Gingrich blasts Obama, plans rival jobs summit Former House Speaker Newt Gingrich launched a series of job creation forums last week in Cincinnati, one day before President Barack Obama held his own jobs summit at the White House.

Referring to his series of rival town hall meetings as the "real jobs summits," Gingrich said that he wants to get ideas from entrepreneurs and small business owners on creating jobs and improving the economy, CNN.com reports.

"President Obama’s ‘jobs summit’ in Washington, D.C. is an acknowledgment that the big government stimulus package failed to create jobs," said Gingrich.

"For an administration that is actively promoting job-killing healthcare, energy and big labor legislation, holding a ‘jobs summit’ is deceiving political theater in the midst of millions of Americans struggling to find work," added the former GOP congressman.

Gingrich, who has often been mentioned as a potential presidential candidate in 2012, is presenting a plan that will reduce payroll taxes, abolish capital gains and estate taxes and allow small businesses to expense 100 percent of new equipment purchases, Fox News reports.

On Friday, President Obama kicked off his White House to Main Street tour where he will travel around the country to speak with workers and share thoughts on job creation and economic recovery.

    I haven’t liked what I have heard from Gingrich until lately. Because of this it seems to me that he has now tested the wind to determine how to play out his run for the presidency. There are only a few that I have confidence in who have not changed their tune. I would seriously consider one of the following if by chance they decide to run; Ron Paul, Herman Cain, and Mike Huckaby.

    My first choice is Ron Paul. He has a consistent conservative voting record. He doesn’t believe in all these political wars that put money in certain so called conservative pockets. If we go to war he believes in getting the job done and getting out–or don’t go at all.

    Where is Obama’s original, long-form birth certificate that shows his father’s name and his mother’s name as well as the medical doctor and the nurse and the hospital’s name and place of birth? His father Obama Sr. was from Africa which means Obama is NOT a natural-born citizen and thus NOT qualified to sign anything according to the US Constitution!

    Gingrich is an unelectabe RINO. His support of the Socialist in New York State proved it. I disdain the illegitimate poser/usurper Barry Soetoro aka Barack Hussein Obama because of his clear Anti-American agenda; bowing and scraping to foreign leaders, apologizing for America, doing nothing for months while his Field Commander’s request for additional troops in Afghanistan sat un-acted upon on his desk, pushing a globalist agenda though his Cap and Trade Organized Theft of the wealth of Americans for the benefit of other nations, and promoting a disguised plan to gain political clout for Socialists (aka Democrat Party Leaders) through his so-called Health Care Plan….. HOWEVER…. Just because Gingrich fortuitously served with Ron Reagan, does not mean that he is a TRUE CONSERVATIVE; he clearly is not. I, and I believe, all other true conservatives will never vote for Gingrich…. We do not need another sell out apologist “TEAM PLAYER” with Socialists in Washington D.C., like we had with John McCain.

      Victor, Newt is a stealth RINO. He doesn’t have what it takes to ‘pull a Specter’ and let everyone see who and what he is. He might as well ‘convert’ and call himself a closet progressive.
      Newt is another Rockefeller. We didn’t need Rockefeller, and we don’t need or deserve Newt.

    Newt I do not trust none of you political leaders and this includes the President of the United States, I have not seen the economy get better at all I see a mess waiting to happen. I see people going nuts out here in the streets struggling to get money and its just a shame, I really believe that our new President is here to drive the economy into a depression in order to restore it. I just to not see where things are going to get better people do not like what I have to say well I bet I can ask how is your job situation sense we have this new President I bet your looking for a job right now. I think all of these Presidents have an agenda but I can say that President Clinton was the best yeah he had issues but he also cheated on his old lady but these wars are a bit much to much chance of ruining our country. Look at this United States now people are afraid to walk to the corner stores at night its a mess here and we have the nerve to go and fight in other countries and we are not safe in our own area’s.

    I am not voting for anyone in the next term, I will watch and let you damn republicans have your fun because your time is coming you have cause this mess we have and left it for Obama to clean up knowing damn well he can not do it, its a smoke screen the GOP’s, the radio talk show scammers like Glenn Beck, all of those dudes are in this together believe it.

    Fighting over other peoples oil taking there land and killing terrorist leaders like Saddam yeah he was a devil but who are we to judge when we invade other countries because we have the power we are causing our own destruction!

      I agree with most of your comments, however, the part in regard to Obama doing this just to fix it. It may FEEL that way to you but I seriously doubt that he would put his agenda in jeopardy just to be distracted and over-whelmed by EVERY thing that went wrong.

      Bush did behave like a moderate his last two years, probably aided in the demise of the GOP. Gingrich when speaker of the house and pushing the reforms with the contract for America did help make Clinton look good, Obama would do well to tap into Newts ideas, it’s obvious that Obama and those morons that he’s appointed as advisors have no idea as to how to solve America’s unemployment problems.
