For the ill-informed minions out there, when a prez has the power to cancel out constitutional checks-and-balances and do whatever he thinks feels good, you have a DICTATOR.
In a way, it’s almost amusing to know that by acting like King George (no, not Soros), Herr Obummer is not one bit different than the COLONIALISTS he hates. HOW PROGRESSIVE!
Because the subhuman vermin in Congress aren’t willing to RESTRAIN the head loser in the W H, that means they have SURRENDERED their right to be in office.
Once again, the Founding Fathers have proved that what you want and what you get tend to be two different things. And, when your “LEADERS” refuse to do their job, you MUST either throw them out or surrender to the SOBs.
In this life, folks, surrender is NOT an option. It’s your kids who will pay the price for your “self-absolution.”

McConnell can be kicked out of office by way of petition process in his local districts. Just convince those McConnell represent to take action. Better now than wait.

The way I read it, the plan gives Obama the unlimited power to raise the debt ceiling every time the plan expires, which we know he will. It reads as if he can bypass Congress each time but, what else is new? – he already does that as if Congress doesn’t exist. He believes he should have unlimited spending powers and should be able to increase the debt as he wishes and to H*** with the voters. I certainly hope his threats and tantrums sink his ship and it can never be dredged up from the murky bottom of the Potomac. May he rest with the fishes (poor fish!)

McConnell needs to retire. He is giving up the battle before it has a chance to take place. Even as a backup plan it stinks. He is giving up the power of Congress to the President. Who controls him if Congress gives up its Constitutional powers???

How about we voluntarily pay income and payroll tax, too.

We should not be bullied by a dictatorial personality, regardless of how important he thinks he is to America.

We hear the words spoken by the President, his cabinet, and other liberals, saying that we are in a great crisis over debt ceiling. We, the American citizens, often cannot separate truth from lies in this matter. The President has stated that he cannot guarantee the social security checks if the measure is not passed by the date set by Secretary of Treasury as August 2. This for one thing I believe to be a bald faced lie. Social Security is in a different fund, which must be protected IAW law. How do we know the other comments are true, coming from the mouth of a liar?

Our House of Representatives passed a bill on debt ceiling that was rejected. I see no further action necessary by the Representatives at this time. Simply continue the deliberation of bills and operate the appropriate committees. The ball in in the President’s court.

Inversely, President Obama needs to get his act together and send a budget for congressional approval. To my knowledge he has never had a budget passed. He is flying the seat of his pants, keeping vital information away from the American people. Until he sends a budget, no action should be considered by congress on a debt ceiling.

Obama’s socialism, communism, progressivism, and Muslim brotherhood dictatorial ideas should be nixed; it is time to get serious about his eligibility through congressional committees. If his eligibility is so positive, why would he spend a fortune keeping the issue out of open court for so long? We need to openly go after Obama and the Democratic Socialist of America as the traitors of our country they are. God bless American and the memory of those patriotic Christian-Judeo founders.

As pointed out the other nite on a news program — Congress controls the purse strings per the Constitution ..So power can not just be handed to the president.
So unless an amendment to the Constitution is added this power transfer can’t happen
As far as being stuck with these idiots as in Wisconsin maybe put pressure on them for recall/censure????

We knew it was coming, the unconditional surrender of the Republicans. What I did not expect that they would offer to hand even more of their power over to the President. Wait! Libya, EPA, and FCC…. I should have seen that coming. Politicians want a dictatorship. They want the glory of being elected but not the responsibility.
