Palin and Schwarzenegger quarrel over global warmingWhile the debate about global warming rages on, two Republicans—California Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger and former Alaska Governor Sarah Palin—have been trading jabs and publicly ridiculing each other’s climate policies.

The clash started after Schwarzenegger criticized Palin’s op-ed article in The Washington Post where she questioned existing climate change science, according to the Christian Science Monitor.

"What was she trying to accomplish?" asked the California governor, quoted by The Financial Times. "Is she really interested in this subject or is she interested in her career and in winning the nomination [for president]?"

Schwarzenegger continued his attack on Good Morning America on Tuesday. "I think there are people that just don’t believe in fixing and working on the environment," he said. "They don’t believe there is such a thing as global warming, they’re still living in the Stone Age."

Palin, who earlier called on President Obama to boycott the climate change summit in Copenhagen, soon fired back through her Facebook account, asking "why is Governor Schwarzenegger pushing for the same sorts of policies in Copenhagen that have helped drive his state into record deficits and unemployment?"

By the way, there are a number of people who know the truth and have studied under such people as Les Feldick – It is so plane – that is why the series Left Behind was such a block buster in sales. Can’t wait until 2012!!!!! Just have to hold in there as best we can and protect ours as best we can.

    I think Marc Jeric and I are on the same page, very nice statement of facts by the way. I was goint to get more in-depth but had to go out for a bit.
    Sadly, in all of these attempts for consolidation of power, this agenda is still making constant headway. Though it may be a “two step forward-one step back” approach. In each case, the lies and intentional mis-statement of facts eventually are found out and covered by conservative media; however, the goals of what those in power wanted are still eventually acheived. We can fight it, we can gripe and moan, we can do everything in our power to expose these evil groups of men; however, in the end the Bible states it very clearly: a quasi-world government of extreme power and vileness will be setup, though as the book of Daniel states, partly weak and partly strong, and it will not hold up for long. Wars will be part of this system, which means that the entire world will not be under this regime.

    What kills me the most, and disturbs me to no end, is that “OUR OWN” media and government officials are not only complicit in this endeavour, they are pushing ahead full steam with complete knowledge of what is going on, to not only sell this country out, but to setup a world Autocracy. A government where the individual is of no consequence, where each person’s worth is only based on his contribution to that system, and any group not in agreement with it’s policies are made an enemy of the state. Are they Insane??? Do they not realize that at some point, a person of extrement evil will gain control of this system and make life miserable for all. Are they worshipping oppression, conformity, and death?

    Schwarzzenkennedy and Algore are two of a kind, both are trying like hell to milk the taxpayer and make themselves into heroes, both are poorly equipped to be leaders and know little of science or the implications of global warming, cooling, CO2 or environmental structure but they sure do want your money and intend to make a grab for it no matter what you say.

    Palin has brought down a RINO crook, been a decent Guv, can shoot straight and skin a crooked politician.. I don’t think she is the kind of bull sh*ter that Schwarzzenkennedy and Algore represent

      You’re right, Ontime. Giving Arnie or Gore the benefit of the doubt on global warming is grounds for long-term therapy. Arnie is to science what gore is [DUH!].
      Palin, at least, has tried to educate herself and get educated by others. Arnie and Gore are as aware as whining 5 year old brats who think world peace and savig polar bears are just ‘a wish away.’ Arnie and Gore sucked it up faster than a human vacuum cleaner at a cocaine banquet. Arnie’s ‘expertise’ has left California in shambles. Does ANYONE think Gore will do ANYTHING for ANYONE?
      Palin CARES. Arnie and Gore are frauds. I would at least listen to Palin. Arnie and Gore can flush themselves. Good riddance!

    Sarah Palin is backed up by 31,478 American independent scientists; Schwazenegger follows the lead of government-paid drones of the far-left persuasion. Consider:
    1) There was first in the 1970′s the global cooling scam (see e.g. Newsweek April 28 1975 on the Internet); the government-paid scientists (90% of them are rejects of private enterprise) recommended to fight the new ice age by sending our war planes to cover the polar ice with soot in order to increase solar heat and so prevent crushing of New York skyscrapers by the new glaciers;
    2) When that did not work we had the global warming hoax in the 1990′s, proclaimed by mainly the same government-paid scientists (Dr. Hansen of the NOAA, for example); to prevent the massive heating, fires, flooding of coastal cities, disappearance of Florida, California, and Caribbean islands, massive hurricanes, global famine, and other catastrophic events we should nationalize oil and gas and coal and electricity companies;
    3) after 11 years of considerable cooling we are now faced with the climate change flimflam where whatever happens with our climate we should nationalize oil and gas and coal and electricity companies; and why not our banks, car and insurance companies while we are at it. To prevent this catastrophe the best vehicle presumably is international agreements enforced by the United Nations world government.
    As for the influence of carbon dioxide as a greenhouse gas: on a normal day the atmosphere contains 20,000 ppm (parts per million) of water vapor and about 300 ppm of carbon dioxide. The government-paid scientists say that an increase of 100 ppm of CO2 over the next 50 years will result in a catastrophic warming. The thermal absorptivity of water vapor is 4 times larger than that of carbon dioxide; it follows that the CO2 increase will increase the overall thermal absorptivity of the mixture by about 1/8 of one percent. The production of methane from livestock flatulence and the rotting swamps (called “wetlands” by the environmentalists) vastly surpasses the influence of human-produced CO2.
    There is the Global Warming Petition Project (see Internet) where 31,478 US independent scientists declared that there is no anthropogenic (human-caused) global warming; of these 9,029 are scientists with PhD degrees. Our environmentalists tried to sabotage this effort by submiiting phony names with phoney degrees – and then claimed the whole effort by the Petition scientists was a fraud. It took us 3 years and a lot of private money to verify the credentials of all the signatories and clean up the Petition of those saboteurs. See also Manhattan Declaration with more such signatories, plus a large number of scientific groups from other countries who state the same.
    I am one of these signatories, MS and PhD degrees from UCLA, with majors in thermodynamics and heat & mass transfer.
    I think to fight this communist attempt to secure a permanent hold on power should not be fought on the narrow grounds of more taxes – that is the losing proposition; where about 50% of the population is on some kind of welfare we will always be outvoted. The battle should be fought and won on the firm scientific basis.
    4) And now we have “cap&trade” power grab.
    SCAM – HOAX – FLIMFLAM – POWER GRAB!!!

      You may recognize part of this. I feel it portrays the truth of the matter: In light of the e-fiasco just exposed, I ask you all to consider the following: The physicist Wolfgang Pauli was known for his often less than polite criticism of the work of some of his colleagues. He would sometimes exclaim “wrong” (falsch) or “completely wrong” (ganz falsch) when he disagreed with someone. Near the end of his life when asked his opinion of an article by a young physicist, he sadly said “it is not even wrong” (Das ist nicht einmal falsch). The phrase “not even wrong” is a popular one among physicists, and carries two different connotations, both of which Pauli likely had in mind. A theory can be “not even wrong” because it is so incomplete and ill-defined that it can’t be used to make firm predictions whose failure would show it to be wrong. This has also become the situation of “Man Made Global Warming/Climate-Change” theory from its beginnings to the present day. This sort of “not even wrong” is not necessarily a bad thing. But there is a second connotation of “not even wrong”: “Something worse than a wrong idea”, and in this form the phrase often gets used as a generic term of abuse. In the case of anthropogenic climate change theory, the way some scientists are abandoning fundamental scientific principals rather that admit a theory is not supported by facts is something of this kind: worse than being wrong is to refuse to admit it when one is wrong. If you “follow the (research) money”, it leads to the political – which equates with power, raw power. By the way: “Cap’n Trade” is only a smiley face mask put on by “Cap’n Tax”. (Think Jack Sparrow and Black Beard, respectively.) You also might wish to read “Unstoppable Global Warming (Every 1,500 Years)” 2nd edition.

    Global Warming? Guys give it a break; in the early 60′s Time magazine and the “experts” said the earth was going to end in a cataclysmic Ice-Age brought on by the industrial revolution, and now it’s warming acording to their “religeous” like enviro-zelousness. Hmmm, lets see.
    When all common sense is thrown out the window, and incredibly inept ideas are promoted through the channel of “expert” opinion: then follow the money trial.

    1st: a global viral outbreak (swine flu), requiring the “Need”
    for a Global Disease Control center, with no national controls
    reporting only and directly to the UN. Now it’s been confirmed that this was a Lab virus that supposedly somehow escaped.

    2nd: a global monetary crises, requiring the “Need” and creation of a global governing body with it’s objective of having complete oversight of national currencies, with the end game of proving the “Need” for a global currency. You know, National currencies are sooooo unreliable, I mean they have only been around since God created the earth.

    3rd: a global enviromental disaster, the earth is going to burn up; which obviously means the “Need” for a Global treaty and creation of a governing body to tax all nations to fight this evil “Humancreated-Monkeyboy-CO2-spawning” bacteria (oh wait, were talking about people here).

    Pardon me if I take a moment to vomit at all of this bunch of complete nonsense. Jesus himself said “be not deceived”, as lies and deception would be a prominent sign of the end kingdoms. It all comes down to power hungry leaders who will do anything to rob their people, destroy nations, create crises after crises, in order to consolidate their power.
    It’s called Globalization! Anyone who disagrees with the need for this “change” is called a narrow minded, un-enlightened, fool and ridiculed, threatened and ignored…

    If anyone disagrees that Globalization is a bad thing, then you need to take it up with God himself, the Babylon king Nimrod attempted to create a one-world-dictatorship and we all know how that ended.

    One last thought: Any time your leaders feel that they need to lie, coerce, deceive, bully, threaten, conduct meetings in secret, pass laws without congretional oversight or the peoples agreement then it can NEVER EVER be a good thing. THE END NEVER JUSTIFIES THE MEANS!

    Jeff, Jeff, Jeff!!! Man made global warming is a hoax!! Did you not read the scientists emails where they discussed changing the factual statistics to fit their need to show global warming? They have falsified actual numbers to reflect what they want their warming numbers to say. And, scientists were NOT researching and talking about global warming since the 1970′s. In fact, they were talking of just the opposite. In 1976, scientists and the cover of Time Magazine were talking about the new mini ice-age that was upon us. This is why all the warming alarmists use the past 30 years in their hysteria!! When you use data from the mid 1970′s (a mini ice-age period of temperatures) to today’s temperatures today may be slightly warmer. Why not use the 1930′s? A longer period of time? Because they wouldn’t have the data needed to show warming. But yet, the warmist alarmists will say you have to look at data over a longer period of time. Well, lets be thankful they were not in charge when the glaciers began to melt!!!!!!! What would they have done?? Kill all the dinosaurs because their excrement is causing the glaciers to melt? Hmmm, when the glaciers melted there weren’t any SUV’s, Coal fired plants, and the population of the world was about 100,000. How do you explain that?

    As far as global warming being a hoax, my god people, do some reading. Real reading. Scientists have been researching and talking about global warming since the 1970′s and the science behind it goes back to the 1850′s.

        You are partly correct. The evidence is overwhelming…that man is not responsible for planetary warming. Greenhouse gases are but one of many factors affecting earth’s climate and even most greenhouse gases are not manmade. Water vapor is the most common, over 95% by volume of all greenhouse gases and it is not manmade. CO2 is a distant second coming in at a cool 3-3.5%. And, less than half of all CO2 is manmade, some of it a RESULT of warming. Science is not done by consensus; it is done by data, and the data do not support manmade global warming.

        I like Sarah, and apparently an awful lot of other people do as well. She doesn’t come across as a professional politician (which is something a lot of folks really want), shares most of my conservative values, and has demonstrated her willingness to take on the establishment (even within her own party), something not many politicans are willing to do today. Also, she seems to be very bright and doesn’t intimidate easily by those who disagree with her. I think she is a fighter.

        Frankly, I don’t understand why so many liberals attack her like they do, unless it is because they are afraid she will be successful running a political campaign against them. There does appear to be some credence to this point of view since the Dems are hammering her very much like they did Newt Gingrich when he was Speaker (when he was successful driving various conservative programs during the Clinton administration, and was considering running for President). I believe the strategy is to try to discredit the person so badly with continuous focused allegations that he/she can’t possibly win a political race. I’ve noticed that there is almost always name calling and impling that the person is somehow not intelligent enough to handle the responsibilities of the office. In other words, if the person hasn’t been annoited by the political elite, then he/she can’t be part of the group. This is disgusting, and really a disservice to our republic.

        I agree with you that if a politician is not annointed by global elite forces he or she can’t be intelligent. It’s thesame thought this intellictual people have about Reagan. I believed Sarah is brilliant, she speaks simply and clearly the way a common person thinks. The problem with many intelligent people who claimed they are conservative is that their minds goes beyond the common sense that is why they hardly can’t understand common ways and means. Any ordinary person can run a good government even if he or she is not brilliant as long as sincerity, courage and honesty are the basis of his leadership. Obama is not brilliant, otherwise he can’t be satisfied in his long years of his career as community organizer. All his ideas are fake, he is just a mere agent promoting his bosses advertisements.
        He sorrounded himself with brilliant marxist people that is why they they are succeeding to destroy america. A fighter like Sarah whom they call quitter can be a great leader together with fellow honest, couragesous people arround her,mixed it with her common sense.
        by the way, backing out a little bit is not a sign of cowardness, in a fight you do not have to be play in offens all the time to win, backing out is a strategy. Only proud person don’t use that strategy because they do not want to be criticized.

      Jeff, man-made global warming is just a theory. Face it, it’s just a theory with climate models that can be manipulated to support the theory (just like we can create climate models that don’t). Bottom line for me is you can believe any thing you want, so long as you don’t impose your theories and beliefs on me and forceably take my money and liberties to satisfy those theories and beliefs. Think about it. If the roles were reversed, you wouldn’t want me forceably taking your money and liberties to satisfy my theories and beliefs. Would you?

    “Man Made” global warming is a joke. Global warming at any rate, is not actually happening either. We have been cooling for about 10 years. No CO2, No life on earth.
    That’s not to say we shouldn’t be taking a more responsible role in stewardship, just that a cap and Trade agreement is inneffective and designed to line certain people pockets…a total con.

    After reading the very large IPCC report and about other 10 books on the subject of climate change, I have failed to find anything other than speculation that indicates that CO2 issued by mankind is the source of whatever climate change is occurring. The arguement of believers seems to be “We have looked at possible causes of change and cannot identify a specific natural source, therefore man must be responsible.” Then they use models to make this claim seem reasonable. There are very large forces forces driving the climate in different directions, and the believers say that man originated CO2 is the one factor tipping the scales toward warming. Two fundamental problems with the model based arguement is that it is not possible to model phenomena involving small differences between large quantities with any expectation of accuracy, and it is not possible to claim validity for any model that extends itself beyond the range of the measured source data. In short, no sound basis exists for making any claim that man is causing warming.

      Joe, I agree with you. These people are going absolutely crazy out there on a theory.
      You know, there have been so many theories that have been proven false after a short period of time. There have been so many health theories that have been proven wrong, one in the 60′s was that mothers should not nurse their babies. Wrong. Another one is that to lose weight you should eat a lot of carbs. Wrong.
      I mean people are here and you can see, feel and touch them, and study them too.       Joe, I agree with you. These people are going absolutely crazy out there on a theory.
      You know, there have been so many theories that have been proven false after a short period of time. There have been so many health theories that have been proven wrong, one in the 60′s was that mothers should not nurse their babies. Wrong. Another one is that to lose weight you should eat a lot of carbs. Wrong.
      I mean people are here and you can see, feel and touch them, and study them too.       I think you’ve brought up some good points, which I don’t really recall reading before now. As an engineer myself, I think I understand what you’re saying about modeling. Unless you’ve actually got real data (not predictions) that spans the range you want to predict to test your model, you really don’t know how accurate the model is for that range. Since the global warming predictions fall outside the data set we’ve got from historical records, there is no way to really know whether the models are accurate or not. Also, since there are so many variables to model with huge differences, the probability of the model being very accurate would be very low (maybe one in a million….). Correct?

      I notice you didn’t speak to the quality of the data used in these models. It’s my understanding that the data has been obtained in the following ways. 1) Recent temperature data has been obtained from historical records over the past 100 years or so (since data has actually be recorded), while 2) longer term temperature data is estimated from tree ring information. In the case of recent historical data, I understand that the data is suspect in many cases because there hasn’t been a universally acceptable standard method of collecting the data, and even where there were reasonably good standards they weren’t always adhered to. In the case of longer term data, it is very difficult to accurately determine atmospheric temperatures using tree rings. We know this isn’t very reliable data because tree ring data varies widely with recently collected temperature data.

      So, even if the models were actually good representations of earth’s climate which produced results closely and repeatably representing what’s really happening with the climate (very low probability of this) when run with good quality data, we should have very little confidence that the results obtained are any good because the data used is not very good. Do you agree with this assessment?

      Absolutely correct! There is NO solid evidence that the earth is “warming” and if there were, it would NOT be because of CO2. It’s called the “sun.” The doomsayers like to talk about how many parts per billion the CO2 content of the atmosphere has increased. So what? C02 is but 0.03% of the atmosphere and has not change significantly for thousands of years. Now how can a gas that is that small of a percentage of the entire atmosphere cause the earth to warm? Answer:It can’t.

      Calling CO2 a “greenhouse gas” is also nonsense. Anyone who has plants growing in a greenhouse knows it is warm inside because of the plastic exterior holding heat in, not the gases inside it. Comparing CO2 in the atmosphere to a plastic tarp on the exterior of a greenhouse is patently false. In fact, CO2 as pointed out is taken up by the plants in the photosynthesis process. Calling CO2 a “pollutant” means every person on earth who is breathing is damaging the environment. What garbage! These must be the same junk science dunderheads who believe cholesterol causes heart attacks
      (which of course it does not).

She sure does’nt need any help from us!       LOL! I think Obama has to worry about his own abilities to be re-elected, not depend on Arnold to fight his battles. At this point, Obama would not be re-elected, and if he has any smarts about improving his chances to be re-elected, he should reverse everything he has done in the 11 months he’s been in office, become transparent about everything, and re-gain the American people’s trust. I honestly don’t think it’s in his genetic make-up to do so. They’ve actually discovered that there is a brain defect in those that believe as he does, and there is nothing that can be physically done to correct it, either surgically or medically. So, unless Congress wakes up and makes him a lame duck for the next three years, we’re pretty much screwed.

And the latest one – CO2 is dangerous? Clearly someone doesn’t understand how plants work and didn’t take basic high school biology. Plants take in CO2 and release Oxygen. Doesn’t that sound like a GOOD thing? Humans and other living animals exhale CO2 – how long can you hold your breath? Sure we need to be better custodians of our environment, but the USA is a fractional percent contributor to “green house gasses”, and until the likes of China, Russia, India, etc change (they won’t) there won’t be any impact. If the USA “shut down” today, there wouldn’t be any noticable effect. Let’s wake up, stop drinking the “global warming” kool-aid (hows the snow where YOU live?), and stop lining Al Gore’s pockets!

      Good catch Darrel, yes I have noticed the tons of snow hitting places it doesn’t usually hit, or at least not this early in the year. I though it was fitting that the Annointed One returned from Hopenhagen and stepped right into a foot and a half of “global warming” coming down sideways…perfect!

      What happens when we reflect all the infrared solar radiation? Since “one-ton tomato” uses such a handle, I would say, maybe, he has an idea of what it takes to make a plant flower, and therefore, produce vegetables and fruits (tomatoes). That same infrared solar radiation (the orange-red spectrum is what causes the plants to flower, the blue spectrum causes the plants to vegetate, to produce leaves so that photosynthesis can take place, producing the leaves and energy to produce the subsequent flowers and produce) is being eliminated, therefore, our food source is going to be affected. Shall we call it global famine, next, that will be the world cry? We’ll have no one but the “environmentalists” who screamed global climate change!!!!

      Come on, people… this global weather change is cyclical, and in actuality, the earth is returning back to its normal cycle… we’ve been very fortunate to have a very long abnormal cycle, which is why most people don’t remember the “normal” phase. And no, I’m not a scientist… just a common-sense idiot who studies nature, and connects the dots.

      The mentioned chemtrails are real, I’m watching them being made right now. You can see alot in the big sky state. And I know there are being done all over the world. Some of you just need to pull your head out of your electronics and look up into the sky.

      Also the mass mind controlling it can produce to dumb the people, It’s quite evident.

      A lot of people are concerned about the environment and it seems to be an emotional subject. We should be responsible for taking care of it but a lot of this Ozne depletion so-called science is nonsense designed to protect patents. They started out saying that Freon 12 (R-12 and R-502) was to blame because of the chlorine content. They said the chlorine went up into the ozone and destroyed it. The Montreal Protocol was the big lie that started this garbage that was designed to protect Dupont Chemicals. What they never thought about was the earth is three-fourths covered by oceans that evaporate water sending tons of chlorine up into the atmosphere and it does no harm. They say that rain brings it back down. It doesn’t rain over the whole ocean all the time so what is the difference with R-12 and R-502? The same thing is going on now with C02 but this time it is about re-distributing wealth from America to undeveloped nations – plain and simple. That is what Obama and the liberal of the world are all about. In the end, they want two classes – those in power with the wealth and governmental authority and those that serve them. The science behind global warming is false, as everyone knows that when Al Gore put a team together the scientists left the committee and had no part in their lies. If you believe Al Gore, you believe a lie.
