Resurgence Of 'Anti-government Extremism' Comes Under Increasing Criticism

April 22, 2010 by

Resurgence of 'anti-government extremism' comes under increasing criticism As America marked the 15th anniversary of the Oklahoma City bombing on April 19, some organizations have expressed concerns about the rise of rhetoric that can be perceived as anarchist and violent.

One of those organizations was the Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR), a national Muslim civil rights and advocacy group, which called on Americans to challenge the recent resurgence of what it says is the same anti-government extremism that led to the bombing of the Murrah Federal Building in Oklahoma City masterminded by Timothy McVeigh and Terry Nichols.

"As we commemorate [this] anniversary … we must also recognize that the same anti-government extremism that led to the attack is growing and is unfortunately moving toward the mainstream," said CAIR national executive director Nihad Awad.

He also pointed to the recent attack on the Internal Revenue Service (IRS) facility in Texas, the shooting of guards at the Pentagon and the arrests of anti-government militia members who allegedly planned to kill law enforcement officers to spark an anti-government revolt as examples of this type of danger.

Meanwhile, a report by the Southern Poverty Law Center, titled Rage on the Right, noted that "militias and other organizations that see the federal government as part of a plot to impose ‘one-world government’ on liberty-loving Americans came roaring back after years out of the limelight."

However, those who have spoken against the government say they are concerned about the administration’s growing reach into their lives, which includes higher taxes, healthcare system regulations and attempts to reduce access to guns. ADNFCR-1961-ID-19731717-ADNFCR

Bush didn’t get called any names till he made it clear he had no intention of avenging 9/11… Bushs polls were Almost 90% after the attack which means liberals like me were supporting him and our country…. You anti American traitors and rightwing kooks started in on President Obama before he was even elected….so don’t even try and equate calling Bush names with what you have done and called president Obama…..it just proves how ignorant and hypocritical you are….

    • ratuig dog

Daer Chaos Factor there is nothing hypocritical in calling a man what he is! Which is that the guy in the white hous is a LIAR and that is the TRUTH not a hypocritical statement!!!

    • Cribster

Those of us who are aware and didn’t fall for the “hope and change” platitudes saw the nightmare for what he is and tried to warn the populous.

He doesn’t have one decent friend or associate in his past. He has no experience doing anything other than stirring up unrest in urban centers. The one fact we did have was that he was the most liberal voter in the Senate, that is when he was not voting “present” to continue his lifetime of deception and his grooming for a presidential run.

Oblahblah is a complete fraud, he doesn’t deserve to be within 100 feet of the American flag let alone traipsing through the White House along with the freak show he’s assembled for an administration.

I think that he will hang himself sooner or later. You can’t keep up this level of destruction and deception for too long before it all comes toppling down, hence his rush for everything.

Liberal/socialists should get down on their knees and thank God (or whoever they pray to – perhaps Al Gore) for Timothy McVeigh. If not for him they would not have a boogey man to constantly use against principled opponents of their agenda.
Incidentally, while much has been made of the Oklahoma City bombing anniversary. I haven’t heard much about April 19 as the 235th anniversary of the stand by ignorant, rabble-rousing farmers at Lexington and Concord against the world’s most powerful army. Could they have been the “seditionists” Clinton recently warned us against?

    • ratuig dog

One thing that has to be understood is that the left/socialist/liars are all more about idealogy and agenda than reality! Ive noticed that whenever I dissagree with a l/s/l nut they seem to ask basic simplistic questions like “don’t you agree that everyone should have health insurance”. They don’t ask specific questions like is it feasible can we or our country afford it how will it be paid for etc. They want to hear you say that “yes everyone should have health insurance” by you saying this one statement all youre doing is justifying their mindset and their belief system that they are correct in their thinking and that they are the better person. In spite of the fact that we will end up like Greece and the other Eurpean countries that are in deep financial trouble becaue of their socialistic spending. And I’m only using the healthcatre argument as an example for their way of thinking.
As far as the lies that the left is constantly hurling at the republicans and at all the AMERICANS in the tea party rallies, it just shows their fear at how AMERICANS are waking to the fact of all the lies that the LIAR IN THE WHITE HOUSE and the democrats have been using to spread their agenda in the government. They are really afraid that AMERICANS

      • ratuig dog

(continuing) have realized what kind of people they have placed in the government and AMERICANS are having buyers remorse about the liars in control!
As for Timothy McVeigh I’ve always noticed whenever I dissagree with an l/s/l nut and the topic is terrorism, I always point out the basic truth that the majority of terrorist are muslim inspite of their nationality or race and the leftist/socialist/liars can and in almost all cases bring up Timothy Mcveigh he seems to their their only lifeline or the only person that they can bring in their defense of their arguments to defend the false muslim religion trying to be polictcally correct (denial). Ihave to agree wiht ‘Cribster” cair is ani-American it’s just another leftist/democratic group that is only out to push it’s self serving agenda for it’s false religion and its false god.
And again the left is afraid fo what the AMERICAN people are starting to see and realize about them that’s why they’re hurling so much hate at the right and the Tea Party Americns!! That’s all they have is lies and hate to try to stay in power.
In closing I would like to say the we have to start boycotting all the l/s/l t.v. stations that are not reporting the truth and instead lies. There are so many Americans who believe what they are being spoon fed by the l/s/l media. They are nothing but sheople and being fed nothing but grass

      • Ronald Reagan

Rat… You’ve Been Told over and overhow the Healthcare bill will be paid for, the CBO ( congress) even told you the bill cuts the deficit by 1.38 billion on the first decade… You just aren’t capable of grasping the information… I’ll take a price tag of 940 billion to give Americans access to healthcare anyday… The bill pays for itself… Along with the tax cuts that expire on the top 2%… I’m thinking you aren’t in the top 2 %…now compare healthcare for America to the 3 trillion Bushs personal war aginst Iraq cost , with no benifit at all for America, to 940 billion that directly benifits all America…. You just can’t grasp it…. But your already paying for those that don’t have healthcare when they get sick and have to go to an emergency room… Which cost far more than seeing a real doctor… But I doubt you’ll get it..

      • ratuig dog

Ronald: As I stated earlier here is the same problem, that you have been lied to by the l/s/l media and the guy in the white house and also the democratic politicians. Did you know that the liar in the white house has spent more money in his first year in office than George Bush spent the 7 years he was fighting the terrorist in Iraq!! No you wouldn’t know that because as I’ve stated you are one of the many sheople that are being spoon fed lies by the media and the liars in power. I guess you didn’t hear about the C.B.O releasing a staement about how in 10 years we will be at 90% of G.D.P (Greece is at 115% and they are broke and their banks are on the verge of collapse) I guess you didn’t hear about that either considering youre source for the truth which is the l/s/l media.

      • BigBadJohn

Gosh I starting to sound like a broken record.

“Did you know that the liar in the white house has spent more money in his first year in office than George Bush spent the 7 years he was fighting the terrorist in Iraq!!”

CHECK YOUR FACTS – DON’T BELIEVE THE BS!!!!!!!!

        http://www.treasurydirect.gov/NP/NPGateway

        2008 GEORGE BUSH – 1.5 TRILLION

        2009 to present Obama – 2.2 TRILLION

WAY too much but NOT what you claim…..

      • Claire

I often wonder about this comment—- “You have to spend it to make it.”

      • Airangel

You don’t get it if you believe the lies. Government hasn’t balanced anything or reduced deficit spending and they won’t here either. There are already free clinics for those without health care. This is a socialistic power grab giving the goverment access to everyone’s financial bank accounts to seize money however they want to if needed. Especially for penalties and fines for those that don’t want to buy insurance because they prefer alternative methods…hmmm if we do go broke the government can take money out of everyone’s accounts since this Health Care bill gives them the power as it is snuck in there in all the 3,200 pages.

Companies are realizing the astronomical coverage costs they face; employers are facing severe cutbacks and overseas relocations as a result of the new tax and regulatory burdens; thousands of uninsured Americans are learning they’ll remain so for another four years; and millions of Medicare Advantage recipients will suffer coverage reductions and even termination of their plans.

Read the bill before you spout media propaganda!

      • http://?? Joe H.

yeah, it’s going to be paid for by cuts in medicare and adding people 59 years old and above to its ranks!! The Mayo Clinic in Arizona has already said that after the first of the year they will not be taking any more patients on medicare as they cannot afford it! It will soon be impossible for any medicare patients to find care anywhere as the government has screwed it up so bad! don’t forget even if you are “young” now, you get closer to that magic number 59 every day!!!

  • Cribster

I’m supposed to take ANYTHING SPLC or CAIR says seriously?! They are the antithisis of “WE The People”. CAIR and SPLC are anti-American, pro special interests, they are complete garbage and a major source of negativity.

All these panicky outbursts from Clinton and the other twisted liberals are obvious, disingenuous theatrics. It would almost be laughable if it wasn’t so underhanded and repugnant.

They are getting hysterical because there is a great awakening and it’s becoming harder to fool the masses, partially because of the availablility of information but more because we are being pushed too far!

  • skywolf23

i guess it is ok for left wingers on their blogs to say things like “bush and co. ought to be shot” or all the glee when tony snow got cancer on liberal blogs. on and on but that stuff never gets much attention.

right wingers do the same and suddenly it is a national emergency. not that that should excuse anyone saying anything overly inflammatory. like someone should be killed or other such nonsense.

all this comes when the white house is demonizing fox news and independent/conservative talk show hosts. would love to get guns out of the hands of the public. and would love even more to sink the tea party as a bunch of right wing nuts.

and why have we never really gone hard after elf and those other left wing groups that have destroyed property, mailed out pipe bombs and have shown ever inclination to use violence against anyone they deem enemies of nature.

of course right wing extrimist groups are out there and in the current climate communists in the white house, continuing massive government expansion, and of course they are going to be more riled up. not that we can just ignore that, but both sides have their extremes and are armed, how babout we focus on all equally and stop trying to pass the blame around to the tea party and fox news and glenn beack etc.

    • JC

How about this: Everyone involved with putting a non American in the Oval Office should be tried for treason. Is that inflammatory?

      • skywolf23

heck jc i been saying all of congress and white house should be tried for treason and violating their oaths of office for a good long while now. could probably try 3/4 of the congress and presidents in history for violating their oaths of office.

not going to touch the obama is or isnt a real united states citizen thing, i do not like the guy i do not like his politics and that is enough.

i just draw the line when it comes to threatening peoples lives. i would be all for a few million people marching on washington and shutting down the place and ousting the bastards. each and every last one of them, but then the question is if we could pull that off who would take over? but nonviolence is the key, we could effect change in this nation if you got enough people sick to death of the bullshit in washington and they had the will to do something about it.

the electorate is so ill informed and disconnected from the process it is laughable, but that is just the way washington and the press wants it. politics is local, the furthur you remove it from the local level and the more convoluted you can make the laws and the more petty and disgusting you can make the process the less people pay attention. and washington has it all down to a ugly art form.

100 years ago people payed attention, people knew what was going on and they voted their hearts and souls, now day we are so disconnected from the actual process and busy with work, families and just trying to get by that mixed with the whole shitstorm the entire washington system is is it any wonder half the people that vote do not know who is in charge of congress? who the house and senate leaders are and what party they belong to?

all we get hammered with at election time is negative ads and platitudes and alot of no speak political jibberish. only a politician or lawyer can answer a question and lie through their teeth or talk in circles and not answer a damn thing and get away it it for the most part. and the press is mostly wholly complicate by never mentioning democrat in news stories if it is something bad 90% of the time. but heralding it if it is a republican and making sure it gets mentioned a dozen times in the same article or news story. or making sure when dan quail or cheny made a gaff it was all over the place but gore and biden can make equal mistakes and they never get a mention. hell gore has made a career of being galactically stupid and dishonest and gets a nobel prize for his efforts.

      • James

        Great commentary skywolf23!

      • JC

        Thanks skywolf. Good perspective.

      • Claire

        skywolf23– Very good post.

    • Raggs

I agree with you but the left know that they are in dookie so the only way they have to control anything is to demonize the right.
If you notice it is the left throwing hate not the right.
The right is merely stating a concern with an over expanding government..

      • BigBadJohn

        POT – KETTLE – BLACK

The right is getting taste of their own medicine….
How many years has the right been putting up the constant chatter about mainstream media? OR calling anyone that even QUESTIONED Bush a Muslim traitor? The the right wing all but shutdown criticism of Bush, up until about 2006. Now the left is making the same kind of fuss, but you don’t like it it……. Bush was given a free hand for at least 6 years that republicans had control!

      • http://?? Joe H.

        BBJ,
just file that with your “I used to be a republican” and all the other fairy tales!!!

      • BigBadJohn

I will Joe I’ll file you under “used to have a brain”

      • JC

Really…what is your point? One bad President is an excuse for an even worse imposter? Small small small minded….

      • BigBadJohn

The point is the same people that supported Bush, want to put the same republicans back in power. That is a very important point – I do not like what is going on in the current administration but I certainly do not want the same people back that have sold our country down the river….

      • http://?? Joe H.

        BBJ,
you should learn the difference between RINO and conservative, you really should!! Bush and most repubs back to but not including Reagan were RINOs!!!

  • Raggs

Who is the bad guy here?
obama, pelosi, reid and clinton are telling us to shut up or else.

    Isaiah 65:24

This is a story written by a doctor who worked in Africa .
One night I had worked hard to help a mother in the labor ward; but in spite of all we could do, she died, leaving us with a tiny, premature baby and a crying two-year-old daughter. We would have difficulty keeping the baby alive; as we had no incubator (we had no electricity to run an incubator).

We also had no special feeding facilities.

Although we lived on the equator, nights were often chilly with treacherous drafts. One student midwife went for the box we had for such babies and the cotton wool that the baby would be wrapped in.

Another went to stoke up the fire and fill a hot water bottle. She came back shortly in distress to tell me that in filling the bottle, it had burst (rubber perishes easily in tropical climates)..

‘And it is our last hot water bottle!’ she exclaimed. As in the West, it is no good crying over spilled milk, so in Central Africa
it might be considered no good crying over burst water bottles.

They do not grow on trees, and there are no drugstores down forest pathways.

‘All right,’ I said, ‘put the baby as near the fire as you safely can, and sleep between the baby and the door to keep it free from drafts Your job is to keep the baby warm.’

The following noon, as I did most days, I went to have prayers with any of the orphanage children who chose to gather with me. I gave the youngsters various suggestions of things to pray about and told them about the tiny baby. I explained our problem about keeping the baby warm enough, mentioning the hot water bottle, and that the baby could so easily die if it got chills. I also told them of the two-year-old sister, crying because her mother had died.

During prayer time, one ten -year-old girl, Ruth, prayed with the usual blunt conciseness of our African children. ‘Please, God’ she prayed, ‘Send us a hot water bottle today It’ll be no good tomorrow, God, as the baby will be dead, so please send it this afternoon.’

While I gasped inwardly at the audacity of the prayer, she added, ‘And while You are about it, would You please send a dolly for the little girl so she’ll know You really love her?’

As often with children’s prayers, I was put on the spot. Could I honestly say ‘Amen?’ I just did not believe that God could do this.

Oh, yes, I know that He can do everything; the Bible says so. But there are limits, aren’t there? The only way God could answer this particular prayer would be by sending me a parcel from the homeland. I had been in Africa for almost four years at that time, and I had never, ever, received a parcel from home.

Anyway, if anyone did send me a parcel, who would put in a hot water bottle? I lived on the equator!

Halfway through the afternoon, while I was teaching in the nurses’ training school, a message was sent that there was a car at my front door. By the time I reached home, the car had gone, but there on the verandah was a large 22-pound parcel. I felt tears pricking my eyes. I could not open the parcel alone, so I sent for the orphanage children.. Together we pulled off the string, carefully undoing each knot. We folded the paper, taking care not to tear it unduly Excitement was mounting. Some thirty or forty pairs of eyes were focused on the large cardboard box. From the top, I lifted out brightly-colored, knitted jerseys. Eyes sparkled as I gave them out. Then there were the knitted bandages for the leprosy patients, and the children looked a little bored.. Then came a box of mixed raisins and sultanas – that would make a batch of buns for the weekend.

Then, as I put my hand in again, I felt the…..could it really be?

I grasped it and pulled it out. Yes, a brand new, rubber hot water bottle. I cried.

I had not asked God to send it; I had not truly believed that He could.

Ruth was in the front row of the children. She rushed forward, crying out, ‘If God has sent the bottle, He must have sent the dolly, too!’

Rummaging down to the bottom of the box, she pulled out the small, beautifully-dressed dolly. Her eyes shone! She had never doubted!

Looking up at me, she asked, ‘Can I go over with you and give this dolly to that little girl, so she’ll know that Jesus really loves her?’

    ‘Of course,’ I replied!

That parcel had been on the way for five whole months, packed up by my former Sunday school class, whose leader had heard and obeyed God’s prompting to send a hot water bottle, even to the equator.

And one of the girls had put in a dolly for an African child – five months before, in answer to the believing prayer of a ten-year-old to bring it ‘that afternoon.’

‘Before they call, I will answer.’ (Isaiah 65:24)

When you receive this, say the prayer. That’s all I ask. No strings attached. Just send it on to whomever you want – but do send it on.

Prayer is one of the best free gifts we receive. There is no cost, but a lot of rewards. Let’s continue praying for one another.

This awesome prayer takes less than a minute.

Heavenly Father, I ask you to bless my friends reading this. I ask You to minister to their spirit. Where there is pain, give them Your peace and mercy. Where there is self doubting, release a renewed confidence to work through them Where there is tiredness or exhaustion, I ask You to give them understanding, guidance, and strength. Where there is fear, reveal our love and release to them Your courage.. Bless their finances, give them greater vision, and raise up leaders and friends to support and encourage them. I ask You to do these things in Jesus’ name. Amen

    P. S. Passing this on to anyone you consider a friend will bless you both. Passing this on to one not considered a friend is something Christ would do

I suggest EVERYONE read Jayna Davis’ book, “The Third Terrorist”. The writer was a reporter in Oklahoma at the time of the bombing and she did extensive research on the bombing. This is a MUST read to see what background the third terrorist had/has who worked with McVeigh and Nichols to bring down that building. And, No, it’s not Bush’s fault. He wasn’t President then.

    Victor,

Perhaps he is a follower of the “British Israel” subversive movement. Read “The Neutralizers”, a chapter in the book, “The New Americanism”, by Robert Welch, for an explanation of how the Communists have used false religious notions to lead patriots astray and “newtralize” thei effctiveness against big government.

Fact: America is Israel, not Judah! Fact: Hebrew is Yahweh’s only inspired Language(Zeph. 3:9)! Fact: Yahweh spoke Hebrew(Acts 26:14)! Fact: Israel is forbidden from putting a “foreigner” over them(Deut. 17:15)! Fact: “Women” did just that in the last election! Fact: Some things do not change from the original sin, do they? Fact: The Sabbath is the Seventh Day Forever, NOT SUNDAY(Exodus 31:13)! FACT: Sabbath Rest is the only sign given to Yahweh’s people! FACT: Sabbaths include all Annual Sabbaths too! Fact: This will bring on Yahweh’s Two-Witnesses to punish Israel for 3 1/2 years, probably starting this September 9th! Fact: Even the Roman Catholic Church acknowledges the translation error made in 1520 by Petrus Galatinus and that it should have been the “Name” Yahweh, and not Jehovah! Fact: Yahshua(means Yahweh is salvation in Hebrew!), is Yahweh’s only begotten son and our only Savior! Also, fact: The “LORD” in Hebrew means “Baal” worship, which is absolutely forbidden! Some things never change, do they? Israel is about to be punished for 3 1/2 years through Yahshua’s two-witnesses! Fact: You’re going to HATE THESE TWO WITNESSES AGAINST ISRAEL, especially YOU WOMEN! Well isn’t cair just so pro American! There are extremists on every side and cair just happens to be one of them! What happened to the democrats seperation of church and state when it comes to Islam? Lets see, footbaths in the KC airport, footbaths in citizen paid for colleges, special times in public schools for prayer and lets not forget the special rooms for girls and boys. Last time I checked, the citizens paid for that airport and that makes it govt. owned and run. But the dmocrats are good at having different standards for their group and different for everyone else.

Now as for “extremists”. The left hanging Bush in effigy, ranting and holding posters of Bush with a bullet through his forehead or wearing a Hitler mustache are ok, but ordinary citizens who happen to be working folk, gathered together to tell the “president” that they don’t like where he’s taking this country are right away demonized to be terrorists. Well if that isn’t the pot calling the kettle black, I don’t know what else it could be! And as for Clinton, your through, you had your time in office, so just go to your 10 million dollar “home” and enjoy your retirement, we want to hear from you as much as we want to hear from Jimmy Carter, the anti semite and appeaser.

    • Chaos Factor

Bush gave us 6000 Americans killed in Iraq , 50, 000 injured …100′s of thousands of dead Iraqis, millions wounded , Bush trampled allover the constitution, tortured prisoners…Bush drove our countrys economy into a ditch, worst recession since the 1930′s. put us in debt to china forever…Bush signed the Bailout bill … Gave us the patriot act.( repeal it now)………….. And President Obama gave America healthcare… And most of president Obamas spending has been a direct result of Bushs economy…..Bush deserved being slammed….

      • Robin from Arcadia, IN

Chaos Factor… Are you living in the past or just come out of a coma? George Bush is no longer President. Not much we can do about history, except learn from it.

      • BigBadJohn

Agree unfortunately seems like a one way door.

Conservatives like to say that Reagan’s 12% unemployment was due to Carter – three years into Reagan’s first term.
Conservatives like to take credit for Clinton’s good economy because of the tax programs from Reagan and Bush – eight years after they were out of office.

However Obama has been president less 2 years and conservatives like to try to place all of the blame for the economy and Bush’s national debt on him. They also like to blame him for the bailout programs, spying on citizens and all of the other grabs for presidential power, that were started under Bush.

Guess I would just like to see a little more consistency and less hypocrisy.

      • Yankee Will

O.K., how about this. Most of what is messed up in our economy today started with the Dempcrat controlled congress in Bush’s last term in office. They are the ones that told banks to give out the home loans to people who had no business getting them, because they could no-way-in-hell afford to pay them back. But if the banks said no, they risked the wrath of Barney Frank and Co. This is what started the snow-ball rolling. And Bush should have tried harder to stop the madness.
And who was also a member of congress at the time? Obama.
        Come on people…

Yankee Will do some research on Bush’s Ownership Society – Bush pushed banks for those risky loans long before 2006 to make his vision work.

What started it all was Clinton signing legislation handed to him by the Republican majority to repeal Glass-Stiegel in 1999

Bush came to office determined to take these trends even further, to deliver Social Security accounts to Wall Street and target minority communities–traditionally out of the Republican Party’s reach–for easy homeownership. “Under 50 percent of African Americans and Hispanic Americans own a home,” Bush observed in 2002. “That’s just too few.” He called on Fannie Mae and the private sector “to unlock millions of dollars, to make it available for the purchase of a home”–an important reminder that subprime lenders were taking their cue straight from the top.

      • JeffH

It seems they all have a similar agenda, just a different approach in their delivery.

Chaos Factor, your way of thinking, you beleive Bush directed katrina
to hit an destroy part of L.A… Were you there when it hit? Too lazy like the rest of Dems to pick up and move from it’s path? Beleive what you want, it is going down in history that obama and the Dems bankrupted The U.S.

        CF,
How many have died in the middle east since Obummer took over?? How long ago did Obummer repeal the Patriot Act? Oh, he didn’t? In fact, he just extended it!! What is going on now is 100% Obummers!!! Bush is past history!!!

      • JC

Another “Blame Bush” mouthpiece. As bad as he was (or wasn’t)I’m amazed that these morons think that a bad President is some kind of excuse for a (non) President to be 10 times worse.
How freaking nuts do you have to be?

    • kate8

You said it well, Kris. It is clear how this works with the left: go out and talk and act as angry, violent and hateful as possible, make a scene (while the media cameras are rolling), and then point the finger at the right. And repeat it endlessly until you convince even yourselves.

There is just no other way to view this. It’s pure evil.

  • Paul

We also need term limit to all our representatives. They should work for us “We the People” not for them self and their cronies.
It should not be a job for life.

    • Save America Susie

I agree with you Paul….Until Congress & the President get on board with this HC Bill equally applying to them as well as us (not that I wanted it in the first place), and get down from their ROYAL THRONES, people will be upset. If someone is not upset by this, they are not paying attention to what is going on. They should NOT be above any law. But that is what they have done! Made themselves above the law. Term limits would bring them back down to Earth. That and stopping the endless retirement wealth check. Getting it just because they serve one term doesn’t make sense. They are neither gods nor Royalty! They are servants of the people! Remember “All men are created EQUAL”? Whatever happen to that one, I wonder?

    From: James Graham

THE HEART OF OUR PROBLEMS IS OUR POLITICANS ARE MONEY HUNGRY !!!!

As a widow of a military retiree, who stood with her husband for over 20 years while he served this country (which was the greatest in the world until this Congress and President took over), I have to say I agree. Shirley

As a retired military man that have given over twenty-seven years of my life to my country, I truly feel that what this
Country needs most is a new amendment to the Constitution . I am recommending that we add the 28th amendment to the Constitution of the UNITED STATES.

For too long we have been too complacent about the workings of Congress. Many citizens had no idea that Congress members could retire with the same pay after only one term, that they didn’t pay into Social Security, that they specifically exempted themselves from many of the laws they have passed (such as being exempt from any fear of prosecution for sexual harassment) while ordinary citizens must live under those laws. The latest is to exempt themselves from the Healthcare Reform that is being considered…in all of its forms. Somehow, that doesn’t seem logical. We do not have an elite that is above the law. I truly don’t care if they are Democrat, Republican, Independent or whatever. The self-serving must stop.

This is a good way to do that. It is an idea whose time has come.

Proposed 28th Amendment to the United States Constitution:

“Congress shall make no law that applies to the citizens of the United States that does not apply equally to the Congressman, Senators, Representatives and the President together with his/her staff; and, Congress shall make no law that applies to the Congressman, Senators, Representatives, and the President together with his/her staff that does not apply equally to the citizens of the United States”.

This 28th amendment to the Constitution of the UNITED STATES Will apply to all passed, present and future
Presidents an their staffs , Congressman, Senators an Representatives.
Just think of all the money this would save the tax payers!!!!!

I think the Senators, Representatives or Congressman that comes out strongly for this will be our next President.

HTCM USN Retired James A. Graham E-Mail address is ( jagraham@charter.net ) Please forward !!!!!!!

    • VMCox

Mr. Graham: You might want to edit your perpetual post. You state the Healthcare bill that is being considered exempts congress. The Healthcare bill passed and is in effect. The congress is not exempt from it’s coverage. (see page 158) In fact they are required to participate in the exchanges and will lose the coverage now provided through the Fed. Employees Health Plan. Posting and sending the same email everyday, shows your total lack of knowledge on the subject. I’m a 26 year military spouse, but I don’t understand why you think that gives you cover or credibility.

The day ultraliberal progressives are on speaking terms with accuracy, fairness, knowledge, ethics and/or adult responsibility is the day I’ll consider becoming a Democrat. Of course, this isn’t likely, as that will also be the day when hell becomes this world’s most popular ski resort.
Some of the more peculiar people on this website sure know how to whiz and moan about perceived hate in everyone else, but they NEVER see it in themselves (no mirrors in your glass houses?).
Ultraliberal progressives, if anyone ever found a reason to love, worship and adore HYPOCRISY on a daily basis, it’s YOU.

In addition, get a library card and read a few books other than those written by Beck, Palin and their ilk.

      American Liberal,

Have you heard? General Motors is making a comeback. They are five years ahead of schedule paying their loan.

      • JC

And the Federal Government is the major shareholder anyway.
Boycott Government Motors Corp. Boycott fascism.

      • JeffH

61% I believe and Canada also has a share of the pie. The price of the peoples bailout.

      • Claire

JeffH–Regardless of what anyone thinks, I will support GM and Ford I will be happy if GM makes a comeback, union or no union. Besides, I like Chevys. But I still want a Hummer.

      • JeffH

I’ve always driven Chevys and drive a GMC Yukon now. They’ve always been my favorite. My first car was a 55 Chevy and my first “new” car was a 70 Camaro.

      • Claire

JeffH– Ahh, Chevys. My husband had a silver grey ’59 Chevy Impala when we started dating. Sooo many drag races! Great fun. Flying down the road, geez thank God we didn’t get killed. No one could touch him. He had the fastest “muscle” car. I still have my ’69 Camaro. I’m going to have to give it to my son. He loves the Chevys too.

      • JC

Sold My Chevy Silverado, Bought an F150. In fact this is my third brand new F150 in 6 years. I support Ford for being responsible.

      • JeffH

Claire, I’m jealous…69 Camaro…I still kick myself for not buying a 69 Camaro Z28 instead of the 70.

      • Claire

JeffH–The ’69 is a beauty. Cortez silver grey with black vinyl hardtop. It is a 350 4-barrel Rally Sport with hideaway headlights. All black leather interior. Bought it new for $3600. It has 33,439 miles on it. It is hard to keep my hands off of it. I drive it only during spring, summer and fall when the weather is nice. It is amazing to pull up at a stoplight and sometimes the person next to me wants to give it a go! I have to admit, it will haul. I also have to admit the silly part of me wants to “take them on.” Isn’t that terrible! Old enough to know better too young to resist!!! lol

      • Claire

JC– ’68 Camaro SS ragtop?!! Wonderful!!!

Claire, I’ve had it since 1979. It’s in almost mint condition too. :)

      • Claire

JC—Great!! What color? We love ours. Some friends of ours has a “hugger orange” ’69 ragtop. He works on his cars all the time. Oh, do you like the new Camaros?

      • JC

English Racing Green with a white bumble stripe around the nose and a black top. Black Leather interior (custom) ;)
I like to drive around with the top down playing the Beach Boys. lol

      • Claire

JC–You said “genuinely American” doesn’t that have a great sound!!!
Banging out kids–I agree with you on that wholeheartedly, these people do not care how these little kids will end up. Tragic, appalling situation. I’ve ranted on other posts that the government sterilized Native American Women back in the 50s, 60s and early 70s. Spay and neuter- bluntly speaking. Gosh that sounds awful, but hey… it is the little kids that suffer for this atrocity.

      • Claire

JC—Whoa– great color! I’ve never had a ragtop. Kinda always wanted one though. Your Camaro sounds neat. Aren’t we lucky!!!!

      • JC

Thanks Claire. But I like to think it’s the result of a lot of hard work (on both our parts) coupled with a love of something genuinely American.
You don’t get to play with toys like these by making a career of banging out kids to collect more welfare. ;)
        You get there with drive!

Coal miner, so how many secondary loans did GM have to float so they could do it? GM has a vested interest in looking good at all costs. Their union connection demands it. Obummer demands it. Obummer’s robots expect it.
We’ll see what happens. Until I know that GM did it RIGHT, I have no reason to believe the braindead media prostitutes who are are protecting Obummer’s regime 24/7.
BTW, I will NEVER buy any vehicles made in Detroit other than Ford. I know how to be patriotic. SCREW the other two vehicle makers.

A Republican senator is questioning General Motors’ claim that it has repaid its taxpayer-funded loans in full.

Sen. Chuck Grassley is asking Treasury Secretary Tim Geithner to justify those claims. According to the Iowa Republican, GM has repaid its TARP (taxpayer-funded bailout) loans using other TARP funds.

The automaker – which is 61 percent owned by the U.S. and 12 percent owned by Canada — announced on Wednesday that it has fully repaid the $6.7-billion in loans it received from the U.S. and Canadian governments.

“GM is able to repay the taxpayers in full, with interest, ahead of schedule, because more customers are buying vehicles like the Chevrolet Malibu and Buick LaCrosse we build here in Fairfax,” said GM Chairman Ed Whitacre during a visit to an auto plant in Fairfax, Kansas on Wednesday.

But as the Associated Press reported, GM received a total of $52 billion from the U.S. government and $9.5 billion from the Canadian and Ontario governments as part of its bankruptcy reorganization. The U.S. considered $6.7 billion of the $52 billion as a loan.

In fact, GM still owes $45.3 billion to the U.S. and $8.1 billion to Canada, money it received in exchange for shares in the company. GM said it hopes to repay those amounts with an eventual public stock offering, the AP reported.

“It looks like [GM’s] announcement is really just an elaborate TARP money shuffle,” Grassley said in an April 22 letter to Treasury Secretary Geithner. “The repayment dollars haven’t come from GM selling cars but, instead, from a TARP account at the Treasury Department.”

        1. “Have you ever noticed how all composite pictures of wanted criminals resemble Jesse Jackson?”
        2. “Right. So you go into Darfur and you go into South Africa, you get rid of the white government there. You put sanctions on them. You stand behind Nelson Mandela — who was bankrolled by communists for a time, had the support of certain communist leaders. You go to Ethiopia. You do the same thing.”
        3. “Look, let me put it to you this way: the NFL all too often looks like a game between the Bloods and the Crips without any weapons. There, I said it.”
        4. “The NAACP should have riot rehearsal. They should get a liquor store and practice robberies.”
        5. “They’re 12 percent of the population. Who the hell cares?”
        6. [To an African American female caller]: “Take that bone out of your nose and call me back.”
7.” I think the media has been very desirous that a black quarterback do well. They’re interested in black coaches and black quarterbacks doing well. I think there’s a little hope invested in McNabb and he got a lot of credit for the performance of his team that he really didn’t deserve.”
        8. Limbaugh’s many attacks on Obama.
Limbaugh has called Obama a ‘halfrican American’ has said that Obama was not Black but Arab because Kenya is an Arab region, even though Arabs are less than one percent of Kenya. Since mainstream America has become more accepting of African-Americans, Limbaugh has decided to play against its new racial fears, Arabs and Muslims. Despite the fact Obama graduated magna cum laude from Harvard Law school, Limbaugh has called him an ‘affirmative action candidate.’ Limbaugh even has repeatedly played a song on his radio show ‘Barack the Magic Negro’ using an antiquated Jim Crow era term for Black a man who many Americans are supporting for president. Way to go Rush.

This guy is, I believe, a racist.” –on President Obama, sparking an advertiser exodus from his FOX News show, July 28, 2009 (Source)

        2. “I’m thinking about killing Michael Moore, and I’m wondering if I could kill him myself, or if I would need to hire somebody to do it. … No, I think I could. I think he could be looking me in the eye, you know, and I could just be choking the life out. Is this wrong? I stopped wearing my What Would Jesus — band — Do, and I’ve lost all sense of right and wrong now. I used to be able to say, ‘Yeah, I’d kill Michael Moore,’ and then I’d see the little band: What Would Jesus Do? And then I’d realize, ‘Oh, you wouldn’t kill Michael Moore. You have the right to anything. All of those things are antithetical to a healthy, stable, traditional family and that’s sort of where we are in today’s world, unfortunately. “Chelsea is a Clinton. She bears the taint; and though not prosecutable in law, in custom and nature the taint cannot be ignored. All the great despotisms of the past – I’m not arguing for despotism as a principle, but they sure knew how to deal with potential trouble – recognized that the families of objectionable citizens were a continuing threat. In Stalin’s penal code it was a crime to be the wife or child of an ‘enemy of the people.’ The Nazis used the same principle, which they called Sippenhaft, ‘clan liability.’ In Imperial China, enemies of the state were punished ‘to the ninth degree’: that is, everyone in the offender’s own generation would be killed and everyone related via four generations up, to the great-great-grandparents, and four generations down, to the great-great-grandchildren, would also be killed.”

      • kate8

BBJ, I ask again, show me something hateful. I’m familiar with most of these quotes, and I can hardly call the truth “hate speech”. Some of these are out of context, and are in response to verbal abuse on the other end.

Really, is this the best you can do? Because for every one of these, I can find 10 that liberals said that are outright lies or call for violence and even murder. Now that’s hate speech.

You people are laughable. You just keep beating the same tired drum, and we’re just not biting anymore.

      • kate8

BBJ, what? Obviously you spend a great deal of your time compiling lists of things conservatives say in order to twist them and try to use against them at some point.

If your position had any validity you’d be able to futher it on its own merit, instead of trying to find ways to damage those with whom you disagree.

        Pathetic.

      • http://?? Joe H.

        kate8,
quit wasting your time, he’s obviously another eyes in that he claims to have been a republican when in truth he has been a dyed in the wool libbie for the entirety of his miserable exhistance!!!

      • http://?? Joe H.

        kate8,
        with out checking my lists,
P-lousey” Them? oh we just call them astro-turf”
P-lousey again ” if they have served and are trained to use a firearm then they are possible terrorists!”
Ms Clintoon, If they disagree with this administration then they are haters and racists” this after she complained about people calling her on statements during the Bush admin!!
        Obummer” Bring it on!”
Obummer again,”if they want a fight then they will get one!”
Now these statements weren’t made by radio hosts, they were made by representatives of the government of the United States of America!!!! There’s a big difference!!!!

      • BigBadJohn

So you do not consider these hateful or inflammatory?
        Explains a lot!!!!!

I challenge you to find a quote from a democratic congressman that endorsed assassinating Bush!

        6. [To an African American female caller]: “Take that bone out of your nose and call me back.”

        10. “Obama’s entire economic program is reparations/”

. “I’m thinking about killing Michael Moore, and I’m wondering if I could kill him myself, or if I would need to hire somebody to do it. …

        3. “When I see a 9/11 victim family on television, or whatever, I’m just like, ‘Oh shut up’ I’m so sick of them because they’re always complaining.” –”The Glenn Beck Program,” Sept. 9, 2005 (Source)

        9. “You have the artwork of Mussolini there, here in New York at Rockefeller Plaza.” –analyzing the artwork decorating Rockefeller Plaza, which he said contained a hammer and sickle, Glenn Beck show on FOX News Channel, Sept. 2, 2009 (Source)

“I tell people don’t kill all the liberals. Leave enough so we can have two on every campus – living fossils – so we will never forget what these people stood for.”

        - Rush Limbaugh, Denver Post, 12-29-95

“Get rid of the guy. Impeach him, censure him, assassinate him.”

        - Rep. James Hansen (R-UT), talking about President Clinton, as reported by journalist Steve Miner of KSUB radio who overheard his conversation, 11-01-98

      • Claire

JoeH– You know as well as I do that both parties are/can be hateful. I have heard it myself from BOTH parties. AND I am NOT a liar. There are politicians from both parties that have despicable mouths.

      • http://?? Joe H.

        Claire,
Where did I say anyone lied??? BBJ is trying to “quote” radio personalities and calling it hate speech. All I did was show him a few of them from government reps and THAT is ten times worse!!!!

  • angel-wanna-be

Well, I wonder if Homeland Security has another Lexicon ready to go to publication about us crazy RIGHT WING EXTREMISTS? Clinton seems to think, that all the dissent will allegedly lead to violence. Almost Sounds as if, ANY violence that does break out, the tea partiers and regular Americans, who are sick of being raped by the Government, are going get the blame for it. Washington is good at masterminding ALL language, sadly some of the sheep, just ain’t getting it!__I’ve never seen a more thin skinned Administration, than this one! They absolutely cannot take ANY opposition!__And if they can’t beat us down into submission with words for it, they’ll regulate free speech with the internet police(correct me if I’m wrong)and tax us to death, just like they’re doing. If they keep the people poor and lacking confidence, Government thinks the people can’t/won’t fight back. WE THE PEOPLE CANNOT FALL FOR THIS CRAP!__We need to stay peaceful and let the Libs drown in there own fluid of lies!

New DHS Domestic Terrorism Report Targets Millions of Americans

      Thursday, 16 April 2009 04:15
On April 7, when President Barack Obama was winding up an overseas tour that included bowing to Saudi King Abdullah and expressing mea culpas for America’s past sins, his Department of Homeland Security (DHS) was unleashing the dogs of war against his political opposition at home: Americans alarmed by his radical policies on gun control, abortion, illegal aliens, nationalizing the economy, and more. A secret 10-page DHS document sent to law-enforcement agencies nationwide is stirring up a political firestorm. Entitled “Rightwing Extremism: Current Economic and Political Climate Fueling Resurgence in Radicalization and Recruitment,” the DHS report (pdf), dated April 7, sloppily (or cleverly and maliciously) demonizes millions of law-abiding Americans, conflating them with violent, criminal groups such as Neo-Nazis and “white supremacists” simply because they adhere to political beliefs at variance with those of the administration.

The report employs the word “rightwing” 50 times, and in nearly every instance (47 times) it is in the context of “rightwing extremism,” “rightwing extremist,” “rightwing terrorist,” or “rightwing terrorist and extremist.” Tellingly, the report doesn’t bother to define any of these politically charged terms, a major dereliction of due diligence in such an important matter. It is similarly shoddy in using terms favored by left-wing extremists to describe their opponents on the right, such as “antigovernment,” “hate-oriented,” “paranoid,” “dangerous,” and “violent.”

Naïve Napolitano: DHS Underestimates Muslim Resistance to Countering Domestic Terrorism
February 19, 2010 – by Richard Pollock On Wednesday, Pajamas Media reported that U.S. Homeland Security Secretary Janet Napolitano and her senior staff privately met in Washington, D.C., to begin a controversial information sharing program with Muslim organizations — including three directly linked with the extremist entity the Muslim Brotherhood.

      • JC

So they’re putting “Americans” on watch lists for being genuine “Americans”. Now THAT’S reminiscent of Hitler’s Gestapo for sure.

  • American Liberal

Rightwing hate groups are a threat to this country… Racism is on the rise …I believe that ” big government” excuse is just that” an excuse to hate”..example?.. Look at the new Law in Arizona these rightwingers are in love with.. The new law in Arizona is exactly what they called “tyranny” and ” socialism… It’s bigger government with profiling based on Race… More law enforcement and it’s going to take taxes to pay for it… If our president were a white republican these rightys would call his spending nessessary to stimulate the economy…. If president Obama looked like Ronald Reagan and was a republican these rightwing hate groups would love him….so bigger government and taxes are ok with you rightys as long as it’s oppression of anyone of color or what you concider leftist… This articals author used Islamic groups quote on radical groups just to rile you up… You don’t see that?..

    • EltonJ

Uhm, no. Big Government is a no-no no matter what the form. The government wasn’t designed to be big, it was designed to be limited. It isn’t about race, it’s about the size of Government. The media and government is playing the race card because they can.

FDR almost made himself a Dictator, or did you forget?

    • Cribster

Obama’s mission is to create and expand divisions between races and classes. He is a community aggitator like Al Sharpton and Jesse Jackson and let’s not forget his spiritual mentor of 20 years, reverend Wright. They are all of the same ilk.

Obama has taken the divisive tactics from the local scale to a national scale. You can see it in how the nation has become more polarized than ever before. There is a palpable belligerence in the black community since the Messiah was elected.

      • Save America Susie

Yes, I noticed many voted for BO because they saw him as a “Uniter”! But he has proved to be the opposite. We are certainly polarized now!

      • BigBadJohn

And you thinks statements like “you are either with us or against us” united the country??????

The country started this major polarization under Clinton. When the republicans could not pin anything on him, they still would not drop investigations, when they STILL could not pin anything on him, the name calling started – Slick Willy…..
They finally pinned him on a personal issue.

Ever since then a.) republicans think that kind of tactic works, so pursue it every chance they can. b.) democrats would like a little payback but held back big time against Bush because of 9/11.

      • independant thinker

Clinton was called slick Willie long before the Republicans started on him.

      • Ted Crawford

Couldn’t pin anything on him??? The man was IMPEACHED for goodness sakes! Where have you been??

      • BigBadJohn

Ted impeached after six years and 300 million of you tax dollars trying to pin something on him.

And the only thing that came of if “I did not have sex with that woman”

      • Claire

BigBadJohn– You know what sticks in my mind–the fact slick willie was on national TV and lied to all of us. This guy sure has the morals of an alley cat and no conscience. He is one guy I can’t have any use for.

      • Robin from Arcadia, IN

Cribster… Good post… All of these racist comments are crazy! Barry is a mulatto… He is no more black/Muslim than he is white. Race has nothing to do with what is happening to our country.

      • JeffH

Obama is a disciple of the Marxist teaching radical Saul Alinsky and you’ll always see his brand, Rules for Radicals, on the leftist liberal’s comments.
To understand what these people say is to understand why they say it…in other word…If one understands where they get their ideas from and one will understand why they talk their jibberish.

“Radicals must be resilient, adaptable to shifting political circumstances, and sensitive enough to the process of action and reaction to avoid being trapped by their own tactics and forced to travel a road not of their choosing.” p.6

“A Marxist begins with his prime truth that all evils are caused by the exploitation of the proletariat by the capitalists. From this he logically proceeds to the revolution to end capitalism, then into the third stage of reorganization into a new social order of the dictatorship of the proletariat, and finally the last stage — the political paradise of communism.” p.10

“An organizer working in and for an open society is in an ideological dilemma to begin with, he does not have a fixed truth — truth to him is relative and changing; everything to him is relative and changing…. To the extent that he is free from the shackles of dogma, he can respond to the realities of the widely different situations….”

Obama was and aways will be an “ORGANIZER”! That is all he knows, nothing else!

“To the organizer, imagination… is the dynamism that starts and sustains him in his whole life of action as an organizer. It ignites and feeds the force that drives him to organize for change….
“The organizer knows that the real action is in the reaction of the opposition. To realistically appraise and anticipate the probable reactions of the enemy, he must be able to identify with them, too, in his imagination, and foresee their reactions to his actions….
“The organizers searching with a free and open mind void of certainty, hating dogma, finds laughter not just a way to maintain his sanity but also a key to understanding life.”pp.74-75

“…the organizer must be able to split himself into two parts — one part in the arena of action where he polarizes the issue to 100 to nothing, and helps to lead his forces into conflict, while the other part knows that when the time comes for negotiations that it really is only a 10 percent difference.”
“One of the factors that changes what you can and can’t communicate is relationships. There are sensitive areas that one does not touch until there is a strong personal relationship based on common involvements. Otherwise the other party turns off and literally does not hear….

“Tactics are those conscious deliberate acts by which human beings live with each other and deal with the world around them. … Here our concern is with the tactic of taking; how the Have-Nots can take power away from the Haves.”

Obama’s Radical-Left Ties Broad And Deep
National Review Online: Senator Approves Of The Political-Theological Outlooks Of Michael Pfleger and Jeremiah Wright

Having now left Trinity United Church of Christ, can Barack Obama escape responsibility for his decades-long ties to Michael Pfleger and Jeremiah Wright? No, he cannot. Obama’s connections to the radical-left politics espoused by Pfleger and Wright are broad and deep. The real reason Obama bound himself to Wright and Pfleger in the first place is that he largely approved of their political-theological outlooks.

    • Airangel

Hmmm…let me play devil’s advocate here Am Lib…

Not only is MSNBC’s and libera leftist’s criticism of conservative activists unbalanced and misguided, it is hypocritical at best!

Think back to the coverage of Code Pink and the antiwar protests of the Bush administration. None of it’s commentators fretted over whether the protesters would lead to a resurgence of left-wing violence such as that practiced by the Weather Underground, the Blank Panthers, or the Symbionese Liberation Army. That would have been totally inappropriate — but no more so than what it’s eagerly doing now with conservative protesters.

If MSNBC and others are worried about internal unrest, then it should examine its own practices, which amount to little more than fear-mongering and political posturing. And that won’t make us any safer.

    • JeffH

Once again using the tactics of Alinsky…

“Whenever possible, go outside the expertise of the enemy. Look for ways to increase insecurity, anxiety and uncertainty. (This happens all the time. Watch how many organizations under attack are blind-sided by seemingly irrelevant arguments that they are then forced to address.)

      • eyeswideopen

Jeff, you mean like Glenn Beck calling Cindy Stahan a prostitue for protesting against the war? But it is ok, for the tea partiers, to protest against the government for healthcare and they aren’t prostitutes? Double standard for the radical righties. That women had every right to protest, she had just lost a son, to a senseless war.

      • JeffH

        Agitate + Aggravate + Educate + Organize

    • James

The real problem is ‘that’s all YOU see’…and it is the sum of your own beliefs. You are projecting, not thinking.

    s c,

See who’s adding “jet fuel” to the fire.

Clinton Chides ‘Right-Wing Media,’ Warns Government ‘Demonization’ Fuels Threats

Former President Clinton on Sunday broadened his warning that Tea Party protesters could feed violence reminiscent of the Oklahoma City bombing, suggesting “right-wing media” and the blogosphere could be culpable for any future politically fueled extremism as well.

    • s c

I know, JeffH. Our would-be controllers are in panic mode. They have the most to lose by being exposed for the frauds, liars and two-legged vermin they really are. Let them howl.
Some day, they will have to admit that wolves, coyotes and drunks do it better.

      • JeffH

s c, I find it almost amusing, despite the seriousnous of the current situation, that the left, Dems, Obama, liberals are having a difficult time with all of the exposing taking place.
Cry wolf enough and nobody listens. They’re huddling, impatiently, trying to come up with a strategy to undermine the ridicule and outing that’s taking place. They’ll be back. Just like cockroaches, they always come back.

      • JeffH

I have also found it amusing how the Tea Party became a bunch of Tim McVeigh wannabes so close to the anniversary of the Oklahoma bombimg.
It seems someone is trying to play Johnny Appleseed. It ain’t gonna work. Oh, before the libbies start with the Hannity/McVeigh project again, that won’t work either.

      • American liberal

And as our economy continues to improve you’ll see the desperation on the right increase …. These righwingers do not want this economy to improve… They want America to fail so they can blame president Obama…

      • Doc Sarvis

        Correct. Just ask Rush Limbaugh.

      • ron

That’s what amazes me…they want the president to fail. THink about that for a moment. I didn’t like bush or agree with anything his admin did but the LAST thing i wanted was him to fail. It’s our frickin country for gods sake and peoples welfare is the issue! When you make a statement like that it shows that you could care less about people. I’ve never understood the narcism of the right wing leaders (i get it but it has no place in the world if you look at things in a broader sense) and their ability to get people to continually vote against their own self interests. Amazing. Its sort of like playing a sport and your teammates undermine your effort so the team will fail so they can prove your point.

      • Kevin

I don’t know what’s so hard to understand in this, unless you don’t want to understand because it undermines your agenda. They want Obama’s policies to fail, not America. Inn fact, that’s the whole point – if Obama’s policies fail, America survives!

      • JeffH

“Whenever possible, go outside the expertise of the enemy. Look for ways to increase insecurity, anxiety and uncertainty. (This happens all the time. Watch how many organizations under attack are blind-sided by seemingly irrelevant arguments that they are then forced to address.)

      • marvin

am lib you are a frigen idiot if you think that a true american wants this country to fail because we don,t agree with the king obama and you ,we don,t want the country to fall unlike you we don,t cut off our noes to spite are face obama is not king of this country he is the president and his word is not law and i/we have a god give right to not agree ,even you as far left as you are and the stuped thing you say still has that right

      • Grey Wolf

Lib: There is no economy left in this country for a recovery. It’s just an illusion. I’ve spent over 40 years of my life studying economics & I can tell you it’s only 2-3 years away from total implosion! You’ll sink with the ship, too. Be prepared & don’t say I didn’t warn you.

      • kate8

Well, AL, as expected, another twist of the truth by the left spin machine.

What Rush said, and I wholly agree, is that we want Obama to fail in
his “fundamentally changing America” to some fascistic dictatorship, in order to SAVE America.

You people have absolutely no affinity for truth.

      • James

I just gotta’ get me a pair of those rose colored glasses. Will they make Monopoly money look like the real stuff? Or will they make the real stuff resemble Monoply money?

      • eyeswideopen

Kevin, forgive me, but if his policies fail, we fail. You obviously don’t grasp the fact that this Nation was on the cliff, due to the immoral business practices of Wall Street and the absoutely wrong decisions made by the previous admin. Hard to trust your groupies, who made billions on the wars and hijacked our Constitution to suit their needs. The greedy just took it to the max and you should remember if this country fails, the money everyone is hoarding will become worthless. So when you pray to God for Obama to fail, you are praying against this country and should be considered a traitor.

      • Claire

Rush Limbaugh? Egads, I listened to him on my way home at lunchtime this week. He sounds positively possessed. In fact, I am beginning to think he is going off his rocker. This guy has a problem.

      • kate8

From what I’ve been able to gather, FEMA and all law enforcement (including foreign and domestic military troops) have been gearing up for riot control. Big on the acoustic weapons.

Now, why would one suppose that is?

      • James

Oh, all that stuff is going to be moved down to the border with mexico to keep the illegals out OR the libs are going to shoot another B movie.

      • eyeswideopen

kate8, does the word Katrina mean anything to you? They are predicting a horrible hurricane season and here in America, unlike Hatii we riot, when we don’t have what we want. I was in Homestead during Andrew and had to shoot to protect what was left of my home. Sure was glad when the government rolled into town. Guess they occasionally serve a purpose. They did stop the fighting and organized the food lines to hand out supplies. So, maybe for once we will be prepared. But if you are looking for sinster purposes, maybe they will be used for the Arizona roundup.

      • http://?? Joe H.

        googleeyes,
YOU had to SHOOT???? YOU??? Does anyone else here find this too hard to believe?? etes who preaches against handguns so much SHOOTING at another person??? How hypocritical of you google!!!

    • Pat R

Get used to Bill Clinton and his “illustrious” remarks! He is just getting started again. It is his intent to put Hillary in the White House next. Please don’t fall for his tricks; He and Hillary are members of the Democratic Socialists Assn. I feel sure that they both know of Obama’s birth status (illegal) and should be charged for Treason with so many others.

  • s c

What we are witnessing is the outrage of our government Nero(s). This paranoid mentality can never tolerate dissent. It was so in biblical times, it was so in Nero’s time, it was so in the early part of the 18th century in the US, and so it is with this REGIME.
We can thank the wacko ‘in charge’ of the Iranian government. He called Obummer’s administration a REGIME. He’s right.
Our government has much to hide. It is primed to come apart at the seams. Let the government try to justify its rage. Most likely, it will try anything and everything it can to blame its many faults on the American people. King George tried to do it and failed and lost his prize. Will this current ‘King’ be any different?

    • eyeswideopen

s c speaking out against things you don’t like is always wanted, however using trigger words to incite the less intelligent, to take action, is not what this country is about. WHen you have a Congressman/woman who calls the present government, “gangster government”, that is ridiculous and unless you have forgotten, you are the government. You are looking forward to this country coming apart at the seams, becareful what you wish for, as your guys might not get the power and then what???

      • s c

Since you are determined to have and keep both feet in your mouth at the same time, I’ll make a short comment, orbs. I am NOT trying to INCITE YOU to do anything. I’m not trying to incite ANYONE to do anything.
Now, re-read your comment, and try to understand what I said. With a little luck, you might be able to grasp the huge difference between what YOU said and what I mean.
Kindly patronize someone else. You have much to learn, and little time left to learn it.

You’ll have to be able to READ it (I realize that’s not an ultraliberal progressive specialty, and Queen Nancy Pelosi needs to be taken to task for being such a pathetic role model for you).
Almost every time you hardcore dingbats open your flapping mouths, you PROVE that public education is an utter FAILURE. When it comes to the world of ideas, it’s the same thing. Hate, lies, deception, useful idiocy, manipulation, incompetence and ego are your gods. You deserve them. We don’t.

I’m so glad I made your day.

      • JC

Well at least one Congressman has the stones to tell it like it is.
And using trigger words to incite the less intelligent is the corner stone of the progressive movement, isn’t it?

      • kate8

JC, that was brilliant. Made my day.

      • Hugh Jordan

Michelle Bachmann is the type of “thinker” that gives conservatives a bad name. She is as patriotic as Benedict Arnold. She’ll pander to whomever she thinks will give her a vote and the more she stirs things up with her vituperous rhetoric the more passionate her nut-job supporters become.

Can’t we find conservatives with 3-digit IQs that really want to offer RATIONAL leadership to solve our country’s problems?

      • Claire

Hugh Jordan–I have to agree with you on this. Also, I have friends in Minnesota (Republicans) and they do not like her. They want her out of office. They call her “Tweedle Dum.” I won’t call her a name, I just don’t care for her. Heck, some of these women on this site would be a better choice for the Presidency or VP than Bachman.

EYES, If the shoe fits you must state it as so.

Thus as we do have a “Gangster Government” one must call it what it is. Don’t candy coat the facts with sugar, its still a crap buger.

      • Yankee Will

        He, he, he…hammer Time!

      • eyeswideopen

OMG, Time, you are right, you are part of the government and you are a gangster. Therefore we have a gangster government made up of RWA’s. Problem with you all buying into the same talking points and radical theories is that if the situation/topic isn’t abortion, guns, or immigrants, you all are lost trying to figure out what to do. The poor Tea Party, can’t come up with a stance on the financial reform bill. They don’t know whether to shit or go blind. WHich way do we go? Which way do we go? I say go ahead and be against the American public, be on the side of WALL STREET GANGSTERS and go down in history as the group who helped put us into another fiscal crisis, which we may not recover from, and then the elitests will be running this country as a totalitarian state. You and your buddies will be serfs. If you think your paltry collection of gold coins will save you, think again, the rich will have their gangsters out in force taking your little stash of gold.

      • James

A ‘trigger word to incite’ or a buzz word to lull, it makes no difference. Us and Them will always contend…we will always either fail or succeed on any specific day, just to end up on the other end of it the following day. As long as we have a strong Constitution the American heritage (which is dimensioned beyond any single one of us) will endure. All of this is mere bar room talk by people retreating from their pain, drowning their sorrows, and gaining courage from their favorite bottle.

      • Allan

So our forefathers, who rebelled against an oppressive government, were less intelligent? They certainly were incited. Political correctness means some incitement is more equal than other incitement, such as calling conservatives stupid, evil, and racist. Clearly, the left doesn’t use trigger words at all. Clearly, the Emperor has no ears.

  • Harold Olsen

It’s always the fault of the right when something like the Oklahoma bombing happens. At least, that’s what the left and the lame brained media claim. It was either last year or the year before on the anniversary of the bombing that a show was run on our local Public Access channel. According to this show, Timothy McVeigh and Terry Nichols had absolutely NOTHING to do with the bombing. Guess who they claim was responsible? You guessed it. Bush and Cheney! I understand that McVeigh even confessed to the bombing, citing Waco as his reason for it, but according to this show, he was coerced into confessing, to cover up Bush and Cheney’s involvement.

    • eyeswideopen

Harold, if you ever watched anything beside Fox, you would have heard in McVeighs own words, 45 hours of him acknowledging and giving facts of how and why he killed all those people. Denial is something that the right wingers are so automatically geared for, it is truly become laughable.

      • JC

Millions upon MILLIONS of Americans are rightfully angry about an illegal President running our nation into the ground and aree letting it be known. And all you can do is point out one criminal moron and try and paint everyone with the same brush. You are truly small minded and completely blind to the truth.
The FACT is, this government is going to go down in history as the single worst blunder in the history of the planet.
They should be tried for treason.

He stated that he was entitled to have 140 wives, 60 Queens and 80 concubines. If you think that an acknowledged pedophile was innocent, then hopefully you don’t have any female children. Violence seemed to run in his family as his sister did kill his mother. Why is it you conservatives want to protect the unborn, but for those innocent children already here, you are just obvious to their needs?

        [BATF preparing for battle, chanting]
We’re the government’s Mafia men, enforcers of the autocracy!
We take great pride in our job, our skills, and our knowledge
Of how best to create murder, mayhem, and carnage.

[BATF surrounds the home of the family, as one agent takes aim at the family pet dogs, and shoots.]

[Gun shots everywhere ring out, the family protects their home and their children, the mighty agents are falling.]

Fall out! All Agents Come back!
        Disengage the Attack!

Let’s quit, for God’s sake. For God’s sake, stop the slaughter! Please!

This isn’t how it was supposed to be! Us, being forced to leave your property!??

That’s fine… for now, we’ll leave you be… but we will be back… you wait and see.

There is one other thing, and you really should take our assurance, someone inside Mt. Carmel better buy
        FIRE INSURANCE!

negotiation transcript of Special Agent Jim Cavanaugh telling Steve Schneider,
“someone in there should buy some fire insurance.”

The days of picking flowers and chasing your friends has suddenly come to an end. Your innocence stripped in one careless moment from strangers with guns who came shooting from the sky. You see the grown ups running everywhere… you see your mom, she’s scared and laying on the floor covering the baby. You are scared too. You overhear a grown up say the men outside shot and killed someone…. its hard to hear, the babies are screaming… all your friends are crying. Their moms are trying to tell them its going to be okay, but you see the fear in their faces and you know that means its NOT ok. Terrified you crawl further over and you hear someone say his name. But you are so young, you don’t understand what it all means…. how can grandpa be dead? You had just kissed him good morning before breakfast. This is a nightmare come to life. You look into your moms eyes and ask… why is this happening??? Why are the strangers killing everyone? Why are they telling everyone we are bad people? What did we do mommy… did we do something wrong… was this my fault? Was it Serenity’s fault? Was it….any… of our faults?

Mommy…….grandpa will never hold me again… will he.
        I’m scared…..

This is where only your memories live now…. eternally…. for see, those men outside, waited 51 days before releasing an all out assault against your home and your family. You were tortured with gas for hours on end.. tanks ripped apart your world, concrete fell on your mother, your friends, the babies, and their moms…and then you were set on fire.

The terrifying part is… this is not a “tale”… this is a true story. The people you see, were very very real.
And they died in a very horrible way.
Wrongly demonized, and unjustly subjected to cruelties beyond comprehension.
Sentenced and executed without trial or jury, the cover-up began to make Americans unaware of the atrocities that were committed right before our eyes on prime time TV.
This church and its families being the test subjects of military and federal and local law enforcement combined, a clear violation of the Posse Comitatus Act.
Violations of this act is punishable by harsh fines and prison terms.
It can be authorized by only one person… the President of the United States. Why was the CIA interested in church members from Texas? CIA is forbidden to meddle in domestic issues. Clear cut violations of the law… yet the fight goes on to seal, “classify” and hide the evidence.

        These people were an example.

We DO NOT torture babies with poisonous gas, to get to their parents!
The BATF, FBI, and our government, acted as judge, jury, executioner and morticians,
BEFORE any proof of guilt was established. Then they bulldozed into the flames, evidence of
THE largest domestic law enforcement tragedy in our countries history!
Is this how we preserve PRECIOUS evidence of a massacre of innocents!?!?!

Someone that breaks the law is a criminal. Someone who murders is a murderer.
Our Constitution guarantees justice for victims… where is the justice for THESE victims?

All surviving church members were found innocent of murder charges, and a jury ruled
they were lawfully defending themselves against an unlawful attack where deadly force
        was being used against them.

The real killers still walk free.

Janet Reno: “The ghost of Waco will be with me all of my life, I will never forget Waco.”

My page is dedicated to the people who died, and their memory… to the survivors who endured horrors I cannot imagine, and to the REAL evidence in this case.
For some reason, no one wants anyone else to hear about it, but gradually… it’s being revealed.
But also important to note, its a memorial to the scars placed on this great nation by corrupt powers that
operate and control what we hear, see and think.
This is dedicated to THOSE people that tear my freedom away day by day and think I don’t notice. I noticed you. Now… watch others notice you too. I hope they all take a pledge to think for themselves, and to seek truth, and not swallow everything you tell us. I refuse to believe everything you say is true. And I refuse to look away anymore.

      • JeffH

“If you think that an acknowledged pedophile was innocent, then hopefully you don’t have any female children.”

Nowhere did anyone mention the innocense of a pedophile and yet there are some that refuse to acknowledge that the government’s illegal “massacre” at Mt.Carmel was justifiable “murder”.

      • JeffH

        Dead…wrong.

If the deaths for these people are ever truly recognized for what they really were… murders, there should be a
national outcry from Americans. In Ruby Ridge, Idaho (my home state) Randy Weaver lost his wife
(who at the time she was shot in the head, was holding her infant daughter) and lost his 14yr old son from federal sniper bullets almost a year before the Waco seige happened. Everyone claimed there was nothing afoul. Our government officials were feeding the press and any one that would listen, with garbage of their innocence, while the whole time covering up their negligence. The Waco case was no different. These were the same people running Ruby Ridge as ran WACO!
(since then, the federal government has been forced to pay Weaver millions of dollars in damages stemming from it’s negligence.)

It’s also the anniversary of Lexington and Concord. That’s when British soldiers moved to seize the gunpowder and arms of voluntary militias, armed citizens defended themselves, firing upon the British in ‘the shot heard ’round the world’.

We live with the paradox that the same constitutional rights that allow us to protest what we consider to be excesses by the government, also protect the rights of those on the left to call us names and paint us as being “extremists”. I just wish the left would stop rewriting history to support whatever agenda is most popular. By doing so, they endanger the very constitutional rights that protect ALL of us.

Mr. peace and love himself, yea the media has an odd way of making everyone look like nut cases, strangly its the media that ends up with eggs – many eggs on their face, as they stir the pot.

Then toss in the iresponcible statments made by Bill Clinton who the media just could not get enough air time with, just like our new special BarryO, and lets not forget his 35 plus marxist czars who all are making well over $375K per year to get your chins ready for you, but why bother making note of that.

Yea – everything is just so cool, its almost like the 1960′s but differant in the way that the Tea Party crews are “peacefull” not unlike Dr. King.
        Yet – the real radicals of the 1960′s would have had to bomb something and kill people to make a point, {oh I forgot they are all on BarryO Czar staff now.}

But watch out for those really crazy TAX Payers who want a responsible government that stops spending money of CRAZY things, like cash for Clunkers, or Feed to snails, Don’t bite sharks, or
save the rocks from be hard up.

Or heven forbid they stop fraud in such areas as medOcade, oh that may require some work and them tin foil thinking caps.
How dumb of me to think elected officials might do some real work. Well its back to their circle jerking so they look like they did something, then be sure to watch MSNBC and CNN and NBC and CBC, ABC, MSN to see the reports on how that all worked out later today at 6PM, now don’t be late.

      • eyeswideopen

Time, while your holy network, Fox, only covered the protestors, who by the way were protesting on Government park areas, did they honor those who died? MSNBC, did have a 2 hour program on the bombing and we got to hear the radical Timothy McVeigh spin his tale.

That implies I don’t watch Fox, or MSNBC, I read the quotes that Politicians make, I look on line to find if they did indeed say the quotes I read.
Odd – its 100% spot on every time, so who cares what you saw on TV.

By the way thats all Mr. Glen Beck does, he takes the quotes that your special leaders make then Mr. Glen Beck shows such clips.
Thus he displays the TRUTH. Deal with it.

Its obvious that the nut case you noted was unstable, not unlike your self as per your post, that are 99% of the time hate filled nasty Vitirol and display a disgruntled person.
But why let facts cloud the issue.

I pray that someday you do get your eyes open wide, it will shock the crap out of you how your have been taken.
But that would first require that you open your heart, then – open your mind, and then good things happen.

You didn’t take a moment of silence? I’m shocked! Do you need the government to tell you when to take a moment of silence?

If someone is weak minded enough to allow rhetoric to lead them to do some violent act, if one thing didn’t cause it something else would have. There is such thing as self accountability. am lib is right. 95% of Americans did get a tax decrease. Changing your exemptions on your paycheck makes less or more come out of your check but you still owe the same at the end of the year. This was a legitimate decrease of your total taxes. Bush’s tak cuts only helped the top brackets and it’s part of what lead to this recession and the deficit you right wingers are all worked up about now that there’s a black democrat in the white house.

Thanks to republicans the two percent of highest wage earners did not have their taxes raised, and due to republican gains are investing that money. That creates jobs. The lies come in by labeling those people as rich. The truly rich people are NOT wage earners, and as such do not pay taxes. Many in government, especially on the Democratic side, fall in that category. The lie is pretending that the tax is on the rich. The tax on the “rich” is just on those being paid salaries. The really rich people have it worked out where they do not pay income tax. If Obama truly taxed the rich, we wouldn’t have a deficit. Mumbo jumbo from the clueless lemmings on the left. … and no right wing without selfishness masked as independence and Taliban-like religious conservatism to maintain sad literal interpretations of Biblical myths. Any thinking person knows that there is little conflict between science and the Bible unless one clings to literal lunacy like the kind of creationism perpetuated by that crazy museum in Kentucky that shows animatronic dinosaurs and cave children playing together 5,000 years ago (all science and the measurement of the speed of light proves that the universe is older than that. Why would God measure time in an infinite universe by the rotation of one small planet in a small galaxy among billions?)

… And the Lord said: “Let there be light.”

Hello… that is the Big Bang.

Yes indeed, God created all life on Earth, and evolution was the means by which the Supreme Being did it.

Sometimes such excuses actually work. Here in Seattle back in the eighties some guy was arrested for a series of muggings. In court, his defense was that it was the fault of his victims that he robbed them. He stated that, if his victims did not have anything for him to steal from them then he would not have robbed them. The judge bought the defense and set him free, bypassing the jury.

I’m hearing the same story…GM has soared with improvements in management, development, and delivery. Problem is that I’m also hearing that they might not be able to meet their UAW fund committments in the near future…of course a new stimulus might correct that little issue.

      • eyeswideopen

James, try and read or watch something besides FOX, Todays news is that GM has paid off their debt with interest five years early. Darn what a shame, a good government investment. lol

      • Mike In MI

        Hi James,
Well, well…I know of someone who works for Government Motors for a long time. His opinion is that GM built up debt and did vehicle give aways for years to be in such a negative financial position they had to cry, “Bankrupt”. Then the master conman came along and figured out what they were up to and decided he wanted in on the scam they were preparing. So, he floated them some loans and a whole lot of “help” and leadership in accomplishing their ultimate goal. Trouble was he really had to stay in a neutral position if he could. How would it look to the liberals if they knew he was aiding and abetting in breaking the union? Not Good. Hi James,
Well, well…I know of someone who works for Government Motors for a long time. His opinion is that GM built up debt and did vehicle give aways for years to be in such a negative financial position they had to cry, “Bankrupt”. Then the master conman came along and figured out what they were up to and decided he wanted in on the scam they were perpetrating. So, he floated them some loans and a whole lot of “help” and even suggested leadership in accomplishing their ultimate goal. Trouble was he really had to stay in an outside position. How would it look to liberals if they found out what he was aiding and abetting? Not Good. But, how did GM do it without selling hardly a car or truck or bus or anything except some defunct subsidiaries while buying their way into Mexico and a few other overseas nations. (And, they’re still imploring, “Buy American”? R-r-r-ri-i-ight. Buy Obamican, maybe).

Anyway, what are EWO and Am Glib going to think about the worshipful master when they find out how he conned them and he’s a “union buster”?

For those of you who really think that as Biden says, “GM paid off their whole debt” is a big lie. The Tarp guru was on Fox News last night and when he was asked by Cavuto if they received more Tarp funds to pay off the debt, the Guru said yes. Check it out on Google.

Well, basically, when GM went into bankruptcy court, the Treasury Department gave them the equivalent of about $30 billion to get through bankruptcy and to survive afterward. What – even with the losses that they encountered in the third quarter, billions, it appears that they have more money on the books, so they were overcapitalized, which is a good situation to have. If somebody gives you too much money, it usually gives you a lot of options with your business.

Do your really think they are paying the debt off when they receive $30,000,000,000 and are paying back a few billion by comparison. Give me a break. You are part of the reason Obama is the president. You believe everything the dems are telling you even when they are telling you outright lies.

Read the third paragraph on google when you put GM pays back debt to govt. Read them all and you may get educated about the reality about this administration.

It’s not being weak-minded It is the reality that a once strong nation has been hoodwinked into electing a phony who is destroying freedom with each passing day and spiraling us into communism, concentration camps for American citizens, private government armies to put down the rebellions that would surely come when the commies in D.C. take full control of everybody’s lives. Would you stand there and let these atrocities happen or join patriotic Americans who would fight to the death against such tyranny and to preserve freedom.

Well, Jim, THE GOVERNMENT IS THE BURGLAR, and they HAD to steal our stuff: including, but not LIMITED TO OUR money.! you hit the nail on the head, and Muslims? Muslims will stoop to any level they need to to take the heat off their own a*s in the violence department. Anyone who has any knowledge of the Muslim belief, and it’s backed up in the Qu’ran, is commanded to violence Jihad against non believers (infidel), so the muslims can talk out of all 4 sides of their mouth, and their other mouths, too (their butts), but hopefully someone besides us “militants” will see through them.
