CAIR Protests Government's Attempt To Seize Mosques, Muslim Property

CAIR protests government's attempt to seize mosques, Muslim property Federal prosecutors in New York recently took over four mosques and a skyscraper owned by a Muslim organization accused of terrorist ties, but the action has drawn heavy criticism from Islamic advocates.

The government’s civil complaint in federal court against the Alavi Foundation accuses it of being controlled by the Iranian government and seeks the confiscation of more than $500 million in assets, according to the Associated Press.

However, the Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR) has expressed concern about the government’s actions, suggesting they may have implications for the First Amendment rights of members of the American Muslim community.

"The seizure of American houses of worship could have a chilling effect on the religious freedom of citizens of all faiths and may send a negative message to Muslims worldwide," said CAIR national communications director Ibrahim Hooper.

He also stated that he feared the move could fuel a backlash resulting from the recent shooting spree at the military base at Fort Hood, Texas.

On Nov. 5, a gunman identified as Major Nidal Malik Hasan, an army psychiatrist and a Muslim, opened fire in the Soldier Readiness Center at the base, killing 13 people and wounding 30 others.

    Quite a gautlet of diverse opinions. Some of them are quite radical and all quite emotionally filled. America is a nation of people blessed with the priciples of free speech and religious practices. Our legal system is founded solidly on its belief in the Christian Judaic principles of government. Anyone, including our leaders and fellow Americans, that try to subvert these priciples to their own selfish goals should be dealt with harshly. Our nation exists solely because of the sacrifices of our brave men and women of the past. Any “so called religios group”, like ISLAM, that professes the ideology of oppression to convert its non-members, is nothing more than a ruse. Whole nations have fallen into this trap by believing that this cult is nothing more than a peaceful form of religious beliefs.
    Islam has for centuries spread around the world at the point of a sword, putting to death anyone who would stand up against it. If in the course of our nation’s existence, we come across people in our society that push for the subversion of our freedoms, whether openly or secretly, they should not be afforded our protections. If these Mosgues and buildings are proven in our courts to be guilty of funneling money towards our enemies, they should be forfeited. Places that are used to brainwash its listeners into seeing America as the enemy and pushing for a war on us and our beliefs, should be closed, and seized. Shari law is nothing more than a belief in radicalism. If these people want this type of freedom, they should go back to the Middle East and enjoy this type of existence.
    Our President, has become part of the problem in America. He stands for nothing, standing on the fence in defense of our basic principles. America has made mistakes in the past, but its history of intervention into areas of abuse are quite praise worthy also…all the World Wars, etc. In Iraq we stopped the killing of 100′s of thousands of Iraqi’s at the hand of a dictator. Then the radicals stepped in with the holy Jihadic cries. We must remain true to our basic principles of freedom, but aware that our enemies are even amongst us also. God Bless…Happy Thanksgiving everyone.

    I don’t know exactly what evidence is used to make the determination, by let’s just assume that it’s enough. It makes sense to deny enemies of the United States resources to use and profit from in any and all ways. Drug dealers often have there property seized. A Mosque is suppose to be built in order to provide a place to worship, not to provide a meeting place to coordinate activities against the US. I’ve had discussions with middle easterns about how they thinks we (Americans) are rediculous because we do not cut off the hands of captured thieves. They laugh at our “gentle handling” of our criminals. Doubtless these radicals have been laughing at how we have allowed them operate with such freedom. Keep laughing buddy, you jst might wake up the sleeping giant.

    PS-when’s the last time you saw/heard any political or religious muslim group say anything against these terrorist episodes at Ft. Hood? Maybe they’re afraid of retribution. In the mean time they’re enjoying and pressing all the liberties that the USA has to offer.

As an editor for a publishing company, I have had the opportunity to edit numerous manuscripts on terrorism. The authors of these manuscripts lived over there, and they KNOW what goes on. First of all, I was horrified with the very first manuscript. The Islams did unspeakable things to Muslims, and to their own people. One of the deplorable things they did was to take a teacher out of his home in the middle of the night–tied his legs to one motorcycle and his arms to another motorcycle. Well, the motorcycles took off, splitting the man in two. What they do to young girls is an abomination to human beings. They commit unspeakable atrocities. You call that peace-loving? I don’t. I call that evil. The information in these manuscripts were certainly true, and they opened my eyes. And if you think for one moment I would put up with that crap you are sadly mistaken. If these mosques here in the United States were/are guilty of deceptive practices with intent to harm America and the American people, then they should be abolished. If Islams are so great, why do they do the horrible things they do?
      You may call me igorant all you want, but by gosh, I will stand up for America first and foremost–I will not tolerate the evil that some religions are trying to force down our throats. Telling us that they are peace-loving and love America is not enough– they will have to give me PROOF that they are not here to destroy America.

Our immigration laws should be seriously looked at and it should be made very difficult for a Muslim to be let into this country. Our founding fathers didn’t want us to be like the European countries who had been fighting religious wars for centuries. They wanted everyone to have the right to pursure any type of religious beliefs without stigma and reprisal. Most of the founding fathers were Deists. Several years ago I was talking to an australian citizen(e-mail)who was alarmed and concerned about the infiltration of muslims into australia. Their refusal to assimilate,to abide by the laws of the land,buying property to build mosques and schools to teach sharia and teach their children to hate their host country and commit acts of terrorism in many different ways. I believe it was 2007 when the outback,tinder dry from drought burst into flames killing many australia citizens and destroying property. There was no way out.Many died in their cars trying to escape the deadly “fires.” After the fires burned out an investigation discovered the fires had been intentionly and intelligently set as to cut off escsping to safety. I’ve not heard anymore about the investigation.
