Joe Wilson was censured by a unanimous vote even though he quickly admitted his lack of decorum and apologised to the president, which was quickly accepted and aknowledged by the president. Absolutly no reason for him to be censured and removed from the legislative process, except for political reasons . Obama could have influenced the House to take no other action, but by not doing so, another opponent is out of action.

Jeff, it is really important due to the size of the House membership that a strict decorum is followed at all times. He violated that code and then refused to apologize to the House members. If they didn’t enforce those rules, we would probably be throwing shoes. It was his own stupidity and big mouth that got him into trouble. You have already received your Obama “middle class” tax credit, did you know that? Notice a big difference? Wait until the democratic congress passes cap and trade. I don’t know if you pay an electric bill yet, I base this on your naiveté, but, in CA, where they have recently passed green legislation (cap and trade is green legislation), our electric bills have gone up $50/month. With cap and trade, the taxes for carbon emissions that businesses will have to pay will equate to billions. You cannot be that naive to think that these businesses will not pass on this cost to the consumers (that’s everyone, including middle and low income classes); businesses are not that generous that they will take it in the shorts and absorb all the costs. I know this is a debate on health care and not cap & trade (which is another bill coming down the pike), so… also included in one of the many health care bills in the house and senate are taxes of 38% on the Cadillac health insurance plans. Let me spell it out, companies and yes, unions, that have (and they do have) these plans will pay 38% tax on them (written into the Max Baucus bill); do you think that the person that has that insurance will not have an increase in their premiums? Think again. Businesses that offer these plans will not absorb 38% tax costs out of the goodness of their hearts, they would go broke if they did; the person insured will pay for via increased premiums. And one more thing regarding a statement you made about the recession and the republican congress, before the recession and during the last 2 years of President Bush’s term, it was a democratic majority congress and they did have the lowest approval rating then for the pathetic work they were doing. Please read up on the recession before you make statements such as that. One of the catalysts for the recession was bad mortgage lending practices. This all started during Jimmy Carter’s (democrat) Community Reinvestment Act (CRA) and Bill Clinton’s change to CRA laws, also a democratic presidency, and neglected especially during the last two years of Bush’s presidency by the democratic congress when it was brought to their attention that there may be problems. Democratic congressmen (Barney Frank, Chris Dodd, to name a few) argued that there was no problem and they made no effort and dismissed the claims by then President Bush to revisit lending practices and oversee those institutions (Fanny Mae and Freddie Mac) using bad lending practices. Congress’ approval rating hasn’t changed even now as a democratic congress; it is still at an all time low. In the years to come, as you grow older, you may very likely regret some of the actions being taken now by this congress and presidency.

Grace, I’m tired of repeating this. Us Republicans had control of the house and senate from 1995 thru jan 2007. Deregulation of the banking industry happened in 1999. Allowing this economy to almost hit the depression levels of the past. Medicare Advantage passed in 2003 costing us over 800 billion, some estimate 1.2 trillion, but I’ll take the lower estimate. This law only put monies into the Big Pharma companies, giving subsidies to companies like IBM for 400 million for 6 yrs, so they could pay their retired employees pharmacuetical needs. The wars were never included in the bugets, that were supposed to be balanced, by law, which never were. To compound the bad decisions, Bush gave a tax break to the richest 1% costing lost revenue of 1.88 trillion. What exactly do you think was good about any of these decisions?
So, you think people who have the Caddy medical plans should be allowed to write that amount off against their taxes? By the way, it was not just the bad mortgages that caused the problem it was the rating companies, who didn’t even bother to read the mortgages prior to rating the portfiolos AAA and selling to foreign investors.
A true capitalist system cannot succeed without regulations, as it will implode upon itself. Us Republicans don’t ever seem to acknowledge that we had any responsiblity for anything. How do you think we can survive without reform? Do the math, even if you are a Conservative, just the math should allow you to see that doing nothing is not the solution. I still don’t know why us Republicans are not working to cancel this socialist government run program. How do you justify keeping it, while not helping other needy people??

You need to look at the facts not the promise from a politician. In 8 months our debt has quadrupled. If my taxes are raised to match, then I will be paying 132% of my income to federal taxes. The promise has been made that no increase for those making under 250.000 (me). But if you take 100% of all the income of all the people in the US that make over 250,00 you will only cover 6 months of operation expences of the federal government. Where do you think the money is going to come from?

Some have it handed to them; some work their butts off to get where they want to be. I think the fair thing to do is impose a fair tax and do away with the IRS. Competition between health insurance companies needs to be opened to all states competing. You will then see the costs go down and through competition improvements made in the system. I feel too many people are putting their faith in our leader. Faith should only be placed in God. He and He alone is the only one to rely on. Big government is not the way to go. Our country is a large country and to police it and make sure it is done correctly according to law is going to be an impossibility. We should be allowed to make our own decisions about our health care.

If we are talking about health care reform, then all it takes to see that our government wants to have control over our lives is to read the bill(s). All of what the president claims doesn’t tell me what is in those 1000 plus pages of proposed law. They are not going to save us anything in my opinion. It will instead cost a lot. I sincerely believe the government is intent on extracting wealth from all of the people and that it will use all kinds of deceptive means to do so. I do not want to live in a country where the government tells me “You must buy health insurance”. I would prefer to opt out of insurance should I have to choose between insurance and groceries (or a mortgage payment etc.). I went without health coverage for years (a time ago), and it didn’t cost my country anything because of it. I paid all of my doctor bills with no handouts. And I never hear anyone talk about how worthless insurance often is. We definitely have problems that require fixing, but big government control over the people isn’t the answer. Competition in the market place and good moral values in commerce will do the trick. If we could remove the corruption in the system that we already are aware of, costs would come down without any change in our system. We really need to be awake today, our freedom is being threatened in all kinds of ways. Ever seen the movie 300? Brave Heart?

They get to work here but how come they do not have to pay any taxes for all there FREE things. Just what we can look forward to – losing our rights, being told what we can and can’t do, being fined if we can’t afford health insurance just like when caught driving without car insurance, paying a hefty tax on the health insurance to keep cash cow flowing for bankrupt government. New Republic with socialism, marxism, stalinism and no real rights to anything including freedom of speech and right to own a gun. Stop and think about it – do you want to live like the Chinese, Russians, Cubans? Those people all want to immigrate here – doesn’t take a rocket scientist to figure out why. We have FREEDOM – they don’t where they live so they want to come here and enjoy ours!

Smilee, get real the Middle Class is the Working Class. My husband worked as a supervisor in our local hospital for 35 years and it was only the last year he worked that he made $50,000. The new hire made and 1/2 time that much. I was always so angry because his experience didn’t count, only the fact he didn’t have that “degree”, even though he took all kinds of classes to keep up with whatever was new. We were able to raise 6 children even sending them to private schools. I took a part time job after the 5th child to help pay for this. Everything I earned went to their education. I’m proud to say we have 2 nurses, a teacher, a CPA, a medical assistant, and the oldest who works for the Navy. He’s a Navy vet and a computer whiz and has a couple of patents. We worked in the home and outside the home and tried to be a good example for what a good American citizen is. We voted in every election, local, state and federal. We contribute to charity as much as we are able, live in our own home (paid for), and do all we can to make our community a great place to live (and it is).
I fear for the direction this country is going.

Its 1/6 of our GDP because the government did not take control years ago and left most of it to the private sector, that is why all other countries have so much smaller portion of their GDP for health care and have better outcomes as is shown by the WHO study and a two other studies and all three studies are similar in their findings, if you would open your eyes you would see the problems and then maybe could offer some solutions instead of crying foul and NO and the sky is falling rhetoric. Smilee – you are wrong – GREED is what is wrong with the health care system as it now stands. We need reform, just not the kind that is being rammed at us. What needs to be done is regulations installed to keep the insurers from hiking the rates skyhigh, take out pre-existing conditions, stop penalizing older people when younger people have babies and get catastrophic ailments to. Rates need to be more in line with what the income median is, not set to line a CEO’s pocket! Doctors need to be allowed to make the decision to operate or not, not some insurance adjudicator sitting in an office someplace who gives a rat’s ass about the patient or his outcome. Lawyers need to stop with the outrageous lawsuits, juries need to stop with the outrageous settlements for rediculous suits like someone who is dying from lung cancer and still won’t stop smoking! These are all rediculous and are all going on everyday of the week!

Our health care needs reform, but not what is being handed to us. The porkers haven’t gotten all of their pork into the bill as yet and they also haven’t finished slashing Medicare/Medicaide which will put all those using it on a downslide because we can’t afford to pay the new ‘spend down’ amounts that will be required to offset the bill. I get Medicare/Medicaide and I don’t have a large enough SSD grant to afford an insurance policy. It is the best I can do to purchase my death insurance so that my kids will have enough money to bury me.

Our elected officials took SS out of the protected fund and put it into the general fund so that they could raid it for pork, allow foreign immigrants benefits even though they never worked one minute in this country, and filled it with IOU’s that will never ever be repaid! Because of this, those who paid into SS may never see any of it if they are in their 50′s and below. For those of us who do receive it, we really don’t know how long we will have this income to live on. I worked my 44 qtr’s and had to fight 4 years to get SSD because I’m white and a woman with CFS. For foreigners to be able to get SS or SSD w/o ever having worked in this country and not required to fight with a lawyer in order to get benefits, this is a real slap to all of the working American people who pay into the system every day. My income comes from your payments. With jobs going away due to companies closing or relocating the work off US soil, who is going to pay for SS, SSD or SSI? Certainly not Obama or any of our elected officials! Just us taxpayers who are all losing our jobs. The recession may have started with Bush, but Congress was Democratic Majority and they are the ones pushing the buttons. Bush wasn’t the greatest, but he also wasn’t the worst. He put us in Iraq and BO is doing the same with Afganistan – different country – same loss of American soldiers! Now Iraq is struggling to clean up the mess we made and left for them. Who is going to finish cleaning up that mess?? Obviously not us. Same with Afganistan.

American’s need to stand up for our Country, our Constitution and our Bill of Rights! Remember JFK – what you can do for your country, not what your country can do for you. Makes perfect sense unless you like a socialism, racist, country where you have no rights – like China, Russia, Cuba and any other communist run country!

CLys. some of what you say is true, however, Obama didn’t put us in the Afgan war, Bush did. The policies started in 1999 when the Repubs had control of Congress (deregulation) is what caused this fiscal mess. It wasn’t possible for the Dem’s to be the cause of this,,, it took years for the Wall Street greedy,lying cheating CEO’s along with the private lending companies, the bond rating companies, to wreck this country. It was over a period of time from 1999 to 2007 that the effects of deregulation had in every fiscal concern in this country. It didn’t just happen over night or we would have been able to address and correct immediately. But since you are a Repub you will never accept any responsiblity. So just remember that you reap what you sow and we did have control from 1995 to 2007 in the house and sentate. Try to argue those facts. Oh and we did pass Medicare to the tune of 800 billion in 2003, but I’m sure that didn’t have any effect on the problem as we had so much tax money after Bush gave that 1.88 trillion cut to the riches in America that we didn’t worry.

I remember then President George Bush and his administration calling repeatedly for more oversight of the financial markets and specifically Fannie Mae and its ilk. No way was Barney Frank and Chris Dodd going to allow that. Those agencies were their playground and they received substantial monetary support from them.

The point of this is that Obama is not telling us the truth. His claim that we can provide medical insurance coverage for 30 or 47 million americans without it costing us a dime is simply to incredible for anyone to believe. Obama claims that he will get billions out of waste, fraud and abuse in Medicare. Good. Every politician over the last 20 to 30 years has made the same claim. How has that worked out for us?
There simply is no such thing as a free lunch. Obama cannot waive a maqic wand and make everything better. Before you say one more thing about how he is going to make our life better, you had better bone-up on a few facts. Start by learning about the history of the Great Society. Learn about the history of Medicare, Medicaid and Social Security. Learn about the fiscal health of those programs. We cannot have people who know nothing preach to us about the virtues of Obama care.

How many people actually realize that the United States Government is a corporation?How many people realize that thier State, County and Cities are members of that same corporation? Don’t believe me?

Historical Outline

1st: Martial Law is declared by President Lincoln on April 24th, 1863, with General Orders No. 100; under martial law authority, Congress and President Lincoln institute continuous martial law by ordering the states (people) either conscribe troops and or provide money in support of the North or be recognized as enemies of the nation; this martial law Act of Congress is still in effect today. This martial law authority gives the President (with or without Congress) the dictatorial authority to do anything that can be done by government in accord with the Constitution of the United States of America. This conscription act remains in effect to this very day and is the foundation of Presidential Executive Orders authority; it was magnified in 1917 with The Trading with the Enemy Act (Public Law 65-91, 65th Congress, Session I, Chapters 105, 106, October 6, 1917). and again in 1933 with the Emergency War Powers Act, which is ratified and enhanced almost every year to this date by Congress. Today these Acts address the people of the United States themselves as their enemy.

2nd: The District of Columbia Organic Act of 1871 created a “municipal corporation” to govern the District of Columbia. Considering the fact that the municipal government itself was incorporated in 1808, an “Organic Act” (first Act) using the term “municipal corporation” in 1871 can only mean a private corporation owned by the municipality. Hereinafter we will call that private corporation, “Corp. U.S.” By consistent usage, Corp. U.S. trademarked the name, “United States Government” referring to themselves. The District of Columbia Organic Act of 1871 places Congress in control (like a corporate board) and gives the purpose of the act to form a governing body over the municipality; this allowed Congress to direct the business needs of the government under the existent martial law and provided them with corporate abilities they would not otherwise have. This was done under the constitutional authority for Congress to pass any law within the ten mile square of the District of Columbia.

3rd: In said Act, Corp. U.S. adopted their own constitution (United States Constitution), which was identical to the national Constitution (Constitution of the United States of America) except that it was missing the national constitution’s 13th Amendment and the national constitution’s 14th, 15th and 16th amendments are respectively numbered 13th, 14th and 15th amendments in the Corp. U.S. Constitution. At this point take special notice and remember this Corp. U.S. method of adopting their own Constitution, they will add to it in the same manner in 1913.

4th: Corp. U.S. began to generate debts via bonds etc., which came due in 1912, but they could not pay their debts so the 7 families that bought up the bonds demanded payment and Corp. U.S. could not pay. Said families settled the debt for the payments of all of Corp. U.S.’ assets and for all of the assets of the Treasury of the United States of America.

5th: As 1913 began, Corp. U.S. had no funds to carry out the necessary business needs of the government so they went to said families and asked if they could borrow some money. The families said no (Corp. U.S. had already demonstrated that they would not repay their debts in full). The families had foreseen this situation and had the year before finalized the creation of a private corporation of the name “Federal Reserve Bank”. Corp. U.S. formed a relationship with the Federal Reserve Bank whereby they could transact their business via note rather than with money. Notice that this relationship was one made between two private corporations and did not involve government; that is where most people error in understanding the Federal Reserve Bank system—again it has no government relation at all. The private contracts that set the whole system up even recognize that if anything therein proposed is found illegal or impossible to perform it is excluded from the agreements and the remaining elements remain in full force and effect.

6th: Almost simultaneously with the last fact (also in 1913), Corp. U.S. adopts (as if ratified) their own 16th amendment. Tax protesters challenge the IRS tax collection system based on this fact, however when we remember that Corp. U.S. originally created their constitution by simply drafting it and adopting it; there is no difference between that adoption and this—such is the nature of corporate enactments—when the corporate board (Congress) tells the secretary to enter the amendment as ratified (even thought the States had not ratified it) the Se3cretary was instructed that the Representatives word alone was sufficient for ratification. You must also note, this amendment has nothing to do with our nation, with our people or with our national Constitution, which already had its own 16th amendment. The Supreme Court (in BRUSHABER v. UNION PACIFIC R. CO., 240 U.S. 1 (1916)) ruled the 16th amendment did nothing that was not already done other than to make plain and clear the right of the United States (Corp. U.S.) to tax corporations and government employees. We agree, considering that they were created under the authority of Corp. U.S.

7th: Next (also 1913) Corp. U.S., through Congress, adopts (as if ratified) its 17th amendment. This amendment is not only not ratified, it is not constitutional; the nation’s Constitution forbids Congress from even discussing the matter of where Senators are elected, which is the subject matter of this amendment; therefore they cannot pass such and Act and then of their own volition, order it entered as ratified. According to the United States Supreme Court, for Congress to propose such an amendment they would first have to pass an amendment that gave them the authority to discuss the matter.

8th: Accordingly, in 1914, the Freshman class and all Senators that successfully ran for reelection in 1913 by popular vote were seated in Corp. U.S. Senate capacity only; their respective seats from their States remained vacant because neither the State Senates nor the State Governors appointed new Senators to replace them as is still required by the national Constitution for placement of a national Senator.

9th: In 1916, President Wilson is reelected by the Electoral College but their election is required to be confirmed by the constitutionally set Senate; where the new Corp. U.S. only Senators were allowed to participate in the Electoral College vote confirmation the only authority that could possibly have been used for electoral confirmation was corporate only. Therefore, President Wilson was not confirmed into office for his second term as President of the United States of America and was only seated in the Corp. U.S. Presidential capacity. Therefore the original jurisdiction government’s seats were vacated because the people didn’t seat any original jurisdiction government officers. It is important to note here that President Wilson retained his capacity as Commander in Chief of the military. Many people wonder about this fact imagining that such a capacity is bound to the President of the nation; however, When John Adams was President he assigned George Washington to the capacity of Commander in Chief of the military in preparation for an impending war with France. During this period, Mr. Adams became quite concerned because Mr. Washington became quite ill and passed on his acting military authority through his lead General Mr. Hamilton and Mr. Adams was concerned that if war did break out Mr. Hamilton would use that authority to create a military dictatorship of the nation. Mr. Adams averted the war through diplomacy and the title of Commander in Chief was returned to him.

10th: In 1917, Corp. U.S. enters W.W. I and passes their Trading with the Enemies Act.

11th: In 1933, Corp. U.S. is bankrupt, they force a banking holiday to exchange money backed Federal Reserve Notes with “legal tender” Federal Reserve Notes the Trading with the Enemies Act is adjusted to recognize the people of the United States as enemies of Corp. U.S.

12th: Some time after 1935, you ask Social Security Administration for a relationship with their program. With the express purpose of generating Beneficiary funds to United States General Trust Fund (GTF) the Social Security Administration creates an entity with a name (that sounds like your name but is spelled with all capital letters) and an account number (Social Security number). They give you the Social Security card and let you know that the card does not belong to you but you are to hold it for them until they want it back. If you are willing to accept that responsibility over the card you activate the card by signing it, which gives you the ability to act as the fiduciary for the cards actual owner Corp. U.S. and you can use the card’s name and number to thus transact business relations for the card’s actual owner. You are also to note that though the card verifies its agency (you as the single person with authority to control the entity so created) it is not for use as identification. On review: notice the Social Security Administration was the creator of the entity, they offered you the opportunity to serve its Trustee capacity (by lending it actual consciousness and physical capacity), they gave you something (the card) that does not belong to you to hold in trust and they reserved the actual owner of the thing (Corp. U.S.) as the beneficiary of the entity—by definition, this only describes the creation and existence of a Trust. More importantly: the name they gave this Trust is not your name, the number they gave the Trust is not your number and your lending actual consciousness and physical capacity to this Trust’s Trustee capacity does not limit you or your capacity to separately act in your natural sovereign capacity in any way—what you do, when you do it and how you do it is still totally up to you.

13th: In 1944, under the Bretton Woods Agreement, Corp. Excuse me?Who said anything about dirt floors and no electricity?It is about the principles upon which this nation was founded, ideals concerning being free as human beings to live our lives without having others enforcing their personal morals and veiws. Each and every person has the basic right to have their own beleifs and no one has the right to force their personal veiws on another. If you want free healthcare, socialism, etc; that is fine and dandy, however, you have no right to force it on anyone else…period. This nation was founded as a Constitutional REPUBLIC, not a Democracy (the only thing that was democratic was the proccess of electing officials). The Governments sole responsibilty to the nation is to enforce the people’s basic RIGHT’s as spelled out in the Constitution and Bill of Right’s. There are 17 enumerated powers given to the national government in the constitution and no others.
We as people should be looking at smaller federal government.More should be done on the state and local government levels. We want to be more helping to others (I get that, and am all for it)but we should be try to do things more locally and get the federal/national government out of our personal lives, they have no business in it to begin with. Want better health coverage? How about going to your county commission meeting and rally them to set up a co-op through the insurance co. to insure the entire county, city, or any other way you wish to set it up.Pay the tax to the county instead of the state or feds (that way you still keep the money local). Fix things in this nation….one city at a time, one person at a time. Elect people in your city that wants to obey the Constitution and the rule of law. Stop convicting people for victimless crimes (most of those crimes are about taking cash from the average citizen, because we have the moral police and moral laws) Who’s moarls are they? do we not each have our own set of morals? Get the fed out of business completely, federal regulation is is actually hurting capitalism. How can you compete in business if everyone is stuck to the same guidelines? By going local on regulations, it would stimulate competion from neighboring cities, insurance, sevice’s etc.
This in turn stimulates price drops (supply and demand ie. if I have a product and you have they same product and I can sell mine for 20% less than you…guess who is gonna sell more product?). This is just basic economics. The key is you must stimulate competition and to do that we need the feds out of it.The same with education…feds out…locals in. Do you not think that you would have more say on your childs education if it was handled locally than with the fed involved?
Would rather see the city, local church and community pitching in to help Mrs. Smith down the block, who’s husband recently passed away and left her with 2 kids and a ton of bills or the feds handing out money to the banks that screwed up, paid themself exuberant sums of money and then have the audacity to ask us to bail them out?
I guess what I am trying to say is that we can do things much better and much more efficiently locally than we can ever hope to do it on a national level. Please take some time and think about it, I believe it is the only way will ever fix this nation.

Medicaid is only for the poor, many people make too much money to qualify for it and not enough money to afford to buy insurance, a woman in International Fall MN (It is on the border with Canada) recently had a baby and had to have it C-section and had her prenatal and C-section in Canada because it cost her out of pocket $10,000.00 less than it would have cost her in the US but she still had to pay her own way. It costs about $18,000.00 a year in premiums for a family plan health care policy, (often times your employer pays a big portion of it) and guess what those like Canada pay extra taxes + a small amount per month but pay no other premiums, Remember if we had single payer we would pay no other premiums in other words you would save $18,000.00 a year and your taxes would only go up a portion of that in exchange as all other countries have proven and few on this site has an open enough mind to take an honest look at them all we here is the same old stories about gloom and doom of them and most are not true and manufactured by the conservative propaganda mill and of course these conservatives here are not allowed any outside knowledge and thus remain ignorant of reality.

Most of the population can see this so why can’t you? BO has broadcasted ‘change’ to us, but what he is really doing is setting us up for socialism and not freedom the way that we know it.

I lived through many presidents and economy ups and downs. None of the other presidents cost us so much and allowed China to buy our debt. BO has already bankrupted our country. His healthcare plan is going to not only bankrupt us, but if people don’t buy a policy they will be fined for not having done so. That’s really bad for people who don’t have the income to afford a policy. Allowing taxation on our health insurance is abomniable! Since when should we pay taxes on insurance? Our govern employees, legislators, etc, won’t have to worry as they won’t be using the same insurance – they get their’s from us taxpayers and are totally exempt.

So please, Billy, wake up and smell the coffee and roses! You need to either go back to school and study American History, review it on line or at your local library. We American’s have defended our Constitution and Bill of Rights. Obama lived in poor muslim controlled countries and is trying to bring that type of life to this country. I just want to tell you that this is not how our country was set up by our Conservative Christian Founding Fathers. They didn’t believe in our government doing the things that Obama is doing. Here are the facts: 1. If the government does these things, it will take away our freedom of choice or greatly hamper it.
2. This fool wants to cover illegal immigrants also. I’m originally from Indiana and I can tell you that with the steady flow of people from south of the boarder, you have a snowball’s chance of getting a job in a factory these days. 3. Our founders knew that sucj programs would become too costly for the government and would turn into monsters. Look at Social Security today. They pay more of the budget on these unconstitutional social programs then they do on the military. Are there illegals on these programs? Of course there are. I guess that people don’t believe in the ways our founders said to do things: charities, family, and church. These are where people are supposed to be doing for others not these stupid handouts or bailouts. When smilee or billy grow brains, they’ll see they were wrong and will give us all a great big apology.

I agree with you whole heartedly. It’s not about giving the brotha a chance; it’s about doing things God’s way. “If a man doesn’t work, he doesn’t eat” (Look it up–it’s in there). These programs were designed to help people who aren’t physically able to work anymore–not for those who are lazy. Funds into the Agency became so large that Democrats from 1958 to 1968 decided “that there was no way all the money would ever be spent; thus, they decided to move the Social Security funds from “A Trust” INTO THE GOVERNMENT’S FEDERAL FUNDS. The military doesn’t just take anybody. You have to have some intelligence to fight these modern wars. And no one forces those in the military to join, we have an all volunteer force. For your info, two of our children, the oldest volunteered for the Navy while he was still a senior in high school. He still works for the Navy after serving nine years on active duty. Our second oldest volunteered while in college. She became an Army nurse and reached the rank of Major before she retired. She is still a nurse, working as an OB nurse and loves delivering babies. We did not encourage them to join up, but we also didn’t discourage them. We always told our children we would support them in whatever they chose to do and we still do. Now it’s rooting for the grandchildren.

I am an American, I am not democrat or republican. I voted for the man whom I thought would do the best job. One with life experience, experience in government and who spoke the truth. It was no Obama. And now I am seeing I made the right decision. He was not the man to lead the country at the time. No matter the color of the brutha’s skin. And he did have a white mother. I lived in a black neighborhood or should I say hood for 20 years. I was a victim of reverse racism, they’re were only 2 other white families in the area. I had only lived there for 4 months when they blew up my mailbox, my son was the only white child on the school bus he often come home with a black eye, bloody nose, until it got so bad I had to go to the school board. So I as a white woman consider it as an insult that I don’t like the prez cause he is african/american, people in the long run eventually show their true colors and their character.
