Unholy Alliance: How China and Iran Threaten Peace and Prosperity—Plus: Your Lucky Charm When it Comes to New Wealth

“The nuclear playing card… would allow Iran to fill a power vacuum in the region and fuel the fires of Islamist movements presently gaining steam in the Arab world.”
The Jerusalem Post Op Ed Page, September 29, 2009.

Oct. 1 marked the 60th anniversary of communist rule in mainland China.

Just four days before the Red Anniversary, China National Petroleum Corp. signed a contract with National Iranian Oil Co. to develop Iran’s massive South Azadegan oilfield.

Azadegan is the world’s largest oilfield discovered in the past 30 years. It has reserves of 42 billion barrels of oil—double the combined oil reserves in all of the United States.

China now owns 70 percent of this elephant oilfield. All that oil in the heart of Iran will go a long way to satisfying China’s unquenchable thirst for petroleum.

Already Iran provides 14 percent of China’s oil demand, but that total will rise sharply as this unholy alliance strengthens.

“China is looking for a landline connection to the Persian Gulf or endeavoring to create a ‘string of pearls’ chain of naval facilities between itself and the Strait of Hormuz,” warns Thomas P. M. Barnett in his just published book, Great Powers, America and the World After Bush.

By 2030 China will be buying 6 million barrels of oil per day from the Persian Gulf. That is twice what the United States is expected to import from the region. A vast amount of China’s Middle Eastern oil will come from Iran.

It is worth noting that just days before the Iran oil buyout, China announced that it will not support increased sanctions on Iran as a way to curb its nuclear program. Surprise, surprise.

In fact the Obama administration has been left begging for Beijing’s diplomatic support on Iran’s nuclear ambitions. Without it, the United States faces the unpleasant task of fighting another Middle East war. But Iran won’t be the push-over that Iraq was.

“Armed with a vast array of anti-ship and long-range missiles, Iran can target U.S. troop positions throughout the Middle East and strike U.S. Navy ships,” wrote Jephraim P. Gundzik in a 2005 Asia Times article.

“Iran can also use its weapons to blockade the Straits of Hormuz through which one-third of the world’s traded oil is shipped. With the help of Beijing and Moscow, Tehran is becoming an increasingly unappealing military target for the U.S.,” concluded Gundzik.

Unappealing? Yes. Unavoidable? Probably not.

Even the Obama administration understands nuke-toting mullahs in Iran will jeopardize peace in the Middle East and America’s economic security.

Saddam All Over Again

Two years ago Cynthia Tucker wrote in The Atlanta Journal-Constitution: “Should (or would) the United States invade a foreign country for its oil?”

“Of course we would,” wrote Tucker. “We’ve already supported coups, sent armies and invaded at least one country to protect our access to petroleum.”

Make that two if you count Kuwait.

Tucker points to former Federal Reserve Chairman Alan Greenspan’s memoirs.

“I’m saddened that it is politically inconvenient to acknowledge what everyone knows—the Iraq war is largely about oil,” wrote Greenspan.

Greenspan, the mother of all doves, even advised the Bush administration to invade Iraq.

"My view is that Saddam, looking over his 30-year history, very clearly was giving evidence of moving toward controlling the Straits of Hormuz, where there are 17, 18, 19 million barrels a day moving through,” Greenspan said.

That invasion was based on unjustified fears that Iraq had weapons of mass destruction. Seven years later it is almost universally understood that Iran is a short time away from building a nuclear warhead, with a ballistic missile system already on the launch pad.

All the while America faces a growing energy crisis. The U.S. is currently pumping less than 5 million barrels of oil per day. The last time the nation pumped such a frugal amount of crude was when Truman was President. Yet the situation is only going to get worse.

In just a decade the U.S. will be importing more than 90 percent of the oil it burns.

A lot of that oil will come from the Middle East; but only if the region is stable and at peace. This is becoming less likely as the revolutionaries in Iran continue to make their nuclear grab. A development which doesn’t seem to cause the least bit of concern to the world’s other superpower, China.

This is because China’s Cadillac economy is backed up by Pinto-like resources. That means that the nation that was enslaved by Mao Zedong will do whatever is necessary to provide oil to its masses, even if it means war.

The lessons of history are not lost on the Chinese. Poor planning by Mao resulted in The Great Chinese Famine. The result of that was 60 million dead Chinese. It’s a mistake the Chinese won’t make again, even if they have to counter the U.S. in a war.

Crude Profits for the Taking

The clock is ticking down on Iran. With China throwing its money and weight behind Tehran, it is certain they won’t bend to the United Nations (UN).

This sets the stage for a preemptive military attack on Iran by the U.S.

Meanwhile Israel remains a wildcard.

Military action by either the U.S. or Israel would quickly push crude oil past $100 per barrel and perhaps as high as $150 per barrel. This would be incredibly damaging to bonds and Big Board stocks.

This Talisman Offers Real Protection

Yet there are steps you can take to protect yourself financially.

One of my favorite petroleum stocks is Talisman Energy Inc. (NYSE:TLM).

Talisman passes the Goldilocks test, not too big and not too small. Its market cap of $17.5 billion is a far cry from Exxon Mobil and its $332 billion market cap. But Talisman is big enough to offer plenty of liquidity and it attracts institutional investors. And unlike Exxon Mobil and their multi-national brethren, Talisman is not burdened with downstream oil operations.

Talisman, headquartered just a couple of miles from my office in Calgary, Alberta, offers a ton of leverage to rising oil prices.

Finally Talisman’s properties are far removed from Koran-carrying maniacs. The company drills for and pumps crude oil and natural gas primarily in North America, with some operations in the United Kingdom, Scandinavia and Southeast Asia.

Action to take: Call your stock broker and buy shares in Talisman Energy (NYSE, TLM) at market.

Yours for real wealth and good health,

Why can citizens not band together and file law suits against our criminal leadership? Every left wing group at least fought for their messed up beliefs-why can’t WE THE PEOPLE? Domestic tranquility,Our blessings of Liberty-are being taken away as we speak. Why does the ACLU not seem to care about the civil liberties families are losing every day? Not to mention our money, jobs, and homes? Pretty hard on marriages, and our childre to survive-let alone prosper. But don’t be cruel to an ANIMAL-it literally makes me sick. Where are the lawyers defending the tax paying AMERICANS??

    • Robert

The majority of politicians are lawyers. Does this help answer your question?

    • http://NONE JOHN ADAMS WEAVER

Yes, we can if we know who we are “filing lawsuits against”, and the first lawsuit I would file is against the

“ANCIENT AND ACCEPTED SCOTTISH RITE OF FREEMASONRY” because they are “world controllers” they are “evil kings” meaning they do not “respect constitutional law, nor do they respect constitutional liberties” and have made it clear with the following moves:

They have “incarcerated a German in 1993 for stating the existence of a wicked conspiracy in our government that seeks to deprive all mankind of their freedom to worship God”! Then they tortured him into silence about the existence of such a “wicked conspiracy of evil leaders” who were “denounced even by John Quincy Adams” as the “seed of evil” and a “wicked conspiracy” in the days of the William Morgan murder, that is now “conveniently referred to as the disappearance of William Morgan”, by MR MACKEY in his encyclopedia of freemasonry, any organization that “claims to have the ability” to make their members “disappear” after they “blow the whistle” on their organization we should “carefully guard ourselves against”!

He called it a “secret combination” and they admit in their own writings see under “page 53 in the book Freemasonry its hidden meaning, that they admit to a “combination that is known only to a few, a key being too obvious”, what is obvious from this is, that the “masons admit” their “combination is indeed secret” meaning their “bank accounts” are secret, their “combined resources” are a secret that no one must know, and the reason they are kept a very well kept secret is because “people would faint” if they found out, just how much money this “evil order of kings” have absconded with throughout their history, enough to “become a real threat” to the integrity, the honesty and the working operations of our “own government” as well as that of all governments “all over this globe” for they are a “world wide fraternity of kings” and do not just operate in this nation but we have the “lion share of kings” in this world which puts us under their “complete domination”! After all the “ANTI MASONIC PARTY” has been “forever annihilated” or so MR MACKEY CLAIMS IN THEIR OWN ENCYCLOPEDIA!

To sum it up, under MACON and ROYAL ART, these kings admit to being “conspiring kings” and under secular lodges they admit to seeking a “secular kingdom” and not “universal salvation” for all “lodges of freemasonry” are “secular of this world and worldly”, to claim therefore that “freemasonry deserves the protection of a religion”, is “farcial, hypocritical and without merit”!

On the contrary, it is other religions, that need to be protected from this “wicked conspiracy of conspiring kings” for they alrady murdered two LDS PROPHETS, one catholic counsel to the president, at least one Princess in Great Britain and possibly many more we do not currently know about because they committed these murders in the dark, and then called them:

Extrajudicial execution, a convenient way to escape global justice! The “terrorists” kill their victims openly and everyone knows that so many more people were “blown up by suicide bombers” but who counts the “many quiet victims” that are “secretly murdered” all over the United States while “NO ONE IS WATCHING”, ONLY GOD DOES!

Just thinking about it, makes me “sick to my stomach”!

It is obvious that based on alleged accusations by former government agents who have written best selling non-fiction books and write that America has been infiltrated with some anti-American financiers or government agencies or charitable groups. Their books should be a wake up call for America. The world news reports that America’s dollar is diminished worldwide and many reporters paint a dark picture for America and believe that the writing is on the wall. Many anti-American countries are led to believe that we are their enemy. According to many news articles, it appears that our U.S. elected reps in Washington are recklessly leading the American people into a possible economic collapse by recklessly printing phantom money that doesn’t exist. So far, there has been no accountability for the persons involved in the housing crisis who became wealthy, but the bible carrying pastor gets arrested today. The corruption involved in the housing crisis has been swept under the carpet and laid to rest, yet if the housing crisis isn’t resolved before ObamaCare is implemented. we must ponder if we will we be headed on a downhill sprial of an economic disaster. And, don’t expect most of your U.S. elected reps in the White House to put the brakes on the reckless spending of U.S. tax dollars that will burden taxpayers for generations to come and enslave them. I predict the White House will continue to print trillions and continue to recklessly spend without creating jobs or stimulating the economy unless people unite and vote out those who tell Americans to do as they say and shut up. It is obvious that ObamaCare is unsustainable in the long term and the U.S. elected reps including the two that jumped the Republican Ship on 10/13/09, Olympia Snowe and Susan Collins, and voted for ObamaCare should not be voted back into office by their constituents in my opinion. They are part of the problem because they have knowledge that every U.S. taxpayer will be taxed about $400 per month for ObamaCare at a time when U.S. Citizens are financially suffering. So, if ObamaCare substantially increases monthly taxes which could be someone’s grocery money, then why not leave health care alone knowing that many Americans are paying less than $400 per month through their employers benefits?

There are reports today that that state that the “Dollar Loses Reserve Status to Yen and Euro,” written by Paul Tharp, NY Post, wwhich is big news. He stated…. “as the greenback was shockingly upstaged by the euro and yen, both of which can lay claim to the world title as the currency favored by central banks as their reserve currency.” Therefore, each American must ask their elected reps why they are voting to recklessly print trillions of dollars vs. tort reform and addressing pre-existing illness which is much more cost-effective.

While America is printing trillions of phantom dollars and diminishing the job market; increasing unemployment, and knowing foreclosures are on the rise, and bankruptcies hit an all time high which has created more homeless and helpless and hungry tent-city Americans, the American people should demand to know why these elected reps would pass obamaCare without a written Bill on the table. The people must file grievances and demand to know why public servants didn’t publish the new ObamaCare bill for Congress and the American people to read in advance. Americans must ask how can it be legal to vote on a bill that isn’t written or read?

On the other hand, we can look at China. China is doing the exact opposite of everything the public servants in the White House are doing. About 1993, I predicted on my talk radio show, Issues of the Day, and about 2 years ago wrote a blog on Town Hall, “China On The Move” and stated that China is the sleeping giant. China is quiet but consistently strategizing on how to create wealth unlike America’s elected reps who are figuring out how to create debt. China has been creating an economic wealth for years. They have been building up their arms and armies while American diminishes their military. China is buying precious metals from Austria while America remains silent. China is buying gold while America remains silent. China is now partnering with Iran for oil while America has oil that needs to be drilled. There is only one reason to consistently build massive wealth and that is to gain power. This is a huge problem for America and the world should our economy collapse because the U.S. elected reps know America is indebted financially to China and this administration hasn’t started drilling for oil on U.S. soil because we need to change our light bulbs and they need time to think about all these issues except increasing taxes and printing trillions. So, how much common sense does it take for U.S. Citizens to determine who will end up as the head and who will end up as the tail based on the reckless spending by the White House during an economic crisis that substantially increases taxes? Obama’s Stimulus phantom money that was printed by the secretive and no accountability federal reserve bank is a travesty of justice because there’s been no accountability to WE THE PEOPLE. In fact, can this phantom money cripple the U.S. economy because the interest alone can never be paid back to the big bankers who control the money? China has invested in their political agendas even if we dont agree with them, and continues to consistently invest their “real” money around the world. Where are the U.S. American made in the U.S.A. jobs? Retail is suffering. Car dealers are suffering. Banks are closing. Businesses are closing. And, AIG is partying. American corporations are moving out of the U.S.A. and to other countries as of January 2010. And realistically, nearly 18% of Americans are out of work. Also, the government destroyed farms, jobs, and crops in California and shut off the water to save the fish rather than the American people. The federal government is taking over private corporations and are increasing taxes for their services. They are mandating unconstitutional laws. The damage is being done and it may take decades to undo it if it is even possible. But one thing is for sure, the American people can vote, recall, and impeach public servants and file Redress of Grievances, so far. But, when people are hugry and out of work and can’t pay their rent because their U.S. elected reps compromised their integrity, principles and values, and hurt their own families, friends, neighbors and U.S. citizens and country then the people must unite and help each other. May God Bless America and the American people.

Maybe there is hope afterall if we the people have enough sense to toss out the majority of the ‘Benedict Arnold’ incumbants, in the upcoming elections. Another concern is that we need honest persons to register voters and counting the votes. It maybe already too late with all the digital voting now in place.
Beware of their latest rouse. That of mantaining civility in debating the issues at hand. Showing strong disagreement when commenting on divisive issues is unacceptable to the left. They conveniently forgot their own rouddy conduct in so called gay demontrations. Did we not see this last weekend’s example. Bear in mind that it had the support encouragement of the obamanation.

      • David

The upcoming NJ gov elections will be telling. If a repub wins there…the liberals in DC will run for the hills and halt work on these rediculous bills…..I hope.

      • http://donthaveone Beberoni

Projections are the dems losing seats in New Jersey and in Nevada right now according to the polls. The American public is about to speak loud and clear, so listen up libs.

      • eyeswideopen

Going to be hard in Florida, as one company owns all the voting machines… well, they own them in 65 of our 67 counties. They are owned by ES&S which is owned by Republicans, but I am sure they will be fair and honest.

      • David

Fair and balanced. Well actually not when you factor in your ACORN buddies that vote 12 times.

      • http://donthaveone Beberoni

As long as the dems dont have too many illegal aliens and too many dead people vote. Remember when Kennedy beat Nixon with thousands of dead Chicagoans voting for him? Check history, it happened.

  • John

I received an email last week stating the Bakken reserves in N. Dakota and Montana have more crude than all of the middle east. Is there any truth to this?

    • Rod

John,You otta check out the figures for the state of Colorado!

    • Wayne Keel – V Vet

John, you and Rod both are right about your figures of reserves in the Bakken shale of ND and the deep gas in Western Colorado. When I was with Exxon as a drilling supervisor, I drilled wells in Montana across the border from Williston, ND where the Bakken horizontals were drilled. It’s expensive, but the returns can be enormous. I’m not sure how many reserves are left, but I would think there’s plenty. As for the deep gas in W. Colo, there’s enough to run this nation for 50 years, but until 10 yrs ago it was untapped, because it is very tight. I drilled two of the exploration wells in 1997-98 before I left Exxon and Halliburton developed a fracturing process to allow the gas to be produced in a way that could be profitable to drill. In the last 10 years there have been several rigs from several different oil companies developing this field and they’ve only scratched the surface of this gigantic field. The field is N of Rifle, Co along Piceance Creek. Technology has advanced in every facet of the drilling and production process lowering the cost/bbl, but environmental cost are offsetting the technology cost cuts. That’s OK, because the oilfield is into protecting the environment just as anyone else is. I have applied for patents on a process to clean drill cuttings coming out of the well which will separate the fluid and the solids, making it possible to reuse the fluid and dispose of clean cuttings in a landfarm. This is a result of BLM requirements where nothing touches the ground. That means no contamination on the ground and no chance of spills entering the ground water where we get our drinking water. All we’ve ever asked of the “tree huggers” is to use common sense when making the laws. Everyone of us wants to protect ours and our children’s resources. The only thing we are worried about is “Cap and Trade”. The rigs are finally starting to go back to work, but for how long depends on the communist regime manipulating the industry. It’s a sad day America. It will only get better if we take back our country very soon! God Bless America….again!

      • John Myers

The Bakken Formation is urban myth created by newsletter publishers that were more interested in promoting themselves than telling the truth. The Bakken Formation has 3 to 4 billion barrels that can be recovered with technologies that exist today. That amount of oil is 1/10th the size of the Iranian oil field cited in the article above and doesn’t change the fundamental equation for U.S. oil reserves.

        Sincerely,

        John Myers

3 to 4.3 Billion Barrels of Technically Recoverable Oil Assessed in North Dakota and Montana’s Bakken Formation—25 Times More Than 1995 Estimate—

        Office of Communication

        Reston, VA 20192

        Report Online – 4/20/2006
“U. S. Oil Discovery- Largest Reserve in the World!” Stansberry
Hidden 1,000 feet beneath the surface of the Rocky Mountains lies the largest untapped oil reserve in the world. It is more than 2 TRILLION barrels. On August 8, 2005 President Bush mandated its extraction. In three and a half years of high oil prices none has been extracted. With this motherload of oil why are we still fighting over off-shore drilling?

They reported this stunning news: We have more oil inside our borders, than all the other proven reserves on earth. Here are the official estimates:

8-times as much oil as Saudi Arabia

18-times as much oil as Iraq

21-times as much oil as Kuwait

22-times as much oil as Iran

500-times as much oil as Yemen

and it’s all right here in the Western United States …

How can this be? How can we not be extracting this? Because the environmentalists and others have blocked all efforts to help America become independent of foreign oil. Again, we are letting a small group of people dictate our lives and our economy.

James Bartis, lead researcher with the study says we’ve got more oil in this very compact area than the entire Middle East – more than 2 TRILLION barrels untapped. That’s more than all the proven oil reserves of crude oil in the world today, reports The Denver Post.

        Jeffh

This is the best news I have heard in a long time. I am a firm believer in water-hydrogen technology, but that may be years down the road.If we are sitting on that much oil,we must start drilling right away.I never did believe in the global warming theory it has got too many holes in it. Wind mills are a joke.

      • eyeswideopen

Jeff, since you have been so kind to others who have had hoax emails, I spent time and found that this one is too. You can check it on TheDailyGreen.com. This email has been floating around for years and Stansberry is a publication, not a location. GPS maps don’t show that name at all. Just thought for once, I would help you.

      • http://donthaveone Beberoni

Oh man, you used the word Haliburton. The left is going to hate you.

    • JeffH

Right on…I have posted a link that explains that exact information. Here it is again: http://blogs.4wdandsportutility.com/6555790/editorials/the-largest-untapped-oil-reserve-in-the-world/index.html

      • John Myers

Give this the common sense test. They found two trillion barrels of oil and announced it in 2006 in the United States? That is more than twice the previous estimated PROVEN reserves in the world. Yet the free markets took the price of oil from the $60 per barrel range in 2006 to $147 per barrel in 2008. You guys must know things that the world and T. Boone Pickens don’t know. Pickens thinks oil prices are going to skyrocket. The good news is that you are free to invest every cent you have in North Dakota. Lots of luck.

        John Myers

      • Thurman Marcum

        John Myers,

I think T.boone Pickens is full of it.Wind mills is his dream child. There is plenty of oil.You got know to where to look.Has anybody heard of sand oil?I think water-hydrogen will be coming along in a few years.

      • David

He also backs nat gas which we have more than enough in reverve. It all comes back to the fueling stations. It would be a nice low cost hop to your hydrogen car.

      • JeffH

There is a reason why these oil fids have not been exploited further and kept such a secret. Yes, the ecos are doing what they do to stop it. Yes, there is too much money to make by NOT drilling and sucking it up. Remember when ARAMCO and the other oil companies invested heavily into the middle east oil, they ain’t finished making the profits there yet. Suck the middle east dry before they start on Americas Black Gold. Now, more than ever, is the time to invest in Americas oil fields.

      • eyeswideopen

Yes, but Jeff, when this was supposed to have been found, you had a pro oil dude (Bush) in the white house and they would have stopped at nothing to get this oil. You know that.

      • http://donthaveone Beberoni

Except for fight the whole left wing democrat party which is in bed with the enviro’s. Sorry, thats just how it is. All in the trying to convice the people that they are saving the environment, they are escalating costs of about everything, and not saving the environment a bit.

      • eyeswideopen

So, Berb, you are saying that the hoax info, is good because the enviro guys are in bed with the Dems? The OIL cartel is one of the most powerful in the world. If there was oil to be had, they would have run right over the enviro dudes. Come on Berb. This is a hoax, been floating around for 3 yrs.

the best thing that could happen to this planet– IS for the States to be free of oil consumption——IF we took the attitude of, “go ahead, keep the oil, eat it, sleep with it, we dont need it ” –then what ??? Shut the borders– NOW—— and say– “hey you know what, we will manage, we always do” , and we arent worried about nobody else— To hell with the GOLD standard, and your oil that ,we know is killing us, every time we use it– we are now back to the CORN standard, as WHEAT as secondary—— take our wealth , and develop means of cleaning water— Did you HEAr that !!! WATER !!!!!— we need water to exist– for the planet to survive– NOT OIL————— the sooner we free ourselves of being enslaved with OIL– the sooner we can get on with REALITY, and the way of life———-all you stuffed suits out there, worried about dropping a loan, on filling your tank– and the real issue should be– HOW LONG Before there is no more water– of course, if you DO have WW III– there will be many dead- probably 3 times that of any war known———- then, there will be enough water, provided, it is not contaminated with radiation——–we could start an entirely new revolution, just outlaw anything related to gasoline—– we all know that many vehicles have been designed, over the years, that run without gas, or very little, BUt we refuse to examine these options, as mass produced, means of transportation———- YOU want jobs? Start mass producing a vehicle, that sells cheap– all recyclable– and does not need gasoline to operate, and is on par with the standard of comfort and safety, we have established–We ARe the GREATEST Country on this Planet—– How many diplomas do you need stapled to your wall, to figure this one out ??????? Let me drive the Bus, I will get us there——–Lets pull our heads out of the “rectal sand pile”, and get on with the show people–All it takes is some common sense- “So sorry if you cant remain a billionare, holding us hostage– We dont need your oil “– should be our attitude—— think how great our schools, and citys would be? Cash buy-out programs , should be for anything that uses gasoline— and get a certificate of redemption, towards items, that do NOT require gasoline to operate—-so you please everyone hear– free money floating around, industry booming, new jobs– more income– public starts to spend again, everybody is happy, politicians can get their pockets lined, look the other way,and allow another mass skimming off the top, for the Big Boys, and in say, 250 years from now, they can have another revolution——-There– problem solved, Now ask me another one———————– thank you for your time– dcm

    • Rod

      Daniel,
Why do you think these people can do anything right?

These same people would rather put a 6 year old boy in
reform school for taking cub scout utensels to school
for the purpose of eating. I want to know, Where the
hell have our values and careing for each gone?

      • http://donthaveone Beberoni

Ask the left wing liberals. Same guys that say you cant give a kid an “F” on his school work when he fails, because it makes him feel bad. And you cant give a kid an “A” for getting a test perfect, because it makes those that missed some feel bad. What? What the hell happened to rewarding excellence, and making some that failed try a little harder? Thats the American way. Now here comes the left, and they are indoctrinating our kids to strive for mediocracy. They are telling them that it doesnt pay to excel, and its ok to be a slug and do nothing, its all ok. Then they grow to be adults, and the left says to them “you dont have to work, stay home and drink 40′s on the porch and smoke cigarettes all day”. We got enough people working so we will just tax them more to take care of you. Its all ok. Stinking democrats, You know this is you and that you stand for this, you incorporate this, and you vote for this behavior when you vote for the left. Wake up America, this isnt how it is supposed to be. Dont you see the wrongness in this? Come on man.

That’s why we need the voucher system, so parents can choose which school they want their children attending. See how Obama treats those who want a choice:

We will always use oil products.

      • ccg

Thank you J. Bird for showing us this list. This is an eye opener, and anyone wanting to help stop the need for oil can use this as a good source to know what to eliminate in their lives, as well as use solar, wind power, catch rain, and start walking or riding their bicycles to work. That ought to be fun during wintertime.

  • Wayne Keel – V Vet

I’ve been trying to get people fired up for the last 3 months to stop waiting for the Repubs to do something about the present administration. They are not going to do a darn thing. WE THE PEOPLE are the key to ridding ourselves of the commies in DC and only when we all go to DC and shut it down with millions of AMERICANS demanding impeachment and criminal charges against the treason committed, will we straighten this mess out!! They are not going to go easy, because this has been in the works for quite sometime. Waiting for the next election will be too late and they know that! That’s why they are making all these changes so suddenly. We have to go soon and get support from all veterans and patriotic Americans willing to stand up for our beliefs. Obama has committed treason along with the other Dems who sold us out for personal gain.

    • Rod

Wayne Keel, Have you heard of the Continental Congress conveneing

Your right! Something needs to be done and fast.

No one is saying not to find and use alternate means of power. Yes we
have the means and the will to do just that! It takes time to get these things going. We need to keep going especially these dangerous
days. I was taught when I was very young, don’t quit a job tell you
find a better one! We need the power NOW!! So that means we have to
use the means we have to stay strong in a HOSTILE environment! Elect
officials that understand the needs and wants of the people and follow
through with their promises when they reach Washington D.C. Not one’s
that CRUMBLE under the pressure of the Obama’s and the Palosi’s

I firmly believe we will beat these far left RADICAl’S and bring this
country of ours bac to SANITY!!

    • Robert

Here, Here. Now this is sensible and straightforward. Just wish the big O and queen P would listen up.

  • http://tyhardin.com Orison Hungerford

A Radical trying to save the planet for my kids. My god, why is all this retoric focused on oil when we have alternate sources for energy. Are we so ignorant that we allow global interests to threaten all life on the planet by controling energy resources? Solar energy alone can stop the polution of our planet and silence the greedy. The insane politicals have built enought bombs to destroy our earth ten times over. The bankers credit scams have enslaved the planet. We must stop the global crime wave under the threat of an atomic holycaust. Set up a world Congress that dosn’t have nations compeating but working together to stabilizes the world populations while reflecting the concerns for all of humanity. It starts with negating their money power, desolving the FED, restoring gold currencies and placing all powers in the hands of the people.

    • DaveH

      Orison,
One-world government sounds so good. But it isn’t. Remember the leaders are people too, drawn from the population of citizens. If the pool from which they came were indeed good people then we wouldn’t need all this government would we? But since they aren’t all good people, then of course the leaders won’t be all good people.
We can’t even get along with our spouses and neighbors much of the time, and you honestly think a one-world government is going to bring peace? Too much government leads to chaos; we are seeing that right now in this country. We each have our own wants and desires. One size does not fit all.

      • David

        AMEN brother!

      • http://donthaveone Beberoni

In the end, there will be a one world government, its Scriptural, and its coming. But like you said Dave, its not going to be a good thing at all.

      • JeffH

…and to add to your comments, man will always attack and kill man. Heck, could you imagine the “War of the World” when it would become time to choose the leader. The fangs would show then.

      • eyeswideopen

One size does not fit all, is the most accurate statement made on this post. One party, one religion, one school, one idea, does not fit all. If you truly believe that one size does not fit all, why would you try to discredit any thoughts from Democrats? Why are you only promoting and defending the Republicans? Isn’t that trying to make one size fit all? Don’t bring up the Libertarians as Ron Paul is registered as a Republican, so you don’t really even have a leader. How can you preach freedom and liberty for all, when you are trying to stiffle the voice of someone who should have the same freedoms and liberties that the Republicans/Libertarians have? It appears that you want freedom and libertry for a select few, not for all.

      • http://donthaveone Beberoni

Stifle the voice of someone. Would that be anything like, in the majority of our so called school of higher learning, where they are making it illegal for students to hold bible studies on campus and talk about Jesus Christ, but then are mandated to read the Koran and told to have tolerance? That is stifleing a voice, and this comes from the liberal left, and you and I both know it. Im all for all men of all creeds, color, and religions to practice what they want, whether I agree with them or not.

      • eyeswideopen

Berb, this time I will call you out. Where are they mandated to read the Qur’an? Are you aware that Thomas Jefferson had his own copy of the Qur’an? You cannot sponsor one religious group in a university setting, as then every group will expect to have the same rights. A university is supposed to be a non biased, learning institution, independent of religion. Religious activities should be held where mine were, while I was in school, at part of the church. Why do you feel as though you need to try and shove our religion down the throats of others? A university is for learning,it is not an insitute for praying, we have churches for that.

      • ccg

Eyes, of course Thomas Jefferson had a copy of the Quran. He had to know his enemies.
Where are they mandating the reading of the Quran? Lets see now, they are teaching this in schools across the United States now, as well as our colleges and universities. They are also forcing the Air Ports to have prayer rooms for the Islamists. The New York Air Terminal has foot washing basins now in their restrooms. Most of our Universities also have prayer rooms for the Islamists/Muslims, as well as foot washing basins nearby for them to go and pray 5 times a day. Actually they don’t pray, they chant. Where have you been? Open your eyes and see what is going on around you, and even Obama is putting Muslims in the White House as part of his staff. They are not only trying to shove their religion down our throats, most of our banks have Sharia banking laws. They are forcing our fast food restaurants to have falal meat, I think that is the right spelling of it, which is meat that is the kind they can have. Same meat just handled a different way.
They have not come over here to assimilate into our country girl, they have come over here to take us over. And, by taking us over means to force us to worship their god who they call Allah. If we don’t then we die as far as they are concerned. Their demand is that we all turn to Islam.
I would like to clarify, not all Muslims are radical Islamists, but we are seeing more and more radical Islamists here all of the time.
This is not a peaceful religion no matter what the propaganda is that they try to put out and have us believe.

      • Normal Guy

        Baloney

I know lots of teachers, absolutly not true. I have also not seen any foot washing facilities at Kennecy or La Guardia.

Universities, which ones I will follow up to confirm. You are ridiculous.

      • ccg

Sorry oh wise Normal guy it was in the news. Raising a big stink. I am sure you went looking for it, that is why you know its NOT there.
The taxi drivers were all upset because they had no place to go pray so they were installing these things for them. As well as the prayer rooms. This was talked about approximately 6 months ago. As well as many of the Universities.

    • Lena

I agree with you Orison. People need to stop hating the environmentallists and start listening to what they are saying. Solar power could cure America’s problems. Just the factories that make them would create thousands of jobs for American’s. People need to stop relying on God and the government to help answer there prayers and do it themselves. People should invest their money in making their lives more self sustainable. Build your home so you don’t have to pay energy bills, don’t have pay hydro bills. Get gardens and feed yourselves the food you grow. Fight with the people who want to see change in the monetary system and bring down all the greed that is the Federal Reserve. Stop praying to God that he will strike down the devil and take away all the worlds problems. Religion is your choice and if you need it have it but take action for yourself if you want to survive a depression. I am tired of people telling me to beg some guy named Yehweh to answer all my problems. I will take care of myself and thank myself when I have survived.

      • David

Lena & Orson, I think that is a bit of a stretch on the solar power idea. Do your homework about renewable energy…it will add a nice supplement but can not replace the baseline of power that needs to be there all the time, such as nuclear, fossil, etc. And have you heard the enviros are taking a bath in the latest climate change findings. We are entering a 30 year cooling trend (check out Pacific Decadal Oscillation) here as the warming trend comes to an end. So letting the enviros destroy this economy all in the name of saving the planet isn’t going to happen. The public is educating themselves faster than the liberals can write those 1,400 page bills.

I do agree with your religion comment. We need to embrace it but we also need to be prepared as well.

      • Johnnyrite

        Lena,
Do you drive to work or pedal? If you drive in a vechile using an internal combusion engine YOU are part of the problem! It is easy to be on the side of saving Mother Earth. That is until you have to walk or it gets cold outside or you need to turn your laptop on and tune into Facebook.

      • ccg

        Lena,
Do you have any idea how expensive all of what you are proposing is? As far as praying to God, it is still a free country the last time I looked, and now that you have voiced your opinion on that I hope you feel better, but we are free to exercise our political beliefs as well as our religious ones.
Where is your tolerance? You have no right to tell anyone to stop praying.

      • American Citizen

Lena, some of your ideas are workable some not. For one thing, a lot of people live in places where there is no such thing as growing your own food. The family farm is even disappearing in this country. Soar energy only works where you have sun year round for several hours a ;day. We can’t go back to the horse and buggy, where would we keep them? Also, think of the pollution horses put out just as cows do. For every solution you come up with, there is an opposite reaction. That’s natural law. Sometimes, it only makes things worse. Trees are a renewable energy source, yet the environmentalists don’t want us to cut them down. Etc.,etc.,etc.

      • http://donthaveone Beberoni

Your living a pipe dream. And as far as the environmentalist go, when they stop hammering spikes into trees which make chains come off and cut peoples arms off, and when they stop burning down peoples houses and investments, and when they quit blowing up car lots full of SUV’s that people paid for, then they just might get taken seriously. And if they would quit doing things like having California make a law that you have to pay 45 thousand dollars to build on a site, to do a study to make sure there isnt a wooly worm buried 6 feet down, then maybe we could talk. Until all this ridiculous stuff goes away, I for one of the many millions, dont want to even listen to them. Then when you think I have the cash to put a 16 thousand dollar solar unit on my home, that wont provide light or heat if its cloudy out, forget about it. Your all worked up over nothing. You enviro’s can prostitute the facts all you want about air pollution and the ozone and global warming, but your agenda skews the facts, and thats the problem.

      • Lena

Okay so for everyone who is freaking out because I said solar power and no praying here… we go again. I did say pray if you want to. Religion is a choice and everyone is welcome to their own. I am just saying quit telling people that they are going to burn with the devil in the end if they don’t pray to your God. Screw you! I will pray to whomever I damn well please and I am pretty sure there is only one God and everyone who believes is believing in the same one. You can call him Yehweh or Allah or God or Jessie for all I care but there has to only be one so stop trying to label it so you are the only one who is saved. That doesn’t make any sense.

As for solar energy, sure it is expensive to get these things started but no one else is coming up with any better ideas. Factories keep pumping out Hummers instead of making cars with better fuel efficiency and banning the manufacturing of stupid pointless vehicles that men just buy to make their members feel bigger. If Obama had actually done something with all that money he had instead of just all the sudden saying we were out of money people could have been less reliable on fuel than they were 6 months ago. I am not saying we can cure the whole world of their need for fuel overnight but no one is even trying. People are just going to keep doing nothing about it and eventually they will be like “Oh darn! We are out! I guess we will start a war because that will solve all our problems.”

As for the bombers and people who charge ridiculous money to build on a site, those aren’t really environmentallists. They are just playing the card to make real environmentallists look bad and turn you all against them.
Global warming? Everyone knows the world is not getting hotter and hotter. But have you noticed how hot the summers can be and then how cold the winters have gotten? Just this past week we had a record breaking all time low in Canada for this time of year since 1929! In our lifetimes people are going to see some drastic changes in our world. Environmetally and politically. People should be more prepared instead of twiddling their thumbs and relying on anyone but themselves.

      • Matt Jay

Come on Lena do you actually know whats going on in the world? I dont know who is worst you or Rush Limbaugh.

      • David

Ok Lena, so let’s say solar costs about 14 cents/kwh and fossil is 4.7 cents/kwh….do the math sweetie. There is also a weee little problem that the sun only shines half of the day; so how do you store the energy so one can heat their house at night? I bet you will revert to a coal/wood stove. But there would be a tax on that co2….

If we do not have fossil and nukes as a baseline you can just go ahead and triple your own utility bill. What about industry….gone. No work just bread lines. WAKE UP IDIOTS!

      • http://donthaveone Beberoni

I would have to tell you, if your interested in truthful factual evidence, then please look at, say the last 50 to 60 years of weather, and you will see it is all cyclical. We go through some really warm years, then some really cold years. We have some really hard winters with really low temps and lots of snow, to mild winters without much snow. We have groups of years where the summers were really hot, and groups of years where it was pretty mild. Its a fact that it is all cyclical, but for some reason, Ive never heard these scientist who think they know it all, cant explain why this is, other than that it is cyclical. Only if we knew why God does what He does, would we know why it is cold some years and hot in others. And your right, you can call Him Jesse or whatever, He doesnt care. He just wants to hear from you.

      • JeffH

The environment is important to all of us, but enough is enough. Californias economic woes can be attributed as much to enviromental excesses as the illegal aliens. I and about 50,000 other people, which included employees, contractors, and suppliers lost our jobs in 1992 because of excessive environmental regulations in California. I was involved in the coffee industry directly in partnership with The Nestle Beverage Company (MJB, HILLS BROS,NESCAFE) in the San Francisco bay area. Hills Bros was an ICON in San Francisco history. The roasting plants needed upgrading and modernization, but due to srict and excessive regulatios, Nestle wouldn’t make the investments in a state that was already unstable and a risk to do business with. California continues to lose it’s industrial tax base and there are less jobs every day. Look at the water situation and the farms and farmworkers standing in food and welfare lines in the central valley, all because of protecting the Delta Smelt.

      • http://donthaveone Beberoni

Good luck with saving yourself into eternal life. I suppose you can do that all by yourself also? Be very careful. When you start saying, I, I, I, thats pretty much a pride thing. And pride truly comes before the fall. Im glad I dont think that high of myself, that all I have and everything Ive gained in life is just because Im so special, and so much better than everyone. No, not at all. Not even close. I am glad that I recognize that none of it is mine anyhow, Im just borrowing it for a short time. Put it this way. Stretch a tape measure from New York to Los Angeles. Go to the one inch mark. That is the amount of time you spend on the earth. The rest of it, and it doesnt really stop at Los Angeles, you will spend somewhere else. But what you do in that 1″, will determine where you spend the rest of the time. Stop and think about it. Or, you can believe we are just, here, live, die and go into the ground and rot. Man oh man, if that was the case, whats the point? There is none. Or you could come back and do it again. Theres another angle. Im thinking I dont really want to do all this again, thanks. I cannot believe that for a minute. And you know what, for years I didnt believe this Jesus thing either. I thought it to be a fairy tale. A story we were told when we were young. Until my life reached a point where I cried out for Him to show me proof He was there, and it came. Boy did it come, as soon as I asked for it. Yeah, I have to believe. My whole life has changed. My outlook, my feeling, what I see and hear, my understanding of all things, and life in general. Thats the facts, believe it or not.

    • Thurman Marcum

      Orison,

You forgot water. It can be converted into hydrogen. We can one day run cars and trucks on it.We are still stuck in the gasoline mode.I think some car companies are working on a hydrogen engine.I got my faith in the americans. We will solve the problems.I think the global warming theory is full of holes. We may be in a thirty year cooling period.I am from the left.Welcome!

      • American Citizen

Wouldn’t work in places of severe drought.

      • Thurman Marcum

        American,

We got enough water to last thousands of years. We can ship it in. We do oil.A gallon of water can run your car from coast to coast.

      • DaveH

        Thurman,
It takes energy to convert water to hydrogen. One method is a biochemical method using algae, another is by using electrolysis.
After the hydrogen is produced it then must be transported and stored. Storage is a problem because to be carried on a vehicle efficiently the hydrogen must be stored under very high pressure.
So far, I’m not convinced that fuel-cells are the answer. I know they work, but like so many green-ideas they currently aren’t economical. That is where the free-market excels. If an idea is economical then the customers will come.
I do think that over time there will be good solutions, but meanwhile I don’t want anything rammed down our throats by the freedom-taking elitists.

      • Normal Guy

Hydrogernm for autos and homes will not be stored under presure it will be stored in metal hydrides. Storage in this form is completely stable, this is what ballard fuels cells and other fuel cell companies have been working on, there are affiliations with all the large auto manufactureres.

The converversion of water to hydrogen and oxegen can be a tremendous storage of power that is currently shunted during low use periods. Hydro, nuclear, wind and solar excess can all be utilized in none peak power periods to produce hydrogen.

It is a great solution to some of our power issues.

      • http://donthaveone Beberoni

Dont know if its true or not, but the only article Ive read on this, says that it takes mass amounts of electricity to make the hydrogen. Dont know if its true or not but thats all Ive seen. And I watched one show about some hydrogen car in California, but he can only stay in certain areas because there arent many places to fuel it up yet.

      • Thurman Marcum

        Bereroni,

We will find way.You got to remember that it was said it is impossible to fly and the old horseless carriage,it was a play thing of the rich.Ford Motor Company said it will be within ten to twenty years they will developed this technology.Hydrogen is ten times more potent than gasoline. In a few years we won’t need oil.

      • http://donthaveone Beberoni

That would be nice if it happened. The very thing I see, that If we do come up with a viable alternative fuel source, is that whomever it is that comes up with it, is going to know its value, and with the current level of greed these days, I think these fellow will be just as greedy as, say the government, and want a lot of money for what they are selling. But then again, if they come out with it, maybe I can buy gas for my vehicle at 50 cents a gallon again since there is now free market competition for fuel sources. But then again, the government will probably outlaw burning gas in your engine when somethings else viable comes along, thus killing the free market thing that we all benefit from.

      • Thurman Marcum

        Beberoni,

I should said it was impossible not it is.

    • http://donthaveone Beberoni

I for one cant afford a 16 thousand dollar solar unit on my house for heating and lights and air conditioning, and neither can a lot of Americans. Its easy for some millionaire like Ed Begley to get on TV and show all this “green” technology he has in “saving the plane”, but he has more invested in that stuff than I do in my house, so its rediculous to think I would or could do it, or 90 percent of Americans. If Al Gore and his ilk had their way, all of us would be forced to buy this crap or go to jail. And what happens when you get a couple days straight of dark cloudy days? No power Pal, no power. Ive been on fishing trips where the restrooms and showers were lit and heated with solar batteries, and it rained 2 days, and there was no hot water and no lights. Sorry, its an ineffective power source a lot of time, and very expensive. I like my oil, thank you very much.

      • DaveH

        Beberoni,
That is the beauty of free markets. Those of us who believe in certain ideas can invest in them, and those of us who believe they are a waste of money can choose not to invest.
If the Liberal alternative energy ideas are the answer then they will stand tall in the free marketplace. They know they won’t so they try to force us to do things their way.

      • DaveH

        Government is force, not reason.

      • http://donthaveone Beberoni

        Im all for free markets

      • ccg

That’s just it. If the gov’t. would get out of the way and let the American ingenuity go, and not tax us to death, we could solve all of these problems. We have before, we can do it again.

However, the Obama administration wants to discourage the good old American know how by penalizing us with taxes on the very ones who could possibly go forward with new inventions to overcome the oil problem, as well as stop us from producing more oil till we do get these new things up and running.

It sure seems like some sneaky agenda is at foot. A lot of us are waking up now and seeing exactly what that agenda is.

      • DaveH

        I agree CCG.

      • http://donthaveone Beberoni

And I have a problem when a guy like Al Gore arises, and tries to make a billion by getting the government hyped up and force us to buy the technology he is selling so he can make billions, and what he wants to do, isnt the answer at all. He is just a leech on society again trying to make a buck. Let some private company come up with something affordable, and let the people have the say so whether they want it or not. If its good, it will sell itself. If its overpriced and not worth it, its not going to happen no matter what. But I do not want it to be dictated to me what I can have or not have, or buy or not buy. Government needs to stay out of it.

    • ccg

      Orison
You said you are a radical. What have you implemented in your life to help change things? Do you walk to work or ride a bike? Or, are you retired? Have you moved into a solar house, or have wind power? Do you catch the rain and use that as your primary source of water?
      Enlighten us.

Your right, We have to VOTE in the on comming election! We can CHANGE
Congress and put GOOD elected officials back into office. You know who
they are! They are the one’s that will listen to the people that got
them elected instead of Obama! They are the one’s that love America
instead of hating America like Obama and his close friends do!

It’s “WE THE PEOPLE” all the way!!! NO IF’S NO BUT’S NO AND’S NO MAYBE’S!!!

    • http://donthaveone Beberoni

The Good Book says to elect Godly men to these leadership positions. Our error has been in electing just the opposite.

      • JeffH

I have seen too many “godly men” that were nothing more than frauds and hypocrits, albeit, godly is a good trait, but unselfish and willing to work for a better America is most important. The guidlines have been in place for a couple hundred years give or take.

      • http://donthaveone Beberoni

If indeed frauds and hypocrits, then they arent Godly men. Infact, you say hypocrits. That is the biggest reason I hear for people declaring why they dont go to church, because of hypocrits. For one, part of that is true. Some people sit in there like the Pharisee’s did, and purport themselves to be “better than thou”. That is the hypocrit. But along with that, those that dont have a church home and dont go to church, actually expect someone who is a Christian to be perfect, flawless, and its not going to happen. Dude, Im made of flesh. I fall and sin all the time, though I dont want to. I am aware of temptations I wasnt aware of before, and most I can avoid by seeking guidance through them. But hey, were human, and sometimes our flesh gets in the way and we screw up. That doesnt make me a hypocrit, unless I do sinful things then think its ok for me to do, but not you. George Bush I believe was and is a Godly man, but I also believe that the pressures of being president are enormous, and the trials and tribulations he was put under being in that office, surrounded by such money hungry, power hungry basically evil bastards, there is no way he could have possibly stood tall everytime, no way, no how. Now if we elected Godly men enmass, and there were a bunch of them, yeah, it would become the norm to do good and Godly things, not vice versa. But myself being a sinful man, a Christian believer, I have to believe what God says in the Bible about raising up Godly men. If we expect things to get better, we better stand following the instructions a little bit better.

      • dirtybird

George Bush a Godly man? Maybe you should read some of his accomplishments. “You shall know them by their works.”

He freed millions of people who lived in chains and fear. Pretty good works. He kept millions of his own people safe for 8 years. Pretty good work. And most of all, he put the betterment of the United States of American in front of his own popularity, and did things that make people like you talk bad about him and slam him, when the things he did benefitted you more than you know. That is the greatest thing we can do, is to lay our life down for another. He sacrificed his well being for all of us, and if you cant see that, then you my friend are filled with political hatred and need to grow up.

      • ccg

And it is truly a good reason to demand term limits. Anyone being tempted with the riches that the lobbyists thrust upon them is fighting an uphill battle. Then you get in there and see that everyone else is taking the lobbyists money too.

If their terms were limited, they would be hopefully less likely to be tempted to do wrong, as they would know that soon that they would be back out in society having to follow all of the rules that they helped legislate.

  • Rod

Yes, we have enough oil reserves that we would not have to buy forien
oil ever again! We just have to get the lefties off of their backside
and DRILL FOR IT! The Obama administration is too busy trying to destroy America but, the American people are wise to him and his ways!
We are on the move! We have alot of GOOD people who will lead the way back to Democracy in this country!!

  • mbf

As for Annie Ladysmith… Iran has been sending their people here to get higher education for over 30 years! Check your opinions because they are definitly not fact! If we get trashed it will be because like Viet Nam, our government lacks the committment to our own country to do the job right (send in the troops the military experts are asking for). This is the result of having another Carter-like President who gets elected for making pretty speeches, but has no intestinal fortitude for doing what is right! If the nut cases want to save the environment, why don’t they start with telling Obama to quit flying all over the world in Air Force One. It is not cheap, and uses tons of fuel. Besides, it is an embarrassment to our nation to have him apologize for how awful we are.
NO ONE wants more of our troops to die or have to live with life time injuries, but someone has to stand for what is right. You obviously have not talked with returning soldiers who tell of Iraqies (sp?) who are eternally grateful for the chance to vote, and to build a democracy. Remember, many more of them have died than Americans. I guess you would prefer to have Iraq go back to their former system….

    • Rod

Yes MBF, Not just Obama but his wife has been on a WORLD TOUR since
Obama took office. Think of the tax payers when you think of the cost
of all those secreat service people required to follow her around
while she is enjoying spending the American people’s money! Do you think they give a whopping damn about the economy and the people of
      America?

    • http://donthaveone Beberoni

Thank you for speaking the truth. Mr. Bush did a great thing freeing these people from a murderous tyrant, and bringing them freedom. Freedom and peace, everyone with a brain knows, only comes by force. It doesnt come sitting on your hands, or apologizing and appeasing others. If you want peace, youve got to fight for it, and God will reward you with it, but youve got to fight to get it. Such is the battle between good and evil. Its easy to just party the life away and have fun all the time and not care, but its a hard fight to work all day, pay for a house, take care of the wife and kids, and be a productive member of society. But if you want it and fight for it, God will hear your prayers and see your hard work and give it to you. The guys running things now, want to sit on their hands, apologize for us being successful, and have taken us backwards in everything they touch. They have taken us backwards in the war effort. Backwards in the economy, and just everything. 2010 and 2012 hurry up and get here.

  • Wayne Keel – V Vet

I don’t have a clue who YAHWEE is, I hope he’s the same Christian God America was founded on. After all our God is a good God and he doesn’t teach killing everyone who disagrees as the other one does. He teaches his people to love everyone and pray for our enemies. While America was a Godly nation, he blessed it by giving us the most power in the history of the world. Only when our nations beliefs were watered down did we fall from grace and become vulnerable to the destruction caused by this satanic president. If we ever stop backing Israel we will face the same judgement as the rest of the world. Read the Revelation in the Holy Bible and remember this message when it all plays out..soon!!

    • Rod

Yes Wayne. I have read the bible -many times- We have neglected the
teachings of the Bible and have pressed on without the guidance of
God through Jesus Christ! It has gotten us where we are now! Not a very pretty place to be , is it? I believe we can come back and live
as Christians. We can care for each other the way we should and not
be led by the ANTI Christ to destruction. These people in Washington
D.C. are false Prophets that are led by the ANTI Christ but, They are
GREATLY HANDICAPPED! They don’t have Christianity in their lives!!!

    • herbstine

Yahweh is the name of God, he told it to Moses.

      • JeffH

I could care less who YAHWEH is. I don’t go to church but I pray to God. That is good enough for me and I am sure it’s OK with God!

    • http://donthaveone Beberoni

Thank you. I agree whole heartedly. But then again, I do have the light of Jesus Christ in me, which has opened my eyes and ears to see and hear what is going on. So many are still in the dark, where Satan has his binders on them, as is 90 percent of the middle east, and that is why there are so many problems there. God is evident all over here in the States, and so many choose to ignore Him, like some in these posts. A lot of it is our fault as Christians for not spreading the word. If they reject it, at least we did our job. America is falling away from God more and more, and sadly the Democrats are leading that way and have the power right now. But I see that it has stirred something in America, and the people have woke up. In 2010 you will see a big outcome difference in elections, followed by 2012. I see that coming clear as day.

      • April

Ohh I soo very much agree. The far left have worked very hard to take God out of our schools, history books, and the pledge and so much more and we let them. We couldn’t believe that such a thing could transpire. Now we have to work to keep God recognized as the One True Source of our Nation and prosperity thereof. We cannot take for granted that our children will pick this up as there is too much oposition in the world. We have to deliberately teach and lead our families.

      • http://donthaveone Beberoni

Not only do they do these un-godly things like killing babies in the womb, now they are actually taking our tax payer money, and paying to kill them overseas. Real nice.

      • eyeswideopen

Berberoni, you are aware that Regan signed the Therapeutive Abortion Act as governor aren’t you? That info is under his bio, so look it up and then you will know that I’m not slandering him. It was something that he did, that he felt was justified or he wouldn’t have signed it. History is something that I can’t rewrite, so the facts are really just the facts. People make decisions on what they perceive to be right at the time. If you have reached a time of enlightenment concerning God, that doesn’t mean everyone reached the same goal at the same time, some have not reached it at all. Spreading the word is one thing, judging as though you were God, is another. I am sure that Regan regretted signing and hopefully he won’t be judged on just one issue, but until you are perfect you shouldn’t judge either. Faith and religion are between you and God. Jesus, didn’t leave a bunch of different Christians here to judge others in his behalf.

      • http://donthaveone Beberoni

To make a mistake and regret it eyes, is one thing, and we all make mistakes. However, to purposely propose and fight for killing babies, then arranging for taking our tax payer dollars and kill unborn babies overseas, sorry, that is just wrong on so many levels. There is a big difference between someone making a one time mistake, and someone continually fighting to make sure they do immorral and detestable things. Big Difference.

      • eyeswideopen

Berb, well, Regans one time mistake cost thousand of babies lives. It is up to God to judge him, not you or me.

    • American Citizen

Read my reply to Bebe above.

  • Robert

Unfortunately, we are still dependent on oil to fuel our economy. And so are most of the industrialized and emerging makets around the globe. What we have here in the US is something no other country has. The abilility for innovation and new ideas to overcome obstacles that come our way. Our government and elected officials do not have the propensity to overcome these challenges in an efficient and logical way. It is the American people who have always gotten the job done. I fear it’s too late for us to rise to the challenge this time as government is doing everything discourage and penalize us if we try. Maybe if we vote out of office all these politicians these comming elections we might have a chance to succeed. There are some good former and current politicians that I think connect with the American people. Mike Hulckebee seems to be genuinely honest and sincere. Jesse Ventura would certainly be more credible in getting us out of Afaghanstan and Iraq. Nancy Pelosi could spearhead scientific testing on how to survive without air and go into a vacum for 12 months. Barach Obama could teach our children how to effective read a telepromter while not taking responsibilty for what you say. Charlie Rangle could teach preschoolers how to count and what not to count. If the US is to really become energy independent, we need to expand our Nuclear power, rebuild the energy grid, and start a national effort on energy conservation. Encourage people to walk rather than drive when it make sense. Hey kids, turn off the light in your room when you leave. We did it back in the 70′s when we had the oil embargo and it did help conserve. What we don’t need is Washington’s meddling and their knucklehead ideas. We, the American people can overcome any obstacle thrown our way as long as we are not hamstringed and harrassed or threatened. Maybe our elected officials should spend a few days reading the constitution and bill of rights to refresh their memories on what America is all about. To our Amercican service men and women, “We the American People promise to keep the homeland free, safe and full of opportunities when you get back”.
Now isn’t that what’s it all about?

    • Rod

I like the Obama and Palosi comments – - – ALOT!!

  • mbf

We need to get the tree huggers to go after the nut cases who are suicide bombing the planet. If we can get the tree huggers to stop the bombers (who could be damaging the planet worse than people setting off explosives all over the place?), then the tree huggers would stop crippling our country with their ridiculous restrictions. This would also have the benefit of stopping companies from taking jobs overseas where they don’t have to meet senseless environmental requirements. So, we get to produce our own energy, we have jobs, and the EPA stops the nut case bombers. It is a win/win!

    • http://donthaveone Beberoni

But these same tree huggers will burn down houses and lots full of SUV’s releasing more crap into the air then these things could burn in their lifetime, in the name of saving the planet. Quit askewed thinking isnt it. When they have an agenda, they will serve it even if it means being a hypocrite. Its part of the left wing liberal thing you know, do as I say, not as I do. They are the modern day Pharisee’s. They wear all the right clothes, hang out at all the right places and causes, are always seen, but in those quit moments in the dark, the evil lurks heavy.

      • American Citizen

Environmentalists are basically stupid. They cause more damage and pollution in this country than ordinary citizens do. As for Automobiles, weren’t the automobile compelled to put in catalytic comverters to take care of auto pollution? The tradeoff was, less mileage per gallon. For every problem the government tries to solve, it creates two more. Murphy’s law or lack of smarts, your choice.

      • American Citizen

Sorry, I meant to say, the automobile companies were compelled. Am having an eyesight problem and the mind is going faster than the fingers also.

      • April

LOL We got the message and your point is a very good one.

      • http://donthaveone Beberoni

Not only that, they made them put all this other electronic emission control devices, that all drove up the cost of the automobile. Most of them dont help with anything, they just cost a lot. I know a lot of people that have their dash light come on, have it checked out, find out its one of the emission devices, and just leave it like it is, or pull the fuse to turn the light off. Government intervention into things always screws it up. Now they want to get into my health care. What a nightmare that would be. No thanks.

    • ccg

      mbf
hahahaha thats good. I go for that.

  • Rod

Annie Ladysmith, Just put it where the sun don’t shine!!!! The Horse
Manure you are trying to pass off comes directly from PROPAGANDA that
some idiot taught you when you were too young to know better! The
American people see right through you radicals. NO! America will not
be destroyed! Obama will be defeated and will FAIL!!! You, who ever you are will find yourself under alot of CAMEL DUNG! So, go peddle
your phoney balony to your own people! I understand they are not as paticular as the AMERICAN PEOPLE ARE!

    • Wayne Keel – V Vet

I think that between us we got our message over to Annie, but she’s probably braindead from years of being a “mushroom”. I’ll put my money and my life on Israel and I’m not jewish and I don’t even know any Jews. All I do know is that God will stand by those who stand with Israel and President O has to go!

      • lember

God’s Son Jesus( KIng of the Jews )Was Crucified by their own people.

      • John

Lemer, God is committed to the country of Israel. Like it or not.

      • dirtybird

For those of you who think God will protect Israel, I challenge you to read “Exploding the Israel deception” by Steve Wohlberg; a jewish author himself who destroys every myth you’ve been taught as the gospel truth regarding endtime prophecy.

As a side note Obama’s willingness to keep sending billions of $$$ of aid to Israel (at US taxpayer expense) is illegal under the symington amendment to the foreign appropriations bill. Not to mention an act of treason.

      • http://donthaveone Beberoni

And they still are God’s chosen people. Its not that they are bad, its the purpose God used them for, to show them just how disobediant they are, that they crucified their own, His own Son. The Jews have been ostrasized and beaten down all their years because of disobedience, and they still are, but God will always save a remnant of them, as they are His chosen people, as written in His word. Thats just the way it is, like it or not.

      • American Citizen

They are called His “Chosen People” because He chose them to reveal Himself to the world. They didn’t know God until God, YAHWEH, revealed Himself, as he remained hidden from the world after the Fall of Adam. Men worshiped Idols or false gods until then. Many still do, that’s why all the evil in the world. They worship power, money, sex, etc. And in some countries, they still have real false gods such as Buddha. They are good people, they just don’t know the Father God.

      • http://donthaveone Beberoni

To American Citizen – very well said.

      • April

Read Ezra and Nehemiah and you will find that the Jews who cried crucify Him were not of Hebrew descent. Why do you think John the Baptist was in the wilderness and not in the temple.

      • http://donthaveone Beberoni

I agree. The moment we turn our back on them, we are in deep weeds.

  • ben

Obama will be the worst President in history who destroyed America.

    • Robert

I don’t think he would intentially destroy America but his policies and advisors he surrounds himself with certainly will.

      • DaveH

        Robert,
Don’t be so easy on the guy. It is very doubtful that he is unaware of the beliefs of those he appoints. Obama may or may not be the main puppet master, but he certainly knows his appointed people.

      • http://donthaveone Beberoni

He is the annointed one, at least according to the left. Blind people.

      • American Citizen

The claim is that he is so smart, so he either knows what he is doing or he doesn’t. I believe he knows exactly what he is doing. Just listen to his speeches. Talk about an ego. He uses the words “I” and “me”so many times that pundits are counting them.

      • http://donthaveone Beberoni

Actually in his speeches, he only knows what his telestrator tells him to say. All this crap they do, I fully believe isnt so much him, as it is the democratic party as a whole. Like when the left kept attacking Bush and blaming him for his so called “Illegal War” and and his “war for oil”. Well, it wasnt Bush. The democratic congress voted for it, John Kerry, Bill Clinton, Hillary Clinton, Joe Biden, John Edwards, Howard Dean, all the top dems were on TV before Bush was even running for president crying how Saddam had weapons of mass destruction and had to be stopped. They all voted for it, but wanted no blame for anything. To me, they get no laurels for its success either, because they became turncoats and turned on their own country. Obama is just the figurehead. No president has absolute power to do what he wants to do. Congress is the one with the power to do or not to do. Obama has clearly presented no ideas or plans of his own, and only reads what his telestrator tells him to. I dont see him as this smart guy they try to make him out to be. I see him as a con man that is willing to spread their illicit message of deception. Thats what he is.

      • JeffH

The anti-American Soros IS the main puppet master.

      • http://donthaveone Beberoni

And Soros has proven to be anti-American, and yet the democrats welcome him with open arms and accept his money. Whats that tell us all about the left? I see it plain as day, and dont really understand why other people who claim to love this country dont see it.

      • eyeswideopen

DaveH, it is not supposed to matter what the people believe. this is supposed to be a country where you are allowed to have different beliefs or have you forgotten the first amendent already? So now, to get a job, you have to divulge your religion? Then your boss must agree with your beliefs? What’s next, you have to admit to how you have voted? This is getting a little radical don’t you think? You might never have gotten a job, if it was mandatory that everyone know you are an atheist. What do you think us Baptists would do (16,266,920) if the Catholics (67,117,016) decided that because we weren’t Catholics we couldn’t have jobs? Well, since they out number us, we would be pretty hungry. Dosen’t the LIBERTARIAN PARTY allow you to have the religion of your choice? To get a job, do you have to agree with the ruling party? Becareful, Dave you are straying from your party’s platform.

      • http://donthaveone Beberoni

If I owned a business, I wouldnt care what color a person is at all, as long as they are America lovers, speak english, are legal citizens, and can do the job. Im a Christian, and I would hire a muslim man if he could do the job. Thats the difference between them and me. The muslims want me dead and have said so over and over and over, and if they could kill all us Christians and get away with it, they will. But as a Christian, I want them to know God and who He is, which I know for a fact isnt someone who wants me to kill them because they dont think like I do. Thats a sick theology. To kill yourself also? Come on man. Are we not charged with taking care of God’s temple, which is our body?

      • JeffH

His intentions are to destroy America as you and I know it. Like a wild horse, you break ‘em then train them your way.

    • http://donthaveone Beberoni

He wont be able to destroy America. All his helpers are getting voted out in 2010, then the rest of them gets the boot in 2012. This could be a good thing in the long run, as he and his boys terrible decisions and inexperience have pissed of the population and woke America up.

    • Richie

Seeing as how it was all biscuits and gravy before.

Thats like Detroit Lions fans upset that they aren’t going to win the Super Bowl this season.

      • http://donthaveone Beberoni

Well, really, it was good before. Before the threat of a democrat winning the election came to be, unemployment was at an all time low, employment at an all time high, the stock market at an all time high, with all these numbers dwarfing those of the lefts hero Bill Clinton. In fact, even when the left was crying the economy was in the tank, Bush’s numbers on unemployment, employment, and the stock market levels, were still better than Clintons were when at his highest. So yes, things were bisquits and gravy before these leeches appeared on the scene.

      • eyeswideopen

So, if everything was so good, why did Bush give 800 Billion to Wall Street, or did you forget that? He just wanted to reward them with our money? You are not living in the real world.

      • http://donthaveone Beberoni

Did he? I dont think so. The banks got billions, since they sank thanks to the Clinton admin, you know, Franklin Raines, Jamie Gorelick, Barney Frank and the left with their prostitution of Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac. Yeah, thats how it went. And I do recall just recently, your boy Obamination gave the UAW at Chrysler and GM billions of dollars so they would continue to vote democrat. Real nice. Reward bad business behavior. We had to have a solvent banking systems. We didnt have to have Chrysler and GM. Seems Honda, Toyota, Ford, Subaru and others were doing just fine, so why reward someone for not knowing how to run a business? Enter the left wing democrats, your boys, who reward failure and punish success. Tax me more you jerk.

  • Annie Ladysmith

For all you patriotic, perhaps even ‘Christian’ conservatives out there who want to nuke Iran and steel their oil, THIS IS FOR YOU.

The US army is being USED to take over the resources of the Middle East. As soon as the job is done the US Armed Forces and America will be trashed. (Look at how the soldiers are returning with DU exposure and the “Gulf War Syndrome”, they will not fight another war, either domestic or foreign). It is not the ‘EVIL’ Iranians. You are being brain-washed to believe this evil report and you are playing into their hands.

Iran is an ancient country with an advanced system of education. The mainline media shows you a very different picture and because of this evil report, instead of researching it for yourself, you believe what they tell you, some of you might as well be robots.

LISTEN TO THIS ONE THING IF NOTHING ELSE: The Most High Yahweh is doing a work in Iran and there are many, many believers. If you agree with the carnage in Iraq and desire to have the same done in Iran, i will tell you that you are moving against the will of Yahweh. America will not get away with this evil, and you WILL be enslaved, for it is written. The evil you want to fall on Iran will fall on you own heads shortly. COME OUT OF HER MY PEOPLE AND BE NOT A PARTAKER IN HER SINS.

    • Wayne Keel – V Vet

Nuke Iran? We don’t need to, because Israel will take care of those and all other nuts in the Middle East. After all God loves Israel and it’s a fact that they will NEVER be defeated. Does 1967 or 1973 mean anything to Iran Syria or Egypt? Some fools never learn that Jehovah is the God of the world and everything else is EVIL!! America needs to return to what it was founded on and throw everything else out of the country. That includes President Satan himself.

      • http://donthaveone Beberoni

As I said before, If we would back off and free Israels hand, they would have taken care of these guys by now, but we keep on holding them back. I say let them take care of it.

      • JeffH

It won’t be long before Israel lights up Iran, and it won’t take them very long either. Israel is just being respectful to the US and the UN. Israel will go on the offensive soon.

      • http://donthaveone Beberoni

As well as they should, being that they are continually threatened more than any country, and are surrounded by muslim extremists who would like to destroy them and the United States. Only Israel doesnt have to bow down to the political correctness of the left like the United States likes to do. They will soon do what is right, and defend themselves, and not care what the pacifists think. We should take the same attitude. Pacifism leads to defeat, and has everytime it has ever been practiced.

    • Lena

Can I ask you something Annie? Who the hell is Yahweh? Is this some sort of scientology thing because I don’t have ten grand to join a cult. Why have I never heard of this special God that everyone who reads this article is talking about? You should really spread the word if you expect everyone to be saved before the end.

      • Thurman Marcum

        lena,
        Its Hebrew for God.

      • http://donthaveone Beberoni

Yahweh is one of the many names for God, straight up. No cult. Yahweh in Genesis 2:4, Elohim in Psalm 19:1, Adonai in Malachi 1:6, Jehovah in Genesis 2:4, El-Elyon in Genesis 14:17-20, El-Roi in Genesis 16:13, El-Shaddai in Genesis 17:1, which also happens to be a popular song on the Christian radio channels, and El-Olam in Isaiah 40:28-31. There are also a few other variations of different names used for God in the Old Testament, all straight up from the Bible, no cult. Check it out, please.

      • American Citizen

        Read the Old Testament.

      • American Citizen

The translation of YAHWEH is “I am Who Am”. That’s why we call God the Great I AM.

    • http://donthaveone Beberoni

I hope you do know, that Yahweh is one of the names of Jesus Christ, dont you? And Jesus Christ’s followers are Christians, are they not? And those in Iran are Muslim, who kill those who believe and follow Jesus Christ, are you aware of that? And the work being done in Iran, is of the leaders who have those killed who do not think like them. You go there and try to organize a Bible study in the name of Jesus Christ, and see how nice these guys are. You are so off base it isnt funny. Their own people are being held hostage by their so called supreme leaders, and the people wish they were gone, but they cant say anything or they will be killed. If this is your idea of Yahweh moving there, you are gravely mistaken. These people reject Jesus Christ and his ideals, and God’s hand has been removed from them, and has been for a long long time. That is why the middle east is in such a mess. Its basically Jesus’s hometown, and like He said in the Bible, a prophet is never welcome in his hometown. They reject and reject Him, and look at the state they are in. Look at how blessed the United States is compared to over there. Look at our blessings that we take for granted everyday, going to the store, air conditioning, green grass, trees, fresh water, showers, transportation. We are blessed with all of it, yet we are rejecting God here more and more, and soon, His hand will be removed from us also. Its coming fast. But if you think it is so great over there, you need to move there now, but dont forget to cover up your face and your whole body and legs and hands. Women cant been seen or heard over there. If you wrote something like this over there, and were found out, your dead. Yeah, thats how it is. So you put them up on a pedestal and cut us down, maybe you need to realize just how many blessings you have here lady. Shame on you.

      • American Citizen

Bebe, YAHWEH is not one of the names for Jesus. The Christ is one of his names which means “The Anointed One.” He also is known as ‘the only Son of God, the Second Person of the Blessed Trinity”,”Savior of the World” (because He took our sins upon Himself in order to open Heaven for us which was closed after Adam’s sin). YAHWEH is the Jewish name for God Whom Jesus called “Abba” – Father. We are called Christians if we follow Jesus. We also have to remember that Jesus was always a Jew, thus Christians are “Completed Jews”. As a matter of fact, the Jewish people are objecting to our using the name “YAHWEH.” They claim it belongs to them (like a patent, if you will). They also do not want us to use the name, Abba. I take issue with this though, as a Christian is a follower of a Jew.

      • April

Actually, the Hebrew name for “Jesus Christ” is “Yeshua Messhiah” which means “YHVH Savior Annointed One”.”YHVH” is the covenant name for “God” transliterated (letter for letter) Hebrew. Our country was founded by Judeo-Christian standards. The Bible is our schoolmaster that our Fore-Fathers built our Nation on, and Israel plays a huge part. In God We Trust through Jesus Christ our Nation survives and as a Christian Nation we best support Israel and let them defend their rights and help them when they ask.

I as a Christian, a follower of Jesus Christ, also recognize Him as God. The Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit are all as one to me. The Holy Trinity. Jesus to me, was and is, God manifested into the flesh and came to dwell amongst us, as written in the Bible, so thats why I said Jesus is Yahweh.

      • cj

Thank you. You just siad everything I wish I had said. Some people just don’t get it!But I would like to say (ask) one thing more.
Why hasn’t Omama, Polosi, and Reed been impeached?
They are the root of all evil!

Advanced system of education? Then why do they go abroad for their education? Israel is the land to which God is committed too not Iran.

Furthermore, this country was founded upon Judeo-Christian principles by our founding forefathers. Our country is in this disastrous state because a handful of atheists are allowed to remove God from Federal buildings, schools and crosses from BLM property.
Wake up Iran is getting ready to go Nuclear and they’re going after Israel first. Do you honestly think that they’re going to stop there? Their crazy President, Ahmadinejad is preparing that country for the return of the Mahdi, Islam’s messianic savior. Armageddon must take place before he returns.

      • http://donthaveone Beberoni

Which also goes to show you how wacked out these guys are. They are indoctrinated since youth that we are evil satans and need to be killed, then they come over here and live for 4 or 5 years and go to college, and see how wonderful the free life is, but they dont get that, because their hearts and heads have been programmed since birth to believe that they are here to kill us, and nothing else matters. And the left in this country thinks that they can sit down with these guys, have dinner and a nice glass of wine, and talk to them, and that after that they will play nice. Come on man. How did the left get to be this stupid in this country? Are they really that pompous to think that they can change these guys thinking around? Its not going to happen.

This hugely expensive invasion of iraq was to secure their oil for china.this fact is clearly obvious if you factor in the multinational corporate partnerships with china that will be the beneficiries this oil although it has greatly contributed to the bankrupting of america’s economy and human resources. The military equiptment manufacturers have also made money while masking the decline in american manufacturing, which was moved offshore. these and many congressional, and media entities don’t give a rat’s behind for america because they are global in their reach.Read exonn, bp, walmart, ge, goldman sachs, and a myriad of other crime families such as these, too numerous to mention. They have their stooges running government to cover their backs. But you are right in that they will have to eventually answer for their crimes and inhumanity to the Almighty.

      • http://donthaveone Beberoni

And I supposed you were one of those guys crying, “Bush, Cheney, Haliburton, its a war for oil”. Funny, those guys are around anymore, and we never did even attempt to take their oil. Good thing I wasnt president, because I guarantee you I would have taken enough of it to pay for every cent we spent there. Of course, then you liberals all would have had a field day saying “see, we knew it was a war for oil”. What happened to that cry, now that the Obamination is in office? You guys with your conspiracy about oil is getting as old as the global warming baloney. Give it a rest. Its better to be thought of as a fool, than to open your mouth and remove all doubt.

      • ccg

You know its funny, I haven’t seen the ones that were yelling “its all for the oil” stop using the products that are created from oil. If they were true to their convictions, they would walk or ride their bikes instead of taking the train, or airplanes, or cars. These same people that are so adamant about all of this oil have boats, planes, use electricity like its going out of style. hmm.
Its the you do as I say, not as I do thing, as well as any reason to bad mouth the United States.

If you read the Bible, there was this group of people called the Pharisee’s. They wore all the right colorful robes, sat at the choicest spots at the table, sat in the temples where everyone could see them, and acted like they did all the right things, but when they were alone and no one was around, they did as they please. They thought of themselves as higher up than others. They lived under the auspice of do as I say, not as I do, and Hey, look at me, Im really something. They are the same as todays Democrats, thinking themselves to be the annointed ones, above all others, thinking they know what is best for all of us, and how dare we question what they think we all ought to have and to do. I dont really care for them at all.

      • http://donthaveone Beberoni

And have you also noticed, since this year has been much cooler than last year, that Al Gore and his global warming rock star show hasnt been rearing its ugly head this year. Hmm. They got awful quiet, what with all these cooler temperatures year round.

Annie, we don’t want to Nuke Iran

Nuking Iran would be like throwing the baby out with the bathwater.

There are a lot of good decent people over there that were forced into their leader. It’s similar to over here. We got saddled with someone who is President over a few of the people, not all of the people. He has made that very clear.

  • Charlie Adcock

Around 1980 we had +or- 5,000 drilling rigs actively drilling for oil in the United States (currently less than 1,000). This effort drove the price of oil to $10 per barrel. Another effort of this magnitude would put needed pressure on the Russians, Chavez and the Chinese to to reign in the Iranian dimwits. We CAN drill our way out of this. When you add the advances in natural gas production from shallow shale we can become self suffiecent, allowing the alternative sources to become market driven and not government mandated and susidised.

    • eyeswideopen

I hope you don’t plan on drilling off the shore of Florida, as it would devastate the entire state if a spill, like the one in Alaska, when a drunk with a gun, pierced the pipeline and spilled 265,000 gallon of oil. Speaking of Alaska, why haven’t any of you ever questioned why it was our tax dollars used to build the pipeline, and as of today, I have never received the $3600.00 that each Alaskan receives each year as part of the pay out from the oil. Alaskans seem to be the only ones who have ever profited from the very expensive pipeline, that “our” taxes have paid for. We were promised that all Americans would profit from this pipeline. Never did happen.

      • ccg

They already have said its ok for other countries to drill in those fields, some type of international law. I am sure they are going to care if it ruins the coast of Florida a whole lot more than we would here in our own country. We have laws we would have to abide by, they don’t.

  • BillA

The weakness of B. Hussein Obama only ensures that the terrorists will become stronger, in particular since he’s begininning to tak their side. He hosts Hamas and calls them “my brother” and denounces Israel, now he’s willing to allow the Taliban to control “parts” of Afghanistan. This man is the worst thing that’s ever happened to America and the caue of freedom. His only real efforts have been to concentrate control of all things in Washington, using whatever lying, underhanded, unconstitutional methods needed. His lying to the Egyptians in claiming that America is not a christian nation and his lies to Turkey in saying that “you could call the US a Musliom nation” should be proof to all that this man is evil and he is not working FOR the American people. We definitely need to drill for oil to help feed the national need for fuel, but I don’t think it’s even possible to drill fast enough to ever be self-sufficient in that regard. China is already part-owner of the U.S. unless we’re willing to default on our bonds that we’ve sold them. Now they have an even larger vested interest in blocking our efforts towards Iran. Obama is weak. China, Iran, North Korea and the rest of the world can see this, and will take advantage of that fact at every chance.

    • http://donthaveone Beberoni

He also did the most damning thing Ive ever heard or seen from a so called man in a high position in this country, he declared “we are not a Christian nation”. I hope he knows he was speaking for himself, for if it wasnt for Christianity, this nation would have been handed over to another country a long time ago. As they continually kick God out, this day is coming, sad to say.

      • ccg

Beberoni, he not only declared that we are not a Christian Nation, he went to Saudi and bowed to the King, Obama also ignored our National Day of Prayer, and is filling positions in the White House with Muslims as well as these unvetted Czars that have backgrounds that contain communism, Joe just left however, he was the communist Czar. He also has a Czar of Schools that is or has been a member of NAMBLA. We are just beginning to find out all of the unGodly that he does have surrounding him.
And…we know him by the company he keeps.

I used to be, but Im all gray now. But the truth will set us free, and those blindly following the muslim hatred thing of strapping a bomb on your six year old daughter and having her walk into a bus of Jewish people and blowing them up, well that is just sick. What kind of religion would have someone do that. Sorry, but I recognize the truth, and this stuff they do is straight from the bowels of Satan. To kill someone because they are different than you is straight from the bowels of Satan. They even kill themselves in mass, the shites versus the sunni’s, over slight differences. That would be like the Baptists killing the Methodists, and the Catholics killing the Presbyterians, and the Missionary church people killing the Lutherans. Its such a screwed up murderous lot under the umbrella of religion. Its a sick thing. And if someone thinks God is actually going to reward them for blowing themselves up and killing innocent people, they need to have their head examined, because Satan has his binders on them and has their soul.

What frosted my cookies more about what Obama did on his “world tour” was to apologize to those countries for our goodness to them. He got the Nobel Peace Prize for that. That prize has no meaning anymore. Look at the recipients for the last ten years and those whose real accomplishments have been ignored.

      • ccg

When I realized the Nobel Peace Prize idea had gone to pot wa when they gave it to Jimmie Carter.

They voted this things for Obama 2 months after he was elected, not even knowing what he would do or not do. He had done nothing, either good or bad at the time when they had allready awarded it. Its just another attempt by the liberal world to get in a dig at George W. Bush, and for why I dont know. How can they not like or appreciate a guy who sacrificed his own popularity to do the right thing and being the guy that finally had enough balls to not be afraid of these muslim terrorists, and go after them, instead of standing there watching them blow everything up like Bill Clinton did. Gimme a break.

        CCG,
What do you think the First Amendent says? The first specifically denys the Federal Government any power to enact any law respecting either an establishment of religion or prohibiting its free exercise. The United States does not have an official religion, as it is not permitted. We therefore are not a Christian Nation. We have a lot of Christians in this nation, but we are not a Christian Nation, as our fore fathers did not want us to have a nation identified by a single religion. How can you be mad at someone who is respecting what our fore fathers had put forth? Just because you are proud to be a Christian doesn’t mean we are going to change the Constitution. It has served us well until now and if you are offended by its wording, then you have some issues with your own beliefs.

      • April

        Wrong as usual eyes,
What do you think the Declaration of Independence is??? HELLLLOOOOOO It is a religious document!!”We are endowed by our Creator with certain unalieable rights.” One of the signers of this document wrote: “When I signed the Declaration of Independence I had in view, not only our independence from England, but the toleration of all secs of the CHRISTIAN religion, and communicating to THEM all equal rights.” On July 12, 1775, the Continental Congress issued a proclamation day of fasting. John Adams letter to his wife, “We have appointed a continental day of fast. Millions will be upon their knees at once before the great Creator, imploring His forgiveness and blessing; His smiles on American Councils and arms.” The first US Congressmen were indeed chaplains appointed in the year of our Lord 1786. The Continental Congress records upon records constantly refer to “God”. They sure didn’t see any violation of the First Ammendment at that time. Why??? Because it was already understood, part of the common law, that this nation was founded and built upon Biblical and Godly principals. Furthermore, We the People insisted that the US moneys/coinages should have inscribed our religious motto. So now “In God We Trust” is thereon; authorized by congress. The words “In God We Trust” are written in the House and Senate Chamber. Moses hangs there in the House Chambers representing the Laws of God. Written on the Capitol Dome, “The New Testament according to the Lord and Savior Jesus CHRIST-you know where the word Christian comes from. There is a prayer room in the US Capital quoting Psalm 16: 1. Our Great Seal is loaded with Biblical symbology. And there is sooo much more that ties our Nation to Christian foundation. Like it or Lump it; but here are the facts.

      • ccg

Eyes, thank goodness it says that too. I would not want anyone coming in and telling me I had to be a member of any certain church that the Government had started. This is what had happened in England at that time. Everyone had to be a member of the Church of England.

Our forefathers wanted us to be free to worship God as we chose, and as like you in your case the freedom to not have to worship God.

As far as being a Christian my dear, it is a reality, not a religion.

I think Myers is a doom and gloomer, running around crying that the sky is falling, the sky is falling. Wake up… there is plenty of offshore oil and tons of coal in our ground. We don’t need Iran. And if they want to fight it out with Isreal, let them.

As lone as the politicians in Washington, refuse to drill off shore, we are going to become more and more dependent on the middle east. Our only hope is for Israel to find oil, and they are looking. President Obama has turn his back on Israel, because the U S needs the oil. If Israel finds oil I will enjoy see Obama suck up to Netanyahu.

Why is every country a threat when they refuse to adhere to what we call democracy? Iran has a right to have nucleur energy as does other developed countries. I believe we are being pushed by Washington to show that Iran poses a nucleur treat as Iraq once did (Remember!), but the USA is the only one to have used nucleur war fare. So why isn’t the USA a threat to the rest of the world?

    • April

      Sankofa Society
We have no problem with them having nuclear energy. We have a problem with them making nuclear bombs and weapons to wipe out Israel and force their ideologies and religion on us and the rest of the world. This is their plan and I for one take their threats seriously. Why do you think they are hiding their nuclear enrichment programs? Do you think we really don’t want them to have nuclear energy for their people to prosper? We want the people to prosper, and we do not want their govt to try to control the world with nuclear bomb threats.

    • Putwo

We are – and where is our car which gets 100 miles per gallon – in the pocket of Exxon ?

    • Robert

Because the Liberal Democrats control a three branches of government in the US. And HST personally tormented himself in using the bomb. His decision to use it was based on how many lives would be saved. The military fanatics in Japan at the time were will to sacrifice their entire population and coutless others for their own ego’s. There is not a single American today who feels good about those events but we had to do something drastic to end that senseless war. Had the Japanese or Germany military had the bomb before us, they would not have thought twice to use it against civilian populations. That’s the difference between the US and rogue regimes.

      • http://sympaticoM.S.N harold s newman

dumbest statment i’ve ever heard we had the war with japan darn nere won but HST wanted to see what destruction the bomb would create, and if u had lived back then as i did u would know that

      • http://donthaveone Beberoni

Yeah right. Your wrong. And work on your English.

      • ccg

Oh Harold. You must be jealous of April, because she can out think you. Oh fiddle, we can all out think you. You are confused.

      • American Citizen

Harold, you must be reading that revisionist history. At the time the bomb was used, we had figured the war would go on for a long time and millions of lives would be lost. Sometimes you are caught between a rock and a harder place and choose the lesser of two evils.

      • http://donthaveone Beberoni

Just as is the jerk on this post that thinks Iran should have a nuclear weapon. Regimes such as theirs, if they had 20 of them, they would carefully plan where and when to drop them, with no provacation, just to kill those different from them. If the United States were like that, Iraq, Iran, Syria, Somalia, Lebanon, and many other places would not be in existance anymore. No, we cannot let these muslim terrorist countries have them. They would not use them for defense, but to annihilate anyone different than them.

    • David

The people of Iran are ok for the most part…ie they want a democracy…it’s the ula-mullas and akmackdinajad that wants to stir the pot. Dude, we can’t help it if they hate Christians.

      • American Citizen

If you look at every war that’s ever been waged, it’s not the ordinary citizen who wants war. It’s always those in the governments or in power. But it’s the ordinary citizen who always pays the price.

    • http://donthaveone Beberoni

Because we dont follow, at least not yet and hopefully never will, a religious doctrine that tells us to kill everyone that doesnt think like us, to kill our sons and daughter if they do anything to shame the family name, to kill our wife if she embarrasses us, or to kill someone who chooses to worship Jesus Christ. These countries live to spread their sickness to the world, and if they had nuclear weapons, they would use them to advance their cause. If your interested in any truth at all, the United States used the Atomic bomb to stop the agressor Japan whom attacked us on our soil, or dont you remember that? It also saved millions of lives in the long run. You probably cant comprehend that though can you? Come to know Jesus Christ and the true power that lies with Him, and your eyes and ears will be opened, then you will know the truth. Until then, you will walk around in darkness and hatred all of your days. So sad.

      • http://donthaveone Beberoni

Seems to me right before we invaded Iraq, they invaded Kuwait, and before than Iran ivaded Iraq, and Egypt and many others invaded Israel only to get their butts kicked in 7 days. North Vietnam invaded South Vietnam, so we went there. Japan attacked Pearl Harbor so we went there. So when we attack those who have either attacked us or threatened us, you have a problem with that? What are you some kind of pacifist appeaser that think we can sit back and rest on our laurels, and give them billions of dollars not to punch us in the nose? Get a grip on reality. You need to get out of this country if you dont like it. Move to France or somewhere where pacifism is accepted as the norm, then call us to come save you again you loser.

The United States has had thirty-some odd years, to become energy independent but we allowed the liberals in our federal government, to drag their feet and we are in worse shape now then back in the 1970s. Now China has an oil thirst that is greater than ours, so it doesn’t surprise me that they would be making deals with oil producing nations.
I don’t believe that China has the oil reserves in their country, as we have in our country? If they did, I’m sure that they would be tapping into these reveres. There not like us, where we have enough oil reserves to power our country and become energy independent but refuse to do so because we have a wacked out nut group that puts animals and trees up to Godhood.
We can tap our energy reserves without harming the environment but liberals would rather play politics with our security then to offend the nut groups. If we were energy independent Iran wouldn’t be the Unappealing target. I’m not sure that my attacking Iran, would bring world peace but I’m sure that it would keep them from attacking Israel.
Israel is supposed to be an ally, so this war that no one wants, will come to be. It’s just a matter of time. I believe that by dragging our feet, we will see the death toll double that of WWII.

chuckkelts, Actually Carter and his treehuggin’ administration did worse than that. They slowed everything down as they tied our hands and feet by wastefully routing the natural gas line thru Canada instead of the sensibly following the pipeline already put in place. Grrrr! Aggrivating!
But like you said, we have the resourses and the tehnology and are smart enough to consider our environment. We need to stop messing around. And we probably need to send more like 140,000 troops, so we can finish the job and get out of there, instead of this measley 40,000.
Just venting here. Thanks for the opportunity.

First, one of the dumbest things Congress did was to put a cap on our ability to refine oil. Our refiners maybe be in a position where they have to maintain equipment that should be replaced (don’t hurt mama earth with new refineries!). When American refineries are running at peak capacity, we can’t refine tht much oil.
Second, north slope oil, as I recall, goes to Japan.
Third, our elected kooks love to confuse independence with dependence. And some of those kooks would rather see Americans be without heating oil in cold weather (gotta protect mama earth).
We’re getting better at extracting oil from low quality deposits, but our worst enemy is Congress. Get rid of them. Let them move to the south pole, where they can commune with nature. America can’t wait 500 years for tree-huggers to make wind energy and solar power to ‘pay off.

      • Tim

s c is 100% correct, the oil company and government rogues
pretending to be greenpeace treehuggers have put a clamp
on oil refining in the United States. It now takes 240 different
permits to build an oil refinery, that last one built in the
US was in the 70′s yet our need for refined crude has multiplied.
The majority of oil companies are buying refined product from
other countries because our refineries can’t keep up.
It’s all a vicious cycle incited to raise the price to
the guy they are all out to screw the CONSUMER

The U. S. Geological Service issued a report in April ’08 that only scientists and oil men knew was coming. It was a revised report (hadn’t been updated since ’95) on how much oil was in an area of North America.

The Bakken is the largest domestic oil discovery since Alaska’s Prudhoe Bay and has the potential to eliminate all American dependence on foreign oil. The Energy Information Administration (EIA) estimates it at 503 billion barrels. Even if just 10% of the oil is recoverable — at $107 a barrel — we’re looking at a resource base worth more than $5.3 trillion.
“When I first briefed legislators on this, you could practically see their jaws hit the floor. They had no idea …” says Terry Johnson, the Montana Legislature’s financial analyst.

        a recent
technological breakthrough has opened up the Bakken’s massive reserves and we now have access of up to 500 billion barrels. Because this is light, sweet oil, those billions of barrels will cost Americans just $16 PER BARREL!

That’s enough crude to fully fuel the American economy for 41 years straight.
“U. S. Oil Discovery- Largest Reserve in the World!” Stansberry Report Online – 4/20/2006

      • DaveH

        Good comment Jeff.
That would give the Liberals plenty of time to develop alternative energy sources that really would be competitive in the free marketplace so that they wouldn’t feel the need to force their agendas on an unwilling citizenry.

      • http://donthaveone Beberoni

I dont think we even need to up the troops. I say remove them for a spell, while carpet bombing all these mountain region hideouts with bunker busters, using our technology to locate where they are, and just start smoking them. We have the power, but dont want to use it. I know for sure our enemy would have nuked us 10 times over if they had the capability, but we are afraid to blow anything of theirs up, and they know it. Thats why they hide weapons in mosques and soldiers in houses, because they know we will play nice. Its time we realized we are at war, quit being nice, and quit worrying about Nancy Pelosi and John Kerry trying to appease everyone. Start hitting them harder, and get it over with. We have the means to do it, but keep messing around. Its time to get it on.

        question are you a blond?

    • Wayne Keel – V Vet

I’ve been in the drilling industry for 35 yrs in the Rocky Mtns and Texas. There’s still plenty of oil left, but the cost to get it has gone up. The liberals don’t want to develope our industry any farther than we already have, because they want plenty of oil left in the ground for government and themselves once they break our industry with Cap and Trade. It’s all part of the plan. Why else would they make all these rediculous laws. They don’t care about the environment except to save it for themselves to rape and pillage once our country is in ruins from their self serving agenda! Read the book called “Dark Majesty” by Tex Marrs written in the early nineties.

      • DaveH

I agree Wayne, that the environmental issues are just a stepping stone to their real goal – absolute power.

      • David

Look at cap & trade regulation via epa instead of, or in conjunction with legislation. If EPA gets their way with GHGs treated as a criteria pollutant and regulated under the clean air act…there will be no need for cap and trade legislation because the power companies will have no one to sell their allocations to…

      • http://donthaveone Beberoni

Stinking environmentalist. Ive read where in some places in order to build a house, you have to pay like 45 thousand dollars to do a study to see if there is a wooly worm buried 6′ down somewhere on the property. Sad thing is, these same wack jobs that masquerade as being the saviors of the environment and animals and such, will pound a steel stake into a tree marked for being cut down, and not think nothing about it when the chain saw chain comes off and cuts the guys arm off. You tell me this isnt wacked. They drive up the cost of everything, and pretty much are a waste of time. They got off track a long time ago.

      • David

      • American Citizen

The enviros don’t want any cutting in the national forests, but look what happens. Because there is no clearing, we have forest fires that burn millions of acres because of all the “kindling”. They think they know more that the forest managers.

      • David

We should charge Ca a carbon tax for their forest fires. Actually we should double tax them because they won’t let the forestry companies systematically log and replant. The new pine trees consume a tremendous amount of CO2 as they grow…plus no more fires. Case closed.

      • DaveH

        David,
The Environmentalists are not really worried about the forests or the global warming. What they want is the power and force of Socialism.

    • paw-paw

when will we ever stop selling our technology to the “whole wide world”.. just to have it used against us in latter years ?had we not taken our rigs=oilrigs to the middle east they would still be riding on camels…not just oil but CAT & JOHN DEER,tracters only to be used on us most likly in some sort of modf.war vehicle in the future..I’d say we’ve sold our very souls to the very peple who will probably use our technology to fight us in war, just like the USSR did by reverse building on our bombers, and every other thing they get their hands on.. I say we stop being so stupid as to give any more of our greatest technology to the highest bidders!!!that will kill us in the end with our on weapons…Its time to be the GREAT COUNTRY again and stop playing games with people who want us DEAD!!! DEAD AS A HAMMER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :)

      • http://sympaticoM.S.N harold s newman

well it sounds like ur all ready dead dead as a hammer,or did u not know that the arms manufactures using the term bottom line sells to the highest bidder

Zionism has manipulated the USA ( as well)as many other places on earth that true American NO longer exist however WE Americans SHALL pay the prize instead.

      • American Citizen

Due to the policies of the present administration, we are owned by China and Japan, not by Zionists.

      • http://donthaveone Beberoni

Im thinking your confused. Zionists are usually referred to as God fearing people. The founders of this country were God fearing people, who set us up as “One nation under God”. They were true Americans. Therefore, Zionists and Americans, make that true Americans, are one in the same. Your statement is a contracdiction in terms, and makes no sense. Without no God, we will have no country left for you to make senseless arguments about. Now please pray for our future.

    • ccg

I agree with you. I can’t understand why Congress keeps tying our hands like they do by not letting us drill our own oil. The coast off of Florida is a very big deal because now there are other countries taking the oil out of that field, and it should be us not them.

      • JeffH

That is easy to answer. As it stands now, greed, power and a lot of Big Oil and Big Energy money and our ignorance keeping these fools in office. I do believe we are much wiser today than 6 mos. ago. Vote wisely in 2010 for real change in government. No incumbents, no dishonesty, and continue to remind them who their real employers are.

      • http://donthaveone Beberoni

Sometimes as I look at it, and I could very well be wrong, but it seems those in power have this thought process, that they will dry up the oil in the middle east, then we, meaning them, will have all the power as our oil becomes even more valuable. We all know those in Washington like their power, so maybe this is what they are striving for. I may be wrong, but if Im right, wait until you see the struggle in politics for all that money. Wow!

  • DaveH

Do we really think that Iran won’t turn on China if they feel it’s to their advantage? Let China deal with the fanatics for a while. It’s obvious to me that with our meddling we’ve just destabilized the Middle-East more than it was before our involvement.

    • http://donthaveone Beberoni

Dave, normally I agree with you, but I cant this time. I might be wrong, but the way I see it, China’s government doesnt have to bow to political correctness like ours does, you know, to appease the left wing liberals, and for the left wing liberals to appease everyone, and I think that if these guys start messing with China, that China wouldnt be afraid to turn one of these countries into a sheet of glass to protect themselves, and I would back their right to do so. Thats all I got.

      • JeffH

A case of one fanatic dealing with another. Don’t underestimate the Chinese. They get their oil and who knows, maybe Iran gets assistance in their nuke program. Just a thought!

      • Rod James

        Beberoni and Dave H.
This alliance between Iran and China is their attempt at defeating the onslaught of US stratagy aimed at these two and Russia who haven’t been mentioned. They are all part of the Shaighai Accord and will protect each other from US domination. As far as turning countries into glass the United States is the only country in history to do exactly that with Hiroshima and Nagasaki. The US has a first strike nuclear plan against Iran already in place and military insiders are just itching to use it. If they do we all may as well kiss our asses good bye as there will be counter strikes.

    • Thurman Marcum

      Daveh,

I agree with you.The middle east is a powder keg.
