Activist: Tea Party Has A Chance To Revitalize Conservative Movement

April 5, 2010 by

Tea Party has a chance to revitalize conservative movement, activists predictsAs conservatives across the country are gearing up for the November elections they are looking for the most effective strategies to defeat the Democrats. For one activist, the Tea Party movement represents the best hope to revitalize and energize ordinary people across America who are tired of Washington’s excesses.

Richard A. Viguerie, chairman of ConservativeHQ.com, delivered a speech late last month at a conference sponsored by the Virginia-based Restore the Founders Vision. During the event he said that the movement has the potential to make the Republican Party more responsive to grassroots citizens.

"The populist Tea Party activists add an important fourth leg of the conservative coalition, to go with the social, economic and defense components," Vaguerie said.

He also stressed that the movement is not part of the mainstream political establishment, and therefore its members do not care whether conservative principles hurt some Republican incumbents.

"The Tea Party people are unfettered to the political establishment and are not part of the old network of lobbyists and special interests," he added.

What would you impeach president Obama for?.. Trying to bring back the economy that the republicans destroyed?.. If you rightwing goofballs didn’t impeach Bush for his crimes how could you even attempt to impeach president Obama ?.. Would the charge be.. Giving mire Americans access to healthcare.. A promise he ran for president on?.. And won the election?….you tea baggers just keep proving how ignorant you really are….I do agree with Sean Hannity on One issue… You Baggers are just Timothy McVeigh wanna be’s … But a lot more ignorant than McVeigh..

I posted this site earlier above this one and it works. Some reason a block is stopping this one. Sorry.

      • libertytrain

eyes – while hazard was correct this time through, somehow you have com in it twice so it won’t work. I just copy and paste my links and they usually work – for some reason you have frequent problems with yours – no blocks on it just the wrong link info.

Liberty, thanks for taking time to explain. I have never copied and pasted. Until this site, I have never needed too. I only use computer for for business correspondance and the such. Guess I need some instruction on copying and pasting. I hate getting older and not knowing the high tech stuff.

Lmaooo… So giving more Americans access to healthcare makes president Obama the Anti Christ….?… You rightwing religious nutcases are riot…and you wonder why nobody takes you serious ….?

It’s pretty squirrely now. (no disrespect to the squirrels). every 10 years the government goes in different directions. suggest
    1. investigate obamas background after November 2010!
    2. after November 2010 impeach obama. Some democrats who have been pressured into voting his way or the highway may join as revenge.
    3. try obama, pelosi and reid for treason. Any question about their not supporting the constitution and going around it whenever possible?
    4. break up the party system in congress. No minority or majority party labels or functions. change method of committee assignment. Minority/independent should be chair of committees, not the majority. there is too much steamrollering in congress.
seating for congress to be alphabetical by state rather than party. (promotes talking rather than browbeating. )
    5. repeal reconciliation, it is unconstitutional. the constitution is not to make things easier in congress, it is to protect the people.
    6. repeal 17th amendment. re-establish states rights,
    7. congressional ethics committees to be abolished, independent counsel/ prosecution to be arranged.
    8. Congressional ethics amendment to be done. this includes making congress subject to the same laws they pass just like citizens.
    9. repeal congressional perks. make it illegal for congress to set any perks for themselves. suggest state governments vote on this.

i don’t see this as republican or democratic. i see this as necessary for the citizens to re establish control of government.

      • JeffH

Norm, you certainly are one that has the right to make a comment like this. Never seen you try to belittle anybody by calling them names. Never seen you post anything that wasn’t spot on. Right! Talk about the pot calling the kettle black! Never a murmer of hypocrisy passes your outright honest lips. NOT! Most everything you comment on is limited to one small sentance.

      • Meteorlady

Again facts. Republican and Democrats have used it. It is meant to budget items and it was mostly used for that. NO MAJOR bill the scope of the Health Care bill has ever been passed in this manner. Pelosi wouldn’t even allow them to break because she didn’t want the to go home and hear from their constituents. The entire process was disrespectful to the people of this country because their elected representatives did not get a chance to vote again on the bill. It was politics at it’s sleaziest and you wonder what the Tea Party or the Libertarians have to offer the American people? Maybe some ethics in government and some respect for the Constitution.

      • Smilee

COME ON SISTER, LET’S TELL IT LIKE IT IS, THE RECONCILIATION BILL WAS ONLY ABOUT BUDGET ITEMS, ALL THE POLICY CHANGES WERE IN THE BILL PASSED IN DEC 2009 BY SENATE AND IN MARCH 2010 BY THE HOUSE. NOTHING WAS AGAINST EXISTING RULES USED BY BOTH PARTIES IN THE PAST AND EVERYTHING WAS PERFECTLY LEGAL. YOU SOUND LIKE A SORE LOSER WHOM WANTS US TO BELIEVE SOMETHING HAPPENED THAT DID NOT HAPPEN.

WE ARE ALL GUILTY OF ACCEPTING ANYTHING THAT POLITICIANS AND SPECIAL INTEREST GROUPS DISH OUT. WE DON’T HAVE TO TAKE IT AND ITS PASS TIME TO TAKE ACTION. FIRST THING IS TO CLEAN WASHINGTON OUT WITH LEADERS THAT WILL LISTEN TO THE PEOPLE. THE NATIONAL POLITICAL PARTIES NEED TO MAKE A CONTRACT WITH THE CITIZENS THAT WILL KEEP THIS NATION STRONG,FREE AND INDEPENDANT. ANY POLITICIAN THAT DOES NOT HONOR THIS CONTRACT WITH THE PEOPLE, IS TO HAVE A FAIR HEARING AND IF FOUND GUILTY OF VIOLATING THE CONTRACT,BE REMOVED IMMEDIATELY FROM THAT POSITION.

In 1981 President Reagan gave his tax cuts to the rich and unemployment shot up to 10.2 % and it wasn’t until his 3rd year as president that unemployment started going down …so my point is President Obama is far ahead of where president Reagan had this country….I know you rightys love Reagan … Reagan lost millions of jobs while he was president…and the economic situation that president Obama had to deal with was the worst recession since the great depression… You should be thanking President Obama for the great job is doing …. The economy is beginning to turnaround after the republicans destroyed our economy ..

Oh my – NAFTA, FREE TRADE WITH CHINA, a few other Clinton goodies resulting in hugh job losses. Repealing the Glass-Steagall Act letting banks out from under control instituted after the Depression and allowing drug companies to advertise their poisons to the tune of $35 million per year or more were really good things that Clinton did right?

Ah – lest you try the Clinton left Bush with a balanced budget – you need to go to the US Treasure sight and track the deficit. You will find that Clinton did not leave Bush with a balanced budget – he left him with a deficit of around $17 billion the year he left office and a budget for the first year Bush was in office of around $133 Billion. the reason it got so low is that Clinton had help from the Federal Reserve who devalued our dollar just a tad to make it not look so bad.

Jimmy Carter was another really good Democratic socialist president. We had 22% interest rates, unemployment, bad foreign policy and a plethora of liberal programs.

      • Smilee

A BALANCED BUDGET DOES NOT ELIMINATE YOUR DEBTS, BUT IT DOES NOT LET THE DEBT GET BIGGER, AND THAT IS WHAT BUSH INHERITED AND HE SCRAPPED THAT IDEA THAT HIS PARTY AND CLINTON HAD PUT INTO LAW, WENT ON A WILD SPENDING SPREE AND BORROWING THE MONEY TO FUND IT AND EIGHT YEARS LATER LOOK AT THE MESS HE LEFT, I’M A SENIOR CITIZEN AND I CAN NEVER REMEMBER A BIG MESS LIKE THAT AND THAT IS WHAT BUSH GAVE THIS ADMINISTRATION, AND THE IDIOTS ON THIS BOARD SEEM TO THINK OBAMA CAN SNAP HIS FINGERS AND CORRECT EVERYTHING THAT FAST AND WHEN HE CANNOT ACCOMPLISH THIS IMPOSSIBLE DEMAND OF THEIRS THEY WANT TO BELIEVE HE IS DESTROYING EVERYTHING. STICK AROUND SISTER MANY HERE WILL BE EATING THESE WORDS IN THREE OR FOUR YEARS WHEN YOU WILL BE ABLE TO SEE WHAT HE ACTUALLY ACCOMPLISHES. IT COULD BE GREAT!!

    • Meteorlady

Another small point. Reagan left office as the first president since Harry Truman to leave with both lower unemployment and inflations rates. Unemployment dropped from 7.6% in 1981 to 5.5% in 1988 and the consumer price inflation from 10.3% to 4.4%, Those are FACTS so you might read up before throwing out statics on this sight. There really are some thinking honest people here who post.

      • Smilee

HE ALSO LEFT BUSH 41 THE SAVINGS AND LOAN DEBACLE AND A WHOLE HELL OF A LOT OF DEBT AND A MUCH REDUCED MIDDLE CLASS, HE WAS THE SEED OF WHAT MATURED BY THE END OF BUSH 43 ADMINISTRATION. HE PUT IN PLACE THE REDISTRIBUTION OF WEALTH THAT SHIFTED THE WEALTH FROM WHAT WAS THEN 1% OF THE NATIONS WEALTH DISTRIBUTED AMONGST 22% OF THE POPULATION TO THE END OF BUSH 43 WHEN IT WAS SPREAD AMONGST THE TOP 5% OF THE POPULATION. REDISTRIBUTION OF WEALTH BEGAN WITH REAGAN AND BECAUSE OF IT WE HAVE A LOT LARGER POVERTY POPULATION AND A LOT MORE WELFARE BECAUSE OF IT WHILE THE LARGE CORPORATIONS FOUND IT ADVANTAGES TO REDUCE WAGES TO A LEVEL THAT MANY OF THEIR EMPLOYEES NOW CAN GET BENEFITS FROM WELFARE AND EARNED INCOME CREDITS WHICH IN EFFECT SUBSIDIZES THE EMPLOYER’S WAGE AND BENEFIT PACKAGES ALLOWING THE SHIFT OF WEALTH TO THE TOP FIVE PERCENT. THAT IS THE REPUBLICAN LEGACY OF THE LAST THIRTY YEARS AND OUR DILEMMA TODAY, OBAMA WORKING HARD TO CHANGE THAT, WILL HE SUCCEED??? WE BETTER HOPE SO!!

    • eyeswideopen

Eo, you forgot to state that Reagan had to also make a huge increase only one year after his cuts. He also screwed middle class by the way he changed the tax code. Middle class ended up paying even more.

  • Norm

The tea party movement is the best friend the Democrats could hope for. It’s splits normal Republicans(the few that remain) from the gun-toting, paranoid, misinformed, bible quoting right wing nuts.

Elton, do not think that the tea party is not funded by the republicans. Do you know who organized the group originally?? American for Prosperity and Freedom Works. Both of the directors are well known republicans. Do a little research and make the connection.

did you ever stop to think that a lot of the TEA Party participants are registered as republicans but are very disillusioned with the party??? It’s clear your an America hater and a goverment hater…. President Obamas spent most of his energy fixing what your people left the country after Bush/ Cheney…if goverment isn’t going to fix the mess you made who is?… It sure as hell won’t to your kind..

How is this heathcare fixing something? Do you know if you opt out of the program you pay $95.00 a month to the government? If you do take the program, you could pay as much as $1200.00 a month out of your check. Bailing out failures and taxing success hasn’t fixed anything either. Cutting spending on our missile defense systems, deriding Israel, and not getting touch on Iran, these don’t sound like fixing anything. When I was in the military for 20 years, I remember one of my officers telling me: “A good leader is compelled to not only know his situation, but to know everything going on around him.” It seems that Osama doesn’t know what the people of this country really want now does it?

IF YOU BUY HEALTH INSURANCE THEN NONE OF THIS APPLIES, THE CHOICE IS YOURS. WHY DID YOU NOT MENTION THE GOOD THINGS IN THE HCB, NO TURN DOWN FOR PREXISTING CONDITIONS, NO YEARLY OR LIFETIME MAXIMUMS, NO MORE BANKRUPTCIES FOR MEDICAL COSTS, HEALTH CARE PROVIDERS WILL GET ALL THE MONEY NOT BANKRUPTED, AS INCOME AND NOT AS WRITE OFFS AND OF COURSE THEY WILL PAY TAX ON THAT MONEY INSTEAD OF LOSING IT ALL AND DEDUCTING IT FROM THEIR TAXES, NO MORE MEDICARE DOUGHNUT HOLE, MEDICARE PREVENTIVE CARE WHICH ALWAYS LOWERS OVERALL COSTS, LESS EM ROOM VISITS GREATLY LOWERING THOSE COSTS, INSURANCE COMPANIES HAVE TO PAY OUT FOR MEDICAL CLAIMS 80-85% OF PREMIUMS TAKEN IN (MIGHT MAKE IT A LOT HARDER TO RAISE PREMIUMS), 30 MILLION MORE IN THE INSURANCE POOL (THE BIGGER THE POOL THE LOWER THE PREMIUMS, THAT IS ITS HISTORY) CLEANS UP OVERCHARGES BY MEDICARE ADVANTAGE PLANS TO THE TUNE OF 500 BILLION OVER TEN YEARS. HOW IS THAT FOR STARTERS, SHOULD ANSWER YOUR QUESTION OR AT LEAST MAKE YOU LOOK AT IT FOR WHAT IT REALLY IS AND NOT JUST LOOK FOR THE NEGATIVES AND IGNORE THE POSITIVES

      • Smilee

mixed up joey, again you make no sense and reveal how ignorant you are

      • dwestall

Enlightened is delusional! It was the Clinton administration that did away with the banking laws that kept Banks and Brokerage Houses and Insurance firms separate since the Great Depression. That sure made it easy for the formation of corrupt derivatives that know one knew anything about. Shame on the SEC for allowing these things in the first place. How about Barney Frank putting massive pressure on Freddie & Fannie to loosen their loan restrictions; allowing people who had no financial right to buy a house, buy one. There is plenty of blame on both sides. Obama should have broken up the big banks and thrown out the criminals that ran them. Hell, if he can stomp on bondholders rights and give Chrysler and GM to the Unions he can smack down a couple of arrogant bankers! Too many bribes I guess.

      • Smilee

I AGREE WITH MUCH OF WHAT YOU SAY BUT YOU LEAVE OUT IT WAS THE REPUBLICAN CONGRESS THAT PASSED THOSE LAWS, CLINTON COULD NOT HAVE SIGNED THEM IF THEY HAD NOT, ALBEIT HE DID SIGN IT

      • eyeswideopen

dwestall, you are just proving that you don’t know squatt. Republicans proposed the banking deregulation in 1999, and it was a republican control house and senate in 1999. By the way the other deregulation that cost us over 300billion was during Reagans admin. it was the Savings and Loan debacle. But repubs continue to want no controls on the fiscal institutions and this is what we have received, another crashed economy. Thank you so much. We all appreciate your party for thinking that the fox wouldn’t really raid the chicken coop. That he would control himself and wouldn’t be greedy and kill all the chickens. lol

I have an idea that if we vote only for candidates backed by the Tea Party, maybe we can change things. However, this President is the exact replica of a President that I conjured up in the mid-seventies what would need to happen in the world if there could ever come the anti-messiah as described in the Bible. I’m not saying that Obama is the actual anti-messiah, but I know that he is an anti-messiah if he supports the Marx doctrine, which he appears to do! Watch!

  • EltonJ

What is interesting that 40% of the Tea Party Movement is Democrat and Independent (includes Libertarians and true Anarchists). About 13% are Democrats. What we want is reduced deficit spending and tax cuts. This would spur economic growth in our Country and get us through Economic Winter and Spring.

    My Commentary:
The democrats that have joined the Tea Party Movement realize that their party has lost its way and has gone against its core values. Or, if Glenn Beck is right, the DNC is controlled by Progressive Left Wingers. In either case, the Democratic National Committee is facing a crisis. The next Democratic Convention is going to be interesting as it faces tea partiers from its own party.

Although, I foresee that the Republican Party may also face the Tea Parties and it too, may suffer a cracking. It was foretold that the Democrat Party and the Republican Party will completely fall and two parties will rise up in their place. Judging by the politics in Washington and by the Tea Party Movement this could very well happen.

    • JeffH

As I recall, the Tea Party movement started as a bi-partisan movement to carry out a nationwide protest to government on April 15th, 2008.

There is no Democratic Party or Republican Party assistance. These people contain a diverse and differant group of Americans that believe in conservative politics, not political parties. They may embrace like minded conservative politicians but have no aliances to either party.

The liberal left movement will always attempt to discredit any threat, as the Coffee Party is doing, to their agendas, no matter haow big or small it might be.

      • http://naver samurai

Very true Jeff. I joined the TEA PARTY because I also feel that our country has gone too far astray and need to get back to the founding principles of our founding fathers. I’m a historian and have been saying for certain people to really read and understand our founding documents, Common Sense, and the vision, beliefs, etc., of our founding fathers. Like keep God as a part of public life and not being forced back into the church by the liberals, atheists, and the Atheist Communist Loony Liberal Union.

      • JeffH

samurai , so true. So many still rely on what they hear from the MSM and haven’t a clue about what or who the Tea Party movement is or why it is alive and gaining ground throughout America.

Jeff, interesting that you can research but fail to find that the tea Party is funded by republicans. Let me take you down the path that you refused to follow. http://www.sourcewatch.org/index.php?title=Tea_Party_Movement_funding Notice this shows that they are funded by Americans for Prosperity—-note Koch Industries is involved
Their directors are James Miller, who was chairman of FTC (repub) and the Budget director to Reagan. Phil Kerpen a writer for Fox Forum and guest with Glenn and a well known repub. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Americans_for_Prosperity
Freedom works, Directors: Dick Armey Jack Kemp, Matt Kibbe all well known repubs. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/FreedomWorks notice Koch Industries also founded this one.
MattKibbe well known repub who runs Citizens for Sound Economy http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Matt_kibbe notice what organization is involved with this one. Does the word Koch Industries mean anything to you???? You have the nerve to state that it is not republican politics?? Every single director was republican. They were all founded by Koch Industries and you say no republican influence?? YOUR BIAS IS SHOWING. You search out the coffee party and show how the dems are involved but you refuse to acknowledge that the tea party is funded and organized by the repubs??? Either you didn’t do enough research or you are flat out trying to deceive others.

THERE IS NO STATISTICS ON THE BREAKDOWN OF WHAT THE TEA PARTY PEOPLE’S PARTY BACKGROUND IS AND YOUR IDIOTIC STATEMENT IS JUST PURE SPECULATION, BUT THE STRONG SUPPORT OF HANNITY AND OTHER RIGHT WING EXTREMISTS STRONGLY SUGGESTS A FAR RIGHT RADICAL AGENDA AND MOST SEEM TO VIEW IT AS SUCH, I SUSPECT THAT IS WHAT IT REALLY IS. YOU STATEMENT IN MY OPTION IS BUT AN ATTEMPT TO VALIDATE THIS MOVEMENT AS MORE CENTRIST TO GIVE IT MORE VALIDITY SO IT WILL NOT BE VIEWED BY THE MAINSTREAM AS RADICAL. IT WILL NOT WORK!!

Smilee, you can believe what you read and hear. That’s fine with me. For anyone who is really interested in Ayn Rand, here are some insightful comments from someone who dealt with her for over 20 years. Have patience and read it to the end. She thought that anyone who didn’t agree with her viewpoints were irrational and evil. She couldn’t entertain the thought that she might not be correct. So, Jeffie, if you are going to keep quoting her maybe a little more research is needed.

  • EltonJ

I read an article in the Deseret News that Harry Reid was invited to speak about his conversion to the LDS Church. They had to cancel it because many people in the LDS Church are Republican bordering on Patriot or Libertarian. They promised that they would heckle the Senator as he spoke about his conversion.

I thought it was pretty sad, actually. Because of a couple of reasons:

    1. It was a religious function not a political one.

    2. Harry Reid’s actions have caught up with him.

    • EltonJ

      Here’s the Article:

Senate majority leader Harry Reid is a member of the LDS Church in good standing, but some of his fellow Mormons consider him an apostate by virtue of his simply being a Democrat. And Reid’s instrumental support of the health care reform bill has put him further at odds with conservative majority in his church.

This animosity toward Reid manifested itself in a story that has the Mormon blogosphere—the “bloggernacle”—a buzz. From the Millennial Star:

[A] Stake Presidency in Nevada invited Harry Reid to speak at a “Why I Believe” fireside (Harry Reid has spoken at other such firesides in other stakes and at other functions). Members of that stake were apparently outraged at the suggestion that a Mormon with a different political viewpoint than their own might bear testimony. A member of the stake described what happened in her personal blog, The Backordered Life.

Members of her stake apparently threatened to protest with signs and to heckle Harry Reid from the audience (in a fireside about a person’s testimony! — I would guess that these same people are the type who would strongly discourage clapping after a musical number at a fireside).

Some people got a Raise, I DID Not …

I will send this out every month until election time, just as a reminder. If everyone remembers, we can make a difference.

GRRRRRRRRRR….! I’m MAD AND YOU SHOULD BE TOO!

Your U.S. House & Senate have voted themselves $4,700

    and $5,300 raises.

    1. They voted to not give you a S.S. cost of living raise in
    2010 and 2011.

    2. Your Medicare premiums will go up $285.60 for the 2-years and you will not get the 3% COLA: $660/yr. Your total 2-yr loss and cost is -$1,600 or -$3,200 for husband and wife

    3. Over 2-yrs The House & Senate each get $10,000 raises

    4. Do you feel SCREWED?

    5. WILL your cost of drugs – doctor fees – local taxes – food, etc., increase? You better believe they will!

    WILL THEIRS…NO WAY
. They have a raise and better benefits. Why care about you? You never did anything about it in the past.
You’re obviously too stupid or don’t care. No offense; just making a point!

    6. Do you really think that Nancy, Harry, Chris, Charlie, Barnie, et al, care about you?

SEND THE MESSAGE — You’re FIRED.!!!

IN 2010 YOU WILL HAVE A CHANCE TO GET RID OF THE SITTING CONGRESS AND Up to 1/3 OF THE SENATE, AND 100% OF THE HOUSE.

MAKE SURE YOU’RE STILL MAD IN NOVEMBER 2010 AND TELL THEIR REPLACEMENTS NOT TO SCREW UP.

It is ok to forward this to your sphere of influence if you are finally tired of the abuse.
    Maybe it’s time for the……..

    Amendment 28
“Congress shall make no law that applies to the citizens of the United
States that does not apply equally to the Senators or Representatives,
and Congress shall make no law that applies to the Senators or
Representatives that does not apply equally to the citizens of the
    United States .”

Let’s get this passed around, folks – these people in Washington have brought this upon themselves!!! It’s time for retribution. Let’s take back America.
If you don’t forward this to all your friends you’re just part of the problem of national apathy.

    • Military Couple

I AGREE & you said it much more clearly and distinctly than I did many months ago. I will pass this around to everyone I know because when asked, most people don’t even realize this has happened. Unfortunately, I don’t think there are a handful of ethical, caring politicians out there who would even try to get this passed. We have let them create a government full of elitist politicians that believe they know better on how to run our lives and who truly believe that they are better than the rest so they vote themselves more & more benefits paid by the rest of us. IT IS WRONG!!!!! Find someone who will stand behind this and I will vote for them- Black, White, Yellow, Green or Pink: Democrate, Republician, or Independent. NOT SOCIALIST because it would be a lie and they would find a way to go around it for their own benefit.

    • Military Couple

BTW, I think that the 28th Amendment should say “all Branches of the US Government (this includes the Executive Branch & Judicial Branch), not just Congress, Senate & House. NONE of them should have special treatment.

Subject: FW: Proposed 28th Amendment to the United States Constitution

As a widow of a military retiree, who stood with her husband for over 20 years while he served this country (which was the greatest in the world until this Congress and President took over), I have to say I agree. Shirley

As a retired military man that have given over twenty-seven years of my life to my country, I truly feel that what this
Country needs most is a new amendment to the Constitution . I am recommending that we add the 28th amendment to the Constitution of the UNITED STATES.

For too long we have been too complacent about the workings of Congress. Many citizens had no idea that Congress members could retire with the same pay after only one term, that they didn’t pay into Social Security, that they specifically exempted themselves from many of the laws they have passed (such as being exempt from any fear of prosecution for sexual harassment) while ordinary citizens must live under those laws. The latest is to exempt themselves from the Healthcare Reform that is being considered…in all of its forms. Somehow, that doesn’t seem logical. We do not have an elite that is above the law. I truly don’t care if they are Democrat, Republican, Independent or whatever. The self-serving must stop.

This is a good way to do that. It is an idea whose time has come.

Proposed 28th Amendment to the United States Constitution:

“Congress shall make no law that applies to the citizens of the United States that does not apply equally to the Congressman, Senators and Representatives; and, Congress shall make no law that applies to the Congressman. Senators and Representatives that does not apply equally to the citizens of the United States”.

This 28th amendment to the Constitution of the UNITED STATES Will apply to all passed, present and future
    congressman, Senators And Representatives.
Just think of all the money this would save the tax payers!!!!!

I think the Senators, Representatives or Congressman that comes out strongly for this will be our next President.

The Tea Baggers are nothing but Republicans pretending to have another course…. Hannity called them Timothy McVeigh wanna be’s….. My take is they just can’t stand to see an intelligent Black president in the whitehouse…. If they were really aginst spending and socialism they would have spoken up during the last administration… President Obamas offered American something in return for his Healthcare bill which will bring down the deficit… Their was a redistrabution of wealth.. The top 2% has more wealth than ever.. At the expense of the middle class and with the help of the Republican party… The Tea baggers seem to have adopted the likes of Sarah Palin as they’re spokesperson and she’s on nothing but a rightwing money grab…Hollywood Sarah is the perfect example of hypocracy …I hope she gets her Million dollar an episode reality show… We need the rightwing version of Gene Simmons and Ozzy Osborn…

    • Mike Grandy

Your post represents that great divide between the intelligent, educated, and logical thinking majority of Americans, and the blindly obedient, slavish, lock-step thinking of the left…where you obviously reside. Obama fooled a whole lot of people with his populist, well-phrased visition of “hope and change” on the heels of an unpopular war and president. Fortunately, it hasn’t taken long for most of those people to wake up to the reality of just who Obama is. Rather than a president dedicated to the protection and defense of our constitution, he has revealed himself to be exactly the opposite in nature, believing that the constitution is a “flawed document.” But people like you not only won’t wake up, you’ll continue to stay in lock-step with the most socialist, even marxist, president that has ever been elected (some would say he bought the election, thanks to George Soros and millions of unidentified internet doners) in this country. Obama is our first black president, and I’m hopeful that he won’t be our last. But a majority of Americans now realize what a mistake it was not to listen to the warning signs — Wright, Alinsky, etc. — that would have revealed the true character of this man. Black or white, he was a mistake and will continue to wreak havoc on our country until he can be removed, either by the next election or by impeachment (if it’s proven he has done an impeachable offense). Oh, and what sort of bonehead would ever attribute a statement to Sean Hannity like “he thinks the TEA party people are McVeigh wanna-bes.” You are not even on the right planet with a comment like that. That in itself shows just how misinformed — or biased — you really are.

Who was the one who bailed out failures and is taxing success? Bush may have spent on the War on Terror and Homeland Security, but he never gave all the handouts and lost as many jobs as “Osama” Obama. If he really wants to prove he cares about the people, let him have the Bush tax cuts that end in 2011 and 2013 continue. I know he won’t do it because he’ll have less money to spend. How is Sarah on a right wing money grab? Does that mean that Clinton was on a left wing money grab from 2000 – 2008? You must be on “Osama” Obama’s hand out list.

    • Harold Olsen

We never have had an intelligent black president in the White House. Oh! You meant Obama! You call him intelligent? This moron can’t even make a speech unless it’s written down for him and put on a teleprompter so he can read it. And even then, he can’t pronounce the words properly And if that telprompter breaks down, then he’s really screwed! Yet, Sarah Palin, who gives a two or three hour speech, using only a few words written on her hand for talking points, is labeled stupid. The chair I’m sitting in is more intelligent than Barack Hussein Obama and would do a better job than he.

      • Smilee

I ALWAYS LAUGH WHEN SOMEONE BRINGS UP OBAMA AND HIS TELEPROMPTER, IT IS WELL KNOWN FACT THAT REAGAN WAS THE MASTER OF THE TELEPROMPTER, ALWAYS USED IT. My Dear “Alpha Hotel”, (If you don’t know what that stands for in the military, ask your mother. She’s the one that wears combat boots in your family. Right?) Any way, “My Dear Horatio”, The term of dis-endearment used by so many of the oh so tolerant progressives – “Tea bag, Teabaggers, Baggers”, et al, is defined as: “An act of oral gratification performed on the male testicles”. How sweet of them to try and lump us in with Barney Frank. And they wonder why we seem just a tad less than civil towards them. I do wonder, what would Freud say? Eh? My little baguette? [No offense to the Hospitality Industry expressed nor implied.] Question: What do Barack Obama and Tiger Woods have in common, and why is it so different? Answer: Tiger Woods calls himself a “Cablasian”, and BrObama is a “Cablafrican”.
Here’s just one of the little insights Mrs. Palin had: “You’ll get all the health care you ‘need’ “. So sayeth The One, during one of his presidential campaign’s Q & A’s. (Later, a “Panel of Experts” was found in the then proposed legislation, now law, that would determine the value of healthcare to the state verses the individual, with criterion weighted heavily, of course, in the state’s favor. And NY Times columnist, Paul Krugman, just came out in favor of the provision. This is after he vehemently denied its existence and derided Sarah Palin unmercifully before it was passed.) Oh that silly Sarah. “Death Panels”? “You Betcha”.

Glad to see you have lumped Tea Party people all together. They are not Republicans – they are people that are sick of the Limbaugh’s and Hannity’s spouting off with their radical crap. They are sick to death of socialism and watching their money to go others that don’t want to work for it. They are sick to death of government run schools that are turning out illiterate children. And mostly they are sick of all the corruption and crooks in public office.

If it makes you feel better to throw out the race card go ahead. It means nothing to most of us Independents that don’t believe either side of the political commentary. What I hate about Obama is his politics – and he’s only 3% black for the record. Who I would have voted for was Condi Rice – that’s a lady with intelligence, more experience than Obama and with the balls to do the right thing for this country. Maybe even Colin Powel because he’s a middle of the road kind of guy and seems to be pretty honest.

You are just as sick as the people on the far right who listen and soak up every work that Rush spouts out – you have the same guys on the left but wait…. those are your heros right? Their word is absolute and always right….. ops, I mean left. Go ahead and call names and make generalizations – that’s about the only argument anyone for this government has given me – insults, name calling, labeling, etc.

Mitt Romney will be forever linked to that disaster and, no, he won’t be the GOP candidate, bet on it.
I sense a lot of hate and anger in your comments.

      • Smilee

THE ONLY ONE IN THE REPUBLICAN PARTY WHO STANDS A CHANCE TO BEAT OBAMA AND EVEN THAT IS NOT LIKELY, WHY WOULD YOU NOT GO WITH YOUR BEST CHANCE??? ANY OTHER PROBABLY BRINGS ON ANOTHER LANGDON OUTCOME IN 12

      • JeffH

Reason is not automatic. Those who deny it cannot be conquered by it. Do not count on them. Leave them alone.
        Ayn Rand

    • JeffH

I’m quite sure, based on Virginia, New Jersey and Massachusets, that the Democrats would be ecstatic to have an Obama endorsement.

      • Palin12

Obama has already been here in NV to endorse Dirty Harry. The usual crap about Yucca Mountain, blah blah blah, ancient history. Turn out the lights Harry, the party’s over.

    • http://?? Joe H.

      JPW-,
George Romney was the most Do-Nothing politician I ever saw!!!! He was one of the worst things that ever happened to Michigan in the 26 years I lived there. I was born and raised in Michigan so don’t tell me how good he was!!!

      • Smilee

HE WAS A REPUBLICAN WASN’T HE???

      • http://?? Joe H.

No Smelly he was a RINO!!!

      • Smilee

RINO is your opinion, republican is a fact, but of course you would not know the difference

  • Palin12

You know another reason the left fears Sarah Palin so much? It’s because she’s YOUNG! No matter how much they try to ridicule her, she’s going to be around for a LONG TIME! Way longer than Hillary or Pelosi.

    • JeffH

Palin12, Palin may never become president, and that’s OK with me, just as long as she remains a “pailin” in the butt to the liberal left, Democratic Socialist Party and all the liberal Republicans.

    • http://naver samurai

Yea. She’s a lot smarter and prettier too.

    • http://?? Joe H.

      Palin12,
What age is p-lousey now??? 108 or 9???? She sure looks it!!!! that mask streached over her face like that!! What?!?!? That IS her face?!?!?! The hell you say!!!

      • Palin12

LOL she sure looks it, but she’s “only 70″ and tons of plastic surgery as has Biden.

  • JPW-

JeffH You have that right. Bush was totally out of control and where did that get us.Did you ever wonder why he never went back to his stage prop ranch in Texas that had Ya all fooled that he was just one of us.Karl Rove was not really as much of a genius as he is given credit for.It just does’nt take much to pull the wool over some peoples eyes.I’ve never heard such chicken crap rhetoric in my life like oh no their going to take my guns away,my liberties, the sky is falling etc .The only thing you have to fear is your that you dont know or understand when everything is not just about you but also your fellow human being. When someday you realize this you will be a much happier person and lose some of your hatred from within.

    • JeffH

You idiots are all disciples of the master deceiver and it ends up that you are only deceiving yourselves with your rhetoric. You’re right, it doesn’t take much to pull the wool over someones eyes, especially those eyes belonging to the liberals that are being used and duped by Obama to promote his socialist agenda on America. You people are nothing more than pawns in chess game to him, expendable!
Who is really promoting threats and violence in America. The same people that promoted the threats and violence against Bush during his 8 years as president. The Democrats, liberals, MOVEON.ORG and the Soros connected groups and organizations including their bought and paid for media outlets. They’ve done it in the past and they’re doing it again. Most American’s are wise to the methods used by the left now, plain and simple.

      • JeffH

Violence is nothing new to the liberals, heck, they wrote the book!

    • http://naver samurai

Face it, liberal loon! We were safer under Bush than with Osama! That is a fact that cannot be disputed!

      • Smilee

AND JUST WHAT BRINGS YOU TO THAT CONCLUSION????? NO EVIDENCE OF ANY KIND YOU KNOW!! PARANOIA, I SUSPECT!!!

      • JeffH

Wow! You tell ‘em Smilin Smilee! Hah! Nothing like feelin’ the security of the shepherd.

JPW, since when is Robert not good enough to old-fashioned, American-style dissent? Do you think George Washington never had negative comments thrown in his direction? Do you think Jefferson wowed everybody?
Robert, I wish you luck with an impeachment approach, but your odds are not good. Do you remember how/why the Bubba Clinton impeachment failed? Back then, it was Bubba or the king of duh, Gore [ARRRGGHHHH!}. Bubba didn’t have the spectrum-wide kook support that put Obummer in the White House. If we can’t impeach someone like Bubba Clinton, we’re banging our heads against a brick wall in trying to impeach someone like Obummer.
The forces that put Obummer in the White House would defend Hitler or a demonic presence at all costs, as long as their ‘hero’ is busily destroying America from within.

    • JeffH

s c, you got that right! To add to it, how can you impeach someone that has full control of the process.

  • JPW-

An attack on our President such as impeachment or physical threats are treasonous in time of war. If your not with us your against us. Us meanining the United States. So mister Robert I believe you should go crawl into the cave with your buddy Osama And John Bonehr.America does’nt need traitors when our troops are in harms way.I know your type your heroes are guy’s like Tim Mcveigh Not the brave men and women who need our support in Afganistan & Iraq.

    • JeffH

JPW, DUH! The only one threatening the president is your miniscule mind! BOO! Scared by your own shadow! Tim Mcveigh? C’mon, that has become another leftist talking point, we’re wise to you guys. Anybody can study and read and understand Alinsky’s words, not just the liberal socialists that practice it. We’re all not in possession of the low IQ’s or lack of intelligence and education that you believe. Keep on thinking like that as we pass you by…

    • http://naver samurai

I agree that giving threats of physical harm to the president are wrong, but impeachment is not wrong. Our founding fathers included when and how to impeach the president in The Constitution. If the president has broken the law, committed treason, or basically overrides the Constitution. “Osama’s” czars, bailouts, healthcare, etc., are all unconstitutional. I just read how Indiana has joined the list of states going to court over Osamacare. This heathcare legislation is not wanted by 60% – 70% of Americans and is a violation of the 10th Amendment to the Constitution. I don’t think it’ll get off the ground and definately won’t go past 2012!

  • http://www.nosmog.com ROBERT

THE ONLY THING AND THE BEST WAY IS TO CONTACT HOUSE REP. JOHN BOEHNER TO OPEN AND START “IMPEACHMENT” AGAINST OBAMA. IT IS THE LAW SAID IN OUR ” CONSTITUTION AND AMENDMENT LAWS” !. LETS SEND JOHN BOEHNER’S E MAIL:
    John Boehner <AsktheLeader@mail.house.gov

    OR FAXES TO HIM NOW.

THAT WILL SAVE LOTS OF PROBLEMS WITH FRAUD OBAMA AND OTHERS AND PROTECTION OUR AMERICAN COUNTRY $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$.

    • Smilee

IT WILL GO NOWHERE, WHAT A JOKE

      • JeffH

        We agree again. WOW!

  • s c

Why give anyone (let alone george soros) a chance to divide and conquer? If you have found strength in the Tea Party, it is utterly illogical to waste time exploring another ‘party.’
Soros and everyone like him will stumble and fall under the weight of their schemes. The topic at hand is freedom. Keep your eyes on the goal. Avoid distractions, and let the useful idiots of America rant and rave while America regains its freedom.

    • Fed Up Gal in Nm

      sc,

I have no intention of joining any type of liberal activist movement…the point I was trying to make is that there are a lot of unscrupulous types out there trying to lure people into their group and sometimes you don’t realize what they really stand for until you’ve asked a lot more questions and researched as best you can. I’m checking into the Tea Party because although it seems like a group I would want to support, I just want to make sure I understand all of it’s core values. For instance, I did not see on their website “how” they would expect elected officials to accomplish their lower taxes. I’m looking for specifics; i.e., no tax dollars to pay for abortions as birth control; exactly what do they believe should be tax subsidized, etc. FairTax.org does explain specifics as to how lower taxes would be possible, but I just have not seen this on TeaParty.org….hoping I will get that info from the Tea Party president since I emailed him.

      • Claire

Fed Up Gal–Common sense, a person just cannot “leap” into things–like I did. Like my Mother said, “if you make a mistake and tyyou are lucky enough to come out unscathed, don’t do it again.”

        Happy Easter to everybody!!

        Happy Easter Claire

      • Claire

        Palin12–

A Happy Easter to you too! Company is all gone, my husband is “out like a light.” Dogs playing in the backyard. Everything is good. A wonderful day. I sincerely hope yours is great too.

    • eyeswideopen

s c, so, everyone must follow your idea of freedom and that means not to investigate any other organization? You expect others to just accept that they need to belong to the tea party organization with no questions asked? Sounds a little totalalitarian. You have decide which group is correct and by golly, no one should question your judgement and they should automatically just accept your decision and that is the end of the story. Talk about sheep!!! Independents like to explore all avenues prior to making up their minds. They are known for not having a closed mind, and research issues on their own without undue influence from either side of an issue. You are a classic authoritarian demanding that all must follow the same road and believe in the exact same thing. You are anti-American.

      Claire,
Here is another interesting article I found on the Coffee Party.

Don’t drink the liberal Coffee Party Kool-aid
By Glen Enloe, Kansas City Star Midwest Voices columnist 2010

“Make no mistake about it; the Coffee Party is a sham to divert well-intentioned and concerned citizens away from the Tea Party.

When liberals can’t kill or discredit something that threatens them, they morph into something similar to fool people. Don’t fall for it. It’s nothing but another end run to divert attention from real problems and smear a movement that truly stands for something besides feel-good platitudes.”

        JeffH/Claire,

Jeff – thanks so much for sharing your research. I had heard of the Coffee Party, but had no idea one way or the other. I appreciate your info. I’ve emailed Dale Robertson, Tea Party president requesting more information….but so far I like what I’ve read on their website http://www.teaparty.org.

Claire – Yours’ was an honest mistake; don’t be so hard on yourself. It’s sad to know that there are people out there that go out of their way to deliberately mislead us, but I guess we should not be surprised. I mean…look at all the smoke and mirrors put on by Obama and his band of robbing hoods. We just need to be a little more skeptical until we know more about the group, etc.

Fed Up Gal & Jeff H–

Fed Up Gal– Nonetheless, I should have taken the time to pull it up on the Internet. But hurry, hurry, that is the story of my life.

Jeff H — I won’t be wasting my time, no more meetings! You did what I should have done. Thanks for the info. I appreciate your posts.

      • JeffH

Claire, it wasn’t an easy find. I did a lot of research to find the link, and sure enough it was there.

      • Claire

Jeff H–Thanks. All of this info is stored in my brain, permanently. Oh, BTW, one of my own “girls” is in Florida right now. She took Best of Breed and a Group 4 yesterday. Another one of my girls that lives in Colorado got her last leg on her Master Hunter. She is now a “Master Hunter.” Yesterday was a good day for my dogs. Hooray!! Sorry, I got off the subject but I had to tell you.

      • Jim H.

Hi Claire, Congratulations on the success of your pups. It’s Ok to go off subject with something fun like that. Happy Easter.

      • JeffH

Claire, a Shorthair is such a majestic athlete no matter what the venue, show, hunting ot field trials. Of course good bloodlines don’t hurt and of course the people that help them realize their full potential. Congratulations. Would there be a website where I might be able to view some pictures of your “babes”?

      • Claire

JeffH–No, I don’t have a website. Sure wish I did. I typed in my name once on Yahoo and nothing but dog show results came up. Surprised me. I’ll figure something out. I may get a website yet. I will check into it. I would have to have someone design it but that is no problem, I will get back to you on this.
Also, has anyone notice the time of these posts? Mine runs an hour behind.

      • JeffH

My times show uo as PST, being on the west coast.

      • Claire

JeffH–My girl that is in Florida took Best of Breed again today!! And a Group 3!!! Hooray!!!! Happy Easter to everybody!! I hope everyone had a great day today!! I am doing the “happy dance.”

      • Claire

Jim H–And thank you for the congrats! I must remember my manners. I was/am so excited!!! LOL Still doing the happy dance!! You know, I forget the cares of the world and problems in my own life because of the dogs!! They keep me going and I truthfully think they keep my husband going. Sure keeps him active and he needs to stay active. The ones I have are so lovey dovey. They are adorable. And the ones that went to other people also have the same temperaments. Good stable dogs. My neighbors tease me–Don’t ask Claire about her kids, ask her about her dogs!” But hey know I love my kids too.

      • Fed Up Gal

        Claire,

Just a thought (about the website thing); maybe you could post your pups awards and photos on Facebook? Probably easier, quicker and cheaper (as in free) than creating a website.

        Fed Up Gal

      • Claire

Fed Up Gal– Facebook–good idea. I will have to check into this. My friend in Florida and I co-own a dog, she is on Facebook and I know she has pictures of her dogs on it. I will post a message the very minute I have my dogs either on a website or Facebook!

      • Fed Up Gal

        Claire,

Oooooops! I’d like to add: And your “kids” too….Sorry…I don’t have 2-legged kids (just the 4-legged ones)…and I didn’t see your later post about your neighbors teasing you. Anyway, you could post ‘em all on Facebook….lol.

I have been a registered Republican for many many years. And I am not a Liberal. I simply try to see/understand both sides on an issue. Then I make up own my mind as to what I believe is correct. At this time strict Conservatism is what I think is the answer to our Nation’s problems. There are so many problems/issues to deal with now that it is mindboggling. These problems have been going on for years. People cannot expect them to be cleared up overnight. I would say this if a Repbulican were President.
I think the tea party movement appears to be geared towards the right. Especially judging by the speakers they have. And it appears to me the Republicans (RINOs) are trying to take it over. The RINOs are sure trying to take over here where I live.
I do not consider tea parties to be racist. But I believe racism is still alive in America.
I have now attended a “coffee party.” It was NOT geared towards any party, totally grassroots. I will be attending future coffee parties.

    • Claire

      whoops—-Republican were President. Too early.

Jeff— Dang it!! @#&$@# I did not bother to pull up anything on the Internet. I went with a girl from my office. The odd thing is that nothing you mentioned was even discussed. And no one bashed the political parties. Of course, it was the first meeting so they’ll probably get to the nitty gritty at their next meeting. Oh well, chalk it off as another hairbrained scheme. Looks like I won’t be going to another one. This is all I need–to get involved in some shyster outfit. Live and learn.

      • JeffH

Claire, the Coffee Party is the left’s answer for the Tea Party, which is a conservative movement, not a Republican movement. This article was in the Portland Progressive Examiner, which pretty well sums up what their goal is, to discredit the Tea Party movement. Read it and decide for yourself what their underlying goal is. It certainly sounds like the same rhetoric coming from the Democrats and liberal NSM, almost word for word.

March 15, 2:33 PM Portland Progressive Examiner Michael Stone
The Coffee Party Movement is the promotion of civil discourse and compromise in the political system. It is an attempt to circumvent the right wing noise machine, an attempt to combat the fear, lies and slogans of the angry, irrational Tea Party Movement with calm and reasonable debate.

The Coffee Party movement is good people participating in the democratic process. Unlike the Tea Party, the Coffee Party is true grass roots. Where as the Tea Party was and continues to be only astroturf, all smoke and mirrors: media manipulation via Fox News; the Coffee Party Movement is the real deal, a model of grass roots participation: good people, doing the right thing.

      • JeffH

The Coffee Party is a model of the Soros socialistic web of deception and the bad part is that there will be many innocent, honest and good people that will be “used” by the socialist hierarchy to promote their propaganda thru lies and deciet.

JEFFIE ALWAYS THINGS HE ALWAYS KNOWS HOW LIBERALS THINK, BELIEVE AND ACT, THE FACT IS HE HASN’T A CLUE, ALSO I’M BETTING HE HAS NEVER BEEN TO A DEMOCRAT GET TOGETHER OF ANY KIND. HE IS CLUELESS ON MOST THINGS ONE ONLY HAS TO READ HIS POSTS TO COME TO THAT CONCLUSION. YOU LIKE ME WE HAVE BEEN TO MANY IN BOTH PARTIES. MY OWN EXPERIENCE, A OF THE REPUBLICANS HAVE A LOT OF MEMBERS FILLED WITH HATE AND THUS A LOT MORE INFIGHTING THAN I HAVE FOUND IN THE DEMOCRAT PARTY. DEMOCRATS ARE A LOT MORE TOLERANT OF DIFFERING VIEWS. THE HEALTH CARE BILL, REPUBLICANS ALL WENT ONE WAY AND DEMOCRATS HAD SOME OF EACH AND THEY STILL GET ALONG. TWO YEARS AGO SIX REPUBLICANS IN MN VOTED TO OVERRIDE GOV, PAWLENTY’S VETO AND IMMEDIATELY THEY WERE CASTIGATED BY THE PARTY LEADERSHIP, IN THE 08 ELECTION PRIMARIES ONLY ONE SURVIVED AND WENT ON TO BE REELECTED. IT IS THIS ATTITUDE THAT DIVIDES THEM AND WHY THEY NO LONGER ARE IN THE MAJORITY. DRIVE OUT THE RINO’S, KEEP AN EYE ON MCcAIN HE MAY VERY WELL BE THEIR NEXT FALL GUY.

      • JeffH

Coffee Party is too far left for me and the Tea Party is not too bad where I live. Most people are just fed up with corruption in government. I don’t belong to anything, am an Independent voter and believe that the special interests want this country brought to the level of a third world country because then they will have a hugh cheap labor pool, just like now with the illegals.

      • Claire

I have checked into them further, And I won’t be going to anymore of their parties. The Repubs (RINOs) here in town are organizing a big tea party. I won’t be going to it either. Being an Independent sounds pretty good.

      • JeffH

Claire, you might consider checking them out, if for nothing more than seeing what kind of people they are. You can leave if you like or have seen enough. Either way, just an idea and another lesson in life. I went to one here in Fresno last year just to see a diverse bunch of what seemed to be good people, but I’m just not much into crowds.

      • Claire

JeffH–The tea party starts at 5:00 p.m. and I do not get off work until then. I have to hurry home, feed the dogs, and by the time I get done with them it is almost 6:00 p.m. But I could still give it a go, I would just be late.

      • JeffH

Claire, do what you feel most comfortable doing, don’t rush anything on account of my words. Your dogs and family are first and foremost, not necessarily in that order though. (I’m smiling)
There will be other opportunities if you choose, even out of curiosity. If you decide to attend, do it for yourself and no one else.

      • Claire

JeffH–If I don’t make it this time, there will be others I know. And I will go out of curiosity. But remember, curiosity killed the cat! LOL — I am being silly tonight. Seriously, I do want to go to a tea party. It could very well be informative.

      • Claire

JeffH– I forgot to add, I’ll see the RINOs at the tea parties here. Of course, I could always heckle them.

      • Fed Up Gal

        Claire,

I agree with JeffH. Go to check it out and make up your own mind about active participation. One point I’d like to make is: If independents choose not to even check out the Tea Party or if they go and then leave simply because there’s some RINOs’ there….how will a strong grass roots effort ever survive? Why not go and offer your feedback; the more the merrier I say…since that’s the only way we’re going to really understand the issues Conservatives and Independents can agree on.

        Fed Up Gal

      • Claire

Fed Up Gal–Nothing ventured nothing gained. I will check it out. The first tea party only had about 100 people in attendance. I suspect there will be more at the next one.

  • Fed Up Gal in NM

I’m a registered Republican and have in the past usually (but not always) voted Republican. I think the Republican party needs to understand why the Tea Party (and other grass roots activist groups) have come about. The Republican party should return to it’s conservative values and to a much smaller government.

The Democrat party is worried about the Tea Party’s impact, because although Democrats generally talk as if the Tea Party is a bunch of racist people….they really know the Tea Party is growing and becoming more diverse and more educated about the platforms and actions of both parties….so the Tea Party is likely going to be a new and needed dimension in our political process. The more the Democrats make light of the Tea Party….the more worried they really are!

    Fed Up Gal

    • Meteorlady

Yes – but there are many Black people who are attending and even appearing at Tea Party rallies. How do the Democrats explain that? Is Lloyd racists? He calls himself an American. The Tea party must be doing something right or the left would not be so afraid of them.

      • Harold Olsen

They don’t explain it. They ignore it by claiming the TEA Partiers are ALL white male Republicans. No minorities or women attend these TEA Party events.

      • Smilee

NOT ALL, JUST THE MAJORITY AND THE CONTROLLERS, THE REPUBLICAN PARTY HAS ALWAYS HAD A FEW AFRICAN AMERICANS AND THEY USUALLY MAKE SURE THEY ARE IN THE FOREFRONT, MR. STEELE BEING THE PRIME EXAMPLE TODAY, IN MY OPINION THEY ARE BEING USED

      • JeffH

Your opinions are based on nothing more than pure, unadulterated conjecture

      • Smilee

I WAS ACTIVE IN THE REPUBLICAN PARTY UNTIL I WAS 53, WHAT I SAY ABOUT THE REPUBLICANS I EXPERIENCED WITH THEM, WHEN THE FAR RIGHT WING RADICALS INFILTRATED THE PARTY AND STARTED TAKING IT OVER I FOUND MYSELF SURROUNDED WITH PEOPLE FILLED WITH HATE AND MANY ALSO RACISTS AND IN 30+ YEARS THAT WAS ACTIVE I SAW LESS AFRICAN AMERICANS THAN I COUNT ON MY FINGERS, AND ABSOLUTELY NO NATIVE AMERICANS. NO JEFFIE MY CONCLUSIONS ARE BASED ON A LONG EXPERIENCE WITH THESE HATERS AND THAT IS WHY I QUIT THE REPUBLICAN PARTY. I HAVE SINCE FOUND IN THE DEMOCRATIC PARTY JUST THE OPPOSITE AND I ALSO FOUND UNTIL I JOINED THEM HOW WRONG I WAS ABOUT THEM AS I USED TO THINK LIKE YOU DID BUT TIME AND MATURITY PROVIDED ME WITH THE WISDOM TO KNOW THE TRUTH ABOUT BOTH PARTIES. WHAT I READ HERE ABOUT DEMOCRATS ARE NOTHING MORE THAN EXPRESSIONS OF HATE OR FRUSTRATIONS OR BOTH AND LITTLE ACCURACY.

      • JeffH

You keep talking about the Republican Party which isn’t remotely connected to the purely grassrooted Tea Party movement. As I said before, pure conjecture on your part, even with your tenure as a Republican supporter.

Make no mistake about it, this may be our last chance to awaken America. Our in-house, domestic traitors have been deeply entrenched since the 1860s, and they have the resources to pick and choose how they resist.
The goal must be nothing less than to throw off the chains of a supposedly benign slavery. Our government is a monster, and once it has been aroused, we will soon learn how much ‘love, compassion and concern for the general welfare’ they care to dish out to the American people.
America, we will have freedom, or we will have utter slavery.

    • Reg Gehret

The Tea Party seems disorganized at the start.

I have no interest in being a member of it, but the 2 party system is insufficient for a country as vast as the US. The addition of the Tea Party could possibly bring about a broader view if they would place themselves between the Republicans and Democrats.

I most often vote Democrat because the Republicians ignore lower income people. Now then Chicago political life is too much in the other direction (Former Mayor Daly(sp) is an example.

Financially I am in good shape and am not looking for a Govt. handout, and fortunatly Barack Obama is repairing many of the old Republican ideas.

      • Jim H.

Reg, Just what old Republican ideas is Obama “repairing” All I’ve seen is the situation getting worse since this guy showed up.

      • Meteorlady

Tea Party does not have “members” it has participants. As for repairing – what repair? I see a mess worse than ever before. I see corruption, increased lobbying, increased spending, no transparency, and certainly not fiscal constraint. I see major legislation passed using a rule that applies to the budget not this type of thing. I see back door deals to buy votes. So if the Democrats favor the poor, why is it that the War on Poverty has added 20% more people per capita to the poverty ranks?

Liberal/socialist policies always favor the party that pushed for them. It’s more votes because everyone wants Ice Cream. But when the Ice Cream runs out – what happens then? We are currently at the point where 50% of the people are supporting the other 50% when you factor in government jobs which product nothing. If we took at that money we are going to spend on Health Care, we could have give each of the 30million (or was it 47 million?) money to buy their own health care. Or even used it to fix Medicaid and Medicare. Now we are creating 16,500 jobs in the IRS to monitor bank accounts and take money from them. We are adding another 25,000 to oversee this dog of a program. Plus add office space and equipment and what do you have? Another hugh government bureaucracy that is going to produce absolutely nothing and grow until it bleeds us dry.

Same with the bailouts. If they had distributed just the AIG money to the taxpayers of this country we could have all paid off our mortgages, purchased a nice cadillac health care plan and invested the rest for retirement.

Norman, thanks for the hint, but they don’t trust wikipedia on this site either. It is hard to find any sites they actually believe. They only believe Fox news, and the washington Post. I usually try and find at least three sites to give info, unless I am tired.

      • Patriot

Reg Gehret: The Tea Party is not that kind of party. It is a group of citizens who are tired of the take over of our freedoms by the government. There is another political party called the American Independent Party that stand for what America used to be, a country government by the people and for the people, the way it is established in the Constitution originally.

    • JeffH

This quote pretty well sums up what a lot of us, Tea Party or not, support.

“He also stressed that the movement is not part of the mainstream political establishment, and therefore its members do not care whether conservative principles hurt some Republican incumbents.”

Thank god that the masses and the Tea Party people are recognizing the attempts by the leftist controlled MSM and leftist SEIU goons to discredit and paint the picture of the Tea Party participants as radical, threatening and violent. Every report of violence and threats are being exposed as either “fringe” or one of a Soros’ funded liberal organization. Various Tea Party spox persons recognize the Alinsky type tactics when these propagandists that show up to their destinations and wave the foul signs in front of the MSM to get them on camera for all of the country to view. Thank god for people like Andrew Brietbart that catch many of these incidents, like the Pro-Reid egg throwers threatening him and tossing the eggs at the Tea Party bus in Nevada and that some were card carrying members of IBEW and a not so gentlemanly man, identified with his name, holding an egg that was confirmed to have worked for the Nevada Democratic Party.

This video show the DC mentality towards the Tea Party…

      • Palin12

You got that right Jeff. The liberal lunatics are trying to discredit the Tea Party by making totally unfounded accusations, especially in regards to racism. As you know I was at the Tea Party last week in Dirty Harry’s hometown of Searchlight, Nevada so I observed everything first hand. There were NO racial epithets, no nooses and no violence on our end, just freedom-loving people brought together to peacefully oppose Obamacare. The left thinks if they keep repeating charges of racism over and over people will believe it. Now the Congressman in DC who was allegedly spit on denies having ever made that report. One report even said there were “a few dozen people in attendance”. Too bad liars, I have an aerial photograph that shows otherwise! I hope more Americans wake the hell up and see it’s all left-wing propaganda.

JOEY BABY, I HAVE NEVER SAID THAT BUT IT IS REALLY IRRELEVANT THE VAST MAJORITY ARE NOT

      • JeffH

Palin12, so true…relating to the accusations made by the black Congressmen, there were hundreds of media and thousands of people snapping pictures and taking videos and not one has produced any evidence of proof. Andrew Brietbart has offered $100,000 reward to anyone that steps forward with viable proof of that any of that took place. I als saw the footage of him in Searchlight filming the egg throwers and being threatend by them. They bragged to him how they were mis-directing the buses that carried Tea Party supporters to the rally.
The liberals need to step back and rethink their position in all of this. What they are doing is not random, it is all part of their plan to make the Tea Party look like idiots. Nothing better when it blws up in their face, and think about how the liberals always brag about their higher education and IQ’s. They are looking more and more like the dummies they are.

      • Joe H.

        Palin12,
Well there was the egg throwing incident!!! What? You say that was from the libbie supporters??? I’ll just be darned!!!

Cohn should look around – the robes and hoods people were started by Democrats according to history. Maybe though the schools will change that in the future when they teach history. Oh, wait… .they don’t teach American History anymore in schools do they?

      • Harold Olsen

Absolutely right The KKK was formed by Democrats. When LBJ pushed through his civil rights legislation, it was the Democrats (his own party) that opposed it and it was the Republicans who supported it. Yet, it’s Republicans who are labeled racists.
