The Thrill Is Gone

September 14, 2010 by

The Thrill Is Gone

For the eighth time in what increasingly looks like will be his only term, President Barack Obama held forth at a talking point dump, aka press conference. For a man dubbed “messianic” by the liberal elite, I can’t help but notice of late, Obama looks as comfortable in front of the camera as a blind agoraphobic in Grand Central Station during rush hour.

Watching our increasingly desperate President try to hold the attention of even the fawning sycophants who comprise the bulk of the White House Press Corps was like watching a physics professor trying on homecoming Friday to hold the attention of a lecture hall filled with frat-boy liberal arts majors.  Confronted by ABC News correspondent Jake Tapper about how Obamacare has already turned into the fiscal imbroglio Democrats denied it would be, Obama froze stiffer than Nancy Pelosi’s face on a Lake Tahoe ski lift:

“No — as I said, uh, Jacob, the — I haven’t read the entire study, uh, maybe you have.  But, uh, you know, if — if you — if what the reports are true, what they’re saying is that as a consequence of us getting 30 million additional people health care, at the margins that’s gonna increase our costs, we knew that.  We didn’t think that we were gonna cover 30 million people… for… free.

Actually, Mr. President, that’s.  Precisely.  What.  You.  Said.  While his backtracking tends to be as laughably divorced from reality as an Ed Schultz monologue, Obama’s stilted speech patterns and inexplicable “I don’t write it, I just read it” dependence on the teleprompter has actually passed funny and disembarked at creepy.  I can’t help but wonder if David Axelrod is standing behind the blue curtain with a remote control:

“Damn it, Gibbs.  I need four AA batteries, pronto!”

Remember when this same media took such pleasure in mocking George W. Bush’s tortured enunciations?  At least we all knew that when W said “nook-you-lerr,” it wasn’t because Ari Fleischer fell asleep with his head on the keyboard.

I thought Obama was supposed to be the smartest man alive.  During the course of the 2008 Presidential campaign, the Democrats deployed every media flack, screwball blogger and MSNBC “journalist” to extol his brilliance while excoriating anyone who dared ask:

“Is it me, or does this guy sound like Howard Dean built a Leninbot in his basement?”

Those of us who openly questioned the acumen of the untested Illinois Senator were dismissed as racists.  Once the race card was maxed out (which happened right about the same time ultra-white boy Newsweek leftist Jonathan Alter claimed that only racism could prevent an Obama Presidency), the left began assailing doubters with Obama’s indubitable brilliance.  “He went to HARVARD.”  Um…so did the Unabomber.  For that matter, so did Al Gore.  For THAT matter — so did Bush.

Now that the Obama Express has jumped the tracks and slammed headfirst into the bridge abutment of incompetence, Democrats nationwide are booking passage to Anywhere But Obama.  Two hundred nineteen Dems voted “yea” on Obamacare.  Not one has run an ad touting their vote.

“Sure, I’m flattered that the President would like to campaign for me.  It’s just that I’m washing my hair this election.”

The borderline-romantic yearning for the great Community Activist has faded like Bill and Hillary’s post-Monica love life.  Even plagiarist and former Bhagwan devotee Ariana Huffington’s Hollywood self-esteem builder Huffingtonpost.com can’t seem to drum up much enthusiasm, with Huffpo’s ubiquitous pseudo-academic Joseph Palermo weaving allusions to fading Obama worship into a predictable tapestry of tired Bush-bashing in a Friday piece ponderously entitled “President Obama Attempts to Bridge the ‘Enthusiasm Gap.’”  It has clearly never occurred to Professor Palermo that the Army Corps of Engineers couldn’t handle that job.

Obama’s lack of enthusiasm is beyond pathetic.  Rush Limbaugh suggested during his Friday broadcast that Obama appears impotent.  Limbaugh is underselling the problem.  There’s no little blue pill which can fix the issues in the White House.

Whatever you want to call it, Obama’s lack of vitality is dangerous.  Islamofascism, the Service Employees International Union and Nancy Pelosi don’t let up on the throttle just because Obama’s hiding under the Resolute Desk.

During the 2008 Presidential campaign, Democrats fired distortions, defamation and plain old venom at Sarah Palin with abandon.  Her garrulous vigor made her a far more inviting target than the man who would be her boss, John McCain.

Looking back, Obama’s verbal ineptitude (not to mention his professional incompetence) makes both McCain and Palin look positively Ciceronian by comparison.  The Democrats honestly expect us to believe Palin couldn’t have handled Joe Biden’s job?  I’m not convinced Obama can, either.

It’s the economy stupid. If the economy improves in a significant way, Obama wins. If not he loses.
The problem is that the party of “no” hasn’t offered any sensible alternatives in candidates or ideas.
Who gets blamed when they screw up?
Right now it’s a win-win for the Repubs.
Obama gets blamed for Bush’s failures (even the wars).

Norm,,,the problem with the party of NO as you call it has been that they haven’t said ” NO ENOUGH ” to the democrats in the past few years which makes them almost as wimpy as the dems.
America used to be the strongest Nation on earth and one doesn’t remain strong by capitulating to political correctness.
Our disciplinenad moral values have been compromised for too long it’s time to get back not only to “NO ” But ” HELL NO “……

        Mick, Well said!!!

I agree also. Don’t forget Norm, we were doing better in those wars before Obama bin Laden took over.

      • Angel Wannabe

samurai, Hell yes we were doing better, because our military was allowed to shoot back, and do the job, they were sent there to do!__Not this damn pussy-foot-in around with the Political Correctiveness crap Bambi’s toutin’ now!____”Oh how we talk bout Obama lika dawg!!!”

      • 45caliber

        Angel:
I agree. I remember Vietnam days – no shooting unless you could guarantee that you hit only the person who was shooting at you. Be a target but don’t shoot back! You might hit the “innocent” person standing beside the one shooting at you! It is the same now – except they have cameramen with you to record if you do try to shoot back.

If you are in a crowd and someone starts shooting, you do one of two things – you run like the devil for cover or you lay down, trying to use that little pebble as cover. The one thing you DO NOT do is stand there, letting the shooter hide behind you. If someone does stand there like that, he isn’t innocent. Yet we have soldiers being tried for murder if they shoot one of them.

It is only on TV that the hero can shoot one shot and hit the bad guy. When someone is shooting at you, you don’t even have time to aim. Many people are lucky if they even shoot in the correct direction! But the politicians insist that if our soldiers can’t hit the bad guy in one shot they must stand there and let him keep trying to hit them. Then they complain about how poor our soldiers are…

45, I just said to the old man earlier tonight about Nam, remember on the news we’d hear, EVERYTHING THEY WERE DOING IN NAM, names, places, they gave away all the info to the enemies!__They could do this, and not do that!__ I’m no war strategist, but Quite Frankly it’s the same strategy here, Obambi’s setting up on this War on Terror, it’s being set up for failure.

      • Norm

The wars were a disaster from day 1,and now 4000+ dead and 1 trillion $ short, they are still a disaster.
We won nothing, protected no one, and pissed off people that never did us harm.
Many of the right wing extremist Arabs that caused the 9/11 tragedy are still alive and well.

      • 45caliber

Norm: That’s what the dems and the MSM tells you about the war over there, isn’t it? Have you talked to any of the returning soldiers? They tell a completely different story since they got their story from the people themselves and weren’t trying to slant the news. In fact, several years ago one of the ABC stories was about a couple who were very against us going in and feared for their lives, staying in their house all the time..

They did fear for their lives. They were a couple of Saddam’s people. ABC sort of forgot to mention that and passed them off as the average person on the street.

      • http://naver samurai

First of all norm, I don’t think there is anything like a right or left wing muslim, do you? I know there are radical and moderate muslims, but they both act the same. Believe me norm, if you want to know what it was like over there ask a soldier who just came back from that heck hole. It’s a very difficult, day in and day out, fight between us and the terrorists. Take it from a soldier awarded the Silver Star, Bronze Star, and 2 Purple Hearts. Many Americans have told me they look good on my uniform, some have even told me that they don’t mean anything (This was before I slapped the stupid punk across the face). Please cite your sources norm. You have answered my challenge before, but will you do it again? People get more respect from me when they do. FOR GOD AND COUNTRY!

      • 45caliber

        Mick:
The Dems have been in control of Congress so long that the Repubs have had to learn to work with them and make deals to get anything done. But when the Repubs took over, the Dems were at a loss – and the Repubs decided to pass all the stuff the Dems wouldn’t let them do instead of trying to cut back on what the Dems had done.

The problem is that the Repubs are conditioned from long use to letting the Dems have their way. We need new Repubs as well as new Dems to insure that they no longer do that.

      • Marc

Its time to grow up and face the truth…If Obama fails with a bill or stimulus or bank bailout or auto bailout then its Bushes fault.Look,Obama is the President and a real man stands up and takes responsibility for his own action. Bush did not make Obama bailout wall street….Bush did not make Obama bailout the banks…..Bush did not force Obama to spend 8oo billion on a no job creating stimulus package that costs more than both wars put together …. Bush did not make Obama cut the water to 50,000 farms and farm workers in northern california because a 2 inch fish is more important then 50,000 Americans and there families. Please, quit kissing Obamas backside and face the truth… Obama and pelosi and reid have soldout the American people and george soros is running all the way to the bank with it.Obama cut off oil exploration in the gulf killing thousands of jobs and gave soros a 10 billion dollar contract to explore for oil off of brazils coastline. Obama is spending our tax dollars sending a radical iman all over the world and lets him speak for America… No sir Mr.President,I will not learn how to make a prayer rug and face mecca,I will fight first…. Lets vote these anti-Americans out of office.

I love this guy!! I will say that my then 21 year old son and I listened to a campaign speech about October of 08. After he was finished my son looked at me and said “What did he just say”. We both agreed that it was a bunch of words that said absolutely nothing. Which BTW is exactly what we knew about Obama going into this election -NOTHING. Guess the good ole US got what it voted for – nothing. No I would not vote for him BECAUSE I knew nothing about him.

Islamic doctrine also says that it is acceptable, and even mandatory, to lie, cheat, agree to, and pose as whatever in order to deceive the enemy, then pounce and kill them when they are not looking.

        I paraphrase.

Look,Lets stop all this islam stuff….Just because it says in the koran chapter 9 verse 30 to kill the christians and the jews, look it up yourselves, does not mean islam is not a religion of peace. Lets embrace islam so all the men can wear a diaper on there head, make a prayer rug and face mecca 5 times a day!!!!!!!!! Can anyone say camel jockey?????? I will not convert to islam and I will fight before I become a muslim!!!!!!!!! Remember all of our fellow Americans that were murdered in the 9/11 attacks….Those were our muslims friends. With friends like that, who needs enemies?

Obumma is, of course, an empty suit….hopelessly out of his depth, and totally inept. Both he and Michelle “Antoinette” have shot themselves in the proverbial foot….finally the population at large are catching on that …”nows Ahh ken get ma free house” was an illusion.

Has anyone read “No Apology” by Mitt Romney? Very interesting reading. Reminiscent of Reagan who made Americans proud to BE Americans…..and did his very best for the country. Funny how this imbecile is slowly reverting to Bush and Reagan strategies….!

  • Brad

People are finally seeing what our President is made of and the hard questions are finally being asked of him and he is falling flat on his face. The Presidents own initiatives are starting to backfire; i.e. HCR because we the people were sold a bill of goods (shoved) the politicians didn’t know and or even understand themselves. The MSM is finally asking the tuff questions and right now they don’t like the answers their getting from Obama and Axelrod.

Democrats are going to take a white washing in November, Nancy will loose her seat as House Leader, her constituents will keep her in her seat in the house of representatives (so sad), San Francisco bay area deserves better representation! Now Barbarra Boxer is in trouble, I hope Californians have learned their lesson and vote to retire her. I use to live in Vallejo, a quiet military town/suburb of Oakland and San Francisco, until the base was closed and four other facilities across the state. El Torro was closed along with Mare Island, Alameda Naval Air Station, Oaknoll Naval Hospital and finally Concord Naval Weapons Station, all closed with the help of Barbarra Boxer and Diane Finstein. Thousand upon thousand of local jobs lost, those communities have never recoverd from the lost income from each and every base closed down. Vallejos city budgit 75% went to union police, firefigthers, teachers and EMS personnel causing the city to file for bankruptcy protection in 2009. I have a very good HS friend who still lives in Vallejo; in a past letter he sent me he stated the police do not go into certin parts of town due to his words, gangs and drug dealers because they controll their little part of town. All types of crime are on the increase cause businesses to leave schools to shut down, finally people are leaving only because the police won’t do their job plus they can’t find jobs to maitain their quality of life.

Currently the state of California has over a 20 billion dollar budgit deficit and an unemployment rate exceeding 12%, people are loosing their homes and moving into tent city’s across the state. Now we see why when you take from the haves to give to the have nots eventually you run out of other peoples money and in Californias case, it’s been proven. Obamas HCR is case in point, eventually HCR will take from all of us, bankrupting this country. I dread the day when it happens but also hope and pray it never happens, right now all the fingers are pointing in that direction, we still have time to change our direction. On November 2nd we the people need to go to the poles and change the course of this country, we have to take back AMERICA and make it great once more.

    • JeffH

Brad, I too grew up in California, a little suburb called El Sobrante. My brother still lives there and my dad lives in Vallejo.
You’re correct in all aspects of your comment. Time for Carly Fiorina to end Boxer’s liberal policies and I can’t wait for Feinstein’s time to come. NO to Jerry Brown also. Meg Whitman will start the job healing process if she’s elected.

      • DaveH

        JeffH,
You need to just throw in the towel and move to Arizona. California is gone. Meg has good intentions, but she can’t do the job without the State Legislature by her side, and I don’t think that will happen until California falls flat on its face and the voters wake up.
We could use your support here in Arizona, where it’s still not too late.

      • JeffH

DaveH, Thanks. I hear you loud and clear. My time here is dwindling, but I do want to make a difference if I can before I bail.

      • Brad

        JeffH,

I feel for you my friend, I hope you and your dad are able to move, that’s if you all can. I hope the citizens of california realize the type of trouble the state is in and try to rein in the state legislature, would hate to see a state have to file for bankruptcy protection.

      • JeffH

Much appreciated Brad. My dad just hit 86 and is doing just fine.
Keep fighting the good fight fellow patriot!

      • http://naver samurai

Keep up the good fight, fellow patriot! I can’t wait to go vote in November, neither can my wife. She’s kind of excited as this is her first time to vote. I agree with her that a good American would want to vote for their leaders and not be like so many that don’t even bother to show up. Must be how Obama bin Laden got elected. You’re dad is doing great? That’s good and I hope he has many more great years! FOR GOD AND COUNTRY!

      • JeffH

samurai, thanks for your kind words. I hope your wife has a great American experience this November and remind her it’s for God and country.
Keep up the good fight fellow patriot. ( I borrowed that one from You and it just seems to come naturally, Thanks Samurai)

      • http://naver samurai

        No problem JeffH!

    • 45caliber

Back when the first illegal amnesty was made, California was 2 billion in the hole and so was NY city. The government bailed them out. I said at the time it was a mistake.

And I was right. The politicians in California and New York immediately began to borrow to finance every little thing they wanted – with the expectation that the Feds (everyone NOT in their areas) would bail them out again. Frankly, I’d prefer to see both go bankrupt and see what would happen then. It might scare enough people into stopping the excess spending in their own states and in the nation.

  • FlaJim

The boy in the White House is doing so much stammering because he’s always been surrounded by a bunch of fawning sycophants telling him he’s the smartest guy around. To have any criticism at all comes as a great shock to both him and his teleprompter.

He was certain that a few carefully crafted speeches would have swung the electorate his way by now and really doesn’t understand why that hasn’t happened. He was able to bring cheers as a community organizer in Chicago, preaching to small crowds of the ignorant. He fails to understand that the average American is much more informed and intelligent than he expected. He also fails to understand that the days of giving one message at a stop along the way and a different one just a whistle stop away are long gone.

The boy is just starting to understand that the truth eventually comes out and when it does and you’ve been caught equivocating, there’s no flowery language that can repair the damage.

    • Christin

      FlaJim,
Great post and esp. the statement in your first paragrph is how I see it, too.

BO said he only sought out the marxists, radicals, blacks, chicanos, asians, muslims, black liberation theology that had his mind set… maybe why he and the Elite thought America was dumb. They are in a bubble… POP!

He NEVER spent time getting to know the rest America: the Patriotic, Conservative, blue (skillful hard working)and white (brilliant college grads & successful business owners) collar, Christian church going, Freedom loving Americans.

I believe 8/28 was an illustration of “the rest of us.” We are the Heart and Soul of America. God bless you all.

    • 45caliber

      FlaJim:
I think one of the biggest problems with Oblama and friends is that they consider themselves the smartest people on Earth and certainly in the US. And now they are starting to realize that they aren’t any smarter than most Americans are. And it scares them – badly. That blows their elitist ideas of themselves. So they are willing to do whatever it takes to make themselves elite again – even if it means destroyng everything else.

  • Mick

Most of us on this board realize the damage this administration if inflicting on OUR country, we now have to convince the other folks and somehow show them that what seem good to them now will destroy America in the near future and make them see that they will be left with absolutely nothing and we should start with the members of our family and friends.
I told my son that if he voted Democrat not to look my way for any help what so ever..As the old saying goes ” You made your bed Now lie in it ………….

    • 45caliber

      I agree, Mick.

I raised by kids by discussing politics with them and with their mother. If they had a question, they were encouraged to ask it and I would then explain what it was. They saw that I made a mistake once in awhile but they also saw that most of the time I was right. As a result when they were exposed to the liberal beliefs in college, they were amused – and they still vote conservative today. And they aren’t afraid to let the liberals know what is wrong with their theories.

One couple I knew when I was young always springs to mind when I think of liberals. They had a son about the same time I had my first one. In discussion one day, the father said that they were no going to allow their son to have any “violent” toys like army men or toy guns. And they were not going to allow him to see any violence on tv or in the movies. “And when he grows up the whole world will be peaceful as a result.”

It sort of shocked me. After a moment, I said, “It is a good wish but there is one thing wrong with it. If even one person is not taught the same way anywhere in the world, he will act differently that what everyone like your son expects – and they will be harmed.”

“No one will do that,” he assured me.

I looked at him a moment. “Well, I can assure you that your entire theory won’t work. I am going to teach my own son how to defend himself and be the meanest SOB around. So your entire thing is shot right there.”

He never spoke to us again. And I didn’t miss him at all.

  • Howard Roark

Is Obamma a muslim. According to Obama’s Own words he says that he was a muslim and then converted to christianity. In the muslin faith the most serious crime one can commit is by leaving the muslim faith. the punishment under muslim law is DEATH. this punishment is final and cannot be changed. it is up to all muslems to kill these people. (that leave the faith)Obama recently held; in the White House; a ramadan dinner with many muslems in attendence. how can this be if Obama is a major violator of the Koran. … There is a provision in muslim law that allows a muslim to disquise themself as a christian if it will advance islam. that is the only explanation that explains Obama’s behavior.

    • http: minnie

You got it, he admitted he is a muslim in his own voice, he said MY MUSLIM FAITH. He believes the same as FARRAKHAN, and he said when they say they are chriatians it is not the same as when WE say we are christians. Farrakkhan and rev. wright believes the same way as obama.

  • Right Wing

A very nicely crafted piece Ben. The Obama tower is starting to sway unpredictably as crowds gather to watch the thing collapse like an outdated building slated for demolition. Maybe more like a misplaced “cultural center” on hallowed ground.

  • Cliffystones

While I’m proud to say that I had “The Big O” pretty much figured out before he took office, this is one time I wish that my ability to judge character was wrong.

There are a small minority of those we call “Liberal” who sincerely believe in the altruistic ideals they claim to espouse. Hell, who wouldn’t like to see an end to all of the world’s problems?

But, in my experience, a great deal of these people are simply “posers” and don’t practice what they preach. Kind of like those who joined the 60s “Peace, Love, yada-yada” movement with the ulterior motive of “getting laid”.

    • TIME

      Cliff Great observation’s dude.

I agree with you 100%, saddly there are many who are thinking with the woody and not with the brain or perhaps better said the lacking brain power as it were in 75% of all cases, sheep that can’t think for themselfs.

As well Barry Soetoro is “not stupid” at all he is doing just what the plan calls for by the numbers, there are “NO mistakes, as well there are NO accidents in politics” NONE at all ever.

This is all done per the play book, and its not going to get better any time soon, its only going to get far worse.

I said this many times now, I was not only a Democrat for years, I was also in the SDS so YES, I know this play book and Barry Soetoro is playing it note for note; as are the Democrat’s and the Progressive Republicans or as most of you know them RINOS.

So how will we stop this train from going off the cliff?

The TRUTH is the one and only thing that will stop them dead in their tracks. But please do keep in mind that the media is on their side, so we have a real up hill battle. And as most folks are to dam lazy to do any thinking or real work to figure it out, this is going to be a very hard job.

Keep in mind the Telie is the most used form of Brain Washing that man has ever known during our time.

For that reason, we need to fight, and fight hard, every time they move to control any aspect of the Internet. That is the wild card in all this. The Powers-That-Be know that, and they want to control it.

      Cliffy:

I agree. In fact, every time a liberal starts bragging about ending all problems in the world, I ask, “Who is going to do all the work that will be required?”

They will invariably say, “Everyone will work at what they want to do so all the jobs will get done that way.”

And I ask, “Oh? Are you the one who’s going to volunter to clean out all the stopped up sewer lines?”

      Generally they shut up.

Obama is either a fool or he is purposely trying to destroy the country with the Cloward Piven strategy. This strategy was develpped by two Colunbia University professors that all evidence indicates that Obama knew. The basic goal of the strategy is to collapse the country with spending and then bring back a socialist Government. (without that pesky Constitution getting in the way of course.

      Howard,
You hit the nail on the head. Most don’t realize that Obummer’s actions and policies are intentionally designed to destroy the U.S. economically, socially, and politically. There will be a flashpoint in the near future and violence will break out. This will be the Dictator-in-Chief’s excuse to declare martial law, bury the Constitution and stop the November elections or for sure the 2012 elections which he can’t possibly win. This imposter has been groomed for these policies for 20 or more years. He has all the thugs in place to accomplish this….wait and see!! Buy guns, gold, and plenty of ammo.

That is exactly what I’m afraid they are going to do too. And I wouldn’t buy gold. No one will need it when there is no economy at all. Bullets, guns, and storable food and medicines are the real key to survival. All can be used or traded as needed.

      • Lewis Munn

The guns are far to expensive for someone on retirement welfare. Ammo has not been on the shelves for about 2-3 years. I think a lot reload now. Gold is far too expensive already for a retired person.

What else to do? Or do I just paint a target on my chest and sit in the yard and wait?

Will I be executed first, or starved to death first? Anybody want to start a pool?

I can’t find anything good to say about Herr Obummer. My parents would not have believed that America could have a closet Nazi in the White House, and they wouldn’t have believed it was possible to have so many career criminals and useful idiots in Congress.
I can’t believe we have so many people in America who can’t tell the difference between pig poo and shinola. When it’s time for Mr. ‘I own the Constitution’ to leave the scene of his many crimes, America will shout with one thunderous voice FREE AT LAST!

I think most people were democrats in the JFK era, it was a different party then.

It has since been hijacked by the fringe left. Democrats don’t represent the working man anymore, they represent gays, illegals, minorities and every other special interest which leaves 90 percent of us out of the equation.

The problem is apathy. There’s too many people left over from the JFK days programed to vote for anyone with a “D”, their parents did and that’s what they’ve always done.

You are exactly right! That happened starting with Johnson. The South used to be strick Democrat and were since before the Civil War. The Dems used to be conservative. But in basically one generation the Democrats changed all that when they decided to buy all the minority votes by taxing the workers. Now the South is basically all conservative (not necessarily GOP) and the Dems can’t understand why. The only reason the North is basically Dems now is because the unions found they could more easily bribe the Dem leaders than the GOP and the unions told their people how to vote. Sooner or later I HOPE the workers in the North realize just how badly they have been sc… ah … had by the union officials.

      • Meteorlady

Cliffy – that’s funny. My parents were life long Democrats. We didn’t have much money but they never one single time expected a handout from the government. Me thinks the Democrats have strayed from defending people’s rights to taking from taxpayers to give to deadbeats, illegals, criminals, drug addicts and those the can work but won’t.

My father considered food stamps and welfare charity and was too proud to apply to take them. He sometimes worked two jobs just to keep our family afloat. So, that’s how I grew up and prospered – learning from my Democratic parents. Now the closest party I can find to my, and my parents ideals, is Libertarian.

      • Angel Wannabe

Meteorlady, My Grandparents were Dems (born in 1895), during the Great Depression. I told this story on here before, but my Grandmother, NEVER felt she would have to stoop so low, as to go to the food bank for food, for any reason. Later, in life_ I remember as child when my grand mother could barely get around anymore, insisted on going to Aunt Annies every week, to see if there was anything she needed.__It didn’t matter, Dems or Repubs, back then people took care of one another!

Yes,please just answer the question and do not stir around it. Do you have an American birth cerificate or don’t you? Then just show it once and for all and quit having george soros buy off anyone who asks…

      • Lewis Munn

        guyb,

My drunken Senator was one who “saw” the whole birth certificate shown, and says it is real. But of course, we peons have only
seen copies, most of which were showing signs of being just close copies of something else.

But there are all sorts of documentation issues and questions. Maybe Obama was not born, but hatched.

Some of you may recall that Chester Arthur, a very bad President, has finally been proven to have gotten the Presidency with a forgery, and the help of party friends.

I am more concerned we have no photocopies of his papers from college to read and see when and where he got his beliefs and ethics. Or if it was post-college. I’d like to read some of his college papers; could be most interesting. Or if his “degree”, which I have never seen, was done without attending classes.

I can show my degree, and still have some of my papers, and transcripts. Nobody is interested in them, but they exist.

I wish our President had something to show for his time allegedly in school. For some reason he is not proud to show anything!

Obama’s father was a Muslim. The only way to stop being a Muslim is by conversion to Christianity, or death (natural, by your own decision or another Muslim). If you are born to a Muslim parent you are a Muslim. If as a child, like Obama, you attend Muslim school you are pressured to declare for Mohammed. Indoctrination and persecution of nonconformists is intense. They don’t like youths to make their own choice.
        Mr. THUNK ABOUT doesn’t have a point-of-view. It’s more a liberal two-dimension plane-of-obscurity.

I’ve never fully glommed onto the BHO as a Muslim argument. The question for you is… which is worse? Being a Muslim or a Black Liberation Theologian? He has pretty much admitted to the latter ala 20yrs in Chicago Trinity. Follow up question…. what (if any) are the differences between Islam and BLT as to their desires for the USA?

      • Mike In MI

Hey, alpha-lem – What’s the Diff between BLT and Islam?

Well if I read the Koran right and from what I’ve heard when the Religion of Peace comes to power here they kill everybody of Jewish lineage/following a Rabbi by sawing off their heads as a sacrifice to Allah, the ancient Moon God. It’s sort of like the Aztec/Maya way of cutting the still pounding heart out of their human sacrifices to their god(s). I’ve been listening but no Islamic scholar has come forward to deny or refute what’s written in their Book of Peace.

Essentially the same thing is in store for all Christians unless they recant sometime before the sawwing gets through their Carotid Artery. The recanting will be a conversion to The Religion of Peace and will include payment of tribute at whatever rate the local mullahs require.

Everybody else will be expected to convert from whatever they are to joyfully join the ranks of those who subjugate, mutilate and humiliate females, practice the glories of eye-for-eye justice and basically revert civilization to the era before time began. If you want to know what other wonders are instore find a book on Shariah Law. (Warning – don’t read it just before you go to sleep.)

Black Liberation Theology is now known as Barak Liberation Theology. It’s sort of like what the ancient Egyptians did except Jeremiah Wright will be the prophet for the earthbound godhead: Barak Of Bama. The nation’s wealth was confiscated for future construction of the New Pyramids and all Uncle Toms and whiteys will be the construction associates, subject to The Reverends Sharpton, Jackson and Farakhan. Under The Bama’s petulant, megalomaniacal regime it’s anybody’s guess how long it will be until things become like the last days of Chaga. History is in process of being revised so that “redistribution” will be known as “reclamation”.

    • spike

It makes no difference what his religion is, do ya get it? A muslim cannot CANNOT keep a contract with an infidel (us) for more than 3 years…They CAN’T. He isn’t a muslim. He’s one of those religious “a little of this, a little of that” guys. What HE IS is a left wing activist who never held a real job in his life, and has no idea what “mainstreet” needs, nor does he care. He came to this job with an ajenda, and that’s his playbook. Don’t get him off his playbook. Cause he don’t get it otherwise. Bush wasn’t the smartest crayon in the box, and he spent too much time, and our money paying back his buddies who helped him get elected. BUT AL GORE, DURING 9/ll?? BE SERIOUS. We need to tell these idiots what the issues during an election are. Not them telling us. The issue of the mosque is one of COMMON SENSE and RESPECT. Our forefathers wanted us to use both by the way. Have you ever wanted to say something profane or viscious to someone at work or a friend or relative, but you held back? WHY did you hold back, EVEN THOUGH you had the RIGHT of free speech?

That is the essence of why the mosque shouldn’t happen at that site.

    • Meteorlady

      Dear Think:

Obama has had every single speech he has ever made written for him. During his campaign some liberal journalists actually wrote a lot of his campaign speeches. Hence the telepromters.

As for lying – hmmmmm. Did it ever one single time occur to you people that Bush just might have “believed” that there were WMD’s in Iraq? After all most all of congress jumped on the bandwagon and vote WAR! I think Edward Kennedy, the liberal ideal, gave a very eloquent speech about his “yes” vote. As for the other vague “lie” ideas – give some examples? Be fair though because we will come back with examples also.

How about I start? “Gays in the military” and “health care debates will be televised on C-SPAN?

Don’t you think that this would happen in your hometown? FOR GOD AND COUNTRY!

  • Cribster

If you are one of the many that didn’t buy into the “hope and change” B.S. and actually gauged him by actions and facts it’s easy to see the charlatan that he is.

It appears his entire being is contrived, Oblahblah is completely uncomfortable in his skin, even the way he walks looks unnatural.

He is neither here nor there, a non-person, non-man.

It’s downright scary that this poser is Commander-in-Chief.

    • Christin

I agree with your sentiment, Cribster.

Those with discernment, never had the Thrill for the imposter nonperson… whose facade is now finally revealed to those who held a public love affair with him. Hopefully, the Thrill is really gone for those who wrongfully elevated him as their king as our beautiful Free America fades.

Many people have said he is a great orator, but frankly I heard much better from real statesmen and see only a shallow, bumbling, lieing pretender.

Jesus is the King of Kings and Lord of Lords and people would do themselves and America well to put facts back where they belong.

      • Mike In MI

        AMEN, Christin, and Huzzah!!!

You got that aced. Get things back in order that can be ordered. One of the things should be to start using words more accurately. For instance, too many folks use the words “facts” and “truths” interchangeably. (I don’t see you doing it.) They are much different things.
“Facts” change all the time, according to circmstances.
“Truths” are immutable and their interplay governs conditions which we experience as “facts”.
I doubt Obambi knows any truths but he’s a master of the “grays”.

    • Meteorlady

Until Americans figure out that candidates are sold like boxes of cereal they will never be smart enough to vote.

Most never once checked into any of the facts that were presented to them when he was running. There were voices that presented some real facts, but most people were too lazy to check the accuracy of the “facts” of the campaign ads and even the media outlets.

Until people start meeting and questioning the people that are running to represent them, we are prone to the same thing that just happened with Obama. A classed up box of cereal was sold to the American public. That great looking box of cereal had a lot of stuff wrong that no one ever looked inside to see.

Clinton bragged in college that he had been approached by 8 people who told him they would put him in the White House if he did what they told him to do. And he did. And they did. Want some proof? Think about many of his appointments. The Dems would talk of this one or that one – and at the last minute he names someone they don’t even know.

Further, there were others picked out by the same group for training.

I’m certain that Oblama was in the same situation and has been picked out by someone or some group. Perhaps even the same group.

How appropriate to coin the Trill is Gone as the title for this article!__How appropriate, the genre of the song is the “Blues”! If America had the Blues during the Bush Years, I’m sure as hell, they’re in a full blown Manic depression now, two years later!_ I’m not going through, again, all the mans done to bring America down. But The one thing that’s really fried my azz, and sticks in my mind, was the first Lady Michelle Obama’s remark, “That she wasn’t proud of America, until her husband took office!”__As if America was a trash heap, before his heavenly induction!__ We know, ALL about the hopey, changey crap Obama’s touted on his never ending campaign, he’s either looked the other way on major issues, or taken it over_Period!__THAT’S MANIC BEHAVIOR!. In general the Dems themselves are getting nastier on the day by day, some pulling away from Bambi, some headed more to the center or right if you will. I would hope the sheep, see this shift for what it is, a last ditch effort, to sway the elections to say “Oh yeah, keep me in office, I’m not as far left as Obama, RIIIIIGHT!_until they get elected!”__THEN BAM!__It’s Politics usual!
Republicans your just as Bad!__STOP THE HOLLYWOOD POSERS!__Get out of our lives, stop taxing and regulating corporations and Entrepreneurs’ so high that you drive them outta the country, like you’ve done!!__ RUN the damn Country, like you were elected to do, get rich, powerful & famous on your own time and money, not off our backs!

He should but he can’t; it’s in his genes. I’m serious…they’re all mutated and deformed in their cell’s nucleus. It’s a fundamental degradation of what God originally created. Their genes are scrambled eggs and it is manifested in their mad, religious belief system. When the worldwide population of them grows to a high enough ratio versus normal humanity God will have to send Jesus Christ back to claim what he earned…the kingdom God promised him a long time ago.

In the Old Testament times, if they brought this stuff to the Israelites, they were commanded to deal sharply with them to keep the nation clean. Today, we are expected to handle such things through cultural and civil systems. But, since we are no longer a nation of laws (nor a world of reasonable order) God will at some point act according to His good pleasure and what He decides is “reality”.

Why, thank you, so much sir. I can’t tell you how much I appreciate your opposition and insults. What could provide more of a positive affirmation than to have someone like you provide that kind of feedback? You see, when ever someone has taken a stand for God and laid out something about God’s Truth, the Devil needs to send someone who works for him around to try to deflect and disparage whatever was shared. The effort is always to try to discourage and discomfort the one trying to advance God’s case. When insults and personal attacks don’t work the next stage is abridgement of rights and freedoms or physical attacks. That’s what Obama and your friends will start next. That’s OK. We get God’s rewards in perpetuity for every bit of the Devil’s foolishness. So, keep up your efforts on his behalf.

        Thanks again.

        CHRIST-IN – Right onagain, sis.

Jesus Christ never said or did or suffered anything for no reason.

The Devil was the brunt of the greatest (spiritual) practical joke in history when he had the jewish priests condemn Jesus of Nazareth. Why? Because his death and resurrection made it possible for any believer any where at any time to have and use all Christ’s power and ability (and more) resident in them to box old Splitfoot’s ears, as needed. Satan never had a clue what he was doing to himself until it was too late. He used his greatest weapon against humanity – murder – to get what he thought would be his greatest and final victory.

        It was his biggest mistake.

Whichever way the winds blow after the November political gale, the legislation already in place or about to be, is going to be very difficult to repeal. The billions freely given to GM and Chrysler with virtually no help from the unions,CEOs, the immense bailout of Freddie, Fannie, AIG et al have been ruinous to an already battered economy. Add Obamacare and even more to the teachers and other unions and you have a piece de resistance for a beggars’ banquet. Republicans or Democratics, what real difference will any of them make? Hey Charlie, keep your apartments, it won’t make very much difference. Hoy, we could all form community action groups, right down at the nearest soup kitchen.

    • Ellen

I wouldn’t count on a one-term occupation of the oval office. I think it will depend on whether he’s damaged this country enough for the global elite to come to our “rescue” with their solution of a one-world government to “take care of us all”.

OR, if he only has one term, they will put in a RINO who is an insider who will just be another puppet that will keep the wars going. The people will tire of this and they’ll put in another D who will illegally, criminally, and unconstitutionally continue the sell-out of the American people. This ploy has worked very well for a long time and the American public just doesn’t get it.

I hate to throw a wet towel on your Hopes and Dreams, but I think we have a long way to go. Witness this poll by Rasmussen:
      http://www.rasmussenreports.com/public_content/politics/current_events/healthcare/health_care_law

      Note especially this paragraph:
“There continues to be a huge divide among Mainstream voters and the Political Class. While 67% of Mainstream voters favor repeal of the health care bill, an overwhelming 88% of the Political Class opposes repeal, including 75% who Strongly Oppose repeal”.

They can’t all be Democrats (the Political Class).

To a point I’d say Ben Crystal has it pretty well covered. Obama has finally been exposed. The Dems are hiding from him during this mid term period, he’s being critisized more often by other than FOX media outlets, although they still don’t get the “why” of it.

Even MSNBC host Chris “I get a tingle down my leg” Matthews took a page out of Dick Cheney’s book and accused the president of “dithering” over Afghanistan.

“President Obama has his chin out on just about every hot issue out there. Health care. Terror trials. Job losses.” Matthews began. He then launched a series of aggressive questions going after many of the president’s recent decisions.

“Is he just too darned intellectual? Too much the egghead? Why did he bow to that Japanese emperor? Why did he pick Tim Geithner to be his economic front-man? Why all this dithering over Afghanistan? And who thought it was a wonderful idea to bring the killers of 9/11 to New York City, the media capital of the world, so they could tell their story?”

Even Keith Olbermann, who has been one of the most swooning and often uncritical admirers of Barack Obama of anyone in the country, spent some time emphatically lambasting Obama and Eric Holder’s DOJ for the Obama administration’s use of the radical Bush/Cheney state secrets doctrine and their claim of “sovereign immunity” to insist that courts lack the authority to decide whether the Bush administration broke the law in illegally spying on Americans.
Olbermann also attacked Obama for replicating and surpassing some of the worst Bush/Cheney abuses of executive power and secrecy claims which reflects just how extreme is the conduct of the Obama DOJ.

Rachel Maddow took President Obama to task in a big way for his lack of advocacy on gay rights, particularly the Pentagon’s ‘Don’t Ask Don’t Tell’ policy.

You know it’s bad when Matthews, Olbermann and Maddow say somethig negative about Obama. It obviously was a mental lapse on their part.

    • JeffH

Yes America, whether some like it or not, “The thrill is gone”!

      • Bob Wire

What thrill? I’m not been “thrilled” with politics since Lee Atwater introduced pure evil into politics discourse.

Politics has been reduced to a Freak Show Convivial act along with Goat Boy and the Pig with three heads.

“I thought Obama was supposed to be the smartest man alive. During the course of the 2008 Presidential campaign, the Democrats deployed every media flack, screwball blogger and MSNBC “journalist” to extol his brilliance while excoriating anyone who dared ask: ”

This like of journalism and commentary is selling tickets to the absurd that appeals to perhaps 18 % of the American people with their own kind of Circus Act.

Take your pay check and work on what you plan to sell us tomorrow. If it was up to me ,you’d be unemployed for it’s clear politics commentary is not your game.

“The Thrill is Gone” — B B King—ahhh, wonderful song, good memories!
However, this song has nothing to do with this article. It is like comparing apples to oranges. Or should I say comparing a “witch to an angel.” Yes, the thrill is gone. Literally. It is time for the politicians to pay the piper. It is time for politicians (a lot of them) to reap what they have sowed. We can no longer put up with the disrepect that has been flung at us. We will no longer be cast aside. We will no longer put up with the dishonesty, the greed, and the inept attitude of the government. We must demand that all politicians respect us for we are the ones that vote them in office. Don’t you think it is way past time that politicians respect America and the people of America and conduct themselves accordingly? They are going to have to straighten up and fly right. No pun intended. They are going to have to realize they will be voted out if they keep playing their games—no more fun and games. This is serious business. We can no longer allow them to abuse their power and the privilege of being elected. I have so many demands now that it will take me a month to send out my letters, emails, etc. but I am going to keep it up. I have no choice–I have to keep after them. I have talked to so many people here in town and within the state of Illinois–it is almost like they have given up, too busy, or they think nothing can be done about the situation. And sometimes it is a struggle for me not to give up. Is it easier to just “go with the flow” and whatever will be will be? No, it isn’t. I will do what I can, it may not help, but I’ll sure give it a go.

    • Al Sieber

Claire, good post, especially B.B. King. at this point I don’t think most of the politicians care what we think of them. I’m still pissed off about John McCain here in Ariz. I think Henry Ford said we get the Govt. we deserve. I’m really hoping Nov. will make a difference, but, I don’t see anyone worth a damn that represents the people. Al Sieber– If November does not work then it is up to all Americans to do what we have to do. I refer to a huge march on Washington, we will have to become rebels WITH a cause. Literally. Heck, look at Glenn Beck’s rally, he pulled in a lot of perople. I really think we could do the same. It would take a lot of work, and it would be just Americans, no politicians, etc. I’m not talking about civil war. Either that or start filing lawsuits. We could sue for misrepresentation, entrapment—we could surely come up with something. Does anyone have any thoughts on this or am I just being goofy? Heck, they sue for everything else. Geez, I’ll have to check this out. People probably think I am getting desparate. I think I am.

It would be just Americans, no political parties involved, no tea party, and no politicians. No speakers that lean left or right. We would have to remain entirely “neutral.” We would have our own speakers. If we allow any organizations/politicians to become involved, the march would be catagorized as another left or right leaning group. We would make more of an impact just being “ourselves.” Personally I think it is a great idea. Hey we have the courage, the guts, the stamina.

      • dan az

        Hey Al and Claire
The threat of all states suceeding from the union would have an effect on their perception of what the people want.Im with you Al I feel there may not be a November election and with that in thought if we succeed then we would be a seperate country when all hell breaks out even the UN would find it hard to attack a country or countries that are not part of there treaties so as to give all of us the time to bring about our nation to what it once was minus one or two states.Just a thought!

      • Bob

Dan There isn’t enough time to put a plan in action for secession. It would take years because you have to get your state reps to accomplish this. Most of them are too scared to go against the Feds.

      • Ellen

Every election is bought and paid for……they let no one past the conventions or primaries who isn’t an insider and whoever is “elected” has been designated as such. Elections are NOT the answer. They control the results tightly. Apparently Reagan was not meant to get to the oval office and he actually accomplished SOME decent things but they finally had to do the assassination attempt to reel him back in line.

      • http://libertymind.wordpress.com Patriot1776

Hey Ellen, You are absolutly right. There is NO electoral solution to our federal constitutional crisis. Our only hope electorally is in the local and State elections. We can elect local and State representatives who believe in State soveriegnty, individual liberty, and private property. Then maybe we will have State representatives who will stand up to the federal government and tell them to go pound sand when they pass bills that are unconstitutional and over-step their authority.

      • Christin

        Good point Ellen and Patriot1776,

And if/when each state elects constitutional conservative statesmen/women and they represent the local and state issues well, then they can be promoted to go to the national level to do good work for the people there.
However, you will need to straighten out the educational system in each state to start teaching Consitutional law, Free Market Capitalism, and American History from original sources (truth) so that the youth will be proud Americans who love our country ans wish to preserve it and not pervert it.

      • 45caliber

        Ellen:
I decided long ago that if I was ever foolish enough to run for President and won, the first thing I would do would be to hire my own bodyguards. I wouldn’t trust the ones the government would give me to actually protect my life if those in government decided I wasn’t the “right” man.

      • Claire

45caliber– You are correct. They don’t want an honest man in office.

Come on, you guys!!! DON’T BE SUCKED IN AND UNDER BY THESE PEOPLE. WE HAVE WORK TO DO!!! First of all, we MUST get OBAMACARE repealed. Secondly, we MUST contact, and keep contacting our Senators and Congressmen and women…They, and the new ones that run, need to know that they need not run if they aren’t going to be accountable to US. We made quite a statement at the BECK rally. We need people like BECK who have a public forum (regardless of what you think of him) to give US a forum. Sorry, but the buck stops with us.US!!! We need to get out of this boom or bust , cycle, and we need to get our debt paid off to China or whoever, and the GOVERNMENT NEEDS TO PULL IN THEIR BELTS, TOO, AND WE NEED TO WORK TOGETHER. WE NEED TO GIVE BUSINESSES A REASON NOT TO RE LOCATE TO INDIA, BECAUSE I AM SICK AND TIRED OF TALKING TO SOMEONE IN INDIA, OR THE PHILLIPINES, OR WHEREVER WHEN I HAVE A PROBLEM WITH MY COMPUTER SOFTWARE, GOT IT? NO, REALLY, DO YA GOT IT???

Government in the United States (at all levels) spends 37% of our GDP. The US GDP is $14 Trillion. If we just cut them back 30% (50% would be better), that would put over $4 Trillion back into our economy to revitalize it. That doesn’t even count the efficiencies that would result from getting much of Government (regulations) off the backs of the companies that make our economy tick.

      • http://guy@reogiant.com guyb

Its time to wake-up America. The only cut backback will be the throats of the American people. The white house does not respond to cut backs. Let me make this perfectly clear,I am not going to wear my birth certificate on my forehead so that means if I want to stir around this birth certificate question all I have to do is call my good friend and personal bank george soros and he will stop your questions. Now,back to business. I want to spend 4 trillion more dollars so my friends and I can get bigger and better payoffs put into swiss style accounts around the world.

      • Meteorlady

It’s not just the federal government that interferes with business. It’s state, county and city governments. While I know that I have to pay certain taxes, the cost of regulation gets to be pretty steep also. In states like Washington it’s too hard to conduct business – they are not business friendly and wonder why we are all leaving the state. I was getting taxes to death in that state and my property taxes were eating into my business to the point where I could no longer expand. To further complicate things, the cost of living was higher there. I was also the tax collector for the State (sales tax). I had to pay the sales taxes on goods that I sold each month even though I was not actually paid in that month for the product that was sold. That means that if someone let their bill go 90 days, I was out the sales tax amount that I had to pay the state ahead of actually collecting the money for my product. It got even worse if someone stiffed me and didn’t pay a big bill.

I now live and run a small business in Texas. Just that move alone saved me numerous city, county, and state taxes. Not to mention the costs for permits from each governmental body that regulated me. Most of the regulations are un-needed and I conduct business in Texas in an ethical and generally lightly regulated manner.

But the bottom line here is that if I suffer from these business killing moves, how does it affect the bigger guy? How will it affect me if they start the same cycle of tax and regulate here in Texas? Will I have to move my business out of the country to make a decent living or will I just shut my doors and get a job?

        @ Meteorlady
Well stated, well said, nice composition. If you every have to leave Texas, consider Canada, we can use people who know how to state the facts so clearly. Well done.

        MeatierLady – LUVIT!!!

Sounds like we (anybody trying to run any business here) are all getting the “bizzniz” from our (b)leeders. you laid the basics out very clear and concise.

Hell, why don’t we all close up shop here and move to Cuba or some other ex-liberated land. Castro sounds like his epiphany has landed squarely on his head after 6 decades. He’ll robably be overjoyed to have some people who know how and why to work and do what works. I always thought he was just another stupid marxian marionette. At long last we see that, when somebody is in the position of pulling the strings for a few decades, common sense becomes obvious to an astute observer.

We must all remember,The white house has there own healthcare program so if the one they rammed down our throats is so good, then why don’t they go on it to and there families? Let me make this perfectly clear, I am the president and if I decide to sell America out then I will….I am sending out the finest iman to speak for all of America. I know he is radical, but I feel he is the right muslim to speak for all of America to our friendly muslim nations.Look, we need there oil because I will not let America become energy independent!!!!! Let me make this prefectly clear…. pelosi and I have cut the water to 50,000 farms and farm workers in northern california because the delta smelt might go extinct….I do not care about how we can raise millions of delta smelt just like we do trout and salmon and catfish ect., I do not care that pelosi still gets all the water she needs for her multi million dollar vineyards in northern california!!!!I care about stopping our economic growth so America can be transformed into the socialist country I want it to be!!!!!!Let me make this perfectly clear!!!!! I want CHANGE and you voted for it!!!!!!!

      • Christin

        Unusual perspective, guyb, and funny.

      • WTH

Speaking about healthcare… has anyone seen this? The US Is Adopting Codex Alimentarius. The article: “I am saddened to say that on June 10th, 2010, Obama signed Executive Order #13544 which mandates that the US is adopting Codex Alimentarius. This legislation, *originating from the United Nations*, in effect, begins a worldwide campaign for massive hunger and starvation. We fought them for 5 years and defeated them in Congress each year. We also assisted Canada over those years and were successful in defeating C.A. in Canada too. As of today, I do not know what has happened in Canada regarding this dire situation. Now, with a stroke of a pen, and quietly behind the scenes when everyone was focused on the Gulf Oil Spill, he effectively launched Codex Alimentarius in the US, which is intended to bring ALL vitamin and mineral supplements and natural health remedies and technologies to an end. The CDC and the HHS *can now make illegal*, all alternative health remedies and technologies.” To read the whole article, go to:
        http://rense.com/general92/adopt.htm

      • Christin

        WTH,
I heard about CODEX some years ago, but did not know that they slid in a bill to make it law while keeping the American people busy with the Gulf oil spill.

There is always some crisis going on in the forefront while another freedom killler is going on behind closed doors.
(A left jab in the gut while stabbing in the back.)

I’d say some evil people have too much time on their hands…hmmm?

Thanks for the web site. Keep up the good work.

Wouldn’t you like to have one of these jobs that come back? I also agree that it is time to vote them out in November and in 2012. You take the name hannibal smith, you watch the “A Team” a lot? If you take after the leader, Lt. Col. Hannibal Smith, you’ll see that you’re going the wrong direction. Please try to have a good debate and not rantings, thank you. FOR GOD AND COUNTRY!

That is exactly what I’m afraid of.

        Steve,
        What is “Reichstag”?
I have heard others mention this word before on this site.

      • ted

Check- your history book. We learned that in grade school; when Hitler started his trek to take over Germany as the leader….and so much glass was broken in a night of

      • http://naver samurai

You are right Ted, but the Reichstag burning and Krystalnacht (The night of the broken glass.) were two different events. The Reichstag event did help Hitler attain power, but Krystalnacht was went he had his own goons (Brownshirts, SS, etc.) smash the windows of homes and businesses that were owned by Jews. If we give Obama bin Laden a chance, he’ll try to do the same things here! FOR GOD AND COUNTRY!

      • Christin

        ted,
I was under the impression that this was a forum where posters could discuss topics and ideas as well as share their knowledge of what they have learned through much research and studying. I do not claim to know everything, that is God’s job, but am willing to learn what it is I don’t know.
Obviously, I don’t remember reading about this subject in “grade school” or I wouldn’t have asked Steve. And I must also add that while Teaching six grade “Our World” Social Studies a number of years ago that word never appeared in their textbook, nor do I expect it to appear in my son’s elementary World Geography & History text, either… but the year has just begun and I may find it (NOT) as the year progresses and we read and study.

If you can’t help someone who is being sincere in seeking knowledge in a respectful manner then you should just pass.

PS From samuari’s post it appears you don’t know it all either.

Reichstag is the name of a large dear that grows in West Texas in the Davis Mountains, and is seen at night often in the company of one of the West Texas Jackalopes living in the area. Extremely Rare

      • http://naver samurai

        That makes no sense Ben.

      • Christin

        samuari,

Ben is being facetious. He is really talking about a stag – deer and a ficticious jackalope – rabbit-like animal. He is from TX no doubt and telling one of those infamous tall tales Texans love to tell.

Ben, you made the same mistake ted did… he thought I was stupid, too.

I have been to the Davis Mountains, Ben, and the stars are beautiful in the wee hours of the night. They are just breath taking. Every inch of the sky is covered in stars, galaxies and universes… just awesome like the One who created them! And that is no tall tale.

      • http://naver samurai

Sorry Claire and Ben, I didn’t know you were trying to tell a joke. I guess I misunderstood what he was trying to do. FOR GOD AND COUNTRY!

      • Claire

Al Sieber–You say you are “pissed off” — it is better to be pissed off than pissed on. Maybe I should retract that statement–we are all being pissed on, thanks to our government. Geez, I am mouthy tonight.
McCain is a nothing, I still cannot believe he made it through the primaries and so many people were NOT going to vote for him. Sounds almost like Illinois to me.

      • Al Sieber

Claire, you’re right, we’ve been pissed on for years.

Claire, well written, but did you mean “inept attitude” or “indeptitude”?

      • Claire

Birch–Now that you posted this word, I mean “both” words. lol

      • http://?? Joe H.

        Claire,
I almost posted that that couldn’t be you as the “r” in Birch looked like a “t” at first glance & I didn’t notice who you were answering!!! goes to show we all better read a little closer at times!!! LOL!

      • Claire

JoeH– I am capable of getting mouthy but I try to behave! There have been a few times I have mis-read and almost got myself in trouble!! I have to read posts closer because sometimes I have goofed. lol

    • Meteorlady

Nice post Claire. What scares me is the monied elite that back representatives from both parties. We need to fight a fight in order to get campaign financing back in sync. We should stop foreigners from interfering with out election process through donations. We need to stop national special interest organization from donating the state senate and house races. The only people that should be supporting candidates are American citizens: all people for Presidential elections; and the people of the state who will be represented by the candidate.

We need to keep lobbyists out of Washington DC and away from all the government Departments and their heads. We need to take the money out of it and I think the races would be a lot more fair.

In the last Presidential election I contend that Obama surged forward because he had the backing of some pretty powerful fellows including George Soros. It is believed that George even created a lot of the Wall Street and Banking collapse by pulling 50 BILLION from the market two days after Bear Stearns went down. That started the very serious devaluation of the market. At that point in time Obama was behind in the poles but once the collapse started earnest he was suddenly ahead in the poles – because not to waste a crisis -they blamed the Republicans and George Bush.

      • Christin

        Meteorlady,
Yes, definately STOP the foreign donations to candidates and incumbants in OUR elections.
I thought that was already illegal!
However, I’m sure BO got millions via the internet.
Only American citizens should be allowed to contribute money in an American Election.

      • Claire

Meteorlady– I harp about the lobbyists and their pork a lot. It is the politicians that keep the lobbyists in there plus their pork that they add to every bill they try to pass. I don’t see how in the world we will ever be able to stop this. I remember when Obama was campaigning-he said he would get rid of the lobbyists. Yeah, he sure did alright. I hate to say this but I don’t think any politician will get rid of the lobbyists.

      • Claire

Meteorlady– I voted for both of the Bush guys–personally I don’t see how people can keep blaming Bush, especially when the majority of the past administrations contributed to this situation plus the current government has not helped.

      • JeffH

Claire, as you always say, they all had a hand in it! Now it’s Obamas hand that’s in the cookie jar

      • Claire

JeffH– I know. Dang! That picture of him above looks mean. Hey, I am not afraid of anything. Bring it on. I am ready to whip someone’s butt tonight. Where’s Rahm? I could slap him silly with a few dead fish. Sorry, Jeff, I am tired and when I’m tired I get goofy. I didn’t get much sleep last night. Bob was sick during the night, but he is feeling better tonight, thank God. I hope you, your dad get to move. I would sure love to but like I said, I can’t leave the kids and grandkids.

      • Claire

JeffH–”they all had a hand in it”—I sound like a broken record, you are right I have to go on to the next level of thinking.

Isn’t it utterly amazing how our congress has fattened their nest? 1Term in office and retire forever at full pay!! How’d that get there??? plus free perks galore, free mail services etc. They have really padded that nest, and ignore our e-mails to their web forms…Also they hire experts to read the bills, working 3 days a week is a lot of work!!! you know…let’s fire the senators and hire the experts…they can read the bills!!! Now they have vans with xray equipment going around cities xraying people…Duh…the 4th amendment die? a serious dose of radiation on unsuspecting people is OK? only a few such doses needed for thyroid cancer…but they don’t care about that!!! Time for S*** to stop!!!!
