"Rush" To Exit The United States?

“I’ll just tell you this, if this [Obamacare] passes and it’s five years from now and all that stuff gets implemented, I am leaving the country. I’ll go to Costa Rica.” Rush Limbaugh

Dear supporters of Personal Liberty,

Rush is right. Our personal and financial freedoms are threatened now more than ever, and smart people are seriously looking for the best loopholes to escape ObamaNation, including the possibility of leaving the country.

Intrade, the political futures market, now shows that Obama’s Deathcare legislation, with all its huge tax increases and regulations, has a 59 percent chance of passing. That’s scary.

We now enter “Phase II” of the Obama regime, and it will be more dangerous than Phase I (the first year). Obama and his radical Democrats are becoming more radical in Phase II. We survived the first year of the Obama administration without much damage, but now the White House has decided to turn up the heat and go all out to push through Obamacare, his unpopular trillion dollar program of socialized medicine.

This radical measure, on top of sharply higher taxes, closing of legitimate deductions and loopholes, draconian regulations on Wall Street, consumer “protection,” increased union power and multiple attacks on business can spell only one thing: more deficits, slower growth and quagmire on Wall Street.

How to profit? Besides buying gold and silver, you might consider getting some of your money outside the country, or even considering leaving the country. Rush might be on to something.

One of our most popular sessions at FreedomFest last year was on the personal and financial benefits of leaving the country and living abroad. Led by such tax and estate planning experts as Vernon Jacobs and Marshall Langer, the room was packed with people who wanted to know more about the financial and personal benefits of moving abroad (without giving up your citizenship).

After all, more than 3 million Americans have already moved abroad and are saving millions in taxes, and enjoying personal liberty. They’ve moved to Canada, Mexico, Central and South America, the Caribean, Europe and Asia.

Langer, the world’s foremost tax attorney, asked the audience “How many of you want to know about moving to a low tax state such as Florida?” A few hands went up. Then he asked, “How many of you are interested in moving to a foreign tax haven?” Almost every hand went up!

Moving to a foreign tax haven doesn’t mean giving up your U.S. citizenship, although some have taken that drastic step. I personally lived in the Bahamas, a tax haven, for two years without giving up my citizenship and saved a ton of money in taxes. It was life in living color! (For those who want to read my story, Easy Living: My Two Years in the Bahamas, go to www.markskousen.com.)

Good news; we’re going to repeat those special sessions at this year’s FreedomFest. The session, “The Tax and Financial Advantages of Moving Abroad,” will be led by experts Vernon Jacobs, CPA, and Robert Bauman, president of the Sovereign Society (and former US congressman) and a contributor to Personal Liberty Digest.

By attending this year’s World Economic Summit at FreedomFest you can learn specific ways to protect your business and your investments from the unprecedented onslaught of our freedoms. More details can be found at www.freedomfest.com.

Speakers this year will include Steve Forbes (president and chief executive officer of Forbes, editor in chief of Forbes magazine and a former presidential candidate), John Mackey (CEO of Whole Foods Market) and Greg Mortenson (author of the famous book, Three Cups of Tea, and the most admired American in the Middle East).

An incredible number of top financial gurus will also be speaking at this year’s FreedomFest. Back by popular demand is Donald Smith, the New York money manager who has the best track record—an average annualized return of 12 percent a year since 1980—better even than Warren Buffett! His fund was up 65 percent last year.

He is so impressed with FreedomFest that he is bringing 20 of his friends/colleagues with him this year. Now that’s what I call catching the spirit of FreedomFest.

Yours for peace, prosperity, and liberty, AEIOU,

Mark Skousen

It would be great if Rush, Glenn and all the Tea Partiers left the country!

    • Barb

I bet you would just love that wouldn’t you? Well guess what, just like with all the rest of your drug induced dreams, IT AIN’T GONNA HAPPEN! The war is on if Obama pushes that piece of crap through and it will be The People of this great country, the Tea Partiers, the Patriots, the Conservatives, the Libertarians the true Americans, including, Rush, Glenn, Sean, Laura, et al who will take this country back in any way we have to. So maybe you should be checking the flight schedules!

      • Ladybounty

        Strong words…..albeit misguided!
As usual with you “crazies” you’re a day late and a dollar short! Where the hell were you for the past decade when you SHOULD HAVE been fighting and taking back the country?? When you should have been standing up to Bush, Cheney, Rice, and those that almost destroyed the U.S.A??
Why weren’t you fighting then? Why weren’t you stopping Washington
from trompling our Constitution, allowing us to be attacked….did everyone forget that 9/11 happened on Bush’s watch? and from running our economy into the dumper because Bush let his Wall St. bankers do whatever they wanted. If I had done what Bush had done I’d be in prison….bottom line. WAKE UP before it’s too late!

      • Barb

You laugh now but when this is all finished and we have won in more ways than one, we’ll see who is laughing then! We still have the Constitution, the Bill of Rights, GOD, and the Majority of this country on OUR side. We will prevail, the USA is and always will be the greatest FREE Country Under God and Soros, Obama, Pelosi, Reid and all the rest of you will soon figure that out! Like I have said before Ladybounty (I wonder how much you sell for? “Bounty” means payment after all!) you can call us any name you like, Sticks and stones may hurt our bones but names will never hurt us!That’s something that is maybe on your level.

      • John

It would be easier in a dictatorship, just as long as I’m, the dictator.- George W. Bush

I’m the decider- George W. Bush

The Constitution is just a God damned piece of paper – George W. Bush

      • Joe H.

        Barb,
she doesn’t need to sell, she’s on welfare and we’re all already “paying” her!!!!

      • http://personalliberty.com Stillfree

You keep saying that Bush’s policies ran this country into finacial trouble. Check your facts. It was Clinton’s policy changes that “forced” the banking system to drastically lower the requirements to secure a mortgage in order to enable more people to own their own home. When the liberals got control of the House in ’06 they forced even lower standards for mortgage approval. That’s what caused the failure of the financial system!

      • John

absolutely correct, however as most conservatives like to point out, it is the CONGRESS that makes laws. Clinton did sign reform into law but it was the republican congress and senate that sent him the bill to either sign or veto. Clinton being the good CONSERVATIVE that he was, signed it into law.

      • Joe H.

        john,
Thanks!!! I needed a good laugh today!!! CLINTOON CONSERVATIVE???? He was about as conservative as Obummer!!!! He even supports Obummer!! Are you suckin’ on a pipe????

      • John

        Joe consider this,

Conservatives claimed that democrats were soft on drugs. Clinton out did all of his predecessors on the war on drugs he even increased the size of police forces across the country.

Conservatives always supported and pushed for free trade – Clinton passed the most comprehensive free trade package ever introduced.

Conservatives always “claimed” to be the fiscally conservative party – Clinton was the only president in 40 years to make a principal payment against the national debt.

Conservatives have always been for deregulation and Clinton signed a Conservative piece of legislation that deregulated banks into law.

I would argue that Clinton was the best CONSERVATIVE president that we have ever had.

      • Joe H.

        YUP!!! SUCKIN ONH A PIPE!!!!!

      • John

        “YUP!!! SUCKIN ONH A PIPE!!!!!”

Typical brain-dead conservative response when shown wrong……

      • http://www.NRA.com Stephaan

        John;
Clintoon paid that debt down by STEALING MONEY FROM THE SOCIAL SECURITY TRUST FUND! It was never paid back, and never will be. He stole that money from you and I, and every other working American who paid in to the s.s. fund.

Is that your idea of a Clinton accomplishment? Is that how you would do business? That is no different than kiting checks! Eventually the house of cards falls.

That is tantamount to you “stealing” from your grandmother, to pay off your mother in law. How ignorant is that?

      • loren

Hey if you think Bush almost destroyed this country, I guarantee Obama will finish the job.

      • Dude

You are clearly the product of too much media exposure. You might try thinking for yourself for a CHANGE. I HOPE you do.

      • Jana

some people wanted change and now they got or is getting change I did not vote for bomba now the people that did not vote for him will have to suffer too along with all the other junk that he imposes on us we all need to stop paying taxes along with the companies if every one stood together we could do it and get all the funny people out becasue God did not put adam and stever or lucy and sissy together he put Adam and Eve together

    • Norm

      Nancy
How are people going to suffer? Is paying less for better insurance care going to make us suffer?
Put down your bible, turn off hate radio, and get the truth for a change.

      • Frank

        Norm,
If you believe that socialized (nationalized) medicine is going to be better, I’m not sure where you are getting your info. Not trashing your belief here, just doubting the sources you are getting your info from.
If you are getting it from the politicians-ANY politicians I assure you that it is not accurate information. Not saying THEY are lying but their sources are skewed…any time a private industry supplies goods to the US govt it ALWAYS costs more. I know I SAW the markup on prices for 20 years I was in the Military. With the Govt now being the buyer costs are guaranteed to increase. Plus MANY GOVT policies that never existed in the private medical “world” will cost millions to implement for the new “govt employees”.
Health care quality will ultimately rest with the good Doctors and Nurses, however they will have restrictions and their available time will now be reduced.
Its simple math that when you take a medical system that is handling say-100 million and you now put another 200 million into that same system that something has to give.

      • DaveH

        Frank,
Don’t confuse Norm with simple math.

      • Jana

        Nor facts, or truth.

      • Norm

        angel-wanna-be
I’ve worked in the for profit private sector all of my working life. I’ve been in high enough positions to see how the drill works. The name of the game is to make as much money as you possibly can without causing problems that will hurt your reputation or in any way
ruin your ability to compete. Many “competions” are more like “share the spoils” however. There is nothing wrong with this, it’s the way the game is played.
The point is private companys are, by necessity, ruthless. Nice guys don’t surive.
We can’t base our healthcare on unbridled greed. We have been doing it for years and it is a failure.

      • DaveH

Which of these 3 will kill us quickest? Lack of Food, Lack of Shelter, or Lack of Healthcare?

      • Vicki

        lack of shelter

      • Joe H.

        Vicki,
I think in most parts of the U.S. that would be food!!!! In winter time in the north, yes exposure would kill you faster. but in the more moderate climes as in Southern texas or Fla(southern b4 eyes takes on) you could live right on the beach!!! When I was just out of college, I went to Tennesee on a job offer and I spent two months sleeping in a tent type lean to –by choice. I fared quite well. had I not had food for those two months, I would now not be posting to you!!!

      • Vicki

The amusing problem with the question is that as lawyers say “it depends”

Lack of healthcare will kill you quickest if the care you need is say a heart attack.

Lack of food will kill you quickest if you are in good health and living on a desert island. (Or if all the grocery stores can’t get food shipped in. Think Hurricane)

Lack of shelter will kill you quickest if you are in bad weather (flood, hurricane, snow storm etc :) Note shelter includes protection from carnivores should you happen to be where there are lions and tigers and bears (” “)

Since the OP did not specify I chose the one thing that most people would die quickest from in general. You could argue that most people die from lack of healthcare (that heart attack example above) however we are talking about general healthcare and not emergency medicine (There’s that “it depends” problem again :)

As a side note emergency health care is already provided quite well in the US and probably other countries.

        norm
it always amazes me how quick u libs r to call someone a “gun toting bible thumper” with indignation, or a “typical racist southern moron”, or how quick u r to toss aside an apposing point of view simply because it comes from someone who is from the south, or Christian. Meanwhile u spend half ur time accusing us of being biggots.
What exactly does biggot mean to u? Does the definition somehow render u and ur illk innocent by virtue of being the first to make the accusation while losing an arguement?
A biggot is a biggot norm. Before u accuse her of listening to hate speech maybe u should stop writing it. U have no idea what she listens to. U made an assumption based on ur biggotry. What’s more u admitted it to all of us conservatives reading this blog. The libs won’t think u did of course, but if u wish to sway opinion…

  • Norm

Rush’s new medical choice. It is an improvement.

Costa Rica 101. With Rush’s estimitated 30 mil/year income, I’m surprised he’s concerned with healthcare costs in the first place.

        NORM -

MANY – far too many – friends of mine are FED UP with the direction taken by BOTH major political parties — FOR TOO LONG — and are simply “getting out of Dodge City”!

COSTA RICA is the destination of choice for most of them, sight unseen!

  • ACL

Run away like some gutless wonders? What are you smoking? I don’t care to hear that crap, this country belongs to us not the super Morons who are trying to take it away. That’s right, I said “Trying”. You want to let it happen, then don’t fight in anyway but if you want this back again, then prepare to commit to fighting for what is yours. I would rather it be bloodless, but if not—oh well

    • Ferrosynthesis

Promoting the violent overthrow of the American government. That’s treason!

      • DaveH

        Another Hyperbolic Liberal speaks.
        What a doofus.

      • DAVE PHILLIPS in Parowan, UT

        “FERRO…”

ALL legal or naturalized U. S. citizens who care to WIELD THEIR AWESOME POWER AT THE BALLOT BOXES – by showing up on Election Days – is not TREASON!

WHEN WAS THE LAST TIME YOU(!) VOTED?

DO YOU HAVE A VOTING FRANCHISE – and ARE YOU “currently registered” with your County of legal residence?

HOW LONG AGO did you start voting, as legally eligible?

  • DAVE PHILLIPS in Parowan, UT

BEFORE THE “mass exodus” to COSTA RICO as some of my friends have done or are considering, the federal government down there is embroiled in a drug battle similar to that being fought in Mexico.

An alternative is to CHANGE STATES = I left CA for UT last year, after the U.S. Veterans Administration “stopped paying me” as a homeless outreach worker in West Los Angeles hospital – then – two U.S. Postal Service workers in Tehachapi, CA (East Kern County) gave away two months of my personal / business mail to an admitted “unauthorized person”!

The V.A. owes me (a) BACK WAGES; (b) payment for 575 unpaid overtime hours; and (c) damages for “wrongfuyl termination”!

The Post Office debacle took about eight (8) months of “identity theft” issues to resolve with an VERY UN-COOPERATIVE UNION BANK of CA.

With a private investigator [P.I.] helping “a fellow military war veteran” – for the price of one cup of coffee in payment – “Soft computer searches” using my bank ATM card traced the IDENTITY THEFT PERPETRATOR to Provo, UT near the Brigham Young University [BYU] campus!

Maybe a student there!!! WE HAD HIS ADDRESS, LOCAL PHONE NUMBER(s) and the five (5) servers being used for his computer I-D theft!

The CALIFORNIA BANK failed to cooperate – - since “[they] were not harmed” BY MY IDENTITY THEFT ADMITTED – - per their statement.

Then LOCAL [CA or UT] LAW ENFORCEMENT refused to prosecute – since “the chain of evidence was broken” by using a P.I. of my selection — herefore a D-A could not accept any evidence derived, outside D.A. ‘direct control’ == so two states COULD NOT PROSECUTE the IDENTIFIED PERPETRATOR in Utah near the BYU campus!

WHOSE “civil rights” were being protected here?

    CERTAINLY NOT MINE!!

    • Norm

      DAVE PHILLIPS in Parowan, UT

….The V.A. owes me (a) BACK WAGES; (b) payment for 575 unpaid overtime hours; and (c) damages for “wrongfuyl termination”!

You like that good old gravey train! Byte the hand that feeds you. Maybe the Mormons will give you a handout.

      • Onmywayout

Maybe I read this wrong. R u calling the v.a. a gravy train and by way of implication accusing him of sucking off the trough like so many “democrats”?

      • Norm

        Onmywayout
I don’t begrudge the VA. They helped to pay for my college costs. But it is a government program. If your a right wing ding, that’s got to bother you.

      • Onmywayout

I’m just saying that the money the va gives out is well earned, and therefore should not be considered a handout. The way u said it made it sound like u were equating it to things like: “free” med care, a gov “job”, or any of those other welfare programs where people don’t earn what they recieve. I assume since u served u know what I mean. So I guess I’m only questioning ur verbiage.
        Good luck

      • Joe H.

        abnormal,
Have you ever stopped to consider that he could be partially or fully disabled??? If he is, he has earned that money better than ANY money you EVER earned!! So now you can take the crowbar and try to pry your big foot out of your mouth!!!

      • DAVE PHILLIPS in Parowan, UT

NORM – I AM ANGLICAN – not Mormon – IF YOU ‘MUST KNOW’!

FURTHER = I served the US Air FOrce “honorably!!” as a commissioned officer 1962 – 1978 including overseas service on Okinawa, during the LBJ build-up after November, 1964 elections.!

As for your il-timed, snide “biting hand that feeds you” comment — ALL VIETNAM WAR veterans doing homeless outreach for the VA in West Los Angeles were carried “off-the-books” as FEE BASIS WORKERS.

THEREFORE, when applying for CA unemployment benefits “there were NO RECORDS” of any of our employment histories with that West LA V-A! A “class action” may soon follow.

THE V-A in West LA also failed to file with the IRS, SSA and State of CA all required quarterly earnings statements on withholding.

AS A RESULT = NUMEROUS, multi-agency US and CA government investigations — including many Congressional and several Senatorial — as in process as this reply is posted to your ill-informed comment above!

SUGGEST NEXT TIME = Engage brain before entering knee-jerk response!

    • Ferrosynthesis

If we had a progressive government, you would have been protected. The corporation dominated right, however, will never protect you, only the banks.

you seem to miss the fact that he was harmed by GOVERNMENT offices under OBUMMER!!!!!!

      • Onmywayout

The bigger point. He was harmed by govt. offices period. It’s funny how even most libs say that Washington is the problem then turn around and say we need to giv them more power. I’m convinced I’ll understand woman before liberals.

      • DaveH

Let me explain it to you OnMyWay. They want your money. Period. That’s all there is to understand.

      • J C

And by way of securing your money…they are securing your liberty as well.

      • Jana

Now, Onmywayout, women are not hard to understand. Really they aren’t. Just ask any woman.

      • DAVE PHILLIPS in Parowan, UT

TO “ALL THE ABOVE” in your attempts – honestly – to be helpful in ascertaining cause of status quo!

During 1980 and following, when Mister Obama was ONLY age 15(!) at time of Ronald W. Reagan’s First Presidential term = REAGAN offered a “siren call” to unleash the vast private sector – by getting the onus of both Federal and State Government regulations off citizens’ backs!

At the time, most supported him in that goal.

BUT OVER TIME, the inertia of Federal and State governments DESTROYED “the safety-nets” in place “to protect CITIZENS FROM our GOVERNMENTS”!

THAT’s “the REAL mess” which Mister Obama inherited from many prior Democrat and Republican presidential administrations – and both parties’ control of both houses of Congress.

  • Anne

We can learn From men such as these who pretend to lead us but are only arm chair Patriots who will run and hide as cowards..
Call out to those in the media who will lick the boots of thier masters.. They care not about Liberty except if it lines their pocketbooks!

Where have all the real men gone?

But for those who prefer the easy path of compliance, you may continue in your complicity — until total compliance with an oppressive, intrusive beast government is the only option you have left. Under absolute tyranny, non-compliance is not an option.

If ye love wealth better than liberty, the

tranquility of servitude better than the
animating contest of freedom, go home from
us in peace. We ask not your counsels or
arms. Crouch down and lick the hands which
feed you. May your chains set lightly upon
you, and may posterity forget that ye were
    our countrymen.”
Samuel Adams, speech at the Philadelphia State House, August 1, 1776.

  • Ladybounty

WOW from reading some of the b.s. written on here…..all I can say is no wonder we’re all in the mess that we are in.
All of you “crazies” should be shipped off to China as far as I’m concerned. WE don’t NEED you, your twisted logic or even your tax money. GOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO

    • Ellen

ladybounty YOU…GOOOOoooooooooo and do not stop leaving!!

    • loren

Even if you are right in this one assessment, you are not going to escape what is going to happen to you when this all comes down. The patriot act, homeland security, the military commission act of 2006. You need to understand some of these things if you are going to have anything intelligent to say.

    • J C

LB Who’s “we”…you got a mouse in your pocket?

We need to stay and fight, numbers count! This is our country and we don’t want to give it up to those who don’t like it and want to turn us into a 3rd rate nation. Let’s take all of those up for election in Nov. out of office. The vote is ours and they can’t take that away from us….or can they? They may try that down the road so let’s do it soon.

  • Frank

Leave the US (Run away) theres real courage…Anyone wanting to leave I say GO..no loss. One less undecided fool to get in the line of fire.

    • J C

Hey Frank…here’s one of my favorites.

“If ye love wealth greater than liberty, the tranquility of servitude greater than the animating contest for freedom, go home from us in peace. We seek not your counsel, nor your arms. Crouch down and lick the hand that feeds you; and may posterity forget that ye were our countrymen.” ~ Samuel Adams.

    • Onmywayout

      Frank
I haven’t voted for a pub or deamoncrat since Reagan left. I’ve been telling my conservative friends and any liberal with the capacity to listen and understand what I was saying [read, none] that the monopoly the two parties have on the system will eventually lead to it’s downfall. Now we are there and I did what I could to stop it. I fought my fight and lost. Leaving is just a way to cut my losses. I didn’t create this mess I didn’t vote for it and I don’t think my family should have to pay for it. However if it comes down to the kind of revolution people r talking about I’ll b right by ur side.
That being said I just don’t c it happening. People like ladywelfare r so common. People who r too stupid or lazy to make it on their own. People with no desire to truely look at facts and make real informed decisions based on logic. Too many people who “work” for the gov or r recieving some other kind of welfare.
I hear a lot of talk about revolution, but what about the first couple steps. Who’s talking about sweeping congress. Wouldn’t that b a good start? Aside from the tea party and a few other real patriots going to townhall meetings and other events I really don’t c a lot of positive action. The second slaughter and other dems started openly talking about subverting the will of the people we shoulda started the sweeping process. That should have been the last straw, but what happened?…… …… …… These “representatives” r openly talking about subverting the will of the people. I understand how someone like ladywelfare could miss that or not care, but it is the bedrock of everything great this country ever was and where r the conservatives shouting from the rooftops?
Onmywayout is……….but I’ll b watching the news and I promise I’ll b back, and on the right side of the line of fire if (not when) if the time comes.

  • Norm

    To rush:

Don’t let the door hit you in the ass on the way out!!

The medical system in Costa Rica is 100% government run by the way.

    • Barb

Norm I’m going to phrase this so I don’t get into trouble. Why don’t you go to Hades? Good riddance by the way! This applies to Ladybounty as well
you are one CRAZY broad, —- OOPS excuse my French!

      • Ladybounty

Well I gotta consider the source with you , Barb.
That’s not French…it’s typical, debasing, uncalled for… vulgarity. You and those like you have gotten very good at it..
I laugh at you and your obvious ignorance. Everytime somebody with any sense disagrees with “a crazy” THIS type of name calling response is what they get.
You and Rush should leave together……AND SOON! LOL

      • Norm

        Ladybounty
        Well said!

      • Joe H.

Actually bounty, it’s not vulgarity at all. It means wide or SLANG for woman!!! Vulgar no —Slang yes!!!!

      • Barb

My ignorance!?! HA! You are a joke! It’s people like you who make these blogs soooo much fun! You and Norm are a real hoot! If I weren’t so conservative I’d actually feel sorry for both of you but I am Very Conservative and alas, I don’t!

      • Ladybounty

Oh don’t feel sorry for me!! I wouldn’t trade places with you and your “crazy” mentality for all of Rush’s money!
So by your own words here…..you let your political affilliation control how you feel and act toward another human being and I’m the idiot???????!!!???? DUH ENOUGH SAID! have a great day!

      • http://www.secondamendmentfoundation.com Dartanian

        Barb;
“Lady nut case” doesn’t want to trade places with anybody.
She is very satisfied with her welfare check, and taxpayer funded public housing. Why would she want to trade all that for a real job in the real world?
As long as she and the “abnormally Norm” can keep pumping out another illegitimate welfare baby every 9 months, they’re set for life.
She kind of reminds me of the “octomom.

      • Ellen

You fill the world with unkindness ladylove! Why are you so upset and misrable, and full of hate? Go out and plant a flower, you need to enjoy beauty. Your Words are poison.

      • Joe H.

        Ellen,
ME cracking up!! Very well said!!!

      • Jana

        Ellen, too true.

      • DaveH

Ellen, the answer can be seen in Teenagers. They are generally rebellious and angry towards their parents until they leave the house and have to pay their own way. Then magically, almost overnight, they become decent Human Beings.
We could do the same for the Government Dependents. Cut them off the dole (that includes Government Employees) and watch them become respectful Humans once again.

  • Matt

well, that would be a consideration, if worse comes to worse

  • John

People should not be afraid of their Government; the Government should be afraid of their People.

    • Nancy

YES, WE HIRE THEM AND WE PAY THEIR WAGES, AS UNWORTHY AS THEY ARE!! WE CAN FIRE THEM AND WE NEED TO DO SO. ALL OF THEM, THE BUNCH OF DUMB-DUMBS.
THEY SEEM TO FORGET THAT THE MINUTE THEY GET HIRED.

      • http://www.americairemember,com angel-wanna-be

NANCY, NAHHH, THESE POLITICIANS KNOW WHAT THEIR DOING AND THEY’RE PRETTY SMART__THEY CAMPAIGN ON ONE SET OF VALUES THE ONES, THEY THINK THE PEOPLE WANT TO HEAR, AND THEN DO A 360 AFTER THEY’RE ELECTED__NANNY NANNY FOO FOO POLITICS___FACE IT, YA CAN’T NOW AND NEVER COULD TRUST WASHINGTON, PERIOD!
        GOD BLESS AMERICA

    • Ellen

Now we are talking!! The government SHOULD be afraid of the people. The people are their Employer, it is our money NOT theirs. Only I am scared of people like lady(whoever) thats REAL TROUBLE!

    • Dude

(Thumbs up) Thomas Jefferson put it like this, “When governments fear the people, there is liberty. When people fear the government, there is tyranny.” I think he’s my favorite American historical figure.

  • robert clarke

Run baby run……no way. I’m not bailing out! If your any kind of an American you’ll stay and fight! If you run away we’ll be better off with out you!

    • Ladybounty

Are you kidding?? The time for fighting was during the reign of terror of the George W. Bush administration! Where were YOU then??
WHY didn’t YOU and those like YOU stop him from putting us all in this huge hole? I’m here to tell you that the time for fighting the government is over buddy. We ALL need to get behind this guy and TRY to pull this country out of the MESS together before it is truly too late for us and our kids. WHY you don’t see it is beyond me BUT PLEASE…..leave if you want. I’ll help you leave…..THAT would be much better than all this crazy business and blaming the wrong guy for all our problems and woes. People like YOU are what got this country in this mess to begin with. Denial….denial……denial…..is frightening!!

      • Cribster

Liberals are sad/serious/angry and generally misreable. They are also prone to violence, judging by your posts you’re getting close!

      • Nancy

Honey, this man can’t pull himself together, how in the world can he pull an entire country together?
As for “Where was I” in the Bush years? Voting for Bush…

      • Joe H.

        Nancy,
I just figured it out!!! bounty works for Obummer!!!! Or she just started her welfare!!! Of course things are better for HER!!!!

      • Jana

        JoeH, That makes sense.
She asks where were we in the Bush years. I was writing letters and calling on a lot of things that I thought were wrong.
I do think this woman works for Obama or is getting welfare, yep, ergo her name bounty.
She is the blind leading the blind.

      • Joe H.

        Jana,
with Dems that would be the blind leading the deaf!!!!!

      • mark

Let’s not forget that the democrats have controlled congress since 2006

      • John

let’s not forget the republicans controlled BOTH the senate and congress for 12 years with a republican president for 6 of those years.
Lets not forget Reagan QUADRUPLED the national debt and Bush DOUBLED that!

      • Joe H.

        john,
and let’s not forget that Obummer has spent more money than any sittin g president!!!!

      • John

        “john,
and let’s not forget that Obummer has spent more money than any sittin g president!!!!”

Yes he has – 1.5 trillion for GWB in 2008 and 1.6 trillion for Obama in 2009.

Simple term you “might” be able to understand.
GWB took a balanced budget and turned it into a 800 billion deficit.
Obama took has only added 100 billion more to the deficit he inherited. So looking at it historically – Obama is 800% more fiscally conservative than Bush.
Don’t believe my numbers do your own research PLEASE!
        http://www.treasurydirect.gov/NP/BPDLogin?application=np

      • Joe H.

Oh,I believe your numbers, sure I do. Let’s see, who was in control of the houses at that time? I just can’t seem to remember…. who was it/ No don’t tell me it’s right on the tip……… Oh yeah, the dems!!!!

      • Sully

Obviously none of the posters here are students of history. Our country’s depression to a ‘welfare’ state began almost 100 years ago with Pres. Wilson. The welfare was extended by FDR and has continued to degrade our society ever since. We have become an ‘entitlement’ society expecting the governemnt to take care of us. Consequently, the uninformed and uneducated public is content to simply take the government ‘handouts’ and follow along in lock-step. Each president has done his own damage to the American Dream of prosperity by hard work. President Obama is simply speeding up the process toward total socialism where everyone is forced to depend upon the government for sustenance. Our only salvation is to impeach and vote out the socialists.

      • Jana

Sully, you said it all and very well too.

      • Onmywayout

I’m leaving. Thanks for the offer of help I’ll take u up on it. What r u willing to do? I didn’t vote for b.o., bush, or clinton (the man who forced banks to give loans to people who couldn’t afford them, while pushing for free trade which cost those people their jobs, and while allowing the dismanteling of “glass-steigle”. Oh yea…it’s bush’s fault). Whatever… u wanna let ur partisen views blind u from seeing the obviouse and lead to the loss of the country that gave u and the rest of us an incredible way of life for a veeeery long time then do. Meanwhile I’m moving on before that too becomes illegal. Please respond with the manner in which u wish to help. I could use someone to do some research and some paperwork as well. Whichever u choose is fine.

      • DaveH

Don’t hold your breath OnMyWay, Liberals are all talk.
They will promise you anything but deliver nothing.

      • Dude

Are you being some sort of ironic…? If you think Obama is good for your kids you got another thing coming.. he’s not only bad for your kids, but your kid’s kids who have yet to be born.

  • Ladybounty

I would pay Rush Limbaugh to leave the U.S.A! Perhaps then the GOP would STOP paying any attention to him. But you’ll never see it happen. Anyplace else in the world he would be considered exactly what he is…”A NOBODY” Everything is just entertainment and the bottom line is the almightly dollar with him. Why would he leave such a lucrative business here to go someplace where no one would listen to him? It’s pretty sad when prejudiced, lying, sensationalists like him can become millionaires and have so much influence on our way of government and officials. WAKE UP AMERICA!! before it is truly too late for the Republican party.
In this uncertain, volatile world, why would ANYONE leave the safety and protection of the United States to basically set themselves up to be attacked someway, shape or form by leaving?
I’m sooooooo sick and tired of the right-wing, extremist crazies and WISH that they would all leave but I’m sure that’s NEVER going happen. Most are just all mouth and talk like RUSH and no real action!!!

    • Nancy

Rush is SOMEBODY every where. He is the MAN! Perhaps if more true conservitives listened to him and do what he says, we would not be in the mess we are in. And as far a getting rich at what he does, so what!! Hollywood gets rich for being for being trashy and no one says any thing about that. Let him be rich, he works for it.
We don’t need a republican party, we need a real true CONSERVITIVE party. Some one who believes what the constitution says and stands firmly for it.

      • Ladybounty

hmmmmmmmmm excuse me BUT Rush is an entertainer……NOT a politician! He does it ALL for the MONEY! He lies and manipulates the truth in hopes that some like you believe him and listen to him so that he can make MONEY. Otherwise….. I ask you……WHY wouldn’t he REALLY get out there in the middle of politics and REALLY do something to make a difference instead of just spouting off, like you on here….day after day after day? It’s the almightly dollar that he REALLY cares about….NOT you or this country really for that matter.
OPEN YOUR EYES! WAKE UP! IF this president fails….. WE ALL FAIL.
If we can’t get this country back on the right track….EVERYONE WILL SUFFER. This president needs to undo EVERYTHING that George W. Bush did……and fast! After almost a decade of you and those like you allowing Bush to almost destroy us…..who do you think has got to pay to fix this mess? ALL OF US HAVE TO PAY. You crazies just keep screaming because YOU don’t want to take responsibility for what YOU let happen. GET OVER YOURSELF and GET YOUR CRAP TOGETHER and DO SOMETHING TO HELP INSTEAD OF THIS! WOW

      • Jerry Mobley

        Ladybounty;
obama has already failed, name me one thing that is better today then it was a year ago!!! Other then the bankers are much richer along with wall street, which I do not consider better.

      • Ladybounty

        Jerry.,…..Jerry…..Jerry……
YOU need to get YOUR facts STRAIGHT! You can’t twist the truth ok?

Bush orchestrated the Wall St. /Bank bailout…..with no rules and regulations….sooooo the bankers went crazy and bought themselves new airplanes and gave themselves HUGE bonuses with OUR MONEY!
Obama had no choice but to come up with the second half of BUSH’S BAILOUT for Wall St….at least he made them get rid of the planes and stop the bonuses for a short time. WHY DO YOU CONTINUALLY BLAME THIS PRESIDENT FOR BUSH’S actions?
It’s hard on here to have intelligent, thoughtful convos with those like you because you do not care about the TRUTH or the FACTS.
Try and you may…..you cannot change what really happened.
        Goooooo look it up, Jerry.

AS for what has gotten better… I don’t know where you live BUT around here things have gotten a little better. Do you really expect Obama to fix 8+ years of mess in 1 short year??? GET REAL and WAKE UP! You’re not only hurting yourself with your misguided mentality BUT you are hurting me and my kids and their kids too. The time has long come and gone to put the blame where it truly belongs….on George W. Bush and YES we will be feeling repercussions from his decisions and acts for a long…longgggggggggggg time.
The more you and those like you don’t learn the facts and the truth and keep fighting this “mysterious” government” that caused all of this mess and all of a sudden has taken over everything……the longer it is going to take for us to recover…..don’t you see that?
DEREGULATION….laws and rules that were put in place to protect us….our investments…..our economy……our life……being REMOVED are WHAT caused ALL OF THIS.
Your mentality is one of the reasons WHY we keep repeating the same self-destructive behavior over and over and over again.
Until those like you wake up…..we will never learn.

      • Joe H.

        bounty,
you say things are better where you are. In what way? are your area schools better? Is your economy better? Are the jobs prospects better?
If so, yours is one of VERY FEW that are!!! Most are worse and worse!!!

      • Jana

bounty, You want to spout your hatred for common sense go ahead. You have to live in your hate filled world. So sad that you can’t see past the nose on your face. You wouldn’t know the truth if it hit you.

You will be the first to complain (right along with the rest of us) if this Pres. succeeds as he is determined to raise our taxes and control your decisions on your own health.

In this HCB there is a provision for hiring 12,000 more IRS agents. Now why do you suppose that will be? Not to give us refunds, but to make sure we all pay MORE TAXES.

      • loren

Ladybounty, talk about getting your facts right, Wow, where do I start? You need to know that our government is a fraud. Understand the word fraud don’t you? We are controlled by the Fed Bank through the bank of international settlements in Switzerland. Ben Bernanke is the head of the fed bank here and is on the board of directors of the bank of international settlements as well. These banks do not answer to any governing body and can not be prosecuted. Our money is fiat and is worthless. We have to pay for the privilege of using this money with income tax. Everything you have ever purchased with this money belongs to the fed bank. You own NOTHING. If you bought a house you better look at your deed again and read where it says you are the tenant not the owner. Your whole world of reality is a con, a fraud, a hoax. You are being controlled on so many fronts it is hard to know where to begin with you. You are living one big lie. It is you who needs to get the facts right.

      • Claire

Ladybounty–I voted for both Bushes. However, I cannot place the blame entirely on them. This economic mess started years ago and has steadily become worse with each administration that was voted into office. In a sense we have learned by trial and error. None of us know what a politician will do and become once they are elected. It is a crap shoot. The luck of the draw. Put them in a sack, shake it up, and they all come out alike.

      • Dude

Exactly, if anything, Bush was too liberal (half-failure) and we all suffered as a result. Obama is a raging “progressive” ideologist, our suffering has just begun.

      • DaveH

He lies and manipulates the truth? Maybe that’s where Obama learned it:
        http://www.sodahead.com/fun/obama-lies-and-broken-promises/blog-178999/

      • Jana

DaveH, Obama has been lying for a long time, he is too accomplished at it.

      • Joe H.

        Bounty,
For a nobody, he sure makes a lot of money doing it!!!!
what about Sorass money???? What about Plousy’s money??? What about Bawny Fwanks money???? All politicians that spend more in one month than you make in five years, hell maybe ten years considering Plousy’s booze bill. At the taxpayers expense, I might add!!!!

      • Vicki

Ladybounty, Impressive. Ad hominium attacks, proof by bald assertion, Yelling. you are a debate wizzard. Do you have any sustainable points?

      • Claire

Yes, we do need a “True Conservative Party.” And as far as I am concerned, the true Conservative Party I would love to be a part of does not include people like Rush, etc. True Conservatives are/should be true only to the righteousness of American government, and to themselves. I will find out my own facts, do my own research, I will not listen to paid entertainers. I will not spend my money to see any of their so-called shows, etc.

      • Joe H.

        From Illinois???

      • Claire

Joe H–Yes, from Illinois. I just about croaked when I saw that other post from someone with the same name as myself!!

    • Ellen

ladybounty you are a poor sick misquided one!

    • Onmywayout

U don’t really wish they would leave. Who would pay the bills?

    • Southside Tommy

Ladybounty, you can not have it both ways. Either Bush was a drooling simpleton or a scheming, diabolical, evil genious. Oh, by the way, the deficit was shrinking until Pelosi and company took over congress. Money is the crack of the DEMOCRATS. As for the lies Bush told; he was merely repeating the WMD mantra of all of the relevant Dems, especially Ded Kennedy. Take your medication on a regular basis;the mind fog will clear! Or maybe you truly believe in the articulate idiot. Community organizer=communist agitater. As a Chicago ex-Dem I and we Chicagoans know that BHO’s mentor and the state senate seat he was elected to was held by Illinois’ only elected communist[Sen. Palmer] LOOK IT UP!

  • Sherwin Start

Our Political System is in Total Failure!
Like I have stated numerous times before the Office of the Presidentcy has FAR TOO MUCH Authority over EVERYTHING in this Country!
We are in fact living in a “Socialized Dictatorship”!!
Whoes to Blame for this,BOth Sides of the Aisle in BOTH the House and the Senate of The US Congress! Our Elected Representatives Have Lost Sight of the the Basic Principles that this Nation was Founded upon and in the Process Between them and the US Supreme Court Have Literally Nullified and rewritten their own version of this Countrys Constitution!
On one Hand the White House is “DIRECTING” our Congress to do its Bidding-This is EXACTLY OPPOSITE Of the Mandates set forth In our Constuttion.”The Tail is Wagging the Dog”!!
Second Our Country is Now for all intensive Purposes a “Socialist Country” instead a Democracy especially when one Party, The Democratic Majority Places a Virtual “Stranglehold ” around the Neck of the US Citizens!!
No wonder People are leaving this country by the Millions and I predict the Mass Exodus will excellerate!!

  • Doc Sarvis

Some American he is, wouldn’t fight for his country and then grows up to undermine it. I thought he said we have the best health care in the world. Anyway, fine for him. He can afford anything he wants. Most of us can’t afford the way health care is now. With this new bill if prices don’t come down at least they will not continue to spiral upward – and most of us will finally be covered – and without the fear of being kicked out of a plan.

    • George S. Saliga

Excuse me but lets see what you are saying, you need to first find out what is causing the upsurge in health care/health insurance cost. Medicare and Medicade pays approx 43% of claim, who do you think pays the other 57%, that’s right we who are paying to the nose for our own health care, this government run health care at its finest! Medicade is free to the recipient. The stats show habitually abuse of the system called overutilization which dramatically increase cost to you and me. Medicare is not as bad as seniors have paid into the system and most have medicare supplement to cover what medicare dosen’t cover at a fraction of major medical insurance, this still causes overutilization. Obamacare the majority will have free coverage, and all those smart people that think the CBO numbers are anythig but smoke and mirrors are smoking gonja. Cost will be off the charts and the indication is here right now, you are seeing companies rising premiums in the lite of the auful fact that this obamacare might get passed? If you want to see the collapse of health care support obamacare, we need real health care reform one that will lower the cost. This is what we all need but when you have the President up their giving more campaign speeches filled with lies and real tear jurking stories but distorts the truth we are in trouble. Sadly I believe revolution maybe the only answer, my dad shed blood for this country I guess my time is coming.

      • DaveH

You are wasting you time, George, trying to talk logically to Doc. He will just scan your comment and then give some off-the-wall unrelated response to it.
But keep up the good work.

      • Jana

Whoops, DaveH was right. Doc did exactly like you said he would. See comments below.

      • Doc Sarvis

Companies are raising premiums now because they see that the golden years of sticking it to people and making them pay ever rising rates are about over. I for one, also think it is good to help those who can’t make it for some time on their own. Charity is a good thing and it is not happening in the private sector to match the need. We are the richest nation, or thereabouts. We should be able to help those in need even though, I know there is some overuse.

      • Warrior

I gotta tell ya doc, blaming insurance companies for the cost of health care is akin to blaming gas stations for the cost of gas. You follow that farce of a leader and his useless cadre of elitist, who want to portray any American who disagrees as a Nazi, you keep goin.
The attitude these communists have displayed towards the American people and business is repulsive and I’m attempting to be as civil as I can in response.

      • Doc Sarvis

I neglected to include the pharmacutical companies with the insurance companies as the major factors in increased health care costs.

      • DaveH

Well then, Doc, since your heart is so large why don’t you team up with your like-minded Liberal buddies and start your own Health Insurance companies and Healthcare Provider companies? You should have no problems since you Liberals are of Superior Intelligence. Then you could give your services away to all that are in need.
Put your money where your mouth is. Anybody can talk.

      • Doc Sarvis

I don’t have that much money.

      • George S. Saliga

Sorry I am so late to reply, Doc, you need to look at what you are saying again. Don’t you understand that if insurance companies don’t make a profit they can’t pay your claims! Insurance companies can’t print money like the feds, and by the way your are only looking at a 3-4% profit for insurance companies. If health insurance companies are stealing from us they are not very good at it. Government is the problem not the answer. But what a great country we live in the ability to decent without being put in prison.

      • Norm

        George S. Saliga
A 3% to 4% profit isn’t bad when all your head hunchos are making 2-30 million dollar a year paychecks, plus benies. More than 33% of all premiums never go to healthcare.

      • DaveH

If you think the overhead for Insurance companies is bad, Norm, wait until the Government takes over.

      • Mona

I think some of these people are sticking it to the Insurance companies. They keep going to doctors for every little thing and some live on medicines that cost over a thousand a month. A healthier life style could have kept them off so much medicine. Some of these people just use doctors so they can get attention. Doctors hand out medicines with side effects and people keep taking them. Then they take medicines for the side effects. My aunt told the doctor that he could write the prescriptions but she wouldn’t take them. He told her that most patients expect a prescription. I told a nurse that I didn’t want any prescriptions and she said I wouldn’t take them either. If the patients want them, I give it to them. Doctors have to have expensive insurance because stupid jurors will award people millions of dollars when they don’t deserve it. We have to make up the difference for illegals and people that just won’t buy insurance. These people would rather take vacations and let us pay for it. I’m sure there are lots more reasons we pay so much. If anyone thinks we won’t pay more in taxes for all of this, they are going to be surprised. Some doctors are going to quit. Less doctors and more patients waiting in line. I hope all you clueless liberals enjoy it. If a lot of the rich leave, someone will have to make up for the taxes they paid. Guess who?

      • Weelie Mom

Thank you for saying something right. The issue comes down to ethics. NO One has any! I don’t normally read all these arguements but the theme in all of them is ethics. You just can’t blame one thing, or one person. People want something for nothing. Americans use to understand the concept of “working hard”. Insurance is no different. I have been disabled almost 24 yrs and I have seen it all. Everyone cheets everyone including Joe Blow on the street that calls 911 for a hang-nail. Someone is always going to try and abuse the system. This of course hurts everyone.

      • JB1248

We are not the riches country any more! We are bankrupt!!!!!!

      • John

First off I agree – don’t believe anything the government tells you – from EITHER party.

However there is one part of the health care debate that no one seems to mention. YOU ALREADY pay for those indigents that have no health care. It is LAW that emergency rooms can turn no one away. So an illegal immigrant goes to the emergency room for a bad case of flu and the hospital has to swallow it. RIIIGHT… guess what, they pass it on to your insurance. I do not have any numbers but it sure seems that there would be a lot on money to be saved by having clinics to handle theses kind of situations.

      • Jana

John, it doesn’t matter who we have to pay for right now, it is the fact that we DO NOT WANT GOVERNMENT TAKEOVER!
This bill also has attached to it that our kids must get their college loans straight from the gov.’t too. This is no longer THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA we are quickly becoming the Communist States of America.
When this happens they can then regulate who gets to goes to college, and what college they get to attend.

There are better ideas out there than having the gov.’t take over health care. The gov.’t doesn’t have a good reputation for saving money or doing things economically, all it does is GROW.

    • DaveH
    • Joe H.

      Doc,
      Where did YOU serve???

      • http://www.NRA.com Stephaan

Doc served with A.C.O.R.N. when he was doing the “community service” portion of his jail time.

      • Joe H.

        Stephaan,
        I think you nailed it!!!
CARE TO ARGUE THE POINT DOC?????

      • Joe H.

        Doc,
I’m still waiting for an answer!!!!! where did you serve?????

    • Onmywayout

Has the cost of ANYTHING the gov. controls not spirals out of control? Anything at all? Please give me one example of an entitlement program with costs that haven’t spiraled out of control.

      • Jana

        Onmywayout,
        There just isn’t any.

By the time they hire an administrator, and he has to have five assistants, and they each have to have three assistants and they all have to have a personal secretary, then they all have to have people under them, we already have spiraling costs that are out of control. All they have figured out right now is how much they estimate the HCB to cost, but they haven’t factored in the Gov.’t employees that its going to take to run these programs.

Have they factored in the costs of the 12,000 IRS workers too? Hmmm, they are not going to be hired for fun and games, they are needed to levy more taxes ON US.

      • J C

A standing army of tax collectors. Exactly what Jefferson advocated against.

    • http://Don'thaveone Sally

Yeah Doc – everyone might be covered for what if you don’t have a Dr or hospital that will take you – what good is coverage. What good is coverage if you have to wait six months to get an appointment? I know first hand what the Canadian healthcare was like, and you just died if you had a bad disease like cancer that spread quickly. We all before this bill was passed had coverage one way or the other. Either you had insurance, medicare, or medicade to cover or you had the money to pay for services rendered which by the way you receive a 40% discount by paying cash. The poor that didn’t have Medicade, just went to the emergency room and got treated – it was that simple.

  • http://www.easyinvest.co.za pete

Just remember everyone – when the bubble bursts and it sure is going to, there will not be anywhere to go anymore, so the real solution lies in stopping these morons before the matter gets worse.

Prevention is better than treatment every time!

Get them out before they declare war on you!

They will militarize, subjugate and put you all in servitude. I was always under the impression that government was there for the people and not the other way round – what a nit I am!

    • Ladybounty

Hey Pete….I’m sure that you’re talking about the “GEORGE W. BUSH BUBBLE of deceit, lies, unfounded wars, tax breaks for the richest, and on and on and on! Well, I’m here to tell you that THAT BUBBLE BURST in NOVEMBER of 2009. NOW the idiots in this country need to wake up and realize it. The years after years of economic damage ARE NOT the fault or responsibility of this President. WHY those who let George W. basically destroy this country DO NOT SEE THAT is wayyyyyy beyond my comprehension and I have given up trying to understand their mis-guided viewpoints.
Democracy and government should NOT be controlled by or based on radical, extremist views and actions. It’s never worked and never will. Majority ruled and hopefully WILL ALWAYS! hmmmmm that is unless the GOP can figure out a way to get rid of that too!

      • Nancy

        WHO ARE YOU ANYWAY!!??

      • Strawberry Shortcake

Ladybounty, you speak with such ignorant confidence. People like you are the problem. I don’t think many of the regulars on this forum will dispute Bush’s role, but it goes on back the line sweetheart. Bush was just another piece of the machine. So since you are so busy blaming Bush I am assuming you feel Obama and his Congress thugs are doing a bang-up job??? Please do-tell.

      • Ladybounty

After reading all the crap on here, you say that I speak with ignorance? Well, that would be funny if it wasn’t so sad and frightening.
George W. Bush’s ROLE?? You act as though he played a small part in a play or something. How about this…….the WHOLE PLAN that George W. Bush orchestrated and implemented caused this mess??
At least THIS GUY is DOING SOMETHING!
Imagine if you will..that Bush stole another election and got in for a third time somehow……WHO WOULD BE DOING ANYTHING TO FIX THIS THEN?

        You are scary!

      • Vicki

If you bothered to provide links or cites to back up your assertions you would be more believable. As it stands you make grand claims about Bush and how the dumb pres managed to hoodwink so many smart people but provide no examples or proofs of this claim.

I am still amused at how so many “liberals” claim at the same time that bush was dumb as a bush but still managed to do so many “evil” things.

      • Joe H.

        Ladybounty,
If majority rules then why is this bill being passed/ 68% of the people don’t want it and 75% want them to start over from scratch!!!! When I was in school, 68% and 75% were both majority!!! Gee I guess you are just another liberal shill with a “bounty” of lies!!!

      • Jana

        ladybounty,
You are the scary one. You sound like you don’t know who is President now, and who is causing problems in the here and now. WAKE UP!!

        You are wrong.

      • loren

Hey ladybounty, Hope you are able to make ends meet with your body, because that is what happens all over the world when the women have nowhere and no men to protect them against this kind of destruction

      • Claire

Ladybounty–Maybe you had better read the health reform bill.

      • J C

Ok look, another Obama apologist deriding Bush. What a waste of air…riding the red/blue see-saw is a dead end at best.
The whole damned system needs to be returned to the original Constitution and all these crooks (red and blue) jailed.

      • Ray

Shortcake; The reason that we are in this mess is because of the Bushes. What’s happening today is the culmination of 12 years of Bush 1 and 2 policies and catering to the wishs of wall street.

      • Jerry Mobley

        Ladybounty,
The democratic party (obama, reid, pelosi) is now the communist party. They want the government to control your every move. They want you to have no individual freedom. They want you to forget about the Constitution of the United States of America. They want you to be in servitude to them. They want to CONTROL your life from the cradle to the grave and also my life, you can give them yours if you wish but you can’t give them mine.

      • DaveH

        LadyBounty,
First of all, I’m not a Bush supporter, but what Deceit? I’ll show you mine if you show me yours:
        http://www.sodahead.com/fun/obama-lies-and-broken-promises/blog-178999/
Bush is no longer President, get over it!

And tax breaks for the Richest? The top 1% of wage earners pay 40% of the Income Taxes. You call that a break? The bottom 50% of the wage earners pay only 3% of the Income Taxes. You call that their fair share? And that bottom 50% of non-payers expect the Government to do things their way?

As usual, the Liberals can only post unsupported facts and personal attacks.

      • John

according to the US Gov the top 1% pay 33% of the taxes but own 50% of the total wealth in the USA. Sounds like a break to me……

      • Joe H.

        john,
Why, because they were smarter than you and did something with their money??? sounds like jelousy to me!!!!

      • blackhat

True the rich make more money than you John. So I guess that we should all pay one third of our income…or, are you looking at this differently? If you make $10 a week and “they” make $100 a week, you should pay 2.5% (a quarter) and “they” should pay 33% ($33). So, “they” would actually be paying 132 times the amount you are paying. Or, are you just whining that “they” have a hundred square feet more floorspace in their homes, that “they” have a newer car, or “they” can eat out more often than you? Tell me John, what exactly are you complaining about?

      • DaveH

John, the top 1% pay 40% of the Income Taxes.
        http://www.ntu.org/tax-basics/who-pays-income-taxes.html

And there are people all over the world whose incomes would make you look like a rich man. Should you be brought to parity with them?

Put away those green-colored glasses, John, the Politics of Envy never results in good outcomes.

      • DaveH

And of course they own more, because they don’t spend all their money as fast as they earn it like the poor do. They invest in companies and capital goods, which make our economy what it is. Without their money and knowledge our economy would go into the tank, and most of us would be wanting for jobs.

      • CJ

The top 1% get CREDIT for paying the tax, but they just pass it down the line. They’re not dumb enough to take the hit themselves. That’s why they make the money. I’m glad they do, otherwise I wouldn’t have a job. The bottom of the economy always suffers the tax, in the form of higher cost of goods. It’s basic economics. So, lowering tax on the rich is good for everybody!

      • Norm

Some of these guys are smart and talented and do great things for the country and that benefits all of us. On the other hand, most are decendents of people who made a lot of money by hook or crook or s–t luck. Money begets money. I’m an investor, and I do well. But I never forget that this is money made off of the backs of hard working people(and some not so hard working).

      • DaveH

        Norm,
Those Hard Workers don’t have to work for anybody they don’t want to work for. At least not yet. If you Liberals have your way it might come to that.
The only thing stopping those hard workers from starting their own business is Government with the ridiculous Licensing requirements and other meddling rules which prevent competition.
So, if indeed, they are being taken advantage of, you are looking in the wrong direction, as it is Government that is taking advantage of them. And you want more of it!

      • Joe H.

        DaveH,
I noticed that he didn’t say he felt bad about taking profit from those investments, nor is he giving them back!!!!

      • John

WOW hit a sore spot with a simple comment. first off JOE and DAVEH, I am in that top 1% very bottom of it, but still there, so your comments show your prejudiced ignorance.

Do I want to pay more taxes – hell no. However, Reagan and Bush both proved that trickle down does not work – the only thing it does is add to the national debt. Which yes, you WILL have to pay back one way or another. If you want to admit it or not Cutting taxes is the SAME THING as increasing Government spending, probably worse because it forces the government to borrow from the Chinese.

The more you make the more you can afford. My solution, count ALL forms of income as income, interest, dividends, capital gains, and then eliminate all loopholes and sneaky additions (AMT) to income then do a modified flat tax. Three tax brackets, you make XX send in X.

      • blackhat

You are so right John! Trickle down was terrible for the country! Let’s see…hmmm…Eighteen months after Regan cut taxes, actual receipts to the govt doubled, unemployment was cut by 2/3…yeah, that pesky policy was a failure alright. Now, oman has dumped billions into the economy and will raise taxes next year. So, far there has not been any real movement in the jobless rate, but investments have gone down sharply. The best govt estimates say that receipts will go down sharply next year and unemployment will stay high for three more years. But, we should give oman another 6 months, right? Somehow, I do not see it getting better…

      • Jana

Yes, blackhat, like we can really believe John is what he claims.

      • http://personalliberty.com Stillfree

Ladybounty. If, as you say, Bush’s policies crippled this country with uncontrolled spending etc, then the horrendous spending of obama and crew will surely destroy what’s left of this country! Obama and crew have spent more in the 1st year than the combined total spending of all previous presidents from George Washington thru and including George W. Bush. Next, obama plans to spend TRILLIONS more in the following years. And, if that isn’t enough to “frost your cake”, you most likely are unaware that every “Entitlement Program” created by the government costs more than the initial estimates by a factor of 2 to 11 times. This fact alone demonstrates that this country cannot afford the outrageous programs of this administration. IF we could Freeze All Govt Spending AND Every Citizen & Business could continue to earn at their present income level and EVERY LAST DIME THAT EVERYONE EARNED WAS USED TO PAY OFF THE NATIONAL DEBT, IT WOULD TAKE NEARLY FIVE YEARS TO PAY OFF THE CURRENT DEBT!!!!! Now, please explain to all of us “unbelievers in this administration” how obama’s programs are HELPING ANYONE.
        Enlighten us all. Please.

      • John

Please do some research for your self and don’t believe the numbers that you are fed. Go to the treasury web page and check how much the nation debt went up by year. The debt in 2008, GWB’s last year, the debt went up 1.5 TRILLION. Obama’s first year the debt went up by 1.6 Trillion. Sounds like Obama is doing nothing more than spending like republican!

      • Strawberry Shortcake

Spoken like a liberal, so because the “republicans did it” it makes it okay for the other party to as well…what’s that saying…ohhhh yeah,

“two wrongs don’t make a right.”

        Good answer John.

      • John

shortcakes – I never said two wrongs make a right. One of the biggest problems that I had with GWB and the republicans was the national debt!!
However the conservative crowd never even raised an eyebrow at the debt, at least not until Obama became president. Now because Obama is spending as much as his republican predecessors did – conservatives are running around like chicken little. I am just pointing out the inconsistencies in conservative thought.
The whole mess is the American voters fault! Who would vote for ANY politician that told the truth and said we have to raise taxes, cut benefits and quit playing the worlds policeman?

      • CJ

John, get smart. The national debt is overrun by the Fed, which is not under the control of the president. They just print more money when they think spending needs stimulation.

      • Strawberry Shortcake

Okay John, my point is this…the blame game is over. The problem collectively is government and it’s been going on for decades with very few “reprieves.” Yes, the people to a point. We haven’t been paying enough attention and have allowed many of our rights to be stolen right out from under our noses. Republicans and Democrats alike have all been playing the same game, some more sinisterly than others…or shall I say, “progressively” than others. None of that matters now. The system is corrupt and I don’t see much changing, sadly even in November because people are still pointing fingers back and forth at the opposite party…people like Ladybounty. NOTHING will get any better if we remain in that mindset, all we are doing is wasting time. Obama has done NOTHING for the good of this country and he doesn’t intend to because he’s there to finish the job. Like they said, they think this whole thing is a trojan horse, but the horse is right there in broad view. They DON’T care. They are doing THEIR will. If they manage to get away with this, I promise you, it won’t matter who started it.

      • Ray

Let me remind you that the 2nd Bush enter into an undeclared war that siphoned billions out of the US Treasury, then in September ’08 with the market meltdown -Bush along with Hank Paulson approved $700 billions in bailout to Wall street and the auto industry.

The new president comes into office with a trillion dollar debt that he did not create.

For the people that’s out of work due to no fault of thier own maybe he shouldn’t have extended unemployment claims or maybe he shouldn’t have released the balance of the TARP money to the automakers and wall street.

Oh, but GM looks like they may survive now – but with your way of thinking that’s not good. Just throw away the few remaining auto jobs left in the country.

And let the Wall street bankers get thier fat bonuses for screwing the country.

      • Ellen

        Your IQ is showing honey!

      • MW

The U.S. is not, I repeat is not a democracy!!!!! This nation is a constitutional republic. The difference between the two is analogous to day & night. It seems to me the Ladybounty is another wonderful product of our public school system. Her rhetoric & command of the written English language is truly indicative of her psuedo education.
It’s highly unlikely that LB knows anything about the U.S.Constitution, too!

      • FreeAmericans

Norman, your are correct. We need to get a backbone and stand up for America before it’s too late before we end up without any rights. The Constitution will no longer be valid. People stand together, fight this corruption. Take our country back. If everyone of us speaks up, calls Washington to remind them we have the power, we can stop this. If we don’t, they will continue to take total control of our lives forever.

  • James

Sounds like the perfect plan, leave the country to live in real socialist countries! Brilliant! Don’t let the door hit you on the way out! Rush, going to Costa Rica for socialized medicine to escape socialized medicine…. “stupid is as stupid does.”

    • EDGEWATERVINCE

      RIGHT ON

    • Joe H.

      James,
what youy don’t get is that it’s a protest to what they are doing to our once great nation!!! He would rather travel to another country than give worth to this illegal scheme!!!

      • James

Joe H., I didn’t make that comment, see just below. I should think that if one doesn’t like what is happening to his country, he would fight to the death, if necessary, to save it – not leave it.

    • James

I am the ‘James’ who made the comments above this. I did not make this one. There two James’ again.

    • http://Don'thaveone Sally

I can see from your stupid comments you have no understanding about Costa Rica which I am glad. Anyone can go there and get first quality healthcare = their hospitals are top of the line even more uptodate that ours, Dr’s most are trained in the US – and for what we pay 100′s of thousands of dollars for you can pay out of your checking account. They just completed a state of the art hospital in southern Costa Rica. There are more American repats living there then in any other country in the world. Panama is in the same league.

  • Loren

A couple of things here. 1. 300,000,000 people aren’t able to leave the USA and why should they. This is our country not Obama’s (one big ass mistake America). 2. Where is it that this government has the authority to destroy the nation at our expense? Are we the greatest nation on the planet or are we the biggest cowards on the planet? Which is it? Where is the former President George Bush on all this and why is he so quiet when Carter has a big idiot mouth and puts his foot in it every time he speaks? America, you are giving far more grace to this government in light of the destruction that this government is going to give you. Destroying your marriage, your family, your lives. Are you going to stand by and let a fraud president and fraud government kill you? I would love to hear what you all have to say when this goes down and you have nowhere to turn except the street, if you’re lucky.

    • Strawberry Shortcake

Glad someone said it, thanks Loren. I want to know the same thing. When are people going to realize that “voting” them out just might not work? That if they pass this healthcare bill now November won’t mean a damn thing? I’ve been sitting in front of my television astounded at the new levels of low they stoop and how we are just takin it up the ass. When will enough be enough? Will it be too late when people decide to fight (and I mean the real kind)? Was the Revolution a history lesson that we are just too “advanced” (or cowardly) to repeat? Has those kind of ideals been bred out of us? Maybe through our government-controlled public education. I love how all the NRA people say when they come for our guns (which is coming, they are gonna get the guns out of the hands of the people) then we will fight. Yeah. Just like Katrina right? They came for their guns and most handed them right over, though I recall video of an elderly lady who was beat down (by OUR guard) because she believed in her right, maybe she was old enough to know what it means to ACTUALLY believe in something. Those people had the right to protect themselves and they were stripped of their right to do so. I hope and pray we aren’t doomed to the same fate when everything we know collapses…

      • Pat R

Are you aware that Obama used implants at the Rally in Ohio to get the crowd agitated enough to get the Representative who had previously voted “NO” to change his vote? Don’t ever think that they will do things fairly!
Keep praying and Keep the Faith!
God Please Bless America Again! Amen

      • Joe H.

        PatR,
I just want to know what was said on that flight on AF1 that Kookcinich Took with Obummer!!! He was promised something and I want to know what it was!!

      • Jana

JoeH, maybe he was promised that he wouldn’t be thrown off of the plane in mid air unless he changed his vote. You know, Chicago style leadership. LOL

      • Joe H.

        AMEN SISTER!!!!

      • loren

Thanks Shortcake. Glad to see there are some people out there that get who their real enemy is and are not going down without a fight. It will come to that and it will be all or nothing

    • Mary

I totally agree with you! McCain would not speak out on Obama and his associates during the campaign and lost the election. Believe me I sent plenty of msgs. to him to do so and to not vote for the 1st bail out he rushed to Washington to promote.
One of the big problems we had with McCain running was that primaries are not all held on the same day like a regular election and should be because by the time they get to many states a lot if not all the candidates are missing from the ballot. Had this not been the case I don’t think McCain would have been the Republican nominee. Maybe we would have had a better chance defeting Obama even with Acorn and the money and corruption the unions provided on Obama’s behalf.
And as far as George Bush goes I too wonder why he is not speaking out. He did not speak of Clinton and his mistakes nor of the damage and destruction thier admistration left both in the White House and Airforce One when they left office because he wanted to look at the future and not the past. It may have been prudent then but it certainly is not good now, our future looks quite bleak under the current administration and we need him and every other freedom loving American to stand up and be heard (at least try to be).

      • Ellen

WHO our Bush, McCain scared off?? McCain seemed afaid of something/someone? How is “the great idiot,” going about to try and get his votes; twisting arms, breaking legs, and empty promises give to buy votes? So called politions are buckling under giving him a vote! OH they aren’t working for the people, the scaredy cats wipe the great ones nose and FOR GET THE PEOPLE! IT has got to Change, FAST!

      • Jana

I think McCain was just too old to campaign properly.

      • CJ

I believe the only reason McCain won the primary was his ideals were far different than the others, who were nearly alike. By doing this, the other three split the majority, over all, but dropped out when they still had fewer than McCain. There should be a runoff between only two contenders when so many start in a primary, or make a second choice for your vote to go to when your first choice quits. A drop-out candidate is a lost vote in my book.

      • Jana

CJ, many of us didn’t have a choice. By the time the Texas primaries were held the decisions were already made. Therefore, I think all of the primaries ought to be held on the same day. The other way is pure nonsense. I knew who I wanted to vote for when the first primary was held.

      • Joe H.

        Jana,
I agree completely. This has been a sore spot for me for a long time now being from Ohio!!!!

    • Claire

Loren–There is nothing in this world that will make me leave America. We simply impeach or vote them out of office. The bills that are being shoved through can always be amended later. If we live long enough.

  • s c

Sadly, most Americans don’t have the luxury of moving to another country. Those who should be leaving (two-legged rats) are friends and family members of the ones who have caused our financial problems for more than 100 years. It is entirely possible that we will have a Fortress America situation in the near future, where we have to take back America from the dark forces that temporarily enjoy “power.”
Lightning can strike twice. Those who expect the rest of us to endure their fantasies can learn the hard way. King George learned. The world saw what can happen when slavery threatens to strangle people who want to be FREE.
Some lessons have to be re-learned. This time, perhaps historians can give future generations better reasons for remaining free – and occasionally tarring, feathering and “teaching” those who refuse to learn the difference between FREEDOM and SERVITUDE.

  • John

WE, should not have to leave our country. We need to purge the progressive/revisionist/leftist/marxist/socialist elements from our country. We can start with Hollywood and Washington DC, and “Move-On” from there. And waterboard George Soros each day, before deporting him and his minions. It can be bloodless, or not, but we need to hit the “Reset” button real soon.

    • Barb

I agree with you John! I’ve often joked about moving to Australia but we will stay and fight to our death if need be to save our country and rid it of these animals! Waterboarding Soros isn’t harsh enough but it’s a start make sure the water is boiling hot and do the same to Pelosi! Let the revolution begin, soonest!!!! We can’t sit back and wait any longer people!

      • Ellen

I to don’t think/want to leave my country. IT is OUR Country and while we slept the enemies moved in. WE need to take a stand re-move them from “OUR COUNTRY”, and send them packing. Maybe put them on a chain gang to re-pay what they stole. Our forefathers escaped dictatorship/communisium/socialisium and setteld here to make a New Land of Freedom for us, believing we would take care of it!
The Stoogis in Washington D.C. are doing there level best to ruin America while they waste the Tax Payers money on all there fooling around and OUR $$ for all there drinks while they injoy themselves.
Is is possible to Impeach more then one person? Pay attention to the votes and who is wasting our money, I guess.

      • John H

Unfortunately Australia is a step ahead of us on the social march. They disallowed gun ownership last year and it wont be long now until the tax payers are knuckled under. Let’s see how that goes from a long way off.

    • Nancy

I agree, this is my country and I should not have to leave it because a bunch of commies have taken it over with the help of our “annointed one” as Hannity calls him. And we can take back AMERICA with no blood shed this november if we can keep things like acorn our.

      • DaveH

One thing we can do is to press our state legislators to enforce the Constitution through Supreme Court cases to stop this illegitimate power grab by the Federal Government. The Conservative States could get together and pass nullification laws:
        http://www.humblelibertarian.com/2009/12/nullification-friend-of-liberty.html
If need be, we could even secede from this Unholy Union where the Federal Government refuses to abide by the main law of the land, the Constitution.
For those of you stuck in the Liberal States – my heart goes out to you.

      • DaveH
    • thefedupamerican

To actually affect Hollywood, we need to starve it of resources. Every one of us should stop going to see films that are anti-American or that has Leftist Directors, Producers or Stars. Yep we’d have to stay home on date night, but the way to reach these idiots is through their pocketbooks. http://www.thefedupamerican.com

      • DaveH

Excellent point Fedup. We, as Conservative Freedom-Lovers need to employ the Boycott tool like the Liberals have in the past. Boycott any business that promotes the Liberal Agenda.
I have for years avoided movies that have Ultra-Liberal stars in them such as Alec Baldwin.

      • Ellen

Right on!! The hungy learn the fastest. I think it really snowballed in Hollywood and the evil media, so that makes a lot of T.V. off limits they need to learn too. More time to do what we need to do, while they starve.

      • Pat R

Why do you think Obama decided to go on Foxnews? Because of Fox’s rating. I applaud the host for continuing to Overspeak Obama. Serves them right! Pay back for the “elite snubbiness that Fox has received!

      • DaveH

        Pat,
For the sake of education, I suppose I should watch what Obama has to say. But 15 seconds of his interview was enough for me. I didn’t have any dramamine available.

      • Joe H.

        DaveH,
I’ve done that for years If there’s a movie I want to see I wait till it’s at the library!!! that way they don’t make a cent off me! I refuse to line the pockets of people determined to ruin this nation! the stupid thing is that they don’t realize this party was the one that banned them from making movies in this country, costing them extra money by having to travel to other countries to film movies that show fight scenes with full automatic weapons in them!!! FACT!!!

      • Joe H.

        DaveH,
I mis-stated. I did take my daughter to all three of the Harry Potter movies for her birthday!!!

      • Jana

DaveH I have also avoided them for years. I don’t even like or enjoy seeing them act since I know they have such a Communistic view. I am now including Tom Hanks in that catagory.

      • DaveH

Yeah, I was disappointed to see that Tom Hanks was part of the Liberal establishment.

      • Joe H.

        DaveH,
One of the good actors Fess Parker died yesterday. What a loss!!!

    • http://www.my-sara.com Jack Nitka

How about first we put a Fascist group that put us in this mess in prison: Bush, Cheney and the group…..

      • Nancy

grow up!! It is a million times worse now then the day the annointed one took office. Bush NEVER tried to take over business. They NEVER tried to force socialist health care down our throats and never tried to tax us out of exisistance. In fact Bush lowered taxes but surprize surprize, the annointed one is going to let the Bush tax cuts go when it is expired. They kept us safe for 8 long years. Now terroist attacks any where in the good old USA.

      • John

Bush never tried to take over business he just opened the treasury and let businesses take what they wanted!!
Jeb Bush once made the comment that he “would bankrupt the USA to put an end to social Security”. Sure seems like George took Jeb’s advice….

      • Ellen

YES WAKE UP! It started LONG before Bush! We were quitly prepared for slaughter. We were in a pot of cool water while “the unseen ONES (lib),” started turning up the heat, and it will get hotter and hotter if we don’t wake up and stand up for ourselves! They will take our money and run.

      • Jana

Ok, jack and john, how is bringing down Bush going to help us out of the quagmire that we are in now with Obama. Obama is out to turn this country into a third world country, Communism and all. So we need to concentrate on what to do about THIS problem, not on your petty grievances with the past administration. We all know he wasn’t perfect and we all know in many things he was wrong. But, we have a major problem that is going on right now and we need to stop our country from being changed into a Socialist / Communist country NOW.

      • John

Jana, the bigger question is, how do you think the same people (GOP) that got us into this mess would get us out? By cutting taxes and running the national debt up even higher?

      • Jana

Sorry John, the bigger question is what can we do now, we are not playing a game of what ifs.

      • Ray

Nancy, perhaps you were asleep but 9/11 happened while the 2nd G. Bush was president.

And the 1st G. Bush tried to overhaul the healthcare industry. I facts several president has tried.

      • cvw

        Then who did TARP#1?

      • cvw

I’m afraid if you want to use a conservative president as a comparison you will have to go back to Reagan. We have none to blame but ourselves and the way we vote. I agree with the idea that there should be a short 3 questions about each candidate on the ballot and if you cant answer them correctly then your vote is voided. Voting for someone because they look a certain way is pure suicide and voting for someone because of their ethnic background is in itself racist. If we would listen to what these candidates are saying what they want to do instead of how bad the other guy is or how they make you feel or some newscasters interpretation then we could actually have some grounds to complain. Also I am tired of hearing obama compared to hitler. It is obvious that he is Stalin incarnate giving this country its final blows of the cold war. So now tell me who won the cold war? I’ve been to Russia and it is more free there.

      • Jerry Mobley

        John, Barb, Nancy, thefedupamerican, and Jack Nitka;
What each of you said is absolutely correct. It gives me peace to know that others share my love for these United States and our Constituion. I will never quit on my GOD or my Country and as before I am prepared to lay down my life in their defense. We must take back our government from these internal communist by what ever means it takes. Tyranny can not be Tolerated!!!

      • mark

        Jerry
Sign me up. Leaving this country, although tempting, is not an option.
The USA is still the best place to live in the entire hemisphere. People are still flocking here to get away from Obama like regimes. If the USA goes so does the world

      • John Blair

Jack, you poor, misguided man. Do you not realize that the current administration is trying to socialize this country at light speed? Do you not understand that BHO is an imposter, who has sealed his records, from kindergarten through Harvard law school until 2058 when will be 98 years old and he did this on his first day in office? Are you unaware of the fact that his grandparents were communists, he was mentored by Frank Marshall Davis, a communist and a drug dealer in Hawaii? I pity people who are angered by the Bush administration, when the current one is the most secretive and corrupt administration we have ever had in this nations history? Do you ever wonder what happened to the promise of an open and transparent presidency? If none of this causes you concern, I would have to say you need to get your priorities straight. Good luck with that.

      • John

John you poor misguided man. Do you realize that George Bush instituted the prescription health plan and then nationalized the banks???…. GWB was the most socialist president we have seen in 50 years!

      • blackhat

You may be right that “GWB was the most socialist president we have seen in 50 years!” Key word, WAS. Now we have obama! The newly crowned king of socialism…Thank you for pointing that out.

      • Jana

just plain john, if you can’t get up and get your head out of the sand and come into the now, then you are living in a fantasy land.

      • Claire

Jack Nitka–well, if you start with them, you better start with all the others from 30-50 years ago. Our government has had constant barrage of idiotic politicians for years. If you blame one of them, you most certainly have to “blame” all of them.

      • Joe H.

        Jack N.
Just as long as the present group of theives, liars and communists are right beside him!!! I’ll sacrifice two for that!!!!

    • CJ

John’s right, we shouldn’t have to leave. Reality is, there is no country that could handle the population explosion and survive for long without economical distress. The only recourse is to remove them, and not just from office. Al Gore has been removed from office, but is still doing damage. Just taking away their power won’t take away their voice. Now that they’ve had a taste of absolute power, they won’t settle for less. They will constantly strive to ruin the country. Only two options, as I see it… make their point illegal (unlikely under freedom of speach) or banish them from the country. Good luck with either. That leaves educating the illinformed, and as long as they are addicted to their entitlements, they won’t be very easy to educate. The right choice is seldom the easy one.

    • Mick

So John, how do you purge?

Do you and your Neo-Nazi friends round up everyone who does not believe Rushes stupid crap and put them in concentration camps?

Big problem. We outnumber you and that is why we voted and placed Obama and the rest in their positions of power.

Please tell me more about you insane militant views. Hope home land security is watching you.

Just follow Rush to Costa Rica.

  • Melinda Payne

Thanks for correcting Rush’s comment Robert, I heard Rush when he said this. There are enough “lame stream media” out there misquoting Rush, we don’t need the conservatives misquoting him as well.

  • Robert

I agree with R. Reilly, but again, as usual, Rush was correct when he specifically said that everyone would say he would leave the country without putting it in context.

    • Ferrosynthesis

Rush wasn’t misquoted, he just changed his story later for the gullible

      • Jana

        Ferry, You wish.

      • Joe H.

        Jana,
        Is that spelled Fairy???

      • Jana

        LOL not on purpose.

  • http://donthaveone Beberoni

The thing is, these liberal whack jobs keep pushing their agenda and upping costs on business’s, more and more will leave the United States for other countries. So once you liberals rid the country of these evil big business, what are you all going to to for work? Think about it.

    • George

“. So once you liberals rid the country of these evil big business, what are you all going to to for work? ”

…they’re going to live on hopes and dreams.. and maybe pixie dust..

      • Nancy

they will be made to work in government owned business and on government owned farms and live in poverty and die of curable deseases because this is what they want.

      • J C

Don’t worry George, they won’t have to make those decisions for themselves. Big Brother will tell them what to do. When to get up, where to work, when to die….

    • http://www.MumblingRepublican.com Radio UpNorth

      Go!

      Just go!

Who will hire you where you’re going?

      • Joe H.

        radio,
now I know your brain is frozen, if you actually have one to freeze!! The people leaving are the ones that DO the hireing not the ones looking to GET hired!! Hope that new world order works real good for you!!! Star Trec it isn’t!!!!

      • TIME

        Joe,
        How right you are.

    • Joe H.

      Berberoni,
where you been lately??? Haven’t seen too much of you. Don’t be so scarce friend!!!!

  • http://www.personalliberty.com Robert Reilly

Point: Rush said that he would go to Costa Rica for healthcare, not leave the country. I expect the main stream media to misquote Rush but not you!

    • James

Robert R., Rush appears to have said “If all that stuff gets implimented, I will leave the country.” I see no indication that he said he would go somewhere for his healthcare. Am I missing something? Rush would defect because of socialism, not poor healthcare.

      • Vicki

I happened to be listening to the Rush Limbaugh show that morning. He said at least a paragraph of things and did say he would leave the country. The full paragraph however includes restating that and explaining that he would go out of country for health care. This directly implies that he would be doing what so many citizens of other countries do now. And that he would not be “moving out of the country”

      • Randy Michigan

NO, NO he said he would move out of the country, Bye, Bye!

      • Ron with Ears

Rush it not even going to Costa Rica since his Health Plan will not support him down there.
You should listen and pay attention to what he says, not what some liberal bloggers parrot from rahm emmanuel and his sycophants….

He is looking for a place to get DECENT TIMELY HEALTH CARE. He will not be leaving the USA for permanent residence.
Even he knows that obamas came here from Kenya since the living conditions there are terrible.
After all who would support obama’s spending if Rush leaves with all his taxable income.
        Say Hallelujah
        RSTG

      • Dude

People like you deserve misfortune. Ignorance has led this country down the wrong path and we’ll be paying for it for decades. The context was he would go to Costa Rica for care, not permanent residence. If you’re the type that just just hears what you want to hear, how you want to hear it then it does not surprise me you not only voted for Obama but you probably still believe he’s good for you. You hate Rush because if he’s right about most the stuff he’s talks about then we really are all SOL.
To Jeff, just because you don’t want to hear it, doesn’t mean it’s a lie. Not a good way of coping there buddy.

      • Pugsley

They are still mainstream media! There is so much more going on than most people realize. Go watch “The O’bama Deception” and The Fall of the Republic” Also Webster Tarpley does a video on youtube called “The men behind Barack Hussein O’bama” ALL OF THEM ARE A MUST SEE!!!!!

      • http://NA Karen

Hey, thanx Pugsley, I will check them out.

Dictator Obama is really a Gem eh? Now we are on the verge of war with Korea?????

He is an occupier of the American Presidential Seat. He mislead the American People to vote for him and now that he is in office, he is dismanteling our country. Why do we let him do this?

He is the equivalent of a treasoner and no one does anything.

Everyone wanted to Impeach Clinton for a sex act but no one flips when our freedoms are in danger, we are in danger from no protection from terrorists, our money is being spent and we are bankrupt and own by China.

What about all of this information doesn’t anyone understand.

Oh btw, thanx a lot CNN, MSNBC, ABC, CBS, NBC for ommitting the truth from every single news report that you are broadcasting.

This is called PROPAGANDA…when a news agency (or anyone) reveals only information that would favor one side. Sound familiar??

    • Ferrosynthesis

Costa Rico has single payer health care. If Rush is that patriotic that he will leave the country, let him go. We’ll miss him, the clown that he is.

      • refuse2lose

The only clowns we have are in the three ring circus convening in Washington.Obama,Pelosi and Reid really missed their calling. They could have actually been the best at something besides destroying America.

      • john larry

you are so right! In my lifetime I’ve never seem so many dis honest people in our government. These people are the leaders of this great nation.

      • Ray

The most dishonest people are the CEO ‘s of major corporations that has a license to steal especially wall street and the drug companies.

Very few comments are directed at the corporations who have taken billions -no make that Trillions of American wealth aided by the Repulican party.

And all of this stuff about socailized medicine – which is just a scare tactic used by conservatives to promote thier own agenda is just nonsense.

We are a nation addicted to drugs which is what the drug companies wants. Doctors are willing participants in this nonsense. Have you ever asked yourself why after 40 years of cancer research why isn’t there a cure for cancer or heart disease?

We are bombarded with TV drugs ads for Flu vaccines , blood pressure, heart disease and cholesterol. None of these drugs cures nothing. If the US government was really serious about the health of americans then they would stop the drug companies from comprising our food supply with thier drugs -promote healthy eating and to not to ban alternative treatments that may help us.

      • denniso

GOOD RIDDANCE LIMBAUGH!!!Leave, be my guest,I’ll open the door for you,you traitorous fat cat drug addict.
All the hate directed at elected representatives, and so little at the people who actually deserve the hate…large corporations that have taken over most of our ‘elected’ gov’t and our very lives. Limbaugh NEVER rants against corporate control or abuse,he only spurs hate and intolerance of real people who are trying to keep the country going and ensure some degree of fairness in our corporate controlled society. Like I said,GOOD RIDDANCE LIMBAUGH!!!! Sad thing though is that he’s only lying again…he’s too cowardly to leave and too addicted to his loving sheep to give it up.

      • Mike In MI

Hey there, refuse2lose – Got a question for you.

In all the time I’ve been watching these three monkeys all clambering around on this pumpkin looking for the screwy place there has been one thing constant. Barak Hussein has never once proposed a bill.

        So, what?

Well, the one up for grabs does a thorough trashing of the Constitution and some of our Bill of Rights…rips ‘em up. As it stands that leaves Nancy and Harry and the “yea” voters on the hook for breach of promise and failure to defend and protect the Constitution of the United States of America. But, WHO NEVER PROPOSED ANYTHING? Right, B. Hussein, “the Hoser”, can’t be claimed to have failed to defend and protect since he never submitted anything with his name on it. So, even if we get rid of all the Democrats in the House and Senate we’re still gettin’ stuck by him.

I just wonder if he hasn’t done it this way just so he can protect himself from the charge of trying to dismantle and destroy the documents of our fundamental freedoms and guarantors of our rights?
Is that phraseable as an impeachable offence (?) to be carried out later when conservatives and patriots take charge again.

Is there some way we an get the Chicago conman to commit to this 2300 or so page piece of pornography? Somebody ought to raise a ruckus about it.

      • Randy Michigan

You will not stop Change, it is going to happen. Start a civil war and get crushed by the American military.

      • J C

Are you confusing patriotism with loyalism? They are very different things.

    • Hugh Jordan

If that vituperous load wants to leave, goodbye and good riddance.

His only real patriotism is to his wallet (filled by the gullible) and to all the drugs he takes. many hear call the Dems nut jobs… have you ever really taken a look at Rush?

How can anyone perceive him to be sane watching him jump around, gesticulate, rant, and act like a colon with feet and a fat gut?

      • Joe H.

        Hugh,
i can tell you are just repeating the demprogressive rant. If you had actually been watching Rush, you would have noticed he has lost a good deal of weight and you would not have called him fat. If you are going to post, at least make it something from YOU and not some regurgitated rant!!!!

      • Hugh Jordin

this is from me. I, me , myself, find him repulsive as a human being and a stirrer up of hatred. If you allow this vile person to shape your thinking, it’s your problem.

      • Jana

Hugh, if you really think that, then you are the one with the problem. If someone giving out information, if someone giving out the truth threatens you that much, yes, you definitely have a problem.

      • Hugh Jordin

Truth…From Rush???!!! You have got to be delusional.

      • Bob

You’re either very stupid or intentionally blind. I’m voting for the former (by the way, that means the first option).

      • Ray

Hugh, I’m in agreement with you about Rush. This guy just promotes hate and fear. Personally I think that the people who listen to him are just looking to blame their problems on something or someone.

The past 30 years {20 years of Repulican rule} we have seen an growth in the number of illegals in the country. They over run our healthcare system , schools and other government services. Yet during the Bush years no effort was made to slowed the inflow of illegals.

The U.S. is in the middle of a great recession. Companies find it hard to hire people because of the high cost of doing business. Why do you think that pensions plan are becoming a thing of the past? Or why do companies past on the cost of increased insurance costs to the employees? Why? because it has become to expensive to do business here in Americs. Until we can get health costs under control – it may be a long time before US corporations can start hiring people at a decent wage.

What does Rush has to say about that? He always offers critism but no solutions.

      • Dennis

Libs keep talking about Rush’s money, but NEVER complain about Kerry’s money, The Kennedy money, Pelosi’s money, George Soros’s money, etc., not to mention all of the Hollywood rich that bitch about giving tax breaks to the rich. Each of them have more money than Rush, and they rob it from all of us. And now, Obama is living like a fat cat on our money. He is far outdoing Rush in the luxury department, using Air Force One like he it’s his personal plane. So stop being so hypocrtical by calling Conservatives “the Rich”. It’s total BS.

      • Jana

Hugh, Dennis is right on this.

      • J C

        Rev. Gore’s global warming money?

      • Jana

Right! They never complain about Algores money the millions that he has made from his lies. The only time a loving, kindhearted, freedom thinking LIBERAL complains is if a conservative speaks out. Then all of their sweet love and kindness to all creatures big and small go out the door. Their hatred spews forth as we are witnessing.

    • Deborah Anne Williams

      Dear Friends,

If you are taking your money out of the country, please go with your coveted savings and stay there. Canada is nice, but good luck getting in. If you think we are becoming a socialist nation you all know nothing about socialism.

We live in a free nation. We are not taxed to the gills to pay for health care as I was in Canada. We also have the best health care in the world. We are not sent over 1000 miles for a complex heart surgery, or made to wait months to see an oncologist because one is not close by. Go to Canada! A socialist nation that has health care for all. See how much comes out of your salary to pay for everyones care. 12% sales tax and high prices for food. The costs for health care are low including Dr.’ salaries. Canadians have little to no say on how their process is conducted. We can vote and speak.

Your rage is unfounded. You are clustering in groups who are tarnishing your minds with hate for our country. Step away from the people throwing dollar bills at a man with Parkinson’s. Is this your truth? Think about it. Do you really think this bill will take your money to pay for people with disabilities? We all have been paying for the uninsured, why do you think our premiums have risen??? To pay for the illegal to walks into the ER, that is why.

I feel that the right wing conservatives have jumped on a bandwagon of misinformation. I am disabled with Multiple Sclerosis and my husband has Parkinson’s. I never wished illness on anyone until now. I saw right wing conservatives berating a man with disabilities.

You don’t pay for me. I have insurance and worked for the money I collect. Our money we worked for is coming back to us due to our illness that keeps us from holding a job.

I’m glad that Rush could afford to pay cash for his heart surgery. Many people cannot pay and need insurance to cover their visits to a Dr. instead of waisting money by going to the ER. Disease will strike anyone when you least expect it. Watch your backs, and be ready to pay should you be stricken with a life changing disease.

      BTW, would you hire me?
Mild paralysis with amblyopia and diplopia.
I’ll work for you but I can’t stand for long periods of time due to chronic spasticity of the limbs. What about my husband? He could work, but has episodes of freezing up, drooling and falling. He needs help with all of his daily needs. Tea Party goers think that a person with Parkinson’s should work. Hire him please.

Regards from the great state of New Hampshire

      DAW

      • Dude

That was the most confusing thing I’ve ever read. You seem to love our health care system as it is and now and hated on Canada’s which is what it is supposed to be like in 4 years. You rip on Republicans but it sounds like you should be voting for them. Poor poor indoctrinated lady with a mind of her own is what that all sounded like. You should re-read what you wrote and figure your sh*& out. LMAO

      • Dude

Also as someone who actively seeks employment and always sees at the bottom: Women, minorities and people with DISABILITIES encouraged to apply. AKA White males need not apply. I can tell you it isn’t Republican voters encouraging this kind of sexist and racist employment. The irony here, I’d tell your husband to apply to any of these positions with the code words at he bottom, they’ll find something for him just might not be the job he applied for. Deborah I really hope you were using the satyrical approach so only a select few could see that you are actually making fun of liberals because if not, you just made me crack up regardless!

    • Lynne Randall

My husband just started getting Social Security retirement but has to continue to work. I am also on Social Security and also work a part time job. With this bill passage, our Medicare Advantage will be going away. It isn’t great but it’s better than straight Medicare. I am a below knee amputee, have had the other knee replaced, and am in need of surgery on my hand and a new prosthesis. What do we Seniors do now??? I can’t imagine what it is going to be like for my 91 year old Mother. Mt husband and I are going to retire, eventually, in Panama. The cost is about 50% less than here and they treat retirees like us a lot better than our own country does. My husband says that we will have to pay for health care no matter what. We don’t have a choice! I thought that was the whole idea about American; freedom of choice……

    • Mick

More brilliance – so Rush is saying I am gonna leave this becoming socialized medical system for a fully socialized medical system. Amazing the stupid dribble that comes from his mouth.
