A Wing And A Scare

November 30, 2010 by

A Wing And A Scare

Ripped from the headlines:

“Show Detective Stabler where the man touched you, Johnny.”

Another riveting episode of Law & Order: SVU? Nope — it’s the newest addition: “Law & Order: TSA.” And don’t look for it on television. Check local listings for time and airport.

There are a million jokes I could crack about President Barack Obama’s new fascist false flag flap at the nation’s airports. But bandwidth limits the space available, even if the situation wrought by Obama and his stooges as the height of the holiday travel season arrives provides endless opportunities for comedy. Well, tragicomedy, anyway.

It’s actually difficult to comprehend how we’ve arrived at this moment. The same liberals who shrieked bloody murder at the very idea of waterboarding Islamofascist terrorists are okey-dokey with the idea of taking dirty pictures of Grandma Kettle and copping a feel off Great-Aunt Ida? During the George W. Bush administration, liberals were apoplectic over the idea that we were denying al-Qaida terrorists bacon-free Happy Meals. The same folks are now telling us to live with being fondled by some guy named Mel with an embroidered badge, mustard stains on his high-water pants and a drawer full of rejection letters from the local sheriff’s department.

Should we even be surprised? An administration which has shown unabashed hostility to the majority of the American people since Obama slithered into the White House has decided to obscure their pathetic record on foreign affairs and national security by endeavoring to distract us with a colossal false flag. And now, the $10/hour mouth-breather who would otherwise be slinging coronaries at the airport Cinnabon is the last line of defense between air travelers and the next shoe-bomber. Doesn’t that mean we’re already screwed?

The stories are coming faster than the voters abandoned the Democrats earlier this month. At school or church, these incidents would be considered pedophilia. At LAX, they’re “security.” Some of the anecdotes are wildly exaggerated. Others are not — and require no augmentation to strain credulity. In some cases, the sordid tales of TSA excess come with the kind of pictures which, if found under your mattress, would lead to a date with the FBI.

Witness the nightmarish video from Salt Lake City starring a kid barely old enough to fly without sitting in a parent’s lap. Shot last Friday, the video revealed Transportation Security Administration thugs treating the tyke in a manner which normally requires police intervention, followed by registration with the state. Even the Palestinians don’t treat their kids this poorly; at least not until they’re old enough to walk under the weight of the Semtex vest.

There’s the miserable story out of Detroit in which poor Thomas Sawyer of Lansing, Mich., was treated far worse than we treat the al-Qaida terrorists about whom the liberals are so concerned. Sawyer is a bladder cancer survivor. As a result of his disease, Sawyer has to wear a urostomy bag. Back on Nov. 7, Sawyer went through security at Detroit’s Metropolitan Airport. And the TSA was ready.

“Evidently the scanner picked up on my urostomy bag, because I was chosen for a pat-down procedure…One agent watched as the other used his flat hand to go slowly down my chest. I tried to warn him that he would hit the bag and break the seal on my bag, but he ignored me. Sure enough, the seal was broken and urine started dribbling down my shirt and my leg and into my pants. They never apologized. They never offered to help. They acted like they hadn’t seen what happened. But I know they saw it because I had a wet mark.”

If only Sawyer had shown up wearing a hijab — then the terrorist front-group CAIR might have demanded security personnel check only his head and neck.

These documented instances are but few of the accounts of TSA behavior which are growing at what appear to be a geometric rate. Women and children have been molested; men like Sawyer have been humiliated, all by Obama’s airport animals. Amidst howls of justifiable rage from the flying public, the administration’s response has been laughable — and laughably disharmonious.

The U.S. Secretary of “I’m really not running for President in 2012″ Hillary Clinton even acknowledged on her dash through the Sunday morning network chat-fests that she would prefer to avoid Obama’s empty security gestures. Asked if she would submit to some alone-time with a TSA thug, Clinton admitted:

"Not if I could avoid it…I mean, who would?"

She CAN avoid it. You and I… can take Amtrak.

At least Clinton appears to get it. Senator Claire McCaskill (D-Mo.), finds humor in the humiliation of her fellow citizens.

"I am wildly excited about the notion that I can walk through a machine instead of getting my dose of love pats."

Surely, Senator McCaskill, even the TSA’s glorified mall security guards aren’t that hard up.

Meanwhile, backed by Obama’s silly statements regarding the necessity of the new measures, Homeland Secretary Janet Napolitano and TSA Director John Pistole have maintained their stance in favor of getting handsy with citizens. Pistole recently told Congress:

"We know the terrorists’ intent is still there… We are using technology and protocols to stay ahead of the threat and keep you safe. (Several near-misses by terrorists on airplane bombings) got through security because we were not being thorough enough in our pat-downs."

Actually, the threats to which Pistole referred in his testimony — would-be terrorists like Richard Reid and Umar Farouk Abdulmutallab — got through because foreign airports allowed them through; a situation which will remain unchanged no matter how many times some TSA creep touches American travelers’ “junk.”

Pistole’s boss Napolitano makes no effort to wrap herself in the false flag with which Pistole covers himself. Instead, she shares the rest of the liberal ruling elite’s disdain for those of us who fly coach. In addition to suggesting that those averse to spending quality time with Obama’s TSA thugs should consider alternative modes of transportation, she’s also warning intransigent travelers that their refusal to subject themselves to humiliation will carry consequences far more serious than simply arriving late to Thanksgiving dinner.

According to recent reports like this one in the South Florida Sun-Sentinel:

“(Those who refuse to submit to invasive screening procedures) will have to remain on the premises to be questioned by the TSA and possibly by local law enforcement. Anyone refusing faces fines up to $11,000 and possible arrest.”

Just lay there, close your eyes and try to live through it.

Of course, we can avoid having to play “hide the cookies” with the TSA, provided we’re willing to:

  1. Be “scanned” by devices which not only reveal enough to make even Larry Flynt uncomfortable, but deliver enough radiation to make frequent flyers grow extra toes.
  2. Gamble that the supposedly instantly deleted images will actually be instantly deleted and not spread across the Internet by perverted TSA personnel. Oops — spoke too soon.
  3. Eschew air travel and go Greyhound. Enjoy 18 hours sitting next to a guy who smells like hamsters and feet.

There is another option. We can refuse. We can grind the nation’s airways to a halt. All right, we can grind the nation’s airways to even more of a halt than the airlines have already ground them. It’s not as if the airlines will suffer for the loss of paying customers — they’ll end up getting another multi-billion dollar bailout.

We can finally stand up to the increasingly despotic liberal regime and cry with one voice:

“We had better get some freaking peanuts after this!”

I empathize with virtually every word of this article, but what we are forgetting is the hand of God’s judgment in all of this. One of the most poignant lines in Solzhenitsyn’s “Gulag Archipelago” is the response to the question, why are all of these things happening to us? “Because we have forgotten God,” was the plaintive reply.

Aside from occasional lip-service, conservatives and liberals alike have rejected the authority of God and his law. We have rejected The Law of the Covenant recorded in Exodus 20-23 and replaced it with our national idol, the godless U.S. constitution. Conservatives in particular are blind to the fact that the Constitution is not the solution to our problem IT IS THE PROBLEM.

This idolatrous document enshrines the goddess of “we the people” in the place of authority that should be reserved for God alone (Preamble). It makes itself — not the Bible — “the supreme law of the land” and makes it illegal to require that officials swear an oath to govern by God’s law (Art. VI). This is all documented at http://www.america-betrayed-1787.com/ and http://www.missiontoisrael.org/biblelaw-constitutionalism-pt1.php for those who have ears to hear.

  • WInks

The Constitution does not guarantee your passage on an airplane, so if you do not wish to succomb to a search, you have the option NOT to enter an airport. On the other hand, the Constitution does guarantee me the right to LIFE. In fact, I think that is the first right it guarantees. So, if a little pat down is what is needed to help guarantee I get to continue living, it is not a big deal. What are all of you so afraid of? TSA might see your small peenie??

    • libertytrain

I guess, if you call living being policed Federally in every aspect of life, and patdowns, etc. guaranteed living?

      • WInks

It is not every aspect of life. It is one aspect which I have the choice to avoid. And in this case, though it does not guarantee my life (e.g. the plane could crash, or God forbid, someone could get something through despite our best efforts), it does reduce the chances that someone who wishes to do us harm will succeed. These scanners and pat downs along with other measures such as K9s, which I see all the time at the airport; air marshalls; behavioral profiling and no fly lists provide a decent security profile. People are just so angry and feel so out of control in their personal lives, they are lashing out like children, and like children, they are lashing out at the wrong people.

      • JC

Keep waving your little `Change Button` we`ll be taking names later.

      • Snitch-In-Time

Start boiling the tar and plucking the chickens.

      • Darlene Jackson

Hey, it always just starts with “only” to get the proverbial foot through the door and before you know it, we’ll be asking ourselves, ‘how did we allow THAT to happen??’ That’s what happened in Nazi-Germany. Everything Hilter did was for “the good of the people” to lull them into submission and they became sheeple…the rest is history. :/

    • Eric Bischoff

Until the next attack comes from a person who has inserted a bag up his rectum full of C4.

We are like frogs in a kettle. Not noticing that we are being slowly boiled.

First the belt, then the shoes, then pat downs and naked pictures. The next will be pull your panties down, bend over and spread your legs please!

      • TIME

        Dude, Good points.

        And now for the funny of the moment;

( TSA is now giving GROPE Discounts.)

      • http://none Mike

Time, I heard thoes Grope rates depended on your Grope ability though. Higher rates apply to the less beautifully gifted. Mike L.

      • Michael J.

        Eric,
Maybe you should consider wearing something else besides “panties”.

Butte seriously though, I think the drive behind the government grope fest is not to catch terrorist but instead to condition the minds of Americans for the inevitability of the coming police state.

    • Al Sieber

Hey Winks, you must enjoy and look forward to “these pat downs”, bet if you could you’d go through the line twice.

      • 45caliber

He does. He immediately goes out and gets into the line again.

      • Michael J.

        Frequent gropee? Gropee groupie?

    • JRC

Moreover, what people do not understand is that they do NOT have any constitutional protection from those searches…everyone that whines about the constitution does not know it and does not know due process.
The moment they buy the ticket they consent to those security measures and searches. So, to have the convenience of using an airplane they give up they’re rights. Read the fine print and read the rules and regulations that the Airlines and airports have posted if you don’t agree with them use a different means of transportation…if you buy the ticket anyways…stfu.
Like I said earlier, buying a ticket is essentially the same as if you invite an police officer into your home and tell him it is O.K. to look around because you feel you have nothing to hide….instead of telling him to get a search warrant.
If you don’t want to abide by the rules, don’t buy a ticket….stay home, walk or drive….period.

      • 45caliber

        I drive.

    • 45caliber

      Winks:

Perhaps you should read the Constitution again. It does not guarantee you life – it states that you have the right to life – one of the rights that our government doesn’t intend for you to have.

    • Lewis Munn

Does it guarantee the Pursuit of Happiness? Sticks in my mind I learned that.

What if the inspections destroy my ability to pursue happiness?

I am avoiding flying as much as possible because the TSA will force me to violate my Faith, and I am not Muslim so cannot get out that way. If my faith is to be violated, violate them also…unless someone in the high places of government believes one special religion is so much better than all the rest it needs to be catered to specially.

Could they then be secretly a follower of the religion the TSA is ordered to cater to specially??? Hmmmmm??

If these people are liars in one area, will they not also be liars in others? And do we want a government of liars??

    • blv54

winks wheres your right to life gonna be when you come down with cancer from the scanners? those scanners are agenda 21 in full swing, their not trying to keep you safe silly the goal is to radiate you to death slowly.

  • Robert

Those who would trade liberty for Safety, deserve neither.(not mine).

  • Victoria DeLacy

If those procedures were performed outside of an airport or medical care context, the perpetrators would be jailed and physicians have already come out against the procedures since hygienic protections are not being followed as they are by medical professionals, which virtually insures the spread of disease in the process as TSA agents then spread contagion from one flier to the next. As to security, they have already proven that a man got on board with knives up his sleeve, so that’s bogus. Meanwhile, there’s a woman on video who was slammed against a table to the point of suffering a concussion for possession of not a knife or a gun…but a bottle of CONTACT LENS FLUID! She is suing for $10 million dollars. I hope that she receives every penny of it in damag..

    • WInks

Victoria, you are 100% INCORRECT. You should be ashamed of yourself for spewing forth such lies. Have you ever been to an NFL game or a rock concert? I have received more invasive pat downs at a baseball game!!! Now, as for the hygenic protections, the TSA agents do wear gloves. It is not like they are doing cavity searches. But given some of the nasty, dirty, unwashed scumbags I have seen giving the TSA a hard time, I would would worry about germs too.

Perhaps if some of these “victims” were intelligent enough to remove the gold coins Glenn Beck told them to buy from their pockets before they go through the metal detector, they would not trigger a pat down!!

      • S.C.Murf

You like the pat downs don’t you wlnks, what happened boyfriend leave?

      • Darlene Jackson

        :) :D

      • Snitch-In-Time

Dullard. The pat-downs come from refusing to submit the full body scan “backscatter” x-ray, not from setting off the metal detector with gold coins. (Most metal investors keep their precious metals in safes or safety deposit boxes, not in their pockets, dimwit.) Sit down and shut up before you embarrass yourself further.

      • 45caliber

        Winks:

You said: “I have received more invasive pat downs at a ball game.”

I seriously doubt that. But maybe you aren’t thinking of the same ball games as I do or you go with the wrong people.

  • Nancy

We Americans have the right to speak what is on our minds whether we agree with each other or not. If you don’t like our right to freedom of expression then stay away from sites such as this. The silent are the loosers!

    • http://www.keysinsurance.com Linda

    • HFlashman

    • Michael J.

      Larry,
Look at the name badge, if it doesn’t read HFlashman, you’re probably safe.

  • Moment of Clarity

Why haven’t we heard from the airline and travel industries on this??? They will suffer gravely from TSA policy.

  • http://yahoo jowolo

Being an ex military person with a secret clearance,my birth certificate on file with the govt. When I purchase a ticket, they know who I am. Yet, I have been pulled out of line for a pat-down while I watched persons that were obviously middle eastern board the plane without even being looked at. The antics of the TSA is an out right attack on our freedoms. Profiling is the only thing that will help keep the airlines safe. Not groping or porn pics.

    • 45caliber

So far I’ve NEVER heard of anyone in Muslim garb being searched or scanned. I know that Whats-her-name is “studying” what to do since it is “against their religion”. In the meantime, they are being profiled by allowing them to walk in without searches.

Doesn’t that make you feel safer?

      • Dan az

        45
hey has anyone actually seen where it says its against there religion?
And if thats the case then why not make it against all religions and put it in print!

  • Cheryl

I believe the president and everyone in his administration plus all TSA employees should have to go through the scanners and then have them posted all over the internet and public TV.

    • Eric Bischoff

Dream on fool. The President has his own plane as do many CEOs and rich people in this country and they have NO xray machines, NO pat downs and NO security check at all on these private airplanes which do NOT have hardened cockpit doors.

So a terrorist can charter a plane, commandeer it and crash it into a building or another airplane.

All while we are all being groped for a false sense of security.

You want to feel secure again, get out of the Middle East, close military bases, bring the troops home and apologize.

      • S.C.Murf

        Well put Eric, bravo

      • Robin from Arcadia, IN

Eric… The only one who apologizes is Barry…

      • 45caliber

You are only supposed to appologize when you do something wrong. I very seldom appologize – and I NEVER appologize for our troops.

    • 45caliber

      Cheryl:

It might certainly change the TSA regs in a hurry if they did!

  • Ron

It’s all about the $$$$$$. Barack will be the first Billionaire Ex-Pres.

  • Mike Keller

We should not be taking this kind of crapp, and travel another way, don’t put up with this BS. WAKE UP AMERICA!

  • DogWithoutSlippers

Question? What has the better odds? A little old white Nun wearing a suicide vest and blowing up a plane or winning Mega Bucks?

    • 45caliber

Considering that an old white Nun would never put on a suicide vest or buy a lotto ticket, the odds are the same – zero.

      • libertytrain

I’ve known a nun now and then to have a lottery ticket – usually someone buys it for her – :)

  • Mike Keller

Well I went to Kansas this spring, and it wasn’t that bad then, but I believe he’s right, just drive, take a bus, train, but do not subject your self to this kind of BS. Barbara Streisand, for the lack of a better word, WAKE UP AMERICA!

    • Conservative at Birth

They are talking about using the same systems for trains and buses as well. What’s next, your private home or automobile?

      • Al Sieber

Yes, Trains and Buses are next, then random searches of everything and everyone, “For Your Safety” of course. we all need to be protected you know.

      • Norm

Don’t let the boogie man get ya!!
Maybe you would prefer getting blown out of the sky.
You’re probably a smoker and don’t believe in global warming.

      • Warrior

Norm, aren’t some of the little rascal’s favorite past times setting off bombs in subways, cars and trucks? How about bombs in building basements? I think that may have happened before.

Oh please, please big brother keep us safe. I’ll give all I have and you can do anything you want to me, just keep me safe.

        How pathetic we’ve become.

      • blv54

norm you must be afraid of the boogie man if you think your gonna get blown out of the sky, and yes I’m a smoker and I don’t believe in global warming

    • Robin from Arcadia, IN

David… And your point is what? Nobody forces you to read or post here. You don’t like it, take a hike!

    • Luc

And while you’re at it, go get some spelling lessons … there’s only ONE “o” in “losers.”

  • http://creationfamilyministries.org jeff

Why does the TSA treatment remind me of the treatment Hitler “provided” to the Jews during the Holocaust? They were stripped and hearded like animals. Is not the TSA treatment (based upon a thinly-veiled excuse of “safety”) similar and one step that direction? One need only include a few other factors into the mix before we get to Holocaust conditions. For one, we already have in place the evolutionary mindset, as Hitler’s humanistic and evolutionary mindset thought the Jews to be closest to “pure ape.” We also have a national leader who likewise disdains his (supposed) countrymen and is allowing treatment of them as if they were animals (in the name of “protection”, of course). My question is: Why don’t they have the same concern at the border? The TSA treatment is but a test to see what Americans will tolerate given the right conditions.

    • Warrior

You my friend – get it. It’s all about control.

    • Luc

YES INDEED! You have hit the nail on the proverbial head!

    • blv54

the southern borders wide open for all the drug dealers and illegals to come right in but on the northern border canadians are being treated terrible, check out some you tube videos on the canadian border it’s the gestapo for them, why not let them in the same as they do for mexico? are we racist against the canadians?

  • Santi

This administration has no clue, better yet, all the clues. People are not going to get used to this infringement of our rights not to be illegally searched. We can say no to travel by air plane. This weekend I drove accross Texas for a 7 hour trip with 5 kids, ages ranging from 6-16. Yes we had some getting used to that, but it’s better then to see my kids get groped by some idoit. I think I would go ape-sh-t on some TSA a$$. If you know what I mean. Les–ian nopalotono or however you spell she–it name loves to get patted down beause she’s into that. Lets not fly at all and see what happens to the airlines for not interfering with how the gov. is handling this. I bet they will hire there own people to handle security. Better be quick, because they will be unionized soon.

    • Luc

Do you really think Janet Napolitano or Pistole or Pelosi or Reid or Obama get patted down? Oh no, my friend! Like the muslim women and the rest of the political elites, they are ALL EXEMPT!

      • Bob Wire

I don’t know if the fly common carrier or not. Pretty sure “O” doesn’t.

    • Christin

      Santi,
I think a LOT of people said NO to TSA sexual assaults and flying this Thanksgiving. We drove also and there was more traffic than usual even for a holiday.

  • Al Sieber

How much longer are Americans gonna take this $hit? what happened to the Thanksgiving protest? what’s next cavity searches? we deserve to lose what freedoms we have left for allowing this. the help wanted ad for the TSA should read ” perverts and child molesters” only apply. what happened to I’m not gonna take it anymore? and only a few people protested, we are a “Nation of Sheep”.

    • Luc

The REALITY is everyone is sitting back waiting for SOMEONE ELSE to take the risk … we want SOMEONE ELSE to suffer the consequences, while we sit safe and anonymous in the crowd … not wanting to draw attention to ourselves or be inconvenienced by choosing a different mode of travel or standing up for our own rights. The administration knows we are a people of comfort and convenience. So what if a few OTHER people have to endure the humiliation and invasion of privacy? We shake our heads and cluck our tongues and say, “SOMEONE should DO something!” as we turn back to our comfortable, convenient lifestyles … lulled into a false sense of security, until all of our rights are trampled and we’re dependent on the government to tell us when we can wipe our collective behinds.

      • Al Sieber

        Luc, thanks for answering that.

      • JC

Nothing is likely to change until we have:
        A) A prolonged power outage.
        B) A run on the banks
        C) Official confiscating guns
        D) Trucks and men hauling people from their homes.

      • Michael J.

        Luc,
Be careful not to under estimate the will of the conservative American patriot. Those of us you so easily characterize as, “people of comfort and convenience” are in reality poised and ready for action, while also possesed of the wisdom that nothing else would bring about that ghoulish grin on the face of the muslim manipulator as quickly as acts of violence by those on the right. Any such actions would unleash the left’s dogs of war, the Obamedia that is, in a preordained blasting of the right along the lines of the default liberal mantra. No, diplomacy must be allowed to run it’s course. The newly elected Tea Party candidates must be given time to effect change.

    • Dan az

      Hey Al
looks like all the libs are out today must be pay day.You know there is a solution to this crap all you need to do is hand some pork in one of the lines and only check out the ones that take the other gate. Its not profiling and you would not even have to ask what your religion is.

      • Dan az

that was hang not hand sorry

  • Norm

The big Opt-Out looked like a big bust Wednesday as most of the Thanksgiving travelers selected for full-body scans and pat-down searches chose to submit to them rather than create havoc on one of the busiest flying days of the year. In fact, in some parts of the U.S., bad weather was shaping up as a bigger threat to travelers’ hopes of getting to their destinations on time.

I have to go back and read 1984 to see how this all turns out! I’m just afraid they want us to riot so they can detain us. The US has the most per capita of prisoners of any country including the axis of evil.
Get to know your neighbors again and get close to like minded people. Try and wake up as many people as you can. They know the baby boomers are getting old so we will be docile, guess again!

    • Darlene Jackson

You got THAT right. They may think we’re ready for creamed-corn and a rocking chair…THINK AGAIN! We could very well be like our WWII parent’s generation. We have big shoes to fill but with the help of The ONE Almighty, we can turn things around…unless all this mess is leading up to The Second Coming, than praise God and help others come to Christ before it’s too late. I have lost friends and been labeled as a trouble-maker, racist and hater, none of that is true. But look how Jesus was treated by His own people, why should I, a Christian expect anything less, right? Jesus said there would be days like this…America has become toxic because God is being taken out of our country. A nation cannot survive without God. So while everyone contiues to throw out venom here on this blog and abroad, GOD is STILL in control and His son, Jesus will have the final say because He is judge and jury. Rosco, to You and Yours, blessings. :)

  • http://None Carole

My husband and I are multi million milers and I will not be traveling at all with these TSA rules. I have asked several airlines to stand up for the travelers…I have heard nothing back from any of them. This is such a joke on the American people. Young muslim men have done all the terroism in and to this country and I do not look like them at all, and niether do the children that are getting groped!!!! How rediculous this makes the USA look. UBL must be laughing in his cave!!!

    • HFlashman

McVey was a “young muslim man”?

      • USMC

When the hell did McVey get on an airplane to blow it up???

      • HFlashman

Carole spoke about ‘young muslim men’ being the terrorists. She didn’t say anything about airplanes. But since you asked…how about Padilla? how about the infamous ‘shoe bomber’ ?

If we would quit screwin’ around playing patsy with the oil companies and swallowing the regurgitated line of “drill baby drill’ … and actually supported energy independence instead of supporting outdated tchnology and oil based energy …. we could tell the ME to go back to camel racing and exporting sand box filler. Problem solved. But that would require the GOP giving up its money sources and the undereducated robots swallowing the GOP lies would be without a major source of anger and rantings.

      • Dagney

What did McVEIGH have to do with ANY airport??? If you think you are going to try making a point, try to be logical. As a bomber, and as a white person, what percentage do you think his ETHNICITY poses a REAL threat to America? And, what percentage of a Muslim’s religion and ethnicity poses a threat to America? Come on, please inform us of a TRUTHFUL answer.

People, on display for all to see, in our airports, in our White House, on the “heritage news”, and here, are the ones who justify this obvious contempt for American freedoms we have enjoyed for many years. You can now also see on display the people who want to control you and your life. They use catch phrases like “it’s for your safety” and “it’s for the children” to lie to you and steal your liberty, your livelihood, and your freedom.

My 11 year old daughter came home and told me that her teacher said that Democrats care about the people, Republicans care about business, and the Green Party people care about the environment. On the surface, I guess it is a true statement, in a way. So, I didn’t go to the Parent-Teacher conference and take my daughter’s teacher to task, like I did her teacher last year for reading a Global Warming children’s book to them as if it was something that was real.

My point is that people must look at the results of the supposed “caring”. Democrats bill themselves as “caring about the people”, so it is accepted truth. What good have they done for the people? Is poverty any less in this country as a percentage, though we’ve had 50 years of the Democrats “War on Poverty”? No, it is not. Are black people any less oppressed? Not by the Democrats and their own black caucus, they aren’t. Unemployment for the black population has skyrocketed under Barak Obama. You get my point. The people they really only care about is themselves and their enrichment off of other people’s productivity. In caring about business, a CONSERVATIVE, (not necessarily a Republican) will care about your FREEDOM to go about your business and provide a living for yourself, your family and products and services for others that raise our standard of living. Good? Yes. There’s nothing to argue with there, though the statist will try by advancing more LIES. Last, the Greenies. All evidence shows that the Greenies care more about the environment and animal life than they do people. How will that turn out for me, you, and them? LOL.

So, my LONG point is that you have to be aware that Liberals/Marxists/Socialists/Statists whatever you want to call them LIE by omission all the time. Just like Flash-in-the-Pan’s statement above, he lied when he brought up McVEIGH because he wanted people to just remember that McVEIGH bombed. Ole Flash did probably catch a few people who don’t think beyond the surface, and don’t look beyond his words. And, that is how these people have made so much progress. People have been too complacent to these lies. To cut to the chase on any arguement easier, find out a person’s ideology first. Then if they are confirmed they are a lefty, just assume they lie or repeat lies without thinking if you want to save time, and life will become much easier.

      • Luc

@ Dagney: Well said … I couldn’t agree with you more!

      • Christin

        Dagney,
        Well said…
…and there was a third person with Mc Veigh and his friend. Witnesses and the building camera tapes that the gov quickly confiscated show an arab-looking person to have helped and probably coached the two digruntled men in how to bomb the Oklahoma building.
That happened on Clinton’s [cover-up] watch.

    • WInks

How long do you think it would be before they bought blue contact lenses, dyed their hair blond and lightened their skin like Michael Jackson? Then how would we spot your “young Muslim men”? The one thing all terrorists had in common is that they made efforts to look Western. Profiling in the sense you are suggesting doesn’t work.

      • JRC

Remember, Islam is a religion and Muslim men are NOT all of Arab decent.
I know quite a few blue eye red hair Muslims from Ireland. Profiling does NOT work if you try to nail down religious zealots…they come in all colors, shape, forms and ethnicity.

      • WInks

My point exactly. You cannot see someone’s religion by looking at them. There are plenty of white European jihadists. Case in point, profiling does not work.

      • alpha-lemming

Yes…. it does. Kindly explain away the success of Elal. Profiling is NOT identity politics as is the default progressive answer, but rather good intelligence. Intelligence is the furthest thing from airport security as it’s currently being practiced. Cases in point:

9-11… Muslim men between 18 and 35 bring box-cutters on board planes, hijack them and fly them into buildings. TSA response… confiscate all pocket knives and nail-clippers.

Muslim man between 18 and 35 tries to ignite a shoe bomb. TSA response… confiscate all butane lighters, shampoo, and tooth paste.

Muslim man between 18 and 35 tries to detonate his underwear bomb. TSA response… feel up granny and sell scanner pictures of little Bobby to the local NAMBLA chapter.

How will we ever prevent the next attack and stay ahead of those who wish to do us harm?? There must be something we’re missing… but what??? (sarcasm font disabled)

The TSA is looking for “things” and NOT TERRORISTS!!! Until that changes, the bad guys will keep trying and some “thing” will eventually slip through.

      • http://mine d:-)

My first hand experience is this: id, ticket checked, check, remove shoes, ALL metal, phones, wallet, jacket, keep boarding pass, walk through metal detector, Result= no buzzer/bell, no problem, move down collect my things and proceed to my gate. Last I checked, the metal detector is still used, before the scanner and patdowns. Fail the metal detector, then further investigation is required. The pat downs/searches happen when people are STUPID and set off the detector with stupid crap like jewelery, belts, change in pockets, what do you idiots not understand about ‘Remove ALL METAL’? the screening process isn’t difficult, unless YOUR STUPID. And for those that require wearing piercings, you must submit due to your lifestyle choice. Those with metal knees, hips, prosthetics, TELL the agent first BEFORE going through the detector, this may aleviate an issue. No, I don’t agree with the TSA thugs doing these pat down searches or the scans, but if your stupid, your going to get one.

      • S.C.Murf

Again you are wrong! One just has to look at Israel and how they handle their security (profiling), and it works. End of discussion.

      • WInks

Actually Murph, I am a dual Israeli citizen. I have lived in Israel and traveled back and forth from Israel to the US at least 20 times in the past 40 years. They do NOT do profiling in the sense you are suggesting. The “profiling” Israel does is called Behavioral Analytics. I learned all about it when I served in the Iseaeli army. Israel does not single out travelers based on race, religion, nationality or clothing. They do not target “young Mulsim men” for special screening. They create a behavioral profile based on answers the traveler provides to very probing questions. Most Americans would feel uncomfortable answering some of the questions Israeli security asks. Following the probing interview, during which a behavioral analysis is conducted, everyone still goes through a metal detector, but some are pulled for additional security screening and others are not even allowed to pass into the airport.

Also, one thing can be sure: it would not matter how much of a public outrcy ensued, if the Israeli government deemed that a certain scanner or a certain search method was necessary, it would be done – period. It is dangerous to let public opinion drive security policy, so those of us whining about the pat downs should think about that.

      • Luc

Well what’s wrong with the TSA using BEHAVIORAL ANALYTICS???? I think that’s the point that MOST PEOPLE ARE MAKING!!!! DUHHHH!!!

    • WInks

Carol, how REDICULOUS you look. Sheesh, if you are a millionaire, can’t you spring for some spelling lessons!

      • USMC

Get yourself some glasses – she is a multi million MILER – you know someone who flies many miles during their lifetime.

      • WInks

Haha!!! LOL!! I thought that was another misspelling. Thanks for pointing that out. Either was REDICULOUS??

      • Snitch-In-Time

Typical of the insulting arrogance and shoddy scholarship that issues from a moral reprobate. Shrill && irrational == Wlnk q.e.d.

      • Ruby

        BTW, it’s rIdiculous.

      • S.C.Murf

hey USMC he only see’s what he want’s to see, true liberal

        up the hill
        airborne

      • WInks

Last I checked, the constitution allows liberals to exist right alongside you anointed ones.

      • JC

Last I checked…Liberals weren’t Liberals anymore…they’re Communists. And killing Commies is something Americans are good at.

      • Kinetic1

Oh J.C. we can always count on you to play the tough as nails American. Stupid, but tough.

      • JC

Im not playing anything, simply stating a truth. Got a problem with that? Of course you do…you`re a LibCom.

      • eddie47d

JC; That must mean that conservatives have become blood thirsty cowards.I think you are the one taking things to the extreme.

      • WInks

PS, I fly about 100K miles a year, and I am not sure what the big issue is. If people remember to empty their pockets, they don’t even get patted down.

      • Luc

WRONG!!! They do … if you’re picked, emptying your pockets won’t help you.

      • ValDM

I beg to differ with you on this point of emptying pockets. Several years ago, my family and I had to travel to attend my Mother’s funeral. The flying arrangements had been made through my sister-in-law, who was an active employee of a very large airline (passes to those of you who don’t know about being family of airline employees). We arrived in plenty of time before our flight to be inspected by security. We all went through the metal detectors fine except for my daughter. She went through no less than 4 times, and then had to be “wanded”. Guess what was causing the fracas with the metal detector? It was her SHOES. There were buckles on them. So that makes the case for removing shoes. How about broken legs/arms that require pins? Your arguments are specious at best.

      • CHIMPIMP

Winks. The word is ridiculous, not rediculous. It is spelled the way it is supposed to be pronounced.

      • Luc

Wlnks, can’t YOU spring for some spelling lessons??? There is no “e” in “ridiculous.”

    • JRC

I also have traveled millions of miles for business and am still traveling several times a month back and forth between the different continents. From Asia to Africa to Europe, to Australia and South America. I do not mind the scanners. They are everywhere in this world. Moreover, the security measures in the US are really not that bad, we don’t have police in our airports in swat gear and sub machine guns patrolling and randomly stopping and searching passengers at they’re whim. We don’t have parts of our airports cordon off and everyone searched without warning, we don’t have to go through a search of all our belongings at the whim of a security person….even if we just go to the airport for a cup of coffee to sit and watch airplanes take off and landing. People in the US make a lot of fuss over nothing.

      • Luc

No, JRC, this is not Nazi Germany … and we don’t want it to become that either. But it this continues, we will certainly be on our way. Do you suggest we wait until we get there before we start complaining?

      • HFlashman

        Luc…were you complaining before 2009?

      • JC

Can’t speak for Luc, but I sure as hell was. The whole system has been rotten (and getting worse) sinse before I was born.

  • THINK ABOUT IT

You yell about Obama not doing enough and when the body scanning starts you yell it is too much, just where do you stand, against everything and every issue we are facing. Everyone is not be “patted down” and just what rights does a law abiding person have, can’t we at least be safe from those who want to harm us. Perhaps if you think there is a close relationship of body scanning and water boarding you should sign up to be water boarded before you go on your next flight. Bet if you go the water boarding over body scanning your next flight will be body scanning.

    • raven13

Obviously, you do not have any rights at all because you, unlike the rest of us, do not know what your rights are in the first place.

      • HFlashman

Raven…one question. Do you support civilian trials …any trial at all… for those held at Gitmo and those caught and indicted for terrorism?

        Let’s talk about Rights ….

    • Darlene Jackson

Why not use those wonderful K-9′s?? I wouldn’t mind that.

    • Radical Thinker

Maybe you could get a body scanner and bring it to the border and scan the illegals comming into our country, O I forgot it would be against the constitution to do that.

    • JRC

Lets all think about this, we sit here screaming and yelling about security procedures that we all consent to….yes, as soon as you buy the ticket you consent to search and pad downs…read the fine print….so, your constitutional right does not apply, you waved it by agreeing to the airlines and airports security measures the moment you buy the ticket. It is the equivalent of telling the policeman on the door …sure come on into my home, look around I have nothing to hide instead of asking him to get a search warrant.
Moreover, the only entity that will gain from all of this are the terrorist, they sit there, laugh and look at the stupid Americans that make it possible for them to launch another attack….this also means, all those whiners are actively aiding the terrorists with they’re antics.
One thing I know, aiding the enemy during time of war is an act of treason.

      • Darlene Jackson

The fact that we can be fined for not allowing a pat-down or scanning is just the government’s way of making money off of the American people once more…..Shoot, maybe it will help with our huge deficit!! So not only do we get sexually assaulted by TSA agents, we also get raped by our government!

      • Christin

        Darlene,
It’s a “cash cow” for sure… just like they do with our so-called “Justice System” when police and dirty cops arrest people and put them in jail… bonds, fines, monthly probations costs, class fees, lawyer costs… cash cow.

      • JC

Yep! And when they feel we have been sufficiently pacified they will start doing it in Bus Staions, Train Stations on the street and eventually in your home…where no one can see…

      • Christin

        JC,
God’s watching and he isn’t happy with the evil that permiates our lives. He will rescue us from this ever present slavery we are in.

    • Darlene Jackson

      Surfs up, dude!:)

    • Luc

@ THINK ABOUT IT: Think about this … the scanners and pat downs DO NOTHING TO MAKE US SAFE!!! Its just SMOKE AND MIRRORS to lull you and anyone else who prefers to keep their head in the sand into a false sense of security as if the government really was doing something to protect us. If they REALLY wanted to protect us, they would do something about our borders in Arizona instead of FOOLISHLY SUING THEM for trying to protect themselves!!! The scanners DO NOT save lives when all a terrorist needs to do is mold a bomb to their body, which the scanner cannot detect. How does being patted down keep us safe when our wise and wonderful administration has made muslim women in their hijab exempt from being patted down or scanned? All the TSA agents can do with them is check their head covering. They could hide a TANK under that garment! Its the HYPOCRITICAL FARSE that’s so INFURIATING! That and people like you who are so quick to lay down your rights and swallow whatever the government wants to shove down your throats!

      • Christin

        Luc,
        Agreed.
Just another step to loss of FREEDOMS for natural-born AMERICAN citizens.

    • ValDM

Odumbo has certainly done quite enough. Let’s cut the crap and call what’s going on what it is: He is enabling Islamist nations to see just how far we will go to be granted our “safety”. Muslims would NEVER allow their women and children to be treated the way we are allowing our women and children to be treated with the screenings and pat-downs. We’re ripe for a take-over, and he’s just showing them how ripe we are. Think all this gaping and groping is alright? The go out right away and buy your prayer rug and join up at the nearest mosque.

  • Tazio2013

Must Read from today’s Daily Bell re Fascism/Socialism:

    http://www.thedailybell.com/1563/Tibor-Machan-The-Road-to-Fascism.html

  • Kinetic1

If only the Obama administration would quit relying on advise from the past administration. It was former Homeland Security Secretary Michael Chertoff who started pushing these things back in Dec. ’09, and I think he’s making a few bucks on the deal. One good thing about all this; at least now we know just how much people are willing to give up for “safety.” Wire taps, e-mail reviews, credit history, non of these things seemed to upset people when the “Patriot Act” was pushed through, but now that they’ve hired a team of erstwhile Supermen to use their x-ray vision on us, well that’s invasive!

    • Carole Howell

The U S military gave up on that technology in Iraq, they went back to using bomb sniffing dogs. They are more reliable and cost less than $9,000 as opposed to that technology that costs over $150,000. We are being ripped off.

      • http://eddie47d@gmail.com eddie47d

I don’t think anyone wants a bomb sniffing dog sticking it’s nose up our crotches. Most men and women who have been around dogs have experienced that.

      • Scott

I’ll take the dog’s nose over the hernia check any day. Plus, dogs won’t retain nude photos and circulate them to family and friends.

      • Denniso

I think people who have the strongest objections should consider driving, taking a train or not traveling. Those pictures are not exactly fine potography and it’s hard to imagine they could compete w/ the boundless pornography found all over the internet. Any airport screener who needs to look at the pics from the scanners is in desperate need of help.

Ben Crystal is blaming Obama for this invasive screening, but that’s more than suspect and most likely pure politics. The TSA is doing their best to protect people and the airlines from what would be a devastating blow to the airlines and the economy if a bomb goes off.

        So, drive instead.

      • Vicki

        Denniso writes:
“Ben Crystal is blaming Obama for this invasive screening, but that’s more than suspect and most likely pure politics.”

Silly of Ben to actually notice that Obama is currently thought to be the top dog in the administration. Unlike most liberals who continue to blame Bush et all.

Though it is interesting to note the number of et all that Obama kept around for his “change” :)

      • eddie47d

I see Vickie is blowing more smoke.

      • denniso

No President decides every issue in his administration…that’s why there are cabinet secretaries. Look at how Reagan and Shrub stayed out of most of the day to day running of their presidencies.

The Repubs are just continuing their stategy of bashing Obama over absoulutely everything possible,w/ the idea that some of it sticks and affects his approval rating. Dirty and cheap politics…

      • Brad

So, honestly, Deniso, if it were Bush in office you wouldn’t be saying the same things? When he was in office and even NOW when he’s NOT in office, everything is his fault. Yet we try to (correctly) place the blame on (the buck SHOULD stop here) Obama, and you pathetic Obama defenders go WAAHHHH.

      • Denniso

No, I wouldn’t be saying the same things…I gave Bush credit for bucking his party and pushing through the bailouts for the financial sector, even though the collapse began under him. I also have said that the crash isn’t all Bush’s fault…the libertarian Greenspan who is a follower of the joke Ayn Rand is probably more responsible and Democrats as well thought we had found a new model for capitalism that couldn’t fail.

It’s true that Bush is a simpleton and probably the worst prez ever, but he didn’t know enough about economics to understand what was going on.

      • CHIMPIMP

That is ridiculous. The bomb sniffing dog doesn’t even have to get that close to alert his/her handler if there is a bomb or firearms on the person.

      • Carole Howell

Well then keep those 150,000 dollars machines that are not reliable. Plus these dogs are trained only to go after bombs, not crotches, but of course if the bomb were there, they would find it. In Russia they found one in a bra.

      • Ret

They’re bomb sniffing dogs. They only sniff crotches that have bombs, not indiscriminate sniffing. They’re TRAINED, not some idiot’s out of control dog.

      • Launce Kramer

I would rather have a dog sniffing at my crotch than some pervert’s hands up there.

      • Carol

        AMEN!!!!!

      • Christin

“Our government has found out how much injustice Americans are willing to quietly accept, but it has yet to see what happens when we’ve had enough.”

        Author – Glenn Beck

      • Denniso

Is that ‘Glen Beck’,the airport security expert and terrorism consultant?

      • JC

No Denniso, that’s Glen Beck the “American”.
        I don`t expect you to understand…

      • denniso

Oh, now I see…Glen Beck the loudmouth, uneducated, untrained fool?

The laughing all the way to the bank while I con my viewers Glenn Beck…that guy who must be one of the least educated millionaire blabbers in the country?

      • JC

I told you that you wouldn’t understand. Are you completely hysterical ALL of the time or just when you show up here?

      • Denniso

Neither you nor Beck says anything that needs to be understood. Sorry…

      • Christin

To haters of Glenn Beck and other Progressives,

I think Glenn Beck’s quote from his book, Broke, was quite profound. So that you wouldn’t think I wrote it, I gave credit where credit was due.

He has done his homework and has many researchers paid by FOX and some more he’s hired and pays himself. There is so much to learn about the liberal/progressive/communists and their stifling of our Economy and Freedoms in America and world wide. He has even developed a new web site called: the Blaze.com. What is going on in our country with gov over-reaching into our lives and now looking and touching our private bodies (like those put in jail), forsaking innocence until proven guilty, and our bodies are the Temple of God where the Holy Spirit resides if one is born again in Christ Jesus as stated in the Bible.

But then those of you who are raising CAIN (you can read about what he did in the Bible), well, I wouldn’t expect you to understand. I am not posting to communicate with socially childish progressives… like you, but with reasonable, common sense, patriotic, Conservative, Constitutional Americans.

      • Denniso

With all due respect to the Bible, Glenn Beck is a charlatan and con man who is taking you for a long ride…long enough to make him millions. He was never a journalist and all he’s doing is trying to cash in on the Limbaugh crowd. Why do you need to follow a man who is telling you what to fear and hate?

      • Warrior

Would the dogs have to pay union dues? If not, I’m for them!

      • Smeethow

The handler might be union, but the dog works for food. And they do what the TSA should do. They profile the people. If you smell like a bomb they nail you, other wise they leave you alone. I’d trust the dog any day.

      • Shirley Jones

The substance sniffing trained dogs sound like the perfect replacement for the TSA “Handy-Person-Patters”! At least the dogs would not spread diseases because of not changing gloves and they would not be invasive to a person’s body, nor would they do embarrassing things to a person. They would just bark and sit as soon as the evidence was smelled on a person.

If we, as a country that was founded on Christianity would turn back to God, ask his forgiveness and live the way He directed us, we would not have to worry about all these terrorists! God would see that we are protected just like He protected the believers in the Bible.

    • SSGDave

Wow-that sounded like “Blame Bush” all over again-is there Nothing Liberals won’t do to try NOT to accept blame? They Widened the Problem, INCREASED the “Pat Down” to include Unprofessional behavior-and all you can do is say “Blame Bush”? You whiners need to feel free to Accept the blame, once and for ALL!

      • Bob Wire

yea and like when has the conservatives stood up and taken any responsibility for anything ? Name a few things to offer truth that they do!! ~ ?????

“Mission accomplished”?? “Read my lips?” , lower taxes creates jobs?

Iranians are going to throw flowers? ~! It will be over in 3 months?

They’ve holding WMD’s? Water boarding is not torture? 4000 dead Gi and no Osama ~but we seen him hiding in Bora Bora mountains and let him up during mail call. Rubber stamp AG office, inert SEC, Enron Buddies,
Bernnie Madoff ~ and there is no such thing as insider trading going on. These are all isolated cases of one or two people that got sticky fingers for Years and years ! and all Wall Street Banks and Senators are just “shocked!

Please ! by all mean ~~ lead the way to this notion of GOP “responsibility” !

      • Carole Howell

        Bob,
You missed ‘It will all be paid for by Iraqi oil.’

Well, as I have said before, it really does not matter today who sits in the WH now does it?

Obama, keeps a lot of Bush’s team, follows right along with extending the Patriot Act and if you read it you realize you have very little rights left at all. You are at the mercy of the President now. That seems like we have almost a dictatorship.

Yeah! Bob, how many times have we heard the Bush team blame Clinton, Oh! the Clinton people did not tell us about any terrorist threats LIE. Oh! the Clinton people removed all the ‘Ws’ from the keyboards LIE! Well, the deregulation started on Clinton’s watch, True, now that is true, but the deregulation that did the most damage was done under Bush. Those are facts that cannot be denied and they were done before the democrats took over.

See! it matters not who sits in the WH. We will get screwed as long as people can buy our politicians.

      • http://MozzelaFirefox Jo

You need to find out who’s pulling the strings of our elected officials and do something about them. We need to find out who the shadow government is and dismantle it. I would start with the Council on Foreign Relations and the Federal Reserve Bank.

Carole: In case you haven’t noticed, Obama has already established his “dictatorship;” you saw that when he dissed John McCain, who had offerred a valid suggestion on Obamacare, that “I won the election,” then ignored the suggestion and went back to his democratic puppet. Obama wants to be the last elected President and the first dictator of the United States. If he gets his way, we may as well change the name of our country to the United States of Communist America…nuff said?

      • Bob Wire

all valid points Carole! it’s the blind ones I address, that wish to play nanny nanny poo poo games.

I’m very disappointed with some things by all players myself.

I don’t trust my well being as a American to HLS. The opportunity for abuse is just too great.

This political blind bias is just overwhelming at times and has the mentality of a tractor pull crowd. And don’t get me wrong, I love a good tractor as much as anyone. But it’s not all about power and force but the application of power and force.

Overkill is wasteful and a crime to continually to pursue knowing resources hard fought for and came at a great price.

Reagan was a wonderful man and president, he achieved many things but many things were also broken and many still suffer from it to this very day.

Andrew Jackson was a wonder President and all American own him thanks ~ accept the native American and I can’t blame them one bit! To them, he was an evil curse, a scourge on the land.

He secured the North America’s, finally free of Britain. He secured a monetary economy policy. ~ He was a democrat that believe in everyone living inside their means and paying their way, He sold federal Land and gave America a zero national debt. He fought entrenched power in high places and won.

But the Tail of Tears prevents me from “over honoring” him and brings us great shame in spite of all the good he did for the nation. We could be more proud of America today without the “Trail of Tears” around our necks.

It’s just a fact ! The man was a ass and a bigot. A man with a huge ego and purpose for the working white man.

accept the truth! 43 liked to play the big shot and was a baby kissing, press the flesh man, a spoiled, pretty ,rich man son, knowing very little about the true nature of hard work, leadership and possessed few winning qualities of his own. He couldn’t build a winning ball team, he failed to complete his military obligation in stellar fashion like most men that receive Honorable Discharges as he was a rich man son and had a history of half hearted failures to his credit long before he became Command and Chief of most powerful nation the world has ever known.

It gives me chill bumps to think about it.

      • Bob Wire

“Carole: In case you haven’t noticed, Obama has already established his “dictatorship;” you saw that when he dissed John McCain, who had offerred a valid suggestion on Obamacare, that “I won the election,” then ignored the suggestion and went back to his democratic puppet. ”

I remember that as well, Burt unlike you I remember McCain as lobbying and not suggesting a darn thing. And “O” did shut him down, it was a smack down as “O” set the tenor of the meeting and took the leading position as a mandate afford him so.

Let me see if I can put that up ~~ hold on.

“Most memorable was a brief argument between Obama and Sen. John McCain, his Republican rival in the 2008 presidential campaign. Obama scolded McCain after the Arizona senator spent several minutes complaining that the health reform process has not been transparent and suggesting that the “change” they both campaigned on has not been realized in Washington.

“Let me just make this point, John, because we’re not campaigning anymore,” Obama said. “The election’s over.”

McCain said he was well aware of that fact.

        Read more: http://www.foxnews.com/politics/2010/02/26/obama-shows-testy-health-care-summit#ixzz16n6PuGbB

Perhaps, McCain’s “suggestions” could have been better developed. As he was now speaking to the Command and Chief, not a dictator as you state but the first chair position. And as 43 stated so clearly reminded Chaney, “I’m the Decider” ~~ it comes with the title and demands special respect ~ regardless who the president is.

I wish I could find what Mc Cain said verbatim but I remember it being short in development and long in whine, taking away the constructiveness of the met.

      • Karolyn

We are so far away from a dictatorship it isn’t even funny!

      • Kate8

Karolyn – Didn’t you say that you are from Russia or something?

Obviously, you don’t really understand the concept of freedom that our founders intended. We are so far from that now as to make those great men weep.

      • Al Sieber

Karoyln, you’re so far removed from reality it shows me you no nothing about history or the Constitution. we’re already in soft tyranny.

      • T.F.

Through 8 years of Bush I don’t recall a single time he blamed the previous administration, or anyone for that matter. Now, he may have somewhere, but I never saw it or heard it. He allowed all blame to fall on him regardless if it was his fault or not (usually not), “the buck stops here” so to speak. Noone is perfect. I don’t agree with everything Bush did in office, I feel he became too progressive at the end, but his time in office contained way more class. Unlike the Clintons, he didn’t vandalize the white house and all the equipment tax payers paid for when he left. Unlike the Obama’s, he didn’t have a backing of people who thought it was ok to be embarrassingly disrespectful at the official change over. I have never been so embarrased for my country as I did on that day. He has since continued to embarass this country. At least he’s consistent!

      • http://eddie47d@gmail.com eddie47d

That is because Bush had Cheney and they always played good cop,bad cop. They blamed Clinton plenty and so do alot of folks on this sight. I think it’s time for the Republicans to “man up” and accept the fact that they are just as ornery as those they accuse.

      • Bob Wire

well, they wasn’t left an “Arm pit” for one thing.

and there was a few instances of digging up bones if you stop and recall.

But all and all the general consensus of many Americans in 2005 was everything was peachy, only God and Christmas was under attack.

      • HFlashman

Oh gawd…Bush blamed everyone but his administration. He never “man’d up” to anything. Even when he showed his true colors and hid on 9/11-9/12….it wasn’t his fault he turned yellow in time of crisis.

        Jeesh …

      • Kinetic1

Come on, T.F. The claims that the Clinton administration vandalized “the white house and all the equipment” has long been debunked. As for Dubbya taking responsability, have you forgotten this?

“…at one of George Bush’s rare press conferences, he was asked by a reporter to fess up to a mistake he’d made since September 11. He grunted and groaned. “I wish you’d have given me this written question ahead of time so I could plan for it,” Bush chuckled. After assuring the reporter that “something will pop into my head,” he finally gave up, admitting, “I’m not as quick on my feet as I should be in coming up with one.”

Funny thing is, most Americans could have answered that question without a pause.

      • Pixie

Drop the anger towards your fellow Americans. United we stand – divided we fall.

      • JC

No problem. As soon as we have eradicated all communist thinking in the USSA, we will be united once again. :)

      • Mack

        Dear oh so OBVIOUS LIBERAL!

You like most Liberals are so consumed with blaming the GOP, you fail to acknowlege your obvious hyperkinetic hypocracy! I am so glad you communists are not in the White House, oops my mistake you have 24 months left in the White House, IF your Commie Crony doesn’t get impeached, & kicked out before then! REAL AMERICANS are tired you Commies trying to give, sell, trade away our FREEDOM!

      • Kinetic1

        Mack,
“Real Americans”? It amazes me how people on the far right have co-opted the name “American.” Your “historians” re-write history to make our leaders the type of Christians you want them to be. Your politicians claim to know the one and only “true” interpretation of the Constitution. Your TV personalities and religious leaders tell us all the right way to think, the right way to see history, the right way to “be”. “True Americans” only believe what you believe, lead a life like yours, pray in the same churches as yours and share the same morals as yours. What would we do without you to tell us who is a “Real American” and who is a “commie”?

      • HFlashman

Well SSg Dave… where did you stand when Bush Ii and his gang of thieves came out with the unpatriotic Act, the Homeland Security concept, Gitmo and making torture an offically snactioned part of US policy, trashing the Consttution, selling us out to the Arab shiekdoms (kissing them? I mean…subservient or what?), piling up the debt onto the People and the states, stealing us blind, monitoring our communication, making hard cash all ut useless and calling a “terror alert” whenever there was a poitical crisis they wanted to divert attention from?

Fact is…these methods used by TSA today were begun prior to this administration. I’m not saying they are correct … I was against them in the beginning, against them now. As were most people other than the brainwashed robots of the Right.

The difference today, the difference which has the Rght screaming….the ONLY reason the Right now screams, is that the “free pass’ given in the past to the wealthy and elite is no longer given. There are no ‘special’ lines for the elite. Everyone is subject to this screening. And because they now have to go through what the people have to go through…it’s now an huge issue.

This author is now ramping up the propaganda because he is now subject to these searches. Do you really think Crystal would write about this as a problem if he wasn’t subjected to it…if it were business as susual per Bush II giving the elite and the “in-crowd” of the Right a pass? If you think it woud be…you are a fool. and a likely candidate for their lies and mistruths and hyperbole overblowing issues drawing your attention away from their misdeeds and theiving ways.

Let me throw this line back at you and see what your response is…remember this line? ” We haven’t had a terrorist attack on this the procedures. What’s the problem with a little inconvenience?”

Precedent was set by your acquiesence to Bush II trampling over us. The difference is…under this administration, we’re allowed to be heard and our opinions matter. It IS a controversy because this administration, and the Moderates and the Liberals, don’t stifle the people’s speech…unlike the Right when they have power.

      • Luc

Regardless of whom you want to blame, its innocent American citizens who are having to undergo the humiliation and violation of our rights. The “elite” (i.e. Obama, Napolitano, Pistole, Pelosi, Reid, Clinton and the rest) are STILL exempt and LAUGHING at the rest of us fools who have to put up with it! Regardless of how or when it started, we need something done about it NOW! The current administration is in a position to do something about it NOW, but will they? Will your beloved progressive/liberal/democrats MAN UP and show some CHARACTER and INTEGRITY and RESPECT??? I think we ALL know the answer to that one … when hell freezes over!

      • richard handwerk

the real issue is that this does not work. the system israel uses does. why then are we implementing it? garnering a civil army? unionizing them? the cost of machines. making the american people give up more of their rights. never let a crisis go to waste!

      • modern martyr

the real issue is that this does not work. the system israel uses does. why then are we implementing it? garnering a civil army? unionizing them? the cost of machines. making the american people give up more of their rights. never let a crisis go to waste!

      • Kate8

I think we should demand that all of them (Reid, Pelosi, etc.) be through scanners and pat-downs. They can be patronizing to us because they are exempt.

Can’t you just see Pelosi undergoing a pat-down? How about the guy viewing the scanner-screen? I want to see Obama and Michelle get patted down, too. Then I’d, maybe, hear what they have to say.

Oh, much to humiliating for the likes of them. They are above the rest of us cattle. Because foisting on us things they won’t do themselves suggests, loudly, how they view us.

      • Kinetic1

Richard or Modern or whoever you are,
I wish it were so simple. I looked into Israel’s system and while it does work for them, they have a much smaller public to deal with. I’m not saying I support the scanners or the pat downs, only that we can’t expect the same results the Israelis get. Truth be told, we’ve stopped most attempts, either on the ground or in the air, and most terrorists get on in other countries, so the Israeli system might be enough. The question is, what are you willing to risk? I don’t fly often, so maybe I’m willing to accept a more conservative pat down. I’m not too keen on being irradiated. I’m also not that worried about being on “that one plane.”

Face it, no matter how much security screening is done, one surface to air weapon will do you in. America has become so afraid of another 9/11 that we have bankrupted ourselves to fight wars, tighten security and create new “departments” to keep us safe. We’ve increased the cost of travel and business by slowing the boarding process to a crawl. The armies of nations have done less to affect our lives than a hand full of terrorists, and all they need to do is keep us afraid.

      • Kinetic1

        Kate8,
It’s easy to point fingers and call people names, but why should they go through pat downs? These are our nation’s leaders and they are flying on our nation’s own fleet. What are the chances that they would be terrorists? I admit that I would prefer to have my own jet to fly me where I want to go. No lines, little chance of a terrorist getting on board, but that’s not reality. We have to fly with the Airlines, and that comes with some risk. I just don’t believe that the threat is everything that it has ben made out to be, however I’d hate to be the President who pulls the plug on these extreme measures facing the media after an in-flight bombing.

      • Carole Howell

        Jo,
Up above said we need to find out who is pulling the strings. She is so right.

If Obama was a dictator when he called the big wigs from the Pentagon in to tell them he wanted and exit plan for Afghanistan, the Pentagon would have answered “Right away Sir” saluted him and got right on it. But instead they said no. Obama argued and said he did not want to commit untold Trillions to that war, and they still said no. So not only is he not a true dictator, he is not even regarded as Commander in Chief a power given to him by our constitution. So he is a puppet.

I agree the health care plan is a flop, an even bigger give away to big Pharma and the ‘health care for profit’ insurance companies than Bush’s plan that privatized Medical and Medicaid that caused those costs to Sky Rocket immediately and did not improve a damn thing, only made matters worse all around. It is nothing like he seemed to want on the campaign trail, but everything like what Hillary wanted.???

We are screwed again. Screwed first by Bush and screwed again by Obama.

      • http://Alaska Wild Bill

Carol,If you want to know who is “pulling the strings”,have a good Marine sniper place a .50 calibre bullet between the eyes of George Soros and see how quick all the bad things happening to America stop.
        Wild Bill
        Alaska

      • Karolyn

I seem to recall the same things being said about Cheney.

      • Christin

        You are right Wild Bill.

Geroge Soros, his Open Society, and many poisonous tenticles (groups he puts millions of dollars into to do his bidding..NPR…) are behind every thing bad happening in America. He has said in his own words that he is orchestrating a “managed collaspe of our dollar” and is trying to get “foreign voices” in here because of our balance of power in the Constitution and push us to NWO… in his own words. Soros dreams of being a god and ruling the world.

TSA is assaulting everyone who is going through the enhanced pat down… like they are in prison/jail. The radiation scanners don’t even pick up powder bombs… and are failable, expensive and bad people are making money on them. And now they are going to fine and detain you if you refuse this treatment… enough is enough, America!

        Solution:
1.) Hire (retired) returning military to use the bomb sniffing dogs in and around the airports. They would be great and then EVERYONE would be sniffed… including the muslims (who are the terrorists) who are not getting patdowns because of their religion. [By the way my faith does not allow for sexual assaults either.]

2.) Let people still go through the metal detectors as before.

3.) Hire the (retired) returning military to do questioning of flyers who fit the profile: flying one way, paying cash, flying alone, male between 20 – 30, foreigner coming from Middle East and Africa, no luggage, on no fly list….

This is what Isreal does and a country in Europe uses dogs. We need to be smart and speak as one AMERICAN voice and not allow the loss of our freedoms in the false name of security by this wicked gov’t.

We did some traveling over the Thanksgiving week and there were tons of cars on the road, more than usual… I told my spouse no one wants to fly and get assaulted by gov TSA. The airlines will loose income, go broke, and then get a bail out… courtesy of your tax dollars… and the gov’t will own them, too,… National Capitalism (China)… so great, huh?

      • Bob

Where do I begin? 1st, the Patriot Act was legislation. Please report back how many democrats voted for it. Next,What EXACTLY in the Patriot Act do you disagree with? 3rd, why is it not possible that Crystal objects to the TSA screening because it’s simply absurd like the many, many thousands of citizens? 4th- How do you compare warrantless wiretaps on phone calls originating from out of the country to children being fondled? Why are you ok with obvious non-threatening citizens being subjected to absolute invasions of privacy to the obvious solution of profiling? As far as respect for the office, I lost it when Bubba waved his finger at the citizenry and lied and perjured himself. Last, please research when Bush blamed Clinton for the recession he inherited. Oh, then 9/11 (Clinton and staff couldn’t pull the trigger on Osama), and finally Katrina. The economy was fine till ’07, then the Fannie Mae, Freddie crap hit the fan. WHO regulated the banking/commerce when that went down? )see Frank["there's no crisis at Fannie Mae"] and Dodd). Your selective recall, revisionist history and partisan-driven interpretation of facts and events is typical of pseudo-intellectual liberals as yoourself.

      • Brad

Good reply, Bob. Unfortunately, it’s probably ineffective because in dealing with a lib, you committed the #1 faux pax…you used facts. ;)

Why shouldn’t we Blame Bush for the problems he caused? Just because Obama has not been successful at solving the problem yet does not mean that the blame somehow magically transfers to him!

We all know that the TERRORISTS are really to blame here, so continuing this banter about how much we hate Obama only serves to provide the TERRORISTS aid and comfort.

      • Carole Howell

        WInks
And it is very distracting and very dividing. A house divided will fall.

      • Bob

Have you not heard of Congress? Conservatives do not just blame the POTUS, we also blame the Senate and House and we turn out to expel them office. Liberals blame Bush for EVERYTHING that goes all wrong and their elected representaives are blameless. Know you nothing of the checks and balances system where Congress holds the pursestrings? When the ’08 elections put the dems in power in Congress, that’s when the economy went downhill. How amny democrats voted for the Patriot Act? How many democrats voted for the Patriot Act? Answer the question!!!!!! Why do libs hold Bush responsible but NOT the Dems who voted for it? Well, I’m waiting…….

      • William

Actually, about economy – Under Clinton everything was great, budget surplus, unemployment under 5%, gas price under 2 bucks. What Bus administration was doing – lower taxes, mostly for reach, especially
taxes on dividends, practically kill taxes on money, brought from outside borders, etc. Also made some changes on Bank system, allowing banks to made all this loans, that actually created financial crisis.
Then billions bailouts to banks. All of this CREATED that crisis that Obama had to handle. For less then two years crisis progress first slowed down then revered. We are talking now about recovery.
Blame Obama for economy is stupid. And I did not mention a word about politics.

      • Kinetic1

        Bob,
I Do hold Dems responsible for voting for the Patriot Act. I know many were just too cowardly to stand up to the media and say that they are all for security, but not at this cost. I have contacted many of them and pleaded with them not to vote to re-up the legislation, but I’m only one person.

As for Bush, read again what I have said. I blame Bush for the war in Iraq, and for the appointments he made. I blame his ADMINISTRATION for much more. You can always say that blaming one is the same as blaming the other, but that’s not always the case. The president can’t hold the hands of everyone who works for him. He chooses them based on what he expects they will do, so I can always blame him for bad judgement, but not directly for their actions, unless he approved them first. So water boarding is all Bush. Katrina, not so much Bush as “Brownie” and Chertoff.

      • JC

Au Contraire Mr. Winks…the Kenyan has been very successful…at everything he has set out to do … in order to bring down America.

      • JC

Here we go again with the useless mental masturbation of the “left / right blame game”. Fact is boys and girls it’s both sides. The Bush Criminal Clan and the Kenyan One Worlder’s are equally as Cancer to a free nation.
Time to clean house in a serious, decisive and permanent way.
        Back to the Constitution!

      • WInks

JC, Last I checked, the Constitution provides that the person who receives the most electoral votes in a presidential election is the Ppresident, not a “Kenyan One Worlder.” Perhaps you should show some respect.

      • JC

I will never accept the Kenyan as my President. He refuses to come clean about his background which tells me he has much to hide.
He is an imposter and a fraud who’s most notable qualifications for political office are “Community Organizer”….a Communist.
        May he rot.

      • WInks

JC, you are spewing lies. The Supreme Court just ruled AGAIN on this birth certificate issue. Obama was born in Hawaii. His mother’s passport even shows that she was in the US at the time of his birth, and most babies need to be born in the same country as their mom – you know, the whole umbilical cord thing? What proof would satisfy you? And a communist…please. I guess state Senator and Federal Senator are not qualifications? Better a part time governor who can’t finish a term?? You need a civics class.

      • Snitch-In-Time

Wlnk again shows why idiot leftists cannot and should not be taken seriously. The Constitution (A document Wlnk is either too lazy to read or more likely too stupid to understand) also sets age and citizenship requirements for the office. If Wlink cannot get these basic constitutional requirements straight he really need to sit down and shut up since he is spewing left wing playbook idiocy and not contributing substance to the discussion of the day.

Now let’s address the “respect” gap. We could offer as much respect for the Corrupt Despot as the left offers to any president more conservative than Joseph Stalin but if we did so we would get unwanted attention from the despotism. (Remember the “Snipers Wanted” incident where some commie-lib in the media put those words over Bush’s picture? Anyone who tried that with the Corrupt Kenyan Despot would be arrested.) The very idea that the loony-left is now using facile “love it or leave it” and “respect the president” arguments is the zenith of both imbecility and hypocrisy. I take nothing the loony left say seriously as adding to the discussion but consider it prima facia evidence of the left’s wicked, traitorous and tyrannical impulses.

      • JC

Well Winks…they convinced YOU anyway. LOL
        The guy is an imposter.

      • http://eddie47d@gmail.com eddie47d

The loony right is coming across loud and clear and is outpacing the loony left by a long shot! I don’t think any President now and in the future will be getting much respect. The lines have been drawn with all the venomous hatred and the slander will continue no matter who gets elected.

      • JC

Oh come on eddie…as always you “have” to speak in EXTREMES.
Why are you so unable to see that even the mainstream is sick to death of business as usual? And we are. We’ve been lied to and manipulated by both sides for so long now that having any respect for the system as we know it, has to mean you’ve been living in a bubble.
I don`t take sides here in the sense that America isn`t America anymore and no amount of finger pointing is going to change that.
It`s time to clean house on both sides of the aisle. It`s time to get corporations out of government and governbment out of corporations.
It`s time we stopped paying half the planet to be our friends. It`s time we reassert our sovereignty as a nation and as individuals.

      • http://Ranger2 Ranger W W 2

SSGDave, you think it’s only the liberals that blame Bush? Until his second term I was a Republican conservative, you can say that I’m a slow learner, I should have learned from his daddy when he was President, where he stated, “Out of these troubled times, our fifth objective-a New World Order-can emerge..We are now in sight of a United
Nations that performs as “envisioned”by it’s founders.”What Alger Hiss
and the communist “founders envisioned”was the end of the independence
of the United States. I remember young Bush telling his aide,”to stop
shoving the Constitution in my face, it’s just a G–D–piece of paper.
I’m slow, but even at 86 you can keep learning.

      • Carole Howell

        Ranger W W 2,

Good for you. And I am sure you will agree until we get publicly financed elections, we will continue to have immense problems. You are right the GOP ain’t what she used to be, but neither are the Democrats. It is very disappointing.

      • http://none Mike

Ranger, Thank you for your service. And I might add this. If more people listend to the wisdoms of your generation we might all be better off today. What our goverment has become over the last 10 years is a shadow of what it once was.We now write laws that even the writers dont understand. The blame us first mentality has creeped into both sides of the isle. We no longer have statesmen we have the politburio. We either have to agree with them or we are un-american(both sides have used this line)We no longer have debates but shouting contest. Both sides of the isle have for sale(for hire)signs up and hands out.No its high time for a housecleaning in both parties. Lets get some statesmen back in washington. Not finger in the wind what is this going to do for my re=election bid politicans. Mike L.

      • Kinetic1

        SSGDave,
        I didn’t say “blame Bush”, I said quit listening to his advisors. After all, Chertoff was Bush’s head of Homeland Security, and was responsible for many of the procedures we suffer through today. I also pointed out that Mr. Chertoff, as head of the Chertoff Group stands to make a few bucks off the scanners he so whole heartedly recommends. Chertoff is also on the board of a company called CLEAR, and as the Denver Westword reports;

“Billing itself as the “original Registered Traveler program,” CLEAR uses a biometric-based secure ID procedure — it scans its members eyeballs and records fingerprints — to get passengers through the initial document check. After that, they still must go through TSA security — which, increasingly, includes the full-body scan Chertoff has touted for years.

And Chertoff, who also runs Chertoff Group, a security consulting agency, has come under fire for representing a company that makes the machines responsible for executing the full-body scans he recommends. Scans that you’ll still be subject to, even if you pay $179 for a CLEAR membership.”

Sounds like a reputable guy, right? So, am I blaming Bush for giving us these scanners? No. Did I imply that his administration just keeps on giving? Oh yeah! Sort of like Herpes.

So, Bush is still pulling the strings. Why that explains everything.

      • Kinetic1

        Warrior,
If you read with bias, you perceive bias. I said NOTHING about Bush pulling the strings. Truth is, given his failures in the private world, don’t think he knows how to pull the strings. What I’m saying is that the people he put in positions of authority are not people we want to ask for advise. They don’t need Bush to tell them what bad advice to give, they’re “experts” in their fields. But you just keep running with that old “Liberals blame Bush for everything” bit if it makes you feel like one of the gang.

      • Michael J.

        Kinetic1,
Bush used the Patriot Act to fight foreign terrorist, Obama has turned the Patriot Act inwards to focus on our own citizenry.

The following is not the Department of Homeland Security nor the Patriot Act that George W. Bush had envisioned, but is instead a textbook example of the fundamental transformation of a plan to secure the homeland and prevent future acts of foreign terrorism by one president, into a plot to demonize returning war veterans and flag waving American patriots by his successor.

First, the Secretary of Homeland Security, Janet Napolitano, ordered ICE (Immigration & Customs Enforcement) to stop workplace raids. Raids which located, identified and deported illegal aliens and provided operational intelligance which helped indentify the “trafficking” routes used by those who transport not just illegal aliens, but sex slaves, drugs, weapons and potential terrorists into the United States.

Then the good Secretary and the Obama Administration announced a change in the samantics of Obama Government Speak. The term “War on Terror” was abandoned for the term “Over Seas Contingency Operation”. In fact, Administration employees were instructed to discontinue using the terms “terror” or “terrorists” in public. This would appear to be just a matter of semantics, until now. Apparently the use of the term “Terror” and “terrorists” is being reserved for use in conjunction with “Right Wing Extremist”. A “Right Wing Extremist” is anyone who served in the US Military, believes in gun ownership rights, opposes abortion, opposes NAFTA or illegal immigration or believes in many of the other ‘Freedoms” guaranteed by the Constitution. Particluarly offensive is the continued reference to those that oppose abortion as being “White Supremacists”. In Napolitano’s world, if you believe “smaller government” is better than “bigger government” you are a right wing extremists.

A new report from Secretary Napolitano categorizes returning Military Veterans and those individuals that are proponents of “States Rights” or those that oppose the growth of the Federal Government as “Right Wing Extremists”.

As to Veternas and the Constitutional Right to bare arms the report also states, “The possible passage of new restrictions on firearms and the return of military veterans facing significant challenges reintegrating into their communities could lead to the potential emergence of terrorist groups or lone wolf extremists capable of carrying out violent attacks.”

The Secretary of Homeland Security believes it is OK to cast this type of aspersion on the reputation of thoses that have sacrifriced for our Country. The defamation of returning American Service Personnel in this manner clearly exposes the disdain both Napolitano and the Obama Administration hold for our Troops. The Obama Adminstrationm also proposed having the Troops pay for their service related medical care with private insurance. This is just another off-shoot of the liberal anti-military philosophy so common in the 1970s.

Next the report states, “Returning veterans possess combat skills and experience that are attractive to rightwing extremists. DHS/I&A is concerned that rightwing extremists will attempt to recruit and radicalize returning veterans in order to
        boost their violent capabilities.”

The report goes on to say, “Disgruntled Military Veterans: assesses that rightwing extremists will attempt to recruit and
radicalize returning veterans in order to exploit their skills and knowledge derived from military training and combat. These skills and knowledge have the potential to boost the capabilities of extremists—including lone wolves or small terrorist cells—to carry out violence. The willingness of a small percentage of military personnel to join extremist groups during the 1990s because they were disgruntled, disillusioned, or suffering from the psychological effects of war is being replicated today.” “After Operation Desert Shield/Storm in 1990-1991, some returning military veterans—including Timothy McVeigh—joined or associated with rightwing extremist groups.”

“A prominent civil rights organization reported in 2006 that “large numbers of potentially violent neo-Nazis, skinheads, and other white supremacists are now learning the art of warfare in the [U.S.] armed forces.” What Civil Rights organization? ACORN?

Where is the proof? How dare Napolitano compare all US Mititary personnel to McVeigh.

Next the report turns to a favorite target of the “Left Wing Extremists” like Napolitano, legal gun ownership, when the report states, “Proposed imposition of firearms restrictions and weapons bans likely would attract new members into the ranks of rightwing extremist groups, as well as potentially spur some of them to begin planning and training for violence against the government. The high volume of purchases and stockpiling of weapons and ammunition by rightwing extremists in anticipation of restrictions and bans in some parts of the country continue to be a primary concern to law enforcement.” What law enforcement orgainzations are those? My local Sheriffs Department encourages citizens to legally own and register weapons.

Is Secretary Napolitano a facist. The Supreme Court of the United states has reconfirmed the right of Americans to own firearms.

“a number of economic and political factors are driving a resurgence in rightwing extremist recruitment and radicalization activity” …. “the threat posed by lone wolves and small terrorist cells is more pronounced than in past years.”

Is my local VFW meeting a “terrorist cell”? There are a lot of highly trained people in attendance, most own guns, slightly fewer attend church than own guns, I’d bet at least half oppose abortion. They all seem to be in favor of enforcing the immigration laws that are on the books. Somebody better call Homeland Security.

“Rightwing extremist chatter on the Internet continues to focus on the economy, the perceived loss of U.S. jobs in the manufacturing and construction sectors and home foreclosures.”

Oh my gosh, what does “perceived loss of U.S. jobs” mean. Isn’t the unemployment rate a shade below 10%. My liberal democratic friends are talking about the economy too ….. and how they will vote next time around now that Obama’s “plans” didn’t work ….. are these long time Democrats on the verge of becoming “right wing extremists”.

“Many rightwing extremists are antagonistic toward the current presidential administration and its perceived stance on a range of issues, including immigration and citizenship, the expansion of social programs to minorities, and restrictions on firearms ownership and use.”

Apparently, anyone who has a different point of view than the Administration is an “extremist”.

Nazi Germany and the Gestapo come to mind …..

“Paralleling the current national climate, rightwing extremists during the 1990s exploited a variety of social issues and political themes to increase group visibility and recruit new members. Prominent among these themes were the militia movement’s opposition to gun control efforts, criticism of free trade agreements (particularly those with Mexico), and highlighting perceived government infringement on civil liberties as well as white supremacists’ longstanding exploitation of social issues such as abortion“.

Can you believe this, if you oppose unconsitutional gun control laws, if you are critical of NAFTA, if you are in favor of civil liberties, you are a “Right Wing Extremist”. If you are Pro-Life you are not only an extremist but a “white supremacist” as well. Wow, if you happen to be a Black Christian who opposes abortion, you now qualify as a “White Supremacist”. Only in America as scene through the eyes of the Obama Administration.

“Historically, domestic rightwing extremists have feared, predicted, and anticipated a cataclysmic economic collapse in the United States” … “These teachings also have been linked with the radicalization of domestic extremist individuals and groups in the past, such as violent Christian Identity organizations and extremist members of the militia movement.”

Wow, if you warn that historical precedent indicates that the Obama Economic Recovery plan will fail, if you warned that the Housing Bubble, like the inetrnet bubble, would “pop”, you are an extremist and this qualifies you to become a member of a “violent Christian Identity organization” like the Klu-Klux-Klan. Never mind that thousands of Economists oppose the Obama Plans on non ideologic grounds, the plan is simply bad economics – but now those Economists are hateful, Right Wing Extremists who are on the verge of becoming domestic terrorists.

“Over the past five years, various rightwing extremists, including militias and white supremacists, have adopted the immigration issue as a call to action, rallying point, and recruiting tool. Debates over appropriate immigration levels and enforcement policy generally fall within the realm of protected political speech under the First Amendment, but in some cases, anti-immigration or strident pro-enforcement fervor has been directed against specific groups and has the potential to turn violent.”

Wow, now law abiding American Citizens who call for the enforcement of existing immigration laws are “extremists” and “white supremacists”. Hispanic members of my Community and Church who share my views on immigration will be shocked by this claim. Are we about to become violent, Right Wing Extremists, who will act violently to promote White Supremacy. Terrorists one and all. Gee and I forgot, many of us are Pro-Life too. Call out the National Guard – oopps – I suppose we have to watch the Guard too.

“Many rightwing extremist groups perceive recent gun control legislation as a threat to their right to bare arms and in response have increased weapons and ammunition stockpiling, as well as renewed participation in paramilitary training exercises.”

Exactly what gun control legislation are they talking about? This is simply left wing paranoia. Public support for additional gun control measures is at it lowest levels in 50 years. At present, 66% of the country opposes proposed bans on hand gun ownership. Gee, this makes for a lot of potential terrorists doesn’t it.

Freedom of Speech, Freedom of Belief, Freedom of Religion, Freedom to Bare Arms, is this the mantra of new “Terroistist”, is this the new “Terrorism” Homeland Security is guarding against.

“When governments fear the people there is liberty. When the people fear the government there is tyranny.” Thomas Jefferson. “The Constitution shall never be construed to authorize Congress to prevent the people of the United States, who are peaceable citizens, from keeping their own arms.” Samuel Adams

House Republican Leader John Boehner issued this statement, “Washington, Apr 15 – House Republican Leader John Boehner (R-OH) issued the following statement on a Department of Homeland Security report that characterizes veterans returning home from Iraq and Afghanistan as vulnerable for recruitment into “terrorist groups”:“To characterize men and women returning home after defending our country as potential terrorists is offensive and unacceptable. The Department of Homeland Security owes our veterans an apology.“Furthermore, the Secretary of Homeland Security owes the American people an explanation for why she has abandoned using the term ‘terrorist’ to describe those, such as al Qaeda, who are plotting overseas to kill innocent Americans, while her own Department is using the same term to describe American citizens who disagree with the direction Washington Democrats are taking our nation. Everyone agrees that the Department should be focused on protecting America, but using such broad-based generalizations about the American people is simply outrageous.”

It is clear to me that Bush’s idea of homeland security via the Patriot Act, and Obama’s version are as different as apples and oranges.

      • Kinetic1

I’d reply to your post piece by piece, but it’s just too darn rambling. I get it though, you think Obama is out to get us and Bush was out to save us. You present a report by the Secretary of Homeland Security as “proof” of your assertion. Well, here’s a little dose of reality to help you sleep.

from a 2005 article about the Patriot act.

“Senate Judiciary Chairman Arlen Specter, R-Pa., announced that the negotiating committee had reached an agreement that would extend for four years two of the Patriot Act’s most controversial provisions — authorizing roving wiretaps and permitting secret warrants for books, records and other items from businesses, hospitals and organizations such as libraries. ”

Yep, Bush only concerned himself with terrorists.

“Also to be extended for four years are standards for monitoring “lone wolf” terrorists who may be operating independent of a foreign agent or power. While not part of the Patriot Act, officials considered that along with the Patriot Act provisions.”

What’s this? “Lone Wolfs”? No, that’s an Obama thing.

“Remember, section 802 is specifically aimed at US citizens and announces any crime as “domestic terrorism”. Citizens can be held without a trial as “Enemy Combatants”. Let us recap just some of the horror stories that misuse of the Patriot Act has produced, As you will see these are not isolated incidents, this is common practice.

Homeland Security Agents Visit Toy Store

When Homeland Security agents arrived at the Pufferbelly Toys store, the lead agent asked owner Stephanie Cox whether she carried a toy called the Magic Cube, which he said was an illegal copy of the Rubik’s Cube, one of the most popular toys of all time. Invoking the Patriot Act, he told her to remove the Magic Cube from her shelves, and he watched to make sure she complied.

Patriot Act Being Used to Harass BlackBoxVoting.org website

Activist Bev Harris was told not to reveal to anyone the fact that she and her website were being investigated under the Patriot Act. It is illegal for a government agency to go in and demand the list of all the members of a group. And you can’t investigate leaks to journalists by going in and grabbing the reporter’s computer.

        Secret Service Questions Students

Two students who were interrogated by the Secret Service following remarks the teenagers made about the President during a class discussion. The discussion was about the war in Iraq and while the exact wording is up for debate, the teacher didn’t consider it mere criticism, but a direct threat and she called the Secret Service.

Using The Patriot Act To Target Patriots

The Patriot Act has been used to obtain search warrants against doctors and scientists who had been warning about the threat of bioterrorism in the U.S.”

That’s enough. Not nearly the end of a list of abuses during the Bush years, but enough for now. It goes to show you that there is noting new going on here. How do you think the Napolitano report got information about militia groups recruiting returning soldiers after the first gulf war? Did it occur to you that it was an issue even back then? Just because you never heard about the reports doesn’t mean they weren’t being compiled.

I didn’t like the “Patriot Act” when Bush pushed it through and don’t like the “Patriot Act” now. The words and actions of Secretary Napolitano are indeed troubling, but she is hardly the first to utter them. I don’t like where she is going, but I have little doubt that Mr. Chertoff, the man behind the airport scanners would have done anything less. No, what we are seeing now was begun long ago by Mr. Chertoff, and the fact that you and Mr. Bohner misrepresented a Homeland Security report to make it sound like a “New World Order” piece does not make it any better or worse in my eyes, but only adds to my conviction that post 9/11 Conservative America is a sad, frightened place, filled with people who cling to their guns and false bravado while we waste Trillions of dollars on useless wars and false safety protocols. It’s just what terrorists hope for.

      • Michael J.

        Kenetic1,
Why not be truthful, you won’t reply to my post piece by piece because the contents are irrefutable.
And if you think returning vets are being recruited, give examples besides McVeigh. Using a lone psycho like Mcveigh to characterize all returning vets is about like accusing all liberal, Obama worshipping college professors of being cold blooded mass murderers just because Amy Bishop is one.
I stand by my comments, this is not the same Department of Homeland Security or Patriot Act presided over by George W. Bush.

      • Michael J.

        Kenetic1,
By the way, how dare you mention Arlen Spector’s Name with an “R” in front of it. As far as I am concerned Spector is a political whore and opportunist whose ideology is as phoney as the currency printed by the Treasury (i.e. it’s backed by nothing). Everything Spector has signed all the way back to the Warren Commission should be expunged or considered null and void. All record of his exsistence should be chiseled from historical archives like was done to Pharoah Akhenaten.

      • herman richardson

I say blame bush and all the other criminals that are in the offices then AND now. How long is it going to take before we wake up?? I for one refuse to fly, not because of the so called terrorists, because of all the insanity that continues to unfold in our airports, our schools, our court houses, but no one cares, long as they get their CHECK, who do we blame for making Americans a bunch of lazy entitlement seeking bums.

    • http://sheffieldent.com Bud Dowdey

A letter to all concerned especially my Representatives in the United States Senate and Congress.

I am a small business man located in Wilmington, NC and I would like to make the following comment as it relates directly to the Government TSA personnel and their superiors.

There seems to be a lot of discussion about how the TSA operates and the rules and regulations they have in place today. I am the first to agree that airport security is one of our greatest challenges and should be taken very seriously. I also believe that the TSA is being run by a bunch of incompetents who should be taken behind the barn and whipped.

Can you imagine taking your teenage daughter and wife on a vacation and it all starts with a full body pat down at the airport of departure! Now I can assure you that if a TSA agent runs his hand up my wife or daughter’s skirt he or she will missing a few teeth following this exercise. Of course I would be thrown in jail and have to defend my actions to a court of law which is operated for the most part by judges who fail to understand the basic laws granted by our Constitution which very plainly states our rights and freedoms. This is what our laws are based on and yet it is being replaced by a group of morons who seek to change what is our inalienable rights granted under this simple piece of paper.

MY POINT: With the technology we have in place today a simple and optional ID could provide protection against such arcane practices.

      1. Frequent Flyers, Families, Flight Crews and all of the folks who fly on a regular basis or anyone who wants a Federal ID should be able to go to the local FBI office and apply for an international flight ID. (Background check, criminal check and in essence a profile of your history)
      2. It would consist of a recent Photo, a hologram of the United States Eagle with IN GOD WE TRUST on the face of it, An embedded Codex, and last but not least a PALM Print (Taken by the FBI Office where the ID was prepared).
      3. These prints could be scanned by a simple scanner at the airport and the results could take only a few seconds to obtain data from the databank (not a 500,000 full body scanner). God help the agencies who cannot understand this process.
      4. This would eliminate thousands of TSA employees and more.
      5. Then we should hire the Israeli security teams to evaluate our International airports for perimeter airport security and how to profile potential terrorists entering the airports. How many El Al planes have been hijacked!
      6. Political correctness has no place in United States Security!

      • THINK ABOUT IT

Body searches are performed by the same sex agent so there will not be “his hand” going up your wife or daughters skirts.

      • Wanda Murline

His hand, her hand, makes no difference. The Constitution is supposed to protect us from illegal searches and seizures. Even a criminal before the search, the law had better have “probable cause” to search, and the criminal has the right to a miranda, a call to his attorney, before he is searched and to handcuff someone to a chair as these people have done to innocent people, a warrant. Wake up America, this is a test to see just how far Big Brother can go before you say “stop this insanity”. The man with the urine bag should sue, the girl that got hancuffed should sue, and if I were to fly and refused the pat down, if they tried to issue me a fine for just trying to leave … then they would get sued…not just the TSA, the airports, Janet Napoleon, the TSA manager, the DOJ…it is only a matter of time before you have law suits out the anal orifice and justified each and every one of them. This is ridiculous and is being done only for the sale of the scanners to which some in congress are making millions of dollars. Enough is Enough. Quit flying if at all possible, the airports don’t have to have TSA there, so if enough people stop flying, their pocket books will start hurting and the airlines themselves will send TSA packing.

      • Robin from Arcadia, IN

Wanda… I could not agree more! The only reason these scanners are now in our airports is somebody knows somebody in Washington who was big enough to get these scanners purchased and placed. I am wanting to know what the Muslim women do? Do they allow the scanners to ‘scan them’ or do they opt for the pat down? My daughter is flying for the first time over Christmas break. If the Muslim women are not subjected to these conditions, I want to know where I can buy a burka. My daughter will become Muslim for the trip there and the trip home!

      • thinking

TSA might see your small peenie??

Why should they get to gloat over someone elses boby parts? The problem is the rights of the people. You may be fine with being treated as a terrorist, but many are not. This is only part of big brother in our lifes. The equipment is faulty and can be cheated very easily. They will want to have these at bus and train stations, malls, schools, sporting events, you name it. Many people were not happy with Bush pushing the “Patriot Act”. Watch the media, they condone and encourage this government behavier. They hardly report the anger of people that stand against this. Blaming Clinton, or Bush or Kennedy do not resolve thses issues. Remember what the government can do to your brother, they will someday do to you. You know they are working on a new and improved scanner that will be replacing these someday…

      • Vincent

Unless of course the same sex person groping your daughter and wife prefers the same sex then it is a crime.

      • WInks

Ah, Vincent, your homophobia is dripping out. How ugly. And, no, it would not be a crime.

      • JC

Hey everybody! It’s a new Socialist Troll here toi trot out the same tired old Socialist Propoganda. Welcome Winks…we always enjoy new targets around here.
Go ahead, start spitting out the same old crap. Homophobic huh?
Well why don’t you suggest that the people involved might be of different ethnicity so you can froth at the mouth and yell `Racist`too.
You people are truly disgusting…but that`s entertainment! LOL :)

      • Centurion

NO! Its a crime no matter the sex or preferences of the culprit. As an example read Virginia law:

§ 18.2-67.3. Aggravated sexual battery; penalty.
        A. An accused shall be guilty of aggravated sexual battery if he or she sexually abuses the complaining witness, and
        1. The complaining witness is less than 13 years of age, or
        2. The act is accomplished through the use of the complaining witness’s mental incapacity or physical helplessness, or
        3. The offense is committed by a parent, step-parent, grandparent, or step-grandparent and the complaining witness is at least 13 but less than 18 years of age, or
        4. The act is accomplished against the will of the complaining witness by force, threat or intimidation, and
        a. The complaining witness is at least 13 but less than 15 years of age, or
        b. The accused causes serious bodily or mental injury to the complaining witness, or
        c. The accused uses or threatens to use a dangerous weapon.
        B. Aggravated sexual battery is a felony punishable by confinement in a state correctional facility for a term of not less than one nor more than 20 years and by a fine of not more than $100,000.
        (1981, c. 397; 1993, c. 590; 2004, c. 843; 2005, cc. 185, 406.)

So, if your son or daughter under the age of 18 is groped by the TSA agent against his or her will and with intimidation, the act is punishable by 20 years in prison.

As for us adults, its simple Sexual Battery and a misdemeanor, but a crime none the less.

As for the scanners, other provisions make it a crime to take images that produce nude images of a person against their will. It is a further crime to transmit that image to any other person (such as the TSA guy in the next room), there are enhanced penalties if any computer is used int he process and its even a crime for you to allow the image to be taken!

The TSA cannot simply overturn the laws of the state. Even the noxious Patriot Act doesn’t pretend to overturn state laws related to sexual abuse.

Wlink is probably one of the typical and oh-so dreary multiple personality disorder liberals posting under one of his/her/its many nom de plumes. He/she/it is probably another reprobate sodomite attempting to promote his/her/its particular species of wickedness and moral depravity. Since he/she/it speedily retreated into the “your a homophobe!!!!” defense this is the most likely state of things. If this is so, I would expect Wlink to become increasingly shrill and irrational since those who act immorally eventually surrender their capacity for reason.

      • Kinetic1

Oh, Snitch, is that what you’ve been working on with your therapist? It’s a funny thing, but the people who are most vocal about their moral objection to alternative lifestyles are often guilty of same. Just look at the Republicans who’ve been outed over the last decade.

      • Bob Wire

in addition ~~ pat downs were a second option to the electronic scanner while weekend results tells us, few people preferred the pat-down option.

did you hear that? ~ you are being offered security “options”

Are you for or against the feds being able to monitor your cell phone, emails? Are you for having to carry ID where ever you go to “prove” you are a citizen or legally in this country?

Such is your presumption of innocence. Are you for or against it now that it’s being tossed straight in your face? Let me guess…when you’re affected, you’re screaming about it. When it happens to others, you’re Ok with trampling on it. Correct?

      • HFlashman

Easy fix? Have everyone..including TSA employees and all government workers…go through the same procedures. Have it taped to ensure “quality control” that it’s the same as they put the traveller through. That would change it real fast.

Then again, as my GF puts it … “let them ‘see” me, then carry that image home to the spouse knowing they can’t have this quality and have to settle for fat hamburger”

Hey Bud, thanks for restoring my faith in the American voting public. Your comments (a rational and common sense approach) are warmly received, as I had given up all hope that there was actually intelligent life out there.

Hopefully,(if there is any hope) November 2010 was the 1st installment of restoring some sanity and common sense to our government but, we need to continue the process in November 2012, 2014 and so on…. However long that takes!

Our only hope in this country is to seek out and elect people who still remember that we have a Constitution and It, not Congress, not the President and not the Supreme Court is the true law of the land.

We have to get back there somehow and restore the “greatest nation” on the planet and the only hope for the free world!

Bud, While I agree with you in principle there is allways the chance the I.D thing can be carried too far. The old soviet union had travel passes. They eventually used thoes to restrict travel within the borders as well as outside of them. No there are simple things that can be done at airports to secure them. Dogs and bomb detecting devices could be used in tandem to stop explosives of all types from entering planes. Armed air marshells on flights could stop the loony crowd with box cutters in their tracks. 45 said once you had to be a good shot to be an air marshell. But bullet technologies have come to the point where its almost a moot point whether or not your a good shot.No we have to stop this insanity at the airports before they get a foothold in all our transportation needs. Mike L.

The reason that air marshalls are required to be excellent marksmen is that they have to use a lower velocity bullet and hit the bad guy dead center of body mass (breastbone)to prevent the bullet from exiting the bad guys body and puncturing the skin of the airframe.Modern aircraft, flying at altitudes are,by weight limitations, nothing more than a pressurized aluminum can that utilizes the internal cabin pressure as an integral part of the strength of the airframe. When you squeeze an unopened beer can it resists the external pressure, but pop the top and all structural integrity is gone.

Bill, Well maby we could go with High amprage tazer type guns but they have a shorter range.Bithmius bullets have been tested and dont seem to have the punch for penatrating the shells of an airplane. But the passthrough factor would have to be taken into account for the other passengers safty.Mike L.

What ??? This country has a constitution???

Everything the government comes up with for “our own good” ends up being twisted and corrupt. When I was in high school many, many years ago, we had to read a book titled, “Animal Farm”,it was about life in a socialistic society…..that’s exactly how our government has become. :(

      • Eric Bischoff

One subtle but important distinction. Orwell was a Democratic Socialist and this book was directed against Stalin and the USSR.

      • Darlene Jackson

Tomato, tumoto…socialism is socialism no matter how candy-coded it is. Just ‘cuz it looks/sounds good, doesn’t mean it is.

      • JC

Orwell was a Democratic Socialist…says who?

      • Carole Howell

        Eric,
        She did not get that.

      • Michael J.

        Eric Bischoff,
Orwell and Stalin were both Communist.
Animal Farm portrays corrupt leadership as the flaw in revolution and not the act of revolution itself. Kind of like George Soros recent statement, “If Obama can’t make my dreams come true, I’ll get someone else” paraphrasing, of course.

Joe Biden, your extreme liberal Vice-President, devised and wrote the Patriot Act in 1996. Don’t blame Bush or Conservatives. They all did it!

      • TIME

        John,
Your 100% right, but when dealing with stupids – well stupids just can’t get to the TRUTH, why? We come back to they are STUPIDS.

Or they are “paid shills,” of what I understand seems to pay quite well MM one of the Sorass outlets quote’s paid Shills hired by them get a per word, {when one looks at the amount of BS some who post here do in word value} they would be making a wad of cash per week.

Can anyone pick out the ones I refer too. Their responce’s will be thats crazy, strange, no they want to keep that pay check rolling.

Don’t respond to them its like tossing crap balls in the air.

I agree! But I believe this started way before Obama took office and it will continue long after he’s gone. (meaning served his term) Gotta be clear, don’t wanna end up in Guantanimo.

For years it’s been one thing after another.

It doesn’t matter who or what Party is in office. We’ve been headed toward authoritarian rule for decades. An instant implementation of a totalitarian police state wouldn’t work. I have to believe that WE THE PEOPLE would rise up against a drastic move in that direction.

However, chipping away a little here, a little there and the next thing you know…OH! Wait a minute, we’re already there!

Building tolerance toward questionable police and Governmental behavior has been in place for some time now. i.e. Look at the THREATENING ‘CLICK IT OR TICKET’ campaign. We’ve all seen or heard the endless ad’s on TV and radio, not to mention all the road signs and billboards. (And using OUR money to do it). It all started with the passing of the seat belt law (pushed by the Ins.Industry)in a few states and slowly grew. The hold-out states were systematically coerced into passing the law or lose billions in aid from the FED.

The REMINDER ad’s started out as just friendly reminders of the safty of wearing seat belts,(as if we didn’t already know). If you think back you can see how they evolved into out-right threats. Remember the one where a group of LAW ENFORCEMENT OFFICERS are standing like bowling pins. All standing with FISTS on hips and very stern and grim facial expressions. The point man in a very aggressive, threatening tone saying, “We’re tired of the excuses… CLICK IT OR TICKET”. How about the radio ad. You know, the one where the kind Officer is telling US in an aggressive tone that, “We’re behind you, we’re in front of you and beside you…CLICK IT OR TICKET”. The one that really stands out, (After a FEW people complained that the ad’s were threatening and didn’t like them), is where another kind Officer is telling US that “It’s not a THREAT, it’s a promise…CLICK IT OR TICKET”. Don’t they realize that they’re Americans too? What kind of country do they want to live in? Or maybe they’re just doing as they’re told!

Correct me if I’m wrong, but aren’t they supposed to be public servants.

Somebody please tell me! Where in AMERICA, can a SERVANT threaten the MASTERS of a household and keep there JOB? HMMMMMM!

I’m not saying all cops feel or behave in this manner but it most certainly is an escalating trend that continues years after the fact.
Everyone knows about the seat belt LAW. So why continue to spend millions of tax payer dollars on needless, THREATENING ad’s?

TO BUILD PUBLIC TOLERANCE! Children grow up thinking this is how it’s suppose to be, it’s always been this way, it’s the norm.

It’s off-subject, I know, but it seems to be a trend. Over time and all for the ‘greater good’ it’s been one thing after another and we’re all SUDDENLY wondering what happened. How did WE get to this point?

WE THE PEOPLE have grown weak as a society. We’re ALL so wrapped-up in our own lives that we’re blind to the fact that it can happen here. Well, it can and it is and WE as individuals are taking part.

Think about it! Who’s taking part in all this? WE ARE! All for a pay check. The Gov’t creates jobs and WE THE PEOPLE jump in line to get them and without question, do as the job description dictates.

Gov’t employees need to start thinking and stop BLINDLY following every order or instuction thrown at them and question whether it’s legal or not. Right or wrong. Remember the Constitution and Bill of Rights. After all, they’re Americans too. What they do affects them also.

OUR FREEDOMS are what made America great. Without them we’re no better than any other Country. WAKE UP PEOPLE!
