Obama To Raise Taxes On The Rich

July 29, 2010 by

Obama To Raise Taxes On The RichPlagued with a ballooning deficit and national debt, the Obama administration is planning to let the Bush tax cuts for the wealthiest Americans expire next year, the Treasury Secretary has said.

Appearing on weekend TV programs, Timothy Geithner announced that those who make more than $250,000—which amounts to between 2 percent and 3 percent of the United States population—will see their taxes go up when the current breaks expire in 2011.

“We think that’s the responsible thing to do because we need to make sure we can show the world” that America is “willing as a country to start to make some progress bringing down our long-term deficits,” the secretary told This Week on ABC.

Geithner also signalled that the administration would like to see last year’s tax breaks for those making less than $250,000 continue. Meanwhile, opponents of greater taxation of the highest-earning Americans—such as former House Speaker Newt Gingrich—said it may push the economy back into recession. According to the government’s own predictions, the unemployment rate will likely stay above 9 percent until next year.

In this context, some commentators have warned about possible consequences for the Democrats this November, since President Obama’s popularity has already suffered as an increasing number of Americans have given him poor marks for his handling of the economy.ADNFCR-1961-ID-19907983-ADNFCR

    Impeach Obama. Nuff said.

  • Ron

On another note, how about all the rich tax cheats in the federal government pay their taxes. They can also send money to help specifically pay down the debt. Bunch of hypocrites.

  • barbm

i hope he sticks it good to the hollywood wealthy who supported him so strongly.

“We think that’s the responsible thing to do because we need to make sure we can show the world” that America is “willing as a country to start to make some progress bringing down our long-term deficits,”

If there is any truth in that statement at all then stop with the ridiculous spending and start creating jobs.

Timothy Geithner has it right in one respect–with balloonig debt and deficit and Obama vacationing every other week with all their anterrague along costing millions of dollars while the looming unemployment stares the taxpayers– never let a crisis go to waste–tax the rich just a little bit more to make up the difference for the Obama waste! Golf is more important than the nations well being so it seems and the pious lying attidude toward Israel is unnerving God who is about to unleash his wrath on those cursing his chosen people who are taking the land he gave Them, and them only! Wake up Barakie while there is still time!

Satch, I believe that God did not give the land to the Europeons. These newcomers massecured the Native people of North America and moved into their land. Sure treaties were signed but they were more for the benefits of the Europeons ($24 for Manhatten Island? Ridiculous!!)and not even honoured. The treaties were to be honoured for as long as the rivers run and the green grass grows. Last I looked the rivers are still running and the grass is still growing.

I made a little over $30K last year. Have chosen my way of life, and not always made the right choices. But, if anyone has the formula, follow this post with how much you owe me if you made more money than I. I’ll get in touch with you and tell you where to send what you owe me. If you don’t , I’ll call Obama and turn nyou in. hat’s that? He decides who gets byour money? Oh. . .never mind.

America is waking up but far too slowly. The “Change” that Obama promised this great United States is not the change that Americans expected. Obama came along at the rigt time when the other Executive and Legislature Branches before him had set the stage for “Obama Change.” Little did we recognize that change meant borrowing money from China (Bonds) and giving that money to Brazil for off shore drilling while halting all off shore drilling in the United States, creating a health care plan that will cost more than we ever dreamed about while decreasing the best health care from well trained doctors, Calling Americans non-Christians but applauding the Muslim faith – our “devout Muslims,” taking from the rich and GIVING to the poor, leading the United States into a third world country, Obama usurping his powers to seat more of his cronies into important positions to help him complete his agenda, the list goes on and on. How about Arizona and all States that have been trying to halt the influx of illegals? Now there is a blow that should wake up Americans. The Feds cannot do the job and will not do the job to prevent illegals but they can fine States for detaining illegals. Isn’t there something wrong with this administration?

Now, If I worked my azz off to have a nice home for my family and have a drivable car or even two, and paid my taxes on my income, I am supposed to hand over more of my hard earned dollars to a Federal government agency that cannot even run a profitable whore house. I’m supposed to give up my hard earned dollars to support those who cannot or will not work. That is insane thinking on Obama’s part. Rich people who became rich by STEALING from the working class, that is a different story. (HMM.sounds like today’s Federal and State Governments)

Welfare program: Our tax dollars go to support this program. If I want to get a job, I have to pee in a cup to prove that I am not taking drugs. Yet, my tax dollars go to welfare people who consists of many druggies. If I have to pee in a cup to get a job, all welfare people should have to pee in a cup to recieve my hard earned bucks! I digress.

It is time to get rid of this foolish president and all of his cronies and take back America. I don’t know if it is too late but each November I’m changing all government candidates. I don’t trust the Republicans or Democrats to do the right thing for America but I can always vote out the trash and bring new in until we have a government for the people and by the people.

FLAT TAX ANALYSIS put myths to bed please

Neal Boortz book years ago 23% will do it
Correct at that time not now

Total National Income is 12,000 Billion
Total National Consumption is 70% of GDP
    Budget for 2010 is 3600B

    If we cover 3800 out of 12,000 (3800 : 12,000)
    32% 32% 32% 32%

Who pays 32% of Income in Federal Taxes?

    2008–irs
    Top 400 Incomes paid 17%
    Buffett paid 17%
Corporations paid 16%– highest paid was 29%.

Try asking Rich to pay 32%

    THE FACTS ARE:

Feb. 2010. The administration released their budget plan which was purported to reduce the tax burden on middle-class Americans. There will be clear winners and losers under the plan, so here are the high points:

    WINNERS
    · Making Work Pay tax credit – $400 for individuals, $800 for a couple filing jointly through 2011. This was already in place for 2009, 2010.
    · Middle Class Income Taxes – Extending the tax cuts enacted under Bush for families making less than $250,000 and individuals making less than $200,000.
    · Hiring Businesses – Budget would give companies a $5,000 tax credit for each new worker they hire in 2010. Businesses that increase wages or hours for their current workers in 2010 would be reimbursed for the extra Social Security payroll taxes they would pay. I question how helpful the second part is. Would this just make companies rethink a new hire since they could employ overtime for less money now? Some new hire decisions on the fringe may suffer.
    · Research Outfits – Make the research and experimentation tax credit permanent, saving businesses about $83 billion over the next decade.
    · Business Capital Outlays – Extend a provision allowing businesses buying equipment such as computers to accelearte depreciation through 2010, saving them $20 billion over the next decade.

    LOSERS
    · High Income Earners – Raise the top two income tax rates for individuals, from 33 percent and 35 percent, to 36 percent and 39.6 percent, respectively. Result: nearly $1 trillion in higher taxes on couples making more than $250,000 and individuals making more than $200,000 by not renewing Bush-era tax cuts for them.
    · Investors – Increase the top capital gains tax rate from 15 percent to 20 percent for families making more than $250,000 a year and individuals making more than $200,000. This may have a gradual impact on stock market returns. With a higher capital gains rate, high net worth investors may shift to other assets with a more desirable net return profile.
    · Oil and Gas Companies & Multinationals – Increase taxes on U.S. companies with major overseas operations, and plans to increase taxes on oil and gas companies to the tune of about $39 Billion over the next decade. Also, restrict the ability of international companies to defer taxes on profits made overseas, raising about $26 billion over the next decade.
    · Charities – Since many charities rely on contributions from high income earners, the new limit on itemized tax deductions high earners can claim for charitable donations, mortgage interest and state and local taxes, will likely hurt.
    · Banks/Financials – Enact a “financial crisis responsibility fee” on large firms that may be “too big to fail”, raising $90 billion over the next decade.
    · Fund Managers – Change the way profits by investment fund managers are taxed, raising an additional $24 billion over the next decade

    • http://?? Joe H.

      Norm,
I hate to break it to you, but that oil and gas and MULTINATIONALS part is gonna hurt tha American workers as well. There are many American companies that have a major presence here in the states, but also have many factories all over the globe!! The profit from those companies still comes back here to the States. Take for instance the company my wife works for. They have about 14 plants here in the US and subsidiaries all over the world. Raise their taxes too much, and they might just move out of the US altogether.a smaller raise in taxes might just lead to layoffs here and increase in employees overseas! There are quite a few companies in this position including the big three! think about Chemical companies as well.

I wonder is anyone remembers that Russia occupied Afghanistan for many years before the United States?
After the Russians played the same game as we are now playing, they invested trillions of dollars, got no results and just left.
The Afgans accepted the aide, split the proceeds up and started war for them selves again.
Then decided to create the 9-11 attack to use and abuse our wealth,
Hundreds of billions of our tax dollars dropped freely in the streets with no accountability. The money has been stolen by the container load “oh well thats good for Arab/American relations”.
The banks take trillions, Give each other huge bonuses in “golden parachutes” or just plain thievery. When asked, the committee investigating found fraud, but won’t name the guilty citing “no names will be revieled, for their own safety”. But they were really bad.
    The party of “no” says
    1. “I’m sorry to BP”, It hurts us when their buttcheeks tighten, while we are in their back pockets.
    2. The unemployed need to sober up and go to work, we don’t have any money for them, 36 billion? we can’t afford it. NO extension. “Let’s hold them up for 2 months, “The banks will make millions more in late fees”.
    3. The 40 billion war extension, Hell Ya we have only spent 770 billion so far. “Freedom for the Afgan women are worth the Americans blood and wallet. We got lots of money
    4. If we tax the rich, “It will affect the servers tip at the country club”. I don’t pay my taxes now.
    5. Lets play the race card, “let the news puppets dance for weeks”.
We will slide bills by while the smoke screen is up.
    6. The 99ers need to “walk away” from their American dream, and their home. “Go to Mc Donalds they will hire a 60 year old with a degree”. “There’s plenty of jobs, I just can’t remember who told me”.

These same men are saying, “fter Bushes 4 years of financial freedom”. now after 19 months “What has the President done”? our filibusters are “only trying to show our concern for our grandchildren”.
After being a lifelog Republican, I will never vote for them again.

I don’t like people who “lie, cheet or steel and or misstreat others for their own gains,” is that clear enough for you?
Politicians are little more than legal thiefs as far as I see it.

When it comes to taking away my freedoms to do as I wish, then I am not in favor of anyone who feels that is within reason.
Is that a bloody strech for you?

Oh I fogot as I am one of the blacks who did come from nothing and has made a good life for myself and my family, as well given a large chunk of my wealth to 401-C 3′s.
As well been a Big Brother to 4 young men over the last 30 years, one who’s mother dropped him at my door step and left him when he was 7 years old.
By the way of whom we not only have gone through the ringer to adopt but have given him a good home with love and all that that entails.

Also we both, that being my wife and I have given to Animal Shelters something close to my heart, as well Battered Wife shelters, let alone given to familys who need help with Medical bills so that they did not end up with nothing and a dead child as well, plus the Gift of life program thats for “any child” who needs a Heart transplant.

So I find it rather strange that you who have nothing good to say about anyone who is honest, cast any stones for any reason.

        Let me be clear I could never have done any of what we have done if I had {ZERO work ethic, and no money.}

So I am not a bloody little twit with nothing to give back I have been on the front lines ever since I made my first Million, as I truly know what its like to be “DIRT POOR” and have absolutely nothing.

How about you bud what have you ever done? That is other than post worthless BS here day in and day out?

I, like you, started out with very little. I was born and spent my early childhood in a house with outdoor plumbing. I live modestly, although some would probably say that I’m well off. Everything needs to be taken in its proper perspective.
I’ve paid a lot of taxes in my working career and continue to do so in retirement. I served my country in the US Air Force, and through the GI bill and employer funding, managed to get an excellent education. My GI bill “grant” was paid back in spades through taxes.
I give little to charities and churches, but believe that my tax dollars should be used for social programs that help people to fend for themselves. I don’t believe in war and think the US should not participate unless attacked.
If you feel good about your charitable deeds – good for you.

I’m NOT RICH! I’m an EDUCATED, MIDDLE, CLASS, HARD WORKING, TAX PAYER!

If I feed the “Poor, Hungry, Disenfranchised, Entitled Beings” it costs the U.S. Govt. approximately $0.35 because I get a TAX DEDUCTION on my itemized TAX RETURN.

If the U.S. Govt. feeds the “Poor, Hungry, Disenfranchised, Entitled Beings” it COSTS THEM $1.00 (out of the TAXES COLLECTED).

Which one IS MORE EFFICIENT? Which one COSTS THE FEDERAL MASTERMINDS LESS? Which one is more PERSONALLY GRATIFYING?

Let ME KEEP MORE OF MY $M$O$N$E$Y$ before TAXES and I WILL DO A BETTER, MORE EFFICIENT JOB FOR HUMANITY!

No matter how much you analyze the issues, which are mostly correct, the botton line is simply that, the Filosofy of “taxing the rich” never turns out to be that. What they are simply doing is taxing folks that may be fortunate to have a job that provides them with a better income, becasue of years of sacrifice. Simply, what is happening is that, they are taxing the working class to death. Thus they will be able to covert this once fair Country, where equality and Civil rights once were appreciated and respected, into nothing but a socialistic (or what ever name you want to give it) State. GOVERNMENT will be making the decsions for us on a daily basis. For example: Health Care reform (a joke…) was the continuum of already a long list of “reforms”. If you can not comprehend what I mean, then tell me: How can Both the House of Representatives and Congress exempt themselves from the garbage they showed down our throats and we are supposed to be thankfull for it? And yet it was accepted. Until when America? Give 10,000,000 Illegal Aliens RGHTS and Social Security and yet we are denying care to our reired Citizens because Social Security will be broke by 2025?
Please, let’s regain what AMERICA once stood for. Just keep the National Anthem in mind…
Ask yourselves one more question: Here we are going to a depression yet Billions of dollars are being spent in Countries to mantain peace and istill DEMOCRACY, when it does not even work here at Home. Furthermore those folks do not even want us there…
    Very sad…

  • http://personalLibertynews Jamie

First of all Obama isn’t raising taxes. He cut my taxes this year and it was 3 times as much as i got from the Bush tax cuts. The only people who did good in the Bush years was the top 1%. They went from making 48.7% of every dollar made in the USA in 2000 to 60% of every dollar made in 2009. The RICH already get a 15% tax brake on Social Security. They pay nothing for every dollar over $106k. My wife and i together make roughly $80k and we have to pay social security on every penny of it. The RICH,BUSH and his cronies started 2 wars, gave unqualified people no money down mortages, let health care companies increase there rates 250% in 8 years and caused oil to go from $25 a barrel to $150 allowing Iran to become a nuclear country. The Republicans did nothing about illegal imigration after allowing 9/11 to happen in the first place and now blame Obama for eveery bad decision they made. Its really a shame that the American people, the TEA people, had nothing to say about the Republicans running up debt and making one bad decision after another. I thought the GOP was the party of responsibility…well take responsibility for all the problems you caused and stop voting for HATE.

    • http://Google ProudChicagoan

Your wife and you make $80K a year? And your complaining? Seems to me someone is jealous of the wealthy and wants to see them punished. obama is not the answer. I make $33K a year and any thing added to my taxes are going to hurt. And he is chipping away at my money. His financial bill is going to get you, too. Free checking, debit card fees (every time you use it), company-paid insurance will be on YOUR W-2 as income – just to name a few. The problem is not the so-called wealthy (I personally think wealthy personified is Trump, Gates, Winfrey to name a few), the problem is the government. I have not heard obummer taking on welfare, food stamps, and all the free handouts like he is taking on the wealthy. Oh, wait, he wants a communist country where EVERYONE (except him and his constituents) are poor! Blame Bush, if you want, obama is just making things worse.

      • Jimmy G

Appearing on weekend TV programs, Timothy Geithner announced that those who make more than $250,000—which amounts to between 2 percent and 3 percent of the United States population—will see their taxes go up when the current breaks expire in 2011.

“We think that’s the responsible thing to do because we need to make sure we can show the world” that America is “willing as a country to start to make some progress bringing down our long-term deficits,” the secretary told This Week on ABC.

Hey Geithner, do the responsible THING and stop spending money you don’t have, that would really show the world.

    • Brad

      Jamie,

By the way Obama’s stimulus plan put approximately 65 bucks back into your posket book as did mine. So where did that money come from, the US tax payer. Wait and see what happens next year after the Bush tax cuts expire, your’s and my tax bill go’s way up. As for some of your other accusations do some research some of them are blatently wrong.

    • blamesomeoneelse

If 1% of the population is getting all the money, own everything and get every break, what makes you think Obama can stop it? He is in the 1% group. We idelize sports players and their pay is always in the millions and they don’t work all the time they are off when their playing season is over. Movie stars also make millions per picture and continue to collect year after year. Every one in congress is a millionaire. When you are talking rich who are you talking about? Sports players will just demand more, Congress will justify that they shouldn’t have to pay and the other rich just move to another country. Problem solved! The rich will be anyone that earns a salary and you will be paying 90% of your income to fix all the give away programs of this administration. Don’t worry about more jobs being created as any business that can will move to a more friendy place and pay little or no taxes to that country. Don’t like your nose, cut it off!

    • TIME

      Jamie,

Barry Soetoro has not given you nor anyone any tax cuts thus far. So whats your point again?

I would take it you have a home, so again I don’t know of a single state in the 50 of them we do have not the 60 plus that Barry Soetoro thinks we have, where the “Property TAXS” have not gone up in 2009 let alone food tax’s, gas tax’s, wine tax’s, sale tax’s, taxs in general, and just wait until you file your 2010 tax’s if you have a HI plan you will be taxed on that benifit.

Just a few points you may want to think about. Oh and when the tax cuts are dropped, YOU sure will be paying more in tax’s dude rather you know it yet or not.

      • missy

I beg to differ with you. Last year ,my property taxes did go up also cost of my home owner insurance, what went down my property value.

      • TIME

        Missy,

I can’t argue with your post at all, you made super points.
Our HO Insurance went up by 30%, and our homes value dropped by 30% and we took a lot less than it was worth in 2008, But I digress.

Greed is found under the Politicians who spend like drunken pigs.

Just wait if they pass Cap & Trade, non of us will be able to own our homes anylonger! Now thats what I call just peachy.

      • Norm

Do you buy your HO insurance from the feds? Is it regulated?
Oh it’s the private sector – shop for a better deal. Competition you know will solve your problems. Forget not that there is no honor among thieves, and damn little competition.

    • http://?? Joe H.

      Jamie,
Yeah he gave you a cut. Of course he collected it back at the end of the year on your taxes!!! Remember that??? He sent you a check then collected it back when you filed your taxes!!!

The rich are getting richer and the poor are getting poorer at a staggering rate. Once upon a time, the United States had the largest and most prosperous middle class in the history of the world, but now that is changing at a blinding pace.

So why are we witnessing such fundamental changes? Well, the globalism and “free trade” that our politicians and business leaders insisted would be so good for us have had some rather nasty side effects. It turns out that they didn’t tell us that the “global economy” would mean that middle class American workers would eventually have to directly compete for jobs with people on the other side of the world where there is no minimum wage and very few regulations. The big global corporations have greatly benefited by exploiting third world labor pools over the last several decades, but middle class American workers have increasingly found things to be very tough.

Here are the statistics to prove it:

    • 83 percent of all U.S. stocks are in the hands of 1 percent of the people.
    • 61 percent of Americans “always or usually” live paycheck to paycheck, which was up from 49 percent in 2008 and 43 percent in 2007.
    • 66 percent of the income growth between 2001 and 2007 went to the top 1% of all Americans.
    • 36 percent of Americans say that they don’t contribute anything to retirement savings.
    • A staggering 43 percent of Americans have less than $10,000 saved up for retirement.
    • 24 percent of American workers say that they have postponed their planned retirement age in the past year.
    • Over 1.4 million Americans filed for personal bankruptcy in 2009, which represented a 32 percent increase over 2008.
    • Only the top 5 percent of U.S. households have earned enough additional income to match the rise in housing costs since 1975.
    • For the first time in U.S. history, banks own a greater share of residential housing net worth in the United States than all individual Americans put together.
    • In 1950, the ratio of the average executive’s paycheck to the average worker’s paycheck was about 30 to 1. Since the year 2000, that ratio has exploded to between 300 to 500 to one.
    • As of 2007, the bottom 80 percent of American households held about 7% of the liquid financial assets.
    • The bottom 50 percent of income earners in the United States now collectively own less than 1 percent of the nation’s wealth.
    • Average Wall Street bonuses for 2009 were up 17 percent when compared with 2008.
    • In the United States, the average federal worker now earns 60% MORE than the average worker in the private sector.
    • The top 1 percent of U.S. households own nearly twice as much of America’s corporate wealth as they did just 15 years ago.
    • In America today, the average time needed to find a job has risen to a record 35.2 weeks.
    • More than 40 percent of Americans who actually are employed are now working in service jobs, which are often very low paying.
    • or the first time in U.S. history, more than 40 million Americans are on food stamps, and the U.S. Department of Agriculture projects that number will go up to 43 million Americans in 2011.
    • This is what American workers now must compete against: in China a garment worker makes approximately 86 cents an hour and in Cambodia a garment worker makes approximately 22 cents an hour.
    • Approximately 21 percent of all children in the United States are living below the poverty line in 2010 – the highest rate in 20 years.
    • Despite the financial crisis, the number of millionaires in the United States rose a whopping 16 percent to 7.8 million in 2009.
    • The top 10 percent of Americans now earn around 50 percent of our national income.

    Giant Sucking Sound

The reality is that no matter how smart, how strong, how educated or how hard working American workers are, they just cannot compete with people who are desperate to put in 10 to 12 hour days at less than a dollar an hour on the other side of the world. After all, what corporation in their right mind is going to pay an American worker 10 times more (plus benefits) to do the same job? The world is fundamentally changing. Wealth and power are rapidly becoming concentrated at the top and the big global corporations are making massive amounts of money. Meanwhile, the American middle class is being systematically wiped out of existence as U.S. workers are slowly being merged into the new “global” labor pool.

What do most Americans have to offer in the marketplace other than their labor? Not much. The truth is that most Americans are absolutely dependent on someone else giving them a job. But today, U.S. workers are “less attractive” than ever. Compared to the rest of the world, American workers are extremely expensive, and the government keeps passing more rules and regulations seemingly on a monthly basis that makes it even more difficult to conduct business in the United States.

So corporations are moving operations out of the U.S. at breathtaking speed. Since the U.S. government does not penalize them for doing so, there really is no incentive for them to stay.

What has developed is a situation where the people at the top are doing quite well, while most Americans are finding it increasingly difficult to make it. There are now about six unemployed Americans for every new job opening in the United States, and the number of “chronically unemployed” is absolutely soaring. There simply are not nearly enough jobs for everyone.

Many of those who are able to get jobs are finding that they are making less money than they used to. In fact, an increasingly large percentage of Americans are working at low wage retail and service jobs.

But you can’t raise a family on what you make flipping burgers at McDonald’s or on what you bring in from greeting customers down at the local Wal-Mart.

The truth is that the middle class in America is dying — and once it is gone it will be incredibly difficult to rebuild.

RICHMOND, Va. (AP) — Nearly 90 illegal immigrants who have committed crimes or ignored orders to leave the country were arrested in a two-part sweep in Virginia and the nation’s capitol, U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement officials said Wednesday.

Eighty-seven criminal or fugitive illegal immigrants were arrested during a three-day sweep in June and a four-day operation that ended with four arrests Wednesday.

Of those arrested, 75 had been convicted for a variety of crimes, including 28 who had committed Level 1 crimes that include murder, rape and kidnapping. At least one arrest involved a member of the notorious MS-13 gang. The other 12 had been ordered to leave the country but did not.

“Those who come to our country illegally and commit crimes should be on notice,” said Henry Lucero, director for ICE’s Washington office of enforcement and removal operations. “We will root you out, you will be prosecuted for your crimes and we will ultimately send you home.”

The U.S. Marshals Service assisted with the arrests, 57 of which were made in northern Virginia.

At least six of those arrested will face further prosecution on federal charges. Those already ordered out of the country will be immediately deported, while the others will face removal proceedings.

“Removing criminal aliens and preventing them from being released back into our community is one of our highest priorities,” Mr. Lucero said.

Last year, ICE removed a record 380,000 illegal immigrants from the country, including 136,000 who had been convicted of crimes.

  • Doc Sarvis

We have been fighting two wars, both for longer than any other war our nation has been in. Pile on that a huge financial crisis and it should be obvious that our country’s budget is in need of some enrichment. Many people are still out of work (though that is coming back – too slowly for anyone’s taste). The rich have had this tax break for a decade or almost that long. It is time those with more money than they know what to do with contribute a fair share to their country.

    • TIME

      Doc,

I beg to differ with you on one point, there is nothing coming back in so far as jobs, nor spending. Thats just total media spin thats full of warm brown materials.

The facts are that in 2010 over 10 million more people will loose their homes why, they have lost their jobs or have been cut back to the point that they are falling behind daily.

As well the youth thats anyone under the age of 30 the jobless numbers are 42%. That means that as these kids leave school be that high school or higher education there will be no jobs for them.

      Why?

Due to the totaly insanie politic’s of Barry Soetoro’s gang of progressive neo marxist.

This leads to unrest within the ranks of the youth who live in MOMMIES basement.

And the real Unemployed numbers can’t be covered up for much longer as the numbers grow daily we have a showing of 9.79%, BUT that fails to show those that just gave up after 20 plus months of looking for work, of what is now well in excess of 27%.
Add the numbers up and what do you get? I figure on the low side thats an easy 36% of the working population has no job!

Barry Soetoro and the media can’t keep telling lies to cover these facts up for much longer as the numbers are growing so fast at this point it will be obvious to even the blind very soon.

Again as the months click by the back end numbers are growing, so even if they hold the showing card at 9.75% – the back end numbers will be gaining from the 27%, and will soon as in by December 2010 be in the 31% plus range. that would make the TRUE number of non employed workers well over 40%.

In plian words there are “NO JOBS,” and nothing new is coming around any time soon.

I have to ask any of you this question, whould you invest in something you saw falling apart? I mean would you put your lifes savings into something that you knew was going down fast?

If you answer yes, I know you have no clue on investing.

    • Brad

      Doc Sarvis,

You claim that fighting two wars for 7 years has cost the American tax payer billions, okay I agree, so why aren’t you up in arms over the 420 billion spent annually on illegal immigrants? That’s 4.2 trillion in ten years where is your outrage on that kind of spending. The middle class in this country have been taking it in the shorts for decades and you call for the rich to pay more, they hide more than they pay in taxes. Look at Sen. John Kerry, he got caught, he’ll pay but what about the others.

Anthony was right, the rich just richer, the middle class pays the vast majority of taxes from goods and services and federal taxes and the poor, well they remain in the poor house with no means of escape. You are of the mind set to tax the rich more and more, well they also work for their money. The rich hire people to work for them, so when was the last time a poor man offered a job?

If the Bush tax cuts are allowed to expire on Dec 31, it will affect all of us, you included, all taxable brackets will rise to their pre-2001 levels, capital gains will increase, the marriage penalty returns, child tax credit rolls back to 500 bucks per child. The death tax will be renewed; AMT will hit 2.4 million more tax payers next year. It’s estimated that 115 billion will be returned to the fed gov next year, so why congress can’t cut the federal budget by 115 billion and allow the Bush tax cuts to remain?

Doc what’s your plan, oh that’s right tax the rich, what happens when you run out of other people’s money, where are you going to get it from next. Next time you post something to this site, instead bringing hate bring constructive ideas we all can debate, your kind are destroying my country that I served honorably for so many years. Yes I’m a proud American and retired service member, but right now the American people need jobs, the government needs to balance the budget and cut spending. The day is coming, it may be today, but in twenty or more years this country will be sunk. You and I will still be paying for it as will your children and mine to include our grandchildren we don’t have right now.

I call it as I see it, this congress and president are spending money we don’t have and when the cheque comes due we won’t have the cash on hand to pay, you can bank on that.

      • Brad

        it may not be today

      • Doc Sarvis

If this country really wants to stop the majority of illegal immigration than it will stop employing illegal immigrants.

      • Brad

This country needs to deport the illegal immigrants and fine the company’s that hire them, that’s what the federal government should be doing and isn’t. That’s a Fact. A good friend of mine detailed a plan that would build a 1600 mile double walled fence. The first fence on the border then a 50 foot no mans land then a second fence 20 feet tall made from smooth concrete. What’s your plan Doc Sarvis?

      • Doc Sarvis

I just told you; “IF this country really wants to stop the majority of illegal immigration than it will stop employing illegal immigrants”.

      • http://?? Joe H.

        Doc,
That isn’t half a plan! That will stop new ones from comming but it won’t make all the ones here already leave. We need to make E-verify permanent and manditory for employers, schools, colleges, hospitals and anything else that the American taxpayer has to foot the bill for!
We also have to show a massive show of support for the Arizona law!! Make the politicians see that it is what we want to see in every state. there has been an exodus of illegals out of Arizona over the last week and the states that haven’t shown that they are ready to pass a similar law, have been the recipients of all those that leave!!

      • independant thinker

Or the feds will actualy enforce the current laws against illegal immigration including laws against hiring illegals.

      • missy

What you say is true but the immigrant’s work for less[why remains to be seen]& taxes are a necessary evil in a free country,we need the government elected by the people,to be for the people in this country. Granted there are bad things that happen in this world always has always will, many of these have very poor people, the UNITED STATES OF AMERICA has been helping them for years there ARE still poor people in these country’s, the only difference is we now are becoming just like them,if you have ever talked to someone on a friendly bases you would know socialism does work, but there’s no free enterprise,or free will,& that is the main reason these people came to United States,so they could have something for themselves,we live in the greatest country in the would & SHE is in danger we all are,I guess I to am like so many others on this site I have no clue as to WHAT to do so I sit on my computer & vent.Maybe answer is WAKE -UP =don’t blame Obama or the government take responsibility for your own self if you have a problem
fix it yourself or hire an AMERICAN to do it.buy goods made in U.S.A.
remember any wound heals from the inside.

I’ll ask how you define success.

      • Jeep

Doc, you and I will never agree. Go collect your paycheck from the DNC and call it a day.

      • Jimmy G

We will not stop hiring illegals because we love our money and don’t want to pay Americans more to do the same work. Start by cutting your own grass. Just like in the 80′s when all the workers from the North lost their jobs in Texas, they went home.

      • http://?? Joe H.

        Jimmy G.,
Don’t tell me, let me guess. You are another one that believes that the illegals are only doing jobs that Americans won’t do? I have never hired a landscaper to mow my lawn. I did hire one to pull and get rid of some poison ivy and I knew him well as a neighbor and I can guarantee you he isn’t illegal. Is roofing a job Americans won’t do? Is welding a job Americans won’t do? How about drywall, construction, carpentry, painting, or installing fencing??? I have done all of these and I have a lot of friends that have done them as well. these are jobs proven to be done by illegals as well!

      • Jimmy G

        Joe H,
No, Americans wont do these jobs at the prices paid, at least not in TX. 8 cents a ft to hang drywall, the same to tape and float, $1.50 a ft to pour concrete. But any illegal who has been in America a while gets top dollar. The big tract home and commercial builders get the true wets, not the small guys like me.

If anyone is in this country illegally, they should be sent home along with their wife and kids. We can’t afford to keep them.

If need be, I’ll do their job, hard work is not beneath.

Fact #1: Much like IRAN / like it or not / the USA now has a very public puppet voice for the people who have controlled our currency for the last 100 years. They no longer see the need to hide and use a thousand deceptions to further this agenda.

In my lifetime, we had LBJ during the 60′s; Jimmy Carter imitating Woodrow Wilson with Volker being the active (unelected) President while Jimmy hung out with his Billy-beer brother. Those four years were very cruel on many levels – it did what it was designed to do…. destroyed many traditions of several generations. It left people asking questions and getting no answers, floudering in the pond. Then, we seemed to get something back with Reagan, only he not only had an assassination attempt made on him – harken back to the Sixties once again – he found himself surrounded by operatives no matter which room he might walk into. Then, there was Prescott Bush’s son, George Herbert Walker, a very insane and decidedly mean human being with false ideas of how life should be lived on our small planet. His New World Order speech Just not many in the public sector. Why? Because they had no real clue of the events scripted around them and there was no WWW to go to in those days.

Then, Phase 2 began with Bill Clinton, the new patsy JFK (only this time they KNEW they had a putz with not one shred of courage, period. He had avoided every option of serving in the military – unlike Kennedy and PT109. They may have had to wait for another 30 years, but it was worth it. Without Bill Clinton, GHWB’s speech about a New World Order (smelling all the time like the rebirth of Hitler) would have died a quiet-ignorant death. Clinton signs NAFTA and GATT (despite dire warnings from foreigh politicians….) and we then begin to see JOBS move to Juarez, Mexico … jobs that were just fine, right here in America … the Greed Factor initiated during Reagan with the bean-counters had shifted into 2nd gear.

Move to GWB and the fact that there had been no real conflict of any intensity since Vietnam. If anyone still finds it too incerdible to fathom that Bankers make the most PROFIT only when we’re at WAR.. Well, they can stay living in their Parent’s basement forever – the world would be better off with them not being involved in any fashion. George Jr. did exactly as he was ordered to do. Not having the anile malice of his Father, he too became the perfect neitzschie-indoctrinated patsy from the “other” Political Party.

Up until then, it had always been the Left who did the financial damage to the Country, keeping people dependent on the Nanny State — GWB stuck us in yet another very unnecessary WAR Don’t believe me? Check the debt ceiling during 2000-2008. EVERYTHING this Country becomes is based mostly on how much debt we are incurring. We live in a Money Paradigm. We do not live in an Engineering, nor an Agrerian Society … The latter being a “not-yet” situation.

Oh, this is a lot of information – but sidebar next to this discussion what was happening to the Money along the way. Reaganomics proved once and for all, that lowering taxes causes people to spend money (and pay the taxes on goods and services “willingly”). The US Treasury coffers ballooned like nobody’s business. Not since JFK had we seen such a public flow of money trickling down to the most basic of grassroots citizens. Even those barely above poverty suddenly had 3 color tv’s and two cars. It looked like families could finally go back to a one-paycheck arrangement and not only make ends meet, but enjoy life a llittle, as well. At least, in the Eighties, it seemed like that was how things were going. In the Nineties, Gingrich shammed us a little further in that direction, despite Clinton’s retro-active/back-dated 1993 tax hike (a very unnecessary move, btw, Reagan proved that hands down).

During the 80′s and 90′s, the Banks were NOT making any real profits. Nothing like what they had accomplished during WWII, Korea or ‘Nam. Folks, I’m talking HUGE/IMMENSE profits. The count of zeros in the total sum is always the game with those who control the currency. They are never worried about being affected by the events they script – they are always exempt. YOU, however, are not. It’s the HAVEs and the HAVE-NOTs. Not Liberal, nor Conservative.

A long long time ago, a General in the US Army (circa 1800′s) had written up a plan, a 200 year plan, for consolidation of the world’s resources and wealth, all in one bucket – totally controlled by a very small group. His name was Albert Pike. At this point in my lifetime, 2/3′s of his Pike’s Plan has seen fruition. Both WWI and WWII are considered by the Moneyed Elite to be total successes. The surprises? The advance of technology, especiallly the Wild Web. The last being something that has gotten just a tad bit out of hand from their perspective. I ask you – do you ever hear of a Rockefeller being worried about having to serve in the US Military? Ever?

All of these items I have mentions are directly interacted with the flow of REAL money (vasts sums of FIAT dollars). We’re not talking about you buying a half-million dollar house. We’re not even talking about the Kennedy Estate (whatever that’s worth) or the Onassis Fortune. We are discussing half the world’s wealth – which happens to be in THIS Country. Go to Youtube as I constantly advise, make sure you have RealplayerSP installed first, abd search for THE MONEY MASTERS. With the realplayer software, you will find you can download the whole thing for free. Go after all of the recommended similar videos YouTube might list — then make it your weekend romp to disprove what the documentary claims. If you can. The Lefties will write it off … just see if you can disprove it all.

Timothy Geithner is a Former Head of the Central Bank Cartel in this Country – THE FEDERAL RESERVE (an entity that has never paid any type of tax in any fashion during its entire existence – what about that, Eddie or Denniso) THE FED “loans us our own money” …at interest. It’s the best ponzi scheme ever devised. It was brought upon us by Progressives. AKA: Communists.

NOTE: Communism will never work if the People-in-Charge never have to suffer its affects, like the rest of any Country might have to. It’s just another form of criminality… nothing else.

WEALTH IS NEVER DESTROYED … MERELY TRANSFERRED / Never forget that.
The Money Worth Factor? Depends on how often you print dollars out of thin air.

During Reaganomics, the people on the street learned that being able to have something in life, could actually be possible. After Reagan, all of that was purposely perverted by those in charge of our Currency – I cite Clinton’s re-writing of the Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac Mission Statements and his Adminsitrations workings to claim real ownership / using Nationalism / of AIG. For the Money Masters, a very very necessary gambit, which has paid huge sums to the coffers of THE FED and no one else.

So – what’s left of the American Dream? Practically nothing. Other than the Banking Cartel seeing there is still several trillion in the public’s hands, which (as far as they are concerned) is still theirs / was always their all along – they were merely loaning it to “us” and let’s see you tell them otherwise. After all, THEY are in charge of OUR money…right?

I will harp about this until I’m dead. If we do not DEFUND THE FED, then actions as what is discussed in this Article will never stop occurring. Ever. Such events have been occurring on different levels since the 1st Bank of the United States was created. And, as Jefferson said, it is a bad thing to have someone aside from those we elect, to be in charge of our wealth. This is the case in every Country on this Planet, except IRAN, LIBYA, SUDAN and maybe one or two more Countries. EVERYONE ELSE dances, money-wise, to the marching orders of the MONEY MASTERS. Like it or not, this is…the real deal. Claim they are charitable, philanthropic… whatever…it’s complete BS. People who control money don’t even bother with knowing if you exist. Make that a note pasted on your bathroom mirror and KEEP IT THERE.

When taxes rise, the weeks prior to its becoming the law of the land, ALL persons with any kind of wealth at all, will move their money into other cofferes where it will not be affected, hardly at all. Try reading up on the history of wealth in this Country over the last 40 years and see where the upper crust keeps re-positioning their dollars during such times. Rally…. go look it up. Don’t wait for someone else to hold your hand… go look it up. It’s fairly easy to learn about, actually. Heck, if I can do it… then, it should be a snap for the Lefties..yes?

The Wealthier of American citizens will be hardly affected by this TAX HIKE, period.
The LARGEST GRUOP of taxpayers, however, will be stomped on like never before.
THAT GROUP BEING – THE MIDDLE CLASS. WE are the largest resource of taxable goods.

If you have 1/10th of an ounce of gray matter whatsoever – embed this fact into your skulls… the middle class has always been the real source of wealth to the Government any day of the week. Because we are the largest group in this Country. It’s just the facts, ma’am.

Those who have always bought Government Bonds, and such? These are the people who always get advance notice of such tax hikes and their money is already positioned away from any affect it might cause. There may be a few who are grasping at more profits today, but tomorrow, it will be hidden away with all the tactics made available only to the Landed and the Wealthy in this Country. THE FED knows where it needs support to stay afloat .. and it’s the blueblood newenglander types who have always pushed for their profit margin at the expense of our Country’s freedoms. Read Hamilton’s Curse and find out just how smart you’re not.

This tax is definitively meant for THE MIDDLE CLASS – to destroy it.
The Rich getting taxed? You actually believe that nonsense? SeriouslY?
Folks, such a thing has never happened. If a Wealthy person was ever stuck paying huge sums in taxes… it’s because they were TOO STOOPID and deserved to lose their money in the first place. Period.

THE RICH WILL NOT PAY THIS NEW TAX – The Government has made too many loopholes to aid them in the avoidance of such events. Heck, look at John Kerry trying to anchor his Yacht in Rhode Island, so he won’t have to pay the $500,000 tax due on it if he keeps it in his Home State. These loopholes were made specifically for the wealthy – whithout them, the Oligarch-style Federalists in charge of our Hamiltonian Government would fall out of power almost overnite.

As for Gore, Oprah, or whomever? They don’t even keep their money in this Country to begin with. Such wealth is hidden in Switzerland, and other places where were left with options (527′s ?) with which to hide it all, so they can maintain their power over us, the not-so-smart, as we always fall for the BoobTube being allowed to control what we knw and when we should act upon the pittance of knowledge they decide to share with us.

When it’s all over… the very people who have illegally gotten rich over the last decade or two, will still be there in the Bohemian Grove, laughing at the rest of us… who were all waiting for someone else to do something…..whatever that was supposed to be.

We are going to war, folks – it’s the only type of real profit the Central Bank prefers. Why? Because the loans they give to Government s to fight in these War(s), is repaid by the sweat on our backs. The loans are guaranteed by the taxes we pay – if not for the 16th amendment, THE FED would have been bankrupt a long long time ago. And, the 16th Amendment was never legally ratifited. Go look that up, too, while your comprehension of my discertation gives you headaches.

s.c. – I count you as a friend. I hope you don’t take my comments as an insult to your posting. It was not meant in that light. Still, the above is very necessary information. One must know thy enemy before one can properly defend itself. Let alone, win the battle.

    QUOTE -

“Let me issue and control a nation’s money and I care not who writes the laws.”
    - Mayer Amschel Rothschild / circa 1790.

SO, FOLKS – what side of the fence do you stand?

    • Bruce

Anthony, Great post and very down to the point.

    • s c

Not a problem, Anthony. So have you investigated THE religious conspiracy that underpins the entire effin’ situation? Without that, the rest won’t make sense, regardless of how much research is involved.
Please remember that many folks out there on the internet aren’t yet ready for who and what controls the Fed, let alone are they ready for who does what and how they do it. No Hollywood script writer could ever come close to revealing the layers of infamy that have been foisted on America and the rest of the world.
It’s still unfolding, and the end of the plot(s) will do a lot more than make the hair on the back of every neck stand up and twitch. People who are reluctant to talk or think about conspiracies live in a special world of stupidity and denial that will eventually explode in their self-deceived faces.
      No mortal can stop it.

I hope that many people that do not understand what is going on in our country will read and comprehend exactly what is going on. America has been asleep for a long time while the progressives have been very active in what is happening now. They work in the dark of the night while we sleep. Middle class is like being the middle child, you are left behind. God bless us all.

      • http://LibertyDigest Michael G.

I agree. I’m afraid all Obama has done is awaken a sleeping giant, and is beginning to fill him with terrible resolve. (Original quote was from Yammomoto (sp)right after the bombing of Pearl Harbor. When it comes to money, I don’t have any. What little I have isn’t mine. I’m just the steward of something that belongs to someone else.

      • Mike

I’m an independent and here’s what I see. For 50 years the wages for the middle class have changed by 0% while CEO pay has gone up more than 400%. The GOP talks about staying competitive to wages and profits in counties that have drastically lower standards of living, extreme separations in income levels, and almost no middle class. I feel like I’m hearing a narrative from the Republicans that says that they WANT that- that there is no limit to how much the general population should sacrifice so that the top can profit big or else we won’t progress. What kind of progress is that? I believe in fiscal conservatism (kill the debt, lower corporate taxes, and eliminate exemptions), but this is not the direction I want the country headed in and that seems to be the trend being pushed b the GOP now.

    • Al Sieber

Good post Anthony, thats how I always figured it was, but try telling someone else or getting them to listen. I just about gave up talking to people about who’s in control.

    • http://Google ProudChicagoan

When the Senators and Representatives are taxed, then maybe I will believe this presidency. I do not see anybody in government (or their buddies) getting this tax. All I see happening with letting the tax cuts die for people making over $250,000.00/year is that it will hurt small business. You think we have a recession now, just wait. If small businesses are suffering and have to close, we will have a depression. I work for a small business, and we cannot handle too many tax hikes. In case you have not heard, everybody is going to be effected by obamacare. Any money your employer pays for individual insurance will be on the employee’s W-2 as income starting with 2011 income tax. So. obama is not just getting the wealthy with this tax hike (which I think is wrong), he will be getting everyone who works and has insurance through their company. I am sure there are other ways obama and his cronies are going to nail anyone who works so he can support welfare and food stamps and illegal immigrants. We are just not hearing about it.

    • Angel

Wow, it is really nice to know that other people “get it”. Can you say Illuminati?

sc…what about a religious conspiracy? I happen to be a Christian and I see it. But the thing is…it IS all in the Bible. The Bible speaks of a one world government. The Bible speaks of all this control and the taking of our rights. There are many Christians like me who know the truth. Many know that they are trying to take our God given rights from us. What God gives, no man can take away. Life, came fro, God…liberty (freedom of choice) came for God and we all are allowed to pursue our happiness, but the decisions we make, if they are bad decisions will affect us.

      • s c

Angel, dig deeper than the Illuminati. America’s ‘mainstream’ churches are apostate. Think of ‘mainstream’ religion the same way you would so-called liberals or so-called republicans. Know any reputable liberals? Know any reputable republicans?
‘Mainstream’ religion and the vermin who run Washington all work for the same “boss.” Dig deep. ‘Trust’ a religious leader the same way you would a politician. Religion and politics are teammates, and the fascism that’s at our front will be finalized and honed by “religion.”

      • http://?? Joe H.

        SC,
does that mean Ron Paul is not honorable. He DID run as a republican, remember?

    • pappy

      Well said
      This is a class war

    • Chris

Anthony, I have been told I was a conspiracy theory nut for the last 20 years!! Boy did you hit the nail on the head!! I have been reading & studing the same info for the last 20 years. Note the last couple of years not so many people think I am ” Out There ” people are waking up!!! I have leased part of my office to a CPA that does my taxes, he said the same thing this last winter, that Obamma does not have to do a dam thing to raise taxes, just sit back & let all these existing tax exemptions that expire at the end of the year go into effect, That the middle class will see there tax liabilty doulble, including mine!

      • http://?? Joe H.

        Chris,
now how could that be?? All the libbies have been screaming that these tax breaks are for just the mega rich, and we all know they are never wrong!!! I’m gonna laugh like he!! when they get the increase in their taxes as well!!! Everybody has been trying to tell them without success but they will find out next year!!

    • Winnie

Anthony, you have hit the nail on the head with your post. I thank you for all information you have provided.

  • s c

An accurate way to define insanity is the consistent pursuit of a goal via wrong decisions at the wrong time for the wrong reasons. That, in a nutshell defines progressivism and the current prez.
According to progressive theory, if we could tax ‘the rich’ enough and do it often enough, life would be beautiful, and all our problems would end.
Give it a try, retards. But, this time, start with Soros, Gates and Buffet. After them, line up all your filthy rich chums and stick it to ‘em (don’t forget Oprah or Gore).
When they stop telling you to piss off and tax someone else, maybe you’ll start to get the idea. Taxing the rich may feel good at the moment, but what it really amounts to is a form of mental self-abuse. Mental self-abuse is what progressives are all about. You know it. I know. Now, try and get a progressive to admit it.

    • SmokyBonz

      And,whats in your wallet?

    • pappy

Just letting the foolish Bush tax cuts expire
now we need to recind the Raygun tax cuts
and stop welfare for the rich and corporations

      • Papadale

        Get a grip!

      • Jeep

You must be talking about the billions your boy gave to goldman, et al.

      • http://naver samurai

I don’t know what you’ve been smoking, but it is time to STOP! If the first round of Bush’s tax cuts expire, then everyone’s taxes would increase by 5-10%. Do you want more money out of your check and in the government’s pocket, hmmm…..?

    • eddie47d

Your always the putz SC Are you Ann Coulter on steroids? Progressives like Gore,Gates,Oprah ect.are willing to pay more and understand the situation. Taxes are a major burden for the middle class why don’t you give a rats behind about them. Instead of fawning all over incompetent corporate CEO’s.

      • d74eidde

Really, can you possibly expound at length with detail about the good points of the Bush Tax Cuts expiring, especially during this extroardinarily tough economic decline the American people are suffering with? I’d enjoy hearing your answer and would prefer it not be a retort of any kid.

      • Viktor Leben

If you want to pay extra taxes, why aren’t you making a contribution to lowering the national debt ?

Sure ! Gore, Gates ,Soros and the rest of the super rich progressives could just voluntarily pay a extra every April….. We don’t need to let those tax breaks expire so they can pay more, they can pay more now !

But why am I being FORCED to do the same thing ? Just because some super rich progressives are “jumping off the bridge” why do I have to ?

      • mule

97% of the people are suffering , 3% are doing fine regardless of what’s going on.Who do you think received the BAILOUT MONEY that the last adminstration handed out before they left office. And no ones asking for an explination as to how that money was spent. Wonder what Jefferson Davis told those poor southern son that convinced them to lay down their lives to protect slavery and a way of life that wasn’t theirs. As they were a little more than slaves themselves. Some of that top 3% sent their slaves along with the good old boys to fight their share of the war. WAKE UP PEOPLE BP peed on lately.

  • http://?? Joe H.

Nobama reminds me of Wilma And Betty on the flintstones except not only does he say “CHARGE IT!!!” He also says “TAX THEM!!!” China loves him!!! Should tell you something!!!
