Since Obama took office, there has been 200 new rules from the EPA, 100 new regulations from the Department of Labor, 183 new agencies formed for Obamacare, 540 new rules, 170 new reports required from the Financial Regulation Bill. Whew, and that was ALL on top of the regulations, rules, ect., that was ALREADY in place to destroy every business owners opportunity to make money, grow their business and hire new employees. I am expecting to close my business in the next few weeks. I just can’t keep up with all these regulations and requirements. NO ONE can. If business owners operate exactly according to the requirements of the government, both state and federal, they CAN NOT OPERATE. It’s madness.

If Capitalists do something bad then you all run with your tails between your legs and deny it’s very existence. I think you are missing the point. All candidates for the presidency must prove to the Federal Elections Commission that they were born in the U.S. to be certified as a candidate.
If Obama had been born anywhere else the right wing would have spent any amount to prove it.

Nick, the Federal Elections Commission merely oversees election financial matters. The Speaker of the House is supposed to check the validity of a presidential nominee after the primary election is over. When McCain’s eligibility was questioned, Democrats in the Senate rushed through a non binding resolution determining that children born to military persons stationed outside of the US hold natural born status. Republican’s went along with them rather than insisting on new law being passed to clarify the constitutional definition of Natural Born. At that time McCain could have questioned Obama’s status but chose not to, in fact during his recent re election bid, he again stated that no one should question Obama’s eligibility. Did he make a deal…or does he truly believe there should be no vetting of presidential candidates?

It is so simple anyone should be able to understand it. Obama proved to the Federal Elections Commission that he was born in America. He doesn’t have to prove it to people who will just refuse to believe it.

He’s proved nothing more than that he knows how to cover his tracks.

However, myself and Rand Paul are both a sons of the south, children of the Bayou and share the same values. He has been outspoken and fearless on some sensitive racial issues and personal liberties. While I understand him, he will be misunderstood by many that has not walked in our shoes, not enjoyed the rich full flavor of the Texas Delta, where Spanish moss drape the trees and everyone knows their place, finding comfortable to stay there. This is a world of the unspoken word yet understood.

I would encourage Rand Paul to walk lightly until he has build up some political equity and capital,enabling him to withstand a lighting strike that’s sure to come. I’d like to see him have a long active political career and perhaps a shot at the 1st chair position someday.

polls are done by phone – land line. not many people have land lines these days, so these polls aren’t as accurate as they should be since they don’t reach a large percentage of the population. none of my sons have a land line, and most of my friends just have cells.

All of our children have cells for their home phones and I hate them. The sound goes in and out and you lose part of what they are saying, especially if they’re moving from one place to another. It’s the younger generation that is in love with them. All of my older friends still have landlines. All technology isn’t that great. You even have to be careful what you put over the internet due to hackers.

i don’t have a cell phone, but i have an on-star phone in the car for emergencies. i don’t think folks should be using their phones while driving, but the on-star service doesn’t take more than the push of 1 button, then you talk to it. many of my friends have both cells and land lines, but most think it’s a waste of money to have both. i even have a land line phone that plugs into the wall. when the electricity goes out, the cordless is worthless, but the old black dial phone still works. cells do help make people stop interrupting. the phone goes silent.

I have a land line and a cell and so do most of my friends and relatives and none of them have ever received a call from Gallop are any other poll. Most of my friends still have a land line because if one goes down… and it will, you still possibly have the other to depend on to make a call.

I guess I am one of the odd ones, because I am CONSTANTLY being called by Gallop for polls. I wish I could get them to take my name off their dang list, but they just keep calling! Hanging up doesn’t do any good, because they just call back a few hours later, so I have just started making crap up. Sorry, I know it messes the polls up, but if you know how to get OFF their list let me know!

A private business is private. They have a constitutionally protected RIGHT (see that amendment the liberals love to quote. 1st amendment) to discriminate.

What liberals and a lot of conservatives fail to understand is shown in the example given about a restaurant. A business that serves food to its members can discriminate all it wants.

A business OPEN TO THE PUBLIC can not. This is so naturally obvious that many people forget there is a clear and present difference.

As far as a realestate broker not selling me a house, Norm they are just the middle man. The house’s owner is the seller and I would be the buyer. Thus if I have either Great Credit as in score well over 700 plus as well have 20% plus down payment, and or the full amount in cash in hand what would be the problem.

As it stands there are 10,000 home per month going into forclosure as of 2010. These numbers are projected to rise to 15,000 Plus per month in 2011.
As far as I can tell Rand Paul had nothing to do with either of these event’s, nor my drinking Tea or when I did drink a bottle of Scotch.

BTW – This problem is mostly based on “Balloon” loans, as in 1% for 3 years then poping up to 6 – 10% plus after the three year period of time.
If one can’t afford a Million dollar plus home they should not be buying one let alone even looking nor taking on such an absurd loan format. as an ARM

Its far more logical to pay a 20 – 30 year fixed loan at 7.5% then to have an ARM no matter how good the ARM looks on paper.
As well don’t buy more home than you can afford.

We were little bigots as children. We didn’t mistreat black people, but we did avoid them. My dad lectured us constantly that we shouldn’t judge people by their skin color. As we grew into our teens, we had pretty much learned to be respectful of people of all colors. Then affirmative action came along. My dad, who was foreman at a cement plant, witnessed several blacks that took total advantage of the new special protections. Over the following years he became very prejudiced against minorities. So, the roles were reversed. We spent much of our time after that lecturing our dad that you shouldn’t judge people by their color. That’s the effect that Force has on people. They become bitter and divided.

Then I take it you just don’t vote? A politician who keeps his word is indeed rare. On the other hand, though, if they keep their word and the voters have decided they want something else, then they are damned for that. The problem is that Government is just into too damn much, and there is no freaking way they can please everybody. The voters need to get their acts together and realize one size can never fit all. So the best we can do is shrink government dramatically, and expect our politicians to abide by the same morality that the citizens must obey.

To me it is an odd poll. They all had an extremely low percentage of the population behind them. I think also that people look for name recognition. There are a lot of good people out there but most fail to recognize people who put forth sincere efforts to help and focus on one or two negative points made as a focus by the press.
