Poll: Majority Believe Obama Should Not Get Second Term

February 22, 2010 by

Poll: Majority believe Obama should not get second termA new research poll indicates that a majority of Americans believe that President Obama is undeserving of a second term in office.

The CNN/Research Opinion poll found that 52 percent of Americans feel that Obama should be a one-term president. Nearly 44 percent of respondents said that Obama deserves to be reelected, while 4 percent answered that they have no opinion. Registered voters and non-registered citizens responded in an identical fashion.

The poll also revealed a possible disconnect between the president and middle-class voters.

"One problem Obama faces may be the perception that Obama is not a middle-class kind of guy," said polling director Keating Holland, quoted by the New York Daily News.

"Only 4 percent of Americans describe themselves as upper class. But a 45 percent plurality say that Obama belongs to the upper class, with 42 percent saying he is from the middle class and 12 percent describing him as working class," he added.

Meanwhile, the survey found that only a third of voters believe that most members of Congress deserve to be reelected, an all-time low for the poll.

Chuck B You are right! He is going to keep trying to get Oboma care
through, but will not make it. Also, remember, the standing Congress
CANNOT dictate to the future Congress what it can and cannot do!
Otherwise, why elect a New Congress? Which is exactly what we are
    going to do!

  • Rod

What do you mean “second term” Lets IMPEACH him and send him back to
the land where he was born, KENYA!

  • chuck b

this may be a time when the people of this country should really be concerned. this president knows he is in trouble and he does have an agenda. this healthcare bill is not wanted by a majority of the electorate, yet, he is determined this bill will go thru by any means and if they have to go the 50 vote reconciliation thats what he is going to do. in this bill there is a clause that no future congress can alter or change it. he needs the tax money this bill will raise for the next four years and without it he is in very deep trouble, his spending has gotten us to the brink of bankruptcy. this is only going to get worse, this man and the liberal congress are going to have to be removed otherwise kiss your rear end goodbye.
hopefully the voters won’t be fooled by the republicans and some phony “contract for america” like last time. the only hope i see is getting behind the tea party and promoting good conservative candidates for the congress and senate, hopefully there will be some on the democrat side.

  • http://www.NRA.com Stephaan

I didn’t want him to have a “first” term, but with “split vote” conservatives wasting their votes for THIRD PARTY CANDIDATES that can’t possibly win, votes from welfare cases that want free money every month, C.A.I.R.E. radicals, votes from La Razza radicals, illegal aliens that want FREE amnesty, and government funded A.C.O.R.N. registering millions of false voters such as D.Duck, Micky Mouse, & Jane Does, & John Smiths at taxpayers expense, I’m afraid we will be stuck with that lying liberal socialist, ANTI-AMERICAN, muslum loving, terrorist codling Osama until 2016. The vote this November will be a good indication of how things will shake out in 2012.

As an aside; (CNN Poll) 86% percent of Americans polled recently think that government is broken and needs to be fixed. I don’t know how much of this 86% you can attribute to Osamas performance, but I would think it would be more than 52%.

    • DaveH

      Stephaan,
You had a chance to elect a conservative in the Republican Primaries (Ron Paul), but you or your fellow Republicans let the ball drop and chose the RINO John McCain who was fiscally liberal and socially conservative.
I know he has tried to remake his image into that of a conservative, but the various bills he has sponsored belie that effort (Campaign Finance Reform Act of 2002, The Dietary Supplement Safety Act, etc.).
You can go here and see for yourself what a Big Spender he is:
      http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_bills_sponsored_by_John_McCain_in_the_United_States_Senate

      • http://www.NRA.com Stephaan

Dave,I did vote for Ron in the primaries. There just weren’t enough mes’ that voted for him. He was my guy until he did so poorly and I wasn’t about to waste my vote again, and let Osama into the white house.
I agree there wasn’t much difference between McRino and Osama, but the repubs would have kept him reined in. Also Palin would not have allowed any assaults on the second amendment, which is my big issue.
Just because congress passed spending bills doesn’t mean McRino would have signed them if he was looking forward to a second term and the repub party put pressure on him.
I’m beginning to think that maybe Osama is not expecting a second term, and maybe that’s why he is so arrogantly just doing whatever he wants. Maybe he doesn’t expect to survive the B.C. court issue.

  • Shasta

omg, anyone that defends this FOOL ON THE HILL is paralized from the neck up……WHERE ARE THE JOBS????????????
I would take Bush back any day, at least he loves his country, and wasnt a Chicago thug first. Ovomit and his wife need booted, they are shameless, and have No business in the white house, Ovomit couldnt even shine Bush’s boots, he should be shipped to Never Never land !!!!

    • TheSmartTiffany

      Hey Shasta,
Keep talking trash and calling names! Really mature! What is it exactly that you don’t like about this man? I am sure you really have no idea. Because people like you can’t form thier own opinions. People like you are the sheep of society.

      • Holly

There you go lying AGAIN Tiff!! People who feel the need to add “SMART” to their name are just INSECURE ABOUT THEIR INTELLIGENCE! Seek help Tiffany.

If you really want to know what we don’t like about mr. Osama, try using your scroll knob for this page, and your left click to select all the other pages on this blog. It is not up to us to REPEAT IT ALL FOR YOU JUST BECAUSE YOU AREN’T “SMART ENOUGH” TO GO READ IT! We don’t have the time to waste on you, posting it all again!

      • Holly

Hey! The moderator took off Jeff H, and Stephans posts, and the bottom half of my post that were all in reply to “SMART TIFFANY” There were absolutely NO SWEAR WORDS IN ANY OF THE THREE POSTS! Do you suppose SmartTiffany works for Bob Livingston? Does he have a liberal socialist mole inside his organization?

      • libertytrain

Or, “Holly” … could it be the posts were far more than insulting to a fellow poster which is also against the “rules” …. hmmm.

      • Doc Sarvis

I think some of us are waiting for some legitimate criticisms.

      • DaveH

Wow, listen to Tiffany, the Pot calling the kettle black. She says
“Keep talking trash and calling names! Really mature!” and then in the very same comment “People like you are the sheep of society”.

More statements from the Pot’s comments:
        “then we’ll all be drones!”
“I am so glad to see that someone else on this forum has half a brain! Are all these people mad?”
“Seriously I’m so sick of people watching Fox news like a bunch of drones and regurgitating back not only fixed media bull, but having no real opinions of their own.”
        “Americans are closed-minded individuals”
        “You people make me ill.”
“I can’t stand your simple-minded republican red-neck little brains anymore!”

And you consider yourself intelligent Tiffany?

      • DaveH

My green anole has a bigger brain.

      • Dylan

        smart tiffany?
You hold yourself in pretty high regard don’t you? Are you so insecure about your intelligence that you have to add “smart” to your name? That seems kind of pathetic.

    • eyeswideopen

Shasta, has it ever occured to you that if the Repubs had done what Bush wanted, with Frannie and Freddie, we wouldn’t be in such an economic crisis? Your boys, refused to listen to their own Party Chief, who was concerned about the housing bubble. So, enjoy, your party could have taken measures and didn’t. Man up, and learn the facts.

      • Unbiased Observer

        Eyeswideshut;
It was Bawney Fwank, Chuch U. Schumer, Chris Dodd and the rest of the liberal dems that stopped Bush, not the repubs.

      • Joe H.

        Bing,Bing,bing bing!!!!!!

  • Raggs

52% huh? I think that is putting it mildly. Oh but wait … CNN’s poll well go figure.. If a “REAL” poll were used it would be at least 70%+

  • http://gmail Lone Rider

As for a few comments about the birth record of Obamee, all elected officals have to show birth records. I know because I just applied for a job with government connections. The pus brains that don’t think that is important are the same ones that complain about Bush lying, when bastard muslim won’t show his records, and lies at last count published of 4897. He is a prime of example of a college educated zero. He thinks we are all going to go back to brush standrads. Which is a niggeredly standrads I don’t think any would want to have a wanna be shammon , deciding when, where, what we eat, where and what we work at, and how much we make. To damn 3rd world. Of course that is a democrat mantra from the late 1800′s. Most progressives which are in either party beleive man is responsible for gobal warming, and can be controlled. What elitist pompous attitude. The dems want every one to haver college degree, give a lot of professor a job, who are as dumb, sorry manure you are useful for plant life, most profeedors just go to school from preschool and never leave. What most people who voted for Bamee were rathewr light on the Constitution, business , and where in the feel good utopian beleif that government would take care of everyone, but who woulf pay the freight for all this crap?

  • RQuance

The Obamanation currently hiding in the White House will not be able to run unless he provides his Birth Records and proves he is eligible to run. Some states are putting in place the requirement of proving you can run before they will put you on the ballot and since he will not do that he is out of there.

  • gaetano

With bush,I didn`t make as much money clear as I did the years before but I DID HAVE A JOB.And I did feel safe living in America. So don`t try to prove that Obama`s faults are Bushes carry overs. That won`t cut it. I could also say that it was Clinton who warned Bush about Iraq, and that bush just used his info to follow up with a war,but I won`t. It just seems to me that you democrats have to be bitten in the a%% before you realize the truths. So ,my response to a one termer is, That I don`t think he will last the full one term.

    • TheSmartTiffany

Well Im sorry that you lost your job. A lot of people are out of work or took huge pay cuts. But that does not mean that it is the PRESIDENT’S FAULT! How does that make any sence? MAYBE you should look into what the Central Banks were doing at the time? Do you even know about the Central Bank?

      • DaveH

The Federal Reserve (your “central bank”) is a tool of the Government. They could be defanged at any time by the politicians.

      • eyeswideopen

DaveH, why didn’t the Repubs defang it when they had the power in the Congress? Why, because they like the crony captialism for their crony corporations who grease their palms. Can’t blame the Dem’s for the Repubs inaction.

      • http://Don'thaveone Sally

From your posts, I don’t think you have a clue what the Central Banks are and are doing. Please explain

    • DDC

gaetano,, sorry about your job.. Bush had more sense than Obama could ever think about having.. I am a Navy Seal leaving in June for Afghanistan.. Served 3 hitches in Iraq,, and 1 in Afghanistan,, and going back.. I think Obama is setting us up for slaughter.. I know Obama is a Muslim,, so what is to keep him from telling them our every move.. He has already said he is sending 30,000 troops over there,, and he is going to tell them when we are going to pull out.. I believe he is setting us up for slaughter..
I’ll say one thing,, you can bet your sweet arse I will take out as many Muslims as I possibly can..
Vote all the cronies out in 2010,, then we can get Obama impeached in 2011:::: REMEMBER:::VOTE::VOTE::VOTE::
God Bless You,, gaetano,, Hope you find work.. You are in my prayers!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

About Obama,,and his 2nd term.. If we vote what we got in the Whitehouse out in 2010,, very possible we can get him impeached in 2011::: VOTE::VOTE::VOTE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The President made a statement during a CBS news cast a few weeks ago, which I thought was unsettling. He said ” I would rather be a good one term President than a two term mediocre President”. The more I thoughtn about that the more I realized He either doesn’t care about a second term if he can spread enough of the wealth to create an America that has a broke and classless society or his Narcistic Ego is telling him that if he manages to have a govt takeover of most of the United States resources he can become a dictator like Hugo Chavez who will be in office forever. If health care is govt run, it would be over 50% of the economy that he would control with the help of his 40 CZARS and other Liberal followers. By continued big spending and massive deficit there will come a time when unrest will cause a possible action to martial law by the Federal Gov’t at which time all weapons (guns) would be confiscated and WE THE PEOPLE would begin to understand what Socialism is all about. I spent 29 years in the military pledging to uphold the Constitution and I saw how other countries lost their freedoms, so all I can say is I never thought there would be a chance that I would be fighting in my country to protect the freedoms of my family, frends and myself. If the American people allow this nightmare to unfold it will be catastrophic. It is very important to solve this problem by beating on your elected officials to stop this maddening spending before even entitlements can’t be funded. We are broke people, there is no more money to spend. Vote against the liberal democrats, but don’t forget to vote against the Progressives in the Republican and Democratic party. This country has problems because of our elected representatives so stop with insulting each other and demanding these do nothing Congress people get it done or resign or we will vote them out. The health reform, cap and trade and amnesty are not deficit nuetral because the govt always gets too big and spends way more than the forcasted budget. China owns us lets stop the spending madness by writing your Senators and Representatives.

    • Warrior

This dude is a phenominal narcissist.

    • TheSmartTiffany

You people make me ill. I am not sure how I even found this forum and can’t help myself but to read your car-crash like writings. You seem like a sad case of military brain-washing. I can’t stand your simple-minded republican red-neck little brains anymore! You have no idea what SOCIALISM even is about except; “SO-CIA-LISM BAD…CAP-IT-O-LISM GOOD! ME HAVE NO IDEA WHY EXCEPT WHAT OTHERS TELL ME!” Now here’s how it really is; Socialism was gien a bad name bu the Soviet Union. But most of Europe is considered socialist and those people love it! Let me tell you! I did NOT serve 29 years in the military but have traveled the world instead, speaking to the people of other countries, not killing them, and have discovered….America is falling behind the times! You should see Europe! It is far more advanced with it’s high-speed trains, ultra clean streets, nearly pollution free cities and they even have time for naps and family time half way through the day! They all have free health care and love it! They have had thousands of years of trial and error to figure out just how to live peacefully. No one in Europe drives a giant Hemi truck or lives in un-reasonable mansions. What they do have is quality of life! Everyone is for the most part happy and free. Life is slower and people relax. Obama is trying to give this to us, not become some sort of Dictator. Why does everyone fight against what is in thier best interest? I think I know…because it all seems too good to be true. But it isn’t people. Relax. We finally got a decent smart guy in office who wants to make changes for the good. Please stop fighting it.

      • JeffH

TheNotSoSmartTiffany, “and then you woke up and realized you were having a nightmare”.

      • JeffH

Oh, and if you think their health care is “free”, why don’t you send me some “free” money.

        Health Care in Britain
        National Health Service

The National Health Service (NHS), which was established in 1948, provides (almost) free health care to all. The finance comes mostly from general taxation (81 percent), plus some from the national insurance contributions (12 percent) – paid by both employee and employer – and 7 percent from other charges.

Use of the NHS is largely free but certain things have to be paid for, for example eye tests, dental treatment and drug prescription charges. When you visit your doctor or hospital you have to pay only for the medicines. However certain groups (low income groups, children, people over the age of 60, pregnant women and people with certain illnesses) are exempt from charges. If you need to stay in hospital there is no charge for treatment or medicines.

      • DaveH

Public Debt in Great Britain is now 60% of GDP and is growing steadily. If we/they can’t stop borrowing money from the future, how can we/they ever stop borrowing and actually start paying off the public debt?

      • JeffH

That’s a model of economic health isn’t it?

      • eyeswideopen

Dave, two weeks ago, you left link showing how other countries are doing finacially and when you look at those successful countries, surprise, most have some socialist programs, especially healthcare. Of course, most of them are not war mongering countries either, so maybe the Repubs and Conservatives could take a lesson and stop pushing wars.

      • DaveH

We make you ill? You make me laugh with statements like:
“Socialism was gien a bad name bu the Soviet Union”.

Your own George Soros has admitted that much of your European Paradise is in financial straits.

You are unbelievable. Like you said you travel to other countries, you don’t live there. Anyone want to pay $50.00 for a hamburger. That is what is cost in Switzerland. Forget about the British Isles, if you get sick there, hop on the train and go to Europe because even if you are a paying custpmer and go to a private clinic, they are absolutely filthy and you will come out with much more than you went in for. Taxes in most of the countries are 60%. And believe me, the EU is in very much trouble because of the PIIGSTY (In case of you neophites that is Portugal, Italy, Ireland, Greece, Spain, Turkey and Yougaslovia) The EU wants to dump them. I would say, everyone that wants that fine, go over there and live (if you can), just don’t burden us with that crap. I know what I am talking about, as my business takes me to Europe daily.

      • JeffH

Sally, why won’t they respond to you? You and I know why…..

      • Joe H.

        The ignorant tiphony,
If you check most of those military types have LIVED with those people that you speak of, not just talked to them!!! They have seen those same people on a daily basis and seen how they live! So untill you have LIVED what you talk about, don’t preach to the choir!!!

Warrior, DaveH, gave them that mantra word about four months ago, and they love it. Ask how many of them have Medicare and want to keep it. They would kill you, if you want to repeal that program. Dave, admits that he has health problems, and doesn’t have insurance, so unless he is super wealthy, one hospital stay of 4 days would cost about 82K. How many people do you know would have the means to fork over that much money for one incident? A fair conslusion would be that the rest of us will be stuck with his medical costs, unless he also participates in the horrible Medicare system that he berates as a socialist government program. Hyprocrisy reigns!!!

“The danger to America is not Barack Obama but a citizenry capable of entrusting a man like him with the presidency. It will be easier to limit and undo the follies of an Obama presidency than to restore the necessary common sense and good judgment to a depraved electorate willing to have such a man for their president. Blaming the prince of the fools should not blind anyone to the vast confederacy of fools that made him their prince. The republic can survive a Barack Obama, who is, after all, merely a fool. It is less likely to survive a multitude of fools such as those who made him their president.”

    • DaveH

      Interesting point of view, Devill.

  • Barbara

If Obama gets elected to serve a second term, the voters who put him there deserve what they get —- weaker dollar, unemployment on a higher scale (even you wealthy can loose your jobs) and even more debt than he has put us in at this point. Makes living in other parts of the world very impressive. When he was campagning, he promised this and that and NO more taxes. Well, you can’t spend without raising taxes to pay for it (unless you borrow from other countries). We are in financial hole we will never be able to get out of!!!

  • http://opacomments...... Pat McIntyre

Wow………ignorance is bliss. This great country is on a downslide with idiot like ron, michelle, roger, jo a stone, robin, paul and a few more…..mostly uneducated bigots….and the greatest Cancer to America.
How quickly we all forget the past 8 yrs. and its lying, deceitful, greedy membership e.g. the Cheneys, Roves, Bushes, etc…..the rich got richer and the middle class poorer. The truth is there.
The present trash that makes up the republican party is one of the main contributors to our existing economy…..bitch, moan, complain and only self-serving with no offers of solutions other then “stop spending”.
Do any of your morons have any idea what really would have happened to America if the Democrates had not taken and continue to take the position they have…lower unemployment, stop the insurance and drug companies from killing ordinary Americans, legislation for better educated Americans to compete in our World, legislation for clean air, and make the rich pay some taxes instead of shipping and hiding their money in Switzerland. We had a very dishonest government for 8 yrs…Cheney being paid $30 million by Halliburton for gov’t contracts to Halliburton illegally while in Iraq….he was/is on their board.
You see folks, watching fox news does not give you the truth or an honest, unbiased opinion. Trash like Hannity, O’Reiley, Beck and lets not forget the worst of the worst…R Limbaugh…all are self-serving idiots. They are the cancers to America and you idiots are feeding into their trash and lies.
Obama will serve a a second term because America will see that he is the “The BEST for their BUCK”………..name just ONE person….one republican that could/would do a better job……now smile.

    • Doc Sarvis

Thank you Pat McIntyre. I agree with you and am glad you are the American that you are. I would also say, regarding the survey, that I don’t put President Obama in the middle class but he certainly grew up through the lower and middle class. I read his first book about his life and saw the hard times that he and his family went through. He knows what hard work is and he worked hard to make it – the American dream. He is doing a good job under very difficult circumstances. Besides, how many Presidents really did come from the middle class?

    • TIME

      Pat, Your need meds ASAP.
Dude get down to your Doc as fast as you can before you split one of your last few brain cells.

Thanks for your twisted yet misleading insights.

    • JeffH

Pat McIntyre and good ole “what’s up” Doc are just liberal hacks and rebel rousers that go from site to site trying to incite the posters.
You choice to believe in Obama’s change to marxism. The majority patriots do not feed at the free trough of deception like you two do.

      • Doc Sarvis

And JeffH appears to be a fearful paranoid sheep who believes what he hears from the wealthy conservatives trying to consolidate their wealth. The growing disparity between rich and everyone else is pulling the country apart. I love America and am proud of our country. My actions are to defend the United States of America.

      • Joe H.

        Doc Sarvis,
I do not envy a man for anything he can obtain through hard work and perserverance!!! I guess in answer to your post only one phrase comes to mind……..Bull shite!!!!!!

      • Norm

        Joe H.
You are beyond naivity if you actually believe everyone who is ultra rich got there through hard work and talent.
I’d put more stock in rich parents, influencial friends, evil greedy nature, and illegal activities.

      • DaveH

And you are naive, Norm, if you believe the people you support aren’t greedy, controlling Thieves.
It’s amazing that you can denigrate those who made their money legally as “greedy” but give a pass to those who want to steal that money. Only the Liberal mind can rationalize that kind of immorality.

      • Warrior

        Doc,

How can anyone in their right mind defend the senseless spending of everyone in Washington as well as the states and local yocals? The very first thing these clowns should have done is cut salaries in government across the board. Their pay and benefits far outway private industry who just happens to pay the freight.

      • JeffH

Warrior, that is easy to answer. Only those who seek to gain from the free handouts that the flockers expect. In other words, those that feel a “distribution of wealth” to the poor, out of work or just plain lazy whatevers is the correct answer.

Dave, The article failed to mention, that 26% of the federal employees are scientists, which are at compariable pay scale of the private scientists. That fact drives up the averages. Secondaly, it isn’t comparing apples to apples, you are misleading people. Some jobs pay higher and others are lower. Even your Cato, guy admitted that might have an impact on the totals.

        DaveH,
Our city finally did away with the carry over of sick time when they had to pay one guy over thirty thousand dollars worth when he retired!!! The mayor that retired right before him(in disgrace I might add) got even more not to mention he retired with 80% of TWO salaries, Mayor and Safety director!!! 80,000 a year!!! No wonder our city was under state oversight for two years!!!

      • JeffH

Ole Doc, there is a gigantic differance in those that want to “preserve ” their wealth and those that want to “flat out” steal it.
You and Normy Baby obviously prefer to support the thieves. Why don’t both of you send me half of your fortunes because I am on a fixed income (less than 25G/year ) and really could use the money. My vehicle is old, I culd use a new hybrid. I also would like to buy about 5000 more rounds of ammo. If you would, I promise to buy bio-degradable and eco friendly ammo only.

Jeff, hey you are getting Medicare, that is a socialist program, you should be happy. Don’t bother saying you paid for it, as the amount you paid in, in no way pays for your care. The most you probably paid in was around 25-30k, which will be exhausted with your first major hospitalization/surgery.

      • JeffH

Hey eyes”I always put my feet in my mouth”wideopen. You certainly understand socialism and marxism and practice what you preach don’t you? I go to bed at night knowing I’m a patriotic American, without the same confusion you experience. I’m enjoying my ought and still paying for SS and Medicare.

Give me a break, Doc! Geeeez….that tune is getting quite old. Pleeeeeeease stop with all that emotional blackmail commentary. Bill O’Reilly made a very good point last night, when he said even the poor in America have it so much better than the middle class in other countries. I’m pretty sure all if not most have big screen flat panel TV’s (while I don’t), IPODS or high-tech cell phones (I have a mid-tech lol cell phone), one or more 5-year old (or newer) vehicles (I have one 13 year old paid for vehicle), gel nails and many other current fad fashion items….to name only a few.

The guilt trips aren’t working anymore, so just give it a rest and you’ll start to feel better soon.

Thank You! I am so glad to see that someone else on this forum has half a brain! Are all these people mad? Obama is a normal guy! Im not sure how he has been dubbed the anti-christ or even the massiah. Seriously I’m so sick of people watching Fox news like a bunch of drones and regurgitating back not only fixed media bull, but having no real opinions of their own. I wonder if any of these people actually sat down to watch the State of the Union Address or if they just caught clips of FOXNews making fun of him. If you really listen to this man you will see that he wants to make things better for the majority of people. Americans are closed-minded individuals who think that America is the end-all-be-all of the world. You people need to get off your couches and go see the rest of the world. My JOB is to travel, and I HAVE seen the rest of the world! We are being left behind in the dust by these societies! Obama knows this! Trust in this man! He is smart and he is kind. Remember this is a father who wants a beautiful America for his own children. Stop being so DAMN NEGATIVE!

I think Obama has more than demonstrated his inabilities and ignorance. I only hope that it doesn’t diminish the chances of African Americans who are fully qualified to carry out the duties and responsibilities of the office from being elected in the future.

    • Harold Olsen

I said before Obama was elected that if he wins and turns out to be a terrible president, which he has, it may harm the chances of truly competent black people who want to run for president. Americans may feel reluctant to vote for a black person for, maybe, decades to come.

      • JeffH

Harold Olsen, I totally disagree with you. America is ready for an ethnic leader, no matter what the pigmentation might be. We are not ready for Marxism, socilaism or communism leadership. There is a minority in this country that are more concerned about skin color than right or wrong, that is only their ignorance de iding for them.
Obama won’t be re-elected because he is a terrible leader and a marxist.

He is destroying our healthcare with admitted bribes. He is spending money that we, our children, grancchildren and great-grandchildren don’t have. He has told lie after lie after lie and still holds his nose so high in the air that if he steps out in the rain he could drown. His and his cronies’ hubris sickens me to the point that I feel all of the states that are able to should secede. There are more self-sustaining states in this country than he is smart enough to realize. One of his former supporters asked me why he didn’t come to our state during his campaign (such an easy answer), it is because he didn’t win our state and he knew he wouldn’t win our state so he ignored our state. Does this make you feel warm and fuzzy?

Obama is attempting to buy a second term, but his attempts are wholly rejected by an ever increasing majority of patriotic citizens just like the patriots on this web site. With cable and the internet still keeping patriots aware of this lying scandalous Congress and administration he stands a very “slim to none” chance as a second termer. We must continue to enlighten members of his flock, which also is shrinking.
Stay strong America patriots, your country depends on you!

      • Norm

Patriots?? Do they drive Jeeps? If England won the revolutionary war, Benedict Arnold would have been a Patriot and George Washington a traitor. Its all in the bias.

The public has a short memory. If things are still the same in 3 yrs, he’s gone, but if there’s even a slight upturn, he’ll be back. The media and acorn will make sure of that. BO is no way a middle class guy, never had a for real job, pumped his own gas, or shoveled his driveway. He doesn’t have a clue what working class is about, other than he’s sees a bunch of Rubes that he can smooth talk into believing his sales pitch.
The country drops to third rate if he gets another term.

    • RoBoTech

While I agree with your concept, the good news is Obama is NOT going to run again. He can’t. And that’s all I can say about that as the Libtards will be having strokes if I did.
Watch and see, April 2012, Obama will opt out a 2nd run.

      • Harold Olsen

I disagree with you. Obama is too arrogant not to run again. He has the idea that this country couldn’t survive without him. After all, he is the messiah, the chosen one. He’s our savior. He will run because it will be, according to him, for our own good because we really do not know what we believe in and ONLY HE can tell us what we REALLY believe in.

      • http://Don'thaveone Sally

I like what you are saying and it looks like you are in the know. However, do you think you can push it further and he resigns in April and we have an election to replace him?

    • JeffH

O’man will never connect with Americans again. He will never deviate from his ideals or his agenda. Through his campaign and into his first term he was the master of deception. Now that the folks understand that his magic was just that and they were decieved and lied to, he will never regain the trust of the majority again. The only trust he has is those that worship his every word and the man himself. They are the sheeple in his shrinking flock looking only to feed in the free trough.

  • George

Why dont I here about issues such as marijuana legalization and unreasonable drug testing in the workplace. It seems that the Tea Party sweeps this issue under the table and don’t want to talk about it, never-mind that there 20 million adult marijuana users in this country. I am one of them and want laws to change. I guess it wont happen with the Tea Party.

    • RoBoTech

So sorry for ya George. DAMN those Federal Laws. Imagine that, Stopping you from Smokin’ Dope (a felony).
WOW, I wish I could ignore LAWS that I don’t like, too. Lucky Liberal, Laws are for Conservatives!
And besides, who in hades told you that all Tea Party people agree with pot being illegal? I think you would find pot laws dummied down a lot under Conservative Government in THIS Century. Alcohol is worse, in a lot of people’s opinion.
BUT, at this time, POT IS against the LAW. I know that’s hard for an instant gratification Liberal to accept, but, live with it, or change it. The rest of us do!

      • George

Typical response from those who want to protect their legal dope (tobacco and alcohol). Point of correction though RoboTech: using marijuana is a misdemeanor offense like speeding in your car. It is not a Felony as much as you would like it to be. Keep in mind it is already legal in the 13 States that have passed medical marijunana laws. In my own State of Il., Springfield the captital has decriminalized small amounts of marijijuana. I am sorry but the Tea Party and all it’s affiliates are Republicans in sheep’s clothing. Like the Republicans, Tea Party’ers want to see people who use marijuana locked up in jail; they are no more libertarians in thought than the most backward conservatives. Same party – different dress. So RoboTech, get your facts straight.

      • Jana

George, with our country in a such a crisis, and all you are worried about is your dope? That shows right there what’s wrong with it.

      • Jana

        The dope that is.

      • Joe H.

        George,
I quit smoking eight years ago and quit drinking 27 years ago and I still think pot should only be legal for medical use. Proven medical use!!!! When people like you are only worried about their dope then it only serves to set the truth to what I say!!

George Soros’ Agenda for Drug Legalization, Death, and Welfare”
        Publisert 1997-01-15

        Del denne artikkelen
Described by the New York Times as “The world’s single largest donor” (Dec. 17,1996), Soros uses his philanthropy to change – or more accurately deconstruct – the moral values and attitudes of the Western world, and particularly of the American people. While others give to the arts and higher education or to better the quality of the lives of their fellow men, Soros funds campaigns for euthanasia and to legalize illegal drugs.

More dated opinions on marijuana use. They just cant let it go without the juvenile humor can they. With a little visine Blackhat, you cant tell who is stoned or not – they act normal – unlike alcohol intoxicated. So please spare me the stereotyping. You are so concerned about the deficit you should check out the price we all pay to have someone incarcerated in prison for marijuana.

Is there a Libertarian anywhere in this forum? Or are all of you Republicans?

      • DaveH

        Yes, George.
There are some of us that realize Government Growth has occurred at the hands of both Major Parties.
When the Government finally crushes all opposition, people from both parties will be asking “What did we do wrong?”.
Freedom doesn’t mean ‘as long as it pleases you’. We will continue to have constant turmoil as long as both sides try to impose their will on the rest of society.
Government has no business in protecting people from themselves.

    • TheSmartTiffany

I understand your frustration of wanting to legalize marajuana. I was once a smoker but had to quit to work for a company that tests. The problem with marajuana isn’t that it’s incredibly harmful or would even be the downfall of society if it were legalized, the problem is that you can’t test for it like other drugs. Weed stays in your system, detectibly, too long. If you were to legalize it, I am sure that there would still be jobs that they would have to test for it, such as an airline pilot. What they need is a test for marajuana that allows them to see how recently you smoked. Such as the AlcoholTest. But unfortunetly I highly doubt that any pot-smoker is going to come up with that one:)

  • Jim

I for one, sure hope this is correct!! This guy is an embarrassment to the position and this country can’t stand another 4 years under his leadership!!!

      • Suzanne Short

Mr. Obama is not our legal president now. The Congress and the Senate should be insisting that he step down. They are afraid of the disgrace for our country if they impeach him, and of course, it will prove just how unpatriotic and uninformed our Government Official are pertaining to our Constitution. The whole government is in the midst of tyranny and conspiracy. How depressing!!!

      • Joe H.

        Suzanne,
I would like to see his college records to see how he applied for tuition aid!! I am wondering if he applied for government grants under a foreign student rating! If he did and they were federal grants and if as he says he is a natural born citizen, then he is guilty of a federal crime!!!!

      • Jana

Suzanne, I agree with you. Obama has proven that he is not Pres. of all of the people. He does not even recognize Republicans, so if you are a Republican, or if you are a Libertarian, or even if you have gone to a TEA Party, he does not consider himself as your Pres. Therefore, I don’t consider him mine either.

      • Rod

      • Warrior

        Interesting perspective:
Charlie Munger, Warren Buffett’s longtime business partner in Berkshire Hathaway, warns in a new column that the U.S. economic empire is crumbling before our eyes, thanks to federal debt and poor planning.

In an article penned for Slate.com, Munger uses the form of a parable to explain how Wall Street’s love affair with gambling has destroyed America’s Main Street.

The article leads with this headline: “Basically, It’s Over.”

The Berkshire Hathaway vice chairman describes the economic history of Basicland, which happens to match U.S. history.

Early in its history, debt is unknown except for home mortgages and some consumer loans, and people live within their means. Speculation is discouraged, and commodities markets are small and tightly regulated.

Under this rational system, economic growth skips merrily along at a steady 3 percent, Munger explains.

Taxes are limited and pay for only “essential services” like fire protection, courts, and defense. Most taxes are collected on imports, and government spending matches that tax income. Debt via government bonds is limited.

Then things take a turn for the worse.

“The extreme prosperity of Basicland had created a peculiar outcome: As their affluence and leisure time grew, Basicland’s citizens more and more whiled away their time in the excitement of casino gambling,” Munger writes.

Financial services soon grow to account for too big a portion of the economy, Munger says.

“The winnings of the casinos eventually amounted to 25 percent of Basicland’s GDP, while 22 percent of all employee earnings in Basicland were paid to persons employed by the casinos, many of whom were engineers needed elsewhere.”

Then, a shock: Imported energy costs rise, and low-cost labor competition from abroad appears, Munger writes.

“Suddenly Basicland had to come up with 30 percent of its GDP every year, in foreign currency, to pay its creditors,” Munger writes.

The U.S. deficit — just the gap between spending and income in one year — is projected to hit $1.6 trillion in 2010. Total debt is project to exceed 100 percent of GDP starting in 2011.

In the parable, Munger strongly suggests that the United States take seriously the campaign of Reagan-era Fed Chairman Paul Volcker, who wants the big banks to cease pretending to be banks if they expect the freedom to trade securities on the side.

“He suggested that Basicland should strongly discourage casino gambling, partly through a complete ban on the trading in financial derivatives, and it should encourage former casino employees — and former casino patrons — to produce and sell items that foreigners were willing to buy,” Munger writes.

As the parable ends, none of the politicians listen, and Basicland turn

If you don’t care whether the P.O.T.U.S. is an American citizen, then you are not aware of the laws of the U.S. and the Constitution. YOU appear to be the “shallow” one.

  • Norm

It all depends on who is nominated to run against him, and how the economy is doing in 2012.
Even George W. Bush got a second term. He was simply the best of two evils, at least in the majority view.

    • http://PersonalLibertyDigest Joseph A. Stone

It’s thinkers like you that has put this country in a free fall. We all need to ensure no one like O’Bama ever again gets elected to the highest office in this land. We need a president who loves this country and its constitution 110% and not someone discussed by its limitations.

      • TheSmartTiffany

“It is thinkers like you….” ????? – How funny. Maybe nobody should think for themselves. Let’s all just watch FoxNews! YAY then we’ll all be drones!

Jeff, anybody who disagrees with you and your radical viewpoints, sounds like me. Independents use their brains and don’t blindly follow a party mantra.

      • JeffH

Now eyes, that is just another of your bold faced lies.

      • eyeswideopen

Jeff, what are you saying, that Independents aren’t smart enough to pick and choose the correct political issues? Please, they are the only ones, who can admit that the Repubs and Conservatives along with the Dem’s have made piss poor decisions on every major issue that we have, and that is why we are in such a fine mess today.

      • JeffH

The other NEWS NETWORKS really cover up a lot of stuff……I want to see what is going on.

Tonight, they showed Obama talking about Acorn and how good they are.

You can google anything they say……

You are just bashing them because they do tell the news

eyes”i’m such an idiot” wideopen…why don’t you give me examples of the mistakes the “conservative party” has made? You’ve decided to start bashing conservatives and republicans in the same breath now, so tell me all of the bad things the conservative presidents have done? • Paul Z.

I can hardly immagine anyone running for President with any chance of winning to be worse than Obama. His trying to ram quickly Socialist policies are obvious and the only reason he was elected is because everyone was so mad at Bush, “a lot of it due to the media”, but Democrats were in power the last 2 years of Bush’s last term and they caused the financial collapse with sub-prime loans. Many Republicans didn’t even vote. I personally didn’t like McCain much but voted for him because I believed it much better than Obama and not giving the Democrats complete control. Look what happened. That’s why I like the Tea Party, pure American Liberty, let both parties know that if you don’t do what the People want, we’ll vote you out. This is the best thing that could of happened……….

    • Harold Olsen

The problem with voting for the lesser of two evils is you still vote for evil. People, myself included, need to STOP voting for people they do not believe in. I’ve been a registered voter since 1970 and the ONLY time I ever voted for someone I believed in were the two times I voted for Ronald Reagan. I don’t care who the candidates are in 2012. If I don’t believe in them they WILL NOT get my vote. I will ONLY vote for a candidate who has a record of being a TRUE conservative, which means, I won’t vote for any Democrats since I do not believe there is any such thing as a conservative Democrat. And these days, I’m not really sure if there are any REAL conservative Republicans, with maybe one or two exceptions. If the TEA Party movement means anything, maybe the American people WON’T just vote for the lesser of two evils any longer or vote for someone just because they have a certain letter after their name.

      • Joe H.

        Harold Olsen,
Even Rush was warning against splitting the vote on a third party today!!! He warns that it would almost guarantee Obambam a second term!!!

      • DaveH

Rush has been warning that since I was in my 30s.
The Republicans have been complicit in growing Government for many decades. They just have a different agenda than the Democrats, but it still involves bigger Government. Whether Government grows slowly or faster we are still getting ever closer to the critical mass where we can no longer turn things around with our votes.
Quit throwing away your votes on Republicans, except Ron Paul.

      • Michael J.

        DaveH,
I am liking Ron Paul more and more lately, but if splitting the vote leaves us in Obamaland 4 more years is it worth it, can we endure it?
Not voting for the lessor of two evils is a nobel cause, but can we afford it? I beleive we must be sure a righteous conservative rises from the masses. We need the Mr. Smith’s to go to Washington in droves.

      • eyeswideopen

DaveH, if you think that Ron Paul, will be able to change this country, you are living in a bubble. You honestly think the Dem’s or the Repubs will let him cut the programs that they like? Not going to happen. I voted for Ron, twice before, but realistically he will be just like Obama and not get anything done. He did win the straw vote at the CPAC this weekend, but the Dem’s will bring up the fact that he took 75 million in earmarks last year and he will have a hard time justifiying that he acted just like all the rest.

      • Sheila

        You’re right Michael;
Splitting the conservative vote is what got us Obama in the white house now. If it happens again in 2012 we will have 4 more years of that socialist fool in charge. I wish the repubs would put Ron Paul on the ticket, but untill they do, I will have to be content voting for the most CONSERVATIVE candidate in either of the two major parties, THAT HAS THE BEST CHANCE OF BEATING OBAMA.

  • Robin from Indiana

That poll would have had a different outcome on a conservative site. Conservatives do not want a liberal who doesn’t listen to the voters in office. He will be a one term president.

    • Harold Olsen

Hopefully, he won’t be in office even that long. If Republicans take over the Senate and they are able to grow a spine and a pair of cajonas, they’ll impeach that Nazi SOB. Though, I won’t hold my breath.

      • George E.

        Harold,

I really doubt Republicans will vote to impeach Obama unless he does something that’s obviously (to most Americans) egregious. They got burned when they impeached Clinton, so I doubt they’ll readily jump back into that fire.

      • s c

George E, this current crop of dirt bags couldn’t find a way to impeach Hitler. They’re so busy watching each other’s backs that they have what amounts to protected job security the day they take office. That’s just one reason why we can’t afford to have ANY career politicians.
It’s been that way for many years. It will take even more corrupton for enough Americans to become outraged enough to understand the depth and breadth of this treason-infested government.
As for the Obummerfuhrer, he deserves many things, but a second chance to destroy America is NOT one of them. He would not like or accept what he truly deserves. May he ‘enjoy’ it for many years to come – in another country – far, far away.

      • Jana

        Right on SC

      • http://Don'thaveone Sally

George, empeachment proceeding are already underway and will become public on May 26th I believe. I forget what group are doing it at the moment, but I do know that Dr. Alan Keyes is one of people behind it. Goooo Alan

      • Donna

Hopefully this is true. He has done so much, along with “pinkie” reid and “pineapple princess” pelosi, to destroy this country and what “we the people” believe in. They nees to follow the constitution and stop trying to diminish it.

      • FroddoB

It’s amazing how much of a short term memory folks on the right have… Remember Bush’s poll ratings??? In the 30% range (according to one even 28%, the lowest of any sitting president in history)? So whom should we have impeached? You all complain about the economy but it was Bush who got us here. You complain about the bailout, but it was originally Bush’s plan. You complain about how the health care bill is so bad, but Bush not only did nothing to help the people, he sided with insurance companies and even lowered the funding for the VA. You talk about the massive government spending in the bills, but forget that under Bush we grew the deficit exponentially. You talk about the American people being against health care reform, yet polls show otherwise and the lines for the free clinics being held around the country are very heavily attended. The problem with current-day republicans (my parents included) is that they are being hypocritical on just about everything. Get some COJONES (note the spelling, Mr. Olsen – plus, I thought republicans didn’t want bilingualism… ENGLISH ONLY!!) and use real stats, not the ones that are most helpful to you or the ones that are fed to you by Faux News.

        Froddo,

Don’t you recall and/or understand that GWB’s presidency was hit with a massive multi-terrorist attack on 9/11 that hit more than one of our major cities, causing a crippling effect to our airlines and many businesses for quite awhile. We also had the largest natural disaster (Hurricane Katrina) that our country had ever experienced hit seventy miles of Mississippi’s Gulf Coast, parts of Alabama and, of course, New Orleans. Last, don’t forget about the war in Iraq and the deck of 52 terrorist that he vowed to go after to help make everyone safer; all but 1 has been captured or killed now.

Terror attacks, a hurricane of the century, and war costs money. I think that you need to wise up and look at the big picture.

      • Cel

One year has been too much.

Look at who he has appointed as Islam Envoy….”Rashad Hussain”

This man was put on staff last Feb. called a news paper had some damaging words deleted….lied about saying it….said no, then I don’t recall, then after recording of voice discovered, I remember but it was taken out of content….he defended a man who had supported terrorist.

He has been put in place to protect the “Muslims”

Our country has had their eyes open….

We should have listened to Hillary Clinton.

I will feel a lot safer when this man and his crooks are out of the White House.

I pray that Obama gets more time to set this country straight. I hope that people can open thier minds to new ideas instead of insisting that we beat a dead horse. What do you have against building a new infustructure for tomorrow? This is what Obama is focusing on. This will create jobs by focusing on technologies that provide Clean Energy. It will take Americans to re-difine what they believe “The American Dream” is all about. It will take more than 4 years in office to get laws passed so that we can rebuild our economy.

      • Michael J.

        Tiffany,
The new infrastructure he is building is patterned after communist countries. Is that what you want?

        To Michael J.,

        Nine, doom kov.

      • Cel

        Tiffany,
This man Obama wants “CONTROL”….He thinks the government should control everything…….

Big government is not what Americans want, never have.

Over the years we have robbed people of a lot by giving out entitlement and not helping people to be independent.

Entitlements are not always good. Some families have lived on them for generations.

You need to study some history.

I don’t want my government to support me. I want to work for it.

        ***

      • Barney Murrell

        To Cel.
America is being driven into bankruptcy for conservative ideology purposes and you have the audacity to advise Tiffany to study history, but you are the one who needs to do so. When we had small government (prior to FDR’s New Deal) we also had a small middle class. Most average citizens lived at or below the pauper level (what the working poor used to be called).

From the 1700s to the 1930s, United States government primarily served the interests of American aristocracy at the expense of men, women, and children of working class Americans who were underpaid, underfed, and overworked. Thus, the Constitution, as originally implemented in law, applied only to white Anglo-Saxons who were either born to wealth or were smart and ruthless enough to obtain it; and throughout the generations, elite conservative Americans of various political parties continue to amass great fortunes while exploiting lower economic classes.

Wealthy conservatives have accomplished this by the remarkable feat of controlling government for their own benefit while convincing far too many naive average citizens that government programs for their benefit is “socialism,” or worse.

Government only works as well as those running it. And it worked quite well after conservative Republicans were removed from general control of it in 1933. But it all began to go downhill in 1980 with the election of conservative Ronald Reagan, who used supply-side theory and a compliant Congress of both parties to cut taxes and increase the national debt from less than $1 trillion in 1981 to $2.8 trillion in 1989.

Efforts to kill New Deal programs for average Americans reached new lows with the purposeful creation of deficits and debt. See conservative economist Milton Friedman’s two interviews: In A 3/10/2000 Hoover Institution taped interview Friedman says his view on taxes has always been to “cut taxes on any occasion, for any reason, in any way that’s politically feasible. That’s the only way to keep down the size of government.” (www.hoover.org/multimedia/uk/3391401.html).

From the an April 2001 issue of Hoover Digest conservative economist Milton Friedman advocates using the surplus for tax cuts because “the political argument for it is that it’s the only way to keep Congress from spending it..(and) that’s why for a long time now I have been in favor of any tax cut, under any circumstances, in any way, in any form whatsoever.” (www.hoover.org/publications/digest/3459146.html).

When GW Bush’s first Treasury Secretary argued against a second round of Bush tax cuts VP Dick Cheney told Treasury Secretary Paul O’Neill that Reagan proved deficits don’t matter (“Confessions of a White House Insider,” – http://www.time.com/time/magazine/article/0,9171,1101040119-574809,00.html).

      • Joe H.

        Barney,
While your knoledge of past history is good your knoledge of present is very lacking. While you may be right about the masses being under paid, over worked, and under fed, now they are over paid, over fed, and under worked!!! We are pricing ourselves completely out of the world market. We don’t have a big enough market here in the U.S. to support our workforce and we can’t sell on the world market, where do you think that is headed???

      • momof4

Tiffany my dear, wake up and smell the coffee. We as a nation are broke. WE will be lucy if we make it through this year and the last 4 years of spending. Obama wants to change this country into someting we will not even recognize and we the people will lose many liberties.

Tiffany,,In four years we will all be in rice lines speaking Chinese.. His approval rating today as I stated below by the Rasmussen poll was 22%:: We can’t wait 4 years.. We will do good to get through November 2010 elections to put in lots of new people who will be able to IMPEACH HIM:::Thank Goodness!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
