Blood In The Streets

June 29, 2011 by

Blood In The Streets

The headline above once pertained to bear markets and the pounding investors would take.* Nowadays, real blood is being spilled in Western democratic cities like Vancouver, Canada, and Athens, Greece. With America’s economy stuck in recession and with the dismal and arrogant leadership provided by President Barack Obama and Congress, it is not hard to imagine similar violence in American cities.

Such an idea would have seemed preposterous four years ago. But that was before the financial crisis of 2008. For three years, anger has been building — and not just in places like the Middle East where violence is as much a part of their culture as the Quran.

On June 15, riots broke out in Athens, the birthplace of democracy. On Tuesday, violence erupted again. The outbursts were ignited by further austerity measures ordered by the Greek government.

The free lunch Greek citizens have been getting for decades is being ripped off the table. The country has already gobbled up the first $139 billion European Union-led bailout. Any talks on a second bailout for Greece hinge on a further belt-tightening. The people of Greece, raised on socialist handouts, are in no mood to stay on a diet.

On June 15 and again Tuesday, protestors poured onto the streets throwing rocks at Parliament. Riot police finally quelled the unrest, but more violence is expected.

Last week, Greece was hit by rolling blackouts as workers at the main power utility began 48-hour rolling strikes to protest the company’s privatization, part of austerity plans needed to avoid a national debt default.

Selling off assets in the utility is a step the socialist government in Athens must take in its $71 billion privatization plan, which must be completed by 2015. The Greek people don’t want spending cuts and higher taxes. But the Greek Parliament is staring down the barrel of a gun. If it doesn’t implement changes by the end of the month, the country will not get the last $17 billion of bailout money.

To ease the crisis in Greece, EU finance ministers agreed to raise the amount of money they will provide for countries drowning in debt. The move is a last-ditch attempt to keep Greece’s financial crisis from spreading to Ireland and Portugal.

All of this has international bankers worried. Last week, Canada’s finance minister, Jim Flaherty, warned there is still “a real danger” of contagion from the ongoing debt crises in Europe, including the possibility of some damage to the country’s banking system.

“Canada is not an island — no country, any more, is an island — our economies are clearly interrelated,” Flaherty said at a breakfast appearance in Toronto following emergency discussions with other G7 countries.

It’s All Greek To Me

Flaherty should also worry about Canada’s homegrown rioters.  The same day Athens was burning, so was Vancouver.

On the evening of June 15, the team favored to win Game 7 of the Stanley Cup Finals, the Vancouver Canucks, lost. The Cup went to the Boston Bruins, who did not cheat their way to the NHL Championship or get help from the referees. They simply were the better team.

Like most sports fans, I am often brokenhearted. At the conclusion of most seasons, I say, “Wait until next year!” But thousands of Vancouver Canuck fans didn’t say that. Instead, they said things like: “Let’s blow up cop cars; let’s beat up bystanders; and let’s throw bricks though windows!” And that is exactly what they did.

More than 100 rioters were arrested by Vancouver police; as many as 1,000 people could face criminal charges. The dragnet will be aided by the audacity of the looters who photographed and videotaped their rampage and then displayed it on social media websites like Facebook.

The physical cost for the few hours of rioting is more than $1 million, but experts say the long-term damage to Vancouver’s tourist industry could be billions of dollars.

As in Athens, the rioters in Vancouver were mostly gangs of youths bent on creating chaos. This begs two questions:

  1. What would happen in a city like Vancouver if the fledgling economic recovery collapses and the citizens face hardship?
  2. What are the chances this kind of violence will erupt in the United States?

On FoxNews.com, Bill O’Reilly wrote: “The question is: Could this kind of thing happen in America? And the answer is yes. About half the population here now believes income redistribution is the right thing to do. We’re setting the table for violence in this country. Once people start depending on the government for their livelihood, for essentials, and then those essentials are taken away, you’re going to have violence. Also, the more loons there are, the more potential for violence there is. Those anarchists want to burn down everything.

“So we can watch this stuff in Vancouver and Greece, but we shouldn’t think it can’t happen here. The pinheads in America are mounting.”

Before you dismiss O’Reilly as a fearmongering right-wing extremist, it is worth noting that someone on the far left is also frightened of chaos coming to America. Democratic strategist James Carville spoke out about civil unrest that might spring from a still-sick U.S. economy on Don Imus’ syndicated radio show, Imus in the Morning.

“(The recession) is a terrible thing that has happened to people’s lives… If 54,000 (new) jobs is the new norm – this is going to be very, very tough. Some people say it just might be one more thing. We don’t know.”

Carville added that the consequences of America’s continuing financial crisis will not be limited to politics, and he warned of civil unrest because of the bleak economic situation.

“People, you know, if it continues, we’re going to start to see civil unrest in this country. I hate to say that, but I think it’s eminently possible.”

Carville and O’Reilly have agreed on something. If you don’t believe in the possibility, you would have to be naïve. Economic collapse almost always leads to civil strife. What the Vancouver riots demonstrated is that citizens today are spoiled and think they are entitled to whatever they expect.

I have a feeling the world’s staggering economic recovery is about to fall over dead. And not just for Greece. When that occurs, punks like those who rioted in Vancouver will have a lot more to be upset about than the fact their hockey team didn’t win.

Action to take: Take precautions for you and your family should there be violence in and around your neighborhood. Store extra food and water and have your home well secured. Also take whatever defensive measures you feel are prudent. Secure cash on hand and safely inside your home as well as physical gold and silver.

Yours in good times and bad,

One World Government is what the Multi-National Corporations want. They need Bigger Government to protect them from their smaller competitors. We, the citizens, need the smaller competitors. We need Smaller Government. Let’s get back to the wisdom of our Founders (Jefferson, Madison, Washington).
Read this article to see that the Democrats have their Crony Capitalists also. Don’t let them kid you that they’re against Big Corporations. They are just against the ones that aren’t their favorite Cronys:
    http://reason.com/archives/2011/05/10/environmentalists-were-for-fr

You might ask “What does that prove?”. Well, remember when the Environmentalists were pushing to convert gasoline powered cars to natural gas powered? Now, all of a sudden, they are railing against Natural Gas. Why? Because the alternative energy companies, which the Government has been aiding with our tax dollars and regulatory hobbling of their competitors, can’t compete against Natural Gas (not even close). Crony Capitalism at its finest.

  • M Wayne

The problem with Greece that’s not being mentioned, is that’s it’s the California of Europe. It’s the number 1 country from illegal African and Muslim immigrants to go. The illegals are now sucking the life out of Greece and the blame is now being put on citizens of Greece who paid in and expect to receive back. Another attempt to get western society to accept less to create a new world order.

    • wayne937

We should not provide Greece with a dime of our tax money. It was the people of Greece who squandered their money so why should we bail them out? Each and everyone of us need to take personal responsibility for our own deeds. If Joe does sosmething stupid and gets burned, why should anyone else have to sit on his blister. If this were the case Joe would not learn his lesson.

      • Vagabond

Wayne we shouldn’t be giving our money to a lot of countries who hate our guts. but those IDIOTS in washington keep sending it to them,

      • Cawmun Cents

        it’s tenatively known as”appeasement”!

  • http://goggle John Ouzts

Why has our elected leaders failed to lead us into a better future? We the people voted our President to office based on false promise. Why has our investigating team’s in Washington failed to do their job in keeping our country free from a dictator that is destroying all that the Constitution is based on. Our fore fathers all died in vein if we the people let this insanity continue, we still have the power of the vote but how long do you think that will be in play. I love my country my freedom and I know no other life. DO YOU!

    • Vagabond

no John. I did not vote for the bastard. a hell of a lot of IDIOTS did vote for him because he was so well qualified in their little STUPID minds,

  • Donald

Everybody take a deep breath and relax

    • Bleh

The time to relax is about over if not already. We need to fix our crap hole we have made and right soon at that.

  • BKWsr

There has allready been blood in our streets all across the country. Why is it up to the Euro Union to bail out Greeces problems. They refuse to solve their problems, The people don’t want to change they want their free hand outs. I say stop bailing out these parisites, When they run out money for their lack of change, Let them suffer for it. The same is said for California and any other state that won’t change their ways. Look at the waste you see around our cities, Super statiums, Oversize Government buildings, I could go on all day. How long is it going to take before they realise socialism is bad buisness. The high taxes we are already paying, city taxes, county taxes, state taxes, fed. taxes. Then you have one of the riches companies in the US that not only does not pay taxes but receives money from the Fed. Gov. the Oil companies. All the excuses they have to not pay, I have a lot of excuses also but the IRS would take all my property then lock me up. It is not to late to make a change in our country. The bomb has not gone of yet. We need to be prepared and ready for any action. Talk is cheap. I hear a lot of talking, but I see very little action around our country. We are very divided and that is the death of us who want change. Unity.

    • http://yahoo.com Gale

A house divided WILL NOT STAND. I agree with you. Quit all
the bickering and stand for a statesman. I personnaly think Ron
      Paul could lbe that statesman.

      • BKWsr

I think Ron would be okay, But as sad as it is to say he won’t win becuase he is white, and male.

      • DaveH

Ron Paul or Gary Johnson. But the MSM (and their corporate cronys) are going to do their best to marginalize Paul and Johnson. They do not want the Free Markets and Limited Government that Paul and Johnson propose, and they will do anything to stop them.

  • http://gjmorris@homesc.com jj

Blood does not and should not have to spill into our streets of America. What should be done to prevent it, is a small military group of ours go to washinton and with authority, arrest those responable for bringing about the problems we have now. They have broke laws and trampled not only on Gods laws, but our constitution. They want to control our country and our people. Why should people have to die, riot, etc for a small group of men and women that have brought evil upon us? This should not have to happen.

    • http://gjmorris@homesc.com jj

I miss-spoke, I should have said proper law inforcement agencies should go to Washington. And arrest the people that are breaking the law.

      • Curt

Law enforcement (or is that Law Breakers) agents will never rise against the government. A small military group will not work either. They have a large military backing them.

      • Don

jj, just who in the he!! are the proper law agency’s ? why don’t you lead the charge??????

      • http://gjmorris@homesc.com jj

Don, I have tried to lead the charge all over the net and people are not listening…God IS our only answer. I too have hoped and prayed that good men would do something, and there are a few that have tried and are still trying, but seem to be roadblocked at every turn. We are where we are because we threw God under the train and quit loving him , obeying him and depending on him. God allowed this man to become president to wake us up…to see we need him. We as a nation and a people need to admit to God we have left him and quit listening to him and ask him to forgive us and please help us. I am convinced man is not going to be able to fix this mess we’re in without Gods help. Man is going to try, but then without God, its still the same as saying, He can’t help us. BUT HE CAN! We have to do our part and want to change…change in the way we deal with our fellowman in all aspects, business to just doing the right thing. If we don’t, more is coming and we’ve lost. But it does not have to be this way.

    • Vagabond

jj. I agree with you. but who do you think is going to do this?

      • http://gjmorris@homesc.com jj

Well, vagabond, I guess if no one can do this, then its up to God. It just angers me so when there are already people in Washington that could stop a lot of things and won’t because they’re either afraid someone will let our their sins or they won’t be re-elected or they owe someone something, etc. I really wish they would quit thinking about themselves and help this country beore its too late.

      • Average Joe

Please don’t lump us all in the same category…As can be seen in this blog…many of us agree with you and want to end the travesty that is…”Government”…of the government, by the government and for the government…..never forget….we got screwed too….and we all want the same thing….individual liberty and the right to live our lives as we see fit…without infringment of others rights.

      • DaveH

        WIA,
I second Joe’s motion. It isn’t White Man who speaks with forked tongue, it is the White Leaders who speak with forked tongue.

      • Patty

WIA – I don’t disagree with you, but you will be sucking the same air from that wind.

I think this statement says it all:
““Canada is not an island — no country, any more, is an island — our economies are clearly interrelated,” Flaherty said at a breakfast appearance in Toronto following emergency discussions with other G7 countries”.
Really? Who says? Those pushing for One-World Government? Big Central Government is what got our country where it is now. Government is good for polarizing Citizens against each other. That is all that they do well.
One size does not fit all and never will. We don’t need even Bigger Central Government (One World Government). We need to shrink the one we have. Vote Libertarian. Send the Trouble Makers and the Controllers packing:

  • David

David Wilkerson saw in his visions “blood in our streets,” too…He wrote the “social aid programs will be cut back and curtailed,” affecting the minorities the most, resulting in rioting, bloodshed, looting and “blazing fires,” engulfing entire cities…George Washington also saw our towns and villages burning down to the ground by people from south of the border (your illegal aliens)…It is obvious that the Obama Administration can’t keep spending money like a drunken sailor and will have to severely cut back the welfare programs in some compromise with Congress…Folks, Expect a long hot bloody summer and fall.

  • Al Sieber

“Blood in the streets it’s up to my ankles, blood in the streets it’s up to my knees”, it’s coming when a loaf of bread cost $20, when the American people can’t take it anymore, when they lose everything they have. it could happen by December, or Oct., or they could continue the slow torture right up to the elections where we’re promised a solution, it’s called problem, reaction, solution they come up with the problem, see how we react and come up with a solution.. I don’t know how they can hold this country together another year. people need to wake up.

    • Dan az

      Hey Al
I don’t know exactly when but it will be this year for sure,Know doubt!
They think because world war 2 got us out of the depression that this time it will do the same.NOT!The lack of industry for one and the true reason were going into world war 3 the other. This time will be nuclear on both sides and the elite have there holes already dug to wait it out.The first nukes will be from us in way of bunker bombs with nuke war heads in iran. Not trying to predict anything just facts that I have found. The good thing is we will have allot less libs to deal with when the sleeper cells start moving.I don’t think during a time of war there will be any such thing as food stamps only bread lines. And the dreaded vouchers for 5 gals of fuel per week. What do you think ?

      • Kate8

Dan az – A possible scenario some are talking about is that, when things get so bad, maybe a nuke dropped somewhere and people are totally freaked out, there is a fake appearance from extraterrestrials, here to “help” us. It will be so convincing that most will fall for it.

Someone said that (Kissinger? Can’t recall) that what we need to get everyone to rally behind the NWO is a foe from beyond the Earth, an event that threatens all Earthly humanity.

One thing we can count on is that the elites have something up their sleeves. And I think you are right about it being this year. 11 is the number.

      • karolyn

Forget about fake extraterrestrials. It’s getting to be about time to have a visit from the real thing. Don’t forget December 21, 2012 is not that far away. We all just might be very surprised at what happens!

      • Average Joe

      • Kate8

“And He caused a great delusion to come over all the Earth because of their defiance, a deception so great that even the elect would be deceived, if it were possible…”

I have no doubt that the Universe is teeming with life. There’s also a good chance that some travel space, and have probably been here for a long time. Good ones and bad ones.

The point is, how do we know what’s real and what isn’t?

We must pray for discernment, that we may not be among the deceived.

      • Patty

Karolyn-That is the end of the Mayan calendar. Not christian. Mayan was a golden city. It will be the end of the gold standard and the beginning of a public NWO.

      • Average Joe

I believe that is called “The Hegelian Dialectic”.
        1) The government creates or exploits a problem blaming it on others
        2) The people react by asking the government for help willing… to give up their rights
        3) The government offers the solution that was planned long before the crisis
As Rahm Emanuel says, “Never let a crisis go to waste”…..especially when we can cause the crisis in the first place…..

      • Kate8

Average Joe – Yep. That’s it.

      • DaveH

Actually, Dan, WWII didn’t get us out of the Depression. Read this to learn more:

Dan, I hear you. there must be 25 million unemployed in this country and about 43+ million on food stamps, and how long will they keep people on unemployment? everything ends eventually. but you have a good point there. my son is working in Kingman for a few weeks now, and he wants me to get him a job at the mine near Oatman, they pay $28 a hour and he’s a diesel mechanic for Waste Management out of Flagsaff now but, I think I can get him in out at the mine, then he can work on my back hoe in his spare time Ha! There has been and still is a disconnect between Washington D.C. and the working tax paying citizens of this country. The Greedy Politicians have over spent for years, I thought George W. Bush was a liberal spender till we got Obama…it is disgusting. The Greedy Politicians have padded their personal accounts along with Wall Street.

Corporate America has been the Greediest of all and you can see that the mess that we are in presently. I fully expect there to be Martial law implemented in the near future.

I am in my late fifties, a Vietnam War Era Veteran and paid in $150.000 into the Social Security System in my life-time, but the thieving “Politicians” all over America have stollen all of my money that “I” paid in and the companies that “I” worked for all of my life paid in to Social Security and Medicaid.

I can assure you that I talk to a lot of people and they all feel as I do, they are sick and tired of “The Politicians and Corporate America” thieviing everything that they have worked for in thier lives.

I see “Revolt” comming in America’s future and sad to say Martial law. All because of mis-management , thieving politicians , corporate greed and under estamating how upset the American people really are at this point.

The goal of the Socialist liberals in Washington DC is to have American rioting in the streets then they will have an excuse to try
and take aways guns from Americans and declare martial law so they
can abolish elections until the country is “Stable”. That is all the
excuse the need to destroy our nation and return to the days of Kings and Queens. If you doubt this look to what they are doing daily
to your freedom and liberty. The politicians are placing more and
more restriction upon the lawabiding Americans citizens. This is
the most corrupt regeim the United States has ever seen. They are
fulley commited upon destroying the Constution of the United States
and establishing their own delusional form of government.

    • http://google gary gerke

James, you are right on the money. The approximate 600 FEMA camps are being set up for the event of civil uprisings. Many of these camps are already staffed with guards, that would indicate the government thinks civil unrest is a possibility in the very future!

      • (WIA) Wild Indian in Action

gary gerke, can you say Federal Indian Reservations!

The Reservations are a travisty. It is a sad part of US history, But then agaian as with all countries there are sad times and actions in history. The best thing to due for us is to build our selves back up. We get on our feet and say enough. We start with our communities then advance from there. • JeffH

The big question is this, have the FEMA camps ever been used during a catastrophic disaster of any kind?

Rex 84: FEMA’s Blueprint for Martial Law in America
The plan is called REX 84, short for Readiness Exercise 1984. Through Rex-84 an undisclosed number of concentration camps were set in operation throughout the United States, for internment of dissidents and others potentially harmful to the state.

The Rex 84 Program was originally established on the reasoning that if a “mass exodus” of illegal aliens crossed the Mexican/US border, they would be quickly rounded up and detained in detention centers by FEMA.

Existence of the Rex 84 plan was first revealed during the Iran-Contra Hearings in 1987, and subsequently reported by the Miami Herald on July 5, 1987.

” These camps are to be operated by FEMA should martial law need to be implemented in the United States and all it would take is a presidential signature on a proclamation and the attorney general’s signature on a warrant to which a list of names is attached.”
And there you have it ~ the real purpose of FEMA is to not only protect the government but to be its principal vehicle for martial law.

This is why FEMA could not respond immediately to the Hurricane Katrina disaster ~
humanitarian efforts were no longer part of its job discription under the Department of
        Homeland Security.
It appears Hurricane Katrina also provided FEMA with an excuse to “dry run” its unconstitutional powers in New Orleans, rounding up “refugees” (now called “evacuees”) and “relocating” them in various camps. “Some evacuees are being treated as ‘internees’ by FEMA,” writes former NSC employee Wayne Madsen.

“Reports continue to come into WMR that evacuees from New Orleans and Acadiana [the traditional twenty-two parish Cajun homeland] who have been scattered across the United States are being treated as ‘internees’ and not dislocated American citizens from a catastrophe”

Governor Tom Vilsack of Iowa, called the proposal ” one step away from a complete takeover of the National Guard, the end of the Guard as a dual-function force that can respond to both state and national needs.”

The “List of Executive Orders” that FEMA has, it is very clear that they do have quite a bit of power. Examples of the orders state that FEMA may take over all forms of transportation, control all communication, take over all natural resources and electrical power, acquire all farms and food resources, railroads, health facilities, and other important parts of our nation.

      • Kate8

JeffH – Good job coming up with that one!

We must also remember that we the people have no value to the government except for however they can exploit us. The military has been granted the authority to conduct any kind of experimentation or drills on us they choose to do, and we have no recourse.

The number of lives they ruin in the process is of no consequence to them. They are out of control, and the government has become a blood-sucking beast that needs to be fed, and fed, and fed…

Today, we have no other purpose except to serve the elite. When we think FEMA, it’s good to keep this in mind.

Kate8, no doubt about it..FEMA CAMPS ARE REAL! Congress Seeks to Authorize & Legalize FEMA Camps

        H. R. 645 – To direct the Secretary of Homeland Security to establish national emergency centers on military installations.

Apparently, the fusion centers, militarized police, surveillance cameras and a domestic military command is not enough. Even though we know that detention facilities are already in place, they now want to legalize the construction of FEMA camps on military installations using the ever popular excuse that the facilities are for the purposes of a national emergency. With the phony debt based economy getting worse and worse by the day, the possibility of civil unrest is becoming a greater threat to the establishment. One need only look at Iceland, Greece and other nations for what might happen in the United States next.

With this in mind, it appears as if these so called national emergency centers will be used in a national emergency but only if the national emergency requires large groups of people to be rounded up and detained. If that isn’t the case, than why have these national emergency facilities built in military installations?

James R. Maxwell, study American Indian History by A. I. scholars, we fought for freedom and will continue to do so for our Indian Country, what makes you think we won’t again. In my cold dead hands!

      • Average Joe

I am a firm believer that everything the Government stole from the Indians should be given back ASAP!….Unfortunately, I was not born an Indian…..and I want to slap someone over it…but I’m not sure where to start…..To live in harmony with nature….the Indians had it right and we screwed the pooch on this one.

      • Kate8

Average Joe – Here we go again with more moronic liberal idiocy.

Conquest is the way of the world. If every nation had to give themselves over to those they conquered, what a mess…and how far back does one go? Because NO country is populated with its original people.

And no people have ever been an ideal culture. Much as certain historians (with an agenda) like to romanticize about other cultures, it’s seldom close to the truth. The American tribes were constantly at war with each other, similar to the Muslim tribes have always been. It’s a good lesson in what happens to a divided nation…

Add to that, not one of us alive today had anything to do with it, yet you would have us all carry the guilt, even as far as making “reparations”. All people’s of the Earth have suffered at the hands of others at some point in history. And no one ancestry has clean hands.

A better idea is to let go of the past and move forward, determined to become better peoples…together.

      • Average Joe

        Kate8,
I have no guilt over the matter…as you said, I had nothing to do with what had happened. I do however feel that what was done was wrong on so many levels. As for not being born an Indian, It is all about the culture and heritage that facinates me…and many of their rituals and ceremoies etc, are not shared with outsiders…and these are the things I would like to learn about…but not being born an Indian, precludes me from knowing these things. Maybe deep down, I just long for the simple life afforded in that era…as opposed the insane non stop hustle and bustle world we live in today.

      • DaveH

        Average Joe,
You’re a Liberal? Is Kate correct? You could have fooled me. No, if you are, you did fool me, lol.

      • Kate8

I don’t think Average Joe is a liberal It’s the whole give-the-country-back-to-the-Indians thing that comes from the liberal camp.

Does Austrailia need to hand their country back to the Aborigine? How about Canada? The British Isles were taken from the Celts by the Romans, and the Jews were driven out of the middle east by the Islamic tribes. Of course, the Spaniards pretty much took over Central and South America…let’s see…And the conquest of nations continues to this day.

My point is, America is not unique in having settled a new land. It’s the way of the world.

BTW, I have had many close Native friends, and I have studied their culture and, being an artist, have exchanged creative ideas with them for years. I love them all – wonderful, big-hearted people. We do well to listen to their great wisdom on many things.

Alas, in all of nature, to the victor go the spoils, for better or worse. By the looks of things, the American civilization will soon fall to yet another…I guess you could call that justice.

      • Average Joe

        Me….liberal?……..Hang on still laughing…..Ok , done now …..them’s fightin’ words….lol

      • Kate8

Average – Read my above post. I know you are not liberal. What you said was typical liberal nonsense, that’s all.

      • Average Joe

I am still trying to figure out what was “moronic liberal idiocy” in my statements. Was it …to recognize that a group of people were wronged by our government? Was it that when something that has been stolen from someone, that it should be returned? Was it feeling compassion for a group of people who have been wronged by others ( no matter who those people happen to be)? Was it …wanting to live in harmony with my surrondings while doing as little damage as possible to those surrounding? (before someone comments..no, I am not a global warming conspiritor) Maybe it was wanting to live within another cultural group in order to gain another perspective on life from their eyes? Or, could it be being enamored by someone elses culture and heritage?
I fail to see what it is that you consider “moronic liberal idiocy”.
I would think that being a “Christian”, you would find all of these traits (compassion, the want of making wrong things right, understanding of other peoples core beliefs and values from their own histories, not wanting to destroy my surroundings through personal responsibility) to be admirable traits (not liberal, conservative or any other collective mindset)…I guess maybe I was wrong about my “Christian” values…either that or maybe yours have been tainted….just a thought……

      • Jana

Kate8 never said Average Joes was a liberal. She simply stated the ideology was liberal.
        Come on people.

I use to be a borderline racist when it came to North American Indians. My 83 year old uncle that still lives on the family homestead here in Canada that my grandparents settled in 1908. He got me to read some books and helped educate me. A great book really worth reading is: Chief Joseph & the Flight of the Nez Perce: The Untold Story of an American Tragedy.

You can find the book at Amazon.com

I live in a large Canadian city and I see a once proud people brought to their knees by the welfare state, alcohol and drugs. It is very sad.

But no, we can’t turn back time and have a re-do in our history. But maybe we can learn from it. Henry Ford was wrong. History is not bunk.

      • Patty

I am American Indian. We lost the fight, not the war. In order to do that, they would have to have exterminated everyone of us. So long as humanity exists, there will be give and take. They took for generations and degradated every tribe. But, we are not extinct. We will survive. And we will survive this latest assult on humanity.

      • Jana

        Patty,
We all will, and we will even be stronger for it.
Looking back in history, the Indians, the Jews, the Irish, the Blacks, the Japanaese, the Vietnamese and on and on have all had adversity in their history. But we have all been overcomers, and we still are. We are now just called AMERICANS.

Karolyn. People are scared and have little to no hope for their future and that or their kids and these sites and their rants are a way of showing that they are not alone out there and is a way of letting off some steam.

Most of my friends here in Canada are in the see no evil and hear no evil camp and it concerns many of us that they are not more aware of just how precarious the world economic situation really is. Here people are not saving any money nor having any plan for their future and relying on the Gov. to save them. That is just plain stupid.

While your current crop of politicians are contributing to the US problem and in denial the stage was set for this 20 years ago with a series of decisions by your various politicians and things appear to be coming to a head and we all had better get prepared for what is coming. Prepare financially (save some money, buy some silver or gold coins) prepare emotionally, prepare for your safety if things go bad , like an insurance policy and hope you never have to use it.

I fear that women and kids will bear the brunt as they usually do in major social unrest.

Dig a little deeper and even you might see the light. It won’t be long before you will be wishing for that alternative energy source to fuel your air conditioner in Arizona.

      • JeffH

DaveH, you just hurt eddie’s feelings…again! Of course he’s incapable of comprehending the the difference between “naturally occuring” climate change and the extremist’s myth of “man made” climate change. Afterall, it is eddie…who just “doesn’t get it”!

The news said today if global warming continues we could be having an increase in global warfare. So bury your heads in the sand and reap what you sow.

      • Patty

Eddie – Research past the talking points. Climate is cyclical. Just like humans. 7 year cycle pre-puberty, 14 puberty, 21 post puberty, etc. Where do you think they get the term 100 year flood? You could go back even further if they had kept records. Gore and GE (how much bigger corp. conglomerate you want to pick) are cashing in on a cycle. It has taken them so long to buffalo everyone that now we are starting to cool. And they are blaming that on climate change. Talk to a farmer. At mine, I have the year of the frog, year of the snake, year of the grasshopper, etc. It is all cyclical. This is the biggest scam to tax your every breath. If Gore really believed this crap, would he be consuming the energy of an entire suburb of 50k residents on his own? Think about it. Don’t just be a mouth piece for talking points. You need to read more. Experience more.

So karolyn and no1 are you saying those riots in Cali, New Oleans, Chicago, Florida, and a few other states never happened? Are you saying this is all some made up stories just to scare us. If not then why are you calling this scare tactics by right winged fear mongers. Most people hear would definately not call me right wing. Though I do support them over your left handed views.(except 1). So instead of just calling names give a stance. Just becuase we have differnt apinions, And I think your dunce doesn’t give me a right to call you one. So why the typical comments you guys like to make. Is it because you actually know they are right.

      • karolyn

I didn’t say they never happened. I just feel that the talking heads pereptuate the hate and anger that drives them in the first place. They never write anything good. “As ye think so shall ye be.” Dwelling on the negative only begets more negative.

      • BKWsr

It is a shame that in all of our news networks that the stories most reported are these sad crimes we read about. This network is an informative type that is out only to report to people these events that the majority of these people on here support. We all have our differnce in apinions. What is important is we understand that no 2 people will have the exact same apinion. Another thing important to remember is we can’t hide from the truth. You can’t deny your neighbors house is on fire when evidence says it is. The same for crime. The only reason the criminal hasn’t robbed you yet is because he knows you are ready for them, or they just haven’t noticed you yet.

Karolyn, I think what people on here are trying to say to one another, is be prepared. It’s not fear-mongering to try to prepare for what it seems is coming. Remember Katrina? It took all of 3 days for civilization to break down. What do you think is going to happen when food becomes scarce, or power goes out, or people’s welfare checks stop coming and they have nothing to fall back on? I like to know that I can survive on my own without the government’s help, and be able to protect myself from people who have not prepared and will be looking to take whatever they can. So yeah, carry on with the good vibes, but when the s### hits the fan, you’re going to need more than those vibes to survive.

      • karolyn

WIA – Because I believe in ending the war on drugs and change in the government. I don’t agree with his stand on abortion, but at least he leaves that to the states. In general, I really do believe in smaller government. However, if it comes down to Obama vs. Rommney (or Bachmann or Palin), I will certainly vote for Obama.

      • JeffH

…and there you have it folks…”if it comes down to Obama vs. Rommney (or Bachmann or Palin), I will certainly vote for Obama.”

        Clueless, totally clueless!

By the way, Romney = yuck! :(

      • Patty

Karolyn – Why wouldn’t you vote for Bachmann or Palin? Because the ONE issue you don’t agree with them on is abortion? The one? I will personally guarantee you, they will not touch abortion’s legality. Who pays for it maybe, but it will never go away. So, with that off the table, why would you not vote for one of those 2?

      • karolyn

Patty – Bachmann does not want to leave Afghanistan. I don’t know Palin’s stance, but who does?

      • Jay

Karolyn stated:Patty – Bachmann does not want to leave Afghanistan.

Can you back that up, you slanderous hypocrite? Its obama and the greedy whores he sleeps with that will never leave the middle east, or Afghanistan, for that matter!

      • Kate8

karolyn – You won’t vote for Bachmann because you think she won’t leave Afghanistan?

Obama won’t leave Afghanistan. In fact, he’s spreading wars across the middle east.

Yet, you will vote for him.

        Hypocrite, indeed.

      • JeffH

karolyn says “…Bachmann does not want to leave Afghanistan. I don’t know Palin’s stance, but who does?”

Bachmann says: “Let me tell you this: As president of the United States, I would — knowing that we have a war hero like Gen. Petraeus — I would call Gen. Petraeus into my office. We would have a very short conversation. It would be something like this: It would be, “General, how quickly can we conclude the war in Afghanistan?” No. 2, “What do you need?” And I would, I would trust his judgment.”

Your words aren’t the same as the ones out of Bachmann’s mouth, quoted from your trusted NPR are they?

“General, how quickly can we conclude the war in Afghanistan?” and “What do you need?(…to conclude the war in Afghanistan)?”
Just doesn’t sound like someone who wants to stay in Afghanistan does it?

      • DaveH

It does sound, Jeff, like Michele comes straight down into the militarist camp:
        http://www.michelebachmann.com/issues/security/

      • eddie47d

Jeff;Petraeus supports the war (obviously). The question should be to Michelle ,”What is she going to do if Petraeus doesn’t give her the right answer”. Nixon also promised to end the Vietnam war and quickly. It lasted another 5 years. Obama could even surpass Nixon’s pandering to the public and the Generals. We’ve all been blinded before by all those lights at the end of the tunnel.

      • JeffH

DaveH, Bachmann has expressed frustration with the war in Afghanistan in the past, telling CNN in May that she was, “tired of Afghanistan and Iraq, too. I think we need to get out. I think Afghanistan is — on many, many levels, it doesn’t seem we’re gaining any ground. I want to reduce U.S. exposure in Afghanistan. So, let’s get them out as quickly as we can,” before adding that “generals on the ground” should be the experts on troop decisions.

      • JeffH

eddie says…”Jeff;Petraeus supports the war (obviously).” Is that a conundrum?

How can you even make a statement like that? Obviously? Think man, think…just once before you speak!

What is Petraeus job to do as a General and commander of ISAF?
Hint: Obey his Oath of Office(oath for commissioned officers) and obey and support the commander in chief.

        Show where Petraeus(0bviously)supports the war?

The day that they realize the hand writing on the wall will be when they are the very ones in the streets rioting because of the lack of food stamps and freebies that they will know longer have.If they would notice that the ones that are rioting are them and not the working conservatives that feed them they would realize that their time has come and that alone scares them. The first to die will be the hungry and it may not be by way of starving. It will be by lead poisoning!

Most Americans have their head in the sand. Hey – Ignoring something does not make it go away.

What are most going to do when and if someone tries to harm you and your loved ones?

You have a God given right and a 2ND Amendment guarantee to protect yourself and loved ones (at least for now). The government is slowly trying to abolish the 2ND Amendment.

Police? Ha! Remember they COME AFTER THE FACT – if at all.

This has been Obama’s plan from the beginning. That’s why he wants bigger government and unions! They are to make up his fighting force along with illegal aliens. It’s sad but there is no stopping it if the debt limit is raised. The FBI, Congress & Senate know he is not qualified to hold the office of the President of the United States, but they are not doing anything about this??? I would say that they are in with the whole thing!!!

    • DaveH

Most no doubt are in with it. We get what we wished for when we took the smooth talkers at their word and took away other peoples’ freedoms because we didn’t share them. The leaders play us like fiddles, as they appeal to one side or the others pet peeves, and keep growing the Government bigger. The only way things are going to change is if we can come to grips with the reality that we must respect the freedom of others if we want them to respect our freedom.

  • Ralph Roshto

    Patriots,
Stock up on the essentials, like food, medicine, and fuel, but most importantly, BUY AMMUNITION! A shotgun will not only discourage a crowd, but will also be able to harvest food. Soon, the ammunition will not be available, because the government will stop ALL sales of weapons and ammunition once the revolution erupts. Have an escape route planned, and don’t rely on cell phones, as the government will cut these off too. Plan on alternate safe houses. Gather the people in your neighborhood and establish plans for watches and patrols. When the collapse occurs, it will be surprisingly fast. Newscasts will be government controlled, if not altogether eliminated. Stock up on everything you will need to sustain your family in case of long periods of no electricity. You will not have refrigeration. Be prepared…society will break down to thugs leading gangs of bandits who prey upon those people who are not prepared, and will not hesitate to take over you, your family, and your town. After all, what do they have to loose once they loose their precious government handouts! And THEY will be ARMED!
Teach your wives and children how to shoot a gun. Teach them how to be aware of strangers casing your homes and neighborhoods, slowly driving by to check out who is there, and who can be easily taken advantage of. When the phones and power goes out, there will be no calling the police…the police will be busy defending their own families.

Be prepared. Be ready. It’s inevitable. The revolution is coming…again.

Greece is where it is due to corruption. 25% of population works underground in the black markey, 25% “work” for the government and retire at 55, 25% are professionals and business people who never declare their income to be more than $15,000 and theefore do not pay taxes. The other 25% are the poor suckers who have taxes deducted at source and that is what keeps the Greek government afloat.
When you have th top 5% of US citizens costing the government to borrow $800 billion a year to support their tax breaks and have now added $5trillion to the national debt, then you can see where things are going.
The Wall Street banksters have never been charged with their recklessness, you have states that have declared that there should be no new tax increases while infrastructure around them crumbles and decays and you start then to understand why Greece has deteriorated to where it is about to collapse.
A country cannot keep on printing money, increasing the debt ceiling, reducing taxes whilst it continues to borrow recklessly, and you have the sceene set for a Greece happening in the US. It is not if, but when. My reckoning will be this September or October. Don’t tell me the problem is the Government which even now cannot provide basic upkeep of infrastructure, but it is the lack of fiscal prudence that the parties in Washington are not prepared to tackle, with the inevitable collaspe of the whole stack of cards in the very near future,ie this year. The party of “Hell No” needs to become the “Hell Yes” and the sooner the better.

    • Vigilant

“When you have the top 5% of US citizens costing [sic] the government to borrow $800 billion a year to support their tax breaks and have now added $5trillion to the national debt, then you can see where things are going.”

You could tax EVERYONE at 100% rate and still not solve the debt problem. The $800 billion you speak of is NOT a cost. Government SPENDING $800 billion that need not be spent IS a cost.

When we look at the financial profligacy that put the economy of the UK in big trouble, due to social welfare programs, I hardly think we need any advice from that quarter. Wake up, Brit.

Get real, Karolyn. Who are you kidding? States are in trouble for one reason only — too much wasteful spending. The results are in, it doesn’t work. You can Hope and Dream all you want, but experience proves your article wrong.

        http://www.cato-at-liberty.org/canadas-spending-cuts-and-economic-growth/

      • DaveH

And of course the Government spending cuts will result in increased unemployment in the near term. Jobs just don’t immediately get created. It takes time. Remember how the Obama administration and the Liberals whined that we couldn’t expect immediate results from their “stimulus”? Well, it’s been 2 and 1/2 years now. I’m still waiting.
How can anybody who pays attention think the Government, which can’t run the Post Office, which can’t run Social Security, which can’t run Medicare, which can’t run Fannie Mae or Freddie Mac, which can’t run Amtrak, is going to somehow start spending the citizens’ money more productively than the citizens can spend their own money?

      • charlie

I have long heard, and truly believe, that if all the money in the US was divided equally among all the people in the US, in 30 days it would be right back to where it was originally.

      • Kate8

The stimulus is, indeed, getting results. Exactly the results they were after.

      • eddie47d

The Post Office is still a trusted institution and most employees can be trusted to do a good job. The major problem is the 75 billion that the government “borrowed” from their pension fund for other things. Now the Post Office is told to build up those same funds (5 billion per year) while losing money to the internet buyers and to higher gas prices. The Post office(by law) can’t involve/improve themselves in growing their business if it takes away from the private sector. They are definetely stuck in a hole with few ways to dig out.

      • Patty

Eddie – that pension fund and all gov’t. pension funds should never had existed. You cannot work for 25-30 years and retire for 25-30 years of non production and expect there to be enough at thier rate of pension payments. They will be left out in the cold just like the rest of us fools for getting into 401k’s. None of us will see retirement, why should they?

Apparently Sweden had a 3.6% surplus Prior to the 2008-09 recession and I am assuming do not have a drunken wasteful spending problem as they appear to be “Sane”.
Here in the US we do not have a revenue problem, but instead have a spending problem. If our Government could reign in the drunken spending of the “insane” for a similar surplus, I bet we would be in excellent shape. Unfortunately no matter how much revenue our Government gets they have this “insane” need to spend more than they receive. That is the problem and that will likely continue to be the problem for the foreseeable future.

All he finds is Conservative organizations which does the same no matter how well another country is doing.I doubt if most Americans sabotage the good things in this country like you do for your twisted version. Your way or the highway, right Dave. Sweden IS doing good so stop throwing glass in another countries eyes because it doesn’t fit into your scheme of things. You like to brag about cities like Singapore and Hong Kong but they can’t be compared to a whole country. Take the best that all have to offer and get this country moving.Sweden has a fairly good track record so give their excellent accomplishments a chance.

      • eddie47d

Another thing Mr anti-union troll(that’s you Dave) for the corporate Elites. Sweden has a company called IKEA which pays it’s employees $19 an hour, does well, has a good safety record ,5 weeks vacation from the company. They also have a few stores in the USA but the one in Virginia called Swedwood IKEA start out paying $8 an hour and doesn’t go much higher. This is a wood working plant which builds the furniture for the company and they have few benefits. They also have mandatory overtime and employees are forced to work on weekends when asked and they ask this on Friday nights. How thoughtful of them especially when management put’s “lost worktime” in their files and can be used against the employees even after 40 hours. . What’s the difference, UNIONS. Sweden pays well with unions and the country does well. American companies stop unions and pay crap and our country does poorly. Not only that IKEA USA is run by American corporates who hire anti-union thugs (lawyers) to force these companies to keep paying low wages and few benefits. These lawyers(Jackson Lewis Firm) get paid hundreds of thousands of dollars to do this. Yes Dave that is the American way! So if there is rioting in the streets in the USA take a look at your corporate Elites who treat some employees like crap while they hire lawyers to keep them that way.

Dave and Jana-All true. I was just pointing out a non-violent way to make a point. Our borrowing power is all but gone. If it takes bankrupting this country, ok. Not that we are not already there. I have been preparing for this. I can live for about a year and not spend money. Anything I owe on (home) I can walk to my bank and pay in USD. That is what my loan contract says I have to pay in. Property taxes, same thing. I have items to barter/trade. The money stashed has already been taxed. I rotate my stash of gas. I just think that if the tax payers stopped paying, they would have to negotiate with us. Give me a red pen, I can get that budget balanced, never touch social security or medicare and have money left over. I would do it the same as we all do our own home budget, just add more zeros.

        Patty,
You said give you a red pen, you could slash that budget. I would love to give you a red pen for that. The problem is we could all do some common sense budget slashing from the Gov’t. How come our ELELCTED Reps can’t?

in the ratio of not greater than 3 percent (and which may be zero) for that portion of its total transaction accounts of $25,000,000 or less, subject to subparagraph (C); and

Here we go. Graeme B is showing us the light by blamiong the “rich fat cats”. The reality is there are producers and consumers. Tax the rich (by Democratic definition is anyone making over $250k). This catagory of income is largely responsible for producing. Thus what they produce will have a price placed upon it to consume. Increase the cost of production (increase taxes) the cost to consume goes up. Who the he!! do you think is going to pay for that? The poor people. Blame the rich, but it is the lowest consumers that suffer from reckless taxation without constrained spending.

We could get rid of the big spending Congress, federal taxes, cabinet departments, and let states care for themselves. Elect the President and he serves at his own expense. I suspect his entire “presidency” (think banana republiK “presidency”) has had this as a goal from the beginning.

    • Vagabond

Gene that is all the more reason for stocking up on plenty of AMMO. as well as food,

” it is not hard to imagine similar violence in American cities”

obozo wants this to take place, then he plans to involk martial law and be dictator in chief for life (or for george soros.)

    • wayne937

David, you could be right about this.

    • Penny R. Freeman

That’s true. Clinton, Gore, Obama, and Soros are just a few of the names to be involved in the drive to get a one world government. This has been underway for quite some time. What makes you think violence hasn’t already reached our shores? I don’t remember where it was but some time ago there was rioting in a U.S. city because the city’s team lost their title game. Look at the gangs of young thieves who are more and more going into stores en masse to steal/destroy whatever they can. But we can’t restrict the sale of violent video games to children according to our courts because it would violate first amendment rights. There was an incident in Memphis recently of a mother who used her two children to help her rob more than one Target. She took the kids in the store, got one of those electronic games (I think the news said it was a Wii or however you spell that one), took it out of the box, had the younger child sit on top of it while the other child pushed the shopping cart out of the store where she met them and put what they had together stolen into her car and left. She went on to other Targets and did the same thing using her children. Apparently one of the stores in Memphis warned the one nearby in Mississippi because when she tried the same thing there the police grabbed her before she could get away. I know that’s not an example of violence, it’s an example of how not only has the family broken down in this country but one of the ways parents are corrupting their children. This parent isn’t the first I’ve heard of that used children to commit crimes. I suspect the gangs that are robbing stores in groups are kids whose families are some that are broken. In this country single parent homes are more prevalent than ever. Just one more reason kids lack discipline and never learn to respect authority. Yes American are becoming more and more dependent on the government hand outs and less educated and willing or able to work to earn their way. It’s a sad situation when more and more money is thrown at the public school sytem in an attempt to get children a better education while more and more high school graduates that apply for entry into college can’t even read well enough to pass the ACTs. It’s not money that will fix that situation it’s more involvement by the parents. The better educated the public is the less dependent and more independent we as a people will be. Every change needed to get this country out of our economic mess, away from the corruption of our government, and better educate our children is to rebuild the foundation of this nation by rebuilding the family and teaching children discipline and respect for authority starting with respect for their parents.

      • Kasi (CONSERVATIVE)

Penny, you are correct,it all starts with the parents first but the parents have handed their children over to the state in the name of “EDUCATION”.I was speaking to a 5th grade school teacher this weekend and she told me that one of her colleagues makes $80,000.00 a year and she is a gym teacher. My point here is that all that money which is more per student than any other county on earth, most of it the kids dont see,its the teachers and the teachers unions or their, pensions.Making 80k a year (oh 3 months vacation per year)and we still have to pay for her pension.just one tiny example of how screwed up things have become due to the left and their “ideas”

      • Jana

Obama will call of elections as soon as any touble starts which is what he is hoping for. All planned by Soros and his commie bunch from the beginning. Why can’t one republican grow a spine long enough to start impeachment against Obama for treason.

      • MarkRB

Trust me…there are state militias countrywide that will not sit by idly while Obama tries to install martial law to suppress the vote.

      • LTC (Rt) Ray Burke

If marshal law is ever declared, the militia movement will be Obama’s first target. I wonder how many of us really have the courage to resist. It takes guts to stand your ground in defense of your God given rights. Let us hope there are enough of us to prevail.

      • DC/Tex

Sounds like you are talking about Hitler, history repeats it’s self. Why cant we learn from history? Could it be that our public schools are teaching their slanted view of history to promote the current agenda?

      • Kate8

DC/Tex – Gee, do ya think?

  • TIME

If any of you think this can’t happen here in the USA, well guess what. “Its COMING” and you paid a lot of good money to insure that it happens.
You have paid the NWO Trillions of your hard earned Dollars stolen from you by way of your TAX dollars.

You really just gotta love a strong investment, I know the NWO gang of Progressive’s are enjoying the fruits $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$ of their labors.

    • Kate8

TIME – You got it right. Whenever violence and mayhem have erupted in cities and nations, it is always because there are those with an agenda fomenting it.

The “poor” have been set up…given a free ride and they feel entitled. Then the Left has been seducing them into feeling that they are being somehow shortchanged and deserve more. Rip even what they have out from under them along with inciting them into hatred and resentment toward the “haves” and, of course, organize them into seething mobs, and what do you get…

We are being set up for street violence. All we hear is how the rest of the world is erupting, and it will soon be here. The PTB, assisted by the media, are making sure of it. People don’t just spontaneously run into the streets at the same time, setting fires and destroying things. They have to be organized.

If this wasn’t being done deliberately, with a goal in mind, then we’d hear how to cope and stay calm. Rather than showing (and promoting) violence, the media would be showing people working together, finding solutions, helping one another, and maybe even praying for guidance. Why not be saying things like mobs and violence are not the American Way? That we are better people than this, that Americans are about solutions?

Commies always stir up revolution, and they always do it the same way. And people never figure it out, and continue to fall for it, even to their own demise.

      • Dave

You are right about the commies. Get this: Obama’s father was a communist, many in his admin. are communists, most of his mentors are communists. Why the hell are we calling this pig a Socialist. He’a a freakin’ commie and should be dealt with accordingly. I prefer the bullet through the head solution, another motherf****r in a motorcade.

      • Kate8

Dave – You are right about Obama, his associates and his administration being commie. But go further, and you will find out that communism is just a tool of the NWO, as is any other form of government, including democracy (which is only a step away from socialism).

They don’t care what you call it – communism, socialism, fascism…it’s all headed for the same endgame: total control by a central, world governing corporatocracy.

      • Angel Wannabe

  • Pete

John Myers sure is right, we are going to see more blood in the streets. We are sure coming up to a “Great Reckoning” of sorts ! Good bye “Grosse Point” ! Good bye Beverly Hills ???!!

Turn your house into a survival bunker, at least put in a “Panic Room” . I guess it all comes down to how much money you have. The more money and or gold/silver you have, the more the looters can take …

It’s going to be starving masses, like locust, coming out of the major cities. Kind of like the Korean War, when all those commie Chinese invaded – wave after wave ! The machine gun barrels warped from overheating, just to many commies to kill !! But his time instead of just a million or two, it’s going to be more like 10 million, armed and motivated looters and parasites, coming out of NYC or LA. Then you got to deal with the crazy starving suburbanites, living on their USELESS 1/4 acre of property.. etc.

I guess America has made a “few mistakes”, NOW WE ARE GONNA’ PAY !!

      • DaveH

All of the Freedom lovers need to work together. We need to put aside religious differences and get this job done.

      • Angel Wannabe

Daveh, I beg to differ, any amount of reading original & biblical history, both American and World History, all of it shows, that any of the Heroic leaders were in fear and consulted their God on constant basis. I realize you are and atheist, that’s not a problem with me nor any of my business. But The problem comes in, when people try to change facts, when they’re in disagreement with the facts. You may want to separate the two because of unbelief, but to a Christian, in their reality, you can’t.

      • Kate8

        Well said, Angelwannabe.

As Christians, we cannot separate our faith from what we do. Our pursuit of freedom and our determination to save our nation are entirely inseparable (and futile) without trust in God.

To “put aside” our faith is to render our acts meaningless, and would require putting our trust in man (and money?), which don’t have much of a track record.

      • wayne937

Samurai, Bert is to be pitied. Anyone who would say things like this is most likely a Hitler Lover. I guess the SS Troops are starting to return again.

      • Gary

I have seen several comments in here, and in other such blogs, that compare Obama with Hitler. Hitler was a good teacher. When forgotten or ignored, history is often repeated. Obama is counting on the majority of American voters to forget or ignore that dark time of World History and just how Hitler took power because he is following that same path.

One of the first things Hitler did was to get government control of health care. Obama has done that. Another thing Hitler did was to gain control of the Media. Obama has that. Hitler then confiscated firearms. Obama and Hillary are working very hard behind the scenes to accomplish that.

A lot of people are still saying Obama is an idiot, dumb and stupid. Never underestimate anyone like that. He is a highly intelligent and cunning man and he knows exactly what he is doing. He has put our country in the fast lane to Totalitarian Socialism and he knows just how to do it. In 2007, how many, outside of Illinois, even knew who he was? When the 2008 campaign started, everyone, myself included, thought Hillary had the nomination in the bag. The primaries were just a formality. This virtual unknown came from left field, took the nomination and the White house. In just three short years, he has risen from an unknown to the most powerful man in the world.

He has successfully shoved Obamacare down our throats. He got The Food Safety Act and some other controversial legislation done during the lame duck session.
He successfully got two highly controversial people on the Supreme Court. Before her appointment, Kagan publicly boasted about how she admired Chairman Mao as a compassionate political genius. Not even twenty years ago a statement like that would have killed any chances of ever getting confirmed to the Supreme Court.

No dummy or idiot could have pulled all that off no matter who was supporting him. Too many people underestimated him, and still do, and he knows how to use that to his advantage. Hitler was also underestimated by the German people. He used that to his advantage and that was how he took over Germany.

If you can go back and review Obama’s interviews and speeches, you will see that he is doing everything he said he would do with only one exception. He doesn’t have a transparent administration. He even stated during the campaign that, he would rather be a one term President as long as his agenda was met and the country was irreversibly on the way to completing his goals, than to be a two term President and have accomplished nothing.

The writing was on the wall and the voters refused to read it. I’m not blaming the clowns that voted him into office. At least they voted. We need to get more of those 50% plus off dead center, stop watching sports for a few hours, and vote. That is the only way to defeat him. Obama wants you to think that your vote means nothing because the election is already decided. Then you may stay home on election day and make him happy.

I’m not saying anything new that I haven’t said many times in the past. I am saying the things that need to be said over and over. Wake up and smell the coffee America before it’s too late. Apathy, not Obama, is the greatest threat to our liberty and freedom.

      • bob wire

Bert, always ! in all things, ~ do no harm. Many times, standing still is seen as progress in the face of adversity.

If we in America continue down the path many elect to follow today, rest assure we too will see such event unfold in our major cities as well. If O’Reilly and Carville can agree on anything, then it’s not too late for our ‘leaders’ to grow spines, acquire brains and do what must be done to save the nation. O’Reilly and Carville seem to know the difference between crap and apple butter – unlike the elected simians who infest Washington.
If Greece is any indication of what is to come, then let it be admitted that a) public education doesn’t work, b) redistribution of wealth is far worse than a bad idea and c) any nation that relies on incompetence dressed in the form of an expensive suit will get exactly what it deserves.
So, do the American people have what it takes to DEMAND that our leaders LEAD? We didn’t get where we are via leadership. Can we force people who don’t work for us to walk away from their puppet masters and keep America (and the rest of the world) free?

We may see riots in America – instigated or added onto by the Chaos groups.

Look at the video of the rioters in Canada, Greece etc.. look for the backpack guys tearing everything up, very active in the rioting. The almost wear a uniform for the riot, masking the face, carrying a backpack of equiptment.

If the riot is up to snuff they seem to be the ones exploiting the crowd, throwin the fire bombs, breaking the windows…on-on…

IMHO if police setup a special squad with those long range beanbag shotguns, started shooting the punks repeatedly, then zapped these ANARCHY soldiers with 500,000 or more volts of juice from the TASERs

it may go a long way to ending these riots quickly. In addition, using the helicopter mounted non-leathal microwave weapons would end riots in heartbeats. The choppers could heard the crowd like cows to the waiting paddywagons.

Yup. It was called the “brain drain”.

        VOTE RON PAUL 2012!!!

      • Conservative at Birth

A vote for Ron Paul is a vote for Obama. Although I agree with many of his ideas, such as abolishing the Federal Reserve. He is too isolationist and not realistic in his foreign policy ideas. He needs to stay in Congress and give up on his perpeetual quest for the Presicency. I am a Libertarian Conservative. He at one time was for open borders, which I am not. My neighbors foolishly wrote in Ron Paul for President in 2008. When I told them that, in affect they voted for Obama she slapped me. How typical of someone wihtout logical though process.

      • Bleh

McCain would have been every bit as bad as Obama.
Your neighbors understood this, which is atypical of our average voters. Typical would be the belief in this BS that your vote for the Medias Favorite Republican would have made things any different than Medias favorite Democrat…

      • mrcave

A write in vote is wasted.

We did not get in this crisis ONLY because of Clinton, Bush, and Obama, nor just because of Democrats or Republicans. The problem is that people always go for the next “talking head” that comes along, but nothing ever changes.

A small sampling, I’ll grant you, but everyone that I have convinced to read a Ron Paul book, has become a supporter. At least one life long registered Democrat, has switched parties in order to be able to vote Ron Paul in the primary.

This is what is key. Getting the real word of Ron Paul out there, not the T.V. spun misconceptions of isolationism, etc. He is is not some kooky, old dude with wild, Utopian fantasies. No, he doesn’t look, or act so presidential. He seems exasperated from years of watching the government fiddle as Rome burns.

Other candidates can talk all they ant about getting the Republican party back to its roots. It’s just talk.

        Read Ron Paul.

      • Kate8

Conservative – A Ron Paul vote is only wasted because the media wants it that way. They control the way the masses think and, by ingoring Paul, they are assured that he won’t get the votes.

It’s time we the people take the voting process back from the elite media. If we could get the word out that Ron Paul is a viable candidate, so people don’t feel stuck with the “lesser of two evils”, it would make a big difference.

It’s going to take a major campaign effort on all our parts to further the cause of Ron Paul. Forget the media. They will work against us. We have to rise above them.

We could organize if this is what we really want. Where there is a will, there is still a way.

Also, Ron Paul needs to get serious, and show he is serious. It feels like he has just put his name in the pot for a little political clout and that is it.

      • Lala72

A “libertarian conservative”??? What the hell is that, C.A.B.? You mean, you’re a libertarian that is against gay unions, a woman’s right to choose, and the legalization of marijuana??? LOL. You mean a REPUBLICAN?! Sorry, my friend, there are no varying degrees of libertarianism. This isn’t another trite political party; it’s first and foremost an IDEAL, a social philosophy. Either you believe in it, or you do not, but you can’t vary the means of the message.

It’s really sad how many of you neo-con nazis have tried to invade our philosophy and alter it by way of our “political party.” Go back to your sheep-herder right wing and fight with your burned out hippy adversaries. We’ll do the real thinking in the world.

      • WARLORDX

You obviously are more a part of the problem than the solution. Paul’s foreign policy is essentially “leave them alone” and they’ll leave us alone. Just as it was the Founding Fathers’ foreign policy… “commerce with all, entangling alliances with none.” Where does the Constitution authorize Congress to give away our tax money to foreign governments? What does the individual Patriot receive for this expenditure? Where does it authorize the military to establish and maintain military bases and un-declared wars? As Ron Paul says, “If we weren’t there, they would have no reason to be here.” Those of us who served in the military thought we were doing it for God and Country. Reality is we were doing it for corporate gain by insider ‘ruling class’. When I fight again, it will be to enforce my rights described in the Declaration of Independence. And as usual, I expect 90% of the population to benefit from what only 10% of us are willing to do for INDEPENDENCE AND LIBERTY.

When you vote for the person you think will win rather than your Independence and conscience, we all get trash like Obama and his Democrat cohort. Rethink your policy.

Unless the Senate gets more Republican seats, the Republican Congress can only continue to deny obama more spending. Congress repealed obamacare, but the democratic senate approved it. If you want to blame someone, blame obama and his democratic gang in the Senate. This is why we need to fight the demoncraps with tooth and nail. The new Congress has new blood and they know what it needs to be done.
so far, Michelle Bachmann seems to be the one who is wiling to fight the fight.

      • Thinking About

Is this the same Michele Bachmann who has her hand in the pocket of American tax payers, who has healthcare provided and needs history lessons?

      • Frank

History lessions? I’ll bet she knows how many states there are.

      • Bud Tugly

        Questionable.

      • Patty

Bud – If only you had a brain… Why do you insist upon listening to the MSM? They have vilified every non-democratic candidate out there but they especially vilify the women. Why is that? Do you think that just possibly they want to have the 1st female president? That is what it is all about with them. No substance, just game playing. If you want someone who knows history vote Newt. He has Nobama beat hands down in that department along with everyone else running. But, he would not make a good president. Obama has had more gaffes than GW Bush and Dan Quayle combined but you never hear about them from the MSM. Obama is the one who thinks we have 57 states among other things. And what about all of the utterly stupid stuff that spews from Bite me Biden?

      • Toomuchsense

Hey Bud, how many states in your county? How old are Obama’s two daughters? Corpsman? Posthumous vets standing in the crowd for Obama’s speech!! Bud you are a worm. You have a right to your opinion, but picking and choosing when to hold someone accountable for graffs, leaves your dirty and lower than pond scum.

      • JeffH

chess game, I agree 100%. This is the same Michelle Bachmann who made these statements in an NPR interview…yes, an NPR interview and not FOX just so you progressives and liberals understand that some of us conservatives and Libertarians really get information elsewhere.

“… from the first day I entered Washington, I landed on my feet, and I started fighting against the ‘corruption and the waste’ in Washington, and I think one thing people know about me is that I do what I say, I say what I mean, ‘I have a backbone made of titanium’. I’m not a part of the good ol’ boys club. But that’s something I’m proud of. I’m not ashamed of that. I think that’s part of that common sense”…” I’m committed to the repeal of Obamacare, and that’s something that people want to see”…” I do believe that this is a gangster government”…”President Obama set a high bar for himself. He said if he can’t turn the economy around by the third year of his presidency, then he would likely be a one-term president. I agree with President Obama. I don’t think he deserves a second term. People want someone with a business background, who understands the economy, and will actually make their lives better”…” I have opposed President Obama’s intervention in Libya from the inception”…Obama’s annoucement of the Afghan withdrawl…”seems to be the politics of necessity. And it appears for President Obama that he is acting more on political strategy than military strategy. That’s very concerning, because it also seems that this is more the Obama-Biden plan for early withdrawal, as opposed to the Petraeus plan”…” As president of the United States, I would — knowing that we have a war hero like Gen. Petraeus — I would trust his judgement… We need to trust him on Afghanistan. Simply because he’s demonstrated results”…” I think what we need to do is look at all regulations that hamper job creation. The biggest one of all, of course, would be Obamacare”

“I would bring in the best economists in America to let us know what impact that has on creating jobs. That’s really the bottom line. I think that all of our regulations, all of our tax code, we need to look at with new eyes. Because clearly the system we have now isn’t working, so we need to look at it with new eyes.”

      • karolyn

Well, that seals it for sure; she’s for continuing the fight in Afghanistan.

      • JeffH

..and continuing the fight in America against the “corrupt” paradigm that exists in Washington DC and in our government. Bachmann is an American Patriot, just as Ron Paul is…something that karolyn obviously can’t or refuses to understand.

        FOR GOD AND COUNTRY!

      • Patty

Karolyn-it is all in the timing. I think we have accomplished our objective which was to get Bin Laden. Mission accomplished, bring them home. The sooner the better but not at the detrement of the ones we have already lost and to screw this up by getting out too soon.

      • JeffH

        Patty, well said.

      • Jana

        karolynb,
Do you think you have found the ammunition you were looking for to NOT support or vote for her? Well, you still haven’t.
As Jeff wrote to you below:
        *******************

        ***************************

      • http://ahalbert@smart-technology.net Allan Halbert

Seals the deal? Since you never would have voted for her, what exactly do you mean?

    • LTC (Rt) Ray Burke

Virtually all of our so-called leaders act in their own self interest and always will. As always, naked force is the ultimate arbiter of our destiny. We can only hope it will be used to our advantage.

      • Jack

        Ray, interesting yet so true!

      • OldSice

A resounding yes to that. Never too late for a Spring cleaning. As for those interested in Ron Paul for president I would suggest using the same strategy as our current presiden did for his election…get the word out via facebook, twitterblogs and all the other various social media networks. And it needs to be done before the Gov’t shuts down the Internet to protect it’s self riotousness.
If you want to understand the historical path of our country up to present day I would suggest reading Final Warning, A History of the New World Order by David Allen Rivera.
