Watching ACORN Get Chopped Down

October 2, 2009 by

Watching ACORN Get Chopped Down

There’s a wonderful German word, “schadenfreude,” which translates roughly as “taking pleasure in the misfortune of others.” Normally that would be a pretty petty thing to feel. But I’ve got to admit, I’ve been enjoying a lot of schadenfreude lately, as I witness the problems the Association for Community Organizations for Reform Now (ACORN) has created for itself.

The radical agitators who run this so-called “association of community organizers” are finally being exposed as the criminals and swindlers they’ve always been. As a result, it looks almost certain that they will lose the billions of dollars in federal subsidies they were promised by their good friend and generous benefactor, Barack Hussein Obama.

First, the background. I know you’ve probably heard all of this before, but please bear with me while I repeat the story of ACORN’s support of a pimp, a prostitute and a child sex-slave ring. Seldom have I taken such pleasure in seeing some Marxist revolutionaries get their come-uppance.

ACORN’s exposure started when two independent filmmakers visited their offices in Brooklyn, N.Y., Washington, D.C., and Baltimore, Md. In each case, they posed as a pimp and a prostitute who wanted advice on how they could obtain a federal housing loan (they wanted their own brothel) and how they could avoid taxes on their ill-gotten gains (they planned to be extremely profitable, don’t you know).

And oh, by the way, they also planned to import 13-year-old girls from El Salvador and turn them into prostitutes. Did ACORN have any advice on how they could get away with all of this?

Time after time, ACORN officials were only too glad to help. And thanks to some hidden recording equipment, it was all caught on tape. As you might guess, Fox News had a field day with the footage.

ACORN reacted by claiming that the videos had been “doctored.” It also accused its critics of “racist coverage” and running a smear campaign. And oh, by the way, it also fired four of the employees who were caught on the incriminating videos.

Before you could say “oh my,” the Senate voted 83 to 7 to deny ACORN some $1.6 million in federal housing subsidies it was supposed to receive. And the U.S. Census Bureau announced that it was cancelling a contract it had with the community organizing group to assist in next year’s census. Let us hope this is just the first of many setbacks ACORN will receive, as its friends in Congress and the White House scurry for cover.

(Let me note in passing that the seven senators who voted against the measure included both leftist legislators from Illinois, Roland Burris and Dick Durbin; the outright socialist from Vermont, Bernie Sanders; and Hillary Clinton’s replacement from New York, Kirsten Gillebrand. Completing the sorry seven were Bob Casey of Pennsylvania, Pat Leahy of Vermont, and Sheldon Whitehouse of Rhode Island. May their constituents vote to retire all of them at the next available opportunity.)

Yes, the publicity has hurt ACORN. But what’s really going to frost their petunias is what will happen next. ACORN was in line to receive a staggering $8.5 billion in stimulus funds from the Obama Administration. Color that money gone.

And the bad news for ACORN just keeps pouring in. Last month 11 ACORN workers in Florida were accused by prosecutors of falsifying information on 888 voter registration forms. The month before, ACORN’s former field director in Las Vegas agreed to testify against the group’s activities there. Las Vegas election officials say that up to 48 percent of the voter registration forms the group submitted were “clearly fraudulent.” Although it has barely been mentioned by the mainstream media, to date some 70 ACORN employees in 12 states have been convicted of voter-registration fraud. Expect those numbers to grow.

Earlier this summer, Rep. Darrell Issa, the ranking Republican on the House Committee on Oversight and Government Reform, released an 88-page staff report on ACORN’s activities. Here’s how that damning document began:

“The Association of Community Organizations for Reform Now (ACORN) has repeatedly and deliberately engaged in systemic fraud. Both structurally and operationally, ACORN hides behind a paper wall of nonprofit corporate protections to conceal a criminal conspiracy on the part of its directors, to launder federal money in order to pursue a partisan political agenda and to manipulate the American public.”

The report goes on to note that “since 1994, more than $53 million in Federal funds have been pumped into ACORN, and under the Obama Administration, ACORN stands to receive a whopping $8.5 billion in stimulus funds.”

Not any more, I’m very happy to report.

Republicans in Congress are urging the Department of Housing and Urban Development to investigate ACORN. Nonsense! The agency that should be conducting an investigation is the Justice Department. ACORN is not merely a bunch of liberal do-gooders run amuck. They are criminal conspirators with a blatant disregard for the laws of this country.

Back in March, Rep. John Conyers, the liberal congressman from Michigan who chairs the House Judiciary Committee, recommended that a hearing be held on ACORN’s abuses. His suggestion was immediately shot down by House Speaker Nancy Pelosi. Conyers was later heard to mutter that “the powers that be decided against it.”

President Obama has already proven, in his cold-blooded dismissal of many former friends (remember Rev. Jeremiah Wright?), that he won’t hesitate to toss an ally under the bus if it becomes politically necessary. I’ll know we’ve won this battle when ACORN’s former attorney turns his back on these radical friends.

Don’t hold your breath waiting for this to happen. But don’t let your congressman give these professional agitators another dime of your money, either.

Until next time, keep some powder dry.

Acorn is part of the greater problem. This country is bleeding money and our representatives, Republican and Democrat, don’t get it. Corruption has run through our government for years. I agree we need to investigate this organization and take action. We need to ask the bigger question. Where is the Constitution? If you read the document and follow its articles none of this is permissable. I think it would be wise for our leaders to step back and reread their job decripitions.

    • JT54

Right ON… if we don’t then we might as well change the name of our country to the United Socialist States of America and rebuild the Berlin wall appoligizing next to communist Russia. Our leftist leader is good at that. VOTE them all out…Republican and Democrats… make them look for their own retirement packages, make them use whatever healthcare we are all forced to use and DO NOT pay them their salary for the rest of their lives for serving 1 or 2 or MORE? terms… when the job is done so is the pay! Like the rest of us. TERM limits, pay limits, NO special retirements or healthcare. To our founding Fathers Government was a part time job with NO benefits except those that benefitted us all.

Did you read in any of the media how many times the police were called on the reporters?? NO! The “mainstream” lefist media did not even report on this issue until Fox News took over!

Mary Lou,,, no, you are wrong, it was early morning for CNN and mid morning for MSNBC.

That’s a laugh. The low-level people are trained by the high level people. People at the bottom are representative of the people at the top.

Why is Obama not being brought into the forefront of this investigation into ACORN??? Barack Hussein Obama was the head legal Beagle for this corrupt organization. The next investigation that needs to go on is into what real connection Barack Obama had with Acorn, and what if any criminal dealings that he with Acorn. If it can be proved that Obama’s connection with Acorn (and I believe it was) was in violation of any state and Federal Laws, then this President needs to be impeached and brought to justice!

Did Barack Obama tell anyone at ACORN to violate ANY State and Federal laws?

Did Barack Obama as legal counsel for ACORN influence anyone to violate any state or Federal laws?

Prior to his election to the highest office in the land, did Barack Obama have any knowledge of voter fraud committed by ACORN?

If Barack Obama did have information that ACORN had committed voter fraud anywhere in the United States, Why did he not report it?

Did Barack Obama or any member of his campaign encourage or cover up ANY attempted voter fraud in order to win the election?

If any connection can be established of wrong doing/violation of any laws, than this President must by law be held directly responsible. He has been throwing everyone else under the bus, It is time to hold President Obama responsible as well.

Julie, you’re a true idiot and completely hopeless. Telling you to get you head our of your ass would be pointless because you couldn’t see the truth if it bit you there. And where do you get your balance from, Julie, you TWIT!!??

  • Mack Creek

To everyone commenting. Yes both Parties are full of corrupt politicians and they will continue to buy votes by promising our dumbed down voters freebies. The old saying if it sounds to good to be true it probably isn’t is applicable in Government also.
Young people do not remember the Poll Tax because the Warren Court struck it down many years ago. The poll tax was a pittance of 1 to 3 dollars but it required a person to actually get up off his/her a– and go purchase a polltax receipt. The receipt actually meant that you wanted to vote and have your voice heard. Lazy and ignorant people therby didn’t vote and fraud was virually unheard of.
Before the morons start yelling “what about the poor” much of what happens today could be eliminated by requiring everyone to put forth just a little effort in order to register to vote in each and every election.

Everyone should always remember that the difference between a staesman and a politician is a politician is always looking toward the next election while a statesman looks toward the next generation . I really can not think of a single statesman in any branch of the elected gov’t. If ‘We the People’ continue to elect politicians our country is doomed,as a matter of fact it is probably already to late. My opinion being what it is doesn’t mean anything but I must say some of the actions of this administration border on being treasonous. God help us all.

When asked about Acorn, Obama replied to the Reporter, “Oh, I did not know that Acorn was getting Federal moneys” – what a lie from the President.

It is well known that Obama has close ties with Acorn and pushing for Financial aid for Acorn.

    • Jen

Yes, and Acorn group will have to find another civil attorney to represent them out of this one now, since the president no longer can be their Attorney, at least not up front. After all Barrack Obama was Acorns civil attorney and community organizer.

    Hello Lief,
No more battering, back and forth, just answer this. Why did a company, named Acorn, get 53 million in taxpayers money over the last 25 years and currently Obama administration give them a 1700% increase this year in the STIMULUS package If they were an honest company this still would be horrendous!
Please remember this when you vote in 2010. Thank you.
    Arlene

Arlene – Do you have any idea of how much of our tax dollars the Cheney/Bush administration gave to Fannie Mae, Freddie and Acorn? The information is there.

ACORN got $53 million in federal funds since 94, now eligible for up to $8 billion more
By: Kevin Mooney,Commentary Staff Writer for the Washington Examiner
        May 5, 2009

At least $53 million in federal funds have gone to ACORN activists since 1994, and the controversial group could get up to $8.5 billion more tax dollars despite being under investigation for voter registration fraud in a dozen states.

The economic stimulus bill enacted in February contains $3 billion that the non-profit activist group known more formally as the Association for Community Organizations for Reform Now could receive, and 2010 federal budget contains another $5.5 billion that could also find its way into the group’s coffers.

An Examiner review of federal spending data found that ACORN has received at least $53 million in federal money since 1994. A downloadable spreadsheet of the $53 million is posted on washingtonexaminer.com.

  • Don Borham

Acorn was destroyed because it was a threat to right wing politics. The stupid actions of some low level staff is used as fodder to destroy an organization. A story driven by Fox News for people with no informed views. Acorn’s corruption is small compared to the corruption of the Bush contractors. No one at Acorn has shot people with armor piercing ammo in the name of Jesus. The fake outrage of the right is so sad.

    • Julie

Yes, yes…you others need to get off your fat behinds sitting in front of FOX news and get a little more balance in your empty heads…

      • Maria

Don and Julie, are you guys for real? How can you dismiss what these thugs have done? Bush is not our president anymore remember? didn’t Obama promise change, no hobbyists in his white house, transparency government, what happened to those empty promises? The people voted for another corrupt Teflon politician. You are telling us not to watch Fox but yet you drink the kool-aid with CNN, MSNBC and other stations that don’t report the news, they lied about everything Obama stood for and never investigated his background. If we knew what we know about Obama then, he would not be our president. The man is attached to so many corrupt individuals that it’s quite disturbing. His actions show he knows nothing about leading our country, going on a trip to promote the Olympics rather than addressing the problems this country is having proves that he is not a leader, he is just a community organizer. He needs to stand for something and he stands for nothing except what the left is telling him.

      • DaveH

Good reply Maria. Don and Julie can only debate with name-calling and ridicule because they have no valid facts to win the debate.

      • James

        Don & Julie:

With all due respect, how can you possibly defend this type of activity? By dismissing it as minor compared to some activity in the past? We can’t fix the past, only learn from it. But we can damn sure fix what’s going on now … and we’d better get started.

For the record, I’m in my 40′s, run a 52-year-old small business with 54 employees, and am a conservative who has voted both Democratic and Republican. Vast information is available to anyone willing to take the time and do the research that illuminates what’s actually happening in Washington and around the world. What is reported on network TV is mainly propaganda. And, no, I don’t sit around and watch FOX News.

I prefer to do my own research and form my own opinions rather than believe what’s being force fed to the masses by the talking heads (we no longer have reporters) on network TV. We’re a nation of weak minds and weaker convictions.

I encourage you guys to open up your minds and expand your own thinking. But that’s very hard to do when you’re more concerned with defending your opinions than observing what’s actually going on around you. Remember, two diametrically opposing positions are not both correct. One side will be proven wrong, despite all of the passionate and well-meaning support for that side.

Quit listening to the propaganda and observe actions, activities, results and consequences. Illegal, unethical and/or immoral behavior should NEVER be tolerated REGARDLESS of what happened in the past. Let’s clean up these messes starting TODAY, looking forward not backward.

      • JT54

    • Elaine

And who did that??? would you rather we stoned women to death for walking to close to a man? or how bout we sever peoples heads off with a dull knife…or how bout poor acid on our 13 year old daughters because we’re angry at them, or lob bombs at innocent people on a daily basis, train our children to hate and strap bombs on themselves and blow themselves up with as many people as they can kill… etc..etc..etc..Oh but its all in the name of allah not Jesus so thats OK????

      • http://Yahoo Dee D

        No No Elaine
Lets learn from our past lying war Lords. Let’s not get drastic on our own – let’s just start another illegal war and lets everyone else kill everyone else. We can keep the blood off our hands this way.

    • Mary Lou

      Don:

You are beating a dead horse! Get over it – and concentrate on what is going on in our government NOW!

    • eyeswideopen

Don, the fact that KBR electrocutes our soldiers repeatedly and has been charged in 11 cases of fraud, doesn’t mean anything to these people, they need a scapegoat and they have it. Major screw up for Acorn, however it doesn’t matter that they lost the 1 million dollar funding from the feds, as they get 50-80 million from private investors and don’t need the little bit that we give them. Let these rt winger enjoy what their small minds perceive as a win, it gives them so much pleasure. We need to concetrate on the bigger fish, like Blackwater, Amour, Northrup Grumman, Lockheed Martin. I need any companies that you know of who have committed fraud and the info or link which backs up the accusation. Could you please let me know of those you are aware of? Thanks, working on project for friend.

      • JeffH

eyes…you are one for the ages…on one site blog you bash ACORN and now you say they are insignificant. They were in line for more than 8 billion stimulus dollars. Doesen’t sound insignificant to me.
To you it all about bashing the Republicans and conservatives. Nothing less and nothing more!

      • eyeswideopen

Jeff, yes, I said I wanted to defund them, however they really aren’t that big of a deal… Come on, the horse is dead, their really are bigger fish out there. They don’t need the Fed money to function, they have extremely rich donors. They have been exposed, and now?

      • JeffH

        You forgot Raytheon!

      • http://Yahoo Dee D

        Has everyone forgot about Enron?

      • eyeswideopen

Dee, I need companies, who are committing fraud presently. Please if you know of any let me know.

      • David

Check into GM (gov motors) or Chrysler I think DD was a union boss at one of these and could broaden you findings.

      • http://Yahoo Dee D

No David – DD was only an ARO at a manufacturing plant. (Absentee Replacement Operator)
But maybe Eyes should check out the big three.
For starters why sell vehicles to buyers from out-of-state manufacturers when they have a production plant within 30 miles of the sale? For the added transportation $$$$$$$$.
Who of the big three had stock in adult porno films?
Who of the big three also lends mortgage money to property buyers?
Who of the big three also sells insurance policies to the public?
Did the big three really need the stimulus money and did they reveal where all their profits were coming from?

      • JeffH

FMC has not asked or recieved any stimulus money!

      • ccg

Lets get back to fraud in the government, and get off your same song fiftieth verse.

    • JeffH

Gee, I guess the fact that they give out information on how to skirt the government on taxes, how to set up legal business scam to exlpoit underage girls for prostitution or just plain offering to get involved in child trafficking. I can see why you don’t have a problem with them just by your comments. You probably think Charles Manson got a bad rap and that Polanski’s drugging and sodomizing a 13 year old was OK because it was consentual.

      • eyeswideopen

Jeff, for the first time, I will say you are an idiot.

      • DaveH

I’m ashamed of you Eyes. And it isn’t the ‘first time’ you’ve used name-calling in your comments.

      • eyeswideopen

Nay, Dave, you and I are probably about even in that regard. But it was the first time I called Jeffie an idiot. He knows me better than to think I would be ok with anything happening to anyone much less a 13 yr old!!

      • JeffH

DaveH…eyes can call me anything she wants, it’s OK. I know who I am and it is obvious she is confused about her own identity, We all know she hates Republicans, even though she is, or claims to be one.

      • JeffH

You apparently don’t have a real problem with ACORN and their advice to keep the underage prostitutes quiet or suggestion to bring them in through Tijuana via the ACORN reps people. “There are bigger fish to fry”!

      • eyeswideopen

OMG, Jeff, did you watch the video? Those people were uneducated, idiots who were too stupid to understand they were being set up, or trying to act like big shots. If you really think they have a trade route through Mexico, I will pay you to go and investigate. The group of minons couldn’t find their way out of a paper bag. With such big mouths I doubt they could have gotten a sex ring going in the same city. Don’t be so naive. I know you want to jump all over it, but really you should be researching Sibel Edmonds. she is going to blow the top right off the roof. You will be hearing alot about these people, Tom Lantos, Marc Grossman, James Baker, Brent Scowcroft, Jean Schmidt, Richard Perle, Douglas Feith, The New York times, Northrup Grumman, Rand Corp, and yes even Bob Livingston. Hopefully Holder will investigate this issue and we will see some jail time for those that are guilty.

      • JeffH

You are a complete, unadulterated fool eyes. You really elieve ACORN is just a small fish in a big pond! Just like the Democrats and Obama always try to divert the focus, you always look to change the focus of this discussion. You have and always will!

      • eyeswideopen

Jeff, the investigators are on it!! What more do you want? You want to just keep beating that dead horse,(you know the same one you accuse me of beating) and get these folks all upset over something that will be resolved now?? You are sounding like Hannity.

  • Earl

Julie. Don;t know where you are from, Lady, but I really like your approach to this situation. Keep on posting and try to web site http://www.nolefturn.com. Really great family there and very great articles.

  • Frank Spence

Whilst I am pleased that ACORN has been exposed in all of this, and delighted that they will no longer be getting Federal Funding I have an even greater concern. In 2001 when we had the fiasco of Democrats screaming about hanging chads and stolen elections they wanted a Federal Investigation and went to court. In 2008 – SILENCE.

ACORN has been indicted in 15 states for voter registration fraud, and may be indicted in actual voter fraud. An indication of what may be going on is the election of Sen Franken, he started with a deficit of over a thousand and ended up winning by a margin of 351. To my mind this is highly suspicious. It also causes me some concern as to the validity of President Obama’s election, we already know that there were dead people as well as Mickey Mouse registered in some areas, and that over 400,000 registrations were rejected out of the 1.4 million plus that were queried.

Surely a full Federal investigation is warranted, though with A G Holder busy persecuting those who have kept America safe and ignoring the voter intimidation by New Black Panthers in Philadelphia I amnot holding my breath.

    • http://BobLivingstonAlternativeMedicine Michelle

Frank Spence, Maybe we should open an investigation on Holder as well.
He is definetely one of the them!

      • Jen

        oh Yea!!!

      • s c

Michelle, investigating most of this half-@$$#^ administration is our duty. Good luck in getting someone like Don to admit – or remember – that holder helped bubba clinton free puerto rican terrorists (what lofty standards some people have!).
It needs to be said that no one should be above the law. At the same time, it needs to be said that even if ultralibs manage to find some common sense, they’ll find it anything but easy to get rid of their in-house role models. It takes more than seeing through people to get rid of them. For the benefit of Don, many of us saw through GB, but that didn’t give us any easy or quick ways to kick his posterior out of the White House.
This, like so many other topics, is N O T about party politics! This is a battle of right vs. wrong.

      • eyeswideopen

S.C. I was so glad to see yu say that nobody is above the law. Does that mean we can now investigate Dick Cheney?

      • eyeswideopen

Michell, anyone who isn’t one of you, is “one of them”. Maybe you will get your wish and only have one party, one religion, one leader. Do you know what that is called??

    • eyeswideopen

Frank, He won by too big of a margin for it to be fixed. Acorn is not that sophisticated nor well run that they could pull off a coup like that. Hell, they can’t even cover up a little corruption. You are giving them too much credit. By the way, the federal funds were only a million a year. They received funds from a private group called Democracy Alliance.

  • SONNY

LET’S NOT FORGET ABOUT THE”SEIU”. ACORN IS JUST THE TOP OF THE COOKING POT. WE MUST STIR THE POT MORE AND FIND THOSE OTHER INGREDIENT’S THAT WILL LEAVE A BAD TASTE IN OUR COUNTRY.FIND THEM AND REMOVE THEM BEFOR IT ,BOIL’S OVER.

      • eyeswideopen

And the American people voted for a candidate who Sheldon Adelson ruled by proxy for 8 years. And the difference is????

  • Leda Cook

Chip: Thanks for staying on top of this, and spicing it up as more and more charges come upon ACORN! It’s high time that this Group, who was instrumental in the “financial crisis” with the manipulation of Clinton and Banks, implementing (manipulating) loans to those who clearly did not qualify! Without ACORN’s pushing, prodding, threatening and government financing to sue banks, lawyers and the Government, we wouldn’t be in the mess we are in! We also owe Jimmy Carter the finger for opening this door!

I look forward to reaching the top of this corrupt organization, and then, you need to turn your sites to OFA, a carbon copy of ACORN!

    • http://BobLivingstonAlternativeMedicine Michelle

Hi Leds Cook, great post. Can you give more info on OFA?
      Michelle from Queens

    • Jen

      Leda I agree,

Acorn group will have to find another civil attorney to represent them out of this one now, since the president no longer can be their Attorney, at least not up front. After all Barrack Obama was Acorns civil attorney and community organizer for years.

    • DaveH

      Right on Leda.

  • Sandie

Both LEFT and Right are soooooo corrupt! They all have to go… ACORN is just one of many and they will surface again under another name. People just do not get it, DC and the idiots do not care about us and they don’t listen, yet we are dumb enough to keep putting the same garbage in year after year! Term limits should apply to the Senate and Congress as well.. If we even survive to another election for president… They are all career politicians riding on our backs and just listening to the lobbyists. If we all stood together, the lobbyists wouldn’t compare to what WTO could and can do… Hopefully more will wake up! Thanks for a good article..

    • http://BobLivingstonAlternativeMedicine Michelle

      Sandie, Great Post!
      Michelle from Queens

      • Maria

Sandie, I agree 100% term limit is the way to go.

King Soros needs to go he should be thrown out of this country along with michael moore There the most corrupt CAPITALISTS trying to bring down capitalism in the world making $ hand over fist playing both sides agaisnt the middle their all liars! etc..etc..etc..

      • JeffH

The Democrats were screaming for campaign finance reform to prevent the rich from dominating our politics – but they now have rejected all such reform and instead sold itself to a single eccentric billionaire whose anti-American views resemble those of France?
Perhaps the Democrats should end the pretense and just rename themselves George Soros’ Party. Or the Democratic Party and its candidates can reassert their integrity by denouncing George Soros and refusing to take or benefit from this oddball’s money

      • eyeswideopen

poor Jeff, you can’t admit that the repubs have their own multi billionaire?? Whose net worth is more than the measley 11 billion of Soros, his is 26.3 billion. Denial is such a soothing thing.

      • JeffH

No denial here. I guess you can justify that fact even though Soros has made it his lifes goal to destroy America and our freedom in the interest of his socialistic agendas. Those agendas can be summarized as follows: promoting the view that America is institutionally an oppressive nation, opposing virtually all post-9/11 national security measures enacted by U.S. government, particularly the Patriot Act,promoting open borders, mass immigration, and a watering down of current immigration laws, promoting open borders, mass immigration, and a watering down of current immigration laws, promoting a dramatic expansion of social welfare programs funded by ever-escalating taxes,
promoting social welfare benefits and amnesty for illegal aliens,
defending the civil rights and liberties of suspected anti-American terrorists and their abetters, advocating stricter gun-control measures. The list goes on.
        http://www.discoverthenetworks.org/individualProfile.asp?indid=977

But that obviously doesn’t change anything for you because you are so concerned about what the Republicans have done wrong that you refuse to acknowledge the obvious.

I guess you just hate freedom!

      • eyeswideopen

Jeff, denial, denial, denial…. our rich son of a B is just as dirty as theirs is. They both are controlling this country. Ours just happens to be a little richer than theirs.

      • http://Yahoo Dee D

Yea Maria – Prison terms for any and all of our reps. who violate our Constitution or any of them that try to re-write it – or for any of them who stuff their pockets at the expense of the people they are supposed to be representing.

    • Mary Lou

Have you all sent your “pink slips” to Congress? Everyone who has had more than two terms needs to be replaced in 2010!!

      • eyeswideopen

        Mary Lou, I’m with you!!!

      • DaveH

Unfortunately, the Congressmen have managed to give themselves generous retirement benefits even when they only serve a short time. So we need to put people in there who will work to eliminate those generous benefits as well as cut government spending dramatically. The only party I know that is up to that task is the Libertarian Party:
        http://libertarianparty.org/platform

      • ccg

Plus, they will not have to participate in the Health Care Plan that they will force the people to use.

    • Willie Stoker

I totally agree about the term limits.

There should be term limits, and all the perks should be taken away, they should have no retirement, and they should pay into social security and medicare like the rest of us, and not have a special medical insurance program.
We have politicians in congress that have never had a real job in their life and have become millionaires while in office.

It’s time to totally replace the congress, get every one of them out of office and replace them with patriots.

      • James

I agree with Willie. Term limits are not enough. They must be subject to the same policies as we.

      • http://Yahoo Dee D

I agree with term limits and I’d like to stop them from voting themselves pay raises.
While Jr wasted the surplus Clinton left him and was selling us out to China and was running the deficit through the roof the controlling members (Republicans) of the House – Senate and Congress was taking their share in sums of 2,000 – 3,000 and 4,000 dollar increments.
One more very important item …………………………………….
Anyone praying and wishing Obama to be a failure has not got the good sense to see if Obama fails – AMERICA fails also.

    • DaveH

      Sandie,
That would be a good start, but I think we need to go deeper than that and quit sending anyone to D.C. who hasn’t promised to cut the Federal Government dramatically.

      • http://Yahoo Dee D

Yes Dave – You are correct – But do you not remember they will promise you anything for your vote. After they are in they forget any promise made to the voters. Voters also have very short memories – they keep right on putting the same scum bags in office.

      • DaveH

That’s true Dee, but all we can do is research their past actions, and listen to their words and make our best choice. Above all, if they don’t have a damn good excuse for breaking their campaign promises we need to throw them out on the following election.

      • http://Yahoo Dee D

DaveH – How can we research past actions when records are sealed away from public scrutiny and if anyone dares to uncover a truth and reveals it to the public, they are fired?

  • Earl

Acorn is the most corrupt organization in the US today. They are worse than the mafia. They are registered as a 501c3 organization and should be non-political but they spend our tax money to promote a partisan political agenda. IRS should immediately revoke their tax exempt status. Their fraudulent voter registration in Minnesota along allowed that freakin imecile Al Franken to steal that election. Did you see that idiot at the Sotomayor hearings? Greg. you need to get a life and regurgitate all the kool aid you have been drinking. If you want a socialist/communist country without any freedoms at all then please move to Venezuela/Cuba.

    • DaveH

      Earl,
Don’t you know that the laws don’t apply to the Left, even though they are responsible for most of them?

  • Jen

If congress gives them 1 more penny, Of the tax payers monies and doesnt FREEZE their funds NOW!!! Like they would any of us, then Wake up America you have been had!

By the way Greg, you say Acorn didnt kill anyone, did you not see the vidio of the Acorn worker whom claimes she killed her x husband? and if we did some digging i guantee their would be much more found since most of them dont have a back ground check!!!!

    • Julie

      • Elaine

        My sentiments exactly:)

      • LAS

Did you lose your job there already?

      • Maria

Julie, I think you are the idiot! Think of the people Acorn is supposed to be helping and have not. Anyone, whether republican or democrat that defrauds the people should be charged and punished. There is no excuse for stealing and lying. This administration has been by far the worse, nothing they say has an once of truth in it. And by the way, Freddie and Fannie was supported by the democrats, and queen Pelosi refused to address the corruption…Guess who was behind that? ACORN

      • eyeswideopen

Julie, that word doesn’t even cover the mentality of these folks which is just beyond comprehension.

  • Kathy

I am also enjoying seeing this group brought to justice. This is not corruption of low level employees; this is corruption that spans the entire left on up to the President of the United States! This group knowingly committed election fraud that influenced several local and national primaries and elections. Knowingly!

The Republican party seems to want to root out Conservatism in their party — rather, they need to recognize the evil on the other side and take action to block it. They will do lie, cheat and steal to gain and maintain power over the American people. Republican primaries in all states need to change their rules to restrict primary voting to registered Republicans only. Between ACORN and crossover voting in states that allow voting in whichever primary you choose to vote in, we ended up with McCain as our candidate. We can’t afford to have that happen again.

    • http://BobLivingstonAlternativeMedicine Michelle

      Hi Kathy,

It’s true McCain is a democrat, but at least he loves his country and does not bow to the Saudi king.
Obama is totally anti-American, everyone of his actions very clearly point to that. Only the leftist idiots do not see it.
Frankly, given the 2 choices, foreigner (WORD REMOVED FOR OFFENSIVE CONTENT) Obama and patriot McCain, how can any American vote for the Bamster?
      Michelle from Queens

Thank you Michelle. Here I was under the impression McSame was a Repukelican.
I wonder how he has managed to draw such a large sun from Social Security. I can’t seem to learn where he worked long enough to receive his 40 points to be eligible to draw anything.

    • eyeswideopen

      Kathy,
the repubs are in lots of trouble as your next canidate for the presidency will be “I QUIT PALIN”. The train left the station, with her running behind it yelling, “Death Panels” you betcha ya, I know there are here somewhere, I read it in the Moose gasette!

      • DaveH

Eyes, Have you read all 1000+ pages of the Health Care Bill? Of course, the government wouldn’t call them ‘Death Panels’. In case you haven’t figured it out that is a euphemism.

      • eyeswideopen

Dave, in case you haven’t figured it out, it is nothing but tactics using fear to scare the elderly and the un-informed. I guess you want no reform? The status quo is good for you? Let’s just waste that money, by subsidizing private companies… Oh, sorry I forgot, you are Pro business, no controls on anything, yahoo, let’s just run wild and see what happens.. oops, I can see what happened after we ran wild for 10 yrs. By the way, I am reading Paul Krugman, a noble prize winner in economics instead of that rt wing republican you recommended who was so biased that I couldn’t stop laughing.

      • DaveH

        Eyes,
Are you talking about Thomas Sowell? Are you being racist?
Give me a break. You say I am being repetitive about Big Government but then you force me to repeat myself. I am not pro-business (or against it), I am pro-freedom, and business owners are people too. Voluntary contracts are what I am for.
You may disagree with Thomas Sowell but if you laugh at him, I can only assume you need more education. He is one of the most brilliant economists that are still alive. You would expect nothing less from your neighbor than the right to live your own life. Please give the business owners that same respect.
I don’t know anything about Paul Krugman, but I have studied economics from various publications (including Reason magazine) most of my life. It was due to my investment prowess that I have any assets at all. I would have been in the poor house years ago due to my illness if I hadn’t invested my money wisely. I have worked only 25 years out of the last 35 years. Yes, I have made plenty of mistakes, but I make an effort to learn from them.

      • DaveH

Tell me some things he said that you found laughable. Give me a chance to enlighten you.

      • eyeswideopen

No, Dave it was the other Republican economic grurue Sp? that you told me to read.

      • Thurman Marcum

        Eyes,

        You mean the manure section.

    • ccg

Not only that but all of the primaries should be on the same day. Not every state got to vote for the person they wanted to run for President in the primaries. In some states it was all over before they even voted. McCain was decided on way before the primaries were over which only gave a few of the people the opportunity of voting for their choice.

  • LAS

Not quite sure how anyone could find their many actions (not just a few) defensible. Rather than try to turn the tide to Blackwater, we should continue on with investigation SEIU. I never understood the necessity of a government agency giving money to a non-government agency to disperse for them as a government under the guise of a giveaway program?

    • eyeswideopen

Las, you are rt on track, these companies are guilty of fraud: Lockheed Martin, KBR, Blackwater, Amour, Northrup Grumman, and the list goes on and on. The big difference is, that they defrauded us of billions. Some of them were implicated in sexual scandals, such as prostitution, some just killed our soldiers by electrocuting them. There are about 200 or so companies who receive government funding who keep defrauding the government and just pay fines and then go on to defraud again. ACORN is a start, but it is really a small timer. It only receives about a million a year in funding, and actually doesn’t actually handle the final paperwork for a valid voter designation.

      • Elaine

Yeah! Now we’re being screwed out of TRILLIONS yippie go obots go!

      • http://Yahoo Dee D

Elaine – besides being screwed out of trillons – look at the thousands of American troops and Iraqi men, women and innocent children lives. Saying nothing about the thousands that have been butchered and maimed bu the powers that be in Washington.
How many American citizens are guilty by association like they try to charge Obama with when he was a young child.

      • ccg

Only those who DON’T know what they are talking about always say all of those innocent women and children I Iraq getting killed.
My dh was hugged by the Iraqi’s and they said “Thank you, thank you America”. The ones killing the innocent women and children were the terrorists. A few innocents did get hurt by the military, but not the great amount that you and the rest of the libs claim. You always use the same song and dance. Find out the truth.

      • http://Yahoo Dee D

ccg – The killing started on American soil on 9/11 and grew into many thousands more through invasion of an innocent nation.
Can anyone answer this question ?? What was Bin Laudin’s family members doing in America that the Cheney administration flew out of here in the early morning hours on our Government planes on 9/12? Why were they here in the first place? Who was wining and dining them in the first place? Got any answers for us?

      • DaveH

Julie is just another indoctrinated student from the public school system. Instead of hoping and dreaming behind those green-colored glasses Julie, you should be working to lessen government regulation and educating your ilk to the prosperity that is created by Free Markets.

      • Dan

        DaveH:

Your comments make the most sense and it appears that others have your same views but just expressed in a different way. I and I’m sure many other Americans agree we need less government regulation and that we must root out and vote out corruption. And folks, it doesn’t matter whether its a democrat or republican, left or right, black, white or whatever nationality. Lets not point fingers at past corruption in an attempt to justify the actions of those in the present.
Dave, I believe most Americans would agree with you but wonder if we can make a difference because I don’t see an organization or group that is strong enough to make a difference. I think for the most part the Democrats and the Republicans are too corrupt to make any good decisions. I feel “we the people” need to be more organized in order to get rid of the corrupt and vote in those we feel would serve our Country better.

      • JeffH

Elaine, you are right! There is so much secrecy that Soetoro stole the office and is hiding all evidence to prove that. People say I am Rushified (thank you, I am flattered!) but try to find any information about his past. He doesnt exist. He is ineligible, he is a fraud and, oh yes, he is a TRAITOR to the people of the United States. He must be removed from office and placed in an 8×12 cell, somewhere in the dark!!!!!!

      • http://Yahoo Dee D

Bob Bar – Bush appointed more convicted criminals to administration positions than any other president.
He has had the fewest press conferences than any president since the advent of TV. Why? Did he have a communication problem?
He signed more laws and executive orders amending the Constitution than any other president.
He cut health care benefits for war veterans.
He made his presidency the most secretive and unaccountable of any in U. S. history.
Members of his cabinet are the richest of any administration in U. S. history. (The poorest multimillionaire, Condoleeza Rice – she has a Chevron oil tanker named after her.)

Julie… We bailed out the UAW… As far as ACORN goes, I hope they lose so much federal support that they are disbanded. How many more charges have to be brought against this group before you quit being their cheerleader? They are corrupt. And I am willing to bet all the way to the top!

      • DaveH

        Robin,
Unfortunately they will just regroup under a new name. But at least it’s a start.

      • Michael J.

Robin, there exists between Obama, Acorn and SEIU a putred vile symbiosis that would make a billy goat puke. All this and more shall soon be revealed. The videos showed that the same techniques are used by Acorn associates in all four corners of the country. This proves that the problem is systemic and not just a few bad employees. It proves that associates are trained in this manner. And guess who trained the trainors? That’s right, the annointed one himself.

      • JeffH

You have hit the nail on the proverbial head! A very strong and documented relationship exists, and includes the Tides link with Michelle O. The path of this White House is crystal clear.

      • JeffH

…and dare I mention that Soros is behind it all.

  • Barbra Bronsberg

Every single state that had fraud in their election process by Acorn should now force a recount as they were getting their liberal democrats elected. Franken would be out as would many others.
Time to clean house and I hope in 2010 the people wake up enough to do just that.

    • http://Yahoo Dee D

Barbra – Be careful what you ask for. If we went all the way back to 2000 on voter fraud – just maybe we would not have been hung out to dry and all that has come down the pike would never have happened.

      • DaveH

You know Dee, maybe you have a point. If Al Gore had been declared president in 2000, this country’s citizens would have been woke up 8 years earlier to the dangers of Big Government.
Big Government is the problem, not the solution.

      • http://Yahoo Dee D

I agree with you 100% on the big Government. Wonder just what it would take for all citizens to get back their control. We are the Government and we’ve hung ourselves out to dry because we allow the crooks to continue picking our bones clean.

      • eyeswideopen

DaveH, Jeff is always on me for siting the Repubs for everything, but I notice you constantly keep saying Big Government, Big Government. Yet he never calls you out, he may be leaning towards the Libertarian party, you probably should hop on that quickly. Good Luck, lol

      • JeffH

Big government includes Democrats and Republican, and I happen to agree with him a little more than I do you.

      • DaveH

I do that on purpose Eyes. I know, I am nagging, but I think if people see that phrase often enough they may start thinking a little harder about what is going on.
Have you noticed that as the government grows larger, the amount of dissatisfaction amongst the citizens grows? This is because one size does not fit all. As you can see from the various comments on this board, we all have different wants and needs. The best way we can pursue peace is to allow people to make their own choices about their own lives. Sure, there will be plenty of bad choices made (I make them often), but they will have nobody to blame but themselves.
One result would be to diminish a lot of angry adult rebelliousness. Another would be far less taxes thus more contented consumers. I encourage you all to look into the many benefits offered by the kind of freedoms which the Libertarian Party offers.

  • Barbra Bronsberg

Every single state that had fraud in their election process by Acorn should now force a recount as they were getting their liberal democrats elected. Franken would be out as would many others.

Right on Michelle – That would eliminate a lot from both parties.

    • Elaine

Absolutely! I’m quite interested… as I beleive that all the complaining about voter fraud in the last administration was fog so that we wouldn’t question the fraud that was being planned for this election. They could never prove any for eight years ..yet there has already been proof of it this year…ACORN!

      • http://Yahoo Dee D

Elaine – I got really upset in 2000 when the courts put a President in office I did not vote for.
It angered me to realize my vote did not count.
Like to talk a little more on voter fraud? If so get your facts.

      • Palin12

Too bad Gore didn’t carry his own state of Tennessee in that election. He would have won the election outright.

      • DaveH

Well, I guess you have a problem if you don’t think the Supreme Court decided correctly. Too bad they aren’t as bright as you.

      • http://Yahoo Dee D

Dave – When a court is stacked who says any of them has to be bright?

      • DaveH

        Dee,
The only way I can think of to change that situation is to put people in Congress and the Executive Branch who will appoint judges that truly do uphold the letter of the Constitution. If we as a nation don’t like the rules in the Constitution there are provisions set up to change it. Until that occurs, our politicians and judges should uphold the main law of the land.
I know of only one party that would work to achieve that. Do I need to name it?

      • eyeswideopen

        Dee,
you can count on every election in Florida to be won by the Republicans as they now own the voting machines in 65 of our 67 counties. ES&S, Diebold (who was just purchased by ES&S), and Sequoia controll 80% of the voting machines in America. Here are a few of the names who sit on the boards, Frank Carlucci, George Bush, Bill Owens.Hey you rt wingers don’t have to worry, all the next elections will be yours illegally of course, but you should be used to that. You are all hyped up about Acorn, but totally ignore the fact that one company will be controlling the votes? HA HA HA. I so can’t wait to see what color of brown shirts we will be wearing. You people are blind to anything happening that doesn’t give you the opportunity to attack Obama.

      • ccg

Its too bad you got so upset. Poor poor you. At least a man got put in office. Now we are faced with a naive, egotistical pathetic man that is ashamed of the United States.

      • http://Yahoo Dee D

ccg – I would be interested in your definition of a man.
Are you referring to a male who is a member of the Skull and Bones cult?
Who college hopped to avoid having to fight for the country he cherished so much? It is true – he was AWOL and disobeyed a direct order to be tested for drugs.
Wanna learn something? Do some research on the Skull and Bones and learn some of the dastardly deeds the members must commit so each can hold things over each others head to insure secrecy.
Do any of you know Kerry is a distant relative of Bush? Did you know he also is a member of Skull and Bones?

    • John S

      I agree!

    • eyeswideopen

OMG, maybe we can recall bush, and pretend that the last 8 years didn’t happen. I’m sure there was voter fraud here in Fl. LOL

      • ccg

At least ACORN didn’t kill anyone. Where is the outrage about Blackwater? Where is the disgust with people profiting rather handsomely from killing and overcharging for that?

Greg, A typical response from someone who has no argument and just want to justify the wrongdoings of fellow liberals.
If you can’t discuss the issue at hand, maybe it would be better for you to go over to moveon.org or the daily Kos to express your unrelated views, they like that kind of stuff. Anything to cover up for the Marxists and demean the people who depend on truth and logic to form an opinion.

    • John S

Quick, quick, change the subject! I can’t take the heat! The article is about ACORN NOT Blackwater Doofus!

    • s c

Thanks for mentioning the idea of ‘outrage.’ If you have any plans to be ‘fair,’ then you MUST slam dunk one of your role models (Queen Nancy Pelosi). Make her defend making tons of WAR PROFITS from the Iraq/Afghanistan mess. I thought you people were aginst us being in that part of the world.
Queen Nancy and her hubby are doing exactly what you’d accuse other people of doing. The polite word is ultralib HYPOCRISY. Are you up to the task, or are you just another multi-faced, mouth-flapping, give me what I want, everything is swell as long my heroes are seen as infallible’ sleazoids?
Put up or shut up, Greg. Do you have standards, or are you like your non-reading, non-understanding role models in Congress? Here’s your chance. I’ll bet you can’t handle it.

      • http://Yahoo Dee D

S C, Pelosi did not take us into Iraq in an illegal war.
If the Cheney/Bush administration had not broken their promise and finished the job in Afghanistan – Obama would not have inherited the mess in the first place.
Let’s stop blaming others for the mess your warlord God’s got us into.

      • AnhydrousBob

        Dee D,
Only Congress can declare war and appropriate funds. Pelosi is in congress and voted at least once to FUND the wars – although I think she did vote no on the original vote to go to War.
My point is the President AND Congress are complicit, quit being partisan and letting your side off the hook, and blaming the other side for everything.
You suffer from cognitive dissonance. If you’re going to be an ideologue, at least have some principles to define your ideas instead of just calling opponents sheeple, and saying anyone who disagrees with you is drinking Kool-aid.

      • http://Yahoo Dee D

AnhydrousBob – I must say if the shoe fits wear it.
Try reading a few of the earlier post to see just who and how many different people are name callers. I’m thinking you are capable of telling the difference in posted names, aren’t you?
The only thing that bothers me is how anyone can justify the killing, for any reason of any human being in any way shape or form.
I will not make excuses for any murdering class of people – riding a DONKEY or an ELEPHANT period. It is also not my place to place judge any of them. My God will do that .I do not want to be guilty by association as the right is so familiar with that punch line. In fact almost every accusation tossed and aimed at Obama are the very deeds the Cheney/Bush Institution has been guilty of committing. The Right wants Obama to fail and they have not got the good sense to realize if he fails – America fails. He’s damned if he does and he’s damned if he doesn’t.
When the voters were angry because of how Jr was put in office – we were un-patriotic. But that’s not the hue and cry from the Right now.
They pray he dies from brain cancer – They want him to fail. And yet they say they are not playing a race card. They can keep on fooling themselves but they are truly fooling no one else.

    • BOE

To Greg…”at least no one got killed” are you kidding me? Because Acorn was able to get Obama elected under fraud…WE are all going to be killed. • April

        Amen Michelle!
It is time to weed out the evil on both the left and the right. It’s time to go back to our roots and bring back to order the check and balance system our Fore-Fathers set up in the first place (exe, leg, jud). Also, we need to recognize the original purpose of the left wing and of the right wing. The left wing was put into place to come up with solutions that aide in disasters and help the needy; the right wing is there to ensure that enough resouces are reserved for such cases. Both have their good place in government. The problem lies in the right wing unable to say no to the left wing trying to solve everybodies problems (government getting too big in the process); and it became impossible for the right wing to reserve the means.

      • eyeswideopen

April, greed is why we have no resources, do you not get that? The rt tried to grow this government after it cut taxes to the tune of 1.8 trillion dollars. That might have been ok, except we started two wars at the same time with no funding available. To compound that jumbo mistake they then passed the Medicare Advantage bill to the additional tune of 600 trillion. I am sure you get the impact of trillions and no money to pay for it, as it is pretty loud in our ears now, with the offending party playing the denial song everyday. SO YES, IT WAS IMPOSSIBLE FOR THE RT TO RESERVE ANY MONEY AS THEY WERE SPENDING IT TOO FAST.

      • sosted

How do you define excess greed? The top 1% is what makes the world turn.
Don’t be naive, most everyone is driven by a different level of greed and everyone has their own interpretation of what level is excessive. Even you!!
Who gets to decide what is excessive, those that have never even tried to achieved anything of significance and probably never will? Those that have never dealt with overbearing government regulations while trying to meet payroll? Those that have never created a job or paid taxes?
Is it fair for those that do not produce and are living off the blood, sweat and tears of others to decide what is a fair rate of taxes and what is considered an entitlement??

When the majority, mob rule, decides to cannibalize the system that creates the wealth, the end result will always be less not more.
Fact of Life!! You cannot multiply wealth by dividing it!!

      • DaveH

        April,
This country was created by mostly Libertarian-minded leader who had direct experience with oppressive Big Government. The prosperity that is created by setting people free is the best way to achieve your goals. There are many people (maybe most) who when comfortable enjoy helping out others voluntarily.
We don’t need the indiscriminate forced charity that is created by Big Government. The current economic situation is a good example. I know people who have been on unemployment for a year now, and they are making almost no effort to seek work. All those wasted monetary resources could have been used to help people who really have severe handicaps or other such misfortune.
A free society would address those issues at a more local level where people could actually see where their dollars are going.

      • http://Yahoo Dee D

The right is certainly guilty by association.
Abortion is wrong but out and out murder of mankind is ok.
I also feel abortion as a means of birth control is out and out murder.
But it seems only the rich can afford to get abortions.

      • April

Michelle happens to be right. There are some commie minded lefties out there and if you would do your homework, assuming you have any brains-which you are proving that a stretch, you would understand that Acorn is run by commie minded left. That doesn’t mean she thinks everyone on the left is commie minded. Check out who is in office acting as President and who he surrounds himself with. Or do you follow the commie minded press like a brainless sheeple. Why do you defend the evil doers on one side instead of being constant? Both sides are morally out of whack, but you like to chose the worst of two evils to defend. PITIFUL!

I never thought I would see happiness and glee from citizens in this country when we lost a bid to highlight our country to the world. Yes it is very apparent that the Rt wingers are truly anti-American, you all need to contact Michelle Bachman and turn yourselves in, as she wanted an investigation of Congressmen to see who was Anti-American, and she will be very pleased to know that her own party qualifies.

      • ccg

Of course it doesn’t matter that Obama’s closest advisor Valerie Jarrett would stand to make a fortune off of this. The White House even waived her Ethics in order for her to be involved in this fiasco of getting the Olympics brought to Chicago.
This is going to cost a fortune for the City of Chicago, and for the people of the United States to benefit a few? Where is the good common sense in that? There isn’t any, especially when we have too many citizens without jobs.
Also, what about the million dollar fuel cost times two to take Michelle and Valerie Jarrett in one jet, and then the very next day to fly the President over in Air Force One. Yeah, we can really throw the money around for this type of nonesense, and then we just raise the taxes on all of these unemployed people. Sure, that makes a lot of sense.

Hello EWO, How long will it be before Jimmy Carter comes out to state that the IOC made their choice as a result of Obama being a black man?

      • DaveH

I enjoy the Olympics, as I like to see people working to become their best. But I don’t enjoy the politics of the games. It would be cool to see the best athletes in the world regardless of whether they are pro or amateur. And it would be cool to leave out all the bullcrap of which country they represent. I would much rather see them represent themselves.

There are those that would like to blame it on the joyous right or Republicans and those that will compare Bush’s trip to the games with Obamas’ lobbying effort to the IOC, but who believes the IOC just didn’t want Chicago for the games. The bigger question is, will Obama boycott the games, or will he take Michelle and Oprah with him to watch the games. That would qualify him for trip #2, one more than Bush. God forbid the right would dare to bash Obama then.

      • eyeswideopen

If Obama catches up with the vacation record of Bush, then you little people have something to complain about. Taking a month off after the first 6 months of being in office was a little much. However records show that he was on vacation 33.33 % of the time he was in office. So Obama has a lot of frequent flier miles to catch up with…lol. Why don’t you find out what brand of toilet paper he uses, so you can bash that too.

      • JeffH

Your “old news” defense of Obama is just becoming laughable. If someone made the comment that Obama peed green, your comeback would be: Bush peed green for 8 years, so Obama has a lot of peeing to do to catch up! You are a joke most of the time.

      • eyeswideopen

What’s the matter Jeff, does it get to you that every time you attack Obama for stupid things, the previous President usually has committed the same acts, only carrying them to the extreme? I only point them out to show you people that what you are so mad about, you overlooked in someone else. For God’s sake the man took away our privacy rights and nobody blinked. Hey, you can get used to the financial mess he caused, but how do you justify illegal wire tapping? That is on the same level as revoking guns. By the way, he did ok, loaded guns in Parks, so how is that taking away our guns? If his goal is to outlaw guns, wouldn’t it be stupid to let us carry in Federal Parks?
I am familiar with Dc v Heller, and when the NRA was against fighting for our rights is when stopped believing in them. They waffeled all over the place and then finally got on board at the end. They are now just another political machine.

    • Denese

      John,
You say “some low level employees”, and it kind of makes it sound innocuous. SOME low level employees were caught in California, New York, Las Vegas, Florida, etc. This is probably just the tip of the iceberg. Usually when the tree is really rotten it goes all the way to the roots, and I think that will probably be the case with ACORN. If there is another organization out there that has shown a pattern of behavior this corrupt I say let’s investigate it, Democrat or Republican. Until we find evidence against this other unknown group let’s investigate the one we know about and quit complaining that it’s somehow picking on a liberal group. It’s picking on a corrupt group, as it should be.

    • Willie Stoker

John, Is that the same as “watch this hand while the other hand is busy doing the dirty deeds”.

It’s best to investigate the criminals and leave the honest people alone, that is unless you want to create a diversion.

    • James

ACORN’s former field director in Las Vegas agreed to testify against the group’s activities there. Las Vegas election officials say that up to 48 percent of the voter registration forms the group submitted were “clearly fraudulent”.

How far up the ACORN ladder do you have to be before you’re no longer a “low level employee”???

    • Bob Bartoe

      John,
You have to realize that a bad republican is MUCH better than a good democrat. When a democrat follows his desires, someone else always suffers and mostly large groups. When the republican goofs up he hurts himself, not an entire segment of society! You can kid yourself, try to make yourself feel better by saying the right has bad guys too. None of the right is as bad as the left. They, the left, suffer to affect everyone with their wild, irrational nonsense.

      • http://Yahoo Dee D

Bob – don’t know where you are getting your info. Fauxx Noise probably.
When a Democrat is in office the main street citizens and the blue collar workers get a few crumbs
Who made Social Security possible? Now admit it – it was a Democrat President – namely FDR.
Who when in office is trying to bankrupt the SS network?
Who wants to privatize it or make it possible for illegals to draw with only 10 quarters invested instead of the 40 credits American citizens needs to be eligible?
If every Administration would return the surplus they have all taken and spent it on everything but what it was established for – the program would be one of the richest programs implemented by any administration.

      • Rog

Dee D, you have no idea what you are talking about. Have you ever looked at how much you and your employer pay into Social Security over a 50 year period? Just take a look at your annual statement and project it out. I paid into Social Security for over 50 years, started take my monthly benefit at 66 and it will take almost 20 years before I even get back what was contributed, meaning I will be 86, if I live that long. Now what about growth of an investment. Just think what it would be worth at a modest 5% growth rate. I would be getting 4 to 5 times the benefit at a minimum. Social Security is not an investment, it is a tax. I wish I had the option of investing half of it in other ways, just like a 401K, 403b, or IRA. In fact, my IRA’s give me a larger monthly pension than Social Security and I put much less into them, and over a much shorter time period. So how about thinking first before you mouth off and make rather stupid statements.

        Rog

      • http://Yahoo Dee D

        Rog
I do know of which I speak. I also worked and contributed, as well as my employer. Yes we will regain our investment.
The hue and cry is there will be nothing left for the baby boomers.
Every administration dips into the surplus and never a penny returned.
It was designed so the older blue collar and retiring workers who have supported this country from square one would have a little to bank on in their twilight years. For retirement. But each administration adds a few more groups of people to draw from it.
Under the Carter Administration citizens in three other countries started getting SS benefits. When a Democrat holds office another three countries start receiving checks from SS. When a Republican is in office citizens in five or six countries start receiving the benefits. Disability payments come from it. Medicare, medicade, widows and children also receives money from the fund.
It seems every Republican wants to destroy it all together or privatize it. WHY? Because a Democrat is responsible for such a successful program?

      • Don

Dee, You know nothing about SS. SS was in itself a single entity that collected money from employers AND workers. The government added NOTHING to the fund. In 1966 Pres. Johnson and the congress saw a HUGE sum of money BILLIONS in the SS Fund and by law could not touch it. BUT Ted Kennedy came to the floor with a bill to add the SS Fund to Health Education and Welfare and then the government could spend all the money on Viet Nam and they did and from that day on SS was broke

      • http://Yahoo Dee D

Don – You are correct in the fact that the Government contributes nothing into SS. However, they all dip into it to even keep the federal employees in Wash. running.
None of our elected reps. or public service employees contributes one red cent as they have our tax dollars to keep them going on a daily basis and they have their own retirement programs in place.
By public servants – Police – Firemen – Teachers – Custodians -Sheriff -State workers -Presidents – V. Presidents – Representatives and the list goes on and on. Our tax dollars also pay all the above salaries.
Just maybe if everyone had to contribute and draw from the program it could be very solvent and the greedy right would have a reason to want it to remain healthy instead of misappropriating every penny they can and trying to destroy it.

We need to start creating jobs now and bring our troops home. This war can’t be won.The president inherit all this from the Bush and Cheney administration.Give Obama a chance. If we stay over there,we better start raising taxes.Use the stimulus money now,all of it.

        Thank you,

        Thurman Marcum

      • JeffH

Thurman Marcum…I can agree on the Bush/Cheney thing. We need out of the middle east because it is breaking Americas back. Our economical woes aren’t just caused by Bush/Cheney. It has been festering for decades because we have allowed government to waste our money freely. There is no party division when it comes to wasteful spending. That, my friend, is bi-partisanship at it’s finest.
The greater part of the stimulus money should be invested in Americas infrastructure and education and the security of our orders and our nation, and be used to create jobs, not “cash for clunkers” or “cash for appliances”.
Obama has his personal little agenda and the cost will not only be measured in dollars and cents, it will be measured by the freedoms we will lose.
Again, I submit that Obama’s ideals parralel those of the Anti-American Soros run Democratic party. The Democratic party has sold themselves to the devil himself!

There is so much corruption in Washington (both Republicans and Democrats). We need to weed it ALL out. ACORN may be a start. SEIU might also need to be investigated. And then there are the “Czars”. Without a vetting process we can’t be sure that these people are trustworthy either. The “I’ll scratch your back if you’ll scratch mine” mentality in our nation’s capitol needs to be rooted out. If we are to take back our country, we must stand up, take a stand, and let our respectful voices be respectfully heard.

Why would someone spend over 1 and a quarter million dollars to hide facts that we are all entitled to (remembering that he was ACORNS attorney) if in fact there is nothing to hide?

Well, I say DOWN with ACORN! But if you take off the head of the snake the body dies.

    • http://Yahoo Dee D

Leif – Of course no one will admit that Acorn may have been set up.
Naw, there are no crooks in Washington.
Also no one will admit any of the good works Acorn has done for any citizen in the United States.
What we need to be doing is taking back our Government.
I’ve pulled up articles 33 and 34 of our Constitution and I intend to do all I can to get the greedy leeches out of Washington – STAT>
Recall them and let them join the un-employment lines they have created for our citizens here in America. If they don’t like it let em leave this once great nation.

      • American Citizen

All the good works ACORN does like forcing banks to give loans to people who can’t afford them, thus putting us in our current financial situation, or at least had a lot to do with it? Or going door to door registering people to vote and telling them who to vote for? Or trying to register false citizens such as Mickey Mouse? The Corruption starts at the top, the underlings do what they’re told.

      • eyeswideopen

American, the Repubs have one of their own, his name is Nathan Sproul. Look him up and then maybe admit, that both parties are sorry.

      • ccg

Eyes, you are right on this one. There are bad apples and bad seed in both parties. That is why we need term limits. These Reps. are tempted with the big bucks and they succumb to it. If we had term limits we might be able to control the honesty factor a lot better. OK, ok, a little better. LOL

    • DaveH

I think what Leif is trying to say is that prostitution should be legal. Whether you agree with that or not, it is currently a law.
The Liberals want to saddle the rest of us with a plethora of laws, but they want to pick and choose which to obey. And Leif, what do you say about the freedom of the ficticious 13-year olds which ACORN was willing to ignore?

      • http://Yahoo Dee D

        Dave
How about all the young girls and boys from Boys Town that almost everybody chooses to ignore. Larry King is still in prison – I hope.
All this happened under Bush Sr’s administration.
The reason I am aware of it is because a stepmother of a cousin of mine was sent to Boys Town because she did not want to raise him.

      • DaveH

        Dee,
Sorry Dee, but I am not familiar with that matter. I do believe in maximum freedom and would lower the age for adulthood if I had my way. I gave my daughter nearly complete autonomy when she was 16 with the only caveat being that she had to pay for her own mistakes. She made plenty of mistakes but she had nobody to rebel against so she learned from her mistakes quickly. Anybody who knew her then would marvel at the decent, hard-working citizen that she is now. I believe that is the same case for adults. I believe people behave their best when they are left free to make their own decisions about their own lives. That is why I embrace the Libertarian Party.

      • http://Yahoo Dee D

        DaveH
It’s a shame our so called news media did not cover the facts that Larry King provided young boys and girls for the sick-o’s in the white house during Geo. Sr’s tenure. Makes one wonder just what was taking place at the time.
I have court documents that prove it happened because I was directly involved because of my cousin being where he was at the time.
Now for all the human beings that want to believe that Fauxx Noise is a reputable source for news and has a brainless lying crew to spew their garbage, I want to share a few facts with all. Some facts I’ve researched, some come from Leonard Pitts Jr, whose Commentary’s appear in many newspapers, and yes even Republican owned papers
As Mr Pitts said “There is a lot wrong with ACORN, and Fox was the only channel talking about it.” Like Pitts I might join this pity party if I believed Fox was a credible news source. I don’t because I personally have caught them in too many lies and twisted misinformation.
Consider just a few of the network’s and its host’ recent lowlights:

June 3:In a Bill O’Reilly column – he said he never called murdered abortion doctor George Tiller “a baby killer” Wrong or a lie? PolitiFact.com has documented 24 instances since just 2005, of O’Reilly referring to the doctor “Tiller the baby killer.”

June 10: Glenn Beck asks,”Why do we have automatic citizenship upon birth? We’re the only country in the world that has it.” Wrong or a lie? Canada has it, as well as 32 other nations.

June 18: Sean Hannity says that under the Cash For Clunkers program,
“all we’ve got to do is….go to a local junkyard, tow the juunker to our yards and we’re going to get $4,500.” Wrong or a lie? The program requires the car to be drivable and to have been registered for at least a year.

July 22: Beck said the director of the White House Office of Science and Technology Policy “has proposed forcing abortions and putting sterilants in the drinking water to control population.” Wrong or a Lie? The claim is based on a textbook John Holderen co-authored in 1977 that analyzed and “rejected” such means of birth control. Sad thing is they never learn from past mistakes – namely “Penicillin” the wonder cure all drug. How many did it kill before it was replaced with another drug? They said – yea – it killed some but helped many more. Sorry Beck – one life lost is too many for the profit making pharmaceuticals who cares nothing for the population, only the $$$$$$ signs.

July 31:Kimberly Guilfoyle claims the government will get total access in perpetuity to the computer of any participant in the Cash For Clunkers program who signs up at the government Web site,cars.gov.
Wrong or lies? FactCheck.org reports this claim is based on a security notice required of “car dealers” who access a secure area of the web site.

Every news organization -CBS to CNN to Miami’s Herald to L.A.’s Time gets it wrong many times and every single report risks reflecting biases. A certain percentile of any Authors opinion is in every printed piece or spoken, be it political, racial, religious, class, educational, geographical, generational — of the reporters. As long as the news business is run by human beings, this will remain true. I resent that of any item I hear or read I must use common-sense and read between the lines or determine what they are not saying to get to the truth and meat of the subject.

But Fauxx Noise is in a class by itself. It’s epidemic inaccuracy, its ongoing disregard for basic journalistic standards of fairness, its demagogic appeals and its blatantly ideological promotions it is,
unique — a news source in name only. According to Mr. Pitts, that is not only an opinion: a 2003 study found Fox viewers more likely to be misinformed than those who get their news elsewhere.
Yet, because of this network that cries wolf, of birthers, terrorist fist bumps and tea party promotions, mainstream media should wear sackcloth and ashes for their failure to take it seriously. Mainstream reporters should seek more sources among conservative activists and bloggers. But Fox forfeited any expectation of being taken seriously by serious people since it has made itself an echo chamber less concerned with reporting news than affirming the ideological biases of its viewers.
When faced with a broken clock and being happy only twice in a 24 hour period – I choose to by a new clock and be able to know the correct time all 24 hours.
I will relate a thought I truly respect as well as the Author:
“If you don’t read the newspaper, (or watch TV) you are uniformed, if you do read the newspaper (or watch TV) you are misinformed.” – Mark Twain (In all respect to Mr Twain I added the TV since TV was not around during much of his life.)
I have listened to many young whelps put the older generation down and blame them with so many of the current problems – I have to come to the defense of our older generations – All you wet behind the ear spoiled brats that has been given too much too soon should appreciate the same ones who have supported this country from square one and made it possible for you to have everything your heart desires at others expense. Keep the faith tho – You will become our future leaders and we’ll be sitting on our clouds watching to see how you handle it.

      • libertytrain

TV was not around during much of his life? Mark Twain died in 1910?

“If you don’t read the newspaper, (or watch TV) you are uniformed, if you do read the newspaper (or watch TV) you are misinformed.” – Mark Twain (In all respect to Mr Twain I added the TV since TV was not around during much of his life.)”

I think though, he would have probably agreed with your statement, in quotes above, with regards to television, and perhaps he might have added the Internet. He was a clever soul.

      • DaveH

        Dee,
I looked up this webpage on Canadian citizenry:
        http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/citizenship/become-eligibility.asp#age

The citizenship must be applied for, thus not automatic. And one parent must either be a citizen or be applying for citizenship.

      • DaveH

        Dee,
Since you got the above wrong, does that make you a liar? I think not. As you said we are all fallible. I don’t swallow hook, line, and sinker what any human being says.
I have seen Obama telling what must be intentional untruths many times. And I know he is smart enough not to really believe what he is saying.
All any of us can do is listen, think, and come to the best conclusion we can based on our experience and knowledge.
One of the biggest problems we have is there is seemingly so much corruption in government. But as you say, they are just human. They don’t know any better how to run our lives than we do. The solution is to get them out of our personal lives. Their only function should be to protect us from force by the hands of others. That’s why I will only vote for Libertarians.

      • eyeswideopen

Dee, girl, I didn’t have the patience to do what you did. I know there are many, many, many more examples of the lies and mis-construing of the facts broadcast by Fox news, but it would take you forever to write it, and nobody on this site would read it anyway. I do want to thank you for putting forth the effort. You and I can’t compete with Murdoch’s money, and we are probably foolish to waste our emotions and time, trying to get any of these people to even entertain the idea that Obama hasn’t had the time to be able to cause the economy to almost collapse, took away our privacy rights, passed a medicare bill, with no funding and caused such hatred of us throughout the world. It is a miracle to retroactively have started both wars, but what the hell, he might as well get blamed for that too, what’s another lie? I just wish he hadn’t passed all those tax cuts as we sure could have used them for the soldiers. LOL.

      • JeffH

What I can find about all of this is cloudy and coverd up, but what sticks out is Craig J. Spence and a scheme to set up and blackmail higher level officials and Barney Franks involvement.

Not much is definitive except this link raises the conspiicy theory.
        (SENTENCE REMOVED FOR OFFENSIVE CONTENT)
…In which other prostitutes corroborate Gobies’ claims that Rep. Barney Frank knew of his use of the congressman’s apartment for use as a bordello. Gobie also claims that Craig Spence was one of his clients and had tried to recruit him to help “in a sordid scheme to blackmail the powerful politicians invited to his lavish parties.” Gobie claimed that Mr. Spence said to him, “Do you know what kind of power you can have over people if you’ve got something on them? . . . I need boys and girls for people in government and high-level businessmen for my parties, for individuals, for whatever comes up.”

      • http://Yahoo Dee D

Thank you DaveH – Now you’ve made me a little smarter.
However there are many ways one can circumvent the laws on the book. I got my information from friends who are born full blooded Canadian’s. As everyone knows, it almost takes a Lawyer to understand the laws that are supposed to control the masses. No law is ever removed from the books, just added to. As a result you can take any law and twist it to serve any goal you are trying to achieve.
I do appreciate your taking the time to look it up tho. If more were like you there would maybe be a chance for our country to overcome the problems facing her today.
I tape politicians running for office. I’ve got a couple of hundred tapes. When re-election time comes around I like to review my tapes to see who and how bad some have lied to the citizens. I then cast my vote accordingly. I also let the incompetent, lying incumbents know about their lies explaining why they will not get my vote.
But 2000 really upset me. When any group can discard any voters ballot and file it in a round file – then I fear Democracy is dead.
My daughter and her husband, who had been voting at the same precient
for years, having their vote challenged, was the icing on the cake. She absolutely could not get a guarantee her vote would be counted. In fact she was laughed at when trying to get a guarantee.
I live in a predominately Republican seat and I know for a fact that the wife of a politician was trying to buy votes for $100.00. Her daughter also has a handicapped child and the tax payers in our district supported her and her family, while her father allowed her to put in time and draw wages under the table at his business so she would have spending money. Politics is a nasty and dirty game for wanna-be rich fast at any ones expense except their own.
I worry about so very many of our citizens who allow others to do their thinking for them. I’m not the sharpest tack in the box and I have and will continue making mistakes. I am dummer than day old dirt but not completely stupid either.
Yes, libertytrain – TV has been around longer than the average individual may think possible. There are some who laughs at and consider us older folks daffy or square, but we’ve got a lot of miles under our feet and has made life much too easy for a lot of the younger generations.

      • eyeswideopen

Dave you are right prostitution is not legal, however Sen. Viter is still serving in the Congress, after admitting that he participated in the prostitution ring. Actually he has been involved with three different situations involving pay for sex. He thought since nothing has happened in two years, that he is scott free, but no, guess what, finally someone figured out that it is not good for a Senator to be breaking the law. He just had to open his big mouth and make a hypocrite of himself, which just drew attention to his little folly and now he is back in the lime lite of the ethics gang.

      • David

Wow so Barney Frank’s gay prostitution ring at his house was ok? Hmmmm

      • eyeswideopen

        He should be removed.

      • DaveH

Well I would say vote the creep out, but I think I already have him covered since I would vote against almost all of the Congressmen currently in office except for Ron Paul.

      • JeffH

I think Ron Paul is a good American also.

  • s c

Chip, thanks for getting this topic on the web site. Now that ACORNgate finally crawled out from under its rock [no thanks to the prostitute, mainstream media], I’m looking forward to the 2009 ‘the ends justify the means’ approach that will be used by those who sheepishly believe that everything and everyone must be protected at all costs (especially if it’s illegal, immoral, anti-American and offers us a utopian ‘change’).
For those who don’t know, this group had a certain lawyer as its main counsel for a while. That certain lawyer is now in the White House. While guilt-by-association is not a good way to pursue a legal topic, in this case it fits. Man, does it fit!
Like the old saying goes, ‘if the shoe fits, wear it.’ So, comrade obama, get used to liking this shoe. As for comrade obama’s diehard supporters, enjoy. You not only earned it, you’ve earned everything that goes with it. May it leave you with a taste in your mouths that lingers until your role models leave the country. It’s true what they say about payback. Man, is it time for payback. Bend over and smile, kookoids. Slurp that kook-aid.
Drink long and drink deep. Savor the flavor!

sc, I love your post. You are right on the money.
Thanks for adding to the topic rather than detracting from it!

Obama has had an intimate and long-term association with the Association of Community Organizations for Reform Now (Acorn), the largest radical group in America. If I told you Obama had close ties with MoveOn.org or Code Pink, you’d know what I was talking about. Acorn is at least as radical as these better-known groups, arguably more so. Yet because Acorn works locally, in carefully selected urban areas, its national profile is lower. Acorn likes it that way. And so, I’d wager, does Barack Obama.
Acorn is the key modern successor of the radical 1960’s “New Left,” with a “1960’s-bred agenda of anti-capitalism” to match.
Acorn’s tactics are famously “in your face.” Just think of Code Pink’s well-known operations (threatening to occupy congressional offices, interrupting the testimony of General David Petraeus) and you’ll get the idea. Acorn protesters have disrupted Federal Reserve hearings, but mostly deploy their aggressive tactics locally. Chicago is home to one of its strongest chapters, and Acorn has burst into a closed city council meeting there. Acorn protestors in Baltimore disrupted a bankers’ dinner and sent four busloads of profanity-screaming protestors against the mayor’s home, terrifying his wife and kids. Even a Baltimore city council member who generally supports Acorn said their intimidation tactics had crossed the line.

Well, Jeff, the repubs have their own little scandal maker, Nathan Sproul. Check him out, you will enjoy his history.

      • JeffH

He should be tossed in jail with all of the crooks. Just another political scumbag.

      • eyeswideopen

Jeff, they can’t throw him in jail, he is the biggest donor the Republicans have. He is their George Soros.

      • eyeswideopen

Jeff, incase I didn’t make my self clear, he is the biggest donor of votes for the Republican party.

      • JeffH

George Soros is anti-American, can’t you understand that, Anti-American…he hates everything that America stands for. To you, it will always be…a no brainer…you better hope he doesn’t reach his goal of total, socialism in America, because we will all lose then.
Do your research, as you like to say, and answer my question.
Is George Soros contributing an Anti-American?

      • JeffH

I am thouroghly convinced that you also are anti-American. You like ACORN and you like George Soros and most of all you like BHO!
        You are a friggin moron.

      • eyeswideopen

Jeffie, now sweetie, some people aren’t going to agree with you, That doesn’t make them morons. Surely you have read that I agreed with closing down Acorn, so you are acting like an emotional girl. Calm down, go talk to your buddy DAve, he will fix everything for you.

    • Ginger Lymbery

Hallejuah, there is a God. I wonder how many votes Obama got from the illegal voter registrations…Can we have another vote? I think that by now, there would be several million voters who now have “voter remorse” and would vote differently. We shoul have been in the streets rioting right after the election…like Afghanistan…we were cheated.

      • JeffH

Obama won the vote fair and square. You are right in the fact that there is a lot of “buyers remorse” in the direction Obama is heading us into. Most people didn’t look inside the man, they were schmoozed by his smooth talk. We are all finding out this guy can’t run a footrace any better than he can run a country. Other than bury the taxpayer deeper in debt and piss ‘em off with just about everything he does and insulate himself with a pack of left wing radicals that want to dismantle America and shape a “people run by the government”
government. Support every illegal alien and no-good bum with your and my tax dollars. Spread the wealth.
New changes will start to take place with the 2010 elections. Research you choices well and dump the incumbents. we need to rid this country of the likes of Pelosi, Reid, Schumer, Feinstein, Boxer, Biden and all the cronies that want to tell you how you can live your life.

      • eyeswideopen

Damn, Jeff I didn’t see one Republican listed for you to get rid of!! I guess you are happy with those that were there during the Bush admin? Even those who are under investigation for ethic violations? Super!!! Hypocritical aren’t you? They voted for some of the worst things that have ever happened to this country and you don’t list a single one.

      • JeffH

These are some of the most evil scumbags in Americas forfront and they pose a tremendous threat to Americas freedom. Hypocritical? Not at all. Yea, as time goes on and I educate myself a little more, I’m sure I will expand my list. As it stands, these maggots pose a far greater threat to freedom in America as I know it.
The fact I am from California and see that Feinstein, Boxer and Pelosi have put themselves above their California constituents and the American people only adds to my distain for them. These 3 are every bit as evil in politics as anyone, Repulican or Democrat.

      • Emily

        Jeff I agree with you!!!!!!
If I were a betting person, I would bet that acorn gets off free and clear. obama and his cronies will see to that. I really believe they will find a way to do that. Their tentacles are so outreaching. It’s a shame obama can’t be investigated thoroughly. My guess is obama is more involved with such organizations as acorn, the appollo alliance, and the seiu than we coul ever imagine.

      • JeffH

Every day Obama opens his mouth, Americans on both sides of the fence begin to realise he is no more than a bag of wind. He speaks volumes, but says nothing. His days are numbered and his legacy will read just that. He will be the President that made an attempt to socialize America and failed miserably. Some things just can’t be changed.
For those that want to chime in on the Bush grinder, his legacy is also written, and it won’t be good either. At least he was an American first and protected American soil.

      • eyeswideopen

Jeff, Yes American first, to what, take us into a war with Iraq? How American is that? Hey, I have an Idea. Go ask John McCain where Bin Laden is hiding, during the election, he said, ” I know where he is, and I can capture him”. Why haven’t any of you asked where he is? We could get out of Afgan. if John, would help.

    • Dan

sc, I love your post. I hope there is some organization out there that will pursue Obama’s association with ACORN.
