Watch out saying the “Tribulation” is starting right after the “Rapture”. Their me be another parenthetical age between the Rapture and the Tribulation. This “Larkinian Interval” (thanks to Clarence Larkin) may be a time for the World system to 1) Rebuild Babylon into a mega-city 2) degenerate because the “salt” of the Earth have disappeared and the 3) Re-emergence of Occult phenomena that was being restrained during the Church Age. There might be an “interval” of a thousand years between the Rapture and the Tribulation ….

So when you go back to Church this Sunday ask your Pastor about a “Larkinian Interval” between the Church Age and Daniel’s final week …….

We have just conversed on the some THEOLOGICAL arguments affecting governement. I have found some of the following books as being very interesting on this subject.

On the subject of “corporeal” fallen angels (different from the idea of the demonia) – The Spirit World authored by Clarence Larkin……

Another very disturbing theological treatise is “The Antichrist” by A. W. Pink .

But I feel the most disturbing of all the recent Theological Arguments are that of Peter Goodgame’s
“Against World Powers”

I don’t necessarily agree/disagree with everything these authors say ! I’m just a sophomoric student on this topic. These great minds are very thought provoking on these subjects. I recommend Hal Lindsey’s earlier book “The Road to Holocaust” as definitely a theological treatise that pertains to the problem of recent Republican foreign policy as it pertains to Israel.

If their are any atheist/secularist conservatives who cannot stomach a theological treatise , I recommend “The Ominous Parallels” written by Leonard Peikoff. Definitely a good atheist who has something interesting to say.

thanks for the reference sources but I study the Bible from a greek and hebrew Pastor-teacher. I have read Clarance Larkin’s book on dispensations. My Pastor also was an expert on Escatology and prophecy. So I think I have a good idea about what the Bible says about the future events and prophecy.

I agree with you that government can’t make us happy. But we do still need a government, one that is protecting our rights not trying to rule us with laws that go against the Constitution. I think blaming those that we have elected though is missing the mark, we can not lay blame on Steele or anyone else for the not being represented the way we want. We, by we I all the voters, put these people in office we allowed them to take the power that they now wield over us. We can not put up as a nominee someone who we think is in the center, but who is just as progressive as the other candidate, & think that we are going have a more Constitutionally run government. We need to stop looking for the guy that’s the best speaker, or who we think is the most intellectual or that might be the most photogenic. We need a Conservative that is “Radical”, & by radical I mean one that will strictly follow the Constitution & not looking for that middle of the road candidate (which is always nothing more than “Progressive Light”). They could stutter & look like they have frogs strapped to their face, as long as they were honest, fairly smart, had a lot of common sense, & said that they would shrink government & not take all my money. Some one like that would have my vote, & I believe are the people we should be looking for. It is something that we need to do, we can’t look to Steele, Hannity, Limbaugh, Beck or anyone else to do it for us, instead of being lead we all need to become leaders.

To say that it is the Republicans in office for the type of government that we have is like blaming your pencil for the mistake you make when writing. My whole point wasn’t that those in office haven’t taken us further & further down the Progressive road, but that is our fault for the type of candidates that we have put up to represent us. The problem isn’t that we have 2 different parties, but that we have the same party, one that wants to push a Progressive agenda on us fast & one that is doing it more slowly, just with different names. To say to people, change to a 3rd party, only takes the same voters that have putting these people in office & having them vote in a different party. Unless you address what is really wrong, which is everyone looking for the candidate that is in the center (which is really means slightly less Progressive than the Democrat) then no matter what party people vote in you end up with the same government. It is not a new party that we need, it is a new way in which we look for a Republican candidate, not looking for the person who rides down the middle of the road, but one that actually stands for Conservative principles, it’s a change in our attitude as voters not a change of the same voters with the same attitude to a new party. I know you are passionate about the Libertarian Party, but if you were to get a lot of new voters to come over to your party, but they have Liberal ideals, & that end up putting up a Liberal thinking candidate, what will you have accomplished. You can’t take dirty water & put it in a different glass & think that it’s safe to drink, you have to filter the water first.

Exactly Tinwarble. Watch what happens at the next 9/12 march on DC. So many people, including myself are awake now. We want to know so much more about our potential candidates than if the are left or right and that is what it is going to take to reset this country. It is being pushed in a complete death spiral now with the plain attack on the private sector.

I have been to DC several times in the past two years fighting for the industry that I work for very existence. One of our senators (Burr) and one congress (Myrick) seem to really understand. The rest are lost. Their legislative assistants (clueless 20 year olds who are related to someone important) have told me more than once that industry as a whole needs the type of lobbyists that Sierra Club, etc do. My reply, this may be so but their only goal is to eliminate industry while ours is to create and sustain high paying jobs.

I’m on the same page with you. The system is corrupt and therefore I think everyone that works within it eventually becomes corrupted by it, regardless of their party affiliation. If all I can do right now is slow down the constant drift towards progressive socialism, I’ll do that. However, longer term we do have to change the system, or we won’t get a second chance. I think Dave is already there. In a few years, we may come to the same point as well.

Exactly my point, you can’t be driving along and throw your car in reverse, first you have to put on the brakes.

And Dave, Libertarians & Conservative Republicans have more in common than you may think. We both want a smaller government & agree on all but a few points. It doesn’t do your cause any good to continually attack Republicans as the “Lesser of two evils”, it will not win many over to your side. Sometimes it is better to form an alliance with those that have similar goals, than to think that it is you against the world.

I’m not in the business of winning people over to my side. I just speak the truth. And that truth is that Republicans do not understand freedom any more than do Democrats. Both have built Government ever larger with a few shiny exceptions such as Reagan and Ron Paul (who is really a Libertarian).

The Libertarian Party embodies elements of Both Parties. The Libertarians respect people’s ownership of their bodies and their property. That means they can make all the screwed-up decisions they want, but they just don’t get to ride on the shoulders of others who have done the right things.
Many of the Republicans are not Conservative. They are right-wing. They want to be our nannies. Controlling people usually end up pushing those they wish to control in the opposite direction. People behave their best when left to be free. Many Republicans don’t understand that concept.
Conservatives respect the freedom of the founding fathers. Liberals want to cast that freedom aside and enlist Big Government to do their bidding. I consider many of the Republicans to be Liberal.
The Libertarians understand the Freedom that men crave. And they respect the property of those same men. Neither of the two major parties comes close to those principles.
I will always vote for Libertarians. Never for Democrats. And only for Republicans if I have no other choice.

I respect you, your opinions, and your choices. So, please don’t take anything I say as anything to the contrary. But, just to share my view, I see political power as the party that can get the most votes. Obviously, without this power, you cannot implement your policies, ideas or values. So, getting elected is a prerequisite to doing anything you want to do in politics. Getting the most votes often means compromising your policies with others that have similar ideals so you can build the largest coalition of voters. If you feel you can’t compromise your policies and values, then you will likely not be able to get enough votes to win elections. This is one of the reasons why I think it’s probably necessary for conservatives, moderates and libertarians to work together under the Republican Party banner to get our candidates elected so we can control the political agenda. I think even Ron Paul recognized this, when he joined the Republican Party, and is working to change it from the inside rather than running as a Libertarian.

I am willing to except the flaws of the the Republican Party, but that is why I am trying to bring the party back to it’s Conservative values. I to feel that Republicans have lost their way, but I feel the best way to change that is from the inside.

I don’t want to make you angry, because I look upon this as a purely intellectual debate and don’t see this as any personal attack. But frankly I don’t see the Libertarian Party as the solution either. It seems to me that Libertarians would wield freedom as a sword that they would push through the heart of civilization. Freedom does not exist in a vacuum, nor is freedom exactly free. It has never come to those who seek it without sacrifice, which sometimes means the sacrifice of what you want for what is right. And a civilization, without at least some rules, will only fall in to decadence and be left by the wayside. Our forefathers saw our nation as free one, but not one without laws to govern us.

Now, I know as a Libertarian, you will respect my freedom to express my views, as I, as a Conservative, will do for you. But I hope that we can keep this as gentleman’s disagreement and not consider any of these comments as attacks. I just hope that you will respect my fight for my party as I respect the fight you have for yours.

A lot of Libertarian ideas are indeed scary, but they certainly wouldn’t destroy civility. I believe they would increase civility because voluntary contracts are much less aggravating then those that are forced upon us.

My point exactly, blaming a party or saying that a party is better does no good. It isn’t the party, it is the people, and we have to take the responsibility for the people we have elected. If we can’t put up people who will hold true to what our forefathers wanted for our country, we will never limit governments hold over us. And even though I respect & can agree with most of what our Libertarian friends, like DaveH, believe, I feel they just go a little too far the other way, and would lead us down the same road as Rome.

My memory sure isn’t short term, but I talk to so many who tell me, “Why I never heard of that.” That answer goes with a lot of different things such as the many different things Obama has done to put our country down, to the Communist and Marxist as well as Socialist that Obama has put in as his Czars.

I understand. However, keep in mind it’s people like that that have to be energized some how to get off their duff to go vote. My reading of the political environment is that the left has gotten a little complacent since winning big in the last election, and many of their voters are not paying attention and are not energized. Also, many on the left aren’t real happy with Obama because they think he’s moved to the center on many of the issues that they want him to govern from the left on. In the meantime, he’s lost almost all of the moderate and conservative voters who helped get him elected. The right, on the other hand, sees Obama and the Democrat Congress as the most far-left group we’ve ever had and are very, very concerned about their policies. In addition, the majority of American people don’t like the health care reform bill, the cap & trade act, or the immigration reform act that the Democrats are pushing in the pipeline now. On top of all that, the economy is still in the tank and it’s highly unlikely the jobs picture is going to improve enough by next November to inspire a lot of confidence in the Democrats ability to improve things. So, as I see it, you’ll see a flood of energized conservatives and moderates go to the polls, and only a trickle of liberal voters next November. Obama’s administration is looking a lot like Clinton’s first term to me. Both have let health care legislation stop their political initiatives dead in the water after the first year. Clinton was smart and politically savvy enough to triangulate with the Republicans during his last two years of his first term to get some popular conservative legislation passed (NAFTA, welfare reform), which helped him get re-elected for a second 4 year term. However, this didn’t make him very popular with the Democrats at that time. He only regained his popularity with them when the Republicans impeached Clinton and started beating up on him after his Monica escapade. At this point, I really don’t think Obama will be as politically savvy as Clinton, and change directions to save his administration. I think he’ll let these unpopular legislation take him down in his first term. I don’t think he’ll win a second term. This will open an opportunity for the Republicans once again. I surely hope they don’t blow it this time. Conservatives are losing patience with the Republicans.

I am a Conservative Black Voter, 58, who did not vote for The BUM as president and got blasted for being an Uncle TOM by some of my friends but I told my friends i love Uncle Sam and they were the Uncle Tom’s to Obuma. I love my constitution and Bill of rights but Obuma is trying to destroy them or ignoring them along with Polocy, Reed, Dode and other Demonuts so all I have to say to all the libs is to impeach O”bum”a and themselves, while they are at it. More than 90% of Blacks voted for Obama. So that “many” is apparently not too numerous.

I think the number that voted for Obama was actually closer to 95%. However, I hear conservative African-Americans talk whenever I can on Fox News and talk radio. So, I know there are a number of them, even if they are in the minority. Still, I believe many African-Americans are conservative in many of their values and beliefs, but just don’t, or can’t, identify as Republicans. Having said that, I’d be surprised if the there are more than 25%-30% in this category.

Also, there have been a number of Blacks that are having buyers remorse over there Obama vote. I would say that some that wouldn’t have considered themselves Conservative before may be thinking that they are more so now.

I’m conservative because I’ve studied the Bible long and hard and learned about freedom and the constitution as well, so believe it son, I am Black American and that makes me an American born and raised not from any other country but the good old USA and love it here, but what I don’t like is ignorant people who don’t appreciate our great country and the freedom that it offers to everyone or Demonuts who want to change the system instead of improving on it like Our Bum As president wants to do, along with the Demonuts who are blind or maybe not so blind but want the change it to inslave us all like in Russia or China etc,. I tend to agree; vote ‘em all out and start fresh. I don’t agree however, that whoever wins should have full support of the people.

I believe part of the intent of a 2-party system is to provide sort of a built-in checks and balances. I also believe open, but civil dissent is what helps keep us “free”.

I personally will not give my full support to a President or Congress person or Senator that I feel relies less and less on the U.S. Constitution, Bill of Rights or who even attempts to further remove God from schools, government buildings, U.S. currency (such as it is)…and I will dissent if and when he/she tries!

Obviously you don’t respect or want the Constitution to be followed or you wouldn’t be pushing religion in the educational system. I recommend that you read more of our founding fathers writtings and acknowledge that they were right in trying to keep religion out of the government, and education. Using your ideaology, the ruling party could decide what religion would be acceptable and enforce participation. I share Christianity, but I understand why our Constitution doesn’t endorse any religion, or allow any specific one to be forced upon any citizen.

I understand what you are saying and I believe you are right in my opinion. First of all parents should be teaching their children Christian values and not leave it up to the schools. I taught my children and they are the better for it . The schools were ignorant to the Biblical principles and I would not want them to do my job any way, they would do it wrong because they were and are ignorant about the Bible. That really is the church’s job AND PARENTS also. But I noticed that when i was growing up in school when we prayed and said the pledge to the Flag it instilled in us patriotism and respect for the higher creator which they don’t teach in schools and i think its played an effect on the monsters in schools today, who have no respect for teachers and rules or adults. So maybe we should allowed prayer in schools at least, the brats would not be so bad like they are now.

Prisoners seem to be getting more and more rights all of the time, and I agree with you. I thought that voting was something that should be a privelege, but there are too many gimme people in prison for the Democrats to leave them out as voters. However, they do choose to ignore the votes of our service men and women. I have heard that approximately 40% of their votes are never counted. (These are the ones serving on foreign soil)
We are quickly losing our values in this country and finally we are getting mad about it and hopefully will do something about it.

There’s an answer to this problem. It’s Free Markets. The banks or institutions who don’t serve their customers fall prey to those that do.
Instead of certain people advocating Big Government as the solution (Liberals) to those dastardly banks and financial institutions, they could pool their money and start their own honest (joking) and beneficial institutions that don’t want to make money. In other words, put their money where their mouths are. It’s so easy to mind the business of others when they have no skin in the game.
Indeed, the Government should protect us from fraud, but they are too busy minding everyone else’s business to do that very basic function.
As Government has become more involved in the market over the years there has been more fraud, not less.

Thank God we still have Glenn Beck,Bill Oriley, Shawn Hannity, Rush Limbaugh Etc. Etc. telling us what is happening.

I’m wondering a little about the Kool-Ade you may be partaking in without even realizing it. Sometimes the truth hurts, and both parties (Dems and Repubs) have contributed to the hurt at various times.

I think it’s the delivery of Beck’s, Hannity’s, and Limbaugh’s messagae you don’t like. I watch Beck, Hannity and O’Reilley more frequently than the puppets on the MSM stations. I occasionally listen to Limbaugh on my drive to work and while I do think he is very hard hitting and sometimes theatrical in his presentation…I feel he usually ends up being spot on.

When it’s all said and done…I listen, research what I can and make my own informed decision. An informed decision is less likely when getting your source of info from the MSM since they rarely offer a balanced commentary…only their liberal interpetation. At least FNC offers both and the viewers can make up their own mind.

The fact that Rush makes money offering his opinion on talk radio and selling political opinion books, says little about whether is opinions are correct or not, I believe. Would you say the same about others who do this, including liberal politicians, like Al Gore, Hillary Clinton, etc?

Rush probably doesn’t care about us. He doesn’t know us, at least not on a personal basis, nor do we know him. That doesn’t matter anyway. What does matter is whether he offers anything of value that helps us understand or evaluate our politicians or political system. Some of us believe he does add value in that regard.

I dont agree that Rush doesnt care. He makes a lot of money because he is smart and well accepted by the american public. a lot of people listen to him. He serves a very good purpose by alerting all working people who dont have time to follow the every more of congress, on whats actually going on. Youd all better listen

I do wish we could get this eligibility issue behind us once and for all. I’m afraid this won’t get resolved until after Obama’s term is over, or worse yet, ever. That’s just another stain on our political system, in my opinion.

Whether he’s eligible or not is a minor issue. He’s trying his level best to destroy what made this country great. That’s the real problem.

It’s going to happen the minute he signs the healthcare bill, that will be the beginning of the end of our freedom as we know it.

We probably won’t agree on anything else, but I do agree with you on this point. I don’t think he’s done anything that calls for impeachment, unless he’s falsified his eligibility to be President. It would be nice to get that issue resolved soon, and once and for all.

He is purposely pushing Congress to exercise powers that aren’t granted by the Constitution, and he’s a lawyer so he sure can’t plead ignorance on that issue. All politicians swear to uphold the Constitution. They are knowingly breaking that oath. That alone is grounds for impeachment but it isn’t going to happen with Democrats controlling the Congress.

Dave, can you be more specific in what illegal things Obama is pushing Congress to enact?

Forcing people to buy Healthcare Insurance, taking over the Healthcare Industry, taking over the energy sector (Cap and Trade). The Federal Government under the Democrats is trampling their Constitutional powers.
By the way, Eyes, read the Constitution. It’s less than 1% of the size of the Health Care Bill. Then keep in mind all the conflicting opinions that result from that short Document. Imagine what a field day for Lawyers the Health Care Bill will be. If you want Chaos, the Health Care Bill will please you.
