Time to review the actions of the last administration. I won’t condone the use of political games, and it doesn’t matter who is playing them, but to suggest that President Obama is manipulating the government because he’s “a good little Islaamic (sic)” is bunk. Bush was a “Born again Christian” and he holds records for recess appointments and manipulative processes. This is the man who turned “Presidential signing Statements” into an excuse for personal interpretation of the Constitution. By April of 2006 he had already set aside 750 statutes passed by Congress because he didn’t believe he should be held to these new laws.

None of this is to say that the current administration was right to push through health care how they did. And it is not an excuse for other political end runs, though with the Republicans holding up every appointment they can, recess appointments are to be expected. This is just to point out that our current President is no more guilty, and may actually be less guilty of these games than past Presidents. You may not like what the President is doing, but stop turning politics into a religious rant.

It’s just amazing ! Kinetic1, I really think this administration is dumber than Bush’s administration. If benevolent socialism was the target, the Democrats have fired and keep hitting the people standing in back of the shooter …..

I believe there are numerous politicians that have broken their word. The Republican (RINOs) are another good example. Both parties are full of politicians that have “broken their word” at one time or another.

Add to that: Threats. “I’m the president now and can do as I want”. And that’s just what he’s doing, with every underhanded tactic he learned in Chicago. Lord! What a disgusting excuse for a human being – at least that’s what he claims to be!

I sometimes think that when it comes down to the final countdown, there are people that will “stick” with the party of their choice. A prime example is the McCain nomination. Things are not what they seem. I hate to say this, but the November election will not make much difference. Only more turmoil with nothing being solved. I hope I am wrong. Something is going on here. I think of the riots in Russia when Putin won over that other guy – the one he tried to poison. There was rioting in the streets, because people knew it was rigged. The same with elections elsewhere. We are naive if we don’t think it could happen here, especially since they’ve set up the voting system to make it easy.

The claim was made by Clinton himself that his administration had a surplus of $69 billion in FY1998, $123 billion in FY1999 and $230 billion in FY2000 . In that same link, Clinton claimed that the national debt had been reduced by $360 billion in the last three years, presumably FY1998, FY1999, and FY2000 however no matter how you add it, $360 billion is not the sum of the alleged surpluses of the three years in question ($69B + $123B + $230B = $422B, not $360B).

I am not defending the increase of the federal debt under President Bush, but it is disingenuous at the very least to say of promoting Clinton’s record as having generated a surplus. It never happened. There was never a surplus and the cold hard facts support that statement. In fact, far from a $360 billion reduction in the national debt in FY1998-FY2000, there was an increase of $281 billion and so there is a gap in those numbers is 600 Billion Dollars!

You can verify these figures by accessing the U.S. Treasury website where the national debt is updated daily and a history of the debt since January 1993 can be obtained.

Yes, the budget was almost balanced in FY2000 (ending in September 2000 with a deficit of “only” $17.9 billion), but it never reached zero–let alone a positive number. Clinton’s last budget proposal for FY2001, which ended in September 2001, generated a $133.29 billion deficit. The growing deficits started in the year of the last Clinton budget, not in the first year of the Bush administration.

Clinton paid down the public debt by borrowing far more money in the form of intergovernmental holdings(Social Security) while still running budget deficits year after year!

There is even a minute chancethat it was not even a conscious decision by Clinton to lie or take credit for reduction of the Public Debt (I doubt that) because the Social Security Administration is legally required to take all surpluses and buy U.S. Government securities which automatically and immediately become intergovernmental holdings.

Thanks for your opinion but I know our financial problems started earlier, during the Carter administration he signed into law CRA circa 1977. Then during Bill Clintons tenure he tweeked CRA to make it easier for banks and brokerages to loan money. Oh yes then the so called budget surplus, didn’t you know it was a proposed surplus there was no real money in the bank. Then 9/11 happened, the markets dropped through the floor, interest rates fell because the FED was cutting off a recession at about the same time home prices started climbing up and didn’t stop climbing until late 07. Three times the Bush administration tryed to rain in Fanny and Freddy, but the Dems in congress said there is nothing wrong don’t mess, three times to prevent what has happened to us today.

Now we have Barney Frank coming out and saying both Fanny and Freddy need to be folded, because we the people own both Fanny and Freddy to the tune of 150 billion dollars. They are the ones responsible for allowing banks and brokerages to lower there lending practices and giving homes to any tom dick or harry with a heart beat.

David we can differ on any given point politically but we have one thing in common, we both have supported and defended the United States of America and upheld the constitution. At the end of the day I would be proud to set aside any petty difference and have a beer with you and talk about our war story’s and even exploits.

Doing nothing, and simplistically labeling any attempts to solve these problems as “socialism”, as the moneyed vested interests want us to do, is to raise irresponsibility and immorality to an art form and hurt our fellow citizens.

What do we also do about Iran? North Korea? The Middle East? Our crumbling infrastructure? Our failing schools? Our dependence on foreign oil to the detriment of our young soldiers? Alternative energy technology? Our environment? Our religious intolerance and hatred? Our blue state/red state divide? Our irresponsible con-men and women on blowhard talk radio? Our immigration problems? Our passion for discrimination against women, foreigners, and gays? The list goes on and on.

The answer is certainly not to demonize our President who, in good faith, is trying to address and solve these problems. He didn’t give us the problems, but they are his now. Calling him a socialist, communist, alien (not born here) doesn’t solve any problems. I said the same thing to my liberal friends when President Bush was in office. None of us has the benefit of knowing what he knows. You know about the chain of command and the importance of unit cohesion. We need to stop attacking our government because, in our system, we are the government.We need to stop attacking the President, we can certainly disagree civilly, and start asking, “How can we help?” Why can’t we say to the President, here is a better Idea, what do you think? That is our democratic system. I guarantee that will work better than calling him insane names and denying that he was even born here.

I do agree that the “Left” and “Right” need to work together using fiscal responsibility to heal the woes of this country. We already know how to work together, putting petty differences aside; I just hope our politician can learn the same lessons we already know. My family has a rich military history from the American Revolution, Civil War, WWI, WWII, Vietnam, and finally the Gulf War.

David, you have a number of valid questions concerning both you and I including millions of Americans across this great nation. Right now the federal government can start by ending every single program that is non-productive, fire every single czar since they don’t answer to congress in other words they do whatever they want to, they legislate with no oversight. Since government, union employees (not the military) make more than their counter parts in the civilian market place; reduce their pay equal to their civilian counterparts and base their pay raises on performance and not on an annual budget. Let us stop all foreign aid it will save billions annually; I would redirect those moneys to the needy within our borders.

Currently all states to include the US government, spend approximately 415 billion annually on medical and education for illegal aliens within our own borders, cut spending on illegal’s and divert it to training programs to put Americans back to work. With the money left over, we put it into new roads, electrical systems, and water/sanitation systems. What do we do about medical for every single person in the US; it should not include a mandate for every single person to have it. In European and every single country that has socialized medicine, doctors have left practices in droves and the ones who have stayed tend to work more hours causing delays for their patients.

Many of patients tend to leave there countries and come to the US for life saving procedures. As for US citizens dying because they cannot receive adequate medical care, or are turned away because they cannot pay, that is why there is medicade no one should ever turned away from an emergency room. To try to answer your question is very probably beyond my humble up bringing, it will require a consensus from different disciplines. Your other questions delve into a realm beyond both of us.

Okay the first round is on you the next is on me, and then it is time for honest discussion.

And that is our government has been taken from us by very powerful Multi-National Corporations. Did you not notice how BP (British Petroleum seemed to get everything they wanted, while seeming to be chastised and punished overtly, and subversively getting everything they wanted.

Case in point, they were allowed to buy up all of a chemical that had been banned in the USA and allowed to use this chemical as an oil disbursement medium and was not told to cease and desist it’s use until they had dumped every last drop of it in the Gulf. Damn sweet deal for them and that is just one point.

Our real problem is our government has been taken over. We fight wars for Multi National Corporations, our troops fight and die for THEM. Some of THEM are not even U S based for crying out loud.

Our government is also influenced to the advantage of at least one other foreign government. Israel actually has very powerful lobby in Congress.

Since when should another nation be able to influence our own? We have lost it. We need to get it back.

And we will not get it back w/o our people, recognizing the true problem and uniting and coming together as a force to take it back.

We could all waste our time and effort to impeach Obama, but what would that solve? Then you would have President Biden. He is not in charge. He is not in charge. None of them are.

I have had to show ID to vote here in Ohio EVERY time I have voted, whether local or national to prove I am who I am. I don’t mind, I usually thank them when they ask! You libbies SAY that there was no voter fraud, but when you don’t show ID to vote then how can you say with certainty?? It would be very easy to intimidate a person and convince them to not vote then go down and vote for them!

A couple of years ago I was on Interstate 55 in my big full size Chevy van–and I got pulled over. Did it bother me? NO. Vans carry the illegals up I55 to Chicago and everywhere else. I was glad the state troopers were doing their job. I did have to show my drivers license and van registration first and then they looked inside my van and saw 5 dogs. I told them I was on my way to a dog show, and we all laughed. I do not mind being pulled over, I just want the illegals to get caught and sent back to Mexico or wherever.

I am not reading any history that has been revised, I am an old lady and read many books.

Well, here’s what you need to do. File a CLASS ACTION LAWSUIT. On behalf of all U.S. citizens opposed to illegal immigration. THAT would be the overwhelming majority of voters, right?

Let me explain. Let’s set aside, temporarily at least, the questions about Obama’s true citizenship status, allowing him to [again, I must stress the word "TEMPORARILY"] pretend that his presidency is legitimate.

So, assuming arguendo, that Obama has the right to fulfill the duties of the presidency, here’s what the lawsuit I’m proposing should allege:

1. Obama violated his sworn oath as president to defend and protect U.S. citizens from foreign invasion.

2. Obama also violated his sworn oath to uphold and enforce the law.

3. Obama, while in office as both president and, before that, as senator, has committed countless CRIMES.

4. Obama has committed treason and seditious acts.

The relief requested in the lawsuit should include immediate PRELIMINARY relief, calling for a court order to COMPEL Obama to perform his duty as president to defend and protect U.S. citizens, and to uphold and enforce the law. See federal statute 28 USC Section 1361.

And the ultimate relief requested in that lawsuit should be to REMOVE Obama from office and sentence him to prison for all his crimes.

Additionally, after we have installed a GOP president in 2012, then there will be no blocks by the White House obstructing justice, so that proof can be obtained affirming that Obama is NOT a natural-born U.S. citizen, as the Constitution requires of a president. And once that has been established, THEN every single act by Obama in his capacity as president will be NULLIFIES and REVOKED. Do you understand what that would mean?

It means that the GOP president who replaces Obama will be able to REPLACE Sotomayor and Kagan on the Supreme Court, for starters. And re-do everything else than Obama did while in office.

Does that grab your attention? If so, then you need to get started right now on drafting that federal lawsuit. You can do it under the civil section of the RICO Act [federal statute 18 USC Sections 1961, et seq.]. Please read carefully what is said here:

If one of you are affiliated with a group who will file that lawsuit, please get them to do so. Tell them it will generate ENORMOUS publicity for them when the news hit that they are suing Obama.

The problem the border states (and most other states for that matter) have with their representatives and will continue to have as long as there are large numbers of illegals in our states is: most politicians who only worry about their one skin, believe they need the votes of the Hispanics (most of which support illegals and often help them vote illegally). And then there’s ALL the fraud voting that we go up against.

We need to face the fact that many legal Hispanics haven’t really bought into the idea that if you want to be a citizen of the United States you really need to divorce your allegiances from your former country and give it to your new country, it’s ways and beliefs. The politicians know this and apply that fact in all their thinking, speech and voting on the issues.

As long as there is a large block of voters that have sympathy for the illegals and will vote for them, we will have problems getting rid of the politicians who will support the illegals being here.

The only choice to get rid of these non-representing representatives that we may end up having is impeachment. Most of them are too afraid of losing votes to take a stand against illegal immigrants.

If we citizens could use the power we have with money and refuse to give our business to those businesses that will hire and provide services to illegals we may have a chance to save our country.

I believe it is time to require our states to issue drivers licenses that state “Documented Citizen” on them so that we can know who should be here and require a passport and visa be shown by all non-citizens who are here legally. If we refuse jobs and services to illegals, not only will we reduce our debt burden but they will eventually realize that they had it better in Mexico.

Then all we need to do is find a way to deal with the incarcerated illegals. Maybe we could require their relatives to pay for their support as in other countries. I wonder what Mexico does with their illegal prisoners. The road gang, a nice deterrent that our lily livered judges and politicians got rid of in years past, could also be used to provide some of their support.

Here’s what to do to remove Obama and all other traitors from office:

File a CLASS ACTION LAWSUIT. On behalf of all U.S. citizens opposed to illegal immigration. THAT would be the overwhelming majority of voters, right?
Let me explain. Set aside, temporarily at least, questions about Obama’s true citizenship status, allowing him to pretend that his presidency is legitimate.
Then, assuming arguendo, that Obama has the right to fulfill the duties of the presidency, here’s what the lawsuit I’m proposing should allege:
1. Obama violated his sworn oath as president to defend and protect U.S. citizens from foreign invasion.
2. Obama also violated his sworn oath to uphold and enforce the law.
3. Obama, while in office as both president and, before that, as senator, has committed countless CRIMES.
4. Obama has committed treason and seditious acts.
The relief requested in the lawsuit should include immediate PRELIMINARY relief, calling for a court order to COMPEL Obama to perform his duty as president to defend and protect U.S. citizens, and to uphold and enforce the law. See federal statute 28 USC Section 1361.
And the ultimate relief requested in that lawsuit should be to REMOVE Obama from office and sentence him to prison for all his crimes.
Additionally, after we have installed a GOP president in 2012, then there will be no blocks by the White House obstructing justice, so that proof can be obtained affirming that Obama is NOT a natural-born U.S. citizen, as the Constitution requires of a president. And once that has been established, THEN every single act by Obama in his capacity as president will be NULLIFIED and REVOKED. Do you understand what that would mean?
It means that the GOP president who replaces Obama will be able to REPLACE Sotomayor and Kagan on the Supreme Court, for starters. And re-do everything else than Obama did while in office.
Does that grab your attention? If so, then you need to get started right now on drafting that federal lawsuit. You can do it under the civil section of the RICO Act [federal statute 18 USC Sections 1961, et seq.]. Please read carefully what is said here:

Check the accuracy and logic tests before the computers start counting. To help protect your ballot if you vote absentee, (I have no choice) take it to your precinct on election day and put it in the ballot box–it will be less likely to be lost or not counted.

That health care bill was the result of this spineless President compromising right and left, so that it ended up being a give away to BIG PHARMA and the HEALTH CARE FOR PROFIT SYSTEM WE ALREADY HAVE. Yes we are the big losers, because Obama has no spine. Intelligent he is, but gutless, totally.

There are many different ideas or systems of how an economy should be run. The two most common are capitalism and socialism. They are very different in how they view who runs the economy. Most economies have ideas from both systems, but tend to be more of one than the other.

That is what we have too, a system that has ideas from both. Public utilities, public transportation, public highways, bridges, railways, fire departments, police departments, Social Security, Veteran’s Administration, FBI, CIA the Military are all socialized. At least to date, but if the NeoCons have their way, they will bust the system down so bad we will lose all our little bit of socialized benefits.

Already here in Utah it is against the law to collect rain water folks. What God gives us for free is no longer free. You think you want TOTAL CAPITALISM????? Careful what you wish for.

So take that part of the sentence…..and replace the word capitalism with Socialism…..

- The $2 Trillion Carbon Tax

- It even ignores the $3.4 trillion budget Congress passed and reverts to Obama’s original $3.5 trillion budget.

Simply put, Obama’s team is lying. As the Chicago Tribune reported, the “news” of the budget cuts grabbed the headlines even thought the supposed “cuts” were all in Obama’s original budget! There is nothing new. No new budget cuts. Obama has simply repackaged his bloated budget-ignoring Congress’ meager reductions-as a fiscally responsible document.
