Barack Attack!

May 18, 2011 by

Barack Attack!

“They want what every first-term Administration wants — a second term.” — from the movie “Clear and Present Danger”

America hasn’t had a leader like President Barack Obama in generations. He is more shrewd than a Chicago mayor, more powerful than the Tea Party and able to read a teleprompter at a single glance. He is ObamaMan! Not since former President Harry Truman’s capture of former Prime Minister of Japan Hideki Tojo has the nation had such a “presidential” President.

The “interdiction” ordered against Osama bin Laden, aided by the best fighting force in the world, is sure to make Obama’s Nobel Peace Prize a footnote for some of his biographers. And depending on whom you listen to, the President has either eradicated Muslim extremism or set a course for democracy in the Middle East.

No doubt Hollywood producers are hoping Wesley Snipes will be released from jail so he can play the role of the commander in chief. Expect the screenplay to deviate from the truth. In the film version the President will probably overcome an army of Muslim bodyguards armed with AK-47s before kicking down a steel door and dealing with bin Laden mano a mano.

The true story is not nearly as engrossing. It is about a president desperate for reelection and seeking the spotlight for an American electorate who only glance at headlines.

But the question remains: Why did it take our government nearly a decade to kill the worst mass murderer of the 21st century? And why was our closest ally in the Middle East protecting him? In the final analysis, both Pakistan and the White House may have to answer for the medieval meltdown that is the Muslim world.

We are left watching The Barack Obama Tour, with visits by the President to Ground Zero, an hour-long interview on 60 Minutes and a jingoistic speech in front of America’s real patriots, the men who carried out the mission: the Navy SEAL assault force the President spoke to at Fort Campbell, Kentucky.

If you think I am wrong about Obama being an opportunist, consider what Gary D. Barnett wrote for The Daily Reckoning:

“There has never been such an opportunity for the U.S. government to stage a false flag event in order to start yet another war as there is today. The setup is obvious to Libertarians and some sane others, but it eludes most (sic) all Americans who are busy dancing in the street after the so-called killing of Osama bin Laden.

“Consider the timing of this attack by U.S. Navy SEALs, and then consider recent events. First, the economy is in shambles, unemployment is sky high, price inflation is excessive, and the U.S. military has been bombing civilians in an attempt to assassinate (Moammar) Gadhafi, including murdering innocent little children. Our money is being destroyed before our eyes. The wars are not going well for the ruling elite, and Obama’s ratings are horribly low at the beginning of his presidential crusade.

“What better reason then for an event to solidify the masses… ”

It is the dangerous masses, a growing Muslim mob that is becoming more belligerent to America each passing year. Arab governments collect billions of dollars from us while secretly supporting jihad when our backs are turned. What makes it all the more maddening is that a tidal wave of Arab hate created bin Laden and not the other way around.

More lives than a cat

According to the CBC TV program The Fifth Estate, there were nine previous attempts by the U.S. to kill or capture bin Laden before his death. They commenced with the Administration of former President Bill Clinton and finally succeeded this month. But should it take more than a decade and three Presidents to kill one man living next door to Pakistan’s version of West Point?

On more than one occasion, Pakistan’s government or security apparatus, the Inter-Services Intelligence (ISI), tipped off bin Laden. That is a bad deal to U.S. taxpayers who have provided Pakistan with more than $10 billion since 9/11. Then again, bin Laden was a cash cow for the Pakistani government, which only feigned being his bounty hunter.

But that gravy train might soon be over, as announced by Senator Dianne Feinstein, the head of the Senate Intelligence Committee. The Democrat from California said that if it turns out the Pakistani government knew where bin Laden was hiding, Congress may cut $1.5 billion dollars in annual aid to Pakistan. That should have happened years ago, and the Obama Administration knows it.

The problem with PakiSatan, a Muslim power with more than 100 nuclear warheads, is its intelligence service and the government itself are corrupt — begging for money from the United States in a pretense to arrest extremism while at the same time providing aid and support to Islamic extremists. The evidence comes from the Pakistani government which first insisted it knew nothing of the planned assault, then claimed to have provided crucial intelligence for the raid on the compound.

Pakistan can’t have it both ways, or can it? The government of Pakistan even wants an apology from Washington for conducting a military operation on its soil to get bin Laden. So strained have relations between the two countries become that, on occasion, U.S. troops have had to engage Pakistani soldiers in firefights, and the Navy SEAL team was prepared to shoot its way out of Pakistan should it have to engage the enemy… I mean ally.

It is hard to know who America’s real friends are in the Muslim world, as many Islamists are outraged over the killing of bin Laden. They don’t understand our outrage, and I partially blame Obama for that. Obama was sympathetic to the mosque being built next to Ground Zero and shared his outrage over Pastor Terry Jones’ burning the Quran.

American troops are still falling in Afghanistan as the Obama Administration props up corrupt and unpopular Muslim leaders. These diplomatic failures will in the end far outweigh the killing of one aging terrorist.

While it is wonderful to have bin Laden dead, others are carrying the torch of hate. In the end, one dead Saudi isn’t going to pave a road to peace.

Yours in good times and bad,

Why did it take so long to locate him? And how did we know his location before the raid? I find the timeing to be very suspect.

    • 45caliber

Supposedly, they didn’t know where he was but were watching a courier he trusted and used to reveal his location. Since Bin Laden refused to use a radio or telephone that might disclose where he was, couriers were the only other way to communicate. And, since he didn’t trust many to know where he was, that reduced the number of couriers he used.

They located that courier back about six months or a year ago and have been following him ever since. He went to Bin Laden’s house about four months ago or less and after investigation they decided that Bin Laden lived there. However, there were those in Washington that were afraid that if they raided it and Bin Laden was NOT there then Oblama would look bad so they kept holding off. Further, they wanted to make the raid at a time that was politically convenient. Finally they managed to talk Oblama into signing an order that was then stretched to the breaking point to justify going after him. Even then they didn’t tell Oblama that it was going on until it was far too late to stop the attack. Interestingly to me, Hillary and Biden both knew about it all the time – just not Oblama.

Before we can dispatch the snake, we have to take off the head. In this case, the head is NOT obama. The liberal media in this country has, for four decades, sought a puppet leadership that it could prop up and ram through the socio-communist, anti-America agenda it has long been infected with. The first thing we must do is relieve the media of it’s influence by doing it’s job for it. Trumpet the truth about the left at every opportunity and build the “Tea-Party” mindset to overthrow the jack-n-jane two party system that has played us like a worn fiddle for so long.

    • 45caliber

Back when I was still a kid, the news media reported who, what, when, why, where, and how. Period. In 1968 I saw a release by the Air Force Academy on the three rules of takeover of the US by the American Communist Party.

Rule #2 was: “Take control of the news media and use it to prevent the public from knowing what is going on in its legislative halls and to tear down the image of any natural leader the people might wish to follow.”

Since then the news media has dwindled to about half a dozen large corporations that control what news is printed and what isn’t. These are (but aren’t all of the groups) the TV news, American Radio Network, and two large newspaper chains.

Consider how the media has played up Oblama and has tried to destory the image of any conservative who appears to have a chance against him (such as Palin who was vetted more in the first two weeks after she was named than Oblama has yet been). And consider what is going on in Congress and your state legislature. They pass laws almost every day – how many of them have you heard about?

      • Wayne937

The Communist has already taken over the new media, 45calibur. I just don’t watch ABC, NBC, CBS for that very reason. Anyone who backs Obama will not get my support.

      • 45caliber

I think they took over the media back in the ’60s.

  • http://twitter.com/doitathometoday Ken

This world is nothing more than a stage for politicians, people like bin Laden & Gadhafi are just props for the writers, the handlers and managers of these politician to use. Obama’s handlers decided it was time to use bin Laden to move Obama up a notch in the play. The same with Gadhafi, Ollie North could have had him 40 yrs. ago, instead he is now being used as a prop, watch closely, it is a David Copperfield trick!

  • Robert Hauser

Yes, Myers, like all the rest of the maggotry of the media, be they so called “liberal” or flag waving “conservative”, chooses to blithely overlook by far the worst impediment to any excuse for world peace and that is and always has been Israel. Since when do the Pakis or any other MidEast people “owe” America any respect? For some reason I cannot quite bring myself to dance on the ceiling like Fred Astaire over the U.S. fedgov sanctioned murder of a man who has already been dead for ten years and who, hardly surprisingly, was created by the CIA anyway. I also find it curious, to put it mildly, that just mere days before this “glorious raid” on bin Laden’s hovel where mountainous piles of hard porn were supposedly “found”, America’s very own chocolate jesus went and officially presented us with the long awaited “long form” of his styled “birth certificate….a document that anybody with photoshop could have found more holes in than in the window screen of a Beltway brothel and which looked like it was forged by Obama’s daughter, Sasha, as a class project in school.

What a bald faced LIE this country has degenerated into….but then what more could anyone expect from a narcissistic mackdaddy joke of a Kenyan born primate prez surrounded by jewish Wall Street “advisers”?

I am concerned for the folks about the higher prices of all consumer goods. This crises rest squarely on Obama’s shoulder. He is against drilling for oil, against nuclear power, and he is against mining for coal. Everyone who defends this president should not be able to drive their cars, heat their homes, drive on asphalt roadway and the list goes on and on for over a hundred fold because this how many things we derive from petroleum. I am saying this because Obama’s supporters are using the very same things, oil, nuclear and coal, that Obama is against using. What hypocrits!!!! Obama’s against oil, yet he flies all over the world in that big jet consuming 36,000 gallons of jet fuel for every 10,000 flown. If he is so against oil why does he drive a car, why does he misuse this jet. If Congress had any guts, they would only let him use this jet to fly on very special occassions. Obama talks out of both sides of his mouth. I can’t understand why the poeple who are still following him does not see the damage he has done to this country. They must be receiving special favors some how for them to continue to support the worst president we have ever had in our nation. Folks, we can’t permit Obama to have another 4 year term. Let’s all get out there and fight, fight, and fight for a president that will lead us out of the current mess we are in. This country is surely in the doldrums. High unemplioyment rate, high oil prices, prices on all consumer goods on the rise. Obama was so determined to get that health care bill passed he wasted the first 2 years on it, and the “Cap & TRrade: bill. He did not do anything else in that 2 years. He should have been working on the high unemployment rate and to bring down the oil prices. Thank God the “Cap & Trade” bill got lost in the shuffle while they were bogged down with the health care bill, or we would be paying nearly double on our energy bills by now.

    • BOB

Wayne: You have a good point how ever you forgot to mention the covers on and the insides of Barack Obama AKA Barry Soetoro’s Golf Balls are made from OIL. Is The POTUS going to stop playing golf?? That would cut down on green house gasses a lot as he wouldn’t be outside breathing and sweating. God help us all LOCK AND LOAD PEOPLE

      • Wayne937

Bob, I could write a book on the evils of this president, but I thought everyone would get the gist of what I was trying to convey. Thanks for filling in some more points for me.

    • 45caliber

If you look at the leading liberals who are for saving the world and reducing emmissions – NONE of them actually are doing it. They are simply trying to make the rest of us do it.

It is like gun control or any of the other of their many beliefs – we want YOU to do it so we can continue our lifestyle in pleasure.

Just think how desparate Maobama and the maocrats must be to win another term. If a real leader becomes president, all the parasites like doc, anus, eddie and the rest of the coterie of cretins may have to actually produce to survive. A real leader may actually investigate the corruption of maobama and the maocrats and send them to jail. A real leader may actually end the system of parasitism and corruption that has existed in this country due to the vote buying free spending of the maocrats. A real leader just might get this country back on track and the freedom hating, tax grabbing, athiest scum of the maocrats might lose their death grip on the rest of us. Yes, I am sure that maobama is desparate to win and he will do anything to win. Watch out folks, this election could well be the last election we have before the iron curtain falls on America.

    • Wayne937

      Good article, Bob.

    • 45caliber

I suspect that the election next fall will decide what the people want. But I’m afraid that there may be a crisis that comes up between the first of November and Jan. 20th that will require Oblama and his administration to remain in office to handle it until “it is solved.” Can you say, “the rest of his life?”

      • Bob

I am afraid you may be right.

  • http://facebook anna onat

We need to stop giving billions of dollars of American money to other countries and start taking care of our own messes in the USA. And the first problem we need to clean up is our government. Bring our troops back home and have them help along the borders. I really don’t understand why Obama is favoring the illegals and not helping out his own country men. No matter what color we are or who we are we are all American citizens and we should be helping each other, not fighting or disagreeing on things as our government is doing.

    • Nadzieja Batki

It is simply diluting the population. Government increases with those that will vote with the democrats who promise the most goodies and those same people will do anything to protect the getting of those goodies.

      • Wayne937

Your exactly right, Nadzieja. This country has two types of people: those of us who work and are responsible, and those who will not work, and are irresponsibility, It’s the workers who have to slave, and keep these parasites from starving to death, and to provide them with medical care. We need to rid our country of these irresponsible people, or let them go hungry.

    • Don

anna onat, What,,, you don’t know why odumbo is favoring illegals, open your eyes anna, he wants their vote, and then he can toss them aside like he’s done the past two years !!!

      • Nadzieja Batki

First of all, illegals cannot vote. Also green card holders cannot vote until they lived here a certain amount of time and then become citizens. If all these people do any voting they are committing a crime.
There are enough agencies that provide legal advice, jobs, food, clothing, etc., “professional do gooders” that are kept employed and do everything in their power to keep themselves employed. Since it is difficult to separate people from their money, the government is used to do this.

      • 45caliber

        Nadzieja:

Let me add one thing to what you just said. You said, “… the illegals can’t vote …”

Actually, it should be, “… the illegals can’t LEGALLY vote …”

Most of them do. We in Texas are trying to get a law passed to require voter ID’s to reduce the risk of illgal voting and the Dems are coming unglued. It has passed the legislature and has gone to the governor who states he will sign it. But there are already moves to file court suits to block it. Even then, it won’t actually stop the illegals from voting here because you can vote with a driver’s license – and the government isn’t allowed to check ID before giving those. But it will slow down multiple voting by the same person since it is harder to produce multiple IDs to go with multiple voter registration cards that ACORN and others like to use.

      • eddie47d

You and Nadzieja are throwing out desperate swill but it’s all landing back on you. Sometimes Caliber you are like Humpty Dumpty for you are full of cracks.

        http://www.themonitor.com/articles/rio-45868-seldom-south.html

eddie, you are once again on the losing side of the debate. One of many recent reports on Texas voter “irregularites” and outright fraud. Try not to be so partisan. Maybe, just maybe you may want to “pull the log out of your own eye”. Sorry, I couldn’t help the Biblical reference here…it just seemed so fitting.

      • DaveH

Eddie, you could use your talents to start your own company. It could be titled “PERSONAL ATTACKS R’US”.

      • 45caliber

        eddie:

I can see that you haven’t anything to rebut. So you attack instead. All I stated were facts. You can look them up if you like. But if you don’t want to agree with them, it doesn’t make me cracked. Not that I mind if you call me that …

      • JeffH

45caliber, I take my hat off to you for your patience and I don’t think I would want to be around when you lose it.

      • eddie47d

I learned the personal attacks from Dave H. So who says conservatives can’t educate?

    • 45caliber

      anna:

At present, about 45% of the people will vote for the Democrats even if they ran a dog for office. About 45% will vote against them for the same reasons. That means roughly 10% of our population will decide any election.

BUT … if you can import enough people to add another 5% to the Democrat firm vote, you don’t really have to worry about that 10%. You already have it and can do what you wish. That’s what the Dems are pushing for by allowing in all the illegals.

  • sonnieC

Since Obama took over as our so called president, The snunk has replaced the Eagle as the new symbol of America. It is half white half black and everything it does STINKS.

You have that RIGHT ! Can’t wait for NOV.

    • 45caliber

Hummm. I hadn’t thought of that. You are right.

Sonny, Can you give a good reason why your statement should not be viewed as a purely racist statement??

Against which half, white or black?

Well Bob, how has it been going for this administration to date or is this really Bob Wire?

Most often, your comments are very reasoned and other times rambling. We don’t agree on many issues but I know you are an intelligent person but sometimes what is said doesn’t sound like Bob Wire.

  • http://n/a Anna M

If this article doesn’t clear it up for you (the American voters), I don’t know what will. For the exact reasons stated is why the Tea Party exists…more power to them and I hope they press forward with more vigor as the election date gets closer.

It’s all about race, nothing more.

      B. Holmes … The race card has been used over and over again. Get over it! Barry is a mulatto. He’s as much white as he is black!

      • ValDM

        Robin,
The O’boy is more white than anything else, followed by Arab, & lastly black.

      • smilee

Robin why do you refer to the truth as the race card?????

      • Robin from Arcadia, IN

smilee… The truth is NOT the race card. I have very high hopes that Allen West will decide to throw in his hat for the GOP nomination. I don’t care if he is purple! I want someone in the White House that loves this country and wants to get it back on her feet! We do not need any more self-loving, narcissistic, under-acheivers like Barry!

You mean with how much he hates whites (=capitalists), how does someone justify in their own mind hating half of themselves so much?
That really has to play a big hit on one psychologically.

There is doubt now that our president is even an American. So until this is worked out I do not plan to do anything costing money. But I am pleased a few people got jobs in IL. That is the best news this week.

    • Jovianus

There is no doubt. He is eligible to hold the office of POTUS. He is an American.

  • TONY D

I will forever remain amazed at utter irrationality.
Both parties and the nation would be best served by rational discourse and actions, not the irrational emotional rantings that pervade much of the dialog here. It can have no positive impact on anyone or anything.

    • Jeep

Tony, the time for rational debate has long since passed. Whether you are left or right, both sides are completely polarized. How can anyone have a “discussion” with a prez that decalres his goal is to “fundamentally change America”? Or, such gems as, “I mean, I do think at a certain point you’ve made enough money.” And, “”I think when you spread the wealth around, it’s good for everybody.” But, what is really tragic is the view that the left holds for the right, “It’s not surprising, then, they get bitter, they cling to guns or religion or antipathy to people who aren’t like them or anti-immigrant sentiment or anti-trade sentiment as a way to explain their frustrations.” The problem is that the left is intent on reshaping the United States from a nation of rugged individualism, where everyone is given the chance to succeed, or fail. And, transorm it into a nation where everyone has an “equal” outcome. They have no problem “taking” from the rich, ala “Robin Hood”, to “give” to the poor. Whether it is health care or housing, this administration wants to “provide” it all. But, at what cost? And, this is why we cannot have a rational dialog. Libertarians/Conservatives believe that what is mine is mine and I need to be personally responsible for myself and my family. Liberals like the prez believe that life is fundamentally unfair to all but a few and it is the role of big govt to “level” the playing field and take from those who “have” to give to those who “don’t”. How can there be compromise?

      • Cliffystones

Obama has also stated that he believes he is “his brothers keeper”. The problem is that the cage is too small and he never cleans it!

      • patty
      • Wayne937

Obama does not even help his poor half brother who is still living in Kenya on $10.00 a month. Oh! by the way, one of Obama’s relative that was ordered to leave the US since she was not a citizen still remains in this country. She was ordered out by a judge, she refused to leave. As soon as Obama got elected president they let her become a US Citizen. Does this shock anyone???? Obama controls our courts & Congress. This is why he is called the “Anointed One”. He is the dictator.

      • 45caliber

Jeep. You are ALMOST right. They have no problem taking money from some to give to others – as long as it isn’t their money. Take the Kennedy’s for instance. Does any one actually believe that Ted Kennedy would actually give up his wealth to live like the poorest in his district? Does anyone actually believe Oblama will? He stated that at some point everyone has enough money – but he is worth millions and possibly billions if some of the rumors I hear are true. Why hasn’t he given all of that up to help the poor in our country?

The real goal is to take money from those who might disagree with the Dems and give to those who agree with them. It buys more votes, keeps their followers loyal, punishes those who don’t agree with them, and insures those who don’t agree will never be in any possition to challenge their power.

      • Jeep

45, your point is well taken!

      • eddie47d

Stop having another Republican pity party when they do exactly what you say about the Democrats. They have their keepers who control the flow of money in elections and in government.

      • Jeep

eddie, you are such a flaming idiot! Man, you’ve got me laughing so hard…Who said anything about Rep or Dem? Oh, but the shoe must fit, so you assumed that when I said “take your money” I must have meant the Dem party! You moron, both parties have a problem with spending money that does not belong to them. It is CLEARLY a Conservative/Liberal thing. Libs like you are sanctioned thieves, and Conservative thinkers are from whom you steal. Easy enough to understand?

      • eddie47d

Jeep; …Caliber 45 I’ll leave out the name calling as you didn’t do.

      • 45caliber

eddie: Really? I didn’t realize I’d called anyone any names in that post.

I will agree that the GOP collects their money from the same people as the Dems if that is what you mean. I think the real fight among the GOP is that some will obey the old RINOs and some won’t. The Dems all walk in lock-step right now.

      • Jeep

Really eddie? The best response you can give is to claim to take the “high road”? Yes, you are an idiot, as an ideological moron you deserve the title you have earned. Your left leaning partisan political bent is clearly founded in greed. I have an ability to recall the many times you have posted short, nasty remarks. In this case, eddie, you responded to a post not directed at you. So, if you can’t take it, do not make silly, incorrect posts. Or, go to an English class and learn a little about comprehension. It may serve you well as I think Fla schools are a little behind on English education, you know, with all the emphasis placed on educating illegals.

    • Cliffystones

      Tony,

There are and have been plenty of rational arguments. The simplest of them being 1+1=2. You are correct in your assertion that emotion clouds the issues. I’m as emotional as the average Liberal, but I will not let those emotions stand in the way of logic. You can’t feed the poor or create world peace by simply printing sheets of paper with portraits of Ben Franklin on them. This is the irrational concept that’s ruining the country.

      • 45caliber

I agree. Corn has a value. Wheat has a value. Printed paper is already worthless because it can’t be used for something else.

      • patty

Sure it can. Toilet paper, starting fires….

      • 45caliber

True. And if they continue to devaluate the dollar as they have been, it will probably be used for that purpose. But dollars are really too stiff to make good toliet paper…

      • patty

45 – Not the old ones. Or you could put it through the washing machine. Wait, the unions will want it back a “laundred money” to give to Obamas campaign. :)

  • http://! Angel Wannabe

The picture above of Obama looks as if he’s trying to “Anoint” someone, geesh!

    • Dan az

Or he is singing the supremes song (Stop in the name of luv)LOL!

      • http://! Angel Wannabe

Dan Az, thats a thought too! :)

  • Wayne937

This came in my e-mail. There has never been truer words spoken:
QUOTE OF THE CENTURY, MAYBE EVEN THE MILLENNIUM
Some people have the vocabulary to sum up things in a way you can understand them. This quote came from the Czech Republic . Someone over there has it figured out. We have a lot of work to do.

“The danger to America is not Barack Obama but a citizenry capable of entrusting a man like him with the Presidency. It will be far easier to limit and undo the follies of an Obama presidency than to restore the necessary common sense and good judgment to a depraved electorate willing to have such a man for their president. The problem is much deeper and far more serious than Mr. Obama, who is a mere symptom of what ails America . Blaming the prince of the fools should not blind anyone to the vast confederacy of fools that made him their prince. The Republic can survive a Barack Obama, who is, after all, merely a fool. It is less likely to survive a multitude of fools such as those who made him their president.”

    • Doc Sarvis

Oh good, yea; we should take advice from the Czech Republic.

      • Wayne937

Who said anything about taking advise from the Czeck Republic, Doc. This is one man’s opinion, and a good one I might add. Go back and read this again. This statement is referring to people like you, if you votee for Obama. Is this why it touched a nerve with you???? Yes! we have to cast blame on all the imbeciles who voted for this man. This is all this message was referring to. I am sure most Conservatives will agree with the message. I wonder about you though, Doc.

      • eddie47d

That quote could have been said about G Bush so what about all the imbeciles who voted for him? Both have their bad sides and good sides. So what is solved by our labeling and constantly repeating ourselves?

      • patty

Maybe you think it could have. But it WASN’T. Wanting it doesn’t make it so.

      • DaveH

This article puts it in a nutshell (albeit a large nutshell):
        http://mises.org/daily/4125

      • patty

That was not 1st penned by someone in the Czech Republic.
As it turns out, the quote originated in an American blog in December 2009, rather than a Czech newspaper in April 2010
        http://milwaukee.wisgop.info/tag/voters/

      • Wayne937

Patty, it could have been, I don’t really know. I received it in an e-mail and I liked the message so I though I would pass it on. I agree with it regardless where it came from.

      • patty

I agree too. I was just commenting on Doc’s comment and where it came from.

      • DaveH

You can learn from anybody, Doc. Don’t be an elitist pig.

      • patty

Not when you have been programmed to do otherwise.

    • Al Sieber

Good one Wayne, and true, you’d be surprised at the number of countries that think we’re dumb.

      • smilee

Sure but they do not think that way because of Obama they think that way because of people like you who have become so noisy they can be heard around the world and that is what they are laughing at. Obama is well liked by most around the world and even in this country by polls on him as a person, they are quite a bit higher than polls that address the job he is doing

      • Al Sieber

smilee, they think that way because they’re more informed then us and been through hyperinflation and lost everything, the dollar never crashed here before, you’re in for a rude awaking.

      • smilee

That ain’t what the told me and I have many friends in other countries and none have agreed with your take

      • 45caliber

smilee: I’ve got friends in other countries – and they tell me the opposite. Odd …

      • Al Sieber

Well smilee, they must be as ignorant as you are.

      • Al Sieber

smilee, the blind leading the blind, like you, in the “Land of the Blind the one eyed man is King”, that ain’t you.

      • Nadzieja Batki

Of course they will like someone like themselves.

      • patty

Smilee-Are you comparing him to a blind date? What do they look like? He is a really nice person….
Here is what they really think:http://www.theblaze.com/stories/swiss-investor-foreigners-laugh-as-obama-prostitutes-himself/
http://www.ihatethemedia.com/australian-prime-minister-gives-obama-an-ipod-loaded-with-anti-american-music And there is more of the same.

      • DaveH

Whatever you say, Sleepee. We all trust your word. Sure.

      • Wayne937

smilee, I’ll take a good honest Conservative person anytime over your likes, and the ones you support. Our nation needs some one who the people can look up with respect. We don’t seem to have that anymore.

      • Jovianus

Can’t say we could argue about that Al. We elected reagan who began the attack on the Middle Class, and we did give Bush/Cheney eight years to screw things up.

      • DaveH

Where did the middle class money go? Well, duh, let’s see. Government spent about 20% of GDP in 1950. Now they spend about 40% of GDP.
I lived in a poor neighborhood in 1950, and things were much better there then, than they are now. It’s like gang-land there now. It’s so nice to have Big Government looking out for us all.

      • Nadzieja Batki

So Socialist and Terrorist countries think we are dumb. What have they to feel superior about. It is America’s money which bought the clothing to cover their worthless carcasses.

      • eddie47d

N.D. The Arab countries bought their clothes from China or Indonesia just like we do and with their own oil money. Europe also buys goods from China and probably with their own money.

      • 45caliber

Actually, Nadzieja, they are right. Our government is dumb. We have more known oil reserves that the rest of the world put together. Why don’t we drill it, make ourselves indepentent of the rest of the world, and then sell them oil so we can get rich off it?

    • DaveH

      Excellent quote, Wayne, thank you.

  • Jim

IN 2012 ,EVEN IF YOU THINK THE CHOICE ISN’T CLEAR , ..IT IS !!!!!!!…… YOU CAN VOTE FOR A COMMUNIST,SOCIALIST,MARXIST,MUSLIM OR …..AN AMERICAN, ITS VERY SIMPLE AND ANY RED BLOODED AMERICAN SHOULD HAVE NO PROBLEM MAKING THIS DECISION………………
BHO = AMERICAS PUBLIC ENEMY MUSLIM TERRORIST NUMBER ONE

    • Robin from Arcadia, IN

JIm… I agree that anybody would be better than Obama, but the GOP had better come up with someone who isn’t a RINO. I don’t want to ‘settle’ the next election. I want to be excited for who I am voting for.

    • Doc Sarvis

At this point Jim, I agree that the choice is clear. I don’t see a good candidate yet from the GOP. I do not know who would be running as a Communist,Socialist,Marxist,Muslim and I doubt they would get any votes. The clear choice now is our current leader, President Obama – a centrist Democrat.

      • Robin from Arcadia, IN

Doc… Barry may be your choice, but he won’t be mine. You are entitled to your opinion; my Dad fought in WW II so that we could still have our rights. Our country is going to hell in a hand basket and you just comment in a conservative blog just to see who you can get into a lather. When America implodes, many will finally see who is responsible. The list will be long and I think the Dems side will only be slightly longer than the GOP side. We have been sheeple for decades and finally are waking up. Hopefully it won’t be too late.

      • Wayne937

Robin, I think your right about the Liberals, like Doc. I think we should start ignoring them. We know by the way they think, they are irrational. I don’t think anyone can be this dumb, or are they? Maybe you are right, they just want to stir the pot. We certainly do have a few folks on here who are mixed up. Maybe they had fallen on their head as youngsters. I have brothers who were in the military. One brother of mine was in Germany in 1942 through 1945 and then he served again in Korea when that nmilitary action was gtoing on. Yes! we need to protect our freedom from our current government as well as all foreign enemies. Our freedom under Obama is quickly fading away. We have to get out and fight for a good honest president the next go around.

      • Push comes to shove

Wayne and Robin you are so right about liberal bloggers, and commentaors as well. These Guys remind me of Alan combs who will say anything just to be on the other side of the fence, and defend the undefensible.

      • Doc Sarvis

The loss of our freedoms was FAR more under Bush. I don’t remember conservatives complaining much about it then.

      • DaveH

No, Wayne, they’re not that dumb. They are just feeding at the trough and will issue whatever nonsensical propaganda they can muster to keep their place at the trough.
Don’t worry, it will end when they run out of other peoples’ money.

Ever notice how this group of “intelligent” people can’t seem to make it on their own?

      • Jeep

Doc, libs used to be annoying with the “Just blame Bush” mantra. Now it’s just annoying. What’s worse for our “freedoms”, out of control spending, or out of control illegal immigration? Rising gas prices, or rising unemployment? High food prices, or high energy prices? The time for blaming anyone is long over. The time to exact some real “change” is at hand. Twenty years from now, will anyone care if it was Bush or Oman that spent this country into oblivion? Who will care what president was presiding when energy became so expensive that houses went dark and cold? The answers are simple, but pundits like you will happily crow about “your guy” all the way to third world status.

      • http://! Angel Wannabe

Robin H*ll the Libs won’t ever see whos responsible for anything, when we implode, they’ll just “Blame Bush”!

      • eddie47d

We took our bifocals off years ago Angel and we see very clearly. We see those who got us into forged wars whether Johnson in Vietnam Bush in Iraq or Obama in Libya. We see how the markets are gamed to favor certain segments of society while others suffer. We see criminals who are allowed in our corporations but we can’t call them that until they hit the multi-million dollar jackpot and wreck havoc on our economic system. Then it is so costly to prosecute them that the charges are dropped or reduced down to where they have no meaning. Then the next business goes out and does the same thing knowing there are few repercussions. We see people not paying taxes and finding all sorts of loopholes while the rest of us have a greater tax burden placed upon us. Sadly it’s groups like Sovereign Nation who refuse to pay taxes even those that are absolutely necessary. It’s one thing to take on the tax issue but to put the burden on someone else is wrong. Some of those folks are criminal and supported by the far right.

      • DaveH

So, Eddie, then you are saying Government is the root of all evil?

      • http://! Angel Wannabe

eddie, your forgetting the Corrupt-o-Congress, with 81 Socialists that are in there!_Obamas a puppet, has Veto power and, oh yes, can run the Country by “Executive Order” if he can’t get his way otherwise. Congress Legislates.

      • eddie47d

You proved my point Angel. Instead of tackling the problems from another presidency you choose to blame Obama! That’s been clear even before Obama was elected. If you Republicans dared to come out of the closet back then and took on Bush’s policies then you might have a leg to stand on. Now you are all smoke and mirror over the credibility issue.Obama supporters will be facing that same dilemma by the 2012 election

      • DaveH

Another ignorant statement from the dunderhead Eddie — “If you Republicans dared to come out of the closet back then and took on Bush’s policies then you might have a leg to stand on”.
        1) How do you know Angel is Republican?
        2) How do you know if Angel criticized Bush’s policies or not?
        3) How does a country ever change if nobody can change their mind on policies put in place by a predecessor?

It’s no wonder you needed to join a Union, Eddie.

      • http://! Angel Wannabe

eddie my friend, I’ve never said Bush was a saint. I’ve critized his policies as well as Bambi’s. Although I must admit not quite as much.
Back then, I wasn’t aware there were 81 Socialists in Congress, you know our Congress, the one that says Yes Sir to the masta and runs the country they way they’re told to?__For your info I am Republican, but I never said they were the perfect either.( Just for Shytes and Giggles, can’t you see that no matter WHO’S IN POWER, NOTHING EVER GETS DONE, IT JUST KEEPS GETTING WORSE?__ In fact over the past couple of years, I’d say, MOST NOT ALL REPUBS on the same path as Obama, but are just a lil’ slower at it. Or should I say not quite as out in the open._There a bunch of people that run this country, and they’ve done a fine job at keeping us in each other faces, with the LEFT AND RIGHT scheme of POLITICS. You, me and alot of folks were fooled, but some of us have woken up, hows about you?

      • Patty

Angel – Well put. Why is it that we keep screaming to get rid of the RINO’s. Why don’t they hear us saying we want new blood in there? Eddie – we are screaming it, at the top of our lungs practically. What do you think the Tea Party march on Washington was? So, actually, you can’t say that we are not telling them what they are doing is wrong on BOTH sides. Your guy is the one sticking with the status quo and doubling down on Bush’s bad policies. Not us.

      • Patty

Eddie-We are trying to change the face of Republicans. How many times have you heard us call to get the RINOS voted out? How many times have you heard people say that Obama has doubled down on a bad policy (Bush’s)? How many times have you read here that Bush and the Republicans in the last congress, that was democratic controlled, were no different than the democrats? How many people that were career politicians did we get voted out of office in 2010 to be replaced by others. And many of those people won against a RINO republican and a democrat and they beat them both. Don’t say we are not trying and accepting the status quo. We are not.

      • Bob

Maobama is not a centrist – he is as left as they get. Once again you prove yourself to be either a moron or a liar.

      • Doc Sarvis

If President Obama was as liberal as you claim he is we would be completely out of Iraq and Afghanistan. We would not have played any part in the current affairs in Libya. We would not have killed or even hunted down Osama bin Ladin. We would not have bailed out the Wall Street banks or the American car companies. There would be strict environmental regulations on fracking. I could go on and on. He is definitely a centrist.

      • S.C. Murf

He is doing exactly what his handlers are telling him to do

      • Jeep

We all get it Doc. The left is desparate to recast Oman as a “centerist”, you know, now that he is back in campaign mode. Way to hold the party line. How much do they pay you to sit around in your underwear in mommy’s basement to parrot the daily Democrat call lines anyway? Oman is way too far left to ever be considered a “centerist”, just ask him.

      • Nadzieja Batki

That is not true. Tangling up the country in wars dictated by the UN, diluting the population of the nation with people from other countries that have no intention of assimilating, etc.. that has been the scenario of the democrats and the RINOs

      • smilee

        S.C. Murf says:
        May 18, 2011 at 8:53 am

He is doing exactly what his handlers are telling him to do
        _______________________________________________________________

What a cop out statement!! Intelligence is not your best suit is it!!

      • Bob

Doc: Another lie from a lieberal liar – maobama and the maocrats are incrementalists – they move slowly hoping that no one will notice that they are up to; working towards the day when we will all wake up in a socialist pigtopia. Incrementalism is the way the maocrat scum took over the schools and the media and will be the way they take over the government. We know what you scum are up to and I pray that we will get roused enough to stop you.

      • eddie47d

Bob; We know where the scum is just look at your rantings. Try some lava soap to clean up your mouth.

      • DaveH

Are you redefining Liberals, Doc? Because the Liberals on this board and others that I’ve listened to seem to be just fine with Obama’s war-mongering. The one thing that I thought Obama could do right — get us out of the mideast wars. And he proved me wrong.
It would go a long way in improving your image as a Liberal, Doc, if you could just stick to your principles (if you even have any).

      • DaveH

That reminds me of all the times on this board that I’ve heard the Liberals cry out “Where were you when Bush got us into all these wars?” or “Where were you when Bush was spending out of control?”.
Well, I was criticizing both. But what do the Liberals do?
I mean, here’s your chance, Liberals, right here and now, to stick up for some consistent principles. But you don’t. Why? Because you have none. Your gaze is strictly on relieving other people of their lawfully acquired money. And you will use whatever phony excuses you can muster to achieve that goal, even though the course of action that you pursue has resulted in collapsed economies in every country that has been foolish enough to pursue those goals.

      • Jeep

DaveH threw out the gauntlet with “…here’s your chance, Liberals, right here and now, to stick up for some consistent principles.”

        I hear…hmmm…crickets?

      • eddie47d

I don’t agree with Obama in Libya and this is the 4th time I have said that. I would like to see more infrastructure projects being developed whether private or government. Yet Conservatives always vote those projects down. Dave likes to blow smoke that is why he hears so many crickets.

      • JeffH

47Stupid says: “I would like to see more infrastructure projects being developed whether private or government. Yet Conservatives always vote those projects down.”

Again, I would like to see you back up that claim of yours that “Conservatives always vote those projects(infrastructure)down.”
Show us some proof 47Stupid…your word just doesn’t cut it.

      • patty

Doc-The only reason he is acting like a centrist right now is because he is in full fledge campaign mode. What does that tell you about him? He is even going so far as to jump on the drill baby drill team.
Tell them what they want to hear just long enough to get their uneducated vote.

      • http://! Angel Wannabe

Doc__ I’ve always heard, that it’s the Centrist’s that are the ones we have to watch, being in the middle is when they’ll do the most dirty work, because they believe everyone trusts them, and think no one will pay attention to their deeds!

  • http://mozilla steve k

What I don’t understand is …..if the world court treats the bin laden saga as a criminal act and not an act of war(as this administration likes to do) couldn’t the world court charge obama with murder of an unarmed civilian?

    • Jim

NO !!!! the messiah cannot be charged with breaking any law , he is the ”one” and only true law maker and can do as he damn well pleases

      • Wayne937

Yes! he has taken it upon himself to be the absolute dictator. It seems that Congress has abdicated their powers to the tyrannical dictator… Where are you Congress. Take back the power that the Constitution has given you. It’s time to replace the Senate with people who have Conversative value and common sense.

      • smilee

        Jimmy

Just how is it you always refer to him as the “MESSIAH”?? Do you really think he is??? I find it so funny that the hard core right wingers are the only ones who refer to him in these terms.

      • eddie47d

They get stranger by the day Smilee. First of all they say Obama had nothing to do with the raid. Then they want to charge him with war crimes for being in charge of killing Bin Laden. See how they want it both ways. They confuse themselves and want to be looked at as rational. They wanted Bin Laden’s head for years and now that he is dead act like it was a crime to do so. Why worry about the NFLs strike when we have folks playing political football right here.

      • patty

Actually, I see it as different people with different views on the same subject. Unlike a group that has been programmed to think all the same.

      • DaveH

        Good response, Patty.

      • JeffH

patty, Hear Hear…better known as usefull “MONKEY TOOLS”.

      • eddie47d

The 3 sheeple or is that the 3 monkeys? Talk about being programmed to respond in unison! That dang truth always hurts doesn’t it Jeff? You all come back like carnival barkers. LOL

      • Dan az

        eddiee
which finger am I holding up?Know it dosen’t mean your number one.
Don’t let facts get in your way because I just luv to watch you do the shuffle around them and provide nothing at all to the conversation.Monkey see monkey do. Bahaaaaaa!

      • DaveH

And there you have it folks, the quintessential Union Democrat, Eddie. See what you’re in for when his kind have taken full control?

      • patty

Eddie47-Why are you including me in this? I do not personally attack you. I would like an apology. That was uncalled for. Nothing I said should give you reason to retaliate on me. I don’t think you are going to want to open up this can of verbal Whoop-a$$.

      • eddie47d

Okay I apologize. Jeff and Dave are constant trolls who stick together like fly paper and I shouldn’t have included you in their drivel. Unfortunately that is where this site is going to and should have stuck to calling them out and not you.

      • Patty

Eddie-Thank you. I accept your apology.

  • bob wire

WoW ! John ~ spreading it on kinda thick this morning mi amigo.

With the GOP coming apart like a cheap suit, it makes anyone not a part of it look sort of good, I suppose.

This attempt to run in lock step with such a fragmented group and GOP leadership acting like some big nanny is quite comical to say the least.

When you have GOP hopeful tell us that McCain doesn’t know anything about torture or that Right Wing social engineering is bad, left wing is bad , ~ and Flush Plumbbob telling us that even he can’t explain it!

We all should know Right wing social engineering should be much better! ~ I can’t hold back the laughter.

    • Robin from Arcadia, IN

Bob Wire… Is your comment connected to this article, or are you commenting on something else? I fail to see the connection.

      • Doc Sarvis

I see his (Bob Wire) point being that these (the article) are the weak – baseless attacks of a desperate bunch on the right who make a lot of noise but have nothing better to offer. The right is sinking in these troubled times and the centrist President we have is making progress (too slow for many of us) on very tough issues.

      • Jovianus

        Exactly Doc…

      • Robin from Arcadia, IN

Jovi… Doc… and Bob Wire…. You are all the same person, aren’t you? Clever! You make it sound like there is 3 of you when there is only 1! I suppose you think it makes it look like you have support when you try to spread your liberalism.

      • S.C. Murf

Robin it just means that they make 3 popping sounds when they pull their heads out of their butts

        up the hill
        airborne

      • Jovianus

Robin…Livingston has failed to man up for that. But you’ll note any post which it has been brought up disappears. Enough has been said on that issue…you believe what you want.

      • eddie47d

Knock Knock Robin. Please come back to reality and stop playing your mind games.

      • libertytrain

Jovi – you really do like to lie. Posts disappear? Gee I haven’t noticed you gone yet.

      • Jovianus

Liberty…go find the one you posted after Dennisio and I commented on it yesterday. ’nuff said. Episode over.

      • libertytrain

I know I’ve had posts disappear before on this and other sites – so have others, some things are just flukes in the world of the Internet, back-up systems, etc. You should know that by now. After all your messages are still here –

      • JeffH

I’m sure you want to put “it” behind you Jovi-commie…Ain’t gonna happen here…faker.

      • http://www.boblivingstonletter.com/ Bob Livingston

        Dear Jovianus,

None of your posts have been deleted by me or the moderator. You are not being truthful.

        Best wishes,
        Bob

      • DaveH

Jovianus, not being truthful? Surprise, Surprise!

      • Jovianus

Mr. Livingston. I stand corrected. I thought I saw posts from Liberty, myself and Dennisio all disappear. Sorry for my error. OK…I’ll clarify it then, you did not man up or take amends.

      • http://www.boblivingstonletter.com/ Bob Livingston

        Dear Jovianus,

This little tête-à-tête has grown tiresome. I have nothing for which to “man up.” Your IP, and that of the other posters I mentioned previously (and another or two I didn’t), has not changed. That indicates you are either all one in the same, or something more nefarious is afoot: That you are all posting out of the same location and doing so to intentionally disrupt the site. Only you and your “friends” know the truth. I’ll let the readers decide for themselves. Just understand, the ice on which you stand grows thin.

        All the best,
        Bob

      • bob wire

I assure you all, ~ Mr. Livingston has proven over time to be very tolerate of decent offered on these forums.

I have experienced no such problems with any of my out spoken posting.

and! ~ I am but one person ~ Darwan Winkler aka Bob Wire ~ if I’m not mistaken , my IP can be verified and my IP can be block by the host digression with three key strokes. Make no mistake, this is Mr. Livingston’s train and we all ride at his pleasure.

and Robin , ~ Doc summed up my morning posting in eloquent fashion.

I thought John Meyers title post was witty, colorful and he did an excellent job making something from nothing. This is not an easy thing to do, day in and day out with endless gloomy news that needs to appear rosy.

“Centrist President”, Doc? Well, I guess we know now where your head is. But please keep saying things like that so the Readers can see just how wacked out the Liberals are.

      • eddie47d

I believe they come back to show how whacked out the Libertarians are and for the daily circus. Without all the usual carnival barkers I’m not sure if anyone would show up. Thanks for your share of entertainment Dave H.! Your spin of the wheel gets you a stuffed monkey or a stuffed elephant.Jeff can donate one of his. Just for grins Dave what is the symbol of the Libertarian Party?

I love it when you make comments like that, Eddie. You lose more credibility every time you do. But then, since you already have zero credibility, I guess something from zero is still just zero.

I have to laugh at 47Stupid’s now focused attaks on Libertatrians(actually it’s his frustration with DaveH). Your envy is so obvious.

Yeah, he’s such a thug. I had to laugh when he threatened me with not becoming a Libertarian. As if I would want people like him in our party.

Dan az, that’s a good one, between Kingman Az., and Laughlin Nv., on Hwy 68 going towards the Colorado River theres a big rock outcrop that looks like a big middle finger, “called Finger Rock”. the real name on the topographical map USGS is Thumb Butte, but it doesn’t look like a thumb.

      • eddie47d

Dave,Did Jeff give you that stuffed monkey yet? I hope you are enjoying Dan’s middle finger as your party symbol. Hey Jeff are you in Dave’s front pocket or back pocket? Do you pay each other to troll for each other or just playing pocket pool?

    • Jovianus

Good points Bob..good points. Here’s a paragraph which was so erronoeus as to give a hearty laugh

“First, the economy is in shambles, unemployment is sky high, price inflation is excessive, and the U.S. military has been bombing civilians in an attempt to assassinate (Moammar) Gadhafi, including murdering innocent little children. Our money is being destroyed before our eyes. The wars are not going well for the ruling elite, and Obama’s ratings are horribly low at the beginning of his presidential crusade.”

Economy in shambles. Well, in Janaury 2008 it was in a freefall. Hundreds of thousands laid off every month, stock market crashing, banks going under, our industrial heartland losing companies hand over fist and manufacturing output tumbling, dollar in a frefall valuation. That was an economy in shambles on the precipice of collapse and we faced a Depression in the face. Now? Manufacturing growing, employment growing in all sectors but two…housing and government. GM is back to being privatized saving hjundreds of thousands of jobs, new businesses poping up everywhere, the dollar is gaining value the past couple of months against most major currencies, exports growing, stock market is stable and reaching new highs.

Unelmployment skyhigh. No, it’s at 9.0%. Employment is growing by a couple of hundred thousands a month now…all in the private sector. The unemployment rate is at 9.0% because of returnees to the job market. Indicating that prior to the job creation policies, Bush had managed to send it well into the teens. We are no longer worried about it going up…we are trying to get it down. Big difference.

Price inflation is excessive. Commodities jumped big time especially in food. Natural as comodoties lead economic recovery as speculators invest in a growing demand. Take out oil and food, inflation is negligible. Oil is coming down and so is food. Though recent weather events will likely drive food back up a bit.

US Military bombing civilians to assasinate Khaddafy. Oh c’mon. There’s a frippin’ revolution going on in Libya. You’d rather we support Khaddafy? The quoted author left out it’s a NATO excercise and that the strikes are against military targets. And all signs point to Khaddaffy joining his exiled fellow dictators.

Our money is being destroyed before our eyes. And that’s why the dollar has ceased its 40 month freefall against world currencies and has shown gains the past few months.

Our wars are not going well for the ruling elite. Hey…don’t go putting ‘our’ in front of wars. while the right swallowed the lies leading us into a useless war in Iraq…most people had serious doubts as to the truthfulness of the GOP led administration. We’re getting out of Iraq, we have a timetable to get out of Afghanistan.

Pakistan? Well … that’s another fine mess Bush and the GOP left us. Can’t pull out without stranding our troops in Afghanistan, it has over 100 nukes now (thank you George), and we seriously cannot let muslim radicals take over. if I had my way, we’d step aside and tell India “go to it boys!” … which may well happen in the end.

I’ll toss in two more for everyone not mentioned in that paragraph of outlandish lies. Immigration…we’ve deported more in past two years than any other two year period in our history and we have more border patrols than ever before. Oil production. Domestic oil production is at an all time high having gone up the past two years.

Overall, by almost any measure…where we were in january 2009 and where we are today….we’re on the way back. Not yet out of danger…Bush?Cheney screwed it up so bad it will take years to recover from GOP mismanagement, graft, and corruption.

Oh..and those who say I’m lying? Post your figures folks. Where we were in January 2009 and where we are now.

      • jibbs

9% unemplotment!! that doe’s not include those that are self employed, or those who are still out of work and ran out of unemployment. It also doe’s not include those that are under employed. What don’t you do your own homework, and not rely on the the government bullshit.

      • Jovianus

Jibbs..I agree. 9.0% undersates the mess we were in by January 2009. The key phrase is that we are not worried about unemployment going up, we’re trying to now bring it down. Key difference. With the millions who lost jobs due to Bush/Cheney and that fiasco….we need something like a 300,000 per month job gain to make up for those losses in the next five years.

Now…it can probably be done…but THAT would give us double digit inflation as we’d have to heat up the economic recovery to a point which we literally accept 20% inflation in trade for that type of job growth. There is no quick fiox to the fiasco of the eight years of Bush/Cheney.

      • eddie47d

So many think the economy was collapsing in 2008 when it started slightly in 2005 when we put our house on the market. By 2006 there were worries and it didn’t sell for 13 months. We knew we had to sell quick and took a huge loss. We saw the games Wall Street was playing and how they were manipulating the markets.I lived it as so many other Americans did. This happened at the beginning of G. Bush’s 2nd term so to lay this failed economy on Obama is pathetic at best. This is why Bush was brought up so often for we went to the source of the hemorrhaging and who was in charge. Dodds and Franks deserved their lickings too for failing to see the disaster that was approaching. Granted Obama had more hope than solid experience but he has dealt with every issue he said he would. When the opposition opposes each and every issue for political gain and offers nothing solid for the economy then they are in rabid support for Bush’s failed policies. Creating the gridlock that consumes this nation. Going back to what got us in hot water is hardly an improvement yet the right insists on doing just that.Their no regulations and the free for all that cooked the books is not acceptable.

      • smilee

        Jibbs

That’s how they calculated unemployment during the Bush years and before and the momentum to the bottom was full speed when he left office and impossible to stop it on a dime, now its going the other way and you come up with this totally irrelevant statement

        FACT:
        Bush unemployment was 5.4%
        Deficit was $454 Billion

Obama unemployment now is 9.2% and still rising
        Deficit is now $1.4 Trillion

Obama’s incompetence has increased our federal debt by 60% in just 28 months in office. Food stamps recipients are the highest in history with 44 million Americans now receiving them. Gasoline is now at the highest levels it has ever been.

You libtards can lie and spin the truth all you want with your phony ‘saved or created’ cover ups, but if Obama was a CEO, his arrogant, incompetent performance would have gotten him fired his first year in office.

Are you trying to convince us that when he took office everything was honky dory, Please things are still bad but no longer going down hill. The country was on the verge of destruction when Bush left office and to repair his destructive activities will take years and as things are gradually turning around it is headed in the right direction and if the Bush types and worse would not work so hard to further destroy this country it would be easier to turn things around too. You give no indication of what specifically you think he has destroyed as you you types usually do. We know you hate the man so I thinks that is your motivation as it certainly not based on fact.

      • patty

No Smilee-Everything wasn’t hunky-doory and then this fool doubled down plus on bad policy. Just shows that he is a follower, not a leader. He can say he is “present” however.

      • http://! Angel Wannabe

Smilee, what he destroyed?__we didn’t need Obamacare, people weren’t dying in the streets as was suggested by Obama and His Merry Band of Thieves. If they were dying in the streets, then sadly those folks didn’t know where to find Medicare, Medicaid and Welfare Assitance which was/is/and has been in place!_-We needed reform not a takeover!
That’s just for starters, I’m gettin my Grandson some lunch……I’ll get back to it later!

      • smilee

Patty if it is so bad then how do you explain that he brought the free fall of the economy to a standstill and started it on a upward trajectory. It costs a lot of money to do that which was necessary to do that and may I remind you it was Bush and company that in the end saw the light and started this in a direction that Obama agreed with and continued but if we had not been borrowing and spending like drunken sailors on foolish stuff for the previous eight years much of this would not have been be necessary. Only three presidents have come into office to real crisis siturations, Lincoln, F Roosevelt and Obama and those before him took years to get back to normal after the crisis, you seem to believe what so should be able to produce miracles. Such a simple analysis you people have.

      • smilee

        Angel Wannabe says:
        May 18, 2011 at 11:14 am

First of all your analysis is incorrect and it is not a government takeover as you imaginations has led you to believe and yes they are dying on the streets, do not you remember the news reports and clips of ambulances dropping people off on the streets in LA after the emergency rooms had stabilized them but they still were not in shape to take care of themselves so they dropped off on the streets most did not die on the streets but many died because they could not get health care. Some died most were taken into homeless shelters etc. and cared for. Many news reports have been done on this issue that you either do not know of or ignore. Red tape on Medicaid is so complicated many are not mentally competent to deal with that and the status quo has been to use the EM for many things that should be treated elsewhere but no insurance is available and also not everyone that is poor qualifies for medicaid, when the Republicans changed medicaid to block grants to states then we now have 50 different plans some states do a good job others do not and many fall through the cracks or in the EM. The affordable health care bill will change allmuch of that but not one medical facility will be taken over by the government or be run by them they will operate the same as always. Even the Mayo Clinic said this is a good start and a necessary step in the right direction, contrary to right wing propaganda this will make things better but will not solve the whole problem but again it is going in the right direction and if you really understood how it will work I’m sure you would not say the things you say

      • http://! Angel Wannabe

smilee, thats the exact thing, we talked about on another thread the news media!__I STILL cannot believe you people who hang on every word the news media says!__Can’t you folks see, the elite are driving the message, and are always using talking points from them, and falling for it.__if people literally were dying in the streets, because the lack of healthcare, it was because the of ignorance of where to go for help, or the lack transportation to get there. I’m sorry I’m not buying it!

      • http://! Angel Wannabe

smiley, it is each of our own responsibility to find and pay for our own healthcare!_-Its not the Guvs job!__Medicare, Medicaid and Welfare Assistance are and were all in place, for those that need a hand up. Nobody said, there wouldn’t be some who would fall through the cracks. My Dear, YOU CAN’T SAVE THE WORLD ON SOMEONE ELSES DIME!__My Mother fell through the cracks darlin’, she was crippled since she was 11 and died at 76, in between, we tried to apply for disability for her, and ya know what, it was only to have them say, she didn’t qualify!__ya know what, WE SURVIVED ANYWAY!___AND I’ll say another thing, I’ve never heard of ANYONE being turned down health care, because of being sickly!___example my Father lost his insurance, death benefits, when the company he retired from shut down I applied for insurance for him, and gave them his list of ailments, that included, 30 year diabetic, high blood pressure, leaking valves of the heart, cadio-myopathy, and asthma/emphysema. They took him, period and the end.__ When one door shuts, ya go thought the window, BUT ya don’t sit and wait for someone to do it for ya.

      • smilee

        AW

You clearly do not understand the nature of the problem, life is a fairy tale to you. Health Care Insurance is not available to a large segment of the population because their salaries do not produce enough money to permit them to buy it and it is getting so that insurance covers so little many cannot afford health care with insurance and Medicaid is not good coverage in many states and in many states that is where they are cutting to balance budgets, if the GOP has their way in MN 100,000 poor people will loose health care next year. Your not keeping up with the times. I am old enough to remember when you did not have to buy insurance to get health care.. In 1946 my mother spent a month in St. Mary’s hospital in Rochester MN being treated by the surgeons from the Mayo Clinic and we had no insurance, Dad borrowed money from the local bank for this major surgery and in 1952 he had it paid off and our farm was only 240 acres. Today 240 acres will not make you a living and an operation like that will not be paid off in two life times without insurance and today most likely you would not get the surgery until you could show insurance and many can’t and do die. You still see life as it was then and that’s not our reality today. We need to take a hard look at this as all other countries can provide health care to its citizens at half the cost that we do and almost forty of these countries show better outcomes than we do aside form a few providers like the Mayo Clinic which does show better outcomes but only a small percentage of the population can access them, Another thing is the high rate of Bankruptcies with over 60% of them where unpaid health care costs are the reason and this of course drives up your health care costs, other countries do not have this problem and they put health care ahead of profits like we once did in this county. We have a real problem lady, and it needs to be addressed and if you would become part of the solution instead of the problem it would make that easier. This health care billmore is a good start and not the whole solution but may in time force a workable solution. As the Mayo Clinic who supported it said its a good start, I agree.

      • http://! Angel Wannabe

and smilee, your the one living in a Fairy tale, while it would be wonderful to cure the Nation of all health ills, not everyone will be saved. You going to have to face that sad fact. Your Saviour Obama isn’t going to save us either, and your Liberal News Media will never tell ya EVEN if they could save the world. Everything is a crisis to the Progressives and they’re media, to keep us scared and easily manipulated. A scared population is easily controlled, remember that! Instead of believing everything they parrot, draw your own conclusions. Commoners are not privied to viable GUV info, you’ve got to have and in. They’ll tell ya anything in the News, but take it for what it’s worth.

      • patty

Smilee-The free fall is not at a stand still. Unemployment is going up, inflation is going up, the dollar is going down. If Obama had not bailed out the states to prop up state employees and their unions, where oh where would his campaign financing come from? Clinton made banks give bad mortgage loans by guaranteeing them to the banks. When the people who got the loans couldn’t pay for them, here come the bank bail outs. Where are those people now? Homeless? Renters? On Welfare? They are no longer homeowners. Where are the banks? 100% plus thanks to tax payers who had no say. Try seeing the bigger picture of how this all went down. It was not the past 8-10 years. It has been brewing for a long time. I am not a big supporter of Bush, but when your pick is bad or worse, I guess I go with bad.

      • patty

Smilee-You are dead wrong. The Mayo Clinic thinks that Obamacare STINKS. http://hotair.com/archives/2009/07/20/obama-the-mayo-clinic-is-a-beacon-on-health-care-mayo-clinic-obamacare-stinks/
And you said it in your spout from your mom needing a surgery with no insurance (by the way, I hope it all went very well for her)to insurance companies not covering anything. It is the insurance companies. It is the malpractice insurance coverage. It is the attorneys who sue doctors, hospitals, etc. Most unjustified, some (few) are. It is a lot of things that are driving up healthcare costs. But mainly, it is because you do not see a bill it goes through your insurance. I to live in MN and if you want coverage, get MnCare. It is on a sliding scale. Or stay active, healthy and eat right, but don’t make me pay if you come from a bad gene pool or make bad decisions for your health.

      • patty

I pulled up the Mayo Clinic Health Policy Blog–they approve of Obamacare. Like everything else on the Internet, it depends upon which site you choose to read.

      • JeffH

Claire, I have to take issue with you that the Mayo Clinic approves of the ACA. I just reviewed the content and what I gathered is that they are prepareing to deal with it.

“The Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act (ACA) changed the nation’s health care landscape. As Mayo Clinic continues to prepare for the new environment, we remain steadfast in our mission of delivering high-value, patient-centered care.”

“The ACA includes provisions that promote paying for value in health care, which we define as outcomes, safety and service divided by cost over time. These provisions are good, first steps to begin efforts to advance high-value health care. “However, we believe much more needs to be done.” In this effort, we are committed to working with you and other stakeholders to ensure that the ACA is implemented consistent with our four principles of high-value care, coordinated care, payment reform and insurance for all.”

No where did I read that they approved or disapproved of the ACA, unless I missed it. Thier focus seems to be making sure they can provide the best “bang for the buck”, advancing high value health care.

Obama does know what he is doing, for sure.

Rather than call him “Obozo,” as some have here, I think we need to respect him as an enemy in the same way that we respected Hitler. At this point, I’m kind of hoping that Borracho Bama goes completely nuts like Captain Queeg and has to be removed from office. unfortunately I see no sign that Bama is crazy or stupid. • JeffH

Claire, what the Mayo Clinic said(September 9, 2009)was that they strongly supports President Obama’s call for health insurance reform and health care delivery reform, and agrees with the President’s position that the status quo is not acceptable. We believe that a bipartisan, collaborative approach is essential to achieving significant, patient-centered health care reform.

Obamacare didn’t pass utill late December 2009. We all support health care reform, unfortunately the ACA does little to reform the health care industry. I can’t find anything that supports the claim that the Mayo Clinic endorses and supports the Affordable Care Act(ACA).

Thank you Jeff. They are being politically correct so as not to rain the Obama Gestapo down on them. I work with doctors, the ones that I talked to are quitting the business, leaving the country, or a wait and see if he gets thrown out of office. I am sorry Smilee, but you are not entitled to healthcare. You are entitled to life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness. Not to the pursuit to destroy others because you feel entitled. Dr.’s wanted to see reform of the insurance industry and tort reform, not a take-over of their business by gov’t. agencies. Like my personal Dr. said when I asked her how she felt about Obamacare, “You think I am going to spend any quality time with you now that I will have to see 3 times the patients a day? If you can get in to see me at all? Does that give you a clue as to what is in store? Talk to the snow bird Canadians traveling from there to stay in AZ & FL. They take out a 3-6 month American policy and get all of their medical check ups and care here.

      • Patty

Smilee-PLUS, they didn’t even know what was in that healthcare bill when they passed it. “We will have to pass it to find out what is in it”-Pelosi. Well we now know some of it, not all of it yet, and it stinks. Also, all of that bail out money went to ensure that the states did not start laying off teachers and other state union employees so that their union dues will go towards his billion dollar campaign fund. Talk about a dictatorship ensuring he has the funds to finish destroying this country.

Hmm? IT? ~ I’ve been seeing and smelling rats everywhere since 82.

So which rat do you refer? Pick one! Pick a dozen!

I see the top 2% taking over American life and liberty in Bristol fashion with your help if American’s continue to look on the wealthy as some benevolent savior. We will all be working at their pleasure more and more.

It’s like failing to support your local merchants until there is no local merchants to support or Walmart taking over a Meat Processing plant with only 52% of controlling interest and control supply while starving out who they so wish.

basically buying a processing plant for only half cost and beating competition up with it. Why? because they can?

This leave me to believe “anything” they “can do” they will and not care spit about anything but profits. if you somehow believe they entertain some notions of sharing when they are not required to, you are fooling yourself. Labor is the first thing that they will attack.

Okay, Jovianus, so tell me how many Jobs has Obama created since he took office?

      • DaveH

While I’m waiting for Jovianus’s answer I can use this claim from Obama:
        http://www.cbsnews.com/8301-503544_162-20021907-503544.html

1.1 million jobs over 10 months. How much did those jobs cost us? Well, the National Debt has increase about $100,000,000,000 (that’s $100 Billion) per month in the last 10 months. That’s $1 Trillion over the last 10 months. So we have paid (on our credit card) roughly $100,000 for each one of those added jobs. Such a bargain!

      • JeffH

There you go, using those pesky facts again.

      • Bitter Libertarian

Crikey dont hold your breath…he’ll not reply!

      • eddie47d

Maybe if the right wing didn’t encourage tax evasion it wouldn’t cost so much for each job and the debt could come down. Don’t let those pesky little facts get in your way Dave H.

      • Dan az

        Dave
The fact that the jobs were guvmnt jobs says allot. He has doubled the growth of the guvmnt and is still trying to increase it as we speak! If he wanted to solve the unemployment issue he should have given the money to the families instead.Instead of his sorass cronies.

      • DaveH

You lie, Eddie! Show me the proof that right-wingers encourage people to cheat on their taxes.
As I said, Eddie, you have zero credibility.

      • patty

Eddie47 – My CPA files my taxes on time, every year as do all of my clients. None of them evade paying taxes. Unlike the people in the Obama administration and democrat party. http://taxprof.typepad.com/taxprof_blog/2011/04/democratic-tax-cheats.html 78% vs 28% That is a pretty big decrepency I would say. Your party is so much for taxing everyone but themselves.
How hypocritical is it of them to con you into saying that people should pay more in taxes and those same people are evading taxes. Same old same old. We make the rules I want what you got, but you can’t have what I got because rules don’t apply to me! Do you pay taxes? Do you want to give up your tax deductions? Personal exemptions, child exemptions, mortgage interest exemptions. Business get exemptions, deductions also. All legal under the federal tax code.

    • WeMadeAmistake

You know liberals are insane when they support an arrogant, narcissistic liar who now has Americans going into debt at the rate of $189,000,000 per hour. Yes, you read that correctly. $189 million per hour in borrowing money we can’t pay back. 60% increase in federal debt in just 28 months under the mismanagement of Obama who has never told the truth or kept his promise about the majority of things that come out of his forked mouth. Obama has been in office 28 months and during that time, he has managed to increase our unemployment rising along with our debt, and you foolish liberals could not see a train wreck if it is was right in front of you.

      • eddie47d

Obama is far from being a saint but every President has been accused of being incompetent. Very few could see what the Bush years did to America so Conservatives can be blinded also. If the economy doesn’t improve Obama will be a goner in 2012. If the Republicans keep sabotaging every plan Obama comes up with then they will be the ones to suffer in 2012. If someone better than Obama get’s elected then there won’t be tear shed in my beer. The problem is that the Republicans/Libertarians are stubborn and every candidate that comes along they say is a saint and is the one to beat Obama. Then before long that candidates faults are exposed and you jump overboard like rats on a sinking ship. Your hatred for Obama seems to be one of the few things that unify you. Some of us don’t see that as a commendable trait but only as mind boggling bitterness.

Eddie-This financial disaster goes back further than Bush II. You can rest the entire housing collapse on Clinton who said everyone should own a house, so make it happen. And Fannie and Freddie did, for a while anyways. Until, like our debt, it all came due. He guaranteed those bad mortgages they were making and in came the banking bail outs. So, now you have those same people with no house and the banks were made whole on the backs of taxpayers. Bush did try to rein in Fannie & Freddie and it was the democrats who said Fannie and Freddie had more money than god. Thank you Barney Frank.

      • smilee

Pure far right propaganda and not a word of truth in what you say, No banks were forced to borrow money to anyone, they could no longer discriminate on race etc but that did not make them make loans to ANYONE not qualified for a loan. The banks changed all the rules because many regulations were lifted allowing them to do that and many banks doctored incomes, home values etc just to make the money off the tansactions knowing full well that many of these were destined for foreclosure, often times they even hid this from the home buyer and they believed these lies. No one can get a loan if the bank will not appove it and the govenment never forced any lending instituion to give loans to unqualified borrowers that is pure proganda from both banks and far right wing government haters will belive any thing that fulfills their biases.

      • DaveH

Good effort, Patty, but it’s wasted on the Liberals. They can’t see through the dense fog given off by their lust for other peoples’ money.

      • DaveH

And for those who don’t want to rely on the word of the Liberal Sleepee, see here:
        http://blog.mises.org/10239/the-housing-boom-and-bust/

      • patty

Smilee-Oh really? And who lifted those regulations so the banks could make those loans? Clinton. http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/f-news/2093289/posts and: http://www.wnd.com/index.php?fa=PAGE.view&pageId=94031
They were strong armed in to doing it and in return, Clinton guaranteed those loans with our tax dollars. That is why you had they bank bail out was to cover those sub prime loans.

      • eddie47d

Dave should just rack it up to crony capitalism like he always does. No problem is solved but it sounds good to him. Until you can cut off the heads of these corporate thieves it will happen again and again. Got the courage?

      • DaveH

Can you establish that corporations are all thieves, Eddie? Or do we just have to take your zero credibility word for it?

      • JeffH

It’s pretty obvious that 47Stupid does take some notes. He must because he like to repeat words that he reads even though he hasn’t any clue to their meaning.

      • DaveH

That’s why I call him Parrot occasionally. He thinks he’s clever to imitate the accusations of others. Only when they accuse him of those things they are telling the truth. He isn’t.
I had a chronic liar of an ex-wife who would do the same thing.
Speaking of that, I wonder if that’s one of the Alinsky techniques?

      • patty

Eddie-Actually, if you want to know where it started for this latest disaster, look at the timeline. Clinton promises everyone should have a piece of the American Dream (owning a home). It does not matter to Clinton how it gets done, but he made a promise. So he goes to the mortgage providers and says, “I made this promise, what can we do to make this happen?” They say, on a % level, most of these loans will be bad. We have guidelines on which to loan money so we don’t go bankrupt. There are gov’t. regulations so that we can not loan to people because that would be taking advantage of them. And Clinton said, but I mmade a promise. And they said, we are not going to put our financial necks on the line for what will surely fail. And Clinton said, I will change the regulations so you are able to loan money to these people. And the banks said, I don’t think so because these people will surely not be able to repay most of these loans. And Clinton said, how about if I guarantee these risky loans that you will making? And now we know the outcome. All because a gov’t. official made a promise to people who felt entitled to own a home who could never get a loan through conventional means because of solid financial reasons. Pray, do tell me. Are these people still in those homes? No. Are they homeless? Now renting? On welfare because now they have lost everything. All because a politician made a promise. So don’t lay blame on the banks. Lay blame on the one that made it all happen because of a promise no matter how detrimental it was.

      • JC

        Further to that thought patty,
Obama himself was working tirelessly to help all that legislation pass. He was as involved as far as he could be with the influence he had at the time.

And now he’s in a position to put all that early groundwork to further use. He can advance his agenda of destroying America.
He’s either been “handled” very well, he’s actually quite brilliant,
        or he’s one lucky opportunist.

    So….let me get this straight,Packyerpeanutbutterstan is our ally in the war against terror?Seems kind of funny how that phrase is tossed around.How could an ally put up the public enemy #1,in a fortified compound and not even know it?They couldnt.They hide the Taliban in their mountains,a place where even goats fear to tread,and they are our allies?Seems like someone in the state department has been drinking heroin laced kool-aid.These guys are allies like Mussolini was our ally during WW2.Oh yeah….I can see how the conversation went…(sound of hookah being toked on,Hillary’s voice muffled as she holds in the smoke)”you guys been housing UBL for how long?”(blows out smoke){Pakistani ambassador},”bout five years now.”(back to Hillary)”no f–kin’ way…..hahahahaha.”{ambassador}”yep…is that s–t funny or what?”(both of them laugh as they rise out of bed to start putting on their clothes,Hillary says,)”y’know I gotta kill that bastard now right?”{ambassador asks as he pull the sheepskin off of his yoohoo}”you want to keep this?”(Hillary)”Naw…just throw it away like a republican throws away free healthcare!”(both of them laugh again.){Pakistani ambassador says to Hillary},”Good thing we are such great allies huh??”{thinking to himself,”she aint Benazir Bhutto,but once you get past the cankles…..”}

Yes, our government was birthed “of the people”, was was set up to be controlled by us…

But, it’s just like giving birth to a child, and then indulging that child’s every whim without discipline. He grows up to be a monster, with a huge sense of entitlement and need to control, and a shame to his family.

This is also the Court that ruled foreign monies can flow directly to campaigns as well as unlimited corporate monies and allowed for rules which wealthy individuals can donate millions … while the individual small guy remains limited.

Like has been said over and over, we will suffer for the eight years of the prior GOP administration for generations. And y’all voted for the guy…so look in the mirror when you wonder where your freedoms have gone…you voted for the peole who took them

      • eddie47d

Now when the Supreme Court makes a judgement in favor of a Liberal issue you all say it’s packed with Liberal judges. So what is the difference?

      • Bob

The term “packed” implies that the president stacked the deck with judges of either the right or left persuasion – like the dictator FDR tried to do back in the 40s. The court is not packed in that sense because it is somewhat to the left but not enough to win for evil every time. Since this is true, your statement is a lie; therefore you are a liar (no surprise there).

      • Kate8

Come on, you guys. The SCOTUS now rules the way they are told to rule by the NWO. The Constitution is no longer considered. Things are being set up for the ever-increasing police state.

Vigilant – It doesn’t really matter which court rules on what anymore. They are all controlled by the NWO elites, and will continue to work for the agenda, Constitution notwithstanding.

Today the Indiana court, tomorrow another court…all the way up to the top. Same result, more than likely. You might find a hold-out judge here and there, but then, Judge Roll stands as an example of what happens when you don’t cooperate.

#2-3 of the 5 Justices were appointed by Republican Govenors.

      • Raggs

What I have seen on Fox the supreme court upheld the judges decision.

So lets give a senario… If you are pulled over on the way to work for speeding the cop gets pissy with you, you get pissy to the cop he has your address…. So a few hours go by and then you have an unsuspected visitor at you house who just so happens to have a bag of weed that he drops…. A few hours later you return home (unnoticing the bag of weed ) you get a visitor again oh my…. No warrant and your busted!

      • patty

So, did he drop this in my house or outside of my house? And, how did he by-pass the alarm system if inside the house? Because if he dropped it at my front door, I don’t have a key to and it could go unnoticed for a while. Plus, they would have to get my prints on the bag. Was it skunk weed or MN green?
I don’t smoke the stuff but I heard that skunk weed was better! I understand what you are saying. Having been married to a cop for a long time, the old generation of them would not do it. The politically motivated new generation ones, I’m not so sure of. Of the retired cops that I know, what they fear the most is our gov’t. Just ask one. They tried to indoctrinate them. Too old school to do that.

      • Wayne937

Raggs, I certainly hope that something like this would never happen. I am a retired police officer. I always held myself to a higher standard than to do something like that. Maybe it was the way I was raised by my parents. I was taught to obey the golden rule “due unto others as you would have them do unto you”. I always held myself higher than the criminal element I was dealingt with. If this would ever happen, and the officer doingt it is caught, that the judge on the case would double the penalty for anyone in uniform that would do such a terrible misdeed. Most of us have a concious that would never allow this to happen. I realize, however, there are always exceptions to everything. Let’s hope it never happens.

      • patty

So Wayne, I don’t know what city/town you live in, but, is your 1st circle of highways the 1st line of defense to keep people from exiting the city? Were you a 1st responder?

        Wayne:

This “rulling” could very well lead to a lot of dead cops. If they tried coming into my house w/o a warrant it would get bloody very quickly as they would be nothing more than burglars and treated as such.

Whatever idiotic statements you make does not change the fact this is one of the biggest military successes we have had since 9/11 and brilliantly planned and executed high stake undertaking. You really hate it when a liberal, if Obama is a real liberal, has success don’t you. It is obvious your hatred for this man runs very deep.

      • Dagney

Sorry, but this was not Obama’s success. It was the success of Seal Team 6 and all of our OUTSTANDING MILITARY despite the budget cuts and the vitriol spewed at them by the LEFT. That Obama is trying to take credit, rather than trying to point to who really deserves the credit, is just another clear indication of the moral bankruptcy of this president. He will not recieve credit when all is said and done. OUR MILITARY WILL!

If they could have resolved the Bin Laden issue over 40 years ago WHY DID’NT THEY? It wasn’t important to them that’s why. Bush took the focus off 911 by going after Saddam.

Pastor, you forgot that Bill Clinton could have taken out Osama when he was in Somalia. Bill couldn’t pull the trigger on that deal. At least Obozo okayed this one, I will grant him that. Of course everything else since has been him playing it for votes, just like with the homosexual agenda he is pushing (surely you don’t back that)and the amnesty for illegals. All for votes and to tear down the morales in this country.

Sorry, Obama is the man in charge and has never said or implied that it was not the seals that did the actual work on the ground. This would not or could not have happened without Obama he was the decision maker on this after input from the experts, It was he that made the call, you can agree or disagree with the call but you have to be a liar to say it was not him that made it. Seals follow orders do not run off on their own. Do you believe 9/11 would have happened without Bin Ladin’s leadership and money?? You hate Obama so bad you are just not capable of giving credit where credit is due. Obama even gave credit to what everyone did and only took credit for what he did, you of course have distorted what he did and said.

I’ve heard Obama called a lot of things, but that’s a new one on me. Only the truly liberal dimwits and mass media who’ve been bought and paid for by George Soros are buying the lies Obama and his administration continue to spew at this point. If it were that easy for the SEALs to go into Pakistan and kill the most wanted terrorist in all the world why wasn’t it done before? I can tell you why. Obama was not being as widely criticized for being weak in his handling of foreign affairs. Just like all the kissups in his administration have declared our border more safe than it has ever been, but that isn’t the case and they know it. We have a wide open border which can be easily crossed by illegals from anywhere in the world. And yes it has been proven repeatedly that the illegals found in our border states are not just from Mexico and countries south of our border. If you ask people in that area they will tell you flatly they are terrified and do not feel safe even if they live many miles from the border. What has the administration done? Stopped all work on a border fence, sent a few more border patrol agents, demanded that border states not harass or even ask for verification that people violating the laws are American citizens, decided to sue Arizona because the state decided to act to protect her citizens which the feds refuse to do (and that is one of their primary responsibilities), and to be sure to keep illegals who somehow managed to help elect Obama in 2008 and keep the legal Hispanic vote in his pocket he visited our southern border and presented another of his staged performances before an audience selected to make a favorable impression on the public. Obama is a good performer and staged speech deliveror, but he has no leadership skills and is not the least bit interested in keeping America the country she is. His idea of America is a liberal Muslim dominated hell hole just like all the Middle East. Does he give a damn what most Americans think? NO! As long as he can go down in history as the president who destroyed this country and in so doing destroyed the western way of life he really doesn’t care. Afterall he’s Soros’s puppet and he dances to any tune Soros picks. The end goal-to push America over the cliff and force us into the one world government that Soros, Clinton, Obama, Ayers, and plenty of the other corrupt lying pinheads in his administration desire. Will he suceed? Only if the masses who blindly marched to the drums beat by the liberal media continue to blindly follow him as they have in the past. Doc Sarvis, has it never become clear to you that any time there is an issue which makes “the annointed one” seem less popular or appear to be losing out on one of his legislative goals that his administration somehow manages to stage a speech presented before a receptive audience? Do you not remember the “doctors” to whom he gave the speech about Obamacare when that crappy law was falling out of favor with the public? I’d be willing to bet not a one of those in that group actually was a doctor. Afterall where has most of the criticism I have read about Obamacare come from? Doctors! I could name plenty of other instances that have been staged to keep our liar-in-chief in the public’s favor, but why waste my time. Liberal dimwits like yourself will never see the light until it’s too late to make a change. And as long as the paycheck is good enough to buy their biased reporting the media will never in any way tell you the truth about how corrupt and dishonest Obama and his whole cast of characters truly are.

      • Dagney

Hi, Penny! Great points. Could you please use some paragraphs when going from one point to another? It would make all your great points much easier to read. Thanks!

No one knows as yet what effect all that intelligence that the raid on the osama compound yielded. it is far to early to know what on the path to peace this raid will yield as this was much much bigger that just the killing of this one man. That was the genius of sending the seals in as opposed to a bomb dropped from a drone and is also a clear message to all that follow him they can never be safe where ever they are, like I said it is too early to draw any conclusions but I’m betting his terror organization sees this as far bigger that the death of just one man

    • Robin from Arcadia, IN

      • JC

We can certainly draw one conclusion my communist little friend…that this “Raid on Obama’s Compound” is just another in a long series dramatic plays put on for the benefit of keeping us all in fear and boosting the Kenyan Imposter’s popularity with the simple minded…

        That much is for sure.

      • EddieW

JC, you nailed that!!! Obozo, our Liar in Chief taking credit, when he did NOT order the attack!! He waffled for two weeks, refusing to order it, so they notified him they were going in…had it failed, he would berate them, making points with his Muslim friends…it succeded, so he takes credit for “ordering” it!! Liar either way!!!

      • Bob from Calif.

This is all just political theater. Anyone that believes that this terrorist leader would store over one million pages of intelligence in this compound surrounded by pakastani military, needs to open their eyes or have their head examined. Why were there no kidney dialysis machines anywhere in this complex when it is a well know fact that Bin Laden was seriously ill with kidney disease back in 2001. These are just a couple of the many anomalies that should make you say HMMMMM!

The multi billion dollar industries that manipulate the masses and deprive everyone but the upper 1% of the population of life, liberty, pursuit of happiness, health care, education – these are big oil, which proved their point in front of congress yesterday, and Wall Street, which wrecked the nation and plunged us into recession. Thank goodness we bailed out GM, now remarkably successful, and kept millions of jobs in the process.

Who in the world is paying you people to say this nonsense – you are going to lose so very, very much as every civil liberty including voting, talking, getting educated is wiped out. From the comments you place on this blog site, I doubt very much that many if any of you are in the upper 1% or some of you are sandbagging the rest of us. • wandamurline

I read a report that Obama did not order the mission…that Valerie Jarrett had been advising him and he had been taking her advice, not to do the mission because a failure would hurt his political career. Can you believe that they would consider not to invade this compound and removed such a terrorist for political agendas? One military person suggested using drones, but Jarrett didn’t want Obama to do that. The reason the mission was done was because of Leon Panetta, Hiliary Clinton, Patreus, and other top ranking military. They took it upon themselves to order the mission. Once the mission was being played out, they went and got Obama off the golf course so he could be in the photo opt of them watching the mission, which was absolutely a fraud because the coverage of the mission was not available. Oh what webs we weave when we deceive. Pakistan did not know of the attack…had they known, they would have told bin Laden. That is why they were upset after the kill….if it was a kill. No doubt that information was obtain from this raid, but I am skeptical as to who exactly was killed in that raid. BBC was interviewing people who lived near by and one guy said that the man they killed was his neighbor and called him by name. I really am at a loss about the entire event…I do not know what to believe of my government anymore, and I trust none of them involved in this mission except for Patraeus.

      • Doris Orvis

I absolutely agree with you! But people who are still in dreamy land with this government won’t buy it. I also heard that Obama did not want to order the raid, he had to sleep on it, and even then he wasn’t sure. I give him zero credit, think they would have gone through with it regardless. It bothers me that Osama was dumped in the ocean so soon after, but we did have to appease the Muslims, go figure. A guy who is the leader of killing thousands, gets a respectful thought about his burial!? I am sure Osama didn’t give a hoot about any of the ones he killed and the families they left behind, crazy! I was wondering also, why they were watching the raid as it was going on, what, it was live!? Something needs to be done about this government and fast!

      • Pastor

It’s amazing to see so that many people have all the solutions and know what Obama should and shouldn’t be doing. Such hypocrites! What is this the FOX channel?

The statement that Obama going to ground zero and visiting US solders makes him an opportunist is absolutely ludicrous. Now what would be the response if he hadn’t? Did we forget it was the Bush administration that jump started this plunge in our American economy and not Obama? We have had eight years of poor government with the republican party. Believe it or not I am and have always been a republican but, for some reason we want to continue play tug a war with Obama. Hum. I wonder why?

Well Pastor : Sounds like you are out of touch with reality. Obama does-not do anything unless it is going to benefit Obama. The trip to ground zero by Obama was a Photo op for him and a disgrace to all who lost their lives there.I am surprised he wasn’t taken out by the seal team on his disgraceful visit there.A good oppurtunity to rid the world of another Terrorist was missed that day. Look at all the evidence Barack Hussien Obama was born in Kenya to a father who was kenyan, then was later adopted by Lolo Soetoro who was Indonesian and devout muslim,Barack Obama AKA Barry Soetoro attended a muslim school in Indonesia as a citizen of Indonesia. He later attended college in the US under a Foreign Student Visa and received Foreign Student aid. When are you going to realize that This POTUS is muslim and is destroying the UNITED STATES for his Muslim Bretheren???

      • Push comes to shove

        Pastor says:
“Believe it or not I am and have always been a republican but, for some reason we want to continue play tug a war with Obama.”

You do not sound like a republican, but instead a liberal hack with your FOX news and Bush is bad comments(typical besmirch of the far left). Remember the left gained large majorities in the house and senate the last 2 years of the Bush term up until the last mid term election. Bush did some not so conservative things (ingoring free market priciples to save the free market, yeah right), but the dems took it from there and spent and then spent some more and then spent some more. Obama and Pelosi have increased deficit spending way beyond anything imaginable by the typical AMERICAN (Obamacare).

If you are a repub, which i doubt, you are a rhino and definitely no conservative.

      • D.F.

Pastor: First … LOLOLOLOLOL. You are really just another Sheep in human clothing. I can use ONE word to describe Obama’s worth to this country: NOTHING.

As for this: The government of Pakistan even wants an apology from Washington for conducting a military operation on its soil to get bin Laden.

Let Obama handle that one. He is pretty good at apologising for America.

      • DaveH

What is amazing to me, Pastor, is that the “party of peace” would throw away their principles to rally so rapidly behind yet another war-mongerer. Of course there are those of us who know they have no principles. The Leaders are just feathering their own nests and the nests of their Crony Capitalists (GE, etc.), and buying the votes of the party sheeples who will rally behind anything as long as the trough is still in sight.

      • JC

        Pastor says:

Believe it or not I am and have always been a republican but, for some reason we want to continue play tug a war with Obama. Hum. I wonder why?
        ___________________________________________________________________

Could it be because Bush is GONE and the Kenyan usurper is here NOW?
Could it be that thosde of us who are plugged into a phenomenon called REALITY know that we can’t go back and change what Bush did?
Could it be that if we don’t act NOW we will lose our nation?

Get in the game or get off the bus please.

      • JeffH

Could it be that Pastor is now Jovi-commie’s alter ego, another fake amongst a myriad of fakers?

      • Kate8

Anyone can use the moniker “Pastor” to try to gain credibility on a conservative blogsite. I suspect it is our old pal Jovi or one of his other aliases…

Even if you are a pastor, which I highly doubt, you would be among the likes of Jeremiah Wright. Even satan has his representatives.

        Nice try.

      • JuanC

With all due respect, I give you that much that it may have been Bush’s administration that started the plunge in our American economy. BUT, what has Obama done to try to correct it. He has spent trillions more, plungin our economy even deeper. WAKE UP AMERICA. We need to get rid of Obama come next elections. He is not doing enough to correct what is wrong. I am a Republican, but I also warn them that IF they win the next presidential election, they better be doing what needs to be done, not sleeping on their laurels, or we’ll have to vote against them on the next elections after 2012. I do not believe in voting party line. Why should I do that if any of the candidates running for office is not up to par??

      • eddie47d

Bad Juan and Pastor to say you are a Republican and diss Bush. That will be 20 lashes for each of you if and when you step out of line again. The folks on this site can talk about the 1st Amendment and how we are loosing it but turn around and try to censor those who do. Toe the Conservative line or you will pay dearly. What a ruse.

      • Dan

Pastor, You, like a lot of other people that don’t read between the lines, blame Bush for the present economic situation. Just look for a moment at the situation when the problem was created. The econoy was donig fine with a DJA of over 14,000. Then when the Democrats took control of the House all hell broke loose thanks to such people as Barney Frank and Chris Dodd, who released all of the home loans through such institutions as Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac, allowing people who were no where near qualified to obtain mortgages on expensive homes. THAT caused the panic that set the economy on its heels.

      • DaveH

Listen to Eddie, the Union Thug who tries to mentally bully anybody who he doesn’t agree with. Go to da box, get da club, Eddie.

      • JeffH

DaveH, ya just can’t fix stupid. He’s all over the board today tellig everyone else what to do…every childish comment is something you’d expect a 15 year old bully to say.

      • http://personalliberty.com frank

pastor crawl back into that crack in your phony pulpit with the other left wing termites.

      • eddie47d

Jeff; My comments make more sense than your disparaging remarks and I see you are tail gunning Dave as per usual.

      • http://hubscher1@earthlink.net bob hubscher

Because somebody has to stand up to this so called president and fight for the survival of our country on every level before it is to late. The time for being nice and gentlemanly has passed. Other societies would have had a revolution by now and ousted this nut case. Maybe we rate too civilized. We are waiting for someone else to do something when is obviously that is not going to happen. How long do we wait?
Do we have to learn the hard way. If our fore fathers had been like us we would speaking the kings’ english
today and living under the British flag or we could be speaking the German language and saluting a dictator. Thank God they had the courage and fortitude to stand up and take a position. It is somthing we as a people do not seem to be to do.Again, How long to we wait before taking action!

      • patty

Doris-I am sure Obama voted “present” when it came down to making the decision and like everything else in his life, the others around him made the decision. Same as when he was a senator. If it had come out badly, I am sure the playbook would have changed accordingly. Wag the dog.

      • Bob from Calif.

The picture of Obama and Hillary watching the raid was a hoax. It was staged for political benefit. Panetta admitted that the they did not have a live feed at the time this photo was taken.

      • Kate8

Bob from Calif. – The sooner we realize that NOTHING THEY DO IS REAL, the sooner we can break free of them.

Even the money is created out of thin air. How can something devalue and collapse if it never was?

Is anyone seeing how we are held in a virtual reality nightmare? Can we wake up from it?

      • Kate8

BTW, Bob. Have they come to install your smartmeter yet?

      • Christin

        Kate8,
We moved to our farm in March and we discovered that a ‘smart meter’ was put on our country house with out our knowledge instead of a regular meter. We were told that the country is where they first started using the smart meter as it wasdifficult to drive for miles to each country farm and read the meter.

From your question it would seem you are still holding out…

      • Marty S.

Actually Obama looks like his picture was added in as an afterthought. Maybe it was taken during the live feed but he was out golfing during the shoot. Golf is important after all.

      • JC

Marty, I thought about the same thing when I saw that picture.
The Kenyan looks like a little kid sitting on a box in the corner trying not to be noticed.
        Very inspiring…

      • http://DickMorris Tom

Obama first to take the credit, last to do anything. Wake up people and this is not a race issue. The guys a looser, educated to speak to the slow in thinking with no clue on the USA issues or the worlds. Learn to read and check up what’s going on. The fall of any civialization is the lack of knowledge which this President releys on everytime he opens his mouth.

      • smilee

You and Doris sure are a sucker for far right propaganda rhetoric bullsheit? All legitimate news reports say just the opposite but closed minds like yours never listen to more that one point of view and that leaves you in the dark and out of touch with reality as your posts make clear

      • TIME

        Well Big S,

Please do tell us what “Legitimate NEWS” Reports are you talking about?

Oh how we all wait with baited breath for your Pearls of Wisdom to spill forth like a spring rain on dry flowers.

      • patty

        Ditto that.

      • http://! Angel Wannabe

Hey TIME, she must be referring to all the years and publicity on Bin ladens death through the years. 2001,2004, 2007 and just recently__we have our pick of a cat with 9 lives!

      • smilee

Definitely Not Newsmax and this site, I watch about six different outlets a day and read about the same number newspapers to get as many perspectives as I can, and those like Newsmax who are always predictable in what they say can be discounted, news outlets that cannot be predicted are the far better source. The less agenda the better and Newsmax and those like it have an agenda that is totally obvious. This site for me is just to keep me reminded of what fools really sound like and not really a source of real information

      • http://! Angel Wannabe

smille, then ya better be checking out some foreign news as well, they have a different perspective on America, than we do.

      • TIME

        Well Big S,
Still waiting on the new’s that you use. As in name them each and every one.

Can I make that more simple for you?

      • smilee

        Time

I have watched and read almost all, it varies from day to day so take your pick!!

      • smilee

There you go again davy, going off on a tangent, addressing things I had not commented on, but I guess your imagination has led you astray again.

      • JeffH

smilee, your liberalism is par for the course…can’t answer a simple question. What news sources do you draw your information from? Let me help you out here. MSNBC, NBC, ABC, CBS, NPR, Washington Post, Huffington Post, Daily Kos, Democratic Underground, Media Matters for America, Salon, Mother Jones, Smirking Chimp, The Progressive, The New Republic or The talking Points Memo…I do know there are a lot more choices so let me know if one of your favorites wasn’t on the list.

      • DaveH

Pray tell, Sleepee, what 6 different news outlets do you watch?
And what 6 different newspapers do you read?

      • TIME

So Big S, You get your news from the standard formats, yet you claim its “Reliable” let alone not Propaganga formatted? So where is it you think all that news comes from?
I can tell you that no matter who you claim you get such from it’s all controlled by whats called the AP.

So now tell us all who owns the AP? And who owns that Company?

And then how it is that you get as you stated “RELIABLE” news from these persons who are the head family of the NWO who have well over 60% of all the worlds wealth let alone all the news you get.

I think I can safly say, again we all wait for your pearls of wisdom.

      • DaveH

        Wah, Wah, Wah.
Yes, and those same “Legitimate” news sources have been telling people how Obama has “saved millions of jobs” at the same time that unemployment has risen from 8% to 10% and then remained stuck in the mud around 9%. How much did those new jobs cost? Only about $2 Trillion. Keep in mind that for a normal size family (3.1 people) that amounts to about $200,000 per family (most of it future debt). Such a bargain!

      • smilee

Sorry, this should have been posted here.

There you go again davy, going off on a tangent, addressing things I had not commented on, but I guess your imagination has led you astray again.

      • DaveH

And there you go again with a personal attack instead of facts, Sleepee.

      • Dorothy Jones

spoken like a true idiot smilee

      • smilee

Coming from a true idiot I will take your statement as a compliment

      • eddie47d

Name calling is their speciality Smilee so it doesn’t matter what you read and how often. I use to watch Fox News about a year ago. Seldom do anymore. Townhall has some good articles but they take themselves to the extremes also. Even when folks on this site are dead wrong they defend each other and put the attack on the opposing view. Which they seem to be doing to you. The old gang bang! When I first arrived on this site in 2009 no one dared mention Bush’s name. Those who did were thrown to the curb. Now some have come to realize Bush’s missteps and admit it but getting the whole truth out of them is like trying to crack a Brazil Nut.

      • DaveH

        Polly want a cracker, Eddie?

All the readers need do is read your comments and see how many are fact based and how many consist of mental bullying and conjecture.

It’s no secret, Eddie, so quit your inane posturing.

      • DaveH

For sure, Eddie, the Liberals will gush on your posts, but all you need do is point the way to the trough and they will listen to whatever you say. But if you want to influence the rest, you will need to present the facts instead of the personal attacks.

      • JeffH

DaveH, 47Stupid has a chinese adding machine that he tallies his posts and responses on…forget that he’s childish and that he’s a dimwit, he just looks forward to the number of resonses, liberal or not. He loves the attention.

      • DaveH

I was thinking that same thing, Jeff. He needs attention and will take negative if he can’t get positive.

      • eddie47d

Look, two of the 7 dwarfs showed up. Dopey and Sleazy. Take your pick Jeff! I think the folks here are realizing how you two trail each other and say the same think over and over to get a rise. Are you saying they are that dumb?

      • JeffH

No 47Stupid, I’m saying that you are.

      • jibbs

LMAO, Once again, you always avoid the question of where you get you info. Your nothing but a waste of time. I think your just a azz and robot.

      • Skyknight

Iam amazed that they actually let you put this story out there. I tried to tell people about it a couple days afterwards and the Huffpost kept censoring it.
If it makes you feel better, THE STORY IS TRUE and we have confirmed it through independent CIA contacts. Obama actually ordered the mission scrubbed and should not be getting any credit for taking out Osama ben Laden.

      • smilee

Independent CIA contacts?? What a joke if you are to believe this propaganda without an iota of proof, if you had it you would spout it, unidentified sources can say anything the writer wants him to say. Your a JOKE!!

      • DaveH

A Joke? No, Sleepee, I would say that “if you are to believe this propaganda without an iota of proof” that would make him a Democrat sheeple.

      • smilee

There you go again davy, I never said what I believed that was your assumption. I just said that unidentified sources should not be believed without supporting facts. But this is so typical of you davy.

      • BKWsr

speeking of proof, How do we know Osama is dead. Because CNN says so?

      • Kate8

All this talk of whether Obama did or didn’t order “the mission” is a huge crock of doodoo. Obama would never be allowed to order anything unless orders came down from above. He had absolutely nothing to do with it. He’s nothing but a frontman.

I can’t believe, at this point, that we still have these kinds of debates.

      • Dan az

        Kate
I don’t know if you caught it but Old Henry posted a site above that showed exactly what took place.funny stuff!
        http://reidsright.blogspot.com/2011/05/panetta-ordered-raid.html

      • DaveH

And there you go, Sleepee, accusing others of not supplying references for their “facts” when you spout conjecture constantly. I have Never seen you post a reference for your fabricated facts. That’s not to say you haven’t at some time in the past, but I have never seen it if you did.

      • Kate8

Thanks, Dan. That just confirms that O is nothing but a stooge, told to go out and play and they’ll call him in whenever they need him to step in front of a camera.

        Pathetic.

      • JeffH

Danaz, thanks for the link…very good find.

      • azwayne

Now you stated the real obvious. The main point should be why is valerie jarrett, socialist member of no worth, the main handler of the usurper? Between her and the reporter from cnn sure gives us confidence in worth of the ditherer in chief.

      • Kate8

Jarrett, too, gets her orders from higher up.

Does anyone seriously think that any of these clowns in the WH, Congress or the Judiciary have any real power?

We are bickering over a puppet-show. Keeps our attention off of the real manipulators.

      • JeffH

Kate8, isn’t it just a pity that more people can’t see this.

    • http://none ralph herman

We missed the point that not all Muslims are bad and it is not a war on Muslims it is a was on terrorist.McVie was not a Muslim but he killed women and children as well as men.Our elected President of the Uniter States of America made a bold move and we are the better for it.After 7 years of blundering we finally got success in less than 2 and 1/2 years.OH! those point weren’t made.

We tend to make a mess when we prop up weak and unpopular governments but a fact is a fact we need supply routes they have them. They have to have permission to govern parts of their country and are often told no by tribal leaders who support the very ones that are trying to destroy them and us.

      • patty

The mission to get bin Laden is complete. It is time to get out and to let them continue to fight amongst themselves as they have done since the begining of time.

      • DaveH

Why did McVie do what he did? He said it was to avenge those women and children (and men too) that were killed by Clinton in the very botched and unnecessary Waco Seige (also Ruby Ridge).
Why is it that the Democrats rally so enthusiastically behind killing by Democrats, but go ballistic when it is the Republicans who are doing the killing?
Try being a little more consistent, Ralph.

      • DaveH

That should be McVeigh, by the way.

      • Kate8

DaveH – Except that McVeigh wasn’t a Republican. That was just spin to cast the blame on the “far-right militia”. He has been shown to actually be a Democrat.

To be more precise, he was a CIA operative, a patsy. As was Bin Laden.

All of the false flags have been hugely successful to get us to where we are now by manipulating mass thinking. Some are getting it, but if we don’t stop buying the official line…

      • Dan az

Kate your dead on the money!

      • patty
      • eddie47d

That’s odd because other sites say he was a registered Republican when he left Buffalo. After that he never became affiliated again. Your article says his father was a Democrat which doesn’t mean Timothy was. Your article was from a right wing outfit with a biased opinion. So why would anybody give it much credibility?

      • http://! Angel Wannabe

eddie, boy your a good one to talk about credibility, anything you parrot back to us, is all from the Liberal side,_Credibility Really??

      • patty

Eddie-Comprehension is not your strong suit. The question was:Does upbringing mold a child? It then discusses how Timothy was raised in a catholic/domcratic/union household and in a very liberal state I might add. I looked and could not find how McVeigh was raised on a liberal site. Funny how the libs jumped on the band wagon that he was some miltia person. When in fact, they rejected him.

      • Kate8

Yeah, just like the media tried to jump on the AZ story and spin that kid as a right-wing nutjob.

        And again, he wasn’t.

    • Wayne937

Do you see what I mean about smilee. Bob gives the facts in his statement, and smilee is too stupid to see them. Smilee is another one of those who would not know a fact if it hit him in the face. If you told smilee an object was green, and in fact it was green, smilee would want to argue and say it was blue. Smilee, WAKE UP1111.

      • Kate8

Wayne – smilee is just doing what he/she is paid to do: go on conservative blogsites and try to discredit everyone there.

The only reason smilee et al would read multiple news outlets would be to know which stories to smear for the day. He/she isn’t interested in no stinkin’ facts.

      • Wayne937

Kate8, well MR. Smilee may as well move on as he is not going to change our minds. I have a hard time of kleeping up with this one. I wonder who’s payroll he is on to be monitoring all those forums? Huh? I hope he is getting paid for all this hard butt work.

      • Dan az

        Wayne937
By the way he or she comments I would say it was one of those work from home scams!

    • Carole Howell

      Meyers asks many righteous questions.

He says one aging terrorist? Osama was 56, Saddam Hussein was 69. While SH was surely supporting terrorists groups, the groups he supported were not targeting the USA. Some were actually targeting Osama. SH considered him a dire threat to Iraq.

Now you maybe asking what is my point in pointing this out. Well….the cost of this Iraq war for one thing, makes the wasted billions sent to Pakistan look like pocket change. Funny how so many people flat out over look the huge stuff and focus on the small.

Take Al Qaeda for instance, they are only 200 strong, but we are being made to focus on these 200 as a huge threat, we need to blow them into a huge threat and even help them out when we can (we have found out $$$$ has been funneled into our small weak enemies by our own government over the years) ((and just maybe help them out in some of their terrorist endeavors also))that way we can justify our huge Military expenditures during a time when people are focusing on our debt.

While on the subject of our massive debt, let me point out that Social Security receives zero Federal $$$s. Thats right none. We workers fund Soc. Sec. So why do they (Gov and MSM) insist in putting it in the Federal budget at all, it is our money, every penny of it.Not a dime of it is Federal money.

Here is more info you may find interesting since I have turned this into one about the debt. Of course if you want to believe the Bush Admin. saved Osama for Obama to use as a political prop……

Okay. Just for the hell of it, let’s go after the debt and the deficit the Republican way. No new taxes. All through cutbacks. And I’ll confine my quibbles to a few parenthetical asides.

To begin, then: We’re broke! We can’t afford any more taxes! (Well, America’s 400 wealthiest taxpayers certainly can. In 1955, according to the Campaign for America’s Future, the country’s 400 wealthiest taxpayers had an average income of $13.3 million (in 2008 dollars) and paid 51.2 percent of that in federal income taxes. In 2008, according to IRS calculations, they had an average income of $270.5 million and paid 18 percent of that in federal income taxes. And in 1955, by the way, we could afford to pave roads.

      Harold Meyerson

Republicans’ concern over the growth of government is moral as well as fiscal. To quote the House Republican “road map” that accompanied the release of Rep. Paul Ryan’s budget, “Americans were known and admired everywhere for their hopeful determination to assume responsibility for the quality of their own lives; to rely on their own work and initiative. . . . But over time, Americans have been lured into viewing government . . . as their main source of support; they have been drawn toward depending on the public sector for growing shares of their material and personal well-being. The trend drains individual initiative and personal responsibility.”

To remedy this, House Republicans passed a budget that chiefly increases the opportunities for initiative and responsibility available to seniors by reducing their dependence on Medicare and Medicaid (which devotes two-thirds of its funding to nursing-home care). By converting Medicare from a guarantee of payment for medical care to a voucher to purchase insurance, the Congressional Budget Office calculated, the share of medical bills that seniors would have to pay themselves would rise from 25 percent to 68 percent.

Republicans are right to aim big if they mean to reduce the deficit through cuts alone. By most measures, seniors are the major spongers on taxpayers, chiefly through their insistence on not working productively once they hit 65, 78, 92 or whatever. But for the sake of argument, suppose we don’t want to put that burden on our mothers, fathers, grandparents and ourselves. Where else can we identify a comparably large group of drainers of the public till?

Happily, the Tax Foundation — a conservative Washington-based think tank — has, however unintentionally, provided the answer. In 2007, the foundation published a survey of 2005 federal spending in each state and compared that with each state’s contribution in federal taxes. In other words, the foundation identified the states that sponge off the federal government and those that subsidize it. The welfare-queen states and the responsible, producing states, as it were.

The list, alas, hasn’t been updated — in part, no doubt, because conservatives didn’t like what it revealed: that those states that got more back from our government than they paid in were overwhelmingly Republican. The 10 biggest net recipients of taxpayers’ largess were, in order, New Mexico, Mississippi, Alaska, Louisiana, West Virginia, North Dakota, Alabama, South Dakota, Kentucky and Virginia. The 10 states that paid in the most and got back the least were New Jersey, Nevada, Connecticut, New Hampshire, Minnesota, Illinois, Delaware, California, New York and Colorado.

Now, that list has surely changed since the middle of the last decade — Virginia has probably gotten richer and paid in more; Nevada has surely gotten poorer and paid in less. But today’s ranking are probably much the same, unless farming and manufacturing suddenly pay more than finance and high-tech. Even allowing for cyclical variations and political transformations, it’s patently clear that the states that drain the government also constitute the Republicans’ electoral base, while those that produce the wealth constitute the Democrats’. Far from strengthening our moral character, the red states plunge us into the slough of dependency.

If we’re really serious, then, about reducing the deficit entirely through cutbacks, the solution is clear: Cut off these slacker states. As we can’t very well expect them to support legislating an end to their slothful dependence on our sugar-daddy subsidies, the only real solution is to reduce them to vassal status, strip them of their congressional and electoral college representation, and compel them to pay what they owe America’s producing class. If need be — we can’t just go on passing the debt to the next generation — by force.

Take taxes off the table and it’s either the South (and kindred sponger states) or the seniors. I say, the South. It’s time for bold choices. What don’t you understand? We’re broke!

It will yield absolutely zippo. As George Washington said, it is far more important that you spy on someone without their knowledge than it is to spy on them. That’s because if they know you are spying they will change their ways. No different here. He just couldn’t keep his mouth shut and feign surprise when a reporter asked him about bin laden’s death. Nope, had to go blow his mouth off so now the intelligence is worthless. Great job their El Presidente.

smilee – You’ve been sipping at Obozo’s Cootie-Aid too long. Ever wonder why our Procrastinator-in-Chief and ‘Nobel Peace Prize’ buyer…er, I mean recipient is totally against waterboarding, but has no qualms about shooting someone in the head? WAKE UP AMERICA!! This radical, scum-sucking, commie-loving, socialist piece of Shiite, is INTENTIONALLY destroying our country economically, socially and politically from within!! The fox is in the henhouse….get it??
