Conservatives have a self-imposed obligation to LIVE UP to their beliefs. Posers who call themselves conservatives (‘Republicans,’ etc.) aren’t bound by this standard. Horse’s patoot McCain is a prime example of a port-to-starboard and back Republican. The rest (progressives and all other forms of freedom-hating vermin), have no standards and have no external or internal pressure to change their ways (it’s easier for them, as they are rarely required to THINK).
Let posers who want to be thought of as conservative be singled out and forever kept out of conservative circles.
Why make it complicated? Either people are conservative, or they’re N O T. If they’re not, %^@#* them.

Some people think President Obama is being singled out because some other Presidents have created similar situations, but that is why the War Powers Act of 1973 was written into law by Congress. The law basically states that the President cannot use the military or resources in an act of war against a sovereign nation without appproval of Congress unless there is an imminent threat of attack. Obama is the first President to violate the Constitutional law, but hey guess what, isn’t that a pattern this President follows because he thinks he is above the law. For example, signing into law a healthcare bill that is not only unconstitutional, but will bankrupt our country and there was using TARP funds for social paybacks instead of returning unused TARP monies to the treasury as required by the TARP legislation, alsoby directing the Dept of Justice to drop the solid case of voter intimidation and death threats by the New Black Panther Party at several Philadelphia polling places. This President’s actions are troubling because there could come a day when he decides that he should just take over and disregard Congress and the Constitution just like the dictator Hugo Chavez and Fidel Castro have done in South America. Only a fool would ignore the checks and balances our forefathers created in our Constitution and only a corrupt politician would take office and bypass the law of the land for what he or she believes is for the greater good. Mao Tse Tung did it in China decades ago and in the process murdered 70,000 million people. You see dictatorships killing massive numbers of innocents every day. Please get engaged, I do not want to see my children or grandchildren exposed to a society that embraces radical socialist ideology. Vote them out 2 Nov 2012.

can only hope that (because of the federal ‘requirement’ of document, document,…, that the option will not occur until after the 2012 elections. then IF the right gets a majority in both the Senate and House, they will do something. but even Cheney said that if the Pres. bypasses Congress, and sends in troops, he will be impeached(course he was talking about Bush), and OB said a very similar statement. these statements should be used against these two, and follow through with any impeachment procedings

Our politicians are usually riding a tight rope and must try out different policies before committing to a program.One of my senators will not take E-MAIL from me because I criticized his vote on new members to the Supreme Court. It makes me wonder who he is representing in congress. He could have told me the reasons that he voted the was he did. The ability of our acting President to govern through proclamation and bypass congress is unconstitutional. Why doesn’t congress act on this and many other high crimes by the impeachment process?

I disagree with the opening assertion; the author simply hasn’t heard that many of us constitutional conservatives. The problem we have is that most of the conservatives in Congress are still in shock and awed by the audacity of Mr. Obama’s latest crime against the People.

*Murder of foreign nationals
*Issuing illegal orders to the armed forces
*Abuse of Power

I’m sure this is not a comprehensive list, but it sure looks like “high crimes” to me. If Mr. Kucinich can see the problem right away, why are his colleagues taking so long to get it?

it maybe true what the founding fathersaid but! No body of men or one man can commit us armed forces? The past precidents in the 60′s (vietnam)& the congress (the body of men) have approved the pres. to commit the millatary to “jump to”: true the war powers of the consititution has been changed,however other parts of the document has been changed as well! The congress only has to use a slimmer majority 3/5(60%)instead 2/3 (66 1/3) so as long as 1&2 amendment don’t get hurted we call this a democratic republic(repub/dem)whatever! The founding father/fathers poetic double speak”high crimes&misdemeanors” as such are poor ex. for show the intentions of “founding fathers”.
