A Most Solemn Trust

Depending upon what the voting public does, Tuesday’s election could be a watershed event in American history, or it could be one more lost opportunity — and maybe the last opportunity.

If voters elect enough Constitutionally-minded candidates the political establishment will be turned upside down. Be sure you know who they are. As Samuel Adams said, "The public cannot be too curious concerning the characters of public men.”

There are a few that stand out: Senate candidates Rand Paul in Kentucky, Joe Miller in Alaska, Sharron Angle in Nevada and Christine O’Donnell in Delaware; and there are some good ones running for House seats as well. The Gubernatorial elections this year are likewise important, particularly if you value the 10th Amendment.

No, it won’t be enough to overturn the fascist system that’s been created over the last 90-plus years. But it will be enough to halt the slide into complete totalitarianism — if those newly-elected stay true to their principles.

Voting is an important duty for Americans who value freedom and liberty. Unfortunately, too many have neglected this duty for too long, either  by not voting or by taking the easy route and voting for a name they’ve heard for years or for someone based on the recommendation of friends and relatives. This has put us in the situation we find ourselves.

As you prepare to vote next Tuesday, remember these other words by Adams, "Let each citizen remember at the moment he is offering his vote that he is not making a present or a compliment to please an individual — or at least that he ought not so to do; but that he is executing one of the most solemn trusts in human society for which he is accountable to God and his country."

    Samuel Adams was right, people. Sadly, most Americans have brainwashed themselves, and they think their “obligation” ends right after they vote.
    For those who aren’t afraid to READ and ABSORB new ideas (no matter how long those ideas have been around), learn what Mark Twain and H L Mencken said about politicians.
    Then, write down what you think about our “elected elite,”, and compare notes with Twain and Mencken. If you put a little effort into it, you’ll have a much better idea as to what’s what and whether or not you’re a good steward of freedom.
    Twain’s thoughts have been condensed, and Mencken’s ideas will share common threads with Twain. READ,
    people. COMPARE IDEAS. Any adult who gives a politician the benefit of the doubt without testing his or her character is an adult who doesn’t value FREEDOM. Now, get ready to VOTE, and force those SOBs to EARN their POWER and CONTROL over America!

    If there are 100 million AWAKE Americans who have decided to become Citizens and not just residents, then we will not only demand our Constitution be restored to it’s original force and value, but we will GET our Constitution back!

    I would add to the above:
    #9 Begin the dismantling of the usurped “powers” of the Federal government and continue until the powers that remain are only those delegated to it by our Constitution.
    #10 Immediately END the Bureau of Education.
    #11 Cut Federal taxes and replace collection with the “Fair Tax” system.
    #12 Encourage the States to replace their taxation system with the “Fair Tax” system.
    #13 Restore State sovereignty.
    #14 End ALL Federal funding to the States.

    #1Demand legitimate documentation as to the birth origin of Barak Hussein Obama
    #2 Keep all Bush tax cuts in place
    #3 Repeal Obama care, plus all the other things he got passed
    #4 Utilize domestic natural resources.Oil,natural gas,solar,and wind
    #5 Eliminate the Federal Reserve
    #6 Expose Political Correctness for the Cultural Marxism that it is.
    #7 Not needed, as this is what the nation as a whole wants.
    #8 Enforce all immigration laws and deport all illegals,Plus those who have gained citizen ship by being born here. BYE BYE!

    “If” is the word of the day. If people get out and vote. If votes are properly counted. If we have done a good job selecting constitutional coservatives and if they are not co-opted by existing lobby lizards and corupt congressman, we may have a chance to begin the rebirth needed to re-found our country. And if so, the next congress should set as it’s agenda the following prioritized endeavors:

    #1 Demand legitimate documentation as to the birth origin of Barak Hussein Obama
    #2 Keep ALL Bush tax cuts in place.
    #3 Repeal Obamacare.
    #4 Utilize domestic natural resources.(oil, natural gas, solar, wind)
    #5 Audit the Federal Reserve.
    #6 Expose Political Correctness for the Cultural Marxism that it is.
    #7 Constitutional amendment to balance the budget.
    #8 Enforce imigration laws.

    Prompt action on these few items would spark an economic revolution and send the progressives back into the closet for the next 100 years.

      Well, here’s a point that got missed in your #1: If Obama’s documentation shows that he was never eligible for Office in the first place, then a lot of the damage he did can be undone *relatively* easy…The primary use of the Impeachment process implies that the person was legitimatley IN office in the first place, so if Obama was NEVER eligible, then EVERYTHING HE DID is lawfully voided! Since he had no legitimate authority to sign ANYTHING into Law, then nothing he signed was valid either! This also includes all of the Agency Appointments he made (with or without Congress’ approval), every new Executive Order he enacted…Literally EVERYTHING he did is VOID. Granted, it will take some time to re-organize around all of these points, but that’s a heck of a lot easier than Congress & the Supreme Court having to UNDO everything one piece at a time.

      But I agree that you set this point as #1…It’s hard to overstress the importance on getting Obama OUT OF THE OFFICE first, before he can do any MORE damage. It’ll be much harder to fix the existing damage if We the People have to also contend with NEW damage until 2012.

      But I think your #5 should really be #2. It was enacted in violation of the Constitution & it continues to use authority that only Congress is authorized for (specifically, Article 1, Section 8, Clause 5…Look it up). We should also think about reviving JFK’s Executive Order 1110 (http://www.john-f-kennedy.net/executiveorder11110.htm, scroll down a bit past the pictures & video) & phase Federal Reserve Notes out of circulation with as little pain as possible.

      Otherwise, I’d have to say that the rest of your comment is spot on.

        Think of the above proposed agenda as a layered offense. As you say, if Obama is found ineligable to hold the office, everything he has done since inauguration day will be null and void. However, I am not one to put all my eggs in one basket, so a multi layered frontal asault is warranted to assure the success of our republic, I beleive.

        By the way, thanks for the info on Executive Order 11110, I was unaware of it. In light of this development, I am suprised that the FED has not erected a Mosque-like equivalent on the grassy knoll.
