Republicans Blast Obama Administration Over Alleged ACORN Cover-up

Republicans blast Obama administration over alleged ACORN cover-upLast week, Republicans on the House Oversight and Government Reform Committee accused the Obama administration of covering up a variety of alleged offenses committed by the Association of Community Organizers for Reform Now (ACORN).

The controversial anti-poverty group is under tremendous scrutiny after a scandal involving a hidden camera video showing ACORN employees reportedly offering advice on how to cheat on taxes and loan applications to a couple posing as a prostitute and a pimp.

The liberal organization is also being investigated in five states for voter registration fraud that supposedly helped several Democratic candidates get elected.

"The current administration is fast becoming, in reality, the war room of ACORN’s political machine," said Representative Darrell Issa (R-CA), quoted by The Washington Times.

"I am concerned that the era of corruption promulgated by ACORN and protected by the White House is just the beginning," he added.

Republican frustration boiled over as the Justice Department cleared way for the Department of Housing and Urban Development to continue to appropriate funds to ACORN after Congress introduced a provision that barred federal funds to be allocated to the organization.

A nationwide investigation into ACORN has been launched by the Justice Department, but Representative Lamar Smith (R-TX) believes that President Obama’s close ties to the organization will lead to a biased probe, CNSNews.com reports.

Smith has requested that the attorney general appoint a special prosecutor to oversee the investigation into ACORN.

    For those interested, a Lucas Daniel Smith on February 19, 2009 was in Mombasa, Kenya, Africa and obtained a certified copy of Barack Hussein Obama II’s Cetificate of Birth there.     I would remind all that there is no provision in the U.S. Constitution for the election of the president and vice-president by the people. Art. II, Sec. 1, Cl. 3 provides for their election by the Electoral College. The Founders reasoned that the masses were too uninformed to render a considered choice. (That was changed by the Twelfth Amendment, which see, only because of the tied vote in Thomas Jefferson’s election.) Today we have witnessed the reason for it, candidates for office say one thing to sway voters then do another after they are elected.

    There are still no convictions or even charges brought against ACORN for voter fraud and believe me the Republicans have searched diligently, and there were just a few bad apples turned up in this organization of thousands, as there is in all large organizations so why don’t you wait to see if there are any voter fraud charges brought forth? So far NONE! As far as CZARS are concerned Georgie had eight more. LOL! Finally someone in the White House that can pronounce Nuclear, unlike Bush and Palin with their NUKULER.     I knew all the dealing he had with ACORN way before he even started running for President but everyone would tell me off in spades because some how he lied himself right into the white house.

    Just look up the names Barry Santora or Barry Soetora on cuil.com or ixquick.com or look up obamacrimes.com and entertain yourself.

    He had to become a citizen of Indonesia in order to go to school there because they were at war and that was there law.

    I just wish other people would have looked all this up for themselves.

    Reading these posts leads me to believe that almost all of you get your news and information only from Fox, Rush, Savage and others of the same view point. If you expanded your information base and took a little time to research things on your own you would not be so misinformed. The majority of you guys probably think that we found weapons of mass distruction in Iraq and that Saddam Hussein was involved in the 9-11 attacks even though several times Bush personally admitted that neither were true.

    Acorn has had its problems but voter fraud – illegally registering people who actually voted – has not been one of them. What is claimed to be voter fraud are instances when Acorn has turned in registrations in accordance with state laws that appeared to be fraudulent while at the same time notifying the state agencies that the registration appeared to be fraudlent or were Acorn worked with states to prosecute people who had been hired to register voters who were turning in fraudulent registrations to get paid more (thus also cheating Acorn).

    Obama certainly has his own worts but he is better than Bush was. It is not the Democrats or liberal policies that got us into the mess we are in now. It was the Republicans and conservative (in particular deregulation) policies that did. Remember when Bush came into office the projections were that the Nation’s entire debt would be paid off by the end of his two terms. Instead of following fiscally sound policies, Bush doubled the National Debt from $5.3 billion to over $11 billion.

    It might suprise you that I have been a registered Republicn since 1968 and was a lobbyist from 1980 through 2003. I am sick of the constant lying by Republican politicians and “concservative media” but I refuse to let the nuts and liars drive me from the Party I was once very proud to be a member of.

      Haven’t seen and probably won’t see an honest to goodness REAL investigation into ACORN or SEIU corruption. My gut tells me what we have become aware of is just the tip of the ice burg but you can bet they will fight to keep the rest of it below the waterline and out of view.

      And in regard to the Bush years, plans have a tendence to derail when your country gets attacked and and there’s some A-kikin’ to do.

      And don’t forget the whole issue surrounding Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac. It was the Dems demanding a hand’s off Policy because of how “sound they were.” It was the republican Party that tried to warn the nation. I still remember Barny Frank stating I don’t know why everyone is so concerned, Fannie and Fredie are solid…

      And as to the National Debt…5.3 B to 11B ? now TRILLIONS and were climbing like were on an the executive express elevator… Oh Yah… you’ve sure convinced me.

Or maybe you just want to remain blind because most of your local TV stations didn’t get on the bandwagon of news about ACORN, UNTIL FOX BROKE THE NEWS AND THE CZAR who admits to being a communist. They are in the W.H. pocket to publicize only favorable news. There are 2 sides to every coin. Americans are fed up with the BS that we are being handed and notice, BHO didn’t include FOX in the interviews only the other TV stations because they tell the truth and as Jack Nicholson said, YOU CAN’T HANDLE THE TRUTH, that’s what the White House is afraid of. BHO’s trial in Jan., will reveal the truth about what he is, not what he says he is. Thank God he’s got his teleprompters, otherwise he wouldn’t know a sore throat if he had one.

      Give us some credit for being able to think for ourselves. All we have to do is watch C-Span and listen to those politicians, and hear Obama’s words from his own mouth to know what it going on. If you don’t heed the warning, you will suffer the consequences. Fox News commentators tried to warn us about Obama. But it was his own words that made me not vote for him. Everything they were saying about him is coming true. You Democrats are like ostriches, heads in the sand and butts in the air waiting to be kicked.

    There is some explanation for taxes used to suport a organization such as ACORN other than it is used as a huge slush fund for the Jackass Party, the money, your taxes is given to and then put back into party support and does you not one bit of good. It is a crooks dream, no doubt the jackass Party is now the most corrupt it has ever been and with a majority they are raping the system and locking up loose ends to keep this power and influx of free monies coming in for as long as possible. What is needed is a RICO law for politicians and political organizations not sanctioned by the public ballot and whose abuse of law is used to consolidate political power. The question is is the Real Repulican Party capable of putting such law into effect or even sponsoring needed political law without having it sabotaged by the RINO’s?       You read wrong, the supreme court refused to hear it and the lower courts have dismissed these cases many times for everyone who filed a law suit on his birth certificate. True Christians value the truth it is unfortunate you did not seek it out for yourself rather that spreading this untruth.

It is now obvious that the Hawaiian certificate is a fake, however that doesn’t necessarily mean it will be discredited, too many people in high places want him in power. So you needn’t worry about him being removed from office.

      Kevin, there is incontrovertible proof that Obama was born in Africa but those records have been sealed, as well as the false birth records in Hawaii. I just read where a Larry Sinclair, who served three stints in prison for dope trafficing, and is openly homosexual, is running for Congress next year, in Florida’s 24th district. He has claimed openly that he and then Illinois-Senator Barrack Obama had a homosexual love tryst on November 6 & 7, 1999 in Chicago’s southside. Mr. Sinclair said he provided the cocaine they both snuffed and smoked. Whether that’s true or not, remains to be proved.

        There is full proof he was born in Hawaii and nothing is sealed anywhere, this is just far right wing propaganda and apparently that is all you listen to or read as it is clear you have no interest in the real truth which is out there in many places if you want to find out that. All the lawsuits filed against him have been dismissed and appeals have failed, does not that tell you something, courts are designed to deal in finding the truth and sometimes they get it wrong but when with different judges it should send up red flags for you that your beliefs are suspect but I’m guessing you do not want to know the truth, your hatred of Obama does not allow you to.

    I do have to agree with this writer, but where does this leave the American people? Are they to just stand buy and let this administration and it’s henchmen play the American people for fools to enrich them selves along with there surrogates.
    I think this will truly not last and it may take a cleansing, as Thomas Jefferson I think said that civil disobedience was a good thing to cleanse a nation of it’s illnesses.

      Darrel R., I think your “will truly not last” is wishful thinking. The only thing that will stop it is bullets and blood, and I don’t see that on the horizon. A rebellion by our army against needless wars (we have troops in over 130 countries now) would be nice, but I wouldn’t hold my breath. They are now questioning, more and more, what we are doing in the middle-east, that’s a good sign. We are told by Secretary Gates and Army Generals that we must remain in Afghanistan until “we win” but no one will define what that means. If less than 100 al Qaeda are there, and the Taliban has moved to Pakistan, doesn’t ‘win’ mean behave like we want you to, or else! Yet we are told our troops are not occupying Afghanistan, they are only educating and organizing their people for their good.

    Whew! Quite a reaction. The people elected Barrack Hussein Obama as president because he promised to end our wars in he middle east and bring our troops home. Before he was sworn in, I said “No he wont. He said what people wanted to hear to get elected.” I believe he will be a one-term president, like Jimmy Carter, but he will nationalize as much of the economy as possible in the next three years. He was not born in the United States, thus he isn’t even eligible to be the president but the scary part is that he still is. That means there are very powerful people in high places who are protecting him. Barring another revolutionary war, there is no stopping him. The vast majority of Americans are now against him, and against their Congress for supporting him, but to no avail. Clearly, Congress no longer does the will of the people. Americans voted for change, but not this.

The world planners start with what they want our children to know and believe, then they design tests to ascertain whether students have attained that then limit teachers’ curricula to those subjects. Most children today don’t know the powers of federal government are limited by the ‘constitution’ or who George Washington was, you wont find his name in any school history books.

        Chuck B., That’s one way, but party loyalty is strong. The problem is most Republicans and Democrats don’t follow up to see if their man did, as he promised to do in his campaign. What we need is a constitutional amendment that will mandate the removal from office of those elected to office that fail to do, or try to do, what they promised. After removal from office, he should be put on public display in a stockade, for a few years.

        The people are waking up and even many that voted for Obama are now seeing the light. Obama is going to be a one-termer. Granted, he can do a lot of damage in those 3 more years, but I think he is going to be hobbled by a very unfavorable Congress after 2010.
        Despotic governments can only survive if they keep the people in the dark. I don’t think he can pull that off (he certainly is trying though). As his Union supporters and Community Organizers get more radical in their efforts, people will get fed up with the crap just like they did in the Jimmy Carter years.

      I have to say more about Czars. The Czar system is a model introduced in Russia by Lenin in 1917. There were commissars (czars) of food transportation and so on. Later there were commissariats, which later became ministries of all kind of industries: agriculture, oil, aviation etc. Gradually Russian people became propertyless. They even did not own home where they live. Nobody was able to sell a house officially, only as black market. If you die the house will be government property again if nobody from your family is registered officially.
      The institution of the Czars is not a joke; it is based on previous experiences of the bloody communism builders. It has to be dissolved immediately if we want to live like we did before.

        I’m not so sure it was white women who voted him in. I am one and know a lot of others who did not vote for him. The ones who voted him in were dead people, blacks, hispanics, and young, wet behind the ears voters. They voted for him because of his “CHANGE” rhetoric as well as it would be a historic event due to him being the first black president. Unfortunately, they didn’t really hear or understand what he was saying.
