Gangster Government Puts Its Boot On Texas' Neck

Gangster Government Puts Its Boot On Texas' Neck

A letter from U.S. Attorney John E. Murphy threatening to halt all flights to and from the State of Texas has spurred a Texas legislator to pull his bill that would have prevented the Transportation Security Administration from carrying out its gropefest/pornshow activities in that State.

It’s just the latest in a series of strong-arm tactics employed by the current gangster government as it seeks to impose its will on its subjects.

Texas’ politicians sought to stand up for the rights of its citizens and criminalize any searches and seizures conducted without probable cause. The bill came on the heels of a litany of abuses by TSA agents at airports, where travelers — including children and infants — were subjected to humiliating and intrusive pat downs.

The U.S. Justice Department (now there’s an oxymoron) has taken to using threats to impose government will as a matter of course. In April 2009, an assistant attorney general threatened to withhold Federal funds if Oklahoma amended its State Constitution to make English the official language of the State. Also in 2009, similar letters were sent to both Montana and Tennessee threatening over their Firearms Freedom acts. Last month, Governor Lincoln Chafee of Rhode Island received a letter from the Justice Department threatening the State over its medical marijuana legislation.

The Administration of President Barack Obama has brought Chicago-style politics to the White House. And right now, because States have become so dependent on Federal largess, there’s not much that can be done about it — especially when dealing with an Administration that cares not a whit about the rule of law.

Washingtonexaminer.com columnist Michael Barone described another aspect of the ruling thugocracy and its habit of rewarding friends and penalizing enemies here.

But several States are considering legislation similar to Texas’, and there’s strength in numbers. Should the Justice Department impose no-fly zones on a half-dozen or more States at a time, getting enough votes to win an election in 2012 is going to be a difficult prospect for Obama.

i would tell them we are going to do it anyway and there is nothing you can do about it.

  • http://msn Kerri

I am a Texan, if our elected officials don’t take the challange and fight for the constitution rights of their constitents I will vote for none of them. The TSA is not keeping us safe they are not commiting sexual harassement they are commiting sexual assult. That my friends is against the law, against the constitution and again common decensy. Stand up damnit!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!1

    • mickey

Then, Kerri, pull a petition to secede from the US. Texas has the power to do this and they should withhold all monies from the fed.

    • DaveH

      Kerri,
Don’t throw the baby out with the bath water. Reelect the ones who had the huevos to vote correctly.

      • mickey

Sorry, Dave, I think the FED thinks “vote” is what we will do. Good slaves will wait for an election. From Rand Paul’s statements, we already know the vote is in long before anything is exposed.

Waiting to vote is just useless any more. State support is the only thing that can save us and that means we all have to go without in order to support ideals. We have to be prepared to lose our houses, we are any way, go without paychecks, and how many are unemployed?, we just have to decide to do without on a short term basis or wait for the long term.

      • Michael J.

        Mickey,
You’re right, the elite’s laugh when we say “The next time we’re gonna vote that bum out”, knowing that the next oportunity is years away and then they manipulate the results anyway. How do you think the folks in Massachusetts felt when they found out that Scott Brown was really just a status quo progressive just days after he took office? How much more damage to our republic will occur till they have a chance to vote again? We can’t afford to wait. We need positive results last week!

      • DaveH

Oh come on, Michael, I knew Scott Brown was a RINO as soon as I heard his platform. The problem is that so many Republicans have bought into the Control issues, that they wouldn’t know a True Freedom-Loving Conservative if he bit them in the butt.
The Republicans lost their way to Freedom as long ago as their party began (1854).

      • Michael J.

        DaveH,
I guess the lesson to be learned here as far as the Scott Brown debacle goes, is that the Tea Party can be duped. It’s like Glenn says, “Do your own research”.

BTW, Glenn says that a lot and I have come to believe it is code for, Theres more to this story but I can’t say it on TV, so check it out for yourselves.

      • DaveH

I think more every day about Glenn’s efforts to Restore Honor in this country. I’ve got two very dishonorable siblings, and as we can often see on this board, it seems like we are surrounded by immoral people, especially the leaders who will say one thing and do another most of the time.
I think Glenn is definitely on to something, and although I can’t share his religion, I do definitely agree that we need to do something about the lack of morality in this country.

      • DaveH

Speaking of the RINO Scott Brown, read this one:
        http://gunowners.org/anti-gun-nominee-narrowly-passes-in-senate.htm

Especially note the part about the 11 Republican senators who voted for cloture, then voted against McConnell. This is a common trick employed by Politicians who are pretending to their constituents to be something they aren’t.

      • DaveH

And as I should have known, the RINO John McCain (my state senator) was one of the tricksters.

      • Kate8

DaveH – O said he’s working on getting guns, under the radar.

They’ll do it, pulling a bunch of fast ones.

That’s how government works these days.

  • newspooner

    Dave H is correct.

  • Crashaxe

Stop dealing with the FED on a state wide level. States need to declare sovereignty from the Federal government and stop funding there illegal activities with tax dollars and keep there money in there state. This is the only way to stop them. STOP GIVING THEM MONEY!
What do you do in a household when one person is out of control with the credit card? YOU TAKE IT AWAY AND ALLOW NO MORE SPENDING!
Well this government is way, way, out of control its time to shred there credit card!

    • DaveH

As long as the Federal Reserve exists, they will just print more money for themselves like Zimbabwe has done.
One suggestion I read on here might work — stop trading with the states who support the tyranny.

  • SANDRA

I wish ALL the states would follow Texas and prosecute TSA for sexual assault. If all the states stood together…there would be an end to this foolishness. Profiling is the way to go….follow’s Israel’s lead.

    • DaveH

Self defense is the way to go. We just need to get Government out of the way so we can practice it.

      • Bert Cundle

Dreamer… Government should be our defense! That is what we are Paying them $$$,$$$,$$$,$$$,$$$.For!The people are so scared of Government that it easer to egnore, than fight!

      • Michael J.

        Burnt Candle,
By paying government $$$,$$$,$$$,$$$.00, we are financing our own demise.

      • Carlucci

        “Burnt Candle”…….LOL – !! Michael J – Thanks for giving me a good laugh – !

      • Bert Cundle

        YOU GOT IT!

      • Vicki

Bert. Government is there to help us. They can not and should not be expected to do it for us. That is the great lesson hidden in the 2nd Amendment.

Our forefathers understood the danger of the Royal Guard (Standing armies) yet we find ourselves in a country with more than one. Take back our power to own and well regulate any and all arms and we will find that we have much less need for any standing army.

Let every tyrant learn to fear what lurks behind every blade of grass.

  • http://www.wastewatchersinc.org Richard Ahern

STATE VS FEDERAL-The Nullification Movement-The Constitution is the Law of the Land. It seems the Executive Branch is out of order 1oth Amendment. Applying the principle of state nullification. If the feds pass a law that a state deems to be outside the boundaries of its proper constituional authority, the state will simply ignore the law and refuse to comply with it.

No one is bound to obey an unconstitutional law and no court are bound to enforce it

Sixteenth American Jurisprudence-Second Edition, Section 256

    • Kate8

Richard – No one seems to pay any heed to the Constitution anymore.

O and his thugs couldn’t care less about the Law of the Land. Soon they’ll be eliminating those who refuse to comply.

  • http://jackfs816@gmail.com jack sneed

I am here to say, if we the people don’t start “standing up” to our President and all his henchmen…..we had better just move out of the country…..any country other than the USA would be a better place for us…..for the good ole USA is out of control, and our President is leading the “out of control controllers.”

    • Vicki

Running away will NOT solve the problem. Here is the place. Now is the time. We are the last best hope for freedom in this time.

      Failure is not an option.

      • Kate8

If anyone plans to expatriate, you’d best do it soon.

Apparently it’s becoming much more difficult to leave Amerika.

      • Albino.

What???? The southern boarder is open both ways you know!! Yes the mexican boarder cites are a hell on earth, but move on into the mexican interior and theres some beautiful small towns… Don’t believe the media!

      • Vicki

The small towns are beautiful but the gringo is obvious. Mexican law has no silly PC restrictions on illegals.

  • Jim the duped

Unfortunately this is just the beginning of hard line politics that not only effect your pocketbooks but your very lives is you so choose to resisit the ongoing tyrannical onslaught on our God given liberties as spelled out in the Bill of Rights and the Constitution.

    • DaveH

Nobody ever said that Freedom was easy.

  • http://bobLivingston Power to the People

But Perry or any other Governor has to grow a pair and step up to the plate. I love the ideas of hit them in the purse and the elites will cry like the chumps they are.

  • PATRICK

This shows that the gangsta in the WH is still in bed wiyh the homosexual lobby who controls the TSA and Mr Obiwankenobi or should I say the person who occupies the oval palace

  • C130 Gunship

The Texas Senate should pass this bill, Perry sign it and await for the DOJ letter to come down to inform us “No Flights Allowed in Texas” and for that message to hit all forms of media. Texas should respond something like this….”Texas is a significant producer of fuels for the US transportation system- specifically cars, overland trucks, and jet fuel. Texas has ordered the immediate shut down of all fuel refineries for inspection and maintenance.” Now think about that……..Oh, we can’t fly, well screw you DOJ because nobody else is going to be flying either…Watch how gasoline prices, grocery prices and supply, and plane tickets spike upward…..The mulatto Mussolini and his band of commies will back off like the wussies they are. End result: Texas 1, Feds 0.

    • LAW2

Well, there’s a thought I can agree with! Look at how badly gasoline supplies were disrupted during Katrina, and that only affected a few refineries. Personalyy, I don’t care if they fly people anymore or not, I quit getting on planes after 9-11, but I do like the fact that cargo still moves quick & efficient….but no stories out there about the TSA groping my bannanas! The Feds need to s-can being politically correct and start profiling like Israel does its passenger lists, then maybe they would actually catch a terrorist or two.

      • DaveH

I think there should be a Free Market in airlines. I would choose the airline that allowed licensed individuals to carry arms on the plane and fight any terrorists to the death, instead of the airlines that choose to make their passengers helpless sheep like those poor folks who lost their lives on 9/11. I blame Government for the loss of those helpless peoples’ lives, including those victims in the towers. The one plane full of passengers who did futilely fight for their lives (futile because they were disarmed) did manage to stop the terrorists from killing people on the ground.
But then, Government likes us to be helpless sheep, doesn’t it?

      • mickey

Dave, I think you are right. We should allow registered gun owners to carry weapons on planes. TSA fondling of children hasn’t done anything. I trust my neighbor more than TSA, DOJ, or obama.

      • DaveH

I am much more afraid of what Government might do to me, than I am about what a Criminal might do to me. Especially these days, when a gang of Government bullies could bust in at any time, thus putting us in grave danger from them as well as from any bonafied criminals who we will be afraid to arm ourselves against for fear that it is the Nazis instead of the kind of Criminals that we are allowed to shoot.

    • mickey

You are just so right!!! I love it. Maybe Texas should shut down. We all are going to have to face a shut down in order to stop all this. Each and every DOJ letter threatening a state should be published.

Further, please provide addresses so we can support those who oppose this oppression of states.

BTW, those goods and services are by rail. We have some pretty hefty trains zooming across the nation.

Oh, and all those cheap homes the government put on the market by foreclosure are being bought by Canadians.

    • texastwin827

….”Texas is a significant producer of fuels for the US transportation system- specifically cars, overland trucks, and jet fuel. Texas has ordered the immediate shut down of all fuel refineries for inspection and maintenance.”

C130, how about adding “Please consider this an advance notice that you, unfortunately, can expect a reduction in revenue, while we are shut down for maintence & repairs, as it can only be assumed that your Federal Gas Tax Revenue will likely be affected”.

    • Carlucci

That sounds like a great idea, but it would never happen because governor Rick Perry is a federale wanna be. So is the coward Lt. Governor David Dewhurst.

      • Kate8

Carlucci – Alex Jones was saying that, in Texas, the Lt. Guv is the true governor of the state, and the Governor is just a figurehead.

Something to do with a past governor being on the wrong side of something – wish I could remember – so he was demoted and the Lt. Governor given power. Apparently, it still stands today.

Sorry. I should have done some research first, but I heard this last night on Coast to Coast radio.

      • http://?? Joe H.

        Kate8,
doesn’t really matter if they both lack cahones!!!

  • http://bobLivingston Power to the People

Where do I start….Yes, Obama promised change and he is delivering just what he promised in his view of what this country should be…a total move to a hybrid Marxist/socialist third world country. He hates so much of what has made him successful.

My question is how do we rally 300+ million people to see the light and vote as a unified front to throw the thugs out? We seem to be more of a nation of 300+ million special interests. It has to start at the local level in every state and bubble up from there. We need an organization. You have to give the current thugs credit that they are better organized and focused on their “cause”. Oh, thats right, he was a community organizer…and its working. If he gets another four years we are done. But, can we trust any of the elite in either party?

    • DaveH

There is a Political Party right now which has been ignored for years by the militarist types who think we can control the World, and by the Control types who don’t respect peoples’ Freedom to choose their own poisons, and by those who think it’s okay to ride on the unwilling shoulders of others. It is the Libertarian Party.
For Individual Liberty, Personal Responsibility, Free Markets, Limited Government (at all levels), and PEACE:
      http://libertarianparty.org/platform

      • DaveH

And we believe that if it’s unlawful for the Mainstreet people, it is unlawful for the people in Government. No exceptions.

    • mickey

You might start with human trafficking. Years ago, it was called slavery. obama is doing nothing more than selling humans, just like his fore fathers, on the premise we need labor–same, same, only we don’t need more people.

Any one that supports this is just supporting what most of us wanted gone from our history. If the NAACP doesn’t turn an about face, then they are just part of the problem.

At $7k a pop, those 500 were worth over $3 million. Just how did poor people come up with $7,000?

  • janet

I say we all stop work on july 4,2011 INDEPENDANCE DAY and don’t resume work UNTIL the CEO’S get the message and give us our liberties back….When the rich lose their profit’s so WE the PEOPLE Govern this country as a whole..we vote on our Iphones and the internet. The Arab’s want money…put it to a vote. Our country men are in need of disaster relief..we vote…OF the PEOPLE-FOR the PEOPLE-BY the PEOPLE! NO MORE GOVERNMENT IN OUR PRIVATE LIFE…I WANT TO EAT McDONALDS I EAT A BIG MAC.I WANT A 100 WATT LIGHT THATS MY RIGHT…I’LL DECIDE WHAT MY CHILDREN WATCH EAT OR PLAY…NOT BIG BROTHER…I WANT A VACATION…I WANT A HOME…THE TIME FOR THE PEOPLE TO SACRIFICE WHILE THAT IDIOT TAKES HIS WIFE TO FRANCE IS O-V-E-R!!!

    • http://yahoo Ruth

      Amen to that, Janet!

    • Michael J.

      janet,
You might be on to something here, a nationwide shutdown on Independence Day would certainly get there attention.

      • victoria blood

And go to Philly for the celebration! Imagine 1 million all together turn our backs on DC the way they have done to us. It would make a statement for sure. I hear the muslims are planning a march 1 million strong on washington on the 4th of July. Ha! They’d be the only ones there. That’d be too funny!

      • Kate8

It’s like a good old fashioned SHUNNING. I posted an article calling for just that not long ago. We should be turning our backs to them at every opportunity. It’s more unnerving than you’d think.

This is a powerful, and peaceful, way to make a big statement.

We should launch a “shunning’ campaign against ALL of them, esp. O.

      • Carlucci

Isn’t that how Ghandi got the Brits to leave India? Passive aggressive behavior. The Indian people stopped shopping at the British shops and patronizing any British businesses. How could we make that work here?

      • http://?? Joe H.

        Kate8,
I’m not so sure I like the thought of turning my back on any government stiff………

Americans better get some cohones and start writing to your do nothing congressional leaders. Less time watching american idol probably a good idea – i mean, like who cares?????? i can’t believe they talked about it on the news all day yesterday. Duh. Dont like what the gangsta govt is doing? Stop paying taxes. What are they going to do – put all of us in jail?

    • Average Joe

Youre preaching to the choir here bro!

    • DaveH

We need to smarten up and put a whole lot more Rand Paul types into Congress in 2012 and get the McCain types out of office.

    • DaveH

If we stop paying taxes, they will just print more money and tax us all the hidden way (inflation). But your first suggestion is spot on.

    • Aix Sponsa

Those massive and numerous FEMA camps are real. I have seen several of them. You can put a couple million political dissenters in the ones sitting empty, but guarded. You can also fence in a lot of people in a couple square miles of Kansas, Dorothy.

Why is everybody so upset? This President is fulfilling his campaign promise, to bring about C H A N G E . Oh, wow, now you ask what, when, where, who, why and how? Now is NOT the time to ask those questions folks. Now is TOO LATE. Now is the time to learn what the Constitution is all about and put honorable, accountable, moral, accomplished seasoned veteran government officials into office to save what Constitutional rights we have left. Remember America is Not a Democracy it is a REPUBLIC. We still have the right to VOTE, so let’s exercize it and VOTE these THUGS OUT OF OFFICE AND RESTORE OUR United States Constitution.

    • Insurgent

So you think today’s elections are legit ??

      • DaveH

I think so, for the most part. No doubt there is chicanery occurring, but from the people I’ve talked to, and the polls I’ve read, the only conclusion I can come to is that we are indeed getting the kind of Government that people think they want.
We need to work hard to show them their thinking is mistaken.

      • Michael J.

        DaveH,
Do you really think Charlie Rangel”s landslide win was legitimate? Do you think Harry Reid won without the help of union creative vote counting? Do you believe Al Franken to be a legitimate senator of Minnesota? And isn’t it true that ACORN has been linked to voter fraud in 12 states?

Scuttlebutte has it that the behind the scenes gripe of the donkey party is that the more people that vote, the more it cost too manipulate the results.

        http://frontpagemag.com/2010/10/29/voter-fraud-in-america/

I realize I am probably preaching to the choir on this, but it seems as though you are bit over confident about our voting systems ability to place into office individuals of the people’s legitimate choices.

      • DaveH

I think that Harry Reid did win by dirty tricks. But if a large majority of Nevadans had been against him, the dirty tricks wouldn’t have been enough.
When the day comes where most of my acquaitances say they wanted the other candidate, and the polling shows that most people wanted the other candidate, then I will accept that the corruption has made the difference.

      • Kate8

Michael J. – I agree. I think the system is totally rigged. How could we prove it either way?

I think the elections are pre-chosen, for the most part. They probably allow us a win here and there to make us think they are legit, but things always end up on course for the elites.

      • Michael J.

        Kate8,
It’s the job of an un-biased media to investigate and report on such matters. Since we don’t have one, it’s up to us.

      • Michael J.

        DaveH,
I still think you are under estimating the impact of fraud in election results and the effect it is having on voter confidence.

      • Michael J.

        Kate8,
Sorry, I didn’t really answer your question. Since the media isn’t doing it’s job, it’s either up to us or independent investigators like Jerome Corsi or the people who investigated Acorn.

      • JH

Even though elections might be manipulated, truthfully I don’t think it is absolutely necessary. A huge number of people benefit from the power structure as it and as it is becoming. First of all the government employees themselves. Why should they be against the hand that feeds them? Then the long line of recipients of all sorts, contractors, EBT receivers, Section 8 voucher holders, hell I could go on for days with the list. Point is, a narrowing range of freedom loving folks exist who care whether or not their freedoms are removed. Most others are content to rest in the shadow of the dragon’s wing.

      • DaveH

Speaking of Harry Reid, I have been boycotting Vegas since he stole the election with his vote-buying scams. It’s time to show those Vegas Unionists what politics are all about. Give them back what they give us.

      • DaveH

And Michael, if you think you are a lone voice in the wilderness, you should walk in my Libertarian shoes for awhile. I have been preaching to people for 40 years about how corrupt our Government has become. And mostly, they laughed at me like I was a buffoon. They aren’t laughing anymore.

    • skippy

You say seasoned veteran government officials, that what got us where we are at now.

      • DaveH

What got us where we are now is a population of people too busy struggling to have decent lives to take the time to study, think, and vote correctly. We need to change that.

      • Thamera

I would add DaveH to the populace that is too busy working to provide for themselves and their families is the general populace too interested in who is going to win American Idol or completely absorbed with what is happening in the lives of the pathetic losers on the latest TV reality shows, or any number of celebrity train wrecks or sports fanatics that are completely detached from what the government is doing and who in large part elected people like Obama because of his charismatic personality and media appeal…the same people that can’t answer any of Jay Leno’s “man on the street” questions. Long lines, dogs, papers, questions, search of body and automobile all routine and part of a life style. Most times , it goes fast, sometime not. ~ You can’t talk on your cell phone at the bridge, you can’t carry over anything you wish to.

We don’t want another 9-11. Get with the program or stay home.

What if anything has groping prevented? Also what if anything has scanning prevented? Nothing as long as you target small children, old ladies and nuns and avoid the obvious Middle eastern individuals. There is no evidence that any of this violation of our 4th Amendment rights has prevented a damn thing.

      • JC

Prison Gaurds treat prisoners in the exact same way as the TSA is treating the American public. And for the exact same reasons.

    • Average Joe

That’s right BW, lay down like the good little lap dog you are (as made apparent by ths posting as well as your previous postings) While you may be happy living in Nazi Amerika…we not not content to lay down and give up those liberties and freedoms that our forefathers fought and died for. BTW, BW…the TSA hasn’t caught anyone….other “alert” passengers have though….Please take a few moments to remome your head from your rectum…your view is rather crappy from where I stand…..

Name a single terrorist they have thwarted, Bob.

      • eddie47d

I don’t like the Patriot Act or the TSA but why are you trying to say that the TSA isn’t thwarting any terrorist attacks. If none have occurred on our airlines then somebody must be doing something right.

      • DaveH

        Eddie,
I drink milk. No dogs have ever bit me in the butt. Does that mean my milk drinking stopped them?

      • JC

Don’t bother, DaveH. The guy is frothing at the mouth crazy.

      • Kate8

They are using TSA to further the guv’s intrusion past our person’s. They want to eliminate all boundries, including our bodies. They are pushing to do with us as they will.

Where this is headed is mandatory vaccinations, no opting out. The vaccines will be weapon of genocide.

Just look at how we are herded like cattle everywhere we go now. We are being monitored, inspected, verified, approved, regulated, charged…you name it. As soon as O’care is fully implemented, the “health police” will come to our very homes, and we won’t have the right to resist. They are being trained as we speak.

      • DaveH

Nobody is ever going to forcibly inject foreign bodies into my body. My live body, that is.

I’m sure the “vaccines” will also be used to “chip” people – the ones that survive the “vaccines”.

Hey eddie47d. Here is TSA’s comment on their effectiveness.

        Vicki,
Dam! Even the weatherman has a better record than that and we ALL know how lousy THEY are!!!

      • eddie47d

Nothing like using a report from 2005 when TSA was first set up. How cleaver of you Vickie. I guess that means you would like them to be more intrusive so 0% weapons are not found in 2011.You are always trying to have it both ways to make yourself feel good.To achieve your perfect rating they will have to rummage even further through our bags and use more x-ray devices.

      • Vicki

Eddie47d. Not only was I clever and used a report from 2005 but it was a report on incidents from ~2002. Oh. Wait. That was the TSA report. Yes they are still way behind the present day threats. Should you continue reading this thread you will find a report from much closer to the here and now.

Of course that report was not from a (cough) reliable source like the TSA web blog.

      • DaveH

More intrusive so 0% weapons are found? What?
Never mind. Please don’t respond, Eddie, I can’t take any more inane comments from you this evening.

      • eddie47d

Dan; No planes have been blown up so what is your suggestions or are you just mocking because you can. If you can abolish TSA that would be fine with me but if you can’t then come up with something positive to make it work to your liking.

      • DaveH

No planes have been blown up. Oh yeah, that proves something. No buildings have been blown up yet either (since TSA). And no trains have been blown up yet. So what?
I guess with Obama running around pissing off every country he can, there will come that day. But taking away our Freedom sure isn’t going to stop it.
Eddie, you need to take a class in basic logic. Either that or I need to stock up on Dramamine.

      • eddie47d

Start stocking up and send me a couple since your blathering responses have no rhyme or reason. On second thought I don’t do drugs so save them for yourself. Actually I do take an occasional Sumatriptan but that is not too often.

How can I blame the industry when the federal government is it at fault? And that means, we the people share in some of this blame. If we were truly offended at this, we would make it a point at town halls across America and vote the scum out of political office. But we don’t. We won’t…. I am sorry I am pessimistic lately. It isn’t the politicians I am frustrated with right–that is an ongoing problem. It is because I woke up to the reality that the American people will sell their freedoms to the politicians’ promises hardly without a second thought.

    • DaveH

The problem is that if we don’t belong to the minority group whose Freedom is being trampled, most of us avert our gaze and ignore it.
We need to change that behavior.
If Airline passengers’ Constitutional rights are being trampled, we who don’t fly need to stand with those passengers and protect their Freedom. Government has gotten away with much of its growth by picking on minority groups while the rest of us twiddle our thumbs because it doesn’t directly affect our Freedom. But in the long run it does.

    • TIME

      Dan,

I agree with you, as well I have to say if you don’t make a stand you allow it to go on.
Look lets face it the political class is out of line and we need to explain that to others who can’t quite grasp it. They do know in their gut something is very wrong, but most just can’t articulate it.

If you find a common ground area that they have some level of interest then you can “slowly” wake them up. I am not saying this will take place over night, and yes I get very frustrated with how Ignorant people are.
      Keep in mind two points,
      #1, If they refeue to budge, just move on. {Forget them they are either totaly stupid or part of the problem.}

#2, If they get it but are afraid to really look they fit the profile of most Americans. They are mad as hell but don’t grasp why or who’s really to blame for the problems.

So just go slowly a little at a time make your points it can take months, but as they awake they will be even more Pissed Off and be ready to learn more, so just set your case out with solid evidence.

Use the Alex Jones sight to your advantage, use the PLD sight to your advantage use the normal media to your advantage use their own words to show what they are up to.

Everyone who has any gray matter wants the TRUTH no matter what political party they are in as whats going on impacts them rather they want to admit it or not.
If they have a 401 K, if they have kids, if they own land, have a Credit card, have a JOB, there is some point you can get in with them where they can grasp whats going on.

At this point in time we have seen the progressive unfolding their platform for well over 100 years, so most folks have grown up thinking something and what they think is 100% wrong.
So you know how you feel when someone tells you your wrong, think about starting from step one.

      • DaveH

You’re right, Time. And I know I flog this horse often, but I still think the book “Lincoln Unmasked” would be a very big eye-opener to many people who don’t realize how severely we’ve all been propagandized by the Government schools.

      • Kate8

TIME – I know people who do NOT want to know the truth if it scares them. In fact, I think there are more of them than real truth-seekers.

It’s the normalcy bias thing. Blissful ignorance.

      • TIME

        Kate,

I think you would be shocked by who some of the people I have turned are.
All you have to do is open one door, so you have to prod around and find that one open door, don’t force anything just ask questions and phrase things like have you ever thought about how it got that way?

Find out what they think, then ask them if they know about, then just use what ever you can use to expand your base of thinking with use small steps let them think it over. I grantee you they will come back at you with questions. It really works!

The more questions they ask you then you just ask them questions that will aid them in defining the common ground.
As I said this is not easy and its not overnight thing.

Also keep in mind that 1 out of every 5 people you will talk with are on Depression Meds. So they are like talking with a Yo Yo don’t waste your time with them they suck your energy out and you get zero return.

1 out of every 5 is what I call a Dead Head, they will not learn anything all they want is the easy way. Again don’t waste your time with them its like hitting your head on a wall, all it does is hurt.

So that leaves you a possible 3 out of 5, I am sure you can find some common ground with at least one of them who also knows 3 people and can turn one and if every one can turn just one more person we can win back our Nation and take back our Libertys and Freedoms that have been lost.

Hey If I can turn a 50 year long Democrate who hated any other form of Political group. And he voted for Barry too, but now he speaks in his class’s about how Evil Barry and the NWO is, you can turn anyone!

Just keep working at it, to be a LEADER is a thankless job and its never done.
Thats why the old adage “its lonely at the top” came about, it is take my word for it.
We who are awake MUST LEAD we can’t stop now we can still turn this ship around.

And what If we fail, at least we can stand before our maker and say I did all I could do, I gave it my all, I failed you, I ask that you forgive me for my flaws. {You must know yourself and you must be true yourself} and others will just know that you are the REAL thing.

I have given many people a hand over the years not just with money, but if you go out of your way and help someone in need of your help, the benefits are truly more than all the wealth in the world.

      • DaveH

I take a different approach. I hit them cold-turkey with facts and ideas that are initially so foreign and scary to them that they go home and research the issues, mostly to prove me wrong. They will never admit at the time that I was right, but years later most of them sound more like me than I do. I provided them with a spark that set their brains on fire.

      • Vicki

Kate8. I quote from the Declaration of Independence.

“Prudence, indeed, will dictate that Governments long established should not be changed for light and transient causes; and accordingly all experience hath shewn, that mankind are more disposed to suffer, while evils are sufferable, than to right themselves by abolishing the forms to which they are accustomed.”

Indeed we do have a great tendency to suffer then to revolt.

I encourage everyone reading this to read the rest of the text to see what was no longer sufferable to our founders. Then think about the parallels with our own time.

      • http://?? Joe H.

        Vicki,
I bought seven copies of the declaration and the constitution in pocket sized books and gave all but one of them away. The one I carry at all times in my pocket! Patriot Depot has them for, if I remember right, 5.00 for six and at the time they were giving a free one away with each order.

  • DaveH

Can anybody not see that this isn’t going to stop with the airlines? They have already targeted Trains and Cruise Liners. Do you honestly think it will stop there? It’s a power trip, that’s all. And they won’t stop until they can grope you anytime, anyplace, and for any reason.
    We are becoming Nazi Germany.
The surest way to stop this is to hit them where their wallets are. Money speaks every time. If we all started boycotting Airlines or any other business where Government trampling of our rights was occurring, you can bet your money that the trampling will stop.

    • Average Joe

I have been sayint the same thing for years about hitting them in their wallets. The only problem that I see is that there is no “real” money to hurt them with. If the states decided to withold the FRN’s.. it won’t faze them, they will simply print more of the paper and devalue the currency further…thereby nullifying the effort and making things worse for the entire nation. The only solution that may have any effect would be for the states to just say….”impose your sanctions and we will continue to protect our citizens rights…period, nothing will move in or out of our state… from or to another state that is not supporting our measures. I am guessing that if enough states would just stand their grounds…this crap would cease as no goods would leave those states bound for anywhere and a lot of those Big Corps would suffer as a result (because they can’t get what they need to produce there products) and will begin pressuring the powers that be to change course….before said corps send there business overseas and stop campaign contributions to those who will not bend….those contributions are the real meat and potatoes that can change policies….But alas, we are a nation of instant gratification and can’t be inconvenienced to do without in order to take back our liberties and rights……America has become a sad bunch of give me’s…..now! It is either sacrifice a little now….or there will be nothing left…. to sacrifice later…..

      • JH

Sorry folks, I don’t see the States are local governments deeply concerned about personal freedoms either. I see them also as feeders off the citizenry. They oppress, cajole and steal just like the Feds they are just headquartered in different places with different strategies. If they State governments are our hope we are truly screwed.

      • DaveH

Birds of a feather flock together. And for good reason. They know if the anti-Big-Government movement continues it will apply to the state levels also.

    • Dennis

Dave they also have plans for school proms, sporting events, theme parks, large shopping centers and our hwys, all coming soon.

      • DaveH

And those actions won’t stop the terrorists any more than they do in Afghanistan. They will just impoverish our Nation to the point where we wish the Terrorists would put us out of our misery.

    • David

Yes, airports, train stations, bus stations, shopping malls, sports stadiums, schools, and VIPR checkpoints on our roads and highways.

The “Police State Act”, aka the “Patriot Act”, is an egregious assault on the American people’s civil rights enumerated in the U.S. Constitution. Amerika is now a police state, and it’s getting worse. Of course Chairman Barry Soetoro was against it before he was for it. Chairman Soetoro is just another sock puppet for globalists who are dedicated to enslaving the greatest country our planet has ever known.

      • DaveH

        Yep.

    • JC

DaveH, the goal is to limit our mobility. Boycotting airlines may just be playing into their hands. Maybe civil disobedience by refusing the scanners and harrassing them all the way through the process would have a greater effect? Thing is “everyone” has to do it.

      • DaveH

Don’t kid yourself, JC. When the airlines start going out of business in droves, people will start listening.

      • JC

        That’s probably right.

      • Carlucci

But haven’t the airlines (with the possible exception of South West Airlines) been going broke for years? Fedzilla always steps in to bail them out. I can see that happening even if most people do wake up and stop flying. Even if the airlines are only hauling a handful of passengers, they will be bailed out.

      • DaveH

There’s only one way to find out, Carlucci. We need to stand strong and force the Usurper’s hand. Eventually the apathetic ones will awaken.

      • Carlucci

That’s true. I haven’t flown anywhere since March of last year, before the porno scanners made it to my city. I would love to go to NY to see my step daughter, or Tuscon for a wedding in October, but I won’t be traveling as long as this crap is going on at the airports. So I guess you can put me on the boycott flying list.

      • Nadzieja Batki

Entities that have ties with the government never go out of business, you may get some shuffling and rearrenging.

  • DaveH

It’s time for Freedom lovers to stand up and vote every Constitution trampling politician out of office, until they get the message.
I, for one, will boycott the airlines until the TSA gropefest gives way to Constitutional Law.
I hope Texans will get their huevos back and defy the tyrant.

    • Al Sieber

I agree, but like I said yesterday I believe political choice is a illusion. I don’t see too many promising candidates, I see they renewed the Patriot Act, in the old day’s what these politicians are doing now was a hanging offence, and we let them get away with it.

      • DaveH

Are you paying attention, Liberals? When Bush was in office, you were livid about the Patriot Act. Was that genuine, or were you just practicing Party Politics? If you were genuine, you need to find out if your representatives voted for it, and throw them out if they did.

      • eddie47d

There you go again Dave bashing Liberals without having your facts straight. It was the majority of Republicans who re authorized the Patriot Act. My Senator Udall Actively rallied against it. The other Liberal Senator voted for it and has been contacted. Our 3 Liberal Representatives voted against it and 1 Conservative voted against it. The other Republicans (3) voted for it.

      • DaveH

You have no idea what you’re talking about, Eddie, as usual.
There are Liberals in both parties. Liberals are those who think Big Government is the solution to our Problems. The fact that your reps voted one way or the other has no bearing on what the majority of Liberals did.

He is how the Senate voted on Rand Paul’s efforts to stop the Patriot Act from giving the Feds access to our firearms’ records:
        http://senate.gov/legislative/LIS/roll_call_lists/roll_call_vote_cfm.cfm?congress=112&session=1&vote=00082

      • DaveH

Here are the Senate votes against the Rand Paul Amendment to restrain the Patriot Act somewhat:
        http://senate.gov/legislative/LIS/roll_call_lists/roll_call_vote_cfm.cfm?congress=112&session=1&vote=00083

      • DaveH

Note that in both links above the votes were to table (remove) Rand Paul’s Amendments.

      • Vicki

Eddie47d you really have not been paying attention. The Democrats (folk with a D) had super majority status in the house, a filibuster proof senate and a President from the party of D. They had this power for 2 YEARS.

Yet the Patriot Act STILL EXISTS. Your attempt to blame (yet again) Republicans for keeping it alive is pathetic.

DaveH is also correct. It is the liberal (R or D) that maintains these unconstitutional laws that give them power.

      • r.p.

        eddie47d
Apparently you didn’t look at the link didjuh! Looking at both Udalls from Co. and NM. their voting record shows they are Corporate Shills for more restrictions on our Civil Liberties and bigger Government. Take the time to look.
        DaveH:
I really like this link, it pretty much shows us that over 90% of the Senate are Corporate/Big Government shills and they are trying very hard to hush the opposition. With links like these the people will find out who the scums really are; doesn’t really matter if they are R, or D. Hopefully the recall efforts going on in Wisconsin will wake up the people of the rest of the States to the realization that they not only can recall these bass-turds(intentionally misspelled), but Indict, Impeach, and/or Imprison them….Recall wont nullify their benefits if they have tenure. Now all I have to do is learn to navigate through this new link. Thank You.

      • eddie47d

I see you are following Dave H. like a sheep going to shearing. He’ll manipulate anything to his Libertarian agenda. The Udall’s both voted against the re authorization of the Patriot Act.How could I have viewed his postings since they were posted after I commented.Pay attention to the “clock” before you go about your rantings. I said nothing that wasn’t accurate.

      • eddie47d

Vickie; 122 Democrats voted against the extension of Patriot Act and only 26 Republicans in the House. In the Senate there were more Democrats who voted against it than Republicans. Since you want to be a smart azz what math class did you take in blaming the Democrats for it’s re authorization? In terms you can understand: More Republicans voted for it than Democrats which guaranteed it’s passage. As far as this Republican vs. Democrats,Well it’s get’s played everyday and by your fellow Republicans/Libertarians. Pay attention to the people on this site who support various candidates like Trump and Romney. You may wish it to be different but it isn’t. Since Michelle Bachmann voted for the extension of Patriotic Act I expect you to lead the charge in condemning her. You can’t have it both ways.

      • r.p.

Apparently you still haven’t looked at the votes, or you looked at another page. They both voted to Table, which means they voted to extend the spy and anti gun provisions in the “Patriot Act”. Did you fail in English and Civics in school?

      • DaveH

Inaccurate, Eddie? Just about everything you say is inaccurate.
Eddie said “It was the majority of Republicans who re authorized the Patriot Act”. Oh really? Last I heard the Democrats controlled the Senate, so how could it have been the majority of Republicans who reauthorized it, Eddie?
To set the record straight, 31 Democrat Senators voted to extend the Patriot Act. 18 voted against it. So the majority of Democrat Senators voted to extend it, as well as the majority of Republican Senators.
I wouldn’t call what Eddie said a lie, but it certainly was equivocation, unless he just doesn’t know how to say what he really means (that’s very possible).

      • DaveH

        And Eddie,
We can only respond to the posts you make before our comments. We don’t have a crystal ball. If your point was to be that more Democrats voted against it than Republicans, then you should have said that, and you wouldn’t have gotten any argument. However, I suspect you purposely intended to mislead readers in your first comment. Only you know the truth of that.
The bottom line is that the majority of Republicans voted for the extension, and the majority of Democrats voted for the extension. And Obama signed it. So much for Liberals protecting our privacy.

Also, Eddie, what has Libertarianism got to do with it? We staunchly defend the Constitution, and there are none of us in Congress, Ignoramus. So why did you even bring our Party into this?

Apparently you still haven’t looked at the votes, or you looked at another page. They both voted to Table, which means they voted to extend the spy and anti gun provisions in the “Patriot Act”. Did you fail in English and Civics in school?
        ________________________________________________________________
True. I find it disturbing that the NRA itself was against Rand Paul’s amendments.

“Instead of championing Paul’s amendment to protect gun owners, the NRA sat on the sidelines and trumpeted the lies of Harry Reid (which isn’t surprising, considering their duplicitous endorsement of Reid in the last election). Instead of fighting to protect gun owners, they elected to stand with the Political Establishment AND to give cover to the politicians who won’t vote for our gun rights unless it’s convenient.”

Dave H; Then stop pretending your Party is so grand if you don’t want them brought up. You are always speaking to yourself in an empty gymnasium! Ron Paul is in Congress so quite hiding from that fact. You are one angry dude and mad at everyone that disagrees with you. Your name calling is well known around here so who would vote for someone who represents a Party that only welcomes a select few? You want credibility but come across as an elitist; and that should be self explanatory in why the Libertarian Party spins it’s wheels. Another thing you can also do is stop lying about others and thinking your facts are so much more important than others. It isn’t so, so get over your self aggrandisement.

      • Vicki

Eddie47d and most liberals just do not get it. Their beloved party was given full control of all 3 branches of government for more than 2 years. They voted then as now to extend rather than repeal or let the patriot act die.

Eddie demonstrates each and every day the meaning of Lenin’s pet phrase for liberals. (ED Note the phrase has never been successfully proven to have come from Lenin but it is a good reference)

JC – I heard a year or so ago that the NRA had sold out to the feds. They made some kind of deal.

There is another gunowners assn, but I can’t recall the name of it. It formed because the NRA no longer held to its ideals.

It seems that all of the old institutions that have had the public trust have joined with the current forces. Not surprising, as infiltration of the opposition is part of the gameplan.

We must be very careful who we align with these days.

Agreed. The reality is that leaders will almost always push for more power. It is the natural order of things. And they will use any excuse they can muster to achieve that goal.

      • Kate8

Al – Congress also passed the bill giving Obama virtually unlimited, dictatorial powers, including the killing of US citizens on US soil.

The only thing left is the confiscating of firearms, and O says that they are working on that “under the radar”.

Texas’ Lieutenant Guv pulled the TSA bill, against a unanymous vote for it in the legislature, and 98% support. Maybe the people of Texas would haved preferred to call the FED’s bluff and let them ground the planes…it’s better than caving.

We can avoid airports, but TSA plans screeners in every train and bus station, every border and every event, including school events.

I heard that, when the unlimited powers bill passed, Ron Paul broke out in tears, lamenting the death of our Republic. America is over. Our officials have sold us out, have refused to correct the unspeakable travesty of allowing foreign operatives to gain control of our nation. There is enough evidence of fraud and usurpation to convict O in any real court of law, yet he is allowed to stand.

Why do the states continue to bow and break one by one before this tyrant? Is it all about the government money? Let them shove the money…no amount of guv aid is worth this. What we need are people in office with spines. One person shouldn’t have this much power, and I’m including the L.Guv of Texas who just betrayed his state.

I think things are going to be moving very fast from here on out.

Look the government doesn’t even know how to wipe it’s own ass, what makes you think they can track every single person in this country? Its a behemoth of multiple layers of bureaucracy, one department doesn’t even know what the other is doing. I can’t see them braking down your door and carting you off just because your on here, Facebook, yahoo, google or what ever. The GOV along with the media love to instill fear because fear is the number one form of control!

      • Albino.

r.p. “Are you threatening me”…… In what way am I “threatening” you???

Actually this was one of those “Wait a Minute!” moments, so I had to ask. Your right about them too busy to wipe. I watched a story on Democracy now where it was said that HLS was making 2 million wiretaps a day and 1 million text message taps a day. That seems to indicate they are busier then a one legged man at an ass kicking contest. Don’t be offended, I still enjoy the input.

      • Kate8
      • DaveH

        Albino, funny comment.
However I do take offense to the “paranoid” part. Is it “paranoid” to look both ways before crossing a street? Is it “paranoid” to wear a seatbelt? Does any country’s citizens get advance notice that they are soon going to have their Freedom taken away? No, it happens because they keep on Hoping and Dreaming that only good things will come.
Save the manipulative labels for people who are ignorant enough to be swayed by them, not us.

      • Albino.

        Paranoia:

a mental condition characterized by delusions of persecution, unwarranted jealousy, or exaggerated self-importance, typically elaborated into an organized system. It may be an aspect of chronic personality disorder, of drug abuse, or of a serious condition such as schizophrenia in which the person loses touch with reality.

suspicion and mistrust of people or their actions without evidence or justification : the global paranoia about hackers and viruses.

“Is it “paranoid” to look both ways before crossing a street?” Ok lets look at this with a little logic…… It’s been proven over and over again that if you look both ways at a crossing you’ll be able to cross with out getting hit by a car! To me that has nothing to do with paranoia its what you call COMMON SENCE.

“Is it “paranoid” to wear a seatbelt?” Again its been proven that wearing seat belts will save you life if involved in a car accident! Its not paranoia that drives you to wear a seat belt its the fact that IF in an accident your chances of survival are 10 fold that of not wearing them.

“Does any country’s citizens get advance notice that they are soon going to have their Freedom taken away?” Yes there is plenty of notice, the question is why don’t people do more about it? It’s always to late thats why! People are all to happy to site on there ass’s watching American Idol, X factor, dancing with stars, Jersey shore and the Apprentice, eating there $5 Big Mac meals, on there $400 Walmart special TV’s and the only thing that will wake them is the removal of these cheap entitlements. But guess what……. YES…… By the time the entitlements disappear…….It’s to late!

Look all in all Paranoia is a tool they use against you, to miss lead you, put you on the wrong path while the powers at be try and fix their own mistakes. This country is not headed to dictatorship or theocracy, it’s heading to a total melt down economically. Quite possibly the hole world is heading back to the dark ages. Do they want you knowing this, do they what you knowing that your hard earned savings are going to be worthless over the next 20 years, do they want you knowing this while the rich move there money around to keep it safe? This is why they feed you these conspiracies, just the same as UFO’s it give them a good cover story and you don’t realize until it’s to late! Weather it be billions of dollars on experimental planes to spy on the russians back in the 50′s and 60′s, or one world orders, dictatorships, FEMA camps and pending terrorist attacks, they just don’t want you knowing the truth! So maybe we should step back and look at the government as a hole and ask the question are they really in control or is it just a allusion to try and stop the people seeing the truth about how chaotic and out of control things really are?

      • DaveH

That was the longest piece of double-speak rationalization that I’ve seen yet on this board, Albino.
Basically, you are saying that those who don’t subscribe to your set of fears, but have their own, are Paranoid.
        Sure, whatever you say, Albino.

        Kate 8 & Carlucci,

Kate, I don’t do facebook either! Carlucci, exactly the reason I don’t do facebook. My son is the sound engineer for a female country star now & wanted me to do facebook so he could send things to me from backstage, during concerts, etc. I told him I wasn’t that “sociable” anymore since “big brother” is watching everything we do! DaveH…… “double-speak” that’s exactly the point, it’s being used against you every day!

Can I ask why did you push off my conspiracy so easily? Is it because you don’t know who I am? If so then why do you subscribe to the other conspiracies? like for instance the website that Kate8 posted about the new internet censoring bill? What makes you trust this guy “Michael Barone” in the “Obama buying votes” link? Are they talking to you straight or is it double-speak?

Look I never meant to offend with the “paranoia” comment. One of those time i wish there was an undo on this web page. :)

      • DaveH

I don’t concern myself with conspiracies. I know they exist (some of them), but they are a mostly a waste of mental energy. The average propagandized citizen is just going to write you off as a nut case, because they’re just too hard to prove.
As a great example right here on this page, Kate was anguishing over being possibly disappointed if she knew the truth about “Honest Abe”. And she’s very much into conspiracies. So how does one hope to get through the thick armor of the average brainwashed citizen?
What I concern myself with is human nature. Everybody can see self-interested people and their actions all around them, so it’s easy for them to grasp the concept. Leaders are inclined to feather their own nests. The more people that know that the safer our freedom will be.
My solution to conspiracies is to vote Libertarian. We advocate limiting those who possess the legal ability to force. The less force allowed, the harder it is for people to launch their conspiracies. We advocate a society where Government’s main role is to protect us from the force of others, not be the forcers like they are these days.
As Government Grows, Corruption Flows. We want to reverse the growth.

Because we are and the evidence is overwhelming.

      • http://donthaveone Beberoni

I have to agree with Albino about what he said about the government not being able to wipe their own —, let alone watch all of us. Shoot, I know for a fact, there are tens of thousands of warrants issued for peoples arrests, and they have no man power to enact them. The only way these guys get caught, is if they get pulled over in a traffic stop, and they run their license and see they have a warrant, or if they get arrested doing something else. Now if there are know criminals running free, and they know who they are and where they live, and they cant go and get them, and states like California have jails so full, that they are having to let the out, how in the world is the government going to be about to afford to install all these spy camera’s that people are paranoid about, and watching every little move we make. Who is going to watch all these monitors, or pay for them, or install them, and who is going to come and get us, when they cant get the criminals on the loose now? I know far too many guys in law enforcement, and their budgets are strapped, and they are totally handcuffed as to what they can do. Im not buying into this “they are coming to get us stuff”. I guess Im not paranoid, and I definitely am not afraid.

Many people aren’t aware of the backdoor way that the Federal Government has been enforcing power that the Constitution didn’t give them, using the scheme of Federal Funding. Unfortunately, Victoria, it isn’t that easy. Will one or two of these do anything? Probably not. But thousands of letters sent certified mail, return receipt requested can’t be ignored. Further, Notices sent in such a manner usually sends a secondary message of “we’re keeping track to either file charges or to prove you’re criminal scum”. You WILL get an answer though. Texans should start now.

      • Kate8

Padre – I love this idea but, most likely, all it will really get you is on the round-up list.

We can assert our natural sovereignty, but do you really think these thugs give a fig about that? They are criminals. They don’t respect the law or humanity.

That being said, patriots will refuse to comply. I’m with Patrick Henry. I would rather die than live under the tyranny that is planned for us.

      • Vicki

Nice of you to send them everything they need to sell to Identity Thieves to pay for their exorbitant life style.

      • usmadgirl

        Kate8,

We’re more likely than not on the “round-up list” already!

I never even dreamed my SONS would have to live in what’s happened to the country, let alone ME. I thought I’d be long gone before our country turned to crap! Actually, I didn’t think we’d EVER stand for the things we’re allowing to happen! Like I’ve said before, I didn’t know there was so much evil in the World, but especially not in America. Boy, was I a naive fool!

      • Jana

        usmadgirl,
        AMEN

Texas was scammed! That Bill was never meant to get a vote. It is all done to keep up “appearances.” Looks like the Washington corruption has infiltrated at the States level….at least it has in Texas… He was way too quick to give-in and pull his Bill!

He should have called the bluff..they could never have shutdown flights in and out of the entire State of Texas!

    • slapjack

I agree wholeheartdly but let’s get term limits in the equation as a back up. The reprobates have been on the grave train far to long!!!! Let’em get a real job paying $7. 25 a hour and listen to the whinning and belly aching begin.

      • Al Sieber

The only term limits I would like to see for some of these politicians is a prison term.

      • Obama Hates America

        Amen.

      • mickey

        I second that

      • Kate8

Al – I agree. We are way beyond changing anything through Congress.

Just how would it be possible to impose any limits on these runamok, treasonous cowards?

Just where is our military while this is happening? Are they all so brainwashed that they will follow orders and watch the nation they pledged to defend collapse before them and do nothing? Will they just side with whoever seems to hold the biggest stick?

Are we down to relying on militia? I do hope they are ready. Things look like they are about to get ugly. Throughout history, it’s always been a small band of determined and fearless men and women who have brought down tyranny.

      • http://personalliberty.com frank

O hates America This statement is unfortunately so true. This so called POTUS is single handedly ruining this country. His only problem is he thought he could complete his mission in 4 years but forgot that this is (so far)still the USA .He has recieved alot of pushback from various groups(tea party etc.).The job he is trying to do he has realized will take another 4 years. The left wing media is in his pocket and seem to want him to make us a socialist/communist utopia. Remembering back to the days when the unvetted sen. Obama was running for POTUS and i and alot of people said if he gets in GOD help us well he got in and now GOD must help us that he doesn’t get a second term. If he gets a second term we are doomed with a possible dictatorand i will be thrown into the obama gulag for writing something like this .Wait a second by then he would have stopped free speech because he hates the constitution also!.

      • Al Sieber

Kate8, you got that right, I think it’s all over.

      • Al Sieber

Also Kate, maybe we do have a chance if more people wake up.

      • Aix Sponsa

Lindsay the thief gets to stay at home for 30 days. Bureaucrats would get slapped across the knuckles with a yard stick by a catholic nun.

      • DaveH

        Slapjack,
Term Limits are a waste of time and energy. They would do nothing to stop out of control Government. And in fact, the end result would be many more lame-duck Congressmen than we have now at any given time. Those Congressmen would no longer be worried about pleasing their constituents. It’s better to face the enemy that we know than the enemy we don’t know.
The best hope we have is to educate as many of our friends and relatives as we can to the Wisdom that our Freedom loving Founders possessed. Here’s a good place to start:
        http://constitutingamerica.org/

      • Stephan F.

DaveH: Although this Libertarian agrees with almost everything you post, I’m sorry to tell you but you are standing on your head on this one. Pragmatism compels me to believe that Term Limits will have a 100% positive effect on this country’s rotten political situation. We MUST do away & forever eliminate the so-called “career politician” — this is the essential first step in cleaning up the garbage in D.C.

I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again, waiting for the electorate to wake-up & get educated is utopian dreaming & completely irrational. I wish you would quit pushing that nonsensical idea as you appear to know better.

      • DaveH

        Stephan,
I doubt you are really a Libertarian. Most Libertarians recognize that the problem is with the voters. If the voters aren’t educated, you can change Representatives as often as you want, and it won’t make any difference. For evidence of that, just look at how many of the ‘Tea Party’ candidates have fallen flat on their faces when given the chance to make some real budgetary changes.
If you want to disagree with me, fine. But if you are going to start the Personal Attacks, be aware that I bite back.

      • Vicki

Stephan, we already HAVE term limits. We have had them since the birth of the Republic. It’s called “the vote”. There is no better method to be found.

As was said years ago, we get the government we (collectively) deserve.

As DaveH points out, some artificial limit just creates lame duck Representatives. Right now there is a small chance they might worry about election but if they are going to be out of office anyway there is no reason for them to represent us at all. Other than their moral fibre. Seen any politicians with moral fibre recently?

      • Kate8

Vicki – Excellent point. The people determine the limits of the term. Theoretically, anyway.

I have to wonder how many people bother to vote for Congressmen. Too many don’t pay enough attention, and either check the box next to the R or the D, or skip it altogether, and the incumbant wins by default.

Then there’s the issue of fraud, as took place in Nevada and, no doubt, more places than we’d like to think.

      • Christin

        Vicki,
        Dave H,
        Kate8,

As far as using ‘voting’ for or against a candidate to use this as ‘term limits’ is:

*GERRYMANDERING district boundaries keeps many of the Liberal Leftists in office… ie. Nanc Pelosi and Barney Frank to name two.

        * FRAUDULENT VOTES keep liberals in office in MANY states… ie. CA, TX, NV and others by allowing ILLEGALS to vote and multi-votes on one address with a empty lot at it… ie. Harry Reid (illegals) and Sheila Lee-Jackson who had over 25,00 fraudeulent votes in her district.

        * SLANDER by a Liberal candidate who is DEMONIZING the Conservative candidate by putting LIES ont he air waves and condeming them.

        * The biased LAME Stream MEDIA who props up one Demorat candidate with good review and camera/tv time and a RINO Repub, but give bad coverage of the REAL Conservative candidate.

        * TPTB who will prop up the two worst candidates from the Demos and the Repub side that will sell their soul and do their bidding.

      • Kate8

Christin – Excellent points as well!

I have to give this round to you!

      • http://?? Joe H.

        Stephan F,
Sorry dude but you are wrong. right now there is SOME limiting factor on the pols and that factor is losing their job! The one thing they don’t want is to lose their job as a pol. Put term limits on them and they lose that one fear. They will strive to do what ever they want as they know at the end of say eight years they will lose their job anyways! Think back to Bushs “scamnesty”> What stopped it from becomming reality? the fact that 80% of the voters wrote, called, and emailed their reps and guaranteed them that if they voted for it they would lose their job next election!!! That is the pendulum we hold over their head, and they know it!

      • DaveH

        Christin,
It goes without saying that if all those conditions exist (and I wouldn’t doubt it), that expecting the Politicians to enact Term Limits is pretty futile, isn’t it?

      • DaveH

Okay, I’ve thought about it a little more, so I am going to enumerate why the concept of Term Limits in my mind is a wrong-headed one:
        1) First we must convince the politicians to vote themselves out of office. We’ve been talking about Term Limits since at least the early 80s, and nothing has happened. We can’t even get them to obey the Constitution in the first place.
        2) With Term Limits we will have lame-duck Congressmen in office for at least two years, during which time they will be not be beholden to anybody who can’t offer them something surreptitiously. Talk about potential for corruption. Remember how brazen the Democrats were in last year’s Congress? Imagine how more brazen they will be when they know there is no possibility for their reelection.
        3) Term Limits will give already-apathetic voters the idea that everything is okay, so why should they bother scrutenizing who they are electing? Voter’s will be even less inclined to do the hard thinking than they are now.
        4) Without Voter education, there are absolutely no guarantees that the new guys are going to be any better than the incumbents.
        5) Because I said so! That’s a joke.

    • http://ricks-constitutionofourforefathers.blogspot.com/ Rick

I have been boycotting the airlines since they began their full body scanners. If my children want to see us, they have to come to us. I understand there are many others already boycotting the airlines. When the airlines get the message, they will put pressure on the TSA.

      • Kate8

Rick – This is not about the airlines. What is happening is that they want to limit our movement. It’s easier to do this through “voluntary compliance” than force.

This is always what communists do: limit our movements to our immediate locale. They don’t like us to be moving around. Soon it will be “your papers, please” if you try to leave your town, just like it is in most other countries. If it becomes too intimidating to travel, people will stay home.

      • eddie47d

Too many of you throw the term Nazi and communists around too loosely and lose sight of the bigger picture. It was the Republican majority who voted for the Patriot Act and the reauthorization so why don’t you lay these intrusions squarely on their shoulders.Instead of smoke and mirrors on who is doing what and using all this labeling to make it look like some alien is out there sponsoring these bills. Why didn’t the author say this “grope-fest/porn show activities” were brought to you by the Republican Party and that they keep reauthorizing it.That would be more truthful. Then maybe these intrusions would never have gotten off the ground.

      • Kate8

eddie – I knew it was too good to last. A token lib finally showed up.

I can’t believe you still believe in the Republican/Democrat paradigm, even after all this time. Most of us have already moved past that, so your [insult removed] arguments carry no weight here.

Get a life, eddie. Go somewhere where someone cares what you think.

      • DaveH

        Eddie,
You’re wasting your time trying to spread your ignorance on this board. The original Patriot Act was passed by a large majority of the Democrats. Only 1 Democrat Senator (Feingold) voted against it.
The extension of the Patriot Act in Spring of 2006 was again passed by a large majority of the Democrats. Again, only 1 Democrat Senator (Feingold) voted against it.

      • Carlucci

        Yawn…..zzzzzz…..

When is Eddie [insult removed] 47d going to understand that many people on this board (as Kate8 pointed out) realize that this is no longer a democrat/republican issue? What does it matter, now that more people are waking up and realizing that there is no difference between the parties – they are both part of a two headed monster on the same body. Most of the posters with a working brain understand that this monster has sold the American people down the river years ago.

47d, if you cannot contribute to the conversation without rehashing the same old demo/rep crap, please go somewhere else.

      • http://facebook Lisa

THIS IS NOT ABOUT REPUB OR DEM EDDIE–THATS WHAT THE LIB DEMS AND RINOS IN D.C. WANT U.S. TO BELIEVE. THEY WANT POWER ,CONTROL AND MONEY. NOT EVERYONE–THERE ARE A FEW WHO ARE WITH THE PEOPLE. SOCIALIST UTOPIA IS A CONTRADICTION IN TERMS: THE TOP %2 OF THE RULING ELITES (POLITICIANS,CORP.EXECUTIVES,UNION BOSSES AND ANY SPECIAL FRIENDS) GET THE UTOPIA: POSH HOMES, COOL CARS, LEAR JETS, FANCY FOOD AND MUCH MORE FREEDOM TO DO AND SAY WHAT THEY WANT!! THE 98% OF US UNWASHED MASSES (WHATEVER YOUR SKIN PIGMENTATION,CULTURE OR RELIGON)
GET THE SOCIALISM: SHACK LIKE HOMES OR MAYBE DORMS LIKE IN CHINA, BUS-LINE, BIKES OR FEET, KITES OR BALOONS, HAMBURGER HELPER W/O THE HAMBURGER, AND VERY FEW IF ANY FREEDOMS. SOUND STIMULATING FOLKS???

      • jibbs

        Go away!

      • Vicki

Hi Eddie47d. Question for you. If the Democrats are so good and nice can you tell me please why the Patriot Act still exists no matter who passed it?

After all the Democrats had a super majority in the house, a filibuster proof senate and a Democrat signing as president. They had this for 2+ YEARS.

Yet the Patriot Act is still here. Democrats are not your friend.

      • Dan az

        [offensive post removed].

      • Kate8

I’m slightly amused at the “insult removed” from my post, but I assure you all that no profanity was involved. I think I said something like “idiotic”, and it was directed at eddie’s arguments, not eddie. I’ve certainly seen a lot worse words used to describe lib comments. In fact, the libs routinely say worse to me!

Are the speech police becoming less tolerant here? So now we’re being censored over this type of thing?

        Sheesh.

      • Dan az

        Kate
Same here!all I said to eddie was that TSA had job openings and left a site for him that I made up which was funny but I guess we will never know if he tried it!No profanity here either!

      • Carlucci

Well, I had an insult removed. It was not profanity. The “insult” was “lib****”, something that I’ve said over and over on this blog. Can someone enlighten us why all of a sudden these terms are off limits? I can understand profanity like f-bombs and the like being removed, but “lib****”?

      • Kate8

Carlucci – We are all adults here, and we certainly don’t need to be treated like children.

This is stupid. Oops. I suppose that will get an “insult removed”.

If this keeps up, I’ll be outta here. We’ve got enough control freaks breathing down our necks everywhere else.

      • http://?? Joe H.

        eddie,
Who had the super majority and could have passed anything they wanted for two out of the last three years??? The progressive libbies, that’s who!!! If the patriot act was so vile to them, they could have very easily gotten rid of it!! Guess what, they didn’t!!!

      • libertytrain

Carlucci – perhaps they are breaking in new staff members – and or everyone is on holiday – that normally does this work :)

      • Dan az

        Kate
I’m with ya.give me some sites that might be of interest.Looks as if we are being monitored and censored,I hope that’s not true Bob Livingston. It seems that way.

      • Al Sieber

Danaz, that must of been one hell of a website

      • DaveH

My guess is that Bob’s got a new guy policing the board, and that he’s gotten a little over-zealous.
But, it really would be good if we stayed away from the name-calling unless somebody draws first blood. Even then, although I think it would be perfectly justified, we should try to avoid it. And I’m not trying to act holier than thou. As many of you know, I can be very insulting to those people (usually Liberals) who personally attack me out of the blue.
Many years ago when I used to watch the political debates between Democrat and Republican pundits, the first thing I noticed was that the Democrats would almost always use manipulative tactics — name calling, eye-rolling, snickering, other forms of manipulation. And I would get so frustrated with the Republicans because they would just stoically take it and carry on with their factual discussions. I wanted them to point that out every time the Democrats did it, because I really think most people aren’t aware of their childish manipulative tactics. But the end result of that was that I came away with little to no respect for Democrats, even though sometimes they are right (rarely).

      • Dan az

        Dave
I didn’t call him a name all I did was give a bogus site to sign up for the TSA which was I think (tsawantsinbreds@yahoo.com) thats it.even eddiee would find that amusing!

      • Hat

        Carlucci and other regular posters.

This is JeffH and I’m using my alternet email address because I was blocked by PLD yesterday after a few postings. None of them contained any personal attacks and I couldn’t even post on Chip’s Hambuger thread.

This happened after I posted an email I had recieved that had no foul language or personal attacks directed at anyone. It was a humorous but, “mentaly suggestive” body search scenario by airline security. It was humorous and not even PG13. The comment was totally removed and I was blocked from comment after that.

Perhaps there is a hardcore moderator or a liberal has infiltrated PLD as an employee/moderator. Either way, it was uncharacteristic of this website, which has always promoted the idea of freedom of speech with minimal limitations.

I have sent 2 emails asking for an explanation, I do hope PLD will at least respond.

      • Kate8

HAT (JeffH) – This is outrageous! We need to get to the bottom of this.

All I posted was that eddies argument was idiotic. No name calling or anything.

        I can’t believe you’ve been blocked.

Something’s not right here. I guess liberty is dead here, too.

      • Hat

Kate8, exactly…it isn’t a coincidence either. Something is amiss here and I do hope Mr. Livingston becomes aware and isn’t laying down any new rules we don’t know about. I had decided before yesterday to give everyone a break from my eddie rift and just ignore him for awhile so I know I did nothing wrong to warrant complete censorship.

As with others, had I been out of line I would at least expect to be chastized before being completely blocked. I posted nothing out of the ordinary.
FYI, I’m using the same computer so I know they’re not blocking my IP address.

      • DaveH

I think most likely Bob has an overly zealous employee who is acting unilaterally. But if it happens to you again, Jeff, find a way to slip back in to let me know, and I will figure out a way to keep in contact with you. Hate to lose your input, buddie. Same goes for Al, DanAz, Kate, Carlucci, and many others who I like and trust.

      • JeffHat

DaveH, thanks and likewise. I have/will at least figure out how to get back in. I agree with you about an overzealous moderator. I can’t imagine that Mr. Livingston would just arbitrarily and all of a sudden start censuring and blocking posters and comments without some kind of warning.

      • Dan az

        Thanks Jeff
Bobs probably taking a break and hadn’t notice so I will stick around to see how this plays out.I posted something on how the administration is using this guy lee to infiltrate web sites that are critical of obummer and maybe it has something to do with this?We will see.

        Albino,
I am glad you are. I don’t agree with you but good honest healthy debate is always good.

I doubt if the airlines really care. Fedzilla will just keep propping them up with more bail out money.

      • http://certus-certus.blogspot.com Raymond Harbin

CARLUCCI; ON YOUR COMMENT ABOUT VERBOTEN WORDS AND COMMENT REJECTIONS– I HAVE NOTICED THE “NEW ADDITIONS” TO THE NO NO TERMS ALSO– FOR A WHILE I ATTRIBUTED THIS TO CENSORIAL ILLITERACY– NOT SURE, BUT I FEEL THAT SOME OF THIS IS DEFINITELY TRUE– BUT FRIENDS IN BIRMINGHAM, ATLANTA, AND ESPECIALLY IN CALIFORNIA SWEAR THAT THIS IS THE PRODUCT OF CENSORIOUS PERSONALITIES THAT ACTUALLY GET A “POWER SURGE,” SEXUAL THRILL, BY BEING THE “FINAL WORD” AUTHORITY, AND HAVE A SELF IMPOSED QUOTA FOR SEXUAL FULFILLMENT: “POWER CORRUPTS,AND ABSOLUTE POWER CORRUPTS ABSOLUTELY.” GENERAL SYSTEM OVERHEADS DO NOT WATCH THESE BIMBOS CLOSELY AS LONG AS THEY DON’T STOP THE SHOW. A GUY, ALSO IN CALIFORNIA SAID THAT HE KNOWS OF BAR BUDDIES WHO WORK FOR CONSERVATIVE VENUES– BUT THEY, THEMSELVES ARE RANK SOCIALIST FIFTH COLUMNISTS, WHO WILL REJECT MOST OF THE REALLY EFFECTIVE CONSERVATIVE COMMENTS– AND BOAST THE NIGHT AWAY AFTER THEY HAVE ONE TOO MANY WITH THEIR DRINKING BUDDIES.

The elite are laying claim to ALL resources. When it comes to water, they plan to limit us to 26gallons per day, for EVERYTHING (see Agenda 21).

Like I said before, expect things to move very fast now.

      • DaveH

Unbelievable Dan. According to this link (from the article), it never got passed:
        http://www.govtrack.us/congress/bill.xpd?bill=h111-3534

Still, it makes my point, I think, about term limits because the Senate probably didn’t want to make waves with the election coming up.

      • DaveH

Here is a link for the roll call vote in the House. If any of the Yeas are still around, we need to vote those traitorous suckers out of office. Even my very Liberal Congresswoman (since thrown out of office) voted against this stinker:
        http://clerk.house.gov/cgi-bin/vote.asp?year=2010&rollnumber=513

      • Kate8

Dan az – Kind of ironic, don’tcha think?

We’re on a sight supposedly dedicated to personal liberty, but our free speech is censored.

      • Dan az

The lack of trust comes to mind.Free Speech hmmm couldn’t mean as I say would it?

      • Hat

Kate8, if that is the case then I’m finished with it all. I, JeffH, was blocked from posting at all under my normal name and email I use for this website. I certainly would find it difficult that Bob would sanction the behavior of yesterdays board moderator but if that is the case…I outa here.

      • Kate8

Hat(JeffH) – Hey, if you go, I go.

This is BS. I’ve lost trust in this site. Until things are put right, that’s where I am with it.

      • Kate8

Hat – What they’ve done to you really makes me mad, thinking about all of the really despicable posts by (mostly) liberals to some of our posters here, that were allowed to go through.

I can’t believe we haven’t gotten a word from the staff.

      • JeffHat

Kate8, I’m sure they’re off for the holiday. I’m a patient man and I can wait and see if there is any explanation on Tuesday. I would expect, from the complaints from this thread, that there would be some sort of comment or statement from PLD. If not, then I’ll just take my “business” elsewhere, where freedom of speech is revered and censorship is just a word.

      • Dan az

        Kate/Jeff/Dave/Carluci
I’m with ya there,If there is another site like this that we can all meet on Please share it so we can stay in contact with each other. This is disturbing to say the least!

      • Jana

If it keeps up I will find a different site to get on.

Kate 8; Nothing idiotic about what I said and too many of you are closet Republicans who get too embarrassed to admit it. Some of your co-conspirators have had some of their “words” taken off and some of you go into auto pilot and blame liberals. Instead of taking responsibility for what you say. That is the left right blame game you keep dancing around.

      • Kate8

eddie – I stand by what I said, insult notwithstanding. Your argument WAS idiotic, as is most of what you say.

As for being a “closet Republican”, I’ve stated that I used to be Republican, and would be still if I trusted them. I am still on the Right; no apologies here.

You have to be aware that the Left is against free speech for all but yourselves, and is working hard to, not just silence the Right, but criminalize conservatism. Anyone who supports a system promoting this is evil beyond words, and that includes you.

      • eddie47d

Conservatives need to stick to basic values and stop going out into right field. Yes you can be one of them and those right fielders can be criminal in nature too.

It’s either that, or she loses a job she has 25 years in and about six years of education. You guys that don’t HAVE TO travel find it very easy to say boycott the airlines! Tell you what, why don’t YOU try boycotting high gas prices and not drive for a year?? Same thing!

      • jibbs

I think you mis-understood what was being said.

    • EddieW

I totally agree with you…My brother died in Calif last Nov…and I would not go to the funeral, because I do not want to be exposed to super high radiation, which will make your thyroid cancerous, or be grappled by perverts!! It would have taken too long to drive, so I had to miss his funeral!
The rest of the States need Texas, and Texas needs nothing from any other state!! they can tell the government to go to hell, we won’t ship anything out of state, if you make us a no fly zone, and we will see how long the Union stands!!! Not Long I assure you!!!

    • Jack the FAC

What can you expect us to get with a government headed up by a Chicago gangland mobster like Hussein Obamanation? Let’s face, there is no POLITICAL solution to this communist gangster thug-goverment that we have. I fear the only way we will get our country back will be the way we got our country in the first place.
What the south is getting is a rerun of the so-called Reconstruction. Look what Holdem-up and his Office of Injustice just did to Arizona and Texas.

    • http://Moreexpensive,moreunknowproblems. Lewis Munn

Did the government say they would shoot down any passenger planes flying to/fro Texas if the law had been passed?. If so, can we jail the government for threatening murder?

Also, do we have military pilots who will fire on our own civilian unarmed plans and destroy them and the passengers?

Maybe we need legislators who will have the guts to send up a plane, but put robot passengers inside, and pilot it remotely, and test if the government pilots will really destroy civilians!

Film the whole thing, and show it nationwide if they did!

    • Christin

      Dave H,
      :) Huevos… aren’t those “eggs”?? :)

I am disappointed that our Conservative Texas guy caved to the stupid gov thugs… so no flights into our state … stay out… get another handful of states to do the same and the airline industry collapses… maybe then they will change their minds then.

I have a feeling more than the public threat was made for him to change his mind…probably a call or visit threatening him and his family’s lives… after all the NWO is at stake and they DON’T want to let us Freedom Conservatives GAIN any ground and reverse the tidal wave of evil coming to drown us.

Did you guys hear about the gov trying to shut down West Texas oil drilling (on Hannity last night)? (Haven’t watched tv in a while.)

Some one (EPA plant ?) found a “lizard’ that lives in the sand below a desert bush and they are TRYING to say it may be indanger due to habitat being taken away from drilling sites. [Sound a LOT like the "delta Smelt" minnow situation in CA???] NO ONE WORKING on these oils sites has ever seen this lizard. And I might add these small oil drilling sites are NOT NEW… Texas has been drilling since the beginning of oil boom time in these rural places with vertually no population. The Texas oil is so good that it has become the ‘STANDARD’ for ALL other oil drilled for and refined.

I SMELL a RAT trying to STOP oil and gasoline production in TEXAS… to take down our state and bankrupt us so that the people scream for gov help when they are starving and homeless thanks to the gov interferance…

        DaveH,

        I quite agree.

        “Stupidity” is taking its place.

FOR OVER 25 YEARS I HAD AN ARLINGTON, TEXAS OFFICE OF ONE OF MY ATLANTA COMPANIES. MY OPERATIONAL PARTNER HAD A STANDARD REPLY WHEN ANYONE DESPOILED THE HONOR OF TEXAS– “YOU DON’T MESS WITH TEXAS.” I, TOO HOPE THAT THE OBAMATHUGS RUN HEAD ON INTO THIS MASSIVE STONEWALL.

      • http://?? Joe H.

        Raymond,
My Brother in law lives in Houston and when the folks went to see him, they brought me a hat back with that very saying embroidered on it. DON’T MESS WITH TEXAS!!!

I read that this morning some where. Its like a freight train out of control.I posted a site that I picked up yesterday about they hired A guy to come to these site with crew and debunk anything we say and take names of people that bad mouth this administration, but cant find it here or where I got it.Hell getting old.If you find another site like this let me know,I feel like were being censored and don’t like it.

      • Albino.

DanAZ…….. Paranoia getting hold of y there??? How are they censoring you?? All I see is a bunch of people writing what every pops into there brain! Do you really think the gov has that much control? May be they have absolutely no control and they only want you to think they do?

      • Dan az

        Albino
        I dont think so.
WASHINGTON — The Obama administration has created and staffed a new position tucked inside their communications shop for helping coordinate rapid response to unfavorable stories and fostering and improving relations with the progressive online community.

“This week, Jesse Lee will move from the new media department into a role in the communications department as Director of Progressive Media & Online Response,” read an internal memo from Communications Director Dan Pfeiffer, provided to The Huffington Post. “For the last two years, Jesse has often worn two hats working in new media and serving as the White House’s liaison with the progressive media and online community. Starting this week, Jesse will take on the second role full time working on outreach, strategy and response.”

The post is a new one for this White House. Rapid response has been the purview of the Democratic National Committee (and will continue to be). Lee’s hire, however, suggests that a portion of it will now be handled from within the administration. It also signals that the White House will be adopting a more aggressive engagement in the online world in the months ahead.

Lee has played that role in the past, including writing a semi-infamous White House blog post that said Fox News’ Glenn Beck was lying about the administration on his show. His new gig comes with its own Twitter account, precisely for the purposes of disseminating push back.

An equally telling requirement of Lee’s new job, however, is that of crafting strategy for outreach to the progressive community. Lee has been tasked with that responsibility in his previous incarnations, both as a member of the DNC online team during the ’08 election and as a senior new media adviser with then-House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.).

His new post may require even more delicate hand-holding. Instead of managing the administration’s web presence, he will be pressing to make the administration more popular on the web. In that respect, his Twitter account could also become an interesting window into the status of the always emotional, occasional testy dance between progressives and the president.

Lee enjoys good relationships with much of the online community, but as a member of the administration for the past two years he has also had his moments of friction.

Dan az – This is truly frightening. They are stopping us from communicating freely among ourselves.

And it’s been 2 days now, and no response from PLD.

Without sites like this, how can we talk?

The answer is, we can’t. That’s the whole idea.

Welcome to the O – world, the new Soviet.

      • JeffHat

Dan & Kate8, it makes me consider pulling up stakes and living in a situation very much like a Randy Weaver/Ruby Ridge lifestyle. Minimum contact with the outside world and depend on no one except family and your closest of friends. Trust no one! It’s getting pretty pathetic in America when a social person such as myself starts considering a move that drastic.

      • DaveH

Settle down you guys. I think Albino’s right to a certain extent, and I think you’re right.
One would have to be completely detached from reality to NOT think that Obama isn’t trying every which way to censor the opposition. But I’m with Albino in the sense that I think he would most likely fail in that effort. But we do need to be vigilant as citizens and do everything in our power to keep these creepy Government Goons from getting their foot in the door legally. They almost passed that Internet bill months ago while most of us were sleeping. That includes Republicans as well as Democrats. We cannot rely on Republicans to get the job done. They (most of them) are as complicit in the Power grab, as are the Democrats.
We have gotten to this point in time because Republicans grew Government with their Drug policies and Military policies, and the Democrats grew Government with their Welfare-state policies. In a sense, most of us (not me) deserve what’s happening because we turned a blind eye to Freedom in our efforts to impose our pet peeves on the other citizens. Maybe now that things are getting out of control, people will start becoming reacquainted with Real Freedom. That means leaving your fellow citizens alone as long as they are not trespassing on the bodies and properties of others. I won’t hold my breath.

      • Kate8

Dan az – Maybe the guy they hired is Albino.

      • Kate8

DaveH – Apparently you haven’t gotten the memo.

This guv is not longer hindered by “legality”.

      • Albino.

Why thanks Kate8 for the plug!

      • DaveH

I know that, Kate, but I think the rest of us are.

      • DaveH

I meant MOST of the rest of us are.

I do already and have for the past sixteen or seventeen yrs now.Its probably the best thing I did for this family, there all here and are ready.
Things are moving pretty fast now and I must admit that I don’t see an end to it.I just hope that all of you are ready because I don’t see it being much longer before they accomplish their objective. That’s why I really like this site, we can and do prepare others for whats coming. There’s not much we can do about whats coming except spread the word and be alert and prepared. If there is an election which I have doubts maybe then we can change things but first we have to have one to make it happen.Your not Paranoid if they are really are out to get ya!

      I’m with you.
