Palin Scheduled To Speak At Hunters’ Convention

Palin scheduled to speak at hunters' conventionFormer Alaska Governor Sarah Palin has been the target of several left-wing accusations following the Jan. 8 shooting in Tucson, Ariz., but the controversy is not keeping the Tea Party favorite from advocating for 2nd Amendment rights.

According to Politico.com, Palin will be the keynote speaker at the Safari Club International (SCI) convention on Jan. 29 in Nevada. The annual event sponsored by SCI, a pro-hunting group, is expected to draw approximately 20,000 spectators. The organization's website said that Palin will talk about her past hunting experiences, as well as how politics affects hunting and fishing industries.

Palin was the subject of liberal ire in the wake of the Tucson shooting, which left six people dead and 14 wounded, including Representative Gabrielle Giffords (D-Ariz.). In response, the former vice presidential candidate said that pundits and commentators were committing "blood libel" by blaming her for the tragic shooting.

Meanwhile, the shooting has not deterred gun-rights lawmakers in Arizona, according to The Associated Press. Last week, state legislators proposed a bill that would allow college and university faculty to carry concealed weapons on campus. It follows several other pro-gun proposals this year, including a law that would bar landlords and homeowner groups from restricting the right to bear arms in self defense, the news provider reported.

    Ye gods and little fishes! Who cares if she can hit the broad side of a barn or not. That’s not how I chose my elected officials. I do not feel I am a liberal, I voted for Ron Paul (I always vote my consience, despite people telling me I’m wasting my vote) in the last presidential election. I am for the Tea Party and what they [seem] to stand for, smaller government and a return to the constitution. But, I still think that Sara Palin is a politician and will do what is necessary to be elected. And I have little fait in her intilligence, OR her ability to NOT follow party line if elected—someone has to tell her what to actually THINK!

      The problem with elementary sentence structure, while seeming very clear to many that understand what is being said is that it’s easily twisted and misconstrued as few qualifiers are used.

    The one thing I really want to see in the GOP is a call to cut out all “nice to do” things in government and concentrate only on the “must-do” category. I suspect we could easily stay within the budget AND pay off a good portion of our debt. Once we are out of debt we can then consider again the “nice to do” stuff – if we haven’t gotten used to the idea that “must do” is enough.

    Like most politicians Sarah is an opportunist.She runs to whatever element gives her the most coverage and she has learned how to play the system well.I like her ambition but not her tactics. That makes her little different than anyone with political aspirations.

If you don’t like her you should be able to give us some good valid reasons, that will stands up to the test. I personally have not seen anything that I dislike about the lady. I think she has a lot of common sense that is lacking from the liberals in our current government. People are afraid to hear the truth and that is exactly why the liberals don’t like her.         A number of state legislatures are processing bills to Mandate a person provide indisputable proof that they are American Citizens prior to being placed on the ballot in their state.

        This will most likely end up in the Supreme Court as soon as it is passed by any state. I believe Oklahoma is closest to having such a law.

        The Governor of Hawaii admits that he cannot find a true Record of Birth in any Medical Facility in the state of Hawaii. This just today. So we’ll see if a Liberal Supreme Court will uphold the Contitution.

        Sarah Palin has had more time in high level public service that Obama. And the governor of Alaska has some special power regarding Russia due to it’s proximity to our territory.

        Obama is a relative newcomer to the political scene, brought along by the Chicago Political machine. His service in the Illinois political arena was lackluster, and his service in the Congress was mostly a case of “Not Present” on all important votes.

        Obama and his wife both have been removed by the Illinois Bar association from practicing law. Records sealed. This is not done except in pretty drastic cases.

        The only thing that was good was the Presidents words, but he should never have been pausing for applause in a Eulogy which is what he was giving.

I remember watching Mother Teresa giving a speech in Washington. I heard all the things that she said to Al, Tipper, Bill, and Hillary.     Nice to see that neither Sarah Palin or the State of Arizona will be intimidated by the Communist press and the mix and match Congress in this country. More states are standing in opposition to the heavy handed anf outright unconstituitional behavior of BOTH the President and the Congress. The people forsee a time unfortunately, when guns will be needed to protect what thy have EARNED and the society continues to deteriorate because it is what Obama wants. All you newly elected congressmen; you are NOT doing your jobs. You were elected to STOP obama and his utterly imperialistic and dictatorial practices. DO IT! Grow a set and question eveything proposed and oppose it if you deem it in the least bit unconstitutional or, YOU will be gone in 2012.

      One of the liberal fantasies is that most of the people in the US are liberal or at least lean that way. That isn’t necessarily true.

      Further, many of the GOP (not necessarily conservatives) also lean toward the liberal side. Since they want to be the chosen ones, they also try to insist that most conservatives lean that way too. Actually we vote that way simply because no better candidate is offered.

      I suspect that if Palin does decide to run for President that she will give both the Libs and the present RINOs a run for their money.

We need to fight for our 1st & 2nd amendment rights as they go hand in hand. They want to create an internet czar to monitor our internet accounts, & if we say something they don’t agree with or that isn’t “politically” correct, in their opinion, look out! We need to put God first, & Sarah does this. Then, family & country come in a close second. If we do the right things for the right reasons long enough, good things will happen.     I think it is funny that she would talk to a group of hunters when, it would appear, she only picks up a firearm to give herself gun cred to conservatives. I saw the clip of her “reality” show of her “hunting”. She kept asking her dad; will it kick? She didn’t seem to know how to eject a spent shell and reload a bolt action rifle (how simple is that?). And she couldn’t hit the broad side of a barn? How many shots did it take her? Most hunters would be embarrased to have that footage broadcast to the world. Like I said; it seems her gun toting is to gain popularity among a segment of our population, not because it is part of her life.

        I guess you didn’t watch close enough because her dad gave her a gun she had never used before and she wasn’t use to plus they discovered there was a problem with the gun it wasn’t sighted in right but when their friend gave her another gun to use she put the animal down right away! Get a grip. You see what you want to see and not what is really there. I saw the program too !

      if you had watched the entire segment you would have seen that something was wrong with the sighting on the first rifle she used. She got it first time with the second rifle she used. Everyone knows that if the sight is messed up on a rifle NO ONE will hit the target.
      I’m sure Sarah knows as much as she needs to know about guns.

        What you say about a rifle’s sight is true. A true hunter/sportsman will take the responsibility to sight in their rifle prior to the hunt for both safty and to minimize the wounding of the game you are after.

        i have hunted for over 55 years and afer sighting my scope,s on my numerous rifles 6 from 22cal /270cal/7mag cal/300weatherby.one time unless you hit drop kick or throw them just one time is all need be done and i also have bolt action pump action single shot and simi auto, gun like a woman need be handled with care treat both with respect and they will last a life time

        I’m pretty sure it was caribou. She took a bunch of shots at the thing standing still and missed. Ultimately she (I assume) got it. Can never tell with TV.

        The one where they were shooting clay pigions was another show. The hunt was with her father and Sarah and a friend. Her father was carrying the gun she was to use and he fell. That is probably when the sight got off.

      If you had watched the show, as you claimed, you might have noticed that she was using her father’s rifle which had been handed to her. Not only had she not shot that particular rifle before but her father had fallen down a hill with it earlier on in the program, knocking off the scope. She did make a one shot kill with her own rifle. Do your best to find fault with her, but you know in your heart that she’s twice the man you are.

        i felt sorry for palin during the 2008 campaign and still feel that the media mistreated her. i, too, was hoping she’d make a comeback by 2012. however, i will NOT vote for her now. the texas tea party had a great gubernatorial candidate in debra medina who worked her butt off for ron paul. instead of coming to texas and supporting medina, she came here and threw her support behind rino rick perry. why? i believe it’s because she was hoping the good looking duo of palin/perry or perry/palin would make a great run for the white house in 2012. perry says he’s not going to run for potus, but perry’s a liar. he wrote a book and is going on tours to promote it which is getting his name and face out nationally. i wouldn’t vote for him for potus any more than i voted for him for governor. i voted for libertarian kathy glass who kicked butt during the debates in which perry refused to participate.

        If they really want her to go away they wouldn’t be paying her so much attention. I still think that she could make history and be our first woman president.
