Report: Awareness Of Heart Disease Risk Factors Remains Important
December 20, 2010 by Personal Liberty News Desk
New research has emerged that may cause some people to think twice before indulging in foods high in saturated or trans fats.
The American Heart Association released a new report titled Heart Disease and Stroke Statistics – 2011 Update, which states that between the years 1997 and 2007 there was a 27 percent increase in the number of inpatient cardiovascular operations and procedures.
Along with that stat, the report added that the estimated cost of heart disease and stroke in 2007 was $286 billion.
Veronique L. Roger, M.D., the lead writer of the report, said the research suggested keeping tabs on "risk factors" surrounding the disease and that people had "not won the war against heart disease and stroke."
The idea of making lifestyle changes to decrease a person's risk has been a popular theme this year, with First Lady Michelle Obama's crusade against childhood obesity and UK chef Jamie Oliver's reality show that focused on helping American families eat healthier.
Consuming fruits and vegetables is one way people can avoid developing heart disease. And with the holiday season in full swing, it may mean opting for the broccoli and saying no to the fries.

If you are blood type O or B I would not worry about sat. fats too much. as long as you are eating good clean red meat and organic white meat as well . If you are blood type A or Ab you should not eat red meat anyway. SEE: eatright4yourtype.com Proven through the studies of the human genome.

Saturated fats are NOT the evil they have been portrayed to be.Saturated fats, eaten as part of a daily diet in moderation, are crucial for good health. Butter, raw milk, coconut oil, and other foods have been vilified in order to prepare consumers for the advent of vegetable oils, canola oil, corn oil and margarines. Indeed, it is those foods that have caused so much damage to consumers health. Coconut oil is the only oil, which when heated does not form trans fats. Even olive oil forms trans fats when heated. Olive oil, in order to be enjoyed in good health should never be heated, and used fresh as in salads.I urge readers to do their own research. When people grew their own vegetables, drank their own raw milk from their healthy grass grazing cows, and churned their own butter, they did not have the incidence of diseases that we have now. God didn’t make any mistakes. It’s only when man thinks he can do better that our diets and way of life become endangered. Ever notice how a tub of margarine set out in the sun will never spoil? Yet butter will go rancid quickly. I lump the margarine right along side of the fast food french fry. You can discover a McDonald’s french fry under your car seat, weeks after it was “lost” and it will not be spoiled. Yet no one seems to realize what this means. It is the plethora of “fake” foods that have been adulterated by man that cause the problems. Not the food created for our nourishment and healing by our loving Father.
Saturated fats ARE NOT THE SAME as trans fats. Gawd!!! Stop parroting the medical mafia’s lies. Every cell wall in the human body is composed of saturated fats, NOT polyunsaturated fats. Trans fats interfere with the integrity of the cell walls and muck up the receptor sites. Read what Moonifa said.
The conventional “wisdom” needs to be trashed. Turn of the stupid televisions and go to westonaprice.org for some REAL truthful information about the care and feeding of the human body.
Enough already!!!
