The people in the area had to be evacuated for fear of an explosion. So far that leakeage is under control. Maybe this happens more often than we are told by the news media. The news media hides too much for fear of being biased towards Fox news. I say grow some balls and bring out all the facts on BP and other stories. I worked in civil engineering for enough years that logically the blowout needed plugging with heavy mud and shotcreted. Why are we drilling so far out and so deep? There are sources on land and in shallower water, not as far from shore. FEDERAL regulations forced them to go where they are. As far as clean-up goes, we need the best engineers there are to repair the problem. Fix it first, using the resources you need, no matter where they came from. Send BP the bill. Play the useless “blame game” later. Find out what went wrong, so it doesn’t happen again. Move on. Who gave what to whom, and how much..is not the issue. BP certainly did not create the castrophy, nor was it done on purpose. Equipment and people wear out and more importantly, make mistakes. The American people need this oil. Not just for transportation fuel but hundreds of products that we use and depend upon every day. BP and other oil producers are making sure we have those products. We know that the results of this blow out is going to be detrametal to wildlife and the enviroment. But we will recover as we always do. It will just take time and we will learn from it. If we are patient, the problem will eventually be solved. Placing blame and pointing fingers only enriches the political fires and that is not what this is about.
