Nominal vs. Real Dollars

July 11, 2011 by

Nominal vs. Real Dollars

Nominal dollars are the everyday paper dollars that we think of and call money. These dollars change every day (depreciate). The value of these dollars goes down constantly as the money printers continue to debase our currency.

The point is that Americans don’t know the difference. They don’t know that their savings and their retirement are being destroyed, and they are being systematically impoverished by depreciating or debased nominal dollars. If this is not all important, I don’t know what is.

Nominal dollars, or depreciating currency, are destroying America. America is a giant Ponzi scheme, no different from Enron. As with Enron, we are locked into an economic death spiral. The U.S. national debt will never be paid off.

Nominal depreciating paper money dollars are by default headed for the same trash heap of the rest of the unfunded paper money.

The few who wake up to the real world begin exchanging their depreciating paper money for gold and silver and Swiss annuities (Swiss francs). They also buy value gold stocks and other stocks that go up as un-backed paper money depreciates.

Most people think that a dollar is a dollar. Not so. Today’s dollars (nominal dollars) are quicksand money that financially destroys all who trust it.

Those unaware of the inflating debasing nature of nominal dollars live in a fickle and imaginary world. They believe all is well and all is safe. They are further deceived by rising stock prices in nominal dollars. One can be up 100 percent in a stock portfolio but still be losing in real dollars — very deceptive! How many investors in Warren Buffet’s famous Berkshire Hathaway realize they have been losing in real dollars for years? I don’t believe they mention this in their sensational annual reports.

Look at the nominal dollars in your pocket. They are nowhere near the value of the dollars you had as a child or that you have under your mattress.

We have had paper money since 1913, and most of that time it was being debased (inflated). Now it’s at a 92 percent loss. We are only as rich or as poor as the purchasing power of our money.

Have you ever wondered why banks and politicians love paper money? Because they profit from it!

All modern money is nominal dollars. Look at the money in your pocket or your savings account or your retirement. You are being deceptively impoverished, and the fact that you are unaware of it makes your eventual impoverishment certain.

What can we do? Until there is a change in the monetary regime of the United States, we must get out of U.S. dollars as much as we can. Buy farmland, buy food to store, buy gold and silver, buy the Swiss franc via Swiss annuities.

Call 242-353-4261 for a free packet on Swiss annuities. You may also write to: SA Information, P.O. Box F-42657, Freeport, Grand Bahama, Bahamas 99999.

Since we expect inflation (now visible), we also buy fertilizer and pesticides ahead. We fix things that need repair.

We predicted that the money printers would pull us out of the 2008 financial collapse at least one more time. Well, the indicators tell us they are doing it, at great cost to the value of your dollars.

In this inflating economy we could have a skyrocketing Dow Jones, but that will create deceptive losses in nominal dollars.

Take caution for a possible deflationary shock. Nothing goes straight up or straight down; and sometime in the near future, we could have a bone-crushing deflationary shock for a short while. I expect it.

Therefore, keep some cash (you be the judge of how much) to tide you through. You will need it.

If we understand nominal dollars vs. real dollars, it will absolutely change the way we think. They are not the same.

mark, bob wire, it’s strange how you barry soetoro supporters can denigrate anyone. palin will clean your hero’s slate come nov. 2012. in fact your hero will not beat hillary for the bolshevik nomination next year. face it, you lose.

    • Karolyn

Why do you assume that anyone who sees through Palin thinks that Obama is his hero???? Can’t it just be that we are just perceptive enough to see through her? And it is as plain as the nose on your face that she is not capable of being President!

      • chuckb

karolyn, most of the denigrating comments come from people who can’t see through whom they voted for. like, can’t see the forest for the trees.

      • bob wire

Chuck , You were seeing through Obama before you knew much about him. so you are not offering us very much to consider, only that you don’t like Obama. Maybe it’s the tan, your are leaving me to guess.

You attack, we defend. ~ simple enough to me? You don’t like people that defend? ~ I suppose suppose you’d like it better if I rolled over and play dead for you?

Quit attacking the man and we will quit defending him.

Why not attack the issues instead?

Like the myth that Tax cuts creates jobs?

How much more must we subsidize the wealthy until we might see a few more of those jobs created like we were promised? I don’t need one myself but I have friends and family that do.

When was the last time that we heard of Fire fighters or school teachers needing a bail out?

While I’m not so peachy keen on government employees, if we are to have a reasonable facsimile of a functioning government, we need them. Don’t you want your government to return you calls and respond to you letters? There was a point in time, Jim Wright and John Hightower always came though for me in my time of great need.

I expect such a response, I pay for it and I supported these men. But they can’t conduct their affairs without the money for staffing.

I defended Ollie North in his time of need when congress had him, heels locked front and center explaining his action while serving the Commander and Chief. He earned my support, while I don’t share Ollie’s political views, then or now.

Obama is not the boggie man, but just a man.

But if you want to fill your pockets with gold and silver and run off to places unknown Chucky, don’t let me slow you down. I’ll hold the door open for you.

      • Jay

bob, I see that you are a astute student of Karl Marx. You even have his double-speak well honed. Just wondering, how many “polly want a cracker” did it take?

      • Jay

bob:Quit attacking the man and we will quit defending him.

Why not attack the issues instead?

I would suggest considering his “world-view” , as with obama’s world-view, which is, socialist/marxist/leninist, rather then attack the issues. As a consummate dumbbell that you are, which you prove time and again, as is apparent in your ridiculous question, that one may actually succeed in drawing fresh water from a poisoned well, should he but reason, that if he were to try often enough, he just might succeed!

      • bob wire

Oh!! name calling and attacking some more are we Jay? Ouch!

maybe you should stop while you are ahead jay.

I’ve no time too play with you now. Go play in the freeway until I get back. Chase cars! They are loaded with democrats you know?

      • Jay

My my, liberals are so sensitive. Just an imperceptible surface-scratch, sends them sobbing and crying to the nearest pharmacy!

    • mark

Sorry to burst your bubble, but according to about a quarter of the contributors to this blog, there will not be a presidential election in Nov. 2012. For the first time in the history of the republic, a standing president is going to cancel the presidential, Congressional, Senatorial, and who knows all state, county, and municipal elections that year. And the 150 million Americans who own guns are just going to accept this. If you buy that then I guess Sarah Palin is still the governor of Alaska.

      • chuckb

mark, have you been using some of that funny stuff? no elections in 2012? barry would love to become dictator, however, the people who pull his strings would be dubious and wouldn’t allow a power they can’t control. barry hasn’t got the smarts to be a dictator, they feed him and michelle vacations between his telepromter moments so he is not exposed to too much scrutiny. getting a vacation amendment inserted into the constitution might be a good idea before he and michelle bankrupt the nation. anyway palin will take care of barry and pull us out of this depression.

      • eddie47d

I have heard several on this site including Raggs that Obama will cancel the 2012 elections and become a dictator. I totally doubt it but you know how those conservative rumors are.

      • James Jones

Given certain national divisiveness (upheaval), war involvement, and economic collapse, he can do just that! Are the PUGs playing right into his hand?

    • 45caliber

While I’m not really a Palin fan, I think the biggest problem with her is that the libs and the professional politicians are so terrified by her becoming President that they will do and say anything that might possibly disrupt her run. And I don’t believe they do this because they think she might be a bad President. I think it is because they are terrified that she might be a good President and that the people might actually like her.

      • bob wire

and you should be too 45, ~

But the truth is , you are wrong ~ the democrats are not terrified by her becoming President as much as the thought of living in a nation where 51% of the voting public believes that she should. Now that is a scary thought!

      • Jay

What is scary bob, is that you learned how to read and write, like “a child with a gun” scary!

      • bob wire

Now that failed to make much sense?

        Maybe you should try again?

I haven’t killed anyone in a long time there no need of fear from me. I don’t even own guns anymore ~ you and your friend have so many there is no need with so many handy.

      • Jay

Read it again bob, you obviously didn’t get it!

      • 45caliber

It is better than living in a nation where 51% of the people believe they should be able to sit at home and the rest have to support them. And I’m afraid we have that one.

    • bob wire

“Palin will clean your hero’s slate come nov. 2012.”. You keep dreaming that Chuck. As I have , she’ not even running but I wish that she would.

And “O” is no hero or no messiah, just “YOUR” President.

      • Jay

bob:And “O” is no hero or no messiah, just “YOUR” President.

NO, YOUR president, hero and messiah, bob!

      • bob wire

So you are not an American Jay. Than why are you here?

Or are you just deceiving yourself and thinking no one might notice?

Or do you create your own special reality and hide from truth and facts.

I could have said much the same thing about 43, his two presidential victories were both extremely questionable. Dangling chads, one judges decision, etc. ~It was never really a clearly defined mandate. A much as I dislikes 43, I accepted him as the president of the USA.

So what is so special about Jay that he thinks that he can alter reality?

I don’t believe that you can ~ I think that you are left to live inside your own head and refuse to come out to face the realities of the day.

      • Jay

bob: So you are not an American Jay. Than why are you here?
Translated: Jay you’re not an American because you dare question and criticize the present authority.

Or are you just deceiving yourself and thinking no one might notice?
Translated: Just so you know Jay, I notice that you question and criticize the present authority, and therefore, I consider you a non-American.

Or do you create your own special reality and hide from truth and facts.
Translated: Unlike myself, bob, as I just happen to have a firm grip on reality, and I’m confident of what is true and what is factual, and I certainly do not hide from such. I just ram it down people’s throats, that’s how American I am!

I could have said much the same thing about 43, his two presidential victories were both extremely questionable. Dangling chads, one judges decision, etc. ~It was never really a clearly defined mandate. A much as I dislikes 43, I accepted him as the president of the USA.
Translated: Disregard my above statement as I just did what I said I could have.

So what is so special about Jay that he thinks that he can alter reality?
Translated: Why can’t I convince Jay that what I think and say is the truth. I realize that for the most part my statements are usually vague and ambiguous, but that’s besides the point.

I don’t believe that you can ~ I think that you are left to live inside your own head and refuse to come out to face the realities of the day.
Translated: I know I won’t convince you today Jay, but I will keep trying. And, I’m confident that one day I will persuade you to lay aside your critical thinking and embrace the socialist propaganda with all your heart, as I have done. GO OBAMA!!!

palins worse enemy is the republican hierarchy, karl rove and company, some noted so called conservative columnist who are liberal. i respect dick morse for his political savvy, yet, i fear he has sold out to the romney camp, when he appears on some news programs he continually slips favorable insinuations towards romney. sometime i think he’s still working for the clintons. these people keep talking palin down and you can understand why, whoever they back doesn’t compare to palin.

    • mark

Palin’s worst enemy is Palin. Why doesn’t she read some books, take some courses, expand her knowledge base like all growing adults should – instead of starring on these ridiculous reality shows, giving $100,000 pablum speeches to conservative groups every week, and quitting her job as governor of Alaska to grab all this easy cash from her worshippers.

      • bob wire

ditto, after all is said and done.

also my I add, just a one years study into national politic pretty much describes Ms. Palin as well.

Hardly worth the consideration or bother the read.

Not wishing to steal her thunder in cleaning up her state at that time, but I feel more like someone rolled over and Palin was there to make it legit. Someone got cut out of the deal.

      • eddie47d

Wayne 937; Would Sarah go after the big oil companies like you said in # 2 if she became President?

      • Jay

What’s your issue with oil companies eddie?

      • Jay

bob:Not wishing to steal her thunder in cleaning up her state at that time, but I feel more like someone rolled over and Palin was there to make it legit. Someone got cut out of the deal.

bob, we can always count on you making precise and unambiguous statements. Thank you for consistency and dedication to such!

      • 45caliber

Now if his statements were actually truth, they would be even better.

      • Jay

Yeah, I know mark, and I fell for ya. If only you were in her place, right? Ya, its just not fair, is it mark?

  • 45caliber

I saw an article of interest the other day. Someone had made gold coins and was using them as money based on that days price of gold. The Feds ruled that this was a form of counterfieting. Apparently it was illegal to use gold and silver as trade items for goods.

    • James Jones

Do some research. I will now that I’ve mentioned it. Three states, as of about 2 months ago, are accepting gold coins and bullion as currency. Maybe more by now. Utah was one, don’t remember the others.

      • 45caliber

You are correct. They did. But as of two weeks ago, the Feds filed counterfieting charges against one of the companies making the coins. Do your own research.

  • Wayne937

Just a little information on Sarah Palin: Maybe this is why the Liberal Press does not like her:

    Dr. John E. Russell says:

    Dear Friends,

Below is an informative article about Sarah Palin–never heard this information in the liberal media. Please send this to your friends and family.
The web address for this article is http://restlessbrainsyndrome.blogspot.com/. It is also included in Sarah Palin’s book, Sarah Palin: Going Rogue: An American Life, pp. 405-408.

    SARAH PALIN’S ACCOMPLISHMENTS
    By Dewey Whetsell
I wrote the following piece in July and it’s been read by thousands of people, many of whom wrote and called me to express their gratitude. I wanted to write a complimentary piece without taking cheap shots at any other individual. Anyway, it was suggested that I post it here as well. Here goes:

“The last 45 of my 66 years I’ve spent in a commercial fishing town in Alaska. I understand Alaska politics but never understood national politics well until this last year. Here’s the breaking point: Neither side of the Palin controversy gets it. It’s not about persona, style, rhetoric, it’s about doing things. Even Palin supporters never mention the things that I’m about to mention here.

“1- Democrats forget when Palin was the Darling of the Democrats, because as soon as Palin took the Governor’s office away from a fellow Republican and tough SOB, Frank Murkowski, she tore into the Republican’s “Good Ol’ Boys Club” (GOB) and sent them packing. Many of them are now residing in State housing and wearing orange jump suits. The Democrats reacted by skipping around the yard, throwing confetti and singing “la la la la” (well, you know how they are). Name another governor in this country that has ever done anything similar. But while you’re thinking, I’ll continue.

“2- Now with the GOB gone, there were fewer Alaskan politicians to protect the huge, giant oil companies here. So, she constructed and enacted a new system of splitting the oil profits called “ACES”. Exxon (the biggest corporation in the world) protested and Sarah told them “don’t let the door hit you in the stern on your way out.” They stayed, and Alaska residents went from being merely wealthy to being filthy rich. Of course the other huge international oil companies meekly fell in line. Again, give me the name of any other governor in the country that has done anything similar.

“3- The other thing she did when she walked into the governor’s office is she got the list of State requests for federal funding for projects, known as “pork”. She went through the list, took 85% of them and placed them in the “when-hell-freezes-over” stack. She let locals know that if we need something built, we’ll pay for it ourselves. Maybe she figured she could use the money she got from selling the previous governor’s jet because it was extravagant. Maybe she could use the money she saved by dismissing the governor’s cook (remarking that she could cook for her own family), giving back the State vehicle issued to her, maintaining that she already had a car, and dismissing her State provided security force (never mentioning-I imagine-that she’s packing heat herself). I’m still waiting to hear the names of those other governors.

“4- Now, even with her much-ridiculed “gosh and golly” mannerism, she also managed to put together a totally new approach to getting a natural gas pipeline built which will be the biggest private construction project in the history of North America. No one else could do it although they tried. If that doesn’t impress you, then you’re trying too hard to be unimpressed while watching her do things like this while baking up a batch of brownies with her other hand.

“5- For 30 years, Exxon held a lease to do exploratory drilling at a place called Point Thompson. They made excuses the entire time why they couldn’t start drilling. In truth they were holding it like an investment. No governor for 30 years could make them get started. This summer, she told them she was revoking their lease and kicking them out. They protested and threatened court action. She shrugged and reminded them that she knew the way to the court house. Alaska won again.

“6- President Obama wants the nation to be on 25% renewable resources for electricity by 2025. Sarah went to the legislature and submitted her plan for Alaska to be at 50% renewables by 2025. We are already at 25%. I can give you more specifics about things done, as opposed to style and persona . Everybody wants to be cool, sound cool, look cool. But that’s just a cover-up. I’m still waiting to hear from liberals the names of other governors who can match what mine has done in two and a half years. I won’t be holding my breath.

“By the way, she was content to return to AK after the national election and go to work, but the haters wouldn’t let her. Now these adolescent screechers are obviously not scuba divers. And no one ever told them what happens when you continually jab and pester a barracuda. Without warning, it will spin around and tear your face off. Shoulda known better.”

Wayne937……WTF does your post have to do with Nominal vs. Real Dollars? The obvious inability to comprehend the subject at hand may indicate a deficiency in your reading skills/abilities.

      • wayne937

Mr. Gunship it is folks like you who spoil the forums for everyone else. Take a damn leap. I’ll make a post when ever I want to.

      • C130 Gunship

Mr.wayne937…..Your 4th grade education is shining through. You can’t answer the question with a honest factual response so like a true libtard, you revert to personal attacks. I’ll take that ‘leap’ right after you suck off a 12 gauge.

      • Wayne937

Mr. Retard, since you think you have all the answers you can have this forum to yourself and answer your own questions as far as I am concerned. I hope people will see you for what you really are. You want to talk down to everyone else as you think you have all the answers. Well, I don’t play those silly games with those kind of people. You are an arrogant selfish fool and you are showing your ignorance. I will not respond to any more of your foolish statements. My dad alway said, never argue with idiots as they will drag you down to their level. This has certainly proven true over the years, and I have learned my lesson well. Don’t respond Mr. bigshot arrogant as I am going to delete this forum as soon as I send this message. I can’t stand stand people like you.

All fiat currencies since the beginning of fiat (nominal) currencies have failed. This is true for at least the last 2,000 years as
history tells us that since the Roman Empire every fiat currency has been inflated into non-existence, a valuation of zero. Did you get that… every currency has been inflated into non-existence. All world currencies will suffer the same fate eventually, as will the U.S. Federal Reserve Note.. It responsible for destroying every empire that utilized it, including the Roman empire, help bring on the French Revolution, Weimar Germany, and the USA will be no exception. That’s what happens when governments manipulate their currencies. The truth is King Hiero suspected a local goldsmith devalued his supposedly solid-gold crown by mixing the gold with cheaper metals… and asked Archimedes to confirm his suspicions. He confirmed it and heads rolled…… literally. All fiat currencies lie, gold and silver does not. Throughout the history of the world, the one universal measure of value has been gold and to a lesser extent, silver. In times of war and economic weakness, people owning gold and silver have always been able to buy what they needed in exchange for gold and silver. Paper currencies (nominal), like the present-day U.S. dollar, have no intrinsic value. Their worth changes daily with inflation and foreign exchange dealers’ transactions.

So now YOU have been warned. Right now, the U.S. government is printing away your wealth through inflation. And, so far, the American public has put up with the criminal destruction of our money. As Ben BenYankMe at the Federal Reserve continues to increase the money supply and Turbo Timothy Geithner at the U.S. Treasury hands it over to banks and failed investment schemes, the value of each of your paper (nominal) dollars decreases. The last M3 reports showed that 18% more dollars were being printed yearly by the Federal Reserve. They have since stopped publishing M3 figures so we have no idea how bad it’s gotten in the last few years.

    • bob wire

“All fiat currencies since the beginning of fiat (nominal) currencies have failed. ”

I would think that could be said of all “money” and then too, failed for whom? ~ For me or “us” or the King and his dragons horde?

Perhaps failure is eminent due to greed and political plotting?

There seems to be “no end” to all of “the ends” and “new beginning”

For there to be “no end” the “human factor” would have to be removed. So how does such thought play into fiat money and make it less desirable or less unsuccessful?

      http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=swkq2E8mswI

      • C130 Gunship

bob wire…Not “all money” and I never implied or said that……Can you tell me one time in history that gold and silver failed??? No, you can’t.

      • mark

No, there have been enormous collapses in the price of silver and gold throughout history, typically after gold and silver have had big run-ups like recently.

      • C130 Gunship

Mark….The value of gold and silver will fluctuate with supply and demand, and sometimes do to speculators, but it has never been devalued to zero like all fiat currencies have in the past……and will in the future. Learn your history before being stupid.

      • Al Sieber

Yeah right mark, gold and silver is manipulated like the stock market, but they can’t do that much longer. it seems gold’s bottom is around $1480 according to last week, now it’s up to $1554 again. they can’t control it anymore because is traded on the world market. read the coinage act of 1792, that’s what the founders wanted so we wouldn’t be in the mess we’re in today.

      • bob wire

I’ve found gold and silver rather hard to pass without a lot of roughage in you diet.

It was in 69″ I sold a small bottle of Coke a Cola for $150.00 dollars MPC. I really didn’t want to sell it ~ the $150.00 in MPC , I couldn’t eat, drink, dance with or spend and the chances of me losing it or not living long enough to spend was very questionable at the time.

All money is, is simply an illusion of a perceive value. Those that create the money and dynamics that limits the money sets the demand and value. So really, it boils down to a sales job. “You need this!” “You want this” “you’ve got to have this”

There is remote isolated islands where pigs are treated a currency. There is a fixed amount of land, a limited amount of pigs and the demand for a pig is high. You must lord over your pig or someone will steal him. You can raise pigs but they must be feed and you can’t allow him to wander about ~ You can buy a pretty bride with just a pig or two pigs. Chiefs daughter will cost more. You can be fined for misconduct by head council a pig. You can buy prestige and position with a pig and of course you can eat a pig.

I understand Spooky ~ we are all in the trap.

      • wayne937

Mark, this is just another stupid remark from Mr. Gunship who thinks he has all the answers by calling you stupid. Calling you stupid makes him the idiot. You would be better off o ignore this type of person before they drag youm down to their level. He must be an Obama Zombie.

      • Jay

bob:I’ve found gold and silver rather hard to pass without a lot of roughage in you diet.

May I recommend that the roughage be the works of “Karl Marks”, supplemented with the “communist manifesto”!

    • mark

Yeah but the Roman Empire lasted around five hundred years before its currency collapsed. I call that a remarkable success. I doubt if we will last that long. Of course the United States has a much bigger empire than Rome had with our 800 military bases in 120 countries all around the globe. Our imperial ambitions are larger than Rome’s. We want to rule every square inch of the globe and every man woman, and child on earth. Rome only wanted to rule the Mediterranean World, Great Britain, and some of Europe and the Mideast, The United States wants everything, everyone must either adopt our system, ally with us, or die.

    • 45caliber

I wouldn’t say EVERY fiat currency was inflated out of existence. The Confederate money didn’t…

      • C130 Gunship

45 caliber…..Confederate money became practically worthless as a medium of exchange towards the end of the war. In no small part this is because Confederate currency was actually not money, but bills of credit, just as was seen in the Revolutionary War, and concomitantly not secured, or backed by any assets. In FACT 45 caliber, most Confederate currency carried the phrase across the top of the bill: “TWO YEARS AFTER THE RATIFICATION OF A TREATY OF PEACE BETWEEN THE CONFEDERATE STATES AND THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA” then across the middle, the “CONFEDERATE STATES OF AMERICA will pay” [the amount of the bill] “to BEARER.”

I believe, the next presiden is already choosen, as it was Obama choosen in 2008. Our right to vote, is just a masquerade, a diversion, for the NEW WORLD ORDER and the Bilderberg Connection. I think, Rick Perry is on their roll.

    • bob wire

Well, I don’t believe that ~ there is just too much money hanging in the balance for some group of people to know with any certainly who will be moving into the white house.

I do however believe there are groups of people attempting to do this and work to that end.

While I’m at a lose to understanding what “normal” money is, I agree with Mr. Livingston. America has turned into a giant Ponzi scheme, no different from Enron. However, having accepting this and unable to do much about it, I’ve adopted the approach that the quality of my life depends on how I react to it.

Credit Scores is a joke and not to be concerned with. I don’t bother with many things some people think is important anymore. ~ Life is just to short.

I’ve learned how to remove much of the stress from day to day living and actually have a great time know that we are all going to die!

I hope I die owing back taxes, they can have whatever I leave, while my exit has been planned.

Rick Perry may be on their roll but as a Texan conservative, he isn’t my choice. For one thing he isn’t smart enough to be President. The only reason that he is governor is that the GOP AND the Dems haven’t run anyone of any value against him. Particularly the Dems. All their candidates have been either more liberal than Oblama (if that is possible) or someone like Bill White who likes sanctuary cities for the illegals.

I have this quote on my desk to re-read often.Thomas Jefferson-The central bank is an institution of the most deadly hostility existing against the principles and form of the constitution.I believe that banking institutions are more dangeraus to our liberties than standing armies. Already they have raised up a monied aristrocracy that has set the government at defiance.
The issuing power should be taken from the banks and restored to the people to whom it properly belongs. If the American people ever allow the banks to control the issuance of their currency, first by inflation and than by deflation, the banks and corporations that will grow up around them will deprive the people of all property until their children will wake up “HOMELESS” on the continent their fathers conquered. What we are witness to is a crime, ivestigating it as usual, follow the money trail………..let’s bring our troops home and fight the real enemy, the moneychangers, the same lot Christ chased out of the temple, incidentally the only time he lost his temper.

    • Dan az

    • Al Sieber

You’re right Detlef, and Dan, Dan that’s what they did to Julius Caesar also.

    • James Jones

I’d like to expand a bit on your narrative. Andy Jackson, 7th POTUS,
closed the U.S. Bank (I think it was) which had lots, perhaps more, of same power as our FED. Jacson closed it, sent troops to put the gold it had into several state banks until Fort Knox was built. He fought them for years and said once,”It will either kill me or I will kill it”. Interestingly he won that one. Andy was our first Democrat POTUS and much more conservative than any PUG today. Of course, the later “light in the loafers” demoncrats allowed the monster to re-establish in 1913 and it has grown to great heights of massive control since. Nixon voiding the gold standard in 1973 which was a protection against inflation was another hard blow which probably early on set the sails for much of what is happening today.
      thanks cheers

  • chuckb

barry and michelle don’t seem to worry about the failing dollar, the weak economy and the price of gas. there is no date on the article so it probably is much more than stated. i did check it out and seems to be true.

This is from Mark Knoller of CBS.

The pilots and crew of Air Force One are flying more hours than a rookie on a beer run. They are tired of it too, and are adding more crew to Air Force-1, – I know this for a fact because I’m one of the instructors that trains the crews. Our company (Atlas Air) has had the Air Force-1 and E-4 contract for over two years and I’ve been doing it for about 8 months now.

Last year (2010) Obama flew in Air Force One 172 times, almost every other day.

White House officials have been telling reporters in recent days that the Democrat doesn’t intend to hang around the White House quite so much in 2011. They explain he wants to get out more around the country because, as everyone knows, that midterm election shellacking on Nov. 2 had nothing to do with his health care bill, over-spending or other policies, and everything to do with Obama’s not adequately explaining himself to his countrymen and women.

And with only 673 days remaining in Obama’s never ending presidential campaign, the incumbent’s travel pace will not likely slacken.

At an Air Force-estimated cost of $181,757 per flight HOUR (not to mention the additional travel costs of Marine One, Secret Service, logistics and local police overtime), that’s a lot of frequent flier dollars going into Obama’s carbon footprint.

We are privy to some of these numbers thanks to CBS’ Mark Knoller, a bearded national treasure trove of presidential stats. According to Knoller’s copious notes, during the last year, Obama made 65 domestic trips over 104 days, and six trips to eight countries over 22 days. Not counting six vacation trips over 32 days.

He took 196 helicopter trips, signed 203 pieces of legislation and squeezed in 29 rounds of left-handed golf.

Obama last year gave 491 speeches, remarks or statements. That’s more talking than goes on in some entire families, at least from fatherly mouths.

In fact, even including the 24 days of 2010 that we never saw Obama in public, his speaking works out to about one official utterance every 11 waking hours. Aides indicate the “Real Good Talker” believes we need more.

Related: Obama spends nearly half his presidency outside Washington, plans to travel more

Related: Vacationer-in-Chief Spends $1.75 Million to Visit Hawaiian Chums

Obama has spent over $100 million taxpayer dollars flying around in Air Force One, and probably another $100 million on his entourage. Obama is just another tin-pot dictator living lavishly at the expense of his subjects.

And we seniors have to “tighten our belts” because we aren’t getting a COLA again this year… and none last year!

    • mark

You’re absolutely right. Obama is the only president to ever use Air Force One. None of the other presidents ever have. They all flew Southwest economy-class. I know George W. did. He never once used Air Force One in his eight years in office. Oh also would you like to buy some stock in the Brooklyn Bridge?

      • 45caliber

        mark:

I know you are trying to be funny but we all know the previous Presidents used the plane. THere is one difference, however. They didn’t spend 80% of their time either at the golf course or on the plane. They actually spent some time in their office too.

      • eddie47d

You mean all those pictures of G Bush playing golf were just re-runs! LOL

Thanks Bob for yet another reminder to be ever vigialnt. It is so easy to get “lazy”. My wife and most of my friends and relatives think I am, ah, crazier than I have been in the last 40 years.

  • Pete NY “R I P FEDERAL RESERVE BANK”

I believe the USA can and must pay back all its borrowed money. As I discuss in my book “R I P Federal Reserve Bank 1913-2028 and Other Predictions”, the nation will sell its housing to foreigners as part of the payback plan. Most poor Americans will be forced to live on “reservations”. Our nation has more than enough assets to cover our debts. The other part of the plan is to shrink the government to about 10 perc. of what it is today and eliminate the Minimum Wage laws. There are things we can do to get back on the right track; painful as they may be, it must happen.

  • Bob Marshall

I hope and pray America has seen enough change from Obama that in 2012 they will make another critical change and that will be in the Whitehouse.

  • Tim-Gabz

This is not like Germany in the 50s defaulting due to war debts and destruction. It is not like Germany after WW1 with the collapse of their currency. The U$D is intricately tied into all the world economies so when it goes down it robs all of us, kills all our economies and leaves the world economy wrecked. It will do for the world what happened to Germany after WW1. However there are no big brothers to pick us all up.

The ONLY THING that has a chance to turn this around is TERM LIMITS! We can complain and talk about all that has gone wrong since 1913 but there is only one thing that has a chance to turn this around! TERM LIMITS change the type of person looking for the job – TERM LIMITS will change the behavior of everyone ‘up there’!

    • home boy

here’s a better idea. get rid of the whole political system. run the country as a non for profit corporation. you will always have corruption but now you can prosecute the wrong doers.

    • Bert Cundle

I’ve sayed Kep the good ones & Screen out the bad ones!!!

    • DaveH

You have a good point there, Brian, that Term Limits would change the type of person looking for the job. But that change could be negative, as maybe the job would then appeal more to those who have more to gain from graft. Who knows?
My belief is that Term Limits may help, but not enough to justify the effort in getting them implemented. We will still have politicians elected on sound bites and weak resumes. And they will then be unaccountable to the voters (lame ducks) a larger portion of the time than they are now.
I think there is no substitute for an informed electorate. This website is a good step in that direction.
      Thank you, Bob Livingston.

      • home boy

so bob by your comment you still think this country has a chance with politicians. to bad you think the same as most americans. they all work for satan but i guess you are blinded to that.

      • 45caliber

Speaking of “lame ducks” … I believe that it should be illegal except for war for any lame duck politician to be allowed to vote for anything – or sign anything. When they are kicked out of office on the first of November, they go home and stay there. We don’t need annoyed politicians to pass and sign legislation that they know the people don’t want or need simply in revenge for getting kicked out of office.

  • Les

We went from a nation of “Doers” to a nation of “I want, I need”. That’s the crowd that votes for anyone promising to give them more. This has been predicated years ago. It’s called robbing the Public trust. And it always leads to a dictatorship.

I would love to know what the real unemployment numbers are in this country. Not just the Government’s stats from fake unemployment sources. Need to include the ones that have been taking for years and giving nothing back generation after generation. Those unwilling to work folks will bring the unemployment numbers to 40-50 percent or higher.

Got to love a country that is run by people that typically can’t balance their own checkbooks or run a 7/11. Isn’t it wonderful how they all got to be millionaires and yet don’t see themselves as rich. That goes for both parties. Voting to me is like choosing between Micky Mouse and Donald Duck.

    • Raggs

At least 50% or more people in this country DO NOT pay a federal income tax… That would lead you to believe roughly the same amount are not working… Many of the ones that are not working never have and never will work, they feel as if they are owed a free ride… oblama has made that number increase by at least 30% of the population.

      • Karolyn

Is there a source for that 50% number? It seems awfully high.

      • Capitlist at Birth

It is actually 47%. They do not include FICA or Medicare payment as income taxes, which in fact they really are. This makes the true figure much lower. I would estimate that to be above 25% after you factor in the earned imcome credit which accounts for those other taxes. That is still too high for me. I have had to pay income taxes as well as FICA and Medicare all of my life. The greatest ponszi scheme in history is about to come crashing down aroung the totalitarian socialists heads, at which time they will declare martial law.

      • JUKEBOX

My dearly departed son had paid over $97,000 into SS over his short life, and since he had no family other than his mother and myself, that money will be probably distributed to some drug addicted individuals who are sucking off the disability system. That is the true goal of people like Obama.

      • DaveH

That’s just one of the injustices of Social Security — the fact that the money input is lost to the heirs. And then there’s the fact that all the money has been borrowed from the fund, and the Leaders turn around and threaten the seniors with the loss of that money if we don’t go along with their spending plans (extorting votes in other words).
There is just no way around the very strong evidence that we have a criminal Government.

      • DaveH

      • 45caliber

        Raggs:

I thought for years that the government’s reason for paying welfare moms to have eight kids was due to a desire to insure a future of tax-payers. Now I’m convinced it was meant as a way to grow the numbers of those on welfare to the point where they outnumbered those of us still paying taxes.

      • eddie47d

That reasoning wouldn’t serve any purpose for either side. Before welfare people had large families too. Back in the 70′s they interviewed Haitian women(families)on why they kept having kids when they can’t support them. (no welfare there at the time either). Their response was; “They are my only possession and without them I have nothing”. To me it is not a reason to have a child and is a self defeating answer if you can’t lift yourself up first.

      • 45caliber

        eddie:

So you don’t believe they had the kids for the money? There are too many examples showing otherwise. I’ll list ONE. Back about 40 years ago, it was proposed in Arkansas to pay a woman $5 a month to NOT have a kid. She would not get any extra money for having one, regardless of how many she already had.

The politicians, black racists, etc. came unglued. They were insisting that was an attempt at genocide. All were convinced that for that extra $5 no woman on welfare would have a child.

    • Dan az

      Les
Here is a site that gives the true numbers and is updated every month.
      http://www.shtfplan.com/headline-news/the-real-unemployment-rate-215_07022010
Its in the 21.5 % range not 9.1 and what was it back in the depression?Thats why they need to change the way they use UE numbers so I would bookmark this site just to get depressed.

    • DaveH

      Les,
The actual employment figures are more telling. We have about 312
million people in this country. If we subtract the people aged 15 and younger (about 70 million), and those aged 65 and older (about 40 million), we have over 200 million people from the ages of 16 to 64.

About 140 million 16 or over are employed according to this BLS table (check the box “total 16 and over” and pick the “retrieve data” number):
      http://www.bls.gov/webapps/legacy/cpsatab9.htm

I think about 8 million of those employed are part-timers. And some of those employed are surely in the over 65 group. But even ignoring those, there are at least 60 million people from the ages of 16 to 64 who aren’t working.

      • Dan az

Well Dave if you don’t believe the gubmnt then who can you believe?A democrap?I find it hard to believe that with so many out of work and way more to come that the gubmnt dose not see that they can’t pay their wages with the lack of tax dollars that aren’t coming in.Oh ya print more money that’l do it.Wow that commong from the best of the best that money can buy!

      • Dan az

coming not commong or what ever this key board said.

      • 45caliber

You had another spelling error too. It isn’t spelled “democrap”. It is spelled “dumbocrap”.

      • Dan az

        45
I’ll fix that for now on thanks!! :)

      • 45caliber

And that is about 30% of the total out of work, isn’t it.

Actually, when you consider than some wives don’t work or need to work, it isn’t that bad. But it certainly isn’t that good either. Actually, I don’t think they even count the ones who live permanently on Welfare. They know they aren’t “out of work”. They don’t have any intention of working!

    • Maya

I hear what you said, however . . . Who do you prefer, Mickey Or Donald???

  • DaveH

I want to expand on something Bob Livingston said “Now it’s at a 92 percent loss”. I suspect that is confusing to many people, as we are conditioned to thinking in terms of increasing prices. So, for instance, if the price of something goes up 100%, you now have to pay twice as much for your goods, or to put it another way, you can only buy half of the basket of goods you could buy before the increase in price. But for the price of something to go down 100% would mean that the goods are free.
Bob is talking about a 92% decrease in the purchasing power of the dollar. That’s a whole different animal than a decrease in price of a commodity.
If we could buy a certain basket of goods in 1913 with the dollar, today at a loss of 92 percent in purchasing power, we could buy only 8% of that basket of goods, or about 1/12th of those goods.

  • Raggs

The market is being played along with everyone that has investments.
One day it is -200 the very next day it’s +200, it is being manipulated by oblama and soros… Dan az is correct on his thinking of oblama bypassing congress for an increase of the debt celling.

No one can or will be able to buy salvation with gold or silver. As always, you have to read at least several verses before and after to understand the context of the verse you are citing. Also, read the whole chapter.

Sad. How I wish Mr. Obama and a few others could step up to the plate and take ownership for what they have done. If across the board, only 20% of us would lay aside our greed and return what we have un-justly taken from others; the economy would turn around over night.

There is a clear distinction between those who are authentically elected by large democratic majorities and adher to continuous ongoing democratic elections and principles vs. dictators like Hitler who never received more than 32% of the vote (Obama received 53% in 2008; Reagan got 50.7% in 1980) and then immediately cancelled all future elections and shut down the Reichstag legislature after the staged fire there in 1934. Hitler also had a racist program to kill and imprison all racial inferiors. The idea of Barak Obama imprisoning and killing millions of non-Aryan minorities is too ludicrous to entertain. Obama never attempted to shut down the U.S. Congress or cancel all future elections. He abided with the large scale defeat of the Democrats in the 2010. He has never declared martial law or suspended freedom of speech, of religion, of the press, the right to bear arms, freedom of assembly – note the large Tea Party anti-Obama rallies in DC and all around the country. These are all healthy manifestations of a functioning democracy. After a little more than one year in office Hitler had removed all personal freedoms from the German people and totally controlled the media through the state-run Ministry of Propaganda of Joseph Goebbels. Can anyone imagine Adolf Hitler tolerating a network like FOX that would criticized his policies morning, noon, and night like they do Obama’s? Or Hitler allowing huge Tea Party demonstrations against his government in Berlin and across Germany. Of course not, he arrested and killed all journalists that criticized his adminstration and he would have shot down in the streets by the thousands any popular demonstrators against this government. Look what Hitler did to the White Rose movement in Munich after the 1943 Nazi defeat at Stalingrad. President Obama on the other hand has allowed all of this popular dissent against his administration to flourish as is its right under the Constitution. Obama has not seized any U.S. citizens guns, he has not banned demonstrations, he has not suspended Congress, he has not cancelled elections, he has not shut down newspapers, radio stations, or t.v. networks like FOX. All of which Hitler did. While Obama has done none of this. It is disturbing to read all these paranoid delusions regarding Obama’s grand conspiracy none of which ever comes to pass, on so many blogs today. If you don’t like Obama simply vote against him on Nov. 6 2012. But don’t compare him to Hitler when he meets zero of the criterion that characterized that mass-murdering tyrant who deliberately started a war that killed 60 million human beings, among them tens of millions of so called “non-Aryan” minorities such as Jews, Slavs, gypsies, and homosexuals. The idea that Obama would ever do anything even remotely resembling such horrific, mass murdering policies is a delusional fantasy.

The only way to rectify the difference in opinions is to get our Government out of the Marketplace. Let Free individuals decide who to buy from and who to contract with voluntarily, without the force of Government. There is no better way to decide what’s fair. If we don’t think a price is right, we don’t buy the product. If we don’t think an employment offer is good enough, we don’t accept the offer. There is no valid reason for government to be involved in such decisions. Might does not make right.
And Government certainly shouldn’t be involved in aiding and abetting their favorite Crony Capitalists.

      Charles:

I have no problem with that at all. I’ve not “unjustly” taken anything from anyone. I’ve worked and earned everything I am paid. The fact that someone else refused to do the same shouldn’t be my problem.

And don’t try to say that someone didn’t have my opportunities. My family were Arkansas hillbillies. They thought $5000 a year was a good income. (And it was, I suppose, since we raised all our food or hunted for it.) I joined the Army and went to Vietnam simply to be able to get the GI Bill to pay for my education. I still don’t have the materials others have, but I’m a heck of a lot better off than if I’d not tried or if I drew welfare. They all could have done the same.

How many of you know that our peddlers of absolution have been in bed with the government for years? So much for absolution.

I say send Sec Timmy all the Monopoly money in your closet with a note to forward that to uncle ben. Print worthless paper and we’ll pay you back in kind.

OK then, today’s lesson is Who thinks the guvmint can spend its way to prosperity?

      • Dan az

        Worrior
I like that plan but I think the monopoly money has more value than what we have now from the feds.I would be in jail for writing checks that I didn’t have the money for so why is the gubmnt doing it and getting away with it.Oh ya they make the rules.I think I better go down and counterfeit some more hundreds if they can do it I should be able to! :)

      • mark

No U.S. money has a lot more value than monopoly money. Try buying a car or a stereo with monopoly money. Monopoly money has no value except in the Milton Bradley game. The U.S. dollar on the other hand is worth 70% of a euro which is pretty good. The euro is from that horrible socialist nightmare called Europe where the currency is stronger, people live longer, have better health care, higher levels of education, can speak four of five languages as opposed to half a language over here. They also understand math in Europe. And if you put fake gameboard money in front of them and U.S. dollars, Europeans know that the U.S. dollar is worth a tremendous amount more.

    • TIME

      SC,
Where do you find a two buck cup of Joe anylonger?

Saddly with nearly 43% of the US popluation on some form of Government aid. Let alone our Government giving aid to how many nations that hate us and we do this to the tune of nearly $1 Trillion dollars per year.
BTW, We are getting loan’s to do that.
Please anyone tell me why that is? As in why should we be getting money on loan to pay nations that hate us, where’s the logic in that?

Yet thats what our government thinks is within reason and oddly many citizens do as well as they have bought into the LIE hook Line and Sinker from their daily dose of MSNBC. So where’s the logic in that?

We have real UE numbers of nearly 22% based on the truth, not the rhetroic the media spins daily of 9.31% or whatever.
The facts are really quite clear that we have an easy 12% plus that have just stoped looking for work and went on Government Aid.
Just look at the GA numbers they have all most doubled in just two years. There are More people are on Government Aid than in all of this nations history.

This year alone in the United States of America a crazy number of people homes have lost anywhere from 10 – 25% of the valve of the noted home.
Yet Tax’s have gone up anywhere from 10 – 40% on these very homes thats value is dropping like a rock on. Where’s the logic in this?

This year alone, 1 out of every 8 people who own a home have lost their home as it was forclosed on for not making payment’s on their loans.
By this years end 1 out of every 9 people who own’s a home will losse their home for not paying their Property TAX’S.
There are over 1.6 million people that have not paid their home loan payment in the last 12 months. What do you think the end result will be?

How long before they become numbers on the GA rolls?
Any of you that have a brain know the numbers you get from the Government and media are never accurate and always are adjusted to fit closer to whats really going on long after the total BS has been posted. In many cases as long as a full year after.

So whats your dollar really worth today?
Well how much is a piece of paper with some ink on it really worth? Would you buy a used piece of paper that had ink stains on it? If so what would you pay for it?

People wake up, if the worlds Wealth is just $68 Trillion dollars, and we have (outstanding UN funded debt’s) even the lower amount of $120 TRILLION dollars, where’s the money going to come from to pay that $120 Trillion Dollars? Do the MATH, its not possible.

We need to cut spending by 2/3 of what our Government spend’s, and we need to get business back in this nation to create jobs.
Thats never going to happen when business are TAXED and Regulated to death. Oh and if you think that Business will pay for less health Care at a higher cost, also known as Barry Care. Get real people just one more reason why we are headed in the wrong direction very fast.

      • Kate 8

Dan az – Steven Quayle was on the radio last night. He’s written many books exposing the dark forces who control things.

Anyway, he said a ranking military officer warned him about talking too much…he said that everything we hear, for good or ill, is controlled information. The PTB are not happy that we are getting other info from people like Quayle.

Stephen said that the man got choked up and said, “I can’t stand it. They have plans…”

We are very close to incited violence here in the US. The thugs are armed by our gov’t, not with just AKs but with anti-tank guns and rocket-launchers. He said it will begin soon…most likely fall.

The PTB want NWO operational by the end of 2012. It’s already well organized and ready to roll.

        Are we?

      • Karolyn

Kate – As you know, I have a problem with this line of thinking. My question is if this scenario is such semmingly common knowledge, why wouldn’t people like Ron Paul and any other good politicians, but especially he and his son, come out about it? Wouldn’t that mean that they are ALL in on it? I mean, if nothing else, I’m sure they’ve all heard about the FEMA camp rumor and others online. They don’t live in a bubble. Well, they do, actually, but not an information bubble.

      • Kate 8

karolyn – Fine. Think what you want.

You don’t seem to get it. Information is CONTROLLED. Ron Paul is still mainstream enough to be included in that.

      • Dan az

        Kate
Whats theirs is ours no need to explain. The fact that a bunch of street gangs and acorn thugs think they can fight against seasoned gorilla fighters is a joke at best. They haven’t a clue what they are about to step into.I do agree this is it and its time to take a stand. And i try not to say to much here or anywhere else.I just ran a scan that took all day on my computer and found that they or someone was trying to knock it out. They failed so I would advise to start a deep scan at least once a week.

      • Kate 8

Dan az – My security scans every night, but I still have been having a lot of computer problems lately. I’ve wondered if it was, you know…

We may be able to cope with the streeth thugs and ACORN. It’s the well-armed foreign nationals hell-bent on taking us over that concerns me. They have been quite open about wanting to get rid of Americans, especially white Americans. And with our own government backing them…and the UN troops…and our own military being slaughtered in foreign lands…

I’m telling you, Dan, I have a great sense of unease. The PTB are preparing to go into their bunkers.

Street violence doesn’t just happen. It’s orchestrated, and has been in every country, right on cue. There are cells set up to respond to code words that go right over our heads.

I know I’ll get a lot of flack from those who label me paranoid. How anyone can be aware of what’s occuring around the world and still think that…

We are receiving warning from every corner. I’m quite sure that much of it is psy ops, intended to make us think it’s hopeless. But history attests to the fact that there is a carefully unfolding plat afoot, laden with symbolism, and if we can grasp the symbolic implications then we can use that to predict what’s coming to some degree.

There are also many things that we are NOT being told that are bigger than what we’ve been able to figure out.

      • Kate 8

Dan az – BTW, I’m uneasy about saying too much, too. But then, as the host on last night’s radio program said, I’d rather go down standing for something than cower in a corner waiting for whatever comes…or something like that.

      • Al Sieber

Kate, I heard it, very interesting. we need to prepare.

      • Kate 8

Al – I’ve wondered if anyone else listens to C2C.

Ususally I can’t stay awake for it, but sometimes there’s a show, like this one, that keeps me up all night!

      • Dan az

        Kate
We are the only resistance with our words being spread and we are being attacked because of it.What I wont say is the only thing that might get me jailed or worse but I do spread it around to those that matter.I believe that we are still 300 million strong and even if half at 150 million stood up to fight that the UN forces are only 3 million in a country that they can’t take with force.Like they say blue helmets make great targets.
I did read that there was a high up military guy that was warning everyone to watch out because its going to come allot sooner than expected.Possibly this fall and I believe that too.I can only say that its going to be bloody and allot of us are going to die stand up.But we will win because we are on the right side.

      • JUKEBOX

How many people realize that of the millions of unemployed people, 45.1% have been unemployed for over six months? That is far worse than during the GREAT DEPRESSION. Also the government figures of 9.3% unmployment are most likely underestimated by over 50%.

      • mark

I agree President Obama will definitely cancel the 2012 elections that he knows he will lose, just like he cancelled the 2010 elections that he knew his party would lose. I mean, there’s your proof! That is why the Democrats now control the House of Representatives and Nancy Pelosi is still Speaker of the House because Obama together with our traitorous military overthrew the Constitution and cancelled the 2010 elections. Don’t forget he also arrested all the members of the Supreme Court also! I mean we all have crystal clear proof of that as well. And Obama took away every single American citizen’s guns. We all have absolute proof of this also. No American citizen today owns a single firearm. I agree with you guys and all of your strong proof-based arguments.

      • Al Sieber

        I believe that Angel.

I keep telling people that this guy is ACTING like a king or dictator so why would we think he is leaving? Of course, they look at me like I have three heads . . . You know, the Constitution is just a piece of paper with ink on it too, and old, too old, if you listen to the libs. So, why should we worry about abiding by that old thing? God help us.

      • Old Henry

Mark, Mark, Mark, The 2010 elections did not directly affect Little Barry. Plus he was pretty sure they would still control the Senate thru their criminal voting activities.

To him the 2010 election was just a bump on the road to use some of barry’s vernacular. Those who lost were just collateral damage to him.

He go the facsist health care into law and knew it would be next to impossible to remove it.

So Mark, if Der Fuhrer is doing badly by early October 2012 there will be some “national emergency” requiring marshall Law. He has not intention of ever leaving OUR White House.

It’s time to remove your head from your rectal socket.

These Bastards in Washington have just gone too far. The Founders are rolling in their graves.
        .

      • mark

Dear Angel Wannabe and Old Henry,
If Obama tried to cancel the 2012 election which is an absolutely ludicrous charge, he would have to get the 2.5 million members of the U.S. Military and Reserves, all of whom have sworn to uphold the Constitution, along with about a million police officers across the country to go along with him and shoot down hundreds of thousands of legitimate American protestors in the streets a la Iran and Syria. This is a totally gonzo fantasy, one of many similar ones on this website. The elections will be held Tues November 6, 2012 and Obama will abide by the Electoral College results. Remember the Electoral College decides the presidential elections in the United States not, you, I, or the American people. In all its history the United States has NEVER held a democratically elected presidential election. That is clearly stipulated in our sacred Constitution written by the Founding Slaveholders in 1787 who also did not believe that anyone who didn’t own property or any women should vote – you know, those great revolutionaries who gave us this government – of the rich, for the rich, and by the rich.

      • Kate 8

mark – The reason for allowing only property holders to vote was to avoid just what we have today: those who do nothing, own nothing and pay nothing determining how much those who do must give up, and how much they, themselves, get to reap off of other people’s labor and holdings.

The electoral college was to prevent a handful of coastal cities from being able to determine the outcome of every election.

      • Al Sieber

Angel, that’s probably in the plans, just stock up on food, grow a garden, etc. and Henry you got that right.

      • DaveH

The leaders are anything but dumb. They are feathering their own nests at our expense, and they have been for a very long time.
As an example, the Sedition Act of 1798, passed only a decade after the Constitution was established:
        http://en.wikisource.org/wiki/United_States_Statutes_at_Large/Volume_1/5th_Congress/2nd_Session/Chapter_74

This act was only valid until March 1801, according to the web page.

      • DaveH

        That is beside my point.

      • DaveH

And you can bet, if they didn’t receive intense opposition, they would have continued it, just as they do with the Patriot Act.

SC is busy playing drama queen again and spreading pixie dust with her magic wand. She really tried hard to tie in Big Pharma, children and Prozac and put it in a little box labeled Progressives. Big Pharma was a concoction by Capitalists to reel in big bucks on the unsuspecting public. America thought it was a normal way of doing business and took it in the shorts. Capitalists flow to the big bucks like Rush Limbaugh flows to Oxycontin. Big Pharma didn’t do Rush any favors with high drug prices but at least he could afford them. Now behind every Conservative is a closet Capitalist yearning to jump on the right elevator that will take them to the top. Big Pharma and Wall Street Derivatives became their God. If they were making money all must be good. I think that old saying should be changed to “As derivatives grow corruption flows” Who needs Johnny Depp in Pirates of the Caribbean. When we had the suit and tie crowd and undercover Conservatives pirating our economy with ponzi schemes.I guess the only confusion to them was which scheme to jump into. Unfortunately their elevator ride to the top did come crashing down for some but mostly wrecked the economy. Atta boy big shots! Big Pharma was Capitalism on steroids or was that Prozac, SC? Not sure what she meant about “caring about tomorrow” when it’s the Republicans who are trying to sabotage Financial Reform. You allow the banksters and experimenter’s on Wall Street to play high stakes poker with the nations economy. Then you turn around and give the anti-reformers(Republicans) a big hug which allows the high rollers a free pass to think up the next ponzi scheme.I don’t see anywhere where Conservatives are willing to reign in the sewer pit in Washington or Wall Street so it becomes business as usual. You attack Progressives with vigor but bend over backwards to give a blank check(absolution)to those on the right.

      • Capitlist at Birth

You obviously have confused the free market with crony capitalism, Which any true capitalist will tell you is not a free market. Why do you insist on labellin anyone who does not agree with you as on the right? What do you actually mean by doing so? Isn’t right better than wrong?

      • Capitlist at Birth

Crony Capitalism is the same as Fascism, whih I assume you are against. Right (Correct?)

      • Old Henry

        capitalist:

It could be that eddie is so far to the left that anyone who disagrees with him is to the right. (?)

      • eddie47d

Capitalism has many facets and they all fall back on each other. Cronyism, greed, ponzi, free enterprise and I’m sure there is a Pure capitalism somewhere if all the schemes didn’t get in the way. So much hype and pie in the sky for the purists. The communists say the same thing. Welcome to my utopia where life will be equally wonderful for everyone. The failures of pure communism are well documented yet they still have some who will swear that it is workable. Then we have those Capitalists who insist that everything is just fine if you just keep giving them one more chance to prove themselves. Karl Marx actually had some good ideas but so did Ayn Rand. In practice communism uplifted everyone equally(equally miserable) and capitalism uplifted everyone too but that darn greed got in the way. Dishonesty and corporate lust shot about 2% to planetary heights while their master plan of controlling the “masses” is in overdrive. This part of Capitalism is now causing the middle class to take the down elevator where they can rub elbows with the poor. Government and world economic problems aren’t helping our present situation, yet I don’t want to have a system of kings and serfs either,(haves and have nots.)

Dan; Smell the coffee and stop blaming the liberals for every little owie you get. Corporations screw up,capitalism screws up,Banks screw up and most are run by conservatives. That is why conservatives are brought into the conversation. If they embarrass you fix the problem or at least admit them. I have spoken up several times about welfare cheats and big government. Like any issue you have to admit the problem before change can be made. I would like to see every single person on welfare do some kind of work. I would also like to see corporates, sports figures, etc work a little harder for what they earn or accept less.

      • Dan az

        Eddie
so you don’t blame every thing on the conservatives Riiiiight! You didn’t vote for the hope and changy thing either right?Well eddieeyou never change and the hope that you may have is going to be that you ran out of other peoples money. No eddie I see clearly that there is no hope for you I only petty your nieve family that they are stuck with you.Good luck your going to really need it.

      • JUKEBOX

Too many liberals talk about the “EVIL” wealthy millionaires in our country, all the while being closet “CAPITALISTS” themselves. Check out the financial statements of Obama, Harry Reid, Nancy Pelosi, Dianne Feinstein Blum, etc. and you will instantly see the hypocrisy in every word they utter in their class warfare speeches. While you are at it, look at how wealthy Michael Moore, Ted Turner, and other limousine liberals support this class warfare while spending more on a lunch than an average American earns in a week.

      • eddie47d

They do pay their taxes and that is more than we can say about a few corporations and a few individuals who dispise America. You have your own cut and run crowd if you haven’t been paying attention. You can defend corporations and capitalists all you want because they do help put food on the table but please jump out of bed with those who are screwing this country for personal profit. Yup the Democrats have their king sized beds too and you love accusing them of the same thing. So ever wonder why nothing changes when you are in bed with the same companies that the Democrats are in bed with? Oh those ties that bind.

You need to do your homework on those who control the majority of “corporations” in America. They all belong to a not so secret society that goes back thousands of years.
They own the financial institutions of the world, pharmacy, media, hollywood, insurance and almost every elected official in the world.
These are the same money changes that put the Christ on the cross, and now they plan to rule the world.
Just look up the names, and Google them. Put 2+2 together, and follow the money.
These evil men are not followers of God, but of Gold, Oil, Diamonds.
These satanist have tried for over a hundred years, with communism, to destroy God. America is the final battle for them.
Because of so called men like yourself, they are winning, but it’s not over just yet.
I hope you continue to fight your battles online, because when they hit the streets, you will not stand a chance in hell. The hell your creating.
God Bless America, and those who fight for her!!!!

      • eddie47d

It would be nice if you filled your Void. I am very aware of what you said but there is much more than a secret society out there. Communism hardly controls the financial empires of the world. Although China is trying to be an exception. Capitalism has much more power in controlling the “money changers”. All we hear on this site is follow the Gold and worship the oil industries as if we owe our lives to them instead of Christ.

    • Elevenarrows

I actually think they do “care about the kids” for very frightening reasons. I think they are determined to train up kids who wouldn’t think twice about reporting their parents to authorities, etc. Government schools are for one thing and one thing only: acquiring the hearts and minds of American children in order to advance their agendas-social and otherwise. I believe that some of the so-called social agendas being promoted are not intended to elevate a particular group (such as homosexuals) above other groups, but rather to destroy the groups that work against what they are hoping to achieve. For example, strong families made up of a mother and father who care deeply about their children are counter-productive to the socialist, progressive movement. It is a good bit more difficult to herd people into camps, take their “money” and mandate dangerous, experimental vaccines if people know their constitutional rights and have a strong network of support through their faith and family.

It looks like if the congress cant get it together on the debt limit then obumer will use the 14th amendment to go around them.Just what we need print more money and to hell with everyone else.Thats the plan and he’s sticking to it.Whats the dollar worth now 5 cents I just can’t imagine what it will be worth then.

    • http://foundersrevolution.blogspot.com patriot1776

The fourteenth amendment is so misunderstood, misconstrued, and misinterpreted! It drives me crazy to hear them talking about bypassing congress by use of an amendment that was ONLY meant to keep the States from not giving the newly freed slaves due process! All the forteenth was saying is that the slaves weren’t getting due process by the States…… so give it to them….thats it! It wasn’t meant to “incorporate” the first ten amendments AGAINST the States, or give the Federal government any new powers to bypass congress. They’ve been doing that, Patriot, since our country began.
Jefferson knew that “The natural progress of things is for liberty to yield and government to gain ground”.
I keep hoping that the Internet will enable the masses to become more aware of that fact. And we need to do everything in our power to keep the Government from using one excuse or the other to get their foot in the door of our Internet.

Bob Livingston says that America is just another ponzi scheme? Since money depreciates we should get out of dollars and into metal, land, etc? It sounds like he is decrying the very system he promotes, CAPITALISM. The very nature of capitalism is that price inflation is a constant factor if the market can support it. Sellers are always trying to push up their prices, look at the oil companies, and when the demand or monopoly will bear it,they do it. People who can afford to invest stay ahead of inflation by getting higher interest return compared to the rate of inflation. It generally works for those w/ enough money, but not for the typical working man/woman who just earns enough to get by…which is why we have gov’t pensions and social security and medicare, because capitalism can’t work for the vast majority of working people who never make enough to stay ahead of inflation.

Inflation is an inherent part of capitalism, just as much as supply and demand are. Gold backed money would not change that,it would only keep our economy from expanding as it can when the economy is good.

I guess Bob has forgotten that millions of people were invested in ‘real’ property rather than dollars before the crash, for the very reasons he suggests now,and the rest is history. The economy cratered and was amplified by the housing bubble, which was created by the people fleeing dollars. The same can happen, and has to a degree,w/ land, which again, is ‘real’ property.

The same thing has happened, and will again, w/ gold/silver.
        Bob seems to forget

      • FreedomFighter

        you sir are a liar:

        Definition of Capitalism
“Capitalism” is conventionally defined along economic terms such as the following:

An economic system in which the means of production and distribution are privately or corporately owned and development is proportionate to the accumulation and reinvestment of profits gained in a free market.
        Source: Dictionary.com

This is an example of a definition by non-essentials. An essential definition of capitalism is a political definition:
Capitalism is a social system based on the principle of individual rights.
        Source: Capitalism.org

In order to have an economic system in which “production and distribution are privately or corporately owned”, you must have individual rights and specifically property rights. The only way to have an economic system fitting the first definition is to have a political system fitting the second definition. The first is an implication of the second. Because the second, political, definition is fundamental and the cause of the first, it is the more useful definition and is preferable.

Because people often use the term “Capitalism” loosely, “Laissez Faire Capitalism” is sometimes used to describe a true Capitalist system. But this phrase is redundant.

It is important to define “Capitalism” correctly because a proper definition is a prerequisite to a proper defense. Capitalism is the only moral political system because it is the only system dedicated to the protection of rights, which is a requirement for human survival and flourishing. This is the only proper role of a government. Capitalism should be defended vigorously on a moral basis, not an economic or utilitarian basis.

Bob’s suggestion was to buy FARMLAND. That way you can gorow your own food and / or cash rent the land for income or barter for other goods.

All you have to do is logically look at what is going on with our monetary system to know it is headed for the cliff. I think Bob meant that America’s money system is a ponzy scheme, not or system of government.

The housing bubble was mostly caused by criminals like Frank and Dodd forcing banks to loan money to people who could never pay it back. Then the rug was pulled out to cause the crash at just the correct time.

Buying houses of over-inflated prices was / is a bad idea, just as buying precious metals at over-inflated prices is a bad idea.

The difference is that you can dollar cost average into metals, but not into houses.

Precious metals are, and have never been, worth zero. A lot of stocks have been, and will be.

Bob did neglect to mention investing in another good metal to have ample suplies of – lead.

      • http://www.boblivingstonletter.com/ Bob Livingston

        Dear denniso,

Rising prices and inflation are not the same thing, and capitalism is not responsible for rising prices. Prices can rise and fall based on supply and demand. In a hard money economy, as more money is used to purchase a particular good or service, the price will rise. But since that money is no longer going to other goods and services, the price of those goods and services will fall. In a fiat money economy, all prices rise as more dollars are chasing the same goods and services.

Inflation is not a rise in prices. Inflation is the increase in the money supply which dilutes the buying power of each dollar. As the supply of fiat dollars increases it takes more and more to buy the same product. Here is an analogy for you: Take a glass of milk and begin pouring water in the glass. Eventually all the milk will be gone and you will have only water. This is the same thing that is happening to our money. We started with a dollar backed by gold. The Fed began pouring fiat dollars in until the gold-back dollars were completely gone. Now all we have is water.

Look at it another way. If you took a Federal Reserve Note $1 bill you got in 1963 and put it under your mattress, you would have lost 95% of its value. In 1963 that note would have bought 20 hershey candy bars or four gallons of gas. Now it will buy one hershey candy bar or about one-third of a gallon of gas.

        Best wishes,
        Bob

P.S. You are in a good place to learn what inflation truly is. Use the search term at the top of the page and type in the word “inflation.” You can also go here: http://mises.org/daily/908

      • denniso

Bob…Rising prices can come from demand, monopoly or panic…the price of food goes up because we are worried about the state of the world and then suppliers have the chance to raise prices. Everyone in a capitalist economy wants to raise prices anytime they can because everyone wants to make more money and get ahead of others and rise to the top…so any chance any seller gets she raises prices. If the market will bear the rise for whatever reason then the increases can sustain, and even continue…if things cost more ant the currency is stable then you have a certain rate of inflation. Sure,a growing money supply w/ no basis to it can cause inflation, but you can’t have a growing economy and population w/o a growing money supply. A floating currency gives a modern,hi tech, superpower economy the flexibility to adapt to quickly changing circumstances at home or abroad. It was never designed to steal from the common man but rather to make our economy function better and be able to essentially grow more wealth for more people in society.

Why does Freedomfighter chose to call me a liar? Because I recognise that capitalism and ‘free’ markets have inherent problems/flaws and need human control and regulation? Unless we are willing to drop wages to third world levels, capitalism on it’s own can never put everyone to work and will never remain stable for long w/o controls. All you have to do is look at history to know that.

      • DaveH

And by many of his post in the past he also suffers the same effects that that 40% also suffer, “ENVY” of anyone who’s made it.

      • denniso

Dear Bob…you say that capitalism is not ‘responsible’ for rising prices? Rising prices are an integral facet of capitalism, just as supply and demand are. When we have growth in demand prices rise because the suppliers can do it and the market will bear it because of the increased demand. If more producers come into the market or produce other options then the price can drop back down,in the long run. If there are monopolies and price fixing then prices will of course go up. Is it not part of capitalism that a monopoly can develop and unless the gov’t prevents it prices will increase and quality will drop? If you believe in absolutely ‘free’ markets w/ no gov’t intrusion or controls then you would have to believe that the markets will work everything out in the long term and police themselves to prevent monopolies and consolidation. No study of history shows that to be true or possible. People like DaveH,who seems to think we have had no corporate monopolies, are apparently blind to the history of capitalism.

      • Brian

        Denniso,
You weren’t paying attention during Econ 101, or did you even take the class? Inflation is NOT an inherent part of Capitalism. Inflation is caused by increasing demand or decreasing supply of a given item. In a purely Capitalistic system (none exists on earth at this time, not even here in the US) prices tend to stay stable barring problems in obtaining raw material. The problem today is that the Federal Reserve has VASTLY increased the supply of money (through ‘Quantative Easing’ parts I and II). Thus we have trillions more dollars chasing essentially the same amount of goods. Expanded money supply causes an increase in demand for all goods and services which results in spiking prices for those goods and services. This is the MAIN cause of the general inflation we have experienced in the last few months.

      • denniso

Brian, I’ve got a minor in Econ…you?? There is no such thing as perfect or ideal capitalism where supply always meets demand and resources are always at hand to produce products quickly to meet the demand. Markets are never totally free…monopoly, collusion, etc. The largest have the power to squash the smallest in the interest of maintaining their market and price structure.
Sure,in a theoretical capitalist system that is totally free,w/ no restrictions on raw materials,no limitations on commerce at all,no borders,no tarrifs,no gov’t involvement at the behest of corporations w/ political clout, perfect information and communication…supply can match demand and prices can remain stable. But just like the purity that the tea party demands, that sort of capitalism is a myth that never has and never will exist. Prices rise on average in every functioning capitalistic system in the world, whether under a ‘hard’ currency or paper dollars.

A couple of weeks ago I read an article about the 1932 Hoover / FDR campaign and the tactics used by FDR to defeat Hoover. It also discussed how Hover had gone overboard with government and taxes after the crash.

It then discussed how FDR had made Hoover look like a piker by comparison.

It sounded all too familiar to 2008 and Soetoro v Juan and now what Little Barry is doing once in power.

      • denniso

Al Seiber says that the dollar is ‘worth’ about 2-3 cents?? So, how is it that most people w/ a job can go out and buy a $25,000 car and afford it? Is that car really only worth $500??

You people need to learn some economics! The currency is worth what it will buy! A working family can buy a 3BR home,a car and afford to raise a couple of kids. True, the wealthy have been sucking up more of the total wealth and many working people are struggling due to relatively low wages compared to the price of goods, but most can live a normal and decent life, all on the dollars they earn at work. If the rightwing weren’t fighting tooth and nail to keep wages low and doing their best to bust unions, the working American would be doing better.

You should read some of the dangerous mentalities voiced by Mother Earth and her readers. If they had their way, we would all just kill ourselves and leave the earth “unmolested”.
