Thank You for your comments about this country that I do love with all my heart. Your observations are so very true. We have taken for granted that every one coming here and even some born here were here because they too loved this country for it’s freedom’s. Too many however have come here and wanted to change it. I think it is because we humans don’t take to change well so when we move we try to recreate what we know as it makes us more comfortable for some strange reason; even though we left our birth place for more freedom. It is a strange set of emotions we have to deal with. I think that is why people of like ethnic backgrounds come together to live in their own communities, and still try to bring in the foods they were use to eating. It gives them a secure feeling, however because of that we tend to forget what it was like where we left from and we find ourselves trying to change things to be more like they were where we came from, instead of us changing to meet the new surroundings where we are. It’s hard to change and try to adjust to all the different surroundings of a new place. Language is one thing that is difficult and so we begin to demand that there be signs made out in our native language, or people to translate for us into our native language. It makes it easier for the new commer, however al this begins to change the wonderful place we strove so hard to come to and our demands then become politically correct for politicians as they want our vote. We don’t realize that our little convent demands for the new place to conform to us is changing this place and not for the good. Politicians have only one thought and that is to get elected so when they begin to comform to our demands they compramize their positions and then the changing of America begins. It goes from our ethnic groups to cross over to our religious belief, or the lack there of. Now you have another group of people believing they have a right to make changes of their own so to do that they form groups and organizations of like minded people and they begin to make their own demands. Not that their demands will improve this country just that they can feel important that someone folded to their demands so they could recieve their vote ! Then it continues on to people that have perferted ideas and ways and they feel they should have their demands met too. Even if those demands are perverted and an abomination that is all the more reason to have their demands met. So they too form a group and start making demands of the politicians who again see that they need to coddle this group of individuals so they can garner their vote ! After a while this country no longer resembles the once great country it was in the beginning. Politicians have all become corrupt and been in thier elected office for so long they have perfected ins and outs to suit their purpose, and John Q. Public begins to feel secure with their BS talk so we just keep electing them. They have become crooked politicians. Now the public starts to notice that things are not going the way they use to and we wonder why? How did things go so wrong? They went wrong one little step at a time and someone always saying that the government should do something about that or this. We realize that all of a sudden we now have a person like Obama in office running things and wonder how he got there ! It starts to work on a persons mind and they begin to loose their patriotism, because they feel defeated and as though there is nothing they can do about anything. What we need are a lot of champions like yourself to remind us that we can change things and get back our patriotism . We can make a difference by encouraging each other, to look carefully at who is running for president and not be snowed into the same old same old. Should we elect someone that has been in politics for years because they tell us they have experience? Or should we demand a change of the same old same old? Maybe we should get together with our friends and talk these things over and use our Constitution as our plan for our return to the great country we use to be. Maybe we should talk to other and explain to them why we should make the changes in ourselves first rather than demand the new country change to conform to us. We have to be very careful about how we change this country and very firm on how we are not going to change this country. You can’t have your cake and eat it too ! Start improving the patriotism in this country with yourself, first then with your family then with your friends and then in our schools and churches. It is time for every home in this country to fly the American flag. That flag flys at this house every day. It always has and it always will. Wayne, you are a partiot so let that flow from you to everyone you know. It is contagious. This is your country and my country and the country of everyone out there. We must insist on our elected officials sticking to the constitution above all things. There are a lot of patriots out there, many of them serving in our military in other countries. We need to support them and find ways to help take care of their families left behind, trying to make ends meet and care for families and children. We are patriots serving in many capacities in hospitals, nursing homes, meals on wheeles, food banks and shelters, and in many other quiet jobs all over this country. We are here you just don’t recgonize us ! This is our country so come on and join the rest of us and help spread patriotism.
