Progressives Call On Obama To Fire Rahm Emanuel

Progressives call on Obama to fire Rahm Emanuel President Obama’s long-time friend and political ally Rahm Emanuel has come under fire from a liberal group that claims the White House Chief of Staff has mishandled major issues on the president’s agenda.

Citing Obama’s falling popularity ratings and the Democrats’ growing political woes—most recently represented by their loss of the supermajority in the Senate after the Massachusetts special elections—the Progressive Change Campaign Committee (PCCC) has urged its members not to support the former Illinois congressman if he ever runs for public office again.

In particular, the group has attacked Emanuel for teaming up with Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid to give up on the public option, and for helping to put together deals with the drug companies in exchange for their support.

"There’s nobody in Washington who caves at the slightest hint of a fight with corporate interests more than Rahm Emanuel," said PCCC co-founder Adam Green, quoted by CNN.

"We’re making clear to Rahm that when he undermines progressives and the overwhelming will of the American people on issues like the public option, he will pay a political price back home," he added.

Writing for Progressive.org, editor Matthew Rothschild also alluded to the 10 percent unemployment rate and blamed Emanuel for it, saying he pushed Obama to reject the calls of Paul Krugman and Joseph Stiglitz, two Nobel Prize-winning economists, for a bigger stimulus package.

      I, also, was an AARP member. The day iit was reported that AARP was
      backing Obamacare, I went online and told the CEO or President of AARP
      (whatever her name is) that I was breaking all ties with that Co. I told her to take my name off all of their mailing lists: both email and “snail mail”. Each time I receive an email from them; I mark it as spam; and every piece of mail that comes to my mail box– I take a Pen and place a large X over my name and address, put RTS on it and the on the bottom of the envelope I put “ATTN: Go To Hell” I don’t want their garbage and I told them not to send it!!

        I’m mailing all the garbage back to AARP, telling them to “take my name and address off their mailing list because I don’t want my mailbox stinking with the stench of their endless lies and money-grubbing deceit!”

    Evertime I see the video of Obama on stage saying ” We are just a few weeks away, to FUNDAMENTALLY TRANSFORM” this country. I cringe all the time. And looking at those lost people behind Him cheering and clapping to his every word. Do they have any idea what’s going on? I also wonder what is on Obamas mind after he said those. He is probably thinking. “Oh, how Gullible these people are!”….

    Just another sign that everything is imploding in on the Progressive/Marxist movement. They are turning on each other, like a bunch of hyenas. When I first heard about Rahm Emanuel, and who he was connected with, and his history, I knew that this was the wrong man for the Chief of Staff position. I knew that we were in for a lot of problems. However, I have also read the Good Book, and know that this is the scenario that God has chosen to bring this country down. We have turned our back on God, pulling Him out of our lives (thanks to the Progressive movement of the last 100 years), and He’s been trying to get our attention, to turn back to Him. If you know your history, and read the Old Testament, you will know that Israel and Judah (yes, there were two countries of Jewish origin at one time) were rebellious as well. Those were the times when the Babylonians invaded and took Jewish slaves back to their countries… the time of Daniel, and the prophecy of our Lord and Saviour, Jesus Christ, was first announced… the 70 weeks, which the 1948 re-birth of the only nation to ever return back from the dead… Israel… which turned back on God’s time clock for the countdown to the 7-year tribulation, and the return of the Prince of Peace, Jesus Christ! Yes, we have not learned from our history lesson, and we are doomed to pay the consequences, just like Israel and Judah did. Maranatha, Lord Jesus!

The truth is that until the power of the lobbyists is exterminated or drastically limited we will continue to be spectators of the continuing decline and the ultimate demise of the grand experiment that we call the democratic republic of the United States of America. We human beings are fatally flawed. A substantial portion of our elected representatives in the national seat of power become corporate lobbyists upon their retirement or lack of re-election. How can we possibly delete or severely restrict the power of lobbyists when our current national congressmen would have to eliminate their own future retirement jobs? Is it not an example of Catch 22? The great majority of elected officials are, to begin with, attorneys. Lord, the evil that class of profesionals(sic) has cast upon us. Only term limits or our Divine Creator can save us now; and He, She or It doesn’t seem to want to get involved. So it is up to us. Only we can save us from ourselves.

      Term limits for one because the lobbyist will have to start over each time. 2. No pork allowed in bills. If a state is receiving a benefit for their state, that representative or senator cannot vote on that bill. We are not here to take care of States., States have to stand on their own like they did in the past, 3. Value added tax or flat tax put in effect as a sales tax and IRS shut down. They can go look for jobs. Department of Health Education and Welfare that was started by Carter, SHUT IT DOWN. Those items belong to the States. No government intervention either state of federal in insurance companies – competition is the greatest equalizer there is. I could go on and on but this would be a start.

    I love this “denial” of reality that the Progressives/Marxist have. It will take them down the sewer drain they so richly deserve. The idea that thier world is going sour for them because Rahm Emanuel hasn’t been Marxist enough is really very encouraging. I wish to quote from the text above “when he undermines progressives and the overwhelming will of the American people on issues like the public option” makes it quite clear they have lost touch with reality. The vast majority (60%+)of the people that live in the country I call home have made it quite clear they do not want Government messing with their health care. Government can’t run it own business, how in the world do people think it can run something as complicted as health care for millions. All the examples that the “progressives” point to as successful Government run programs are accross the board disasters.

    This entire administration is bought and paid for by big business. The Unions got Obama elected and they are sitting in his right hand pocket. With the Supreme Court ruling that corporations can spend unlimited funds in advertising for the candidate they favor I think we will see the banks speaking out loudly in favor of ousting this administration. I for one want this administration out NOW! They don’t listen to what the people are asking for -even after the election in MA they are still not “getting” it.

      The Obama White House and the Democrats are in a panic right now. They want Americans to know they understand our frustrations with the Bush administration. They are so out of touch, they still believe what they say will touch the hearts of the majority, which grows in numbers everyday. Rahm will be the first of many called on the carpet as the “progressives” turn on each other. The Dems and the liberal left know nothing more than to place the blame on others. They will be making excuses until the last one bites the dust!

      A little off the subject, but beware of Hillary and Obama’s aggressive attempt to embrace and enter the US into a “binding” United Nations treaty on global control of international trade in firearms and ammunition. This would be a first step in their march on our sovereinty and ultimately on private ownership of firearms in every nation. The world gun-ban axis, created and funded by George Soros, is called the International Action Network on Small Arms(IANSA)and is ultimately behind this push for control.
      Former Ambassador John Bolton explained in an NRA interview, The admiistration is trying to act as though this is really a treaty about international arms trade betwee nation states, but there is no doubt -as was the case over a decade ago-that the real agenda here is domestic firearms control.
      We need to contact or meet with our representative to deliver a simple message: No U.N. arms treaty under any circumstances, not now or ever.

    Who actually thought that Obama, in his campaign, saying that he was going to fundamentally change this country meant that he was going to destroy this country first and then rebuild in the manner that he thinks best. No-one was looking at this clown’s past and his association with so many radicals. I haven’t seen anywhere that he actually associated with “normal” thinking people who actually love this country. Progressives, (communist lovers) need to be deported to a socialist country of their choice and placed on a list of people never to be left into this country again. We really don’t need them here. Let them build their utiopia from scratch in some third world country where they don’t have to irritate people that are happy with their form of government. I now look at Democrats and many Republicans in a whole different light and I don’t like any of them and want them out of office and out of the country.
    Look into the GOOOH.com website or the Oathkeepers website where they’ve already started with a Constitutional Convention and you can read the minutes of that meeting last year and this year I’m sure will be even better. This Administration is a failure and even if we come out of this economic problem, it isn’t anything they have done. The drug companies are pretty powerful but no one makes people get on medicine. A healthier lifestyle would keep people off of drugs.

    Whilst I neither trust nor like Emanuel he alone is NOT responsible for the debacle which America is facing. The hard left in the Democratic Party thought with Congress, the Senate and the White House they could drive through absolutely anything on their wish list. They still believe that if they push hard enough all will be well, and the President is just as committed to this as anyone else.
    The fact that a committed Democratic State such as Mass. could return a Republican should tell them, but no they try and tell everyone that it was a vote against Bush, they just don’t get it. The fact that the only person to mention G W was the loser, and that the winnner campaigned on rejection of Obamacare and National Security should tell them something, but apparently they are not hearing.

      What is sad is that “they” have us arguing about belief systems and philosophies that have no more relevance to solving our problems than an argument between ancient Egyptian priests as to who is more important, Horus or Osiris. The politicians with the help of the media distract the people with arguments about the insignificant.

      We have REAL problems with health care, energy, jobs, housing, climate, the wars, terrorism. Both sides need to put aside petty bickering and put their efforts into REAL, PRACTICAL SOLUTIONS.

      As a people we have to decide what we really need to do to address these problems. Obstructionists on the right and nut jobs on the left are providing nothing that actually helps.

        Ask the people in Canada, New Zealand, Denmark, France, etc. where no one is bankrupted by health problems and no one is denied care by greedy insurance companies. Government healthcare CAN work really well when properly administered.

        They approach medicine like we approach the fire department. No one calls it socialized fire fighting. They don’t ask for proof of insurance before saving your house from a blaze. Firefighters are treated with the respect they deserve because of their dedication and courage. Fire departments are government agencies.

        The same can be true of medical practitioners.

        I believe fire stations get Government subsidies and grants etc: Doctors, “if they are lucky” the person will have insurance, medicare, and medicaid or the individuals hard earned cash that’s been laid back for retirement. They won’t receive anything from the Government, or grants. There is quite a difference!!!!!!!!!!!!

        Let’s see Arkham: 1. obama care: Emanuel suggested dropping the public option so 2000 pages of the bill would pass instead of 2001. I do not care for him but his advice to the pres was correct because 80% of us know the public option is toxic.

        2. Energy: During the Bush era they elected to push forward with offshore drilling…but what happened? Now we still rely on 70% imports for oil. Drill baby drill while working out energy efficiencies, smart grids, hybrids.

        3. Jobs: Everything this administration has passed such as the defunk stimulus and now possibly more stimulus? None of the first stimulus was used for real projects which create real jobs. The problem with progressives is they come from academia. Dr. Demming says one can have all of the education in the world (progressives) or nothing but hands on experience (blue collar workers). Neither of which will then have true knowledge. DC is full of people who truely believe they know what needs to be done yet they have no true knowledge how.

        4. Housing: Barney Frank….need I say more? Yes both sides are really to blame here because the goal was to have everyone own a home….hopefully we have learned our lesson.

        5. Climate change: Double tax on industry = less blue/white collar jobs and more people dependent upon the gov. which is what progressives want. Every family will see thier utility costs “skyrocket” and the cost of all goods will also increase….meaning double tax on the middle class.

        6. Defense: this should be the main goal of our gov….defend our country with every means possible.

        Sorry Grundy, Obama does not have a “birth certificate from Hawaii” he has a “certificate of birth from Hawaii” As I said on another link there is a difference. A “BIRTH CERTIFICATE” shows mother, father, place of birth, date, time of birth, sex, weight, length, delivering Doctor, race, etc: A “CERTIFICATE OF BIRTH” only shows that you where born. That is all he has been able to show is a certificate of birth from Hawaii.

        The real “birth certificate” which has been shown, tells all of that information listed above, but it is from Kenya!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

        Obama made huge promises that went unfulfilled… but come ON, we gotta stop staying “bush is gone” when the fact remains that his three trillion dollar mess is still stinking up the joint.
