What Websites Do You Read?

What Websites Do You Read?

In response to hundreds of reader inquiries—well, at least three—I’m going to devote this week’s column to describing some of the other websites I read every week. If some in the list below are new to you, I hope you’ll check them out. You may find yet another “must read” columnist you’ll want to check out every week.

But we’re also going to practice equal time here. I encourage you to use the comments section at the end of this week’s Straight Talk to tell me about a writer or website you find especially worthwhile. After all, the more readers the good guys and gals get, the better for all of us.

So what do I read every week? Here are nearly a dozen columns and columnists I commend to your attention.

*Personal Liberty Digest. What did you expect? Of course I’m going to mention my own publisher first. After all, this is where you’ll find three of my efforts every week—Straight Talk and Chip Shots on Friday and This Week in History on Wednesday. But PLD publishes a bunch of other important stuff every week. I find the columns by Bob Livingston and John Myers especially worth reading. I like the book reviews and letters to Bob as well. If www.personalliberty.com is not already white-listed as one of your favorites you should do that now.

*Human Events does triple duty for me. The weekly newspaper is one of the oldest conservative publications in the country. It’s been produced continuously since 1944, and while it’s sometimes a tad too “Republican” for me, every issue has a story that the mainstream media have somehow missed.

But Human Events isn’t just a newsweekly. It is also home to several columnists, including two of my all-time favorites, Ann Coulter and Pat Buchanan. Pat’s knowledge of history and his powerful defense of Americanist values are simply unmatched. And nobody can skewer liberals faster or with more deadly accuracy than Coulter. I usually like what she says; but I often love how she says it.

Thank goodness she gave up a law practice for journalism. Find them (and many others, including Newt Gingrich, Mike Huckabee and Chuck Norris) at www.humanevents.com.

*The New American is both a twice-a-month publication and an invaluable website; both are jam-packed with articles and opinion pieces you simply won’t find anywhere else. The magazine was formed by the merger of two previous publications—American Opinion, where I once contributed several articles, and The Review of the News, where I was the original news editor. TNA is owned by the John Birch Society, so you can count on getting a hard-right interpretation of the major stories of the day. Check it out at www.thenewamerican.com.

*Gary Bauer’s “End of Day Report.” I have long suspected that Gary is triplets; otherwise I don’t understand how he accomplishes as much as he does. His commentary on the day’s events in Washington is, as his website says, “unapologetically pro-family, pro-life, and pro-growth.” It is also unmistakably pro-Israel and pro-Christian. No pabulum here, nothing but strong red meat. See for yourself at www.cwfpac.com.

*Best of the Web Today (The Wall Street Journal Online). Nobody can accuse James Taranto of being unbiased. There isn’t a liberal politician or pundit he doesn’t delight in exposing. And I’ve got to tell you, he does it a lot better than most. He does it in depth, on several topics, nearly every day of the week. Unfortunately, this one is not a freebie—you have to be a subscriber to the online version of The Wall Street Journal to get it. But The Journal publishes so much other worthwhile material (including Peggy Noonan every Saturday) that I recommend signing up. Go to www.online.wsj.com and see if you don’t agree.

Politics isn’t all I read about, of course. In fact, my literary consumption these days is pretty evenly divided between politics, economics and history—with the occasional mystery story thrown in. So now let’s shift from the political battlegrounds to the economic ones. Here are some of my favorite financial websites.

*The Daily Reckoning was started by my friend Bill Bonner—the founder and president of Agora Publications—a dozen years ago, when he decided to “figure out this Internet thing.” What began as a daily commentary sent to a few friends over the Internet has grown into a publishing phenomenon, with a large stable of contributors—so many, in fact, that the daily ezine can’t hold them all. Nobody tells “truth to power” better than Bill. See for yourself at www.dailyreckoning.com.

*John Mauldin and Gary Halbert are two other friends who write a column every week about some truly important issues. John concentrates more on the economic side of the ledger (and often gives you more charts in one issue than I want to see in a month). But for those who like really thoughtful—and thought-provoking—economic analysis, go to www.investorsinsight.com and read a couple of his articles. Chances are you’ll be back for more.

While you’re at the Investors Insight website, do yourself a favor and read Gary Halbert’s latest essay. I particularly like the way Gary takes one major subject each week and really gnaws on it for a while. I have found his research to be impeccable, his analysis sound, and his conclusions sometimes frightening but always thoughtful. He is definitely another “worth your time” writer.

*Daily Wealth gives more genuinely valuable contrarian investment advice than any other website I know of. And they do it for free (if you don’t count all the ads you’ll receive) six times a week. I’ve known many of their columnists for years and consider them personal friends. But friendship aside, let me assure you, you could do a lot worse than to listen to Steve Sjuggerud, Tom Dyson and Daily Wealth’s other contributors. You’ll find them at www.dailywealth.com.

So there you have it—almost a dozen columnists and commentators who are on my “must read” list every week. Of course there are many other writers whose work I enjoy and many other websites I use in my research. But these are the ladies and gentlemen I would read every week, whether I had a column to write or not.

So please give them a look; you just might like them. And not only like them, but learn from them as well.

Now, I look forward to learning from you.

Until next time, keep some powder dry.

UCH ANN COULTER I WILL NEVER READ THESE NEWS REPORTS OR DO I WATCH THE LIARS AT FOX

    • eddie47d

Ann Coulter is a very dangerous propagandist and has very low standards.

      • TIME

        Oh Eddieeee,

Ann is a real hoot, both in her writting and in person even more so after all she is a real A type.
But as we have seen by your post, Eddieee you don’t like Girls now do you.
So a real strong Woman is way out of the question for you, I can see how she may make you pee your pants in fear of what she may say to you, my God a strong Woman with a real sense of humor and has a really high IQ too.

Hey, you can’t beat the material she uses, as she just displays what the buffoons own words, so everyone can see the real humor in them.

Perhaps better said the total lacking of any “logic or common sense” spoken by the nut jobs that run this country, and she never holds back on anyone, now thats a good thing.

She is dam funny, I like her a lot.

And you know whats best of all, she is not even having to try hard to make these bufoons look as stupid as they are, they do it all on their own, she just points out the irony of the mindless dribble they speak, also known as Babble ON-A.

        They just think we are all to stupid to understand them, with speaches like this one from the Babble On-a play book page 101;
“Uh hum, well, oh, hum uh uh its a its a, hum well kind of well, like uh uh hum, oh an a oh hum yes, hum, oh a ahua duh, Hate; yea thats it, an hum hu ho oh a duh dee doo duh.

Democratic speach plate number 2, and its a number 2 in more than one way!

Now please pay $30K for this great show. And don’t forget we also have a special pledge drive called the duh, for dummies starting next month, so just open your check book and let us do write the check amounts.

      • DaveH

I don’t always agree with Ann Coulter, but she is extremely intelligent and quick witted. I worry about her. I think she is going to send herself to an early grave if she doesn’t learn to relax more.

      • TIME

        Dave,
Its strange how many folks think my wife is Ann, I kid you not we get that nearly every time we go out.
They look very much alike, strange they think alike too!

It Must be something in the water in New England, LOL..:-)

      • DaveH

My daughter looks a lot like Ann too. And she’s also very straight-laced. The funny thing is that she was very rebellious in her early teens. But, I practiced what I preach. When she came to live with me at age 16 (mother could no longer handle her), I was working in a different state and only home on the weekends. I told her I wasn’t going to tell her what to do, but she had to pay for her own mistakes. She was wilder than I was as a teenager (pretty wild), and she made plenty of mistakes, but she had nobody to rebel against. So she learned from her mistakes instead of stubbornly repeating them to spite a controlling parent, as is the usual case. Now, as a 30 year old parent, she is more domesticated than the vast majority of people.

      • s c

Eduardo, thanks for ‘opening the door’ again. You, in your own special way, have defined a typical progressive for America. A progressive is a propagandist who tends to have a very low IQ. By the way, you forgot to piss and moan about GB – again.

      • http://donthaveone Beberoni

Are you threatened when someone tells the truth and exposes your buddies eddie? How can you stand by people who give lawyers to terrorists trying to kill us? How can you stand by people who want to let muslims build 2 towers to rub it in our face on ground zero? Are you a friggin mad man? You like people who want to raise your taxes and raise business taxes, so that millions of people can lose their jobs? You like the thought of them taking money from the working, and give it to joe crack dealer so that he doesnt have to work? Are you kidding me eddie? Or are you one of these terrorists or worthless pieces of crap that are living on the public dole? Are you eddie? If so, you need to get a job, or move to Iran where you will fit it with people who think like you do, because your out of touch with reality pal. Your a sick man.

    • Pathfinder

Elaine : Thanks for showing us all just how open minded you liberals are.

  • Larry S

Thanks for the tips Chip and all of the rest of you for your additional suggestions.

  • Michelle G.

Don’t forget Michelle Malkin’s site and Drudge Report!

  • Harold Olsen

I’m glad NewsMax wasn’t included in the list. They are, basically, the conservative version of MSNBC. With MSNBC Democrats can do no wrong and Republicans can do no right. With NewsMax, Republicans can do no wrong and Democrats can do no right. Both are hypocrites, though.

    • Earl, QUEENS, NY

Based on Harold Olsen’s comparison, I have to say that Newsmax is nearly 100% right and MSNBC is nearly 100% wrong. Of course, we first need to discount some RINOs and GOP wimps who’ve pandered to the Democraps. After JFK, what have the democraps ever done right?? Just look back 5 years, when th egOP controlled both Congress and The White House. How much better off America and its economy were back then!! The 2006 and 2008 elections have surely had negative consequences. And the latter has proven to be a disaster!!!!!

      • Lyle Brunckhorst

All levels of government and both parties have been both infiltrated by progressives and have become corrupted by the system which is run by crooks who have been in power for far too long.

Can you think of a better reason for term limits?

      • DaveH

If I thought term limits would work, I’d be all for them. They won’t. There is no substitute for an educated electorate.
Don’t be afraid to talk politics to your progressive acquaintances. They have gotten this far by cowing good people with their name-calling, ridicule, fabricated facts, and other childish manipulative tactics. Learn the facts. Stand up to the creeps. Point out their manipulative tactics for others to see. Don’t let them silence you. That is the only way they can succeed, because their ideas have been disproven dramatically by experience.
And above all, we need to take the education system back. That is their main tool – propagandizing our mentally defenseless children. Once propagandized, it is difficult to get them back because everybody wants the Good Life about which progressives Hope and Dream.
So it’s easy to embrace the false progressive indoctrination. It’s not so easy to embrace the reality that to be successful we must work hard, sacrifice, and take educated risks.

        Dave H,

I could not agree more! I wish I had even more time to research, so I could use even more of their own ammunition for their snooze alarm wake-up call. For now and until I retire, I’ll continue to rely on Fox News for more balance coverage than the MSM stations, and will continue reading what I can and visiting PL’s website to find information provided by you and others of like thought.

      • Bob

Newsmax is a clone of Fox News.

  • sixgun98

I couldn’t go a week without reading WorldNetDaily…. it is an outstanding enews source.

  • Grey Wolf

I really enjoy Alex Jones & his web sites: PrisonPlanet.com & Infowars.com. Alex has great guests on his radio show everyday.
It’s 12-4 P.M. CST & comes live from Austin TX M-F on both of his web sites. He even has a live broadcast on Sunday, 4-6 P.M. CST.
He is very emotional & concerned about the current state of affairs in this country & around the world. Check out his DVDs including “Fall of the Republic”, the “Obama Deception”, etc.
Great articles from around the globe including some of the news they the MSM seem to loose!

    • TIME

Gray Wolf, Alex is very interesting indeed.

I find the Patriot Post, http://patriotpost.us, absolutely invaluable. Also, renewamerica.com is good.

I move around the nation really, feeling this offers a more rounded view of what happening and what peoples reaction to it.

I enjoy firefox Goolge and have removed all sports and hollywood fodder

making more room for meat and potatoes. ~ The personal preference feature of the browser, customs ~ my viewing pleasure. ~ BBC , LA Times, Wall Street, New York City are all standard, everyday viewing.

I have made the decision to remove all TV viewing from my home in recent weeks, finding it just too Carnival in nature and have resigned to DVD’s to enhance my viewing pleasure. It’s hard to get use too at first but I feel an wise decision, for controlling both ones habits and mind can be a taunting task.

As for myself, ~ I find a topic of great interest, ~ I dig out the details and attempt to assimilate the issue by all means possible, where ever it takes me. One usually learns more more this way, lots of peripheral data comes forward.

BuT I sure don’t look to FOX unless I’m interested in what Al & Tipper are getting along or if Michell.

I love music and art as well, this always holds great amusement and eats up my viewing time.

    • Palin12

      Bob
This may be the first time I’ve ever agreed with you, but I pretty much also watch only DVDs on TV. Commercials are a waste of my time. I never buy anything because of some dumbass commercial. I only watch the networks during playoffs. And I sure as hell won’t watch Harry Reid spending his millions on attack ads.

      • Bob Wire

see ! we can agree and disagree without being disagreeable.

But I accept my place and status here, I’m the sand in the KY and not looking for the love.

I do attempt to view both sides ~ it’s a curse of birth I’d wish on no one. Not received very well except a by a few shapeshifter’s like myself that loves to put people to the test. Some think I’m nuts, some I’m bright. ~ I am neither, just playful and fearless.

I’ve paid the price for my follies and think everyone else should pay for theirs. So my compassion is in short supply and limited.

We get lost in the issues ~ but it’s about tomorrows American that truly my greatest concern, It’s not about money !

        It’s about what money does.

      • http://?? Joe H.

        Bob,
If you think everyone should pay for their own follies, then why do you support Nobama? He’s trying to make the haves pay for the will not earns!!

      • TIME

        Bob,

I think you make many good points dude. You see we are also alike in the form of shapeshifter’s, its all about the sprit to be able to live at peace in the sprit world, when we become dust again.

I read the online version of the Washington Times daily. It has news that the Main Stream Media does not have or does not cover properly. It has a number of solid conservative columnists. Ted Nugent is becoming a favorite with his no holds barred comments. Wesley Pruden is a longtime favorite.

Website address for World Net Daily is worldnetdaily.com and for Newsmax is newsmax.com

  • WDog

Chip, with all respect for your column (which I read regularly)I must insist you open the discussion on economics to the Austrian perspective.. Please invite your readers to consider the Daily Bell, at http://www.thedailybell.com. Covering economics, business trends, politics, and cultural meme’s, the Daily Bell has provided some of the most insightful and though provoking articles of our time.
With that, I pose the question to you and your readers…have we missed the bus entirely by thinking “central banking” has the capacity to outsmart “economics”?

    • s c

WDog, many people on this site have no idea what you’re talking about. It’s a combination of proof that public education doesn’t work and the fact that Americans can get comfy with anything if they let themselves do it.
Progressives have NO idea what you mean (and they don’t want to learn). It’s a sad fact of life that we need to learn political, business, government and religious facts BEFORE we turn 18. Then, it’s up to the individual to sift and sort the crap from the truth.
The best we can do is to filter what we see, hear and read. Part of that process is to rely on very little from newspapers and TV. Books, magazines, the internet and people who have re-educated themselves is “where it’s at.”
      Up the rebels!

      • Bob Wire

I confess ~ the central banking system alludes me. ~ And have more or less accepted whatever “wrong” is there ~ I have no control of.

Am I wrong in this assumption?

        >”The best we can do is to filter what we see, hear and read. Part of that process is to rely on very little from newspapers and TV. Books, magazines, the internet and people who have re-educated themselves is “where it’s at.”<

I understand the nature of your assessment ~ please direct my feet to some 101 introduction to this matter, is that even possible?

      • Ms. B J Zeagler

What a great idea. Sharing reading that one can trust. I personally love Heritage Foundation esp. the Morning Bell. I wouldn’t let a week go by without listening to & reading all transcripts from Rush Limbaugh. I to love Wall Street Journal when I find articles on line.
I love Media Research Center, esp. CyberAlert. I read Redstate Morning Briefing with Erick Erickson. Daily Caller & Natonal Review are new for me & I love them too. Last but not least, Personal Liberty Digest. There is so much good information out everyone should be well informed. There is also some very bad trash floating around & it is good for people to know the good things that they can trust.

      • Bob

As a reader of Human Events since 1946 I’ve learned my position in life. I’m very surprised that I haven’t seen the name Victor Davis Hansen writer, historian and a man who knows how to explain in everyday language what is really happening in relation to history. I’m old enough to know history often repeats it’s self and is a great teacher.

        Bob

      • s c

B, your first mistake was in saying ‘alludes.’ The CORRECT term is ‘eludes.’ Your arrogance is so predictable, B. By the way, did you ever get past a 101 level course in any subject? You have so much to learn, and so little time to do it, progressive.
This topic deals with websites that people read. Can you read? I rarely have a reason to think you ever learned.

      • Bob Wire

I’ll take, that as an anal retentive “NO”, there nothing that you or I can do about it. Which is kind of what I thought, the central banking system is here to stay.

I’ll admit sc, you are in an exclusive club all unto yourself. Thanks for gracing us with your infinite wisdom on such matters and your grammar correction. The next time I have a grammar question, you’ll be the first person that comes to mind.

Considering the printed word makes up the bulk of my political and professional intake, needless to say, I read well enough to be self employed, raise a family, create jobs and be self reliant in spite of government since 1978, which I darn say, few can boast and I have no intentions too.

I must confess, I started out lacking in many ways and have always worked to improve, I consider myself a student to this day. Not such an Authoritarian as you, but wise enough to see charm school and BS both lacking and abundance in your banter with the refusal to address a simple question in a civil manner. ~

My guess is, “one” must buy into a premise ” a package of goods” before any of it starts to make any sense. One must buy the goods to ever obtain the enlightenment that you suggest. They must open their eyes and consider grassy knoll issues.

Why don’t you just admit it ~ if it wasn’t for other people, you could be a happy camper? You are unhappy and want everyone to share your pain. They deserve the pain for making you miserable ! So? How’s that working for you?

      • Lyle Brunckhorst

SC I was in the process of learning some new news sources for my ongoing education and then I realized after reading your aspiring post that I may just as well shut my computer down because after all, I’m just one of those uneducated morons who can’t read.

Second thought, maybe I’ll just shut you down and ignore your caustic and sarcastic posts, pardon the sarcasm.

      • BrotherPatriot

The central banking system is NOT here to stay. As the awakening continues…the grass root movement is goin to address this problem as well but all in due time. One baby step at a time…in essense. You guyz have had years to implement all the damage done to America…it will take awhile to fix it…but fix it, we shall.

We’ll get rid of the Federal Reserve and print our own money just like Lincoln and JFK were about to do. This time we’ll not let up and allow the Elites to continue to control us through assasination or intimidation. The American Patriot is awake & mad as hell. By printing our own money, this will break the Elites hold on us…all the while we will reveal their agenda & connections and unravel the damage done. The Elites time is coming to a end. Down with the NWO!

      • Vicki

End the central banking system? Easy enough if you have a plan.

        1. Audit the Fed. (campaigns/112)
        2. Free competition in currency (campaigns/85)
        3. enumerated powers (campaigns/87)

All this and more at http://www.downsizeDC.org

Look at the upper left green bar for the “campaigns” tab.

then send a message on one or more of the campaigns there each day.
They will notice. The end of the central banking system could be in our lifetime.

      • Bob

Thanks SC I didn’t think I would see the word Progressive today. Thank YOU

When so many EXPERT economists have been wrong (stagflation, dot-com bubble, housing bubble, welfare state, dollar devaluation, European & world inflation, etc) the Austrian economists have consistently hit the mark each time based on the Austrian principles.

Go to http://mises.org/media.aspx and look for the Beginners Guide. That’s a good place to start.

      • Bob

Alot of these economists are paid by corporations and foundations and have to say what they are told to keep those checks coming.

Thank Dave ~ I really am interested in this ~ I’ll gladly admit, I just don’t know about such things. ~ It’s a void I need to correct.

Why is it so hard for people to say “I just don’t know?”

it’s hard thing to do. ~ It leaves a person open and subject to attack.

much like sc did me. ~ I’m a tough enough to take a “hit” and not fall down. In fact, I will come back, loving a good fight.

I will look into this Dav ~ and thanks!

      • DaveH

Good for you, Bob. Don’t let anybody silence you.

      • Al Sieber

DaveH, thanks for the links, I passed them on to a bunch of people.

      • Anthony

@ DaveH,. Bob, and all –

I would not leave out, nor forget, Bob Livingston’s own recommendation of the highly intensive research from -

        Thomas J. DiLorenzo

If you haven’t gotten around to reading what he brings to the dinner table, then you are missing the main meal.

Thomas not only writes historically – he also writes economically.

      • AnhydrousBob

I just finished “The Real Lincoln”. What a great book – any recommendations on which one to read next?

      • Vicki

Thanks for the links DaveH. More reading for me :)

Note to everyone interested in economics.

Supply/demand equation, like gravity, effects EVERYTHING. Even the objects we use for “money”. Which is why we KNOW that “inflation” is coming and is as avoidable as gravity.

      • Biene Vallee

Who exactly do you mean by eighteen? Who are you including/excluding? Have you seen the current crop of eighteen-year-olds? These kids can barely spell their own name, get out of bed on time for school, and race to nearest friend’s house to do their daily dose of drugs! Ah, but I did sort of leave out those that don’t go to school, and I think they outnumber those that do!!!! Maybe I live in the wrong part of my country.

      • http://?? Joe H.

        Biene Vallee,
Not so on all of them. My twenty year old daughter is nothing like that! In high school, she went to college as well and had her associates by the time she graduated. At eighteen, she was working and attending college going for her bachelors degree. She won’t let us pay anything except her books, prefering to EARN her way, so she took a couple of quarters off to work and build her savings back up and will be attending Cleveland State in the fall. Might be me, but that doesn’t sound like what you describe!!! Oh, and by the way she is a conservative!!! There are quite a few just like her, if you choose to look!!!

      • Claire

JoeH– Good for you and good for your daughter- You did a great job as a parent. I am glad you posted your reply. It should make a person realize there are still some good kids out there.

      • http://?? Joe H.

        claire,
I know they say pride goeth before the fall, but I can’t help it I am proud of her!

      • Claire

JoeH–We are fortunate. You have every right to be proud of your daughter. I feel the same way about my son. Of course, my son is older but he was always a good kid and now he is 48 years old, and it makes me wonder where the years went. He is truly a good person.

      • http://?? Joe H.

        Claire,
After our handicapped son was born, it was hard to consider having another child so we had her later than we would have. I am so thankful that we did. I don’t know, maybe we were a little more at ease with her and it made a difference but we are so proud of her and love her more than she will ever know as we do with all three of our kids!!

      • Al Sieber

SC, good post, you said it all.

      • Pathfinder

SC : I thank W Dog for at least mentioning the austrian neo-classical school of economics. Whether Ludwig Von Mises, or his mentor Von Bohmbewerk these are both excellent (but decidedly not easy to read).
Von Mises’ book “Human Action” (a fairly thick tome) has some of the finest refutations of marxist theory that I have ever seen. This re-emergence of free market economics is a great antidote to the Kensyian poison that has been tried and has failed so miserably.

    • AnhydrousBob

      WDog,
Thanks for the tag to TheDailyBell – I didn’t know about them.

As DaveH has mentioned elsewhere in this column, I, too, have been visiting http://mises.org/ for some time and get the mises daily email.

  • http://donthaveone Beberoni

If you care to actually hear the truth, there is only one news outlet, and that is Fox News. If you want the left wing liberal propaganda with an agenda, then tune into ABC, NBC, CBS, CNN and MSNBC. You will get your fill of out and out lies to support their own pitiful agenda.

    • marvin

      Beberoni add cnn and hln

      • http://?? Joe H.

        marvin,
Let’s not forget BBC. I get a lot of news on it that I don’t get on the alphabet news!

      • http://donthaveone Beberoni

        I have CNN on there.

      • Harley

        Beberoni:

I have to ask… What do you find so great about the Clinton News Network aka CNN???

    • Michael J.

      Beberoni,
I agree with you completely. However, I have found a good use for watching MSNBC. On occasion, after eating something that does not agree with me and I feel the urge to purge, I found that watching Kieth Matthews, Chris Olberman or Rachel Mannow can be the equivalent of sticking my finger down my throat. So in essence, their product is not a complete loss, it contains medicinal value.

      • banndavis

I could not have stated it better myself!

      • Norm

        Michael J.
        Rachel Maddow
        Keith Olbermann
        Chris Matthews
I can see how much you’ve watched their shows.

      • Michael J.

Ah, ya gotme there Normie Babie. Ya see, with this cast iron gut, I don’t get ill often. So there is seldom a necessity for me to stomach those Three Stooges. BTW, when is Moe Mannow gonna get one of those Kirk Douglas cleft chin digits? That’s the only thing needed to complete the image.

      • Fed Up Gal in NM

        Michael J.,

Is this the Michael J. (from Texas) that always rides in on his “prarie dog”? Sure sounds like it…..and sure hope it is! Great to see your posts on here.

As usual….Norm must have been attending another meeting of the mindless…so guess he missed the part of your comments where you said “on occasion”.

      • Michael J.

        Howdy Fed up Gal,
Good to hear from you, havn’t seen your postings in awhile. As for myself, I tend to monitor things here and do less posting until the Obambie Zombies come out. Then I sorta reach down from above and whack-em back into shape, Heh,Heh,Heh.
Unil next time, keep up the fight, and remember, “2012 The End of an ERROR”

      • Fed Up Gal in NM

        Hey there Michael,

I have not been posting very much lately either; lots going on at home and work…so not as much time. I took a few days off and am getting a couple of home chores up to snuff and have had a little more time to post on here the past couple of days.

I will be glad when the PL website updates are completed and hope they will add some tools to use for sorting topics and posters by name, date, etc….which should save a lot of time and enable me to participate more consistently…not to mention reduce my tendonitis flare-ups (mostly from scrolling to find new comments, etc)…LoL. Until then, I will just try and check in on occassion in hopes of viewing posts by friends like you, Libertytrain, JoeH, DaveH and many others whose posts make me think, sometimes reonsider my viewpoints, and always make me smile.

        Have a great week Michael!

      • Fed Up Gal in NM

Ooooops! I left out Jeff H, Beberoni, AngelWannaBe, Claire and others I’m sure. Sorry about that; wasn’t meant to be a slight.

      • rwnut

        mICHAEL j….I’m lovin’ it!

      • DaveH

        Fed Up Gal,
You can use your Browser’s Find Function to easy highlight all comments by a particular person on your current web page. You can also use it to search by date. The character strings need to be exact, but not complete. So, for example, putting in Soc would result in Socialist, Soccer, or Socrates being found.
If you want to find something on the entire website, use your browser’s Search feature and the qualifier “Site:” with the website’s name immediately following and then space with search name or phrase. Say, for instance, I wanted to search for everything Al Sieber has said on this site. I would type “site:personalliberty.com Al Sieber says” (without the quotes) in my browser’s search field.

      • DaveH

Correction: “site” needs to be lowercase as in the example.

      • Fed Up Gal in NM

        Dave H,

OMGoodness!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Thanks so much for the information on how to use my browser for searching on PL’s site for specific posters, comments, etc. I will definitely give this a try (especially during the week and when I have less time to devote here). That will surely help until PL updates the site as Bob Livingston mentioned a few months ago. Thanks again, Dave!

P.S. BTW — I use my browser for searching lots of info; I just didn’t know I could use my browser for searching something while in a specific website page (I thought the only search option while in that site, would be the site’s search field). Just to clear up, so I don’t look completely computer illiterate :-) .

      • http://?? Joe H.

        Fed Up Gal,
I feel honored to be included on that list, thank you!!!

      • Fed Up Gal in NM

Anytime JoeH. I’m in great company!

      • http://donthaveone Beberoni

What was Rachel Maddow’s name when she was a man before her operation?

      • Da Norseman

Keith Olbermann, Chris Matthews, Rachel Maddow. During the heydays of the old Soviet Union and the Cold War, any state-run media outlet over there would have been more than happy to embrace those three for their anti-American views, especially Olbermann who probably would have received medals worn like the ones worn by those dying Bolsheviks in the Politburo like Brezhnev, Andropov and Chernenko.

      • http://donthaveone Beberoni

Keith Olberman is an upchuck waiting to happen. I have never seen a person ever pervert the truth like that man does. He sucked when he was on ESPN and couldnt even report sports in the truth.

    • http://infowars.com Rick

fox news is certainly better than the others mentioned however they are basically “one worlders” with rupert murdoch at the helm and a
saudi prince owning a significant equity portion of fox.

also pse let it be noted that fox new is pro war, pro staying in irag forever pro staying in afghanistan forever and pro attacking iran. where are we going to get the money for this since the country is already broke about 10x over. also what are the goals of being in irag & afghanistan…i have absolutely no idea..do you?? is it to fight the taliban which emerged from the muhahadeed which was set up by our cia??? you tell me!! also i think we should pull all resources out of afganistan & irag and concentrate on our southwest border where us citizens’ property rights and right to life are being violated every day. the only websites that approach delivering the truth are infowars.com and zerohedge.net…ever hear of either of these???

      • Pathfinder

Yes, I have heard of infowars. I don’t use them much; but the few times I have, they were fine. Let me second Chip’s recomendation of THE NEW AMERICAN. I have been so favorably impressed by TNA that I am a subscriber. I am especially impressed by their “Freedom Index” issue which lists voting records for ALL senators and representatives. I have not tried AMERICAN THINKER before; but based on recomendations here, I think I will give that a try.

      • Bob

I like Infowars because they have alot of good patriotic guests like Jesse Ventura, Bob Chapman, Paul Craig Roberts and many others.
Try American Free Press.net or Chuck Baldwin Live.com. Chuck Baldwin has a list of patriotic preachers in every state and businesses that you can patronize
For health info go to Natural Solutions Foundation.com. Also very good.

    • Norm

      Beberoni

Fox is right wing extremism. MSNBC is left wing extremism. CNN and the majors are fairly straight and neutral.
You just happen to think the far right is the middle

      • DaveH

        Norm,
You have been watching extreme left news so long that the Middle-ground looks like far-right to you.
Take those blinders off. Read some alternative points of view. It won’t hurt too much, I promise.

      • Norm

        DaveH
I watch and read almost everybody’s point of view. I agree with some and not with others.
Judging from Chip’s reading list, he and most folks on this site, are not quite as open minded.
May I suggest you read Mother Jones Online and the New York Time’s web site just for balance.

      • DaveH

        Norm,
I grew up with the biased Liberal Media. I’ve read enough of their pie-in-the-sky crap to last the rest of my years. So, no thanks.

      • Claire

        Norm–Do you read The Nation?

      • Pathfinder

Norm : I think that you are confusing an open mind with a hole in the head.

      • Pathfinder

Norm : I find that the New Yuck Times is about as truthful as The Globe and The Weekly World News I don’t bother with such fishwrap. Besides, I can always count on all the liberal sheeple to rebleat what they have been told by the American Brainwash Corporation (ABC), the National Brainwash Corporation (NBC), the Columbia Brainwash System (CBS), the Misinformed Syncophants of NBC (MSNBC), and the Clinton News Network (CNN). So I am well informed regarding the message of these “fair and balanced” news outlets. BTW, weren’t these the same news stations that told the American public that Obama was a “moderate” ??

      • http://donthaveone Beberoni

Norm, I highly suggest you read a book called “Hell to Pay”. It involves some of your hero’s. You might want to read it and find out a few things.

      • http://none Chip Wood

I read the New York Times on line every day. Well, let me correct that. I skim as much of it as I can stand. I do sometimes read their columnists and editorials, so I know what the enemies of freedom will be doing next.

        Chip Wood

      • TIME

Oh Yes Norm, CBS and ABC, MSN, oh yes NBC of what MSNBC is the parent Co. of both MSN and NBC ~~~WOW ~~~ and thats such a stretch for that vast pool of brain power that you display daily.

Yes, for sure thay are all just super news outlets for that “fair and well balanced non bias news” that you speak of.

Kind of makes me think back to 9 / 09 when only the German & Italian news as well as the BBC got the proper count of well over 1.5 Million people who went to DC, and yet on NBC and all the rest there were just a few thousand people there according to that “FAIR and WELL BALANCED” news you speak of.

That logic kind of flys in the face of TRUTH, keeping in mind that there were { NO Hotels No Motels, or any other kind of logging avaliable} for 3 days during this event.

Let alone DC Police, The Hill Police, The Park Police, The FBI, The CIA, The Capatil Police, and The SS, The NSA, all are quoted that no “less” than 1.4 million people were in attendance at this event.

But again why let the “Facts or the TRUTH” stand in the way of such fine Rhetoric that one can be lulled into with the outstanding news nets you speak so highly of.

And is it not Strange how TIME Magazine seemed to forget that the TEA PARTY was a major part of 2009, or that the 9 /09 even even took place!

You know Norm the news nets you speak of I am shocked you failed to note the best of them, Vlad Tepes the Impaler’s net, you know “Dracula’s” news network its even better than NBC, or CBS an ABC, for really fair and well balanced news.
Just watch it afterall its also owned by the same people as NBC and all the rest the Great news nets you quote are so good.

      • Norm

        TIME
You sure have an attidude problem. That’s odd for a good black Christian. You did say you were black didn’t you?

      • TIME

Oh Norm, For Gods sake dude being any color is a state of mind, and only if you allow yourself to be a victim.
You are what you make of yourself, I am not a Victim.

Nor will I eat cow pies down at the old Marxist Bar & Grill and think I am eating a Black Angus Buger due to Uberman or Madcow telling me it is, and if kaite told me the sun was out, man you bet I would check for myself.
I also I know I am not eating my uncle Angus.

You claim I have a bad attitude ~~ dude, You make me LMAO,;-)
My caustic attidude is no differant than any real A type, its part of the package. I also have a very clear knowledge of whos who in the game, something your clearly not on board with.

Now you have a nice day, go watch Some Vlad Tepes Impaler network news.
Its gurranteed to “stick to your ribs and leave you standing” every time. ;-)

      • http://?? Joe H.

        Time,
norm seems to get a large diet of the NY slimes!! I guess that DOES explain his case of liberal constipation!!!

      • Oh Please…

LOL…all I can say Norm is that it is PATHETICALLY laughable for you to state that TIME has an attitude problem when it is sooo obvious (through this and a number of your other posts) that it is YOUR attitude that has issues. Since you claim to have such an ‘open mind’ I suggest you open it a little further and actually try to digest what TIME has to say….perhaps you might learn something!

      • Norm

        Time
Me Tarzan you Jane. I am THE alpha male.
Give me a break. You are not only arrogant, but a obviously a legend in your own mind. Lapp up that Alpo you dog you!

      • Norm

        Oh Please
I’ll digest what Time has to say when he has something sensible to say. All I see is an arrogant little man pretending to be something he’s not – intelligent.

      • TIME

        Oh Norm,
You know some day when the light goes on your going to awake to a whole new world.

Now really Norm you know I crap chunks of people larger than you daily, thats why you say the stupid things over and over to me.
Just as I will glady insult you time after time, as I see right through you like a clear glass window.

I have no issue with folks being in disagreement with me, but they have to have some “common sense,” thats something you lack totaly.

You have lived your life in a “safe little tight box” and never ventured out to see the real world around you.

Something I just could not do, as for me it was to live my dreams and I have done so and will continue to do so, and if that means to insult quasi Liberals; then I will do it with a smile it my JOB as an REAL AMERICAN.

I hate posers & I hate marxist, man you are a real hard core case of a total poser. Also keep in mind this word Norm, {Syntax} I do know far more about “all of you” than you know, thats part of what I have to know for my job.

Also lets get real Norm, the facts are you hate the idea that someone of color made it on their own.

So – don’t give me that do do goodie Quasi Liberal BS. I deal with your type daily and have done so for the last 60 years or, all my life, so I am a real expert on this topic.

Thus I know one, when I see one, I bet your calling me the N word right now, as the term “little arrogant” from your post is what everyone calls anyone of us who dare step out of the little box’s people like you make for us.

You know what Norm, there still HOPE for you, So you just keep on keeping on Norm Bro! :-)

      • kate8

Way to go, TIME. You wiped the floor with ol’ Normie.

BTW, TIME, I find your posts enlightened and refreshing, with a perspective that not all of us have. Norm is just sour grapes. I rarely even bother to read his posts.

      • TIME

        Kate,

I find it so sad that the standards the “quasi liberals” use are so preverted, yet I read / hear and listen to the drum beats of being “open minded.”

Saddly all from persons who are 99.99% so closed minded that its more like quad fold a steel trap without air vents.

Hows that open minded? BTW, Thanks for the kind words.

      • Pathfinder

Hey Norm : If TIME is not a liberal; then he is NOT really black, right ?? Norm, you have just shown yourself to be a racist pig. Why can’t blacks be conservative ?? I’ll bet you throw oreo cookies at Thomas Sowell, or Walter Williams whenever you are within range to do so.

      • Bruce

        Norm Sir,
I know TIME well and let me dispell your delusions.
TIME is the most genuine down to earth big hearted people I have ever known. He puts his money where his mouth is he puts his time and enerys into projects and never stops until he gets results.
He got a local Hospital to set up a FREE clinic for really sick kids whos parents work but just don’t have the extra money to pay out or the take the chance of loosing their jobs taking time off work.
He pays out of his pocket yearly what I make just to make sure that this stays running and he has never asked for anything in return not even to be noted as the one who did it.
Last year he set up a program for kids with cancer that they get to meet Rock & Roll stars, Base Ball stars, or ride a horse, or just to go on a trip to someplace they want to go.
This is the man you make such mean statments about.

      • http://donthaveone Beberoni

You fail to consider Norm, that a lot of us have seen things, and know the facts on things, then when we turn on some of these liberal whack jobs, and know without a doubt they are lying through their teeth, so why would we bother watching them? Sometimes Norm it is so obvious that they are lying to support their agenda or protect one of their liberal beliefs, that I dont understand why anyone would tune back in to thier drivel. I wont. And Im no rocket scientist Norm, but boy do I hate liars and being lied to, and when these liberals do it, and know they are doing it, and expect me to believe it because they said so, no no Normy, homey dont play that. Im not participating in their lets tell a lie show. If you cant tell the difference between truth and lies, then its you that has the problem, not me.

      • Alex

MSNBC is to the Left, for sure. But not far Left, not by a long shot!
There is no far Left outlet that I can find on teevee, and I watch satellite—the closest to my way of thinking is LinkTV. Aside from LinkTV, PBS and MSNBC, for the most part represent my views, though they do not go far enough Left.

The Left is right, and always has been.

      • Gorba

It’s what they don’t report that makes them far left

      • http://donthaveone Beberoni

Exactly Gorba, exactly. They dont report the truth, because it would expose their guys. My gosh, could you imagine the reporting if Bush wanted to plant an Islamic Tower on 9-11 ground? This is outrageous that this muslim president wants to do this, and it shows his colors. The national news media should be crucifying him for this, but they paint it pink and soften it and make it so its ok. Unbelievable. All the democrats that got caught cheating on taxes, it just went away didnt it. Amazing again. Gee, do you think if a Republican or Libertarian did this crap, that they would glaze it over and make it go away. No, I think not. You are exactly right Gorba. Its what they dont report that shows their demonic left color.

      • rwnut

      • Dora

Boy Norm, you really should get your blinders off. MOST of the news has sold out to Socialism, Marxism or Communism. Go to your search engine and type in 45 Long Term Communist Goals for America which was filed in our congressional records in 1963 and read them and see how far America has gone on the road to Socialism – all three of the isms drink from the same cup.

The 3 stooges Glen, Sean and Rush are entertainers. Just as are the 3 stooges Olbermann, Matthews and Maddow.

The KEY difference is that OMM attack people with their humor while GSR attack policies with theirs.

Norm : I found the three stooges to be Obama, Pelosi, and Reid. But the original Moe, Larry, and Curly were much funnier and less annoying.

      • http://donthaveone Beberoni

That is Norm, if you are afraid of the truth, then yes, stay away from Beck, Hannity, and Limbaugh, because even though you hate them, and its your right to do that if your that little of a person, but I challenge you to catch them lying? It doesnt happen Norm. They speak the truth, it constantly, and I mean constantly exposes your guys lies and lack of sensibility. You cannot refute that Norm, or you sir, refuse to acknowledge the truth. And the truth Norm, will set you free.

      • http://donthaveone Beberoni

The thing is Norm, you can get more truth reading the National Enquirer than you will get reading the liberal rags you indulge in.

Dora, thanks for your insight. I am a Full-Blood Indian (Three Tribes) went to an all Indian Christian College “Bacone” in Muskogee, Oklahoma, in the early 50′s. I’m not too impressed with “Normie” however most of you take him too seriously, ignore him, he has a tunnel vision.
I am a Capitalist Indian love to make money and share it with whom I damn please, and don’t like taxation (It’s Slavery) have never taken a damn nickel from the damn Gov’t. Never will, I’ve taken care of my own working smarter and learning how to compound my investments and make it on my own. Why am I stating this you all may ask, well thanks to my Christian up bringing, conservative parents, that were not “Hang around the Fort Indians” waiting for the Gov’t handouts. I learned how to grease my own vehicle.
My Junior year in College I was introduced to the YAF (Young Americans for Freedom) and Congressman Victor Wickersham he gave us a copy of “Facts on Communism” Volume I, The Communist Ideology, Committee on Un-American Activities House of Representatives 86th Congress First Session, December 1959.. it is the House Document No. 336. Available at U.S. Government Printing Office Washington: 1960 ( Superintendent of Documents). This one is for you Norm.
This introduction at my early stage in life made me very aware of the Domestic dangers via visa many of the progressives in our Republic. I love my Country, my Republic, “my Indian Country” and will fight against our enemies as did all of my fore-Fathers and Mothers.
And Norm don’t insult my Intelligence by giving me the same old BS, Look at what the White Man did to your People, I know both sides of that history, The Plight of American Indians today is the “Damn Government” and all of its controls and regulations from cradle to grave. CFR 21 Manual “INDIANS” will tell you what the real story is and how government controls our people. And for your information the most devastating government damages bestowed upon American Indians ( Historically) has been by Democrats! Federal Indian Removal Acts/ Federal Indian Reservations to name a couple, look it up Norm, Republican President Richard M. Nixon Signed P.L. 93-638 The American Indian Self Determination Act, guess what Political Party opposes our Self Determination. Now if this does not widen your tunnel vision, do some serious research on Treaties Made Treaties Broken, that’s Government for you Norm. The only promise Government kept, was to take away our lands and they took them, that’s Government for you Norm. We were the first target and today you are the targets! it’s about Communistic totalitarian control from cradle to grave.
I’ll finish with this “Indian Joke”, My fellow academics and I were searching for the first Treaty signed by the Government with our people and we finally found it, Library of Congress Ancient Archives Section, In it, it stated that for all the lands we seceded we would receive goods and services for as long as the sun rises from the east and settles on the west, for as long as the little waters run into the big waters, and for as long as the grasses grow, however in very fine print it states, “Or Ninety Days Which Ever Comes First” ! That’s Government for you Norm.

Kudos, WIA! Very insightful comments as is your research. You may want to go back and spell out the acronym for CFR for Normie….just to help him out a bit. Oh heck…let me just save you the trouble; Normie it’s Code of Federal Regulations.

I’m being geniune, when I say thank you for your indepth analysis. I’m not to proud to say, it was helpful to me as well.

      • Pathfinder

Kudos WIIA : As the grandson of immigrants who arrived in the early 1900′s I have mixed feelings regarding the decendants of this continant’s original inhabitants. Being unwilling to return the land which was taken from your ancestors, I still feel that your tribes were treated unfairly. I agree with you that those who wait for government handouts are likely to starve. One issue that you might enlighten me on is this. Do American indians have dual citizenship, both tribal and national ? Or do you have to choose ? Please, both excuse and help cure my ignorance here. It has often seemed to me that, when the government wants to deny your rights, they regard you as not US citizens; and when they want something from you, then you are US citizens. Thus, it seems to me that the government wants you to have the obligations of US citizens without the rights of one. Your own analysis of this situation would be most appreciated. My thanks in advance for any light you may shed on thisw subject.

God bless you man, you are a true American. I hear and feel the finger pointed at my white butt by everybody of a different race here, but you sir, you have the right too, and I am ashamed of what not only was, but what is still being done to the true American, the American Indian. Sure slavery sucked for the black man, but they are over it, and are now President, the highest paid atheletes in the world, leaders of other world countries, and sit on the board of corporations and own what ever they can. They own black only TV stations and black only colleges, and black only this, and black only that, so that race card needs put away, and has needed put away for a long time. The hispanics are free, and always have been. They are even given free money and food and handouts despite being illegal aliens by the millions. What does the American Indian get? We will build a casino for you and bring crime to the reservations we keep you imprisoned on. We took your land, killed your food and wasted it, gave you blankets with diseases on them, took your women and children, and still, your voice isnt heard. I am truly sorry for that, and this episode of America is the only part Im ever ashamed of, and am still ashamed of. God bless you, and have a good day sir.

All the main stream media is owned by the same one world order degenerates. None of them speak out about the elites and that’s the way they want it. At best, they doctor up the news & tell us what they want us to hear. For example, on June 1st of this year, Daniel Estulin was invited to speak infront of Parliament about the Bilderbergs…this was a historic moment as it was the first time such a speach was given infront of politions of such standing. Basically, the equivalent of speaking infront of Congress…and there was Zero coverage from the american media…a black out in essense, yet it was covered by foreign papers & media outlets. <— Go figure…so yeah, I don't watch the main stream news anymore as it's a bunch of propoganda to keep the masses buzy/entertained while they continue to break the soveirnity of America & the rest of the world.

If you think any of the MSMedia are impartial or walking the middle…your sadly mistaken. They all have the same Agenda & we are becoming aware of it…no amount of money will save 'em from their Karma.

I have’nt watched tv for about two years now,the last time I was watching it allah oboma was on it and now I have a hole in it.So the only news I get is Here where I’m aloud to express how I feel at least I don’t shoot it.

      • Al Sieber

dan az, I don’t have a tv that works either, was it a .12 Ga. shotgun?

      • kate8

        dan az, I’m still laughing.

That must have really felt great. I’ve fantasized about shooting the TV myself, many times.

BroPat, I heartily agree with your assessment. I don’t often watch FoxNews either, except Glenn Beck, because he does have good info. I know enough to see when he’s blowing smoke or deflecting our attention away from something involving things we aren’t supposed to be intersted in. He, and O’Reilly (milqtoast) and Hannity are there to provide a vent for the right, while keeping us in line.

We can’t lose sight of who these people work for. Their aim is keeping us thinking only what they want us to think.

      • Pathfinder

BrotherPatriot : I agree and would like to reinforce your assertions with additional data. If one will check the membership lists of the Council on Foreign Relations (CFR); they will find that much of the Lame Stream media are members of this organization as are members of presidential cabinets (both democrat and republican). With so many powerful, high ranking members of business, government, and media ALL members of the same organization, one would suspect suspicions to be arroused. But, thanks to relative silence on the part of media, most Americans don’t even know that the CFR exists.

      • http://donthaveone Beberoni

You know, this Bilderberg thing. If its true, then the United States isnt going to have a say so about nothing. I read the lists of the people who attended this the past two years, and we dont have squat there. Like number 2 guy from this bank, and number 3 or 4 from that place. If we are to let these guys have a hold of us, then I can see a whole lot of their blood running in the streets as soon as it is known to the general public, because I dont think the masses are going to stand for it. And I dont see them ever disarming us, or being able to.

      • Bob

Same as Russia during the Cold War. They had 2 newspapers Pravda and Izvestia both controlled by Stalin.

    • Harold Olsen

I’m not so sure about Fox News Channel anymore. They used to be the ONLY news channel that I trusted. Now, I don’t even trust them. Beck is a buffoon who blames the people around Obama for manipulating him while giving Obama pass, and O’Reilly is just another Obama apologist. Even though O’Reilly may say something critical about our fuhrer, he usually ends up defending him. Megyn Kelly is an Obama groupie, going so far as not only defending Obama to a guest she had on her show who was highly critical of him she actually yelled at him. No, I just don’t trust ANY of the TV and printed media anymore.

      • DaveH

Thank you Harold, for pointing out to the rad libs that Fox indeed has left-leaning and middle-of-the-road commentators. The fact that they also give time to the Right-Wingers and to the Libertarians is just too much for the Liberals.

      • Vicki

It is however necessary for them to be what they claim. “Fair and balanced” :)

      • Claire

Harold Olsen– I haven’t been too sure about any of the cable TV news stations. Same with talk radio. They are all biased. I will listen to all of them once in a while but form my own opinion. I also read a lot.

      • Warrior

Beck is absolutely dead on with the information he presents. I have yet to see anyone dispute his facts. Instead the objectors just resort to name calling.

The news content of All MSM, including Fox, has become so predictable it isn’t worth watching. Here’s the lead story everyday. Someone was killed or The oil is still spilling out of the gulf on day 265.

Imagine if they were all required to just report sports and weather it would go something like this – The Yankees beat the Rays 2-1. A distant cousin of Alex Rodriquez was killed yesterday by an errant bullet from a gang banger. The gang banger was a drop out of such and such school. The school is short on teachers due to cuts in state spending and so on and so on. Oh yes and Alex went 1-4 with an RBI.

And now for the weather – Well today it’s going to be 96 degrees in Baltimore. The heat wave has caused some rioting on the east side and two people were shot to death. Police are investigating. Oh yes and tomorrow should be around 95 degrees with chance of showers.

MSM just can’t help themselves but to report as much BAD news as they can. Does anyone believe this is by design?

      • leon

The reason that Glenn Back is notreputed is cuse he is exposing BHO agenda. Which comes to him beena Socialist.I never thought that was so many ignorant people in this nation but you have prove me wrong. What do you know about a Socialist nation? most likely not a thing . Why do you think the White House has been trying to contrl Fox? They present both sides Not like the rest of the Media that he Ownes right along with Jorge Soroz a socialist. Who is in this Radical Socialist Admn? The Chicago Mob Crime Inc. The truth hurts, Sorry Charlie! If you like to live in a Socialist Nation go to Venenzuela or Cuba you will be welcome there.

      • http://donthaveone Beberoni

The cant dispute Beck’s facts, because, well, they are just that, facts. The truth is the truth is the truth, and like him or not, the man brings the truth. I have never caught him in a lie, yet the left likes to twist what he says, and put words in his mouth that never came out of them. Thats what they have to do, because he constantly exposes them, and he sights times and places and who said what, and boy oh boy do they hate him for telling the truth and exposing them. But the man speaks the truth, and thats why I will continue to watch him, as I like the truth.

      • Norm

        Harold
It must be hard to be you.
People who don’t trust or agree with anybody are by definition radical.

      • Al Sieber

Harold Olsen, I agree, I read the “new American”, and “News Watch” for years, now I’m not so sure. I, like Claire, read a lot and form my own opinions.

      • Pathfinder

Harold Olsen : I agree. I don’t trust those lying bums either.

      • http://donthaveone Beberoni

The reason Beck does that, is because Obama is all powerful. He is the head piece of the democratic party, and thats it. When he is gone, which will be soon, they will put someone else in there. I dont have an ounce of respect for the guy, but do you really think of him as capable of planning out and forming any kind of actions? Have you been watching the last two years? He is just the figure head. Im thinking pretty soon, they will throw him under the bus, and let Hillary run in 2012 because he is unelectable, and they know it. If he was white, they would probably be well on their way in doing this, but they have to advance on this slowly, as they do not want to in any way lose the black vote, so they are trying to figure out how to dump him, without losing the black vote. And you know what, I dont think they can do it. But Beck doesnt give him a free pass, he just knows he isnt the one behind all the baloney they are doing. It is the left wing liberal democrat pacisfist appeasers, and what they do is straight out of their playbook. He is just the figurehead, and thats it, and Beck knows it.

      • Bob

        Free at last Harold.

    • Sheldon

No network has been caught manipulating as many times as Fox News. No network uses talking points like Fox News. When you can hear the same phrase (talking point) throughout the day from many different talking heads, your news channel drifts perilously close to propaganda not news. You talk about an agenda, the Fox empire takes its direction from Rupert Murdoch’s political views and aspirations. If Fox News were a journalism student, it would fail because it’s not news, it’s opinion, it’s spin. Furthermore, the conservative cause doesn’t need lies and hyperbole, the conservative cause just needs the truth and facts and a credible leader (anyone but Palin).

      • TIME

        Sheldon,

        You would fail at any form of journalism “only” if your not a Neo Marxist;

        As all your post thus far have displayed a keen closeness with such a mind set, {you would be a good little Walter Lippman, Edward Bernays, and George Creel follower.}
Or as anyone who has a clue knows them as the fathers of
        “modern Propaganda.”

So don’t pee on our legs and tells us its raining, ok.

Thanks for your brilliant post, as now its quite clear what you are.

        Penny, — Penny, —- Penny…..

      • Sheldon

My Journalism Degree would say otherwise.

      • TIME

Sheldon, You just made my point, Penny, Penny, Oh Penny!

      • Peter

        Sheldon —

        Your “journalism degree” says otherwise?

Am I supposed to defer to somebody because they have a journalism degree?

How about my degrees — in the School of Hard Knocks, in Applied Common Sense, in Rugged Individualsim?

I have an ability to be a great listener, and I can grasp someone’s line of reasoning, if they present one without emotion.

What I see presented here by some is stubborn closed-mindedness. Often I get a statement from somebody, then they immediately say, “No further debate necessary!” That, I will tell you, is BS. That is not the free exchange of ideas in an open forum, that is a proclamation.

I am keenly aware of my surroundings, and I am becoming more aware each week. The power of the conservative, Constitution guided movement growing in this nation of sovereign States, is strong. The socialistic, Statist mentality of those drunk on power in D.C. and the coast states, will be pushed back — HARD.

      • Sheldon

        Hey Peter…
I totally agree with you Peter… the School of Hard Knocks with a major in (un)Common Sense is the best education. (Even more so if there’s some dirt under the finger nails from some hard work.)
Are you supposed to defer to my journalism degree? No… but if we’re talking about journalistic integrity I’m suggesting that four years of study would qualify my post as an informed opinion. I’m sure Fox News says what a lot of people want to hear… in my opinion Fox News would be far more effective if it were more credible. There are a lot of good conservative stories and examples to report on and inform the masses without having to slant the truth or parrot the party line.

      • rwnut

        Sheldon…Left wing gibberish.

Having been a journalist student and finding out what those professors are like we are in a lot of trouble.
You fail if you show any leaning towards christian, conservative, founding fathers, individual rights thoughts at all. Had a professor we had to write for I got a 4.0 for the course but never had a single paper or article read in that course, I was number 2 in the class.

Rupert Murdoch once said “The news is what I say it is “.

    • EddieW

I call them the alphabet media…giving you daily Pap & entertainment…not the real news!!! Now the FCC wants to tax the alternative media, to bolster them, since so many people have left them…since they betrayed us, and the reward of their betrayal is failure!! as it should be!!! Many people now turn to the alternative media to get the true news!! one of my favorites is Freedon’s Phoenix…it gives 10 to 20 headlines, and you click on what your interested in!!

    • Bill P

      Beberoni (Aug 13):
Murdock, who directs/owns Fox, isn’t a friend of liberty.
As I see it, he’s a sort-of “false flag” conservative; whose agenda is to lead potential conservative readers/listeners away from the real issues. (I would put Rush Limbaugh, Glenn Beck, and Michael Savage in that category, also). It is the “Neo-Cons” who have infiltrated the Republican Party who are the culprits. They have an agenda not unlike the progressives. They all want a “One World,” super state, oligarchy. Whereby all us “middle-class” worker bees can be controlled and directed – slave like-to do their bidding.
I’m suspicious that this site is a Neo-Con propaganda device.
What say you? (as Bill O would say).
      Bill, the school bus driver

      • DaveH

I say, Bill, that you are a progressive plant. Newscorp is the only company that has given the light of day to true Freedom lovers such as John Stossel, and Judge Napolitano, and Glenn Beck (who you try to disparage).
Anybody who doubts that, I challenge you to watch One week of Foxnews and Fox Business channel and tell me that they don’t give air time to a wide spectrum of ideas. Thank you Rupert Murdoch.

      • DaveH

Ditto to John Livingston who even allows progressives to post their nonsense.

    • Dave

It’s really easy to point out lies on Fox.

      • Vicki

        no examples? no points.

      • Pathfinder

Dave : Since it is so easy; point out a few specific ones please. (Don’t forget to cite a specific program and when it aired. Thank you.)

    • Howie

I have got to agree with you about Fox News. If you really want to get straight answers to what’s going on that’s the place to get it. The only thing about most of the programs is that when they have a speaker that they have invited on the show I wish they would let him or her finish answering the question. I know they have only a certain amount of time but I seem to get the feeling that the narrarator wants to do more of the talking than to let the invited speaker answer the question that has been asked. But, Fox News dose have the best news overall.
