out all the big banksters, both domestic and foreign, got a slice of that pie. Congress helped and Judiciary sat on its hands and did nothing.

But as has been the case since his inauguration, whatever Bush did, Obama has doubled down. He has become the Imperial President.

Obama has appointed dozens of czars without the consent of Congress. These czars set policy for Obama’s regulatory agencies — the alphabet soup government agencies that create problems through regulation and then pass more regulations to solve the regulatory problems they created. These agencies are answerable to no one and nothing. Obama’s agenda of killing jobs, suppressing innovation and supporting unviable “green” technologies is their lone goal.

Sadly, not only does Congress not care, it is working posthaste to make it easier for the President to avoid Congress altogether. The Senate, by a roll call vote of 79-20, last week passed the President Appointment Efficiency and Streamlining Act of 2011. It’s set to go before the House soon. The bill’s aim is to eliminate Senate confirmation of 200 of the roughly 1,400 Presidential appointments that fall under Article II, Section 2, according to The Washington Examiner.

Then last week, Senator Mitch McConnell (R-Ky.) floated the harebrained notion to give the President the authority to raise the debt ceiling on his own.

So it’s not enough that the President just ignores Congress, Congress has decided it wants to give the President carte blanche to ignore it even further.

Meanwhile, Obama morphs into more of a Third World-style dictator every day. Recognizing that the Federal government was abdicating its responsibility to control the border and guarantee every State a republican form of government, Arizona passed a comprehensive immigration law that virtually mirrored Federal law. The Obama Administration sued Arizona.

As the Texas Legislature grew close to passing a law that would make it a crime for agents of the Transportation Security Administration to fondle airline passengers and ogle their naked photographs, the Obama inJustice Department threatened to establish a no-fly zone over the State. This is the same inJustice Department that ignored voter intimidation by members of the New Black Panthers Party at Pennsylvania polling stations during the 2008 elections — charges the accused didn’t even bother to contest.

Other States that have passed sovereignty laws on issues from medical marijuana to funding abortions to intrastate ammunition and gun sales — oops, there’s the fallout from the first tyrant President’s actions — have also faced lawsuit and intimidation at the hands of the Mafia-style Federal government.

Inexplicably, unions give unqualified support to Obama even as he kicks them in the teeth while playing the liberal class-warfare game. Yachts and airplanes are symbols of the rich to Obama, so he denounces yachts and airplanes and threatens to change the tax code so that the rich can’t buy new yachts and airplanes. Who makes yachts and airplanes? Laborers and craftsman — many of them union members — who will be out of work by the thousands when the rich stop buying yachts and airplanes. So, too, will the engineers, marketing people, accountants, secretaries and all the others who are part of that industry, as will those who work in ancillary industries.

Not content with kicking the yacht and airplane laborers and craftsmen to the curb, Obama also attacks the oil and coal industries. Already, he’s ignored a court order to approve Gulf drilling. So tens of thousands of oil workers remain idle, oil and gas prices rise and thousands upon thousands of people struggling to get by are forced to struggle even harder. His Environmental Protection Agency has announced new rules which will kill coal-mining jobs by the thousands.

But for Obama, that’s OK because Americans are stupid. We cling to our guns and religion, he says. His dismally dimwitted Presidential ventriloquist doll Jay Carney said in a recent press conference that to most Americans, the term debt ceiling “sounds like gobbledygook.”

In another press conference, Carney dismissed a poll of a majority of the public saying the debt limit shouldn’t be raised by arguing that most people “don’t have a lot of time to focus on what is a debt ceiling.” And then he took a swipe at the press corps: “I mean, honestly, did anyone in this room, before they had to cover issues like this, have any idea what a debt ceiling was?”

Obama political hack David Plouffe said: “The average American does not view the economy through the prism of GDP or unemployment rates or even monthly jobs numbers. People won’t vote based on the unemployment rate, they’re going to vote based on: ‘How do I feel about my own situation? Do I believe the president makes decisions based on me and my family?’”

When confronted by a reporter with the poll numbers showing 69 percent of Americans oppose raising the debt limit, Obama responded: “Well, let me distinguish between professional politicians and the public at large. The public is not paying close attention to the ins and outs of how a Treasury option goes. They shouldn’t. They’re worrying about their family; they’re worrying about their jobs; they’re worrying about their neighborhood. They’ve got a lot of other things on their plate. We’re paid to worry about it. I think, depending on how you phrase the question, if you said to the American people, is it a good idea for the United States not to pay its bills and potentially create another recession that could throw millions of more people out of work, I feel pretty confident I can get a majority on my side on that one.”

Since you’re not paying attention, Obama says you can just eat cake… or “peas.”

Ignoring the rule of law, Obama has — with Congressional complicity — turned the natural born citizen qualification for the President on its ear. He’s probably committed a felony or two by releasing a forged document that he claims is a birth certificate and by using a fraudulent Social Security number.

With a wink and a nod to Sarah Brady, Obama promised to work behind the scenes to pass stronger anti-gun legislation. He sat back while his appointee to the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives — and maybe even his Attorney General — pushed guns across the Mexican border. Then, he complained that American weapons were crossing the border and proposed marking that troubling 2nd Amendment off the Bill of Rights to stop it.

Seeking — successfully it turns out — to cow Republicans resisting raising taxes to seal a deal to raise the debt ceiling, Obama threatens to withhold Social Security checks. It’s a typical political ploy to threaten to cause the most pain on the largest number of people in order to get your way.

He lies with impunity, disregards the Constitution, ignores the laws he doesn’t agree with, does what he wishes, and has started three unConstitutional wars — two more than Bush started.

And Congress? Save for a few lone voices they stand by and pledge fealty to the Imperial Presidency.

Powerfully written slant. Opening, a recap of early history forged in blood by intentions and noble ideas. Body, summary of excesses and contrived failures. Conclusion, laying the final product at one man door.

Masterful. You are on your game this morning Mr. Livingston.

    • DaveH

Wake up, Bob. Read “The Big Ripoff: How Big Business and Big Government Steal Your Money” by Timothy P. Carney.
      You are being used.

      • bob wire

Thanks dave, I’ll look into it, I will! promise but I don’t need to read a book to know this.

DOES ANYBODY WANT PROOF THAT WHAT IS SAID ABOUT CONGRESS IS THE GOSPEL
    TRUTH ???

Has anybody heard or read a word about Senator BROWN, (other than like Senator OBAMA saying HERE at rol call in the Senate), the one who, with all the “due” fanfare, got the traditional Democrat seat of TED KENNEDY..??

Well, seems that after meeting with OBAMA, he also fell under his mermaid song charm, like all other Republicans who ever flew with him
    in Air Force …

It has already happened. Haven’t you guys noticed! Obama has closed down every newspaper in America. He has shut down every independent television station. He cancelled the 2010 elections. Nancy Pelosi is still the Speaker of hte House. Everyone over 65 has been rounded up and put into death camps. I lost my parents. Obama’s secret security force executed them along with 55 million other seniors. There are no more old people in America. There are no more gun owners in America, either. Obama confiscated every single firearm in the United States. All protests have been prohibited. The U.S. Congress has been closed. Obama now rules through martial law. Those Tea Party demonstration you saw on TV were all staged, put on by Obama’s people. The Democratic Party has taken over every school system, university, town, county, and state government in America. We are now living a one-party state. The closing down of Fox News particulary outraged me – along with the execution of Rush Limbaugh, Sean Hannity, Bill O’Reilly, Ann Coulter, and Laura Ingraham. And then of course there was the UN takeover of our entire U.S. military, and the UN military occupation of all fifty-one states (including Israel, of course) It has already happened. We are living now in the End of Days! Where have you all you people been?!… Perhaps living in a cuckoo clock, right wing, nutzo paranoid fantasyland? Where you actualLy BELIEVE all the crap and lies I wrote earlier in this post? And as for imperial presidency, how about George W. who started two undeclared, unconstitutional, massive wars, enacted the Patriot Act, illegal wiretaps, black ops, redactions, a new mercenary Blackwater military beholden only to him, government sanctioned torture at Abu Gharib, Guantanamo, and scores of other sites, the Sept 2008 $700 billion bank bail-out, the Dec 2008 auto companies bail-out? Didn’t he expand the imperial presidency just a tad with the aforementioned actions 2001-2009? I must be crazy though. None of that actually happened, only Obama’s treacherous destruction of America which is detailed in the earlier lines of this post. That is THE REAL TRUTH. I’ve lost my marbles. George W. was in fact a small government, limited-powers president. That is why there was not a single Tea Party protest against his adminstration. Oh and he was white too – and a Christian, God Bless Him. I almost forgot.

    • Norm

Yes you have lost your marbles, if you ever had any in the first place!

      • DaveH

Lol. He’s one of you, Norm. He just thinks he’s being clever.

      • eddie47d

He is only poking you all and presenting all the paranoia that so many of you believe in. Ouch! You(commenters) attempt to win through fear if you haven’t grasped that yet.

      • DaveH

What have I said that is paranoid, Eddie?

    • JimRed

“…government sanctioned torture at Abu Gharib, Guantanamo…”

Abu Ghraib was no worse than a severe fraternity hazing. Even liberal moron college students manage to survive that. And our own Special Forces troops are waterboarded as part of their training. But, keep drinkin’ that tasty KoolAid!

  • Bill

No one in Congress or the Judicial branch has the guts and courage to try to impeach the president. They are sitting around hopeing he will be voted out of office instead. Meanwhile, he is destroying the nation, the economy and the American way of life.

    • Nancy

Apparently they are not hearing enough from “We the People” yelling to Impeach him. We need everyone to pray that he is taken out of office and keep praying and lead by example.

      • Norm

        Nancy
Muslims pray a lot. They also prey a lot. Christians about the same!

      • http://www.personalliberty.com/conservative-politics/government/the-imperial-president/?replytocom=493764#respond ginny

Norm, you must not have been around “real” Christians. They don’t prey a lot. They pray a lot. You sound very sad.

      • Carol

To him “We The People” he thinks that mean himself because his ears need to be cleaned out really well with something stronger than water a little lie would do just fine in my book.

    • DaveH

It’s not a matter of courage, Bill. They don’t want to impeach Obama. If Americans need to learn one thing, it’s that Politicians like their power and they like their perks. They will tell us whatever sweet sounding lies they can to keep them.

  • SheepDog

    Hey Napoleon,
Pull your head out of your ass for a clearer view of “your president”

  • denny

some body voted for him and it wasn’t me hee hee

    • Carol

That exactly the way I feel but nobody would listen to me when I told them what he was like that includes my own family but now when it is to late they see what I was speaking about but now we will have to move heaven and earth to get him out and undo the mess that he has created.

  • Chris

If you want to have an empire; you have to have an emperor.

  • Charles

Sadly, a tragedy is taking place here in America, and my heart is broken.

    • Norm

      Charles
The middle class is being raped by the ultra rich elites. That the sad story of America.

      • rulken

Hey NORM; what are you a union worker?

      • Mutantone

And who makes the jobs happen? and who pays the most taxes?

      • Karolyn

The ultra-rich do not necessarily make jobs happen and pay the most taxes.

      • DaveH

We could solve that dilemma, Karolyn, by having each adult pay the same taxes, as our founders intended. That concept was subverted in 1913 by those who knew what was necessary to expand the Federal Government to its present size.
With the Federal Reserve Act, and the 16th and 17th Amendments, all the building blocks were set in place for Gargantuan Government.
The Federal Reserve Act gave them a ready source of funds for out of control spending.
The 16th Amendment gave them the tool for differential taxing necessary to use class warfare as a revenue raising tool.
And the 17th Amendment allowed the allegiance of the Senate to be to the Federal Government rather than to the States as the Founders intended.
You see, the super-rich and politicians are clever fellows.

      • Nadzieja Batki

Have you created any jobs lately?
It is the rich who create jobs. They were willing to create companies, products, technology and they became wealthy in the process.

      • Karolyn

Nadja – No I haven’t created any jobs lately, but I have in the past, and as I have already said, I have worked for poor business people and for small nonprofits, which netted me little money but much satisfaction and a life lived on my terms rather than on some idea that I had to kill myself for some business I cared little about just for the almighty dollar.

      • DaveH

If you truly have no interest in the “almighty dollar”, Karolyn, then why do you support people whose gaze is so narrowly focused on Other Peoples’ Money?

      • bob wire

Hmm? Well I guess, ~ the Pharaoh created job too! More brick please!

Cesar created jobs, more Christians please, we are running low.

Peter the Great created jobs! Tax masters, farmers, miners and sailors, carpenters, metal smiths

Adolph Hitler created jobs. soldiers, factory workers, tax maters, recovery and reclaim, police, guards, incarceration and disposal of people and their bodies employees. Warehouse workers, he gave everyone a job or killed them trying.

even I create jobs ! Plumbers, electricians, Field Techs, domestic help, lawn service workers, mechanics, welders, bookkeepers, attorneys.

I think it would be wise to be more actuate when we expressing ourselves.

The wealthy create jobs if they so choose and the quality of those jobs is being left to depend solely on them it seems.

I wouldn’t look to the wealthy for salvation if I were you. Their benevolence is limited. They have got their hands full lording over their money and trying to keep as much a possible. Someone is always trying to get it,friends, family or government or just plain thieves.

There is not enough of the wealthy to offer the number of opportunities in demand today. That they have managed to corner, capture and control 60% of America’s wealth today due in part to laws that’s be put in place and there no laws other then paying taxes on it that’s required of them. it’s Good for them and bad for the rest.

Go make yourselves a job, find a need and fill it. It’s not rocket surgery. Quite trying to be a house ni”"er to the wealthy, it unbecoming and makes me sick to my stomach to watch play out as people behave like complaining Sea Gulls fighting over scraps someone has thrown out.

We imprison ourselves with our fear and blindness. There is no way out! ~ you/me are going to die! until then, apply yourself and make yourself useful to someone, ~ they don’t have to be rich unless that is one of your own requirement. And if so, ~ I’ve got nothing for you. Take you happy assets on down the road.

      • Norm

        Mutantone
Most U.S. jobs, these days, are created by small bussinessmen. These guys aren’t that rich, generally.

      • Nadzieja Batki

God willing these same small businessmen will become wealthy and create more jobs and hire more people and keep propagating this scenario.

      • DaveH
      • Patriot

Stop with the class warfare stuff, these thoughts fall into the propaganda trap. We are Americans we will always take care of the helpless, we all aspire for a better life, no matter where you are in life, most of us are working hard towards that goal. It is becoming increasingly more difficult with this Big Government agenda and attitude! Keep fighting!

  • http://aol.com sean murrey ILLInio

A lot more reasons for impeachment.

  • Karen

The new Dark Ages are closer than the average American realizes, and I am convinced that our only hope of avoiding it is to reveal Obama for who he really is. If Congress won’t do it, we can. Begin with Stephen Pidgeon’s book “The Obama Error” along with Corsi’s latest book on the birth certificate. The Pidgeon book has detail of the many other crimes Obama has committed and also explains why it is virtually impossible for Obama to even by a citizen, let alone a natural born citizen. He has–according t British law–a Commonwealth citizenship which he has never renounced. He is also a citizen of Indonesia. If he ever reclaimed his American citizenship–which many say he never had in the first place, he would have had to have taken an oath of allegiance AND registered for the draft BEFORE his 26th birthday. He did neither, and the selective service from he published in 2008 has been proven a forgery. If he did not register for selective service prior to the age of 26, there is now no way for him to claim American citizenship. We have ben dooped, people, in ways far beyond or worst nightmare. As if that wasn’t enough, Pidgeon has a lot of cirsumstantial evidence that would indicate that Obama himself may be a Sunni Muslim and secret member of the Muslim Brotherhood. But don’t take my word for it. Read the book and decide for yourself.

While predestination is not eminent it can be accelerated with defeatism. If you see dark days, dark days you will have.

While I would confess, things today are looking a bit gloomy at the moment on many level, they can change if only you permit the possibility of change and work to that end. But if you seek out gloom, gloom you will find.

We can’t control all things but we can control how we react to them.

Much or most of what is happening today is contrived to create a response from you. Even a cow knows when it is being herded through a gate and resist with all it’s power and will. It will resist your “will” regardless of any benevolent or demonic intentions you harbor.

As humans, we pick and choice our response, we don’t have a “one response that fits all” though it seems so at times. Mr. Livingston is herding you into a corral of contempt for government and especially the current administration with history, facts, commentary and projected embellishment.

Why? What will happen there that wouldn’t happen otherwise?

Mr. Livingston is attempting to tap into the power of the collective to affect change, you are being solicited by a powerful word smith. He only needs to get the strongest among us head to turned toward the gate and the rest will follow.

While there is much truth to his words, was not this same man offering wind under 43′s wings at one point in time purely by virtue of party label rather then opposing flawed thinking.

        Dear bob wire,

You accuse me of “projected embellishment.” Please provide an example.

You write: “…was not this same man offering wind under 43′s wings at one point in time purely by virtue of party label rather then opposing flawed thinking.”

No. I am no Republican ideologue, nor was I a fan or supporter of Bush 43’s policies. If you have proof to the contrary, I suggest you offer it up.

The “projected embellishment” seems to be coming from you.

        Best wishes,
        Bob

        “Dear bob wire,

“You accuse me of “projected embellishment.” Please provide an example.”

Okay, but I confess, I’m some what limited, I can’t find anything on you earlier then mid 2008. Even “Oil Weekly” fail to go back very far.

I’m sure material is out there but limited by time, I’ll jump in with what I got Mr. Livingston.

After 41 years of writing analyzes, which means you started at the ripe age of 26 writing on oil & gas interest. The connection with Bush/Chaney came somewhat natural as I can’t see you as a “Kerry” man. I would think that you would be sympathetic to gas & oil interest, finding much in common with the Bush’s and Dick Chaney. As we know, they too are hip deep in the oil and mineral extraction much like yourself and your Father at one time.

No complete stranger to the oil patch myself, embellishment is a standard “throw down card” when it comes to discussions with people that are clueless. It takes serious loot to poke holes in the earth and someone has to be “sold” before commitment. Embellishment works!

Now, ~ at 41 years doing what you do, I know that I am pulling on Super Man cape here, ~ as I also have endeavor in the same field for 41 years and know “exactly just how long 41 years is” and have some idea of the level of play you are working at.

I wrote: “…was not this same man offering wind under 43′s wings at one point in time purely by virtue of party label rather then opposing flawed thinking.”

        BL wrote;
“No. I am no Republican ideologue, nor was I a fan or supporter of Bush 43’s policies. If you have proof to the contrary, I suggest you offer it up.”

I’d need to go back farther then 2008 to find proof of that. The trail ends.

but just to hear you say it does offer some comfort and nice to know, but where were you when we needed people such as yourself?

I didn’t hear you voice. Opposition from the oil patch community was a very rare thing to hear then or now.

“The “projected embellishment” seems to be coming from you.”

But of course ! I’m from Texas and have many friends, family and personal interest in the oil patch. I pay taxes on royalty checks and am a different brand of conservative myself.

        And here your more recent embellishment;

“Meanwhile, Obama morphs into more of a Third World-style dictator every day. Recognizing that the Federal government was abdicating its responsibility to control the border and guarantee every State a republican form of government, Arizona passed a comprehensive immigration law that virtually mirrored Federal law. The Obama Administration sued Arizona.”

I guess it depends on what kind of mirror and then too, a state is not a national sovereignty. There is a difference and “O” didn’t sue as must as he subjected Arizona proposed laws to the scrutiny of the courts in defense of personal freedoms. Some passed judgment and some didn’t.

Enjoy sparing with you and enjoyed you write.

        Respectfully,
        BB

        Dear bob wire,

You, my friend, are addled. I can only assume you have me confused with John Myers as I have never had any association with Oil Weekly and I can assure you I was much older than “the ripe age of 26″ when I began writing my newsletter in 1969. And while we don’t have all the archives online, you can read back to 2002 at http://www.boblivingstonletter.com (subscription required).

And yes, the Obama administration did sue Arizona law and the law does mirror the Federal law (unless your mirror is broken).

        Best wishes,

      • Karolyn

Love what you had to say, bob. The more hue and cry we hear about how terrible things are, the more fearful people get, the worse things get. Every time a bad headline comes out, the stock market falls. Shouldn’t that show people what cowardice does? Everybody is so fearful they are creating that which they fear the most! My motto is “Enjoy life; support the economy; and love everybody!”

      • Capitalist at Birth

The worst, may yet be to come. If you are not prepared, it will be your problem not mine.

      • Bob

Karolyn is prepared – she is already a parasite and knows how to work the system to get something for nothing.

      • Karolyn

Now, Bob, was that really necessary?

      • bob wire

No Bob, Karolyn is a realist, knowing what she can change , accepts what she can’t and knows the difference.

I would guess is it you ~ as well that “uses the system” if I remember correctly from your many postings. Which is okay, that’s what it’s for, to use ~ but not to abuse. I am not suggesting either you or Karolyn are abused the system, but you seem to.

Myself, at 63 ~ I am not a part of any system and receive “O” Zero federal , state or city government level funding either private or public. I am helping to support both the wealthy and the poor it seems.

At some point in the future I expect to, but for now I’m very self sustaining and in better health then most.

I do use the public road system however, people seem to get excited as I move about otherwise. I also use the municipal water system for some of my water demands and paid dearly for the access. I have a $247.00 water bill for June on my desk now.

    • Tom Anderson

      Dear Karen,

You are barking up the wrong tree. Of course, ALL that you say is true, but it MUST be true.

Obama’s CIA background and his Mommy’s and GrandMommy’s CIA contacts MUST be protected at all costs. The CIA is simply performing its patriotic duty by obfuscating Obama’s BC and his draft records and academic records etc. Those records can NEVER be disclosed. Every court in the land is under obligation to maintain all of his history as EXTREMELY CONFIDENTIAL.

What more do you need to know?

We will NEVER know the truth about Obama and that is how it should be. To publish any records on a CIA asset is a FEDERAL CRIME!!!

Do you get the message now?

What do YOU think Obama and his Mommy were doing in Pakistan? Starting a Pakistani carpet importing business?

  • Robert A Hirschmann

Great article. Telling it like it is. Now, how do we get rid of him and all his cronies? What can we do to rectify this situation before its too late? Or is it too late already?

      Solution: IMPEACH

      • EVERMYRTLE

US CONGRESSMAN, Impeach or try for treason this imposter, are the only two possibilities. To do this you, our Congressman have grab your courage by the tail and go forth. You need to forget what your possible penalty might be if you fail. We are at the point of “Do or die” You must stand tall and do what is neccessary to stop this villan before he finishes his job off by completely destroying America. You with the help of GOD is our only chance to stay afloat as a country. Remember “WE THE PEOPLE” are behind you all of the way. We can do very little without you and nothing without GOD but we will do what we can. Please stand up for us and our country.

If you didn’t have the cajones to impeach Bush who brought us an increase in immigration, expensive wars,a housing collaspe,Patriot Act,an increase in outsourcing, extreme capitalistic cronyism,an out of control Wall Street, exploitative corporate salaries and a myriad of other false flag liberties taken from us. Then you don’t even have a milk box to stand on in going after Obama.

      • chefboyhowdy

I’ve read a lot of these posts and most are democrats calling Republicans names, but I did here a few who identified the problem and some offered solutions. Evermyrtle brought up impeachment. Well that was my thoughts for a long time, until I read an article on American Patriot Union I think it was called. Anyway I think the title of the article was Why Congress Doesn’t Impeach Obama. If they try to impeach on the birth certificate thing they will have to indite every congressman who knew about it. If that’s not enough, judgements going back to I think was 1867, the trial of Mississippi vs Johnson to the Nixon and Clinton thing, where somewhere in all this mess the president was granted a wide range of immunity because of the nature of his job. I was tired at the time and the article was long filled with legal jargon but what I got out of it was the president will be real hard to impeach and he knows it. Didn’t he claim to have taught Constitutional law at Harvard? Maybe they could go for the Libya thing I don’t know. Maybe there’s some lawyers out there that can shine some light on this.

Demand that the Military follow their Oath to defend the nation against all enemies both foreign and domestic!

      • DaveH

They also swear to obey the commander-in-chief. Which do you think they take more seriously? Witness Libya.

      • Jim

Too true…It seems that far too many of our brothers & sisters in the Armed Forces forget a certain part of their Oath specifies obedience to all LAWFUL orders. In short, each & every serviceman/woman must jusdge the lawfullness of orders coming down the chain of command & are charged also to DISOBEY orders that are not lawful & even follow this concern as far up as it takes to VERIFY or DISAFFIRM the orders as lawful. I know this because I’m a vet of the First Gulf War Era, under Daddy Bush…Even though I’ve not been lawfully obligated to that Oath (since I’m no longer “in office”) for more than 20 years, I still take the Oath seriously.

I have to admit sympathy for those that DO remember their Oath…Witness the imprisonment of Col. Terry Lankin, oustanding career thrown in the dumpster for obeying his Oath of Office.

Has anyone realized that his Marxist/Communist doctrine is virtually the same drivel we hear from the pretender in the White House. Most of the time, I don’t hear any truth, fact, or reality from the POTUS’ speeches. He seems to have gotten his speech training from Idid Amin. I’m sure Amin could have done better with a teleprompter. But the Potus and Amin are similar in their view of themselves. And what their role is. Here is an Amin speech. It reminds me of most of the POTUS speeches. You don’t really know what he is saying, but he thinks his workd are very inportant.

    Memorable Speeche of Idi Amin

After a luncheon hosted by the Queen in London in his honour…..

“Mr Queen, Sir, Horrible Ministers, invented guests, ladies under gentlemen. I thank the Queen very plenty for what he has done to me. I tell you, I have eaten so much that I am now fed up with malicious meal.

Before I continue, I would kindly ask you to open the windows so that the climate may get in plenty. But before I go back I must invert Mr Queen to my country and I can assure you, Mr Queen that when you come, I shall revenge to you. You will eat a full cow and I will work very difficult to make sure that you will come back with a very full stomach.

For now I am sorry that I have just made a short call on you. The next time I will make a long one possible for a full moon. Thank you for letting me undress you in front of all the disgusting people.”

    This followed:

“Ladies and Women, my beloved husbands and men in this general assembly I am thank you very difficult for your kind to forgive me this hour to talk about Africa and my country which is in Uganda. First I am Field MArshal Dr Al Haj Idi Amin Dada the life President of my country I am apologised because I have not deaded Archbishop Jamani Luwum when so many people tell me so many questions about him. His death on my behalf was happened with accident which was in the car when he walked with it. So again let me teach that as far as I am knowing and even the two Ministers all Oboth-Ofumbi and Oryema was all of the two deaded in one of that very accident. So I am not mistake you see.

Another words is for the order in my country in Uganda. The Press Newsmen which you can all look them here will wanted to know the law orders of my country. They have enquiring me many questions on because my policemen don’t catch people in court while they have just them lost them on the way. No this is not the right yet all of them who are catched by my fellow policemen are removed for court. When the court does not find them good enough and tis them with all mistakes beginning from one month to ten years with even above. So we attempt people in court before we die them in prisons and those you understand about them dead are if they travel with care and they don’t find control and miss in the bush where they previously dead themself as my men invent their death. Uganda is a peace loving brother country when people enjoy as is they are in another country. This is the true about one country.

Dr Kurt Waldheim you are very beautiful in one of these husbands. I think you are this beauty to look what is going in South Africa and Rhodesia. I am sending two hours to whites as if they choose freedom to African Brothers or you will not blame me and I take a wondering action to blow them.

Lass of that I am thank your lunch which is smelly good. I am again fed up with it and I have admitted to revenge when bothe of you are invented by Uganda. Thank you very hard an we shall collide everywhere else in internal.”

(When the Queen later asked the journalists present what on earth Amin had said, they replied that it was in a language similar to English, but that was all they could say. Isn’t that exactly what happens after a POTUS speech?).

    • Mutantone

Yes I have and I have been trying to spread the word and even asked others when it became acceptable for Marxist-Communist to hold office in congress. You have to know they lied when they took the Oath of office requires them to uphold the Constitution

Of course, being evil yourself, you aren’t capable of understanding the problem that decent people have with satan Jr. (aka maobama).

      • Karolyn

Well, I am not evil; and there’s no such thing as satan!

  • Bob

I saw this coming and began referring to maobama as “President For Life” a long time ago. The fact is, democrats are tyrants who use the parasites of this country as a power base. We have become a “parisitocracy+ – a nation run by a government “of the parasites, by the parasites, and for the parasites”. Our future is the future of Detroit and other such scumocrat run cesspools. Of course, we are as much to blame as anyone – we stood by as the parasites infiltrated the media, the schools, the judicial system and the government. We allowed the parasites to build the welfare system to feed the worthless and we allowed the parasites to build a huge government infrastructure to provide jobs for parasites. The Republicans had a couple of chances to dismantle the parasite feeding and breeding apparatus but they lacked the will to so. Unfortunately, just removing “His Malignancy” from office isn’t going to help much; we need a top to bottom purge of the parasites in this country or we are going to fall in to a new Dark Ages.

    • trish

      Well said Bob.

Hi Bob ([post from 7:21 am)

Too bad you can’t hear me clapping. Your comments were well said. I’ve been saying the same thing since Bush set forth the stimulus package. If our government would have really wanted to help “we the people,” the checks would have gone out to the adult citizens of the US who have been paying their taxes for years. Instead they bailed out the irresponsible banks and cronies. That was a real eye opener for me to the actions of both parties. I am now a Constitutiotnalist. The dems want our country in their pocket and the republicans, even when in control, back away from their responsibilities. In 2012, let’s flip this government.

Thank you for the new nick name. I really like “maobama.” It really fits well.

      • Jim

        “I am now a Constitutiotnalist.”

I agree entirely. The “two-party” system goes towards the same goals & always has. Upon taking the lawfully-binding Oath of Office that all State & Federal Officers MUST before assuming Office, that’s the point where there’s NO ROOM for Democrats or Republicans…The Oath demands “upholding the Constitution,” therefore all government officers are BOUND BY LAW to become Constitutionalists.

I’ve heard of an accurate description of Politics as “The Art of Compromise,” but there’s no room under our Laws to compromise the Constitution. Basically, this goes to show that there’s too many “politicians” in government, when we need STATESMEN (& women).

      • http://Moreexpensive,moreunknowproblems. Lewis Munn

        Amen.

But with what our Schools teach, from the bottom up, where we gonna find
any honest men who know what the Constitution says?

We already have a closet homosexual for a President, judging where he hangs out!

And how much longer until the Liberals sell us, kids and all, to the UN???

    • professor

The parasites of this country (the useless,) will be the first to be eliminated, once an Imperial government should ever succeed!

The parasites vote for their own demise!

      • http://Moreexpensive,moreunknowproblems. Lewis Munn

Minor exception. Those of us who are still basically OK in health and who have learned a lot about politics, will be among the first to be purged and made into chickenfeed.

Many of us know enough to be quite dangerous!

When we all vanish, the Liberals need to look out for their own necks!

    • Larry

Amen Bob. Well stated and, the truth.

    • Rico

      I second the motion!

  • bsfurg

what will happen if this wont work and it just sets us back even more and then we pay more on the interest… can we trust obama and this congress.. I dont think so but then how many ppl in america re paying attention..

  • Jim

it is our own fault we continually elect COWARDS to our house and senate they appoint COWARDS to our state and federal courts who dispense the justice of the COWARDS who put them in power

    • DaveH

Are they really cowards, Jim, or are they misrepresenting themselves? Those positions of power are very intoxicating. It takes a strong, principled man to resist, such as Ron or Rand Paul, or a handful of other Freedom-loving politicians. We need to pay attention to what they do, not what they say.

  • bsfurg

I cantnot believe that one man who may not even be legal president and his crooks are going to take america down..where are the ppl of america… I do know not enough of americans know what is really going on.. they dont know that in the next 3 weeks obama can destroy america by getting more money to waste like he did the stimulus.. they have no idea where that money went and no one seems to care… we will be paying more money on interest that if congress know how to spend money could be used to pay bills with out borrowing.

Tried that writing, e-mail and calling my congressman. It doesn’t work. I think that I have a relatively good congressman, problem is, most, if not all the correspondence that I send never reaches the congressman—-too many middlemen,(or women), with their own agenda that get to decide what the congressman actually receives. Last time I called the local congressional office that screens my correspondence to Randy Forbes, they told me that they haven’t received any mail from me since 2007. I have probably sent at least a hundred during that time, mostly critical of Forbes and his actions. He never saw them. No way to say that I have an opinion at all. Can’t wait for the opportunity to tell him face to face what a screwed up organization on the local level that he has. Ray Mason

      • DaveH

They very obviously still do fear the voters. You can see that in their actions. When they lie, for instance, they are doing so because they fear the voters. Obama spending all his time campaigning around the country is another good indication of fear of the voters.
Probably the most effective use of our time is to inform our friends and relatives of things they may not know. I think informative book suggestions can’t be beat when it comes to effective communication. There are many out there that expose Government for what it really is.

Thanks for the A to Z list of Obama atrocities. Unbenounced to his faithful followers, he’s leading us across bridges that he plans to burn.

Does anyone still believe writing letters to your congressman or casting ballots will ever fix the pickle we’re in? Oh woe is us.

Unused muscles tend to atrophy, so too will the 2nd ammendment.
Best use it before we lose it.

    • http://n/a Anna M

You hit a nerve ‘..writing letters to our congressman’. My district is served by two of the most liberal senators and our congressman is more liberal than them; so what’s the point?? However, if none of us who want our voices heard, albeit our ‘representatives’ are liberal and follow Obama like sheep, we descend into apathy. Apathy will destroy this nation; we can see it already. NOT ENOUGH PEOPLE FORCING THE ISSUES AND DEMANDING WE BE TAKEN SERIOUSLY. If not, the majority of the people will rule if we IMPEACH. I don’t believe the 2012 vote will be honest.

      • JUKEBOX

      • Evermyrtle

I believe that most conservatives have written letters signed hundreds of petitions and sent hundeds of emails and feel like they ended in the trash with one eye glancing at them. I wonder!!!!

      • Ret

Agree. If I had a penny for every letter, e-mail, telephone call, etc, I’d be rich right now. Most, including the bummer, don’t even bother to send auto-generated responses. The vote is almost a joke: between the illegals, dead, animals, computer ‘glitches’, voting and the lazy non-voters, I doubt that the vote will be the will of the people. I’ll vote anyway.

      • DaveH

No doubt there are fraudulent vote counts out there, but the major problem is that so many people have become dependent on Government for their incomes that they are blinded to reality. The polls support that.
Can we turn them around? Many of them are too fixated on the trough to want to learn the truth. But I think it’s possible.
The first order of the day is to work hard to get our children away from the propaganda schools and into schools where they can really learn useful skills. But the forces against that are very powerful. Take Voucher systems. They are a great concept, but we need to be careful that what they offer is Educational Choice, not just School Choice. If the Government sets the curriculum, the choice of schools is just a red-herring. See here:
        http://www.cato.org/pub_display.php?pub_id=13078

      • American Citizen

I agree, parents need to get more involved in their children’s education. They need to read the books their children bring home and protest anything they see that is wrong, whether it’s distorted history (if they themselves know any) or just one point of view. They need to question what their children heard in class. The old, “How was school today?” doesn’t mean anything. Direct questions are what are necessary.

      • JUKEBOX

Cut them off the government teat, and see how quick they will turn on their favorite politician.

      • independant thinker

“…….but the major problem is that so many people have become dependent on Government for their incomes that they are blinded to reality.”

I am not sure that is the primary cause. There are to many that vote the party because they have always voted that way. There are to many that vote the way their boss or union says because they don’t want to think for themselves. There are to many that vote for the incumbant simply because he/she is the incumbant.

      • http://Moreexpensive,moreunknowproblems. Lewis Munn

I agree. But the problem has been long term. I recall in my little home town 50 long years ago, a reform candidate had 1000 people who were willing to sign an affidavit they had voted for him, and only 10 votes were counted! The candidate was told it would require a $10,000 fee to recount! And all the ballots had been destroyed anyhow!

And we have Nevada, where the computers had to be repaired while voting was in progress in order to elect the liberals…who seemed to be losing until the union “fixed” the computers.

      • jim

it sounds like you are from nj. if not God help you, for in nj that is all we have and the majority follow in lockstep.

      • DaveH

Then give the Libertarians your support. They are the only party that champions Freedom on their platform. The others only give it lip-service and then promote anti-freedom agendas.
The Military Statists are taking advantage of our naivete, and the Welfare Statists are taking advantage of our naivete. They both use their propaganda techniques to buy votes, grow their power, and aid their favorite Crony Capitalists.
Sending our military on excursions around the world to bring “democracy” to other countries is not exercising “Freedom”. And they certainly aren’t protecting our Freedom by pissing people off around the world. Some day, like it did to all the great empires, those pushy actions will come back to bite us. So far, over the last 150 years, the Government has posed more of a threat to our Freedom than any outside attackers.
And the welfare statists build their power by deluding people into thinking there is a free lunch. There is no such thing. They must take money from the producers to give to the non-producers. That has not and will not ever bring prosperity to those countries who try it. I suspect that the politicians know that and are just brazenly buying votes.
We need to push our country back to the kind of Freedom that wise well-read founders like Jefferson advocated. The kind of Freedom that was under attack almost as soon as our country began by those who wanted the same kind of system (mercantilism) that our forefathers fought and died to prevent in America.
There is only one political party that offers that. For Individual Liberty, Personal Responsibility, Free Markets, Limited Government (at all levels), and PEACE — Vote Libertarian!

        DaveH,
No doubt Ron Paul and Jon Huntsman are the real deal, but can they win? In a political atmosphere where only cheaters win, will they step up to the plate, and cheat as well? And if they did, are they the candidate we desire?

There’s a reason for Obama’s boldness, the left and right halves of the Bilderberg Party Progressives have all the bases covered. With 100 plus years of planning, coniving and sucessful placement of detention facilities for the condemned masses and security infrustructure for the elite in place, has brought them to the point where they are actively soliciting an insurgency, provoking a sought after reaction which would provide the neccesary justification for a Soviet style tamp down of the trouble makers. Like a man poking a dog with a stick with one hand, while concealing a loaded hand gun behind his back with the other.

As a result, I feel they are to entrenched, their contengencies to plentiful, their resources unfathomable. No, it’s time to face the facts, Charlie’s inside the wire, we’ve got Gooks in the perimeter. Time to make the call… “BROKEN ARROW”

And may God have mercy on us.

      • DaveH

They can’t win until people quit worrying if they can win. We need to build their numbers. As the party attracts more voters, more people will look into it, and the numbers will grow larger. It’s just a matter of time (maybe short as you say) before the economy crashes to the point where the voters will be wishing they had voted Libertarian. Let’s quit wishing and take action.
Look how Ron Paul has built an almost fanatical following. The momentum is in our favor.

      • DaveH

My feeling about Jon Huntsman is that he’s a pig in a poke. I couldn’t even find his issues page on his own website, jon2012.com.
My lowly representative has an issues page. Is he hiding something? For instance, I don’t care for Herman Cain’s agenda, but he is not afraid to tell us what it is. I give him credit for that honesty.

      • professor

Yes, half of the nation is…apathetic! These are the people that feel they have everything “to gain” by keeping the Imperial Administration in power. It is the 43% that does not work or pay taxes. These are the people that have their hands held out for more of the same, “redistribution of wealth!”

Then, add the illegals that this administration allows to flood across our borders! These are the people from many countries that come to “settle” America! They come to make changes not unlike the changes that the White House wants to make! Americans, imagine a country where you no longer have the majority vote!

      • Karolyn

“It is the 43% that does not work or pay taxes.”

I think the wealthy should be included in what you said. They have everything to gain from keeping things the way they are.

      • JUKEBOX

How many poor people have ever given you a decent job?

      • professor

Karolyn, the “wealthy” (those making over $250K/year) have nothing to gain from the Imperial Administration! They have everything to lose!

This Administration hates capitalism, personal wealth, and the idea of private property! They believe everything should belong to the “State,” and it will if they are not stopped!

      • Karolyn

Jukebox – I responded to this the other day. I have been employed by poor people, both in sole proprietorships and for nonprofits. I have never been money-hungry; and therfore, worked at jobs where I could be comfortable, have fun and do something meaningful, while not making a lot of money

      • Jeep

Karolyn’s opinion is tainted…she’s a self-admitted “trough feeder”. And, to prove a point, she would vote for any “raise” in freebies from the govt. After all, she plans to take all she can.

      • Larry

I’ll bet you’re opne of the 43% aren’t you Karolyn?

      • eddie47d

You’re crazier than a fox too Jeep! What a silly attack on karolyn. Too make it clear earlier I do not approve of Clinton’s womanizing or any other man doing it. I also don’t like anyone being ambushed over personal sexual matters except the immediate family. It is solely up to the spouse to handle the situation not the media or the public.Republicans and Democrats love sexual sensationalism yet it seems like the Republicans yearn for it more in running to the media.

      • Jeep

eddie, I am so glad you are there to defend karolyn’s honor. However, you may not know of that which you are so quick to judge. I was referring to other exchanges I have had with karolyn. Try to keep up. The “attack” you mention would only be negative if it were baseless. My comment is soldily based on a conversation with karolyn a while ago in which she admitted to taking govt handouts. If you feed from the trough, then you are part of the problem.

      • DaveH

Actually, some of the wealthy do like the status quo. Those who use Government to stifle their smaller competitors are indeed a problem. But to lump all wealthy together is just plain wrong, Karolyn.
As usual, the main problem, even with the Crony Capitalists, is that we’ve allowed the Government to get involved with the economy. Once Government is involved with the economy, it is inevitable for them to work with certain Big Businesses to support them with taxpayer money and stifle their competitors. The question is, can we put the genie back in the bottle?

      • Karolyn

And, Jeff, as I have said before (in different words). When someone is drowning, they most certainly will grab the first hand he can reach. I was drowning and gratefully accepted what was granted to me.

      • JeffH

        Jeff?

      • DaveH

        Karolyn,
I don’t care who you work for. I do care who you vote for, though, because that affects everybody’s lives. I do wish you would think more about the morality of those peoples’ agendas.

Facsism is what Obama is practicing right now. That is what crony capitalism is. Why do you bother posting on this site. Your diatribes are nonsensical.

      • Jeep

Since Fascists embrace “right-wing” philosophy, and the definition of that philosophy is opposition to extensive political reform, does it not follow that you are the Fascist? I believe you are in favor of the current political governing, and would not want extensive reform. So, I guess you are a Fascist, eddie!

      • Bob

Let us remember that Fascists are on the left by definition. The left is for big government. The right wants limited government. The Nazis, who were Fascists, were the National Socialist party. They were not on the right. They were on the left.

      • eddie47d

Jeep has totally fallen off the banana wagon. Put some ice on that concussion! I’ve been battling political reform and financial reform for decades and it’s always the Republicans who are against making our political and financial institutions accountable. They Plain and Simple don’t want it.

      • Jeep

eddie, your political stripes are more fluid than a bottle of mercury. Do you always just blurt out the first thing to come to mind? Let’s be clear, you like big govt take over and a nanny state, I like small govt that is Constitutional. Clear enough?

I believe Obama WILL be re-elected in 2012 regardless of the actual vote count. Voter fraud got him elected in 2008; fraud will get him re-elected in 2012. The fraud that occured in 2008 was just a test run for 2012: Fraud will be present again in 2012, but in greater number. It will also be better hidden. Even if fraud is detected nothing will happen. Obama and Holder will not allow prosecution (Remember the New Black Panthers?).

      • http://Moreexpensive,moreunknowproblems. Lewis Munn

I tend to agree. Unless we can get some honest computer programmers and repairmen and poll watchers to be sure it is only the qualified who vote, and that the computers are programmed for honest vote counting.

Then all we would have to fight is the disinformation put out by the Liberal Media!

      • Rico

Agreed, writing to some Congressman may work but I live in the People’s Republic of Massachusetts. Writing to our Congressman is a waste of time, paper, ink and postage. Here they have even nullified my future vote for presifent by circumventingthe Electoral College. All the electoral votes go to the “popular vote winner”. The government here hates the “fly-over states”. Damn them all to Hell.

Same here, all the people elected to office are demoncrats. That is why our state is in big trouble too, just like the no longer Federal government. What a waste of taxpayers’ money. And they keep getting re-elected. I think fraud and ignorant voters are the culprits.

      Michael J.

I wrote this comment to another article/discussion on the “Light Bulb” issue but it has a lot of what is being discussed here so I am copying and pasting it here.

We have a “Federal Government” that is NOT representive of “WE THE PEOPLE”. This “Agency” continues to create, make, pass laws that increase the imposition on “WE THE PEOPLE”, (their bosses). HOW did this country survive over 230 years withOUT all these laws? How were we, the voters, the workers, tax payers, the people of the United States, THEIR BOSSES who they are suppose to represent, be so successful that we have become the greatest country on earth?

We now have a “Federal Government” that has become so invasive, so powerful as to tell us what we, “Their Bosses”, are allowed to do. We have this “Agency” that is SUPPOSE to represent us but believes IT is in control and we are their minions to do to us as they please. We have this “Important Group” deciding what money’s we can earn, keep and save, what taxes we must pay, what motor vehicles we must buy and drive, what fuel we are to use, what food we are to eat and how much, WHAT LIGHT BULBS WE MUST BUY AND USE. They are already pushing to decide how many pieces of TOILET PAPER we need to use. Will they come out with a law on picking your nose and that if you do that in public, you can be arrested and thrown in jail?!?!?!

Instead of worrying about what Bruce and Wayne, two grown and consenting adults are doing in private, maybe they should be more concerned with how this country is being sold down the river by the Muslim-In-Chief and our position in the world. I believe these politician have WAY TOO MUCH TIME on their hands. AT WHAT POINT will the people wake up and say enough is enough? Maybe they need to be retired and we start all over again.

      Additional point:
This country is suppose to have a government “OF the people, BY the people and FOR the people”. I think it should be considered a contradiction, when THE PEOPLE, who are “In Charge” (Government OF the PEOPLE), have no say, when their REPRESENTATIVES, just plain ignoring what “Their Bosses” want. How long would an employee in the workplace last, if that employee, just did what they pleased, disregarding what their employer hired them to do?

  • s c

Quite an article, Bob. In defense of the new dictator [not really], it sounds as though he’s in charge of protecting family blood lines [ref. Caesar, Caligula, Nero, Domitian, Stalin, Lenin, Marx, Mao, etc.].
Bummer’s jockstrappers will once again rise to the occasion (almost sounds phallic), and protect the fledgling dictator, regardless of what he says, does or thinks. Consider the perp, and consider his jockstrappers. Consider freedom, and what it will take to root out and get rid of his negative influences on America.

No, we are not. We may have to go through Nuclear Devestation. Millions of Americans will die, but we. Will. PERSEVERE! Our country will bounce back, we will defeat our enemies. And we will have the most qualified Man for governing us at the head of our Armies and at the head of our Government.

This Man is a god of war. He stated it himself. He will cause all people to return to their own country. Blacks will return to Africa, the Chinese will return to China. Yisrael will inherit both America and Israel. The descendants of Ashekenaz and Togarmah will return to the lands of their Fathers.

This Man does not beat about the bush. He does not excuse himself for his unpopular, unpolitically correct, but very eloquent speech. This Man is the husband of Israel. He is going to have his Kingdom, even if he has to pry it from Obama’s cold, dead fingers.

      • Jim

What a load of BS. Obama DID go to the UN, first & foremost. When the UN told Obama to invade Syria, he did so with out ever even acknowledging the EXISTANCE of Congress, let alone their warmaking Power under the Constitution at all.

Even the War Powers Act gave Obama 60 days to address Congress & gain either their official approval or official declaration of war, otherwise pull out…Obama waited until the very last moment to ask Congress, failed to get Congressional approval (by using feeble excuses like, “we’re not really engaging in “hostilities” even as our bombs were dropping & “forward inertial effectgs”) & then proceeded to IGNORE Congress’ refusal altogether.

      • JUKEBOX

For those unacquainted with Communism’s 45 Steps, I strongly advise that you study them. Many have already been accomplished. America has just elected a president who has more in common with communism than he does with America. If you love this country, fight to make sure Obama and his bots do not fulfill these steps. It is a fight too many of us are too late engaging in, but it ain’t over yet.

Jim, I suggest you go to this link and see what is happening to our country. Wake up! Don’t be a tool.
        http://roadsassy.com/communisms-45-steps/
        Here’s a taste:
        13. Do away with all loyalty oaths.

        15. Capture one or both of the political parties in the United States.

        17. Get control of the schools. Use them as transmission belts for socialism and current Communist propaganda. Soften the curriculum. Get control of teachers’ associations. Put the party line in textbooks.

        24. Eliminate all laws governing obscenity by calling them “censorship” and a violation of free speech and free press.

        25. Break down cultural standards of morality by promoting pornography and obscenity in books, magazines, motion pictures, radio, and TV.

        26. Present homosexuality, degeneracy and promiscuity as “normal, natural, healthy.”

        27. Infiltrate the churches and replace revealed religion with “social” religion. Discredit the Bible and emphasize the need for intellectual maturity which does not need a “religious crutch.”

        28. Eliminate prayer or any phase of religious expression in the schools on the ground that it violates the principle of “separation of church and state.”

        29. Discredit the American Constitution by calling it inadequate, old-fashioned, out of step with modern needs, a hindrance to cooperation between nations on a worldwide basis.

        30. Discredit the American Founding Fathers. Present them as selfish aristocrats who had no concern for the “common man.”

        31. Belittle all forms of American culture and discourage the teaching of American history on the ground that it was only a minor part of the “big picture.” Give more emphasis to Russian history since the Communists took over.

        36. Infiltrate and gain control of more unions.

        37. Infiltrate and gain control of big business.

        38. Transfer some of the powers of arrest from the police to social agencies. Treat all behavioral problems as psychiatric disorders which no one but psychiatrists can understand [or treat].

        40. Discredit the family as an institution. Encourage promiscuity and easy divorce.

If this doesn’t convince of the control the government already has over us, then you are truly lost.

      • Rico

And apparently it’s been working very well according to the Architects of Control’s blueprint. If we were united as one super powerful human entity none of this orchestrated BS would be going on in our lives to day. The reason it is, we’re too busy rooting for one side or another (just like a football game) hoping your side will win. We need to wake up to this nonsense of a 2 party system and realize it’s getting us nowhere. Just ask yourselves this question: Does it matter who gets in office? No it doesn’t because if it did, things getting better instead of worst. They’re all puppets on a string being control by the puppeteer (Controlling Elite, Globalist, etc). None of what the puppets say in their campaign political rhetoric (lies) ever materializes as the say it will. Wake up people! Jeff the mistrial was declared because of a prosecutors error in letting some in-admissable evidence be shown to the jury.

Thanks for the site.I’m in the middle of a lighting storm and its playing hell with down loading so I will down load it in the morning. That really looks interesting and so dose the CD’s cant wait to start listening to it.

      • Al Sieber

Well Dan, send that that lighting, and rain this way we need it.

      • Kate 8

Al – Check out the site I posted to Dan az. Horn goes into Pike’s teachings in his books.

His work is really eye-opening. I thought I had a pretty good idea of what was going on, but I had no idea things had gone this far!

BTW, hope you get some rain. We’ve had really weird weather here this year…abnormally cool and breezy. It feels odd.

        Al
I don’t think you would like it,it drops the temp down 20 deg.You would probably have to wear a coat! :)
Kate there is so much on this site that even I didn’t know about.Good catch! ;)

that’s the only qualification to be a politician be the best liar you can be. no need to go to college just hang with the right people to get your foot in the door. that’s what obama did and it works.

    • Old Henry

Yeah DaveH, I remember that moron’s malaise speech. I almost shot my TV that night.

Those peas don’t taste too good when they are covered with a generous helping of Obama’s bovine fesces.

Oh, boy, you stepped in it now, Bob. Here comes Vigilant. :)

    • Vigilant

Not to worry, Dave. I just unsubscribed.

Lie all you want now. I’ll not be here to read it. Bye.

      P.S. Kiss mine.

      • DaveH

        Good riddance.

We the American people are under internal attack from Progressive/Socialist Marxist fifth colum, they disguise themsleves as dogooder’s for environment and social justice, when in truth they seek unbridled power and control over our lives.

They would kill billions all over the world to create a so-call utopian world, with them as supreme leaders and the surviving human race as abject slaves to a world wide totalitarian regime of nightmarish qualities.

They lie, have always lied, because the end justifys the means.

This person, that occupies the Oval Office today, has never accomplished anything except destruction of the American way of life. I look for him to declare martial law sometime before the 2012 election.

I AM NOT SURE WHY OR HOW WE HAVE LET THESE DICTATORS, LIARS, AND PRETENTDERS GET VOTED INTO OFFICE. I BELIEVE IT HASN’T ALL BEEN A TRUE VOTING SYSTEM. I KNEW IMMEDIATELY HE WAS THIS WAY “BEFORE” WE EVEN VOTED!
PEOPLE ARE IN SOME KIND OF “STUPOR”! THEY REFUSE OR ELSE IT’S THE STINKING MEDIA THAT HAS LET THIS HAPPEN.
NOW-WHAT CAN WE DO? ALL I HAVE IS MUCH PRAYER, FOR GOD HAS CAUSED MANY ENEMIES TO RUN INTO “CONFUSION” OR TO END UP FIGHTING EACH OTHER. SO IF YOU KNOW HOW TO PRAY OR WHATEVER WE CAN DO,I AM HERE. I HAVE SENT THIS REPORT TO ALL THE PEOPLE I KNOW (AND I DON’T KNOW MANY FOR I’VE BEEN DOWN WITH MY BACK SURGERIES & I WILL STILL HOLD NOT TO RAISE THE DEBT CEILING FOR “ANY” REASON, EVEN THO I WILL BE ONE THAT MAY NOT MAKE IT IF HE DECIDES TO WITH HOLD MONEY ON PURPOSE. HE JUST WILL NOT SIGN ANYTHING THAT COULD HOLD THIS BACK A FEW MOONTHS WHILE THEY CUT STUPID THINGS HE HAS CAUSED AND I AM EXTREMELY SHOCKED ABOUT BUSH, BUT I DID NOTICE DURING HIS LAST PART OF HIS PRESIDENCY-HE STARTED THROWING MONEY ALSO AND I WAS WONDERING WHAT IN THE WORLD IS GOING ON THEN! AND IF HE TRIED TO SAY THESE ARE “RACISTS” THAT IS BULL TOO BECAUSE HERMAN CAIN HAS SOME GREAT IDEAS, I ONLY HOPE HE IS TRUE TOO! BUT HE WANTS A STRAIGHT ACROSS THE BOARD TAX-WHICH WOULD ELIMINATE THE RICH’S LOOPHOLES AND WOULS GET RID OF IRS! YOU KNOW IN THE HEALTH CARE BILL, HE HIRES 116,000 MORE IRS-DON’T YOU? NOW I AM FINDING OUT THERE IS A BILL CALLED HR3200 OR CLOSE TO THAT AND A MAN SENT IT BY PDR THAT BY 2013 WE SHOULD ALL HAVE AN “IMPLANT” FOR IDENTIFYING US! YEA, IT LOOKS LIKW A SWEET THING NOW BUT IT IS FOR HORROR LATER. THEN WE HAVE PELOSI GIVING AWAY CERTIFICATES TO FRIENDS AND CO-OPS TO KEEP THEM FROM HAVING TO TAKE THIS STUPID HEALTH CARE BILL AND SO MUCH MORE. MANY EXPERTS HAVE SEEN THIS MAN’S SO CALLED BIRTH CERT.WAS TAKEN APART AND IT HAD 9 DIFFERENT LAYERS AND THEY SAY IT IS SO VERY OBVIOUS IT IS A FAKE BUT WHY WE AREN’T PERSUING THESE THINGS, IS BEYOND ME! VAN JONES WAS WITH THE PRES. UNTIL HE WAS FOUND TO BE A COMMUNIST, SO HE HAD TO STEP DOWN BUT HE WAS ONA VIDEO AND HE SAID THIS: THAT “WE” WILL TAKE DOWN AMERICA AND EVEN THE “MILITARY”! IF “WE” HAVE TO! MAYBE NOT PAYING THEM IS WXACTLY WHAT HE IS PLANNING OR GOD KNOWS HOW. I SAW THIS VIDEO ON GLENN BECK’S PROGRAM. GOD BLESS AMERICA AND “SEMPER FI” I FEEL WE CAN’T WAIT UNTIL RE-ELECTION. THIS IS COMING TO A HEAD AND I PRAY OUR MILITARY IS VERY WISE.

      • Old Henry

Well said FreedomFighter, but lest we forget – God Almighty is still in charge.

I have to CONSTANTLY remind myself of that fact. We himans are small-minded beings and have so much trouble conceiving that fact. I fear that God is no longer on the side of the United States, and why should He?

Your GOP policies mainly got us right here and now … are you happy with that? Progressive policies created the largest middle class in world until you clown right-wingers brought them down and thus the country down. You dupes destroyed your own interests and still don’t know it.

      • Karolyn

Old Henry – God (The Universe) is ALWAYS on EVERYBODY’S side! America is no more special than any other country. Where did everybody get the idea that because we are Americans, we are better or more favored than the rest of humanity? Such arrogance!

      • Push comes to shove

        Jukebox,
We will know by Nov 11, 2012 if he is re-elected, if he is matial law will not come until his second term is almost up (Dec 12, 2016) or the american people rebel. If he loses the election he will declare martial law on Dec 12, 2012. The date sound familiar.

        Karloyn,
What a maroon, the arrogance is on your part, America has been better (until 1988 whence came the first Bush, then Clinton,Bush and now the anti-christ). We were, and i mean were, the last bastian of freedom.

Am i arrogant, maybe, but i know what is coming if not now then only a little later.

        “To conquer, first divide!”

Actually, ole Bob did step in it, conveniently omitting those pesky
Articles of Confederation……..because if you’re going to make the
argument against anything……the original fear was in regards to a
“strong CENTRAL government” and not worrying about branches which did not exist in any form resembling that which emerged in 1787.

“Lies have always been regarded as necessary and justifiable tools not
only ot the politician’s and demagogue’s but also of the stateman’s trade. Why is that so? And what does it mean for the nature and the dignity of the political realm on one side, and for the nature and the dignity of truth and truthfulness, on the other? Is it the very
essence of truth to be impotent and the very essence of power to be deceitful? And what kind of reality does truth possess if it is powerless in the public realm?” Hanna Arendt

Consider the current debate that is underway in never, never land and
the goals being considered…..where the BIG DEAL is a 4 trillion
funny money deficit reduction plan over ten years.

Now we add ole Bob’s recent co-sponsored doom and gloom offering to
profit from the impending 2011/12 financial collapse which states that
this year’s deficit is 1.7 trillion.

If the DEBT is the problem, deficit reduction is NOT a solution, anymore than the past mirage of “cuts in the increase of spending”
        were not cuts in spending.

The FINAL COLLAPSE will not occur, except by accident……because the TRUTH here is that it has already taken place…….but that which would make the TRUTH a reality……is being prevented by smoke
and mirrors and this will continue because no one benefits……
especially those who are considerably more well off……

The other TRUTH which is fighting to emerge is the mythology of economic growth……..and we have already passed that, since for the
developed nations, recent recessions have rebounded with jobless
recoveries, extreme income disparities and the one we are in now offers the choice of edging toward the precipice of the FINAL COLLAPSE
or a complete restructuring of the meaning of civilization, itself.

Unfortunately, the awareness of this latter TRUTH is limited in it’s exposure……while the evidence for it continues to mount……

What is occuring in this country is classic distraction….and sites
like this are reflections of it…..”Less filling! Tastes Great!”
The Annual BUD Bowl! Or even more contemporary crap from an oil company whose tag line is “You’d be surprised what we can agree on.”
or by comparison, the “interpretation” of the MANDATE implied by
        that last election results.

Are the founding documents useful in assisting us “restore” this experiment to the path of it’s original intent? Possibly, but they
must be taken in their entirety and not conveniently edited for
personal tastes…….and secondly it must be realised by all affected
that despite the efforts of those who attempted to avoid what are the
frailities of being human, the result has been a failure for we have
actually arrived at the place which all initial efforts were directed
at preventing and have been here for some time, so much so, that
any expectation of the solution to emerge from those being asked to
        provide it, is absurd.

The TRUTH here, is relatively simple……the failure here is not
one of the design…..but the corruption of that design over time.
The chief component of this can be simply rendered…..

“Keep your friends close but keep your enemies closer.” Michael Corleone; Mario Puzo ( The Godfather )

To state this in an historical sense, with regard to the founding
principles of the design, to guarantee the right of redress of grievances…….one must ensure that any system so constructed
does not result in an outcome where the aggrieved party, finds oneself
petitioning the source of that grievance, with any realistic expectation of a just outcome.

My apologies for this interruption, feel free to resume whatever it is that you were doing.

“Do not ask for whom the bell tolls………..”

For whom does the bell tole, it toles for thee. politicians.

      • JC

        Good points.
But keep in mind, that the strong central government you refer to is owned and operated by an all powerful central bank.

Two of the 10 planks of the communist manifesto…right there.

      • patrick H.T. paine

        “To conquer, first divide.”

My reference to a strong central government, was that it was the FEAR
expressed by the Articles of Confederation, which required unanimous
consent of every state for federal action.

This precedes any fears that arose from the constitutional dabates about fears assigned to any particular branch of government……so if one is going to attempt to bring a consistant analysis regarding the “intent” of the founding documents, omission of the Articles is rather foolish, especially if one’s point is that constitutional powers are limited to those enumerated?

It was this fear that made the articles unworkable, and it was this FEAR that was realised, after they were abandoned……anyone who
claims that the constitution is a living breathing document, can not support any such interpretative attempt, if they have to account for
the Articles…….which explains why they are skipped over at every
        opportunity.

        Is this any clearer, sir?

“Do not ask for whom the bell tolls………”

First off, Czar is mostly media lingo, and not an official title. Bob knows this I just do not understand why he does not let us in on the secret Of the once 32 positions of czar only eight were Obama appointed, unconfirmed. The rest were Bush czars. Where were the cries when congress abdicated to His majesty Bush? Gun sales have increased since Obama was elected and he has pushed no laws to ban them. He was for reinstating the assault weapons ban. The real heyday of the czar came during His majesty George W. Bush administration. Come on guys. Birthers and liars beware.

Certain issues can give everyone a brain tumor(now have at it you all). The jest of Bob’s article was pretty good if he could eliminate all the hype in trying to poke as many people in the eye as possible. Saying the TSA is out to “ogle naked photographs” is odd but only if you have a fetish for X-rays.

      • Kate 8

Vigilant – I, for one, will be sorry to see you leave.

We can’t all agree on everything, and shouldn’t expect to. I’ve never formed an opinion one way or another because I have too much other stuff to read about that has far more impact than focusing on someone who died a long time ago. Even though Lincoln probably did a lot of damage, we can’t go back and change it now, just as we can’t change what other past POTUS’s have done. What we need to put energy into is finding a way to restore our nation here and now.

I hope you come back when you are ready.

        Godspeed.

      • DaveH

The main point, Kate, is that the Lincoln revelations are a huge eye-opener to the amount of propaganda that we have all suffered at the hands of the MSM and our educational system. How can we possibly learn from our countrymen’s past mistakes when most of us haven’t even been taught what they really were?

      • http://moses.vemma.com Moses

Want to see what the difference is between the current American History books, and the same books I learned American History from? The book I had in High school measured three and 3/4 inches thick. The current American History book, from a current High school class, is not over one and 1/4 inches thick; including covers. These two books were published by the same publishing company. Makes one wonder what is being left out of American History, doesn’t it? Makes me wonder who is giving the orders to the publishing company, to make the books thinner; as in what is being left out.
I personally believe, that if President Obama does take the radical step to establish his control over this country, there will be a revolt by the citizens of this country; resulting in a blood bath which will make WWI, WWII, Korea, and Viet Nam, look like a Sunday school picnic.
As I see it, the FBI should make the attempt to arrest and detain Mr. Obama, for being an “Illegal Alien occupying the highest office of the land”. The US Senate should actively work to IMPEACH Obama, and throw him in jail for his unAmerican Activities.
When the election time comes around, in 2012, I will not be voting for Obama. Not sure who will get my vote, but it won’t be Obama.

      • Carlucci

I’ll also miss Vigilant. Hope he’ll return to our board.

Moderates or conservatives should listen to ‘all’ sides. ‘Vigilant’ is apparently closed-minded. Too bad. I like the whole story, especially the part about Obama being born “without the United States”… , yes, that is the proper phrase. That also pertains to federal statutes. They can be enforced “within the United States,” but not without… That is called Jurisdiction.
Birthplace begs the question – WHY does the Federal Elections Commission ‘not require’ absolute proof of US citizenship before getting on the Ballot !! Hmmm.
***We need VOTER RECALL in this country badly, and we need it at the local, State, and Fed level.
Our elitist BureauRats are totally out of control. I am sure I could write page after page. I yield the cyberspace to Bob.

      • http://www.GunsOfOld.com Grammy_4_Freedom

To Marc: You are quite right–we DO need a voter recall. Livingston’s quote from old is correct–the three branches of government ARE colluding against the American people, and there is no mechanism in the Constitution for us to address this, or get ODumber out of office if Congress won’t do it, and Congress has proven remarkably gutless in this regard, despite his trampling the Constitution underfoot every day since he has been in office.

Elections have become such a rigged system to keep incumbents in office that we cannot fix it simply by voting in regular elections. Even if we succeed in dumping Odumber out of office in 2012 (assuming there will BE a 2012 election, which the way things are going, I seriously doubt), there is no guarantee our do-nothing Congress will undo all the pernicious legislation he has rammed through buried in other bills, passed behind closed door and in the dead of night, etc.

The traitorous “mainstream media” is already hard at work choosing the next Republican nominee. They annointed Romney early on as the “frontrunner” and will simply ignore to death anybody who is not aleady OWNED by the special interests, multinational corporations, Wall Street, etc. They want Romney because, just in case there actually IS an election, they know he cannot win. The trouble is, Conservatives fly off in all directions, being the independent souls they are, and vote accordingly, while the Liberals and Communists vote as a bloc–that is how we GOT Odumber in the first place!

And now that we have GOT him, with our government in the shape it is in, there is no way to get RID of him. He is basically functioning as a dictator right now. He all but thumbs his nose at Congress. If they don’t give him what he wants, he just passes another executive order to accomplish it under the table.

And others of you who have observed that a large percentage of the population is (a) apathetic (b) ignorant (c) both are also correct. I truly fear for the future of our country and our liberties with this amoral little puppet of the Leftist would-be world rulers of the world in the White House.

A very interesting column.. COMPLETELY NEUTRAL
Be sure to Read the Poem at the end.

Charley Reese’s final column for the Orlando Sentinel…
He has been a journalist for 49 years.
He is retiring and this is HIS LAST COLUMN.

Be sure to read the Tax List at the end.

This is about as clear and easy to understand as it can be. The article below is completely neutral, neither anti-republican or democrat. Charlie Reese, a retired reporter for the Orlando Sentinel, has hit the nail directly on the head, defining clearly who it is that in the final analysis must assume responsibility for the judgments made that impact each one of us every day. It’s a short but good read. Worth the time. Worth remembering!

        545 vs. 300,000,000 People
        -By Charlie Reese

Politicians are the only people in the world who create problems and then campaign against them.

Have you ever wondered, if both the Democrats and the Republicans are against deficits, WHY do we have deficits?

Have you ever wondered, if all the politicians are against inflation and high taxes, WHY do we have inflation and high taxes?

You and I don’t propose a federal budget. The President does.

You and I don’t have the Constitutional authority to vote on appropriations. The House of Representatives does.

You and I don’t write the tax code, Congress does.

You and I don’t set fiscal policy, Congress does.

You and I don’t control monetary policy, the Federal Reserve Bank does.

One hundred senators, 435 congressmen, one President, and nine Supreme Court justices equates to 545 human beings out of the 300 million are directly, legally, morally, and individually responsible for the domestic problems that plague this country.

I excluded the members of the Federal Reserve Board because that problem was created by the Congress. In 1913, Congress delegated its Constitutional duty to provide a sound currency to a federally chartered, but private, central bank.

I excluded all the special interests and lobbyists for a sound reason. They have no legal authority. They have no ability to coerce a senator, a congressman, or a President to do one cotton-picking thing. I don’t care if they offer a politician $1 million dollars in cash. The politician has the power to accept or reject it. No matter what the lobbyist promises, it is the legislator’s responsibility to determine how he votes.

Those 545 human beings spend much of their energy convincing you that what they did is not their fault. They cooperate in this common con regardless of party.

What separates a politician from a normal human being is an excessive amount of gall. No normal human being would have the gall of a Speaker, who stood up and criticized the President for creating deficits. The President can only propose a budget. He cannot force the Congress to accept it.

The Constitution, which is the supreme law of the land, gives sole responsibility to the House of Representatives for originating and approving appropriations and taxes. Who is the speaker of the House now? He is the leader of the majority party. He and fellow House members, not the President, can approve any budget they want. If the President vetoes it, they can pass it over his veto if they agree to.

It seems inconceivable to me that a nation of 300 million cannot replace 545 people who stand convicted — by present facts — of incompetence and irresponsibility. I can’t think of a single domestic problem that is not traceable directly to those 545 people. When you fully grasp the plain truth that 545 people exercise the power of the federal government, then it must follow that what exists is what they want to exist.

If the tax code is unfair, it’s because they want it unfair.

If the budget is in the red, it’s because they want it in the red.

If the Army & Marines are in Iraq and Afghanistan it’s because they want them in Iraq and Afghanistan …

If they do not receive social security but are on an elite retirement plan not available to the people, it’s because they want it that way.

There are no insoluble government problems.

Do not let these 545 people shift the blame to bureaucrats, whom they hire and whose jobs they can abolish; to lobbyists, whose gifts and advice they can reject; to regulators, to whom they give the power to regulate and from whom they can take this power. Above all, do not let them con you into the belief that there exists disembodied mystical forces like “the economy,” “inflation,” or “politics” that prevent them from doing what they take an oath to do.

Those 545 people, and they alone, are responsible.

They, and they alone, have the power.

They, and they alone, should be held accountable by the people who are their bosses.

Provided the voters have the gumption to manage their own employees…

We should vote all of them out of office and clean up their mess!

This might be funny if it weren’t so true.
Be sure to read all the way to the end:

        Tax his land,

        Tax the table,
        At which he’s fed.

        Tax his shirt,

        Tax his drink,
        Tax him if he
        Tries to think.

        Tax his cigars,
        Tax his beers,
        If he cries
        Tax his tears.

        Tax his car,
        Tax his gas,
        Find other ways
        To tax his ass.

        Tax all he has
        Then let him know
        That you won’t be done
        Till he has no dough.

        When he screams and hollers;
        Then tax him some more,
        Tax him till
        He’s good and sore.

        Then tax his coffin,
        Tax his grave,
        Tax the sod in
        Which he’s laid…

        Put these words
        Upon his tomb,
        ‘Taxes drove me
        to my doom…’

        When he’s gone,
        Do not relax,
        Its time to apply
        The inheritance tax.

        STILL THINK THIS IS FUNNY?
Not one of these taxes existed 100 years ago, & our nation was the most prosperous in the world.
We had absolutely no national debt, had the largest middle class in the world, and Mom, if agreed, stayed home to raise the kids.

What in the heck happened? Can you spell ‘politicians?’

I hope this goes around THE USA at least 545 times!!! YOU can help it get there!!!

GO AHEAD. . . BE AN AMERICAN!!!

      • Rico

Well said. Two words are the cure: TERM LIMITS. This form of government NEVER anticipated a political class. It was expected that folks would serve a term or two and return to their regular lives. Until we eliminate the political class we will remain slaves to the state to one degree or another. It’s the ONLY solution.

      • Christin

        Rico,
Two better words for a real long term cure are : Jesus Christ…

All that is written in this entire accounting and all that has been commented on is so late in coming. It’s literally too late. If the word is only coming out now, then as my father had told me over 40 years ago, “It’ll be too late and too short in scope to change anything by then – the rouse will have taken them by insidiousness through their own complacent misdirected belief that they know what’s going on.”

My father was discussing about the concerns that Bob Livingston now writes of here back in the late 1960’s when everyone was labeling my dad a fanatic and a doom and gloomer. His father had told him about the formation of families that had been established long before his time – a consortium of families whose purpose was to gradually widdle down the freedoms, the productivity and especially the Christian morality base of this nation. My forefathers had both belonged to a rather covert organization of elitists whose fingers were in the same pie as those who today are intently focused on undermining the US Constitution and our nation’s faith. The ultimate goal being to reduce the power, wealth and freedoms of individuals, which in their times were so much more prevalent in the U.S. than the remnant that remains today. Today’s generation have no idea how much has been taken from what was before their time!

At this point, there is virtually nothing that can be done to stop the inevitable globalistic tyranny that is on the horizon. Had the people who mocked my dad, a man who knew of these families by name (names and faces that will never be publicly addressed today), had they instead listened and made just minor changes across the nation, this diabolical plan to harness and exploit the productivity of the masses for the benefit of a miniscule percentage of elitists might have been exposed and even possibly thwarted. For one, the technology to implement worldwide instantaneous surveillance and control did not yet exist in the 1960’ or even the 70’s. Not so today! This very forum we’re using now (the World Wide Web) that is linked into almost every household, especially those foolish enough to expose their all in forums like Facebook and the like, believing that there are safeguards protecting their confidentiality – this very technology is feeding the system that will eventually collate all your vital information to be used against you at the time “the trap is to be sprung”, as my dad used to say.

From what my father knew of the master plan of his elitist acquaintances, he predicted very accurately in the early 1960s the financial decline of our dollar, the dismantling of our nation’s educational standards, the decline of the family unit and all sense of personal responsibilities, the abolishment of absolute values and standards, the gradual diminishing of our nation’s Christian heritage and influence, the decaying of our nation’s leadership and on and on. People would laugh at him and I distinctly remember him saying to these people (might as well be people of today): “I know what is in the works for you all. My forefathers were in on this. I speak from first hand knowledge. You are all fools to think men with power wouldn’t do such a thing!” He told me later “This is an intentional agenda but will be presented as though it’s a run-away train out of control – but in reality it’s an articulate concerto of violinists in perfect harmony – but the people will be made deaf to its implications”. All the things that my dad said were going to occur (too much to write here) have ALL happened just as his family cohorts said they’d cause to happen. Now that’s just too much coincidence to be coincidence! At this point – what is the point. We’ve already well passed the crest of the Niagra and are going down onto the rocks below…. and yet THERE ARE STILL PEOPLE TODAY THAT DON’T SEE THE CATASTRAPHE THAT THIS NATION IS ON THE BRINKS OF EXPERIENCING! At that point, the elitist families had already won. Michael Savage’s term “Sheeple” is so very appropriate here. We’ve cooked our own goose and denied it all the while feasting on the bird!

Ironically, the comment made earlier by Christin were probably the only few words that not only stated a simple truth in all this, but the only thing that’s really going to matter in the end: She simply stated: Two better words for a real long term cure are: Jesus Christ… and that’s what our own nation’s founding fathers were convinced of as well…. something that the hidden elitist families of today do not want you to realize.. and they’ve succeeded ….apparently.

        Thanks Gary,

        Good post.

I remember my mom telling me when I was a young girl that the Communists would not attack from without, but from within… and they did.

I was surprised when I started to grow up because I listened to the men in government and they were so anti-communist that I thought no one could get through to the leadership ranks let alone a whole bunch like the list above from David in MA, to change our way of life… but here we are… and they have…

And I wonder why didn’t my parents’ generation fight the good fight and keep up the look out to protect our land from Communist infiltration if they knew… I still don’t have an answer.

Amen to that my friend. I just think that the job creators (rich/wealthy) should be taxed as the rest of us! I’m sure alot of you agree… but why should us middle-classers have to suffer so much worse than them paying for all this bull. Im feeling the poem though and what you saying.

    • JPUNTLD

After reading the majority of the comments left on this article, it looks like ya’ll are a pretty tight knit group. Care if I join in on the fun?

    • mr. greene

Im glad to see that since i last was on this site i see much better ideas coming from all of you. Obama is getting to be as bad as any of the bad gop candidates. I really have began to like some of the ideas im hearing from people such as ron paul and john huntsman. I just really must stress that people start researching the bilderberg group if you havent already heard of it. They are the ones searching for a single global government. I think many of you would find it to be as serious as i do and as everyone should. Although i still believe in some of the stuff O is doing besides the fact that much of it he hasnt gone through with such as some of the lefty type proposals he has made. I just honestly fear some of the beliefs of the GOP candidates who preach how the seperation of church and state is important and yet want to have the rights to ban mosques… if the rights to do that can be justified i’d think that they can do the same for our synagogues and churches which of course brings light on how ridiculous this proposition is. I hope many of you do agree that bachmann has done some things that struck fear in my heart such as how god has spoke to her and told her to marry her husband as well as run for president. Praying is one thing but saying you have spoke to god is no different that speaking to an imaginary friend. I just wanted to get some stuff off my chest because the last time i visited personal liberty i was accused of being a socialist or whatever which is completely ridiculous. While i dont tend to believe in the article written i did wana see how my fellow americans and patriots have been fighting for their beliefs. Dont get on my ass about it but i really think as myself being in a middle-middle class that the taxes should at least be raised for those who are considerably rich. It is ridiculous for a democratic president to propose cuts to the programs in which they have fought to maintain for so many years. While some may need to be reformated many should not be effected at all. Well, i hope all of you can come together with me and propose to our leaders that the taxes on the rich are really a very important issue. Im young and hadnt known til recently but i think its ridiculous us in the middle class pay higher taxes than the wealthy or so called “Job Creators” which is a total bogus statement… im just surprised many people dont see it that way. These same people take the money and outsource meanwhile many are woried about the latino’s crossing the border. Well god bless you all for being so passionate, i apologize if some of my ideas are a little liberal but hey not all of us believe in the same things.
      Stay informed by non-bias media!
AND MOST DEFINITELY get up on the bilderberg group… learning about this completely changed my outlook on Barack as well as many other people on both sides you think are trying to do the right thing.
Also, conspiracy theory with jesse ventura is a wonderful source of information…. entertaining…but so shocking that it can almost be considered scary.
May our country one day become satisfying for all people, of all races, and all beliefs, religious and political alike.

      • mr. greene

and please for the love of god help influence the raising of the debt cieling, as i said its fair for some cuts to be made to certain programs but there is NO reason that we should further increase the problem in which is our economy. I havent researched enough what it could mean for us to default but It is seemingly a horrendous outcome. Peace and love!
