Hand-Picked Judges Hear Appeal of Obamacare Suits

Two of President Barack Obama’s nominees and one of former President Bill Clinton’s nominees made up the three-member panel of appellate judges that heard two Obamacare suits Tuesday. The suits went to the 4^th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals after a series of highly partisan decisions from lower courts.

The panel was chosen by a randomizing computer program, according to WashingtonExaminer.com.

The article, published Tuesday morning, described how the cases would be heard: “In the first of the two suits, to be heard at 9:30 a.m., Liberty University will challenge the Constitutionality of the law’s mandate that forces individuals to purchase insurance or pay a fine as well (sic) the requirement that larger employers offer insurance. After 40 minutes of oral arguments, the judges will move to the next suit, in which the state of Virginia will challenge the individual mandate as a threat to states’ rights and personal liberty.”

Regardless of the appeal’s outcome, the losing side will undoubtedly appeal to a higher court — meaning it is only a matter of time before the unConstitutionality of Obamacare is decided by the Supreme Court.
