The American educational system is in a huge bubble that is going to burst. The State and Federal government may keep it propped up for a while but they cannot hold off the inevitable forever.
The lack of jobs for graduates, the useless stuff that is taught in 80% of the classes, along with the fact that the governments are not going to be able to pay the unrealistic costs of a typical four year degree, will make bring the whole thing down. And furthermore as our manufacturing jobs move overseas, so will our young graduates, where they will stay and raise families. So the best and brightest of our people and their children will continue to live, earn and learn overseas. Those that stay here will be taking all courses online. America will be left with a broke education system, in deteriorating ivy covered buildings, teaching Government slave students how to be good little socialists.
It will be just another unintended consequence of the government taking over our educational system as they did when they nationalized all the student loans as part of the health care bill.

It is a democrat socialist mind set. Keep the people of any race feeling like a victum. Ckeck out the money and jobs specificaly for minorities, also when I read the equal pay for equal work, now women are making more than men, and the so called facts, hours worked were never added into the equation. Go to any company hiring, after the requirement of so many minorities on the assembly lines, the do overs on any equipment went up 60%. The attitude of showing up for work when they feel like it or don’t feel like working, has always been a problem. The idea that USA needs more college degreed do nothing productive, no wonder government employment is the only place these people can get a job. Onumnutts is a good example ,same as his big Mammee. Book smart and dumber than a damn rock.

Before people go ape-shit on this crazy idea I think America has spent enough already on too many programs and knowing what the democrats stand for we’re about to bite more than we can chew…
College is well over rated to start with…….

Barack says we need to have a conversation about race in America .. Fair enough. But this time, it has to be a two-way conversation.. White America needs to be heard from, not just lectured to… This time, the Silent Majority needs to have its convictions, grievances and demands heard. And among them are these:

First, America has been the best country on earth for black folks. It was here that 600,000 black people, brought from Africa in slave ships, grew into a community of 40 million, were introduced to Christian salvation, and reached the greatest levels of freedom and prosperity blacks have ever known.. Wright ought to go down on his knees and thank God he is an American.

Second, no people anywhere has done more to lift up blacks than white Americans. Untold trillions have been spent since the ‘ 60s on welfare, food stamps, rent supplements, Section 8 housing, Pell grants, student loans, legal services, Medicaid, Earned Income Tax Credits and poverty programs designed to bring the African-American community into the mainstream. Governments, businesses and colleges have engaged in discrimination against white folks — with affirmative action, contract set-asides and quotas — to advance black applicants over white applicants. Churches, foundations, civic groups, schools and individuals all over America have donated their time and money to support soup kitchens, adult education, day care, retirement and nursing homes for blacks.
We hear the grievances. Where is the gratitude??

Barack talks about new ‘ladders of opportunity’ for blacks. Let him go to Altoona ? And Johnstown , and ask the white kids in Catholic schools how many were visited lately by Ivy League recruiters handing out scholarships for ‘deserving’ white kids…? Is white America really responsible for the fact that the crime and incarceration rates for African-Americans are seven times those of white America ? Is it really white America ‘s fault that illegitimacy in the African-American community has hit 70 percent and the black dropout rate from high schools in some cities has reached 50 percent?

Is that the fault of white America or, first and foremost, a failure of the black community itself?

As for racism, its ugliest manifestation is in interracial crime, and especially interracial crimes of violence. Is Barack Obama aware that while white criminals choose black victims 3 percent of the time, black criminals choose white victims 45 percent of the time?

Is Barack aware that black-on-white rapes are 100 times more common than the reverse, that black-on-white robberies were 139 times as common in the first three years of this decade as the reverse?

We have all heard ad nauseam from the Rev. Al about Tawana Brawley, the Duke rape case and Jena . And all turned out to be hoaxes. But about the epidemic of black assaults on whites that are real, we hear nothing.

Sorry, Barack, some of us have heard it all before, about 40 years and 40 trillion tax dollars ago. This needs to be passed around because, this is a message everyone needs to hear!!!

my sons are in college and are elligible for pell grants. this is great. what upsets me is, after they pay all tuition and buy all books, they still have between $500 and $800 left over. why so much? i worked while in college and see no reason they can’t as well. and, if the students get scholarships, the pell grant should be cut by that amount. could save a LOT of money just on those 2 things.

The problem is’nt really the tax cut or anything of the like. If you look back over the years you can link the rise in tuition to the rise in goverment sponserd loans for education. Much like the houseing market the prices of tuition have risen in link to goverment backed loans. These loans are paid whether the student succedes or not. Its a money grab by most institutions of education in america. Look at this as another public school program these schools even the ones that are failing the students still get paid the same amount as the schools that are succeding.The teachers in these schools are paid whether or not they educate the students or take a paid nap all day(from experiance there )These problems will continue untill we get the goverment out of the education market and put it back into the states and peoples hands.Imagin the improvements in education if the teachers were paid on results not on tenure. Some countries spend billions on sending their young adults to college and universities. Have any of you figured out why some of these countries are moving ahead and growing their economic base? You all say you want smarter people running this country and creating jobs. Then you turn around and sucker punch that very belief. I think the AOTA students should have to take certain courses for jobs that grow America.(engineers ,medicine, scientists).Don’t cut this country off at the knees when we need a clear edge over these other nations. It’s hardly the time or place to do your Obama bashing dance.

So sorry students, you’ll have to get a job and fund yourself, like I did. Until the millions on social security and disability get a raise again, no credits for anyone. If that kenyan imposter wants to do something for the elderly people of this country, try freezing all permit fee amounts, phone fee amounts, county taxes, house insurance rates, freeze them all. I do not know who the liar is but I would like to eliminate him or her for saying the cost of living has not gone up enough to warrant a raise for ss and disability and vets. I urinate in their faces and they are too dumb to realize my disrespect.

AL SIEBER What’s up with you and your hate of white kids?When I vote it will be for the benefit of all of our kids and anyone for the extension tuition tax credit program.

Only if they include helping white girls more will I agree with this. My daughter is not able to find much help, 1-2, until she is actually in school. Then it will be constant work for her to find and get the money plus get her schooling plus work part-time. I realize there are others out there in this situation and that is why it needs to change. White kids need help also.

Folks, it’s high time to start being very selective when it comes to people chasing degrees. Because of this administration’s psychotic approach to jobs, odds are that MANY young people with enter the job market, only to learn that there’s no need for human resources specialists or art majors or ‘community organizers.’
Parents would do well to expect their kids to get into fields that net degree-holders JOBS. Why waste all that time and money, just to find out that the job market sucks even more than it did when the son or daughter enrolled?
The job market is and will continue to be fickle. The trick is to get into a field where there are more openings than applicants. As a last resort, a degree-holder could flee to a nonprofit, but that’s like admitting that it’s maybe a cut above working at McDonald’s.
Even the prez will admit that there’s no reason to spend 4 years at a college or a university if you wind up flipping burgers or scooping up fries at a choke and puke (or ‘working’ at the Post Office).
