Reid: 'I Don't Know How Anyone Of Hispanic Heritage Could Be A Republican'

Conservatives from around the country blasted Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid (D-Nev.) last week after the veteran lawmaker made some racially charged remarks while attempting to disparage Republican policies.
After being asked a question about the GOP’s recent attempts at immigration reform, the Nevada Democrat wondered aloud how people of Hispanic descent could favor the Right.
"I don’t know how anyone of Hispanic heritage could be a Republican, OK," Reid said at a campaign event in Las Vegas. "Do I need to say more?"
Republicans on the local, state and Federal level were quick to criticize Reid and suggest that the longtime Democrat is disconnected from Hispanic voters, who make up more than one-fourth of his state’s population. Some conservatives—including Republican Senate Committee spokesman Brian Walsh—said that the incident highlights Reid’s inability to see race outside of political terms, Fox5Vegas.com reports.
Marco Rubio, a Cuban-American Republican who is running for Senate, noted that Reid is incorrect in assuming that Hispanics would naturally favor Democratic policies, according to Politico.
"The reason why Americans of Hispanic descent should be Republicans is that the Democratic leadership is trying to dismantle the American free enterprise system, the only system in the world where parents like mine who work hard and play by the rules can give their children the opportunities they themselves did not have," he said.

I am thankful that Americans are waking up and realizing that organized crime is running our nation. They teach what they want you to know so as to benefit themselves and their growing secret empire. They secretly call themselves “Satan worshippers”/”the Kingdom of Satan”. They are everywhere in disguise but you can recognize them by wisely discerning their policies. They promote unconstitutional legislation; communism/socialism; high taxation and war, threats and sanctions over negotiation. They will do whatever it takes to divide and conquer by inciting hatred, anger, suspicion, contention and war of nation against nation, religion against religion, race against race, culture against culture, neighbor against neighbor. They make $billions on wars selling armaments to both sides. They will create problems (like drugs, pollution, false flag terrorist attacks, oil spills, open borders, economic recessions and depressions and plane crashes) and then use those threatening situations as excuses to enact tyrannical legislation like the “Patriot Act”, the “Homeland Security Act”, the “War on Drugs”, the bailouts, the Federal Reserve, the IRS, the Healthcare act, Cap and Trade. They especially thrive and prosper by setting up their lying and thieving bureaucracies like the Department of Health, Education and Welfare, Social Security, the Department of Homeland Security, Medicare, Medicaid, CHIPS, and many more by which they fill their pockets at the expense of the American taxpayers. They gain great power when they convince people to trust in government rather than trusting in God.

They have opposed just about everything, including many civil liberties you enjoy today. Heck, once upon a time they even opposed a woman’s right to vote. Now having said that, I do admit that at times ‘conservatism’ is a necessary evil to balance the ‘scale’ of power within our system of government. But now is not the time because they (conservative extrimism) tilted that balance so much that it flipped on its’ side. So, my advise to you, and to those of your political leaning, would be to stay the present course and, in a few more years when things are back on track, then, the necessary ‘evil’ I mentioned above might find its place again.

Mr. Reid isn’t just disconnected. He’s a case study in a personality that mimics an Alzheimer’s approach to reality. I really appreciate the fact Mr. Reid does not represent me in Congress.
Not too long ago, Mr. Reid’s chums wanted us to believe there are no black conservatives in America [ref. Clarence Thomas]. If I could be 20 years younger, I might want to try Mr. Reid’s favorite non-prescription, recreational drug.

Can Illegal Aliens get a valid drivers license? It’s my understanding that if they were pulled over for something unlawful then they could be asked for identification. If they and or I were pulled over for speeding etc, and we could not provide a valid drivers license then we could be arrested. It has always been that way. I don’t see what the problem is. I have forgotten my wallet before and sometimes I turn around and get it and sometimes I roll the dice and keep going knowing that if I get caught with out it I could potentially go to jail.
Yes, they can in most states, particularly if they get a false ID. But many states do not require any ID to apply now.
Why would an illegal alien get a driver’s license when they don’t need one to drive?

Next time you are stopped for anything just refuse to show it and see how far you get. Any police officer can ask anyone for ID and if they refuse to produce it they can be detained. Any non-citizen in this country is required to have their ID, passport with them and produce it upon request by law enforcement. The mosque they want to build at ground zero is a symbol of muslin victory and domination. No body is saying that it is not legal, everyone with a brain is saying that it is in bad taste and presents the wrong symbol. There are big questions about where the money is coming from and most people are not thrilled that Mr. Obama then sends this muslin to the Mideast to represent us at tax payer expense. Actually, it doesn’t. Contrary to popular belief, the Republican party is not a conservative party and hasn’t been for at least a decade and probably longer. The media still calls it a conservative party and Republicans try to convince people they are conservatives but few, if any, are. At best, Republicans are left leaning moderates. It’s why I no longer am a Republican. Ronald Reagan once said that he didn’t leave the Democrat party, it left him. That’s how I feel about the Republican party. Just a thought. Did you know the nickname “slick Willie” comes from a pool hall across the street from the Ark. State Capitol? He was always there instead at the office. If anyone wanted to talk to him about any legislation, they had to pay him $100 for a game of pool. As long as the game continued, they could talk. It’s really amazing how a Republican can say something so innocuous as when praising Strom Thurmond on his 100th birthday, Trent Lott said he would have made a great president. He said, “I want to say this about my state: When Strom Thurmond ran for president, we voted for him. We’re proud of it. And if the rest of the country had followed our lead, we wouldn’t have had all these problems over all these years, either.” Strom Thurmond, if you don’t know, was a Southerner who RENOUNCED racism and, in 1970, was one of the first Southern Senators to hire a black staffer. However, Trent Lott was DRUMMED out of office.

Dagney : Reid is still in office for two reasons. First, democrats support their candidates so strongly that they vote for them several times on election day. (Just ask ACORN.) Second, it is not yet the second of November. With any luck he will be leaving office in January of 2011.

I had the opportunity to work side-by-side with the Hispanic and Latino groups from the DCCCD in North Texas. As a group we were very diversified and honest with each other. We fought against the suppression of their voices together.
One thing I absolutely admired about these fine people was the fact that they did not like affirmative action. We all found common ground believing that every man and woman should be treated fairly and equal.
Now, a decade later…we are in a fight again, standing side-by-side for the same fight…only this time, we as Americans are, we are fighting for it on a broader playing field.
