Liberals Quick To Act, Blast Political Opponents Following Arizona Shooting

The Democratic response to the Jan. 8 shooting in Tucson, Ariz., has left many commentators questioning whether left-wing politicians are using this deadly event to bolster their political agenda.
FOX News recently detailed the stark differences in President Barack Obama's reaction to the Arizona massacre to his response following the 2009 shootings in Fort Hood that left 13 dead and 30 wounded. Following the deaths at the military base, Obama went ahead with his speech at the Tribal Nations Conference, making time to thank those in attendance before addressing the incident.
Following the shooting this past weekend, Obama made a statement to the press, called for a national moment of silence and canceled a trip to New York. He also sent FBI Director Robert Mueller to the crime scene in Tucson, the news provider reported.
Many liberal politicians have been vocal following the shooting, placing some of the blame on the rhetoric used by right-wing talk show hosts and members of the Tea Party. Former Alaska Governor Sarah Palin has fielded criticism for having crosshairs symbols on her website that targeted congressional districts.
Boston Herald columnist Michael Graham said that many leftists are using the recent shootings in an effort to discredit their political opponents.
"They have absolutely no shame in using the blood of a wounded congresswoman or a dead 9-year-old girl to do it," Graham wrote.
