Can’t say I do. I have never been against people responsibly using fire arms. The problem I have is people that assume they need to whole arsenal and more. Look, I believe that the Second Amendment should be protected, but I also believe that one little word needs to be added in there, “Responsible”.

I don’t know why you’re attacking me since I actually don’t oppose the Second Amendment, so I’m a bit confused on that one. I for Common-Sense gun laws. Not the government confiscating firearms, but everyday people just using a little restraint in their use of firearms and knowing that they don’t need a military arsenal in their basement.

I don’t like GOvernment Gun Control. Why? Do they really think Gang Bangers and Thugs are getting guns legally? No! Too often are the targets Inner-City thugs, but the victims are Suburban and Rural people that just use guns to Hunt/ Protect their families.

I read your statements, you said you are a state Democrat, and you agreed with John, the Democrat loon, so I said you are out of touch. If you are not a Democrat, then forget about my statement.

You demand that all citizens be responsible. You still ignore, we have an irresponsible president in the office and congress members are irresponsible as well.

People are allowed to bear arms under their Second Amendment rights. The citizens have this right and have done so several hundred years. Except under Obama their rights are now being questioned filled with lies and exaggerated to fit their propaganda.

I don’t understand Obama either. People complain Obama did not go after drug cartels, only after American people, and Obama and his admin. are in violation of all amendments while he’s doing this. People said Obama could care less about others just as long as what it is is for him, and that’s all.

First, in reference to you ‘Democrat’ comment, I refer to myself as a State-Demcorat as Virginia Democrats have a long history of being fiercely independent of the national party. We’re further to the Right of Gun Rights, Fiscal Responsibility, and the Death Penalty. Last week, we rejected the National party’s “anointed” candidate for governor and voted 50%-26% to put Creigh Deeds, the rural State Senator approved by the NRA and a ‘middle of the road’ history as our nominee for governor. I’ll admit I’m centrist and consider myself a national Independent as the Democrats have drifted too far to the left and I’m no liberal.

Second, in regards to the rest of your response. Look, we have a lot of common ground here. I don’t believe it’s government’s god given right to strip people of the right. However, the one point I think we disagree is that the Second Amendment (when it was created) was understood to be taken reasonably and responsibly. Most Americans still do that, but there’s a small portion of America (left and right) that believe that they have to take up arms against their own government for the greater good and believe they need access to the whole arsenal and more.

You sound like a democracy hating moron.

America is a great nation – seditious idiots who think that there is massive conspiracy that requires them to hide in the woods with a big cash of guns are a joke. The ones that think that they have to take up arms agaist their own nation… traitors.

The world is a fascinating place loaded with opportunity, the government is not some monstorous demon.

John, first of all its a “cashe” of guns, not a “cash”. Second, are you seriously suggesting that Washington, Jefferson, Adams, et. al. were traitors? When you say that taking up arms against your country makes you a traitor you are either ignorant of history or you wish we still lived under British rule. Either way you are dangerous and clearly not the kind of American I hold in high regard. Look back above at the first sentence of Charlotte’s post if you want to know what would happen if all our guns were confiscated. I’m sure you are one of those who think it can’t happen here. Unfortunately I think that someday we’re likely to find out. And another thing…there’s a reason America has never been invaded…its not just our military of which the enemy is afraid. You are correct on one point however, the world is indeed a fascinating place loaded with opportunity. It’s too bad we have dictators and despots who would love nothing more than to destroy that opportunity. But if your definition of opportunity is the opportunity to shun personal responsibilty and let the government take care of you by confiscating from the productive members of society then your wish is being granted.
